Plus, it's just fun to see all the different versions of Invincible and how they evolved in very different ways to the Mark we know and love. But for some, The Invincible War might feel rushed. There is🌠 a lot going on, after all, and some mome🌳nts speed by faster than Mark himself in the midst of saving others.

That desire to see more of The Invincible War is an understandable one, but to complain about the pace 🥃of it misses the point entirely.

Despite how wild the show gets each week, Invincible is far more realistic than the majority of its peers because it actually deals with the consequences of heroism in very honest, often brutal way♑s. Just look at how Mark struggles with the morality of killing to save others in this episode alone. So it's only natural that an attack on the scale of this war would take Invincible — and us — by surprise so quickly.

Other superhero shows might have been tempted to expand this key storyline for at least one or two more episodes. Some might have even made it the crux of an entire season, and that could have worked well in its own way. There's more than enough going on to pad the story out. But Invincible isn't like other shows. Instead, the series decides to go ❀for the j✱ugular with this brutal breakneck episode which devastates Mark just as quickly as it starts.

Extreme measures

It's worth noting that this didn't come entirely out of nowhere though. Angstrom Levy, the genius who kickstarted this war, ෴appeared all the way back ꧅in the first episode of season 2. And like in the comics, his storyline, the build-up to The Invincible War, actually developed over a long period of time.

After Levy was deformed in an accident that granted him the knowledge of all his alternate selves, he became obsessed with rev꧟enge, blaming Invincible for his horrific disfigurement. The pair eventually went on to battle throughout the multiverse where Levy toyed with Mark, driving him to extreme measures that would risk betraying his sense of self.

Eventually, Mark lost control, beating 🐷Levy to death. Or so he thought. After he was rescued from the desolate dimension he found himself trapped in, Mark carried on as normal with no idea that Levy actually survived. The show will fe⛎ature "space biker Crush, plant-loving Fern, and the magical Princess Amethyst of Gemworld," with the promise of storylines involving saving "Space Dolphins," surfing technicolor nebulas, and plenty of galactic exploration.

Details about the show are still under wraps, with an official release date yet to be announced, but we know Josie Campb﷽ell is executive producing alongside Brianne Drouhard.

Invincible War on the horizon

The second season already gave us an insight into what would happen if Mark g༒ave into the Viltrumite legacy and decided to take over the world with his father, but Invincible ෴Season 3's episode 7 is set to demonstrate the full scale of that horror with an army of the titular hero attempting to conquer the whole world, appropriately named the 'Invincible War'.

In the comics, the attack lasts multiple days, but is devastating with all groups of active heroes pushed to their limits to stop just a handful of evil Invincibles. Much of th♏e series has focused on what Mark can do when he doesn't hold back his strength, but this shows the result of our hero no longer restraining his morals as well.

Many of Earth's superheroes are greatly injured with cities across the world laid to waste, amounting to countless casualties. In exchange for helping each villainous version of Mark achieve their own goals, Angstrom🦋 succeeds in wanting to make the world fear Invincible as much as they did in his own world.

Mark's shame at his failure to save all those killed a🍨s a result of his battles before has already weighed on him.🌠 With episode 7's name, 'What Have I Done?', the Prime Video show seems to imply this will be the case both figuratively and literally as he’ll have to cope seeing multiple versions of himself destroying much of the world.

With that, the Prime Video adaptation of the Invincible War is going to feel a heavier burden on Mark than he's ever felt, but there'll also be a personal trag🌟edy in the loss of a certain hero to leave a big impact on us all as members of the audience as well.

The end of the road?

The reason for the altering of Shrinking Rae's fate in season 2, surviving getting eaten by Komodo Dragon whereas her male counterpart died in the comics, hadn't been mad🐎e clear until we started to see her character develop in Season 3.

Along with showing us as viewers more of her personality and backstory, we've been treated to this version of Rae as more of a grounded human being rather than the throwaway character her original version was. Despite that, her series-exclusive romance with Rex – followed by the confirmation of the Invincible War Arc's adaptation – has made Kirkman and co's intentions all ꦰthe more clear this time around: to add extra weight for the major upcoming death ahead.

In issue #60, a lone beaten Rex is facing death at the hands of one of the evil Invincibles. Completely out of ammunition to make use of his explosive abilities, he detonates his own skeleton to kill the alternate-universe-Mark G💟rayson, sacrificing himself in the process.

In the comics, Rex's death still hit his superhero comrades hard, especially Eve, given their history and born-aga𓆉in friendship. Be that as it may, everyone quickly moved on and that upset seemed to only be felt for a couple of issues.

