Studio Ghibli is one of the most renowned, successful animation studios in the world.
And we've got our hands🐼 on one of the movies that inspired its co-founder Isao Takahata to form the company.
The story behind The King & The Mockingbird is amazing in itself - started in 1948 and finished in 1980, and only now getting a theatrical release, it's a French animation classic. And one that obviously had an ജimpact on the creative luminaries of today.
In the latest issue of Total Film, he says: "It showed me the possibilities of animation... t🐼his film was way beyond established ideas ♏at the time."
