Unreal Engine now ready for Android, first game due out this week
Big milestone for Android gaming
Developer 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Epic Games said it could be done, but no one expected it this quickly: the Unreal Engine, a powerful 🔯tool that developers use to create video games for virtually every platform, has now been tailored to accommodate An𒅌droid games. And the first game to use it will be coming in three days.
Dungeon Defenders: First Wave may just be the best-looking game to hit the Google mobile platform. With real 3D graphics, this action RPG features cooperative multiplayer, online c🧔onnectivity, and seamless drop-in-drop-out gameplay.
Epic made Unreal Engine possible in the mobile space when it launched Infinity Blade on tܫhe iPhone earlier this month. The game has been he🍌ralded as an amazing technological feat for the phone, surpassing what is possible on the DS or PSP.
Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is also already on the iPhone, at a price of $2.99. It's expected to carry the same price tag when it launches on the Android M🍸arket on 💟December 23.
It won't w♓ork on every Android phone, though. Thanks to the lovely thing that people are calling "fragmentation," the dozens of Android phones out there, just like computers, have all sorts of varying technical specs. Here's what your Android device will need to have in order to 💜play First Wave:
- 512 MB of RAM
- 800 MHz processor
- 400 MB of storage
That should encompass the vast majority of active Android handsets, but if you have an older model you might be out of luck. But then again, it's probably time for y🔯ou to upgrade anyway. Don't you love how quickly everything becomes obsolete?