By being together with Rae this time around, that relationship, having us witness its development an🌄d getting invested as viewers, Rex's death in this version will feel like much more of a loss to mourn.

Alterna💯tively, Invincible Season 3 could be going for a bait-and-switch this time around and have Shrinking Rae be killed instead. Since she barely survived the second season, it would be a huge twist that would arguably be as harsh as Rex's dꦫeath and offer an interesting alternate reality of what would happen if Rex was around for the upcoming Viltrumite War Arc.

Nevertheless, a🐠nother moment back in Season 2 with Rudy hints to Rex's death going about as it did before. After Rex died in the comics, Rudy adopted his name as the new Rex,🐭 to honor his memory since his body was cloned from his now-deceased teammate.

As a future vers🌳ion of Rudy as Robot appeared before Mark in Season 2 after he seemingly killed Angstrom, Eve called him Rex, implying the original did indeed die to have his name 🐠carried on by his clone as before.

It's time for Conquest

We have a𓂃ll been wondering just how far towards the Viltrumite War arc Invincible Season 3 will go, and with how tܫhe covered events of each episode line-up, it looks like the finale will finally be introducing one of the comics’ finest villains: Conquest.

A grizzled Viltrumite veteran appearing immediately after the Invincible War, who we assume is being 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:played by Brea🙈king Bad’s Jonathan Banks, Conquest pushed Mark to his limits in the comics – both physically and mentally – making for the most intens༒e finale on the show yet.

Daredevil (Seasons 1 - 3)

The Defenders

Netflix's Marvel series introduced four superheroes (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist) who went on to team up for the one-season show The Defenders✱. It's only eight episodes, and it's a great watch to fit in before Daredevil: Born Again.

Although♏ it hasn't been confirmed, The Defenders could make an appeara☂nce in the new Disney Plus show. At the very least, their work in this one-time adventure, in which they save New York City from annihilation, is probably going to be acknowledged at some point. Better to have it fresh in your mind.

Note: Of course, for a more complete experience of this viewing, you should also rewatch Jessica Jones (seasons 1-3), Luke Cage (season 1-2) and Iron Fist (seasons 1-2), but those are A LOT of hours of television. If you're only looking to have some context for Daredevil: Born Again, watching the Daredevilꦓ series and The Defenders should be enough. Now, if you are ready for ꦑa long Marvel marathon, all these shows are absolutely worth it.

The Punisher (Seasons 1 and 2)

It was hardly a surprise that Jon Bernth🌊al's brutal antihero The Punisher got his own spin-off sho♊w after appearing in Daredevil, as he instantly became a fan-favorite.

Bernthal is set to return as Frank Castle in Daredevil: Born Again, so it might be important to go over the events of this two-season show before watching the new show. If you've watched Daredevil season 2, you know Frank and Matt Murdock end up becoming close friends and allies, so everything about this character's background is important as we move for🐻ward.

The Punisher is a dark, complex, ultraviolent show that fo🌺llows a man looking for the truth about his family's murder. Given that Born Again is set to be equally brutal and bloody, rewatching thisܫ spin-off series could be a perfect warm-up.

Hawkeye

While the events of Daredevil, The Defenders, and The Punisher are all part of the Netflix era, Hawkeye was the first time that we saw Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk 🌱in the MCU timeline. This is an important distinജction to make ahead of Daredevil: Born Again, as the new show might rely more heavily in what has happened within the official confines of the franchise rather than what came before.

Hawkeye is an interesting rewatch as it gives us more details about Fisk, who is set to play a big part in Born Again. The character only physically appears in episodes 5 and 6 of the show. Howeꦚ🔴ver, it features a new side of the character through his relationship with his surrogate niece Maya Lopez (played by Alaqua Cox).

What happens to him at the end of the six-e🐟pisode season is worth remembering ahead of the new𝐆 episodes, and it served as a set-up for the spin-off series Echo (see next).

Echo

Echo focuses on Maya Lopez's journey following the events of Hawkeye, but the six-episode show also turned out to be one of the major set-ups for Daredevil: Born Again. The𒁏re is one fighting scene featuring Daredevil and lots of background story for Wilson Fisk, who follows Maya to her hometown to win back her affections.

It's a fun rewatch, regardless of the reason, but it's particularly interesting ahead of Daredevil: Born Again. In one scene, Matt Murdock shows up as Peter's lawyer, and he d🌃isplays his extraordinary abilities by catching a brick that flew through the window beꦓhind him.
