The Psychonauts studio has been quiet for a while, but it just reared both of its heads at the Xbox Game Showcase 2025 to reveal a third-person adventure game that's intentionally hard to categorize. There are some puzzles, some exploration, lots of💟 mind-bending sights, and, gosh darn, how did they make a lighthouse cute!?

The setup is that a stray bird causes a really old lighthouse to crumble down. Then, somehow, the lighthouse stands using ingrown roots as its feet, pat-pat-pattering across a fantastical world while trying not t🌳o topple over again. You can help it along its way when Keeper comes to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass on October 17, 2025.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Double Fine has multiple 🐓project🐓s in development right now, and this one's led by Lee Petty, who was previously the art director on the me𒈔tal open world Brutal Legend and the main game director of Rad, Headhunter, and Stacking. Petty made Keeper with a slightly different approach, though.

"When it came time to work on a new project, Lee was keen to start from a place that could not be so simply categorized by its genre, de𓆉fined b🎶y its mechanics, or summarized by its setting," an explains. "Instead, he wanted to explore the blurring of genres and to create room for something more atmospheric – a space for the player to really live inside, and take in the vibes."

Keeper apparently spawned from the isolation Petty felt durin❀g the pandem🅘ic, around the time that Double Fine was wrapping up its last game, Psychonauts 2.

For now, check out the full 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest schedule so you don't miss a single thing.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> I was pretty middling on The Outer Worlds, but now that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 has "basically borrowed" on൲e of the best bits of Fallout: New Vegas, I'm already planning my sneaky killing spree across the galaxy.

During the Outer Worlds 2 Direct immediately following the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Showcase, Obsidian did very little to fight the 'Fallout in space' label that was applied to the first game. Of course, as the developers of Fallout: New Vegas, that's not something Obsidian needs to fight, but this time, it seems to be ꩲleaning even further into the comparison.

That's thanks to its new take on Perks. Game director Brian Adler explained that "if anybody's played Fallout: New Vegas, they'll be very familiar with the Perks system. We basically borrowed that, but went even grand🎉er."

The Outer Worlds 2, Ad♈ler says, will have even more Perks than New Ve🌱gas did, suggesting that there'll be well in excess of 100 ways in which you can change up your character's approach. The team at Obsidian outlined a few of them, and the focus on some stealthy, assassination-y improvements is definitely speaking to me.

For example, there's the simply-named 'Assassin' perk, which grants a boost of speed if you get a stealth kill, making it easier to chain together multiple takedowns, or to slip into the shadows. There's also a slightly more morbid Serial Killer perk, which lets you steal the hearts from non-aggressive characters you slay, using these 'troꦉphies' to bolster your health.

And while these are bonuses, Obsidian's allowing you to lock in a few Flaws, too. I fancy a challenge, and am now a man in my 30s, so I feel like the 'Bad Knees' flaw - which creates a loud popping noise when your character comes out of a crouch - will add a certain realism to my Outer Worlds 2 playthrough. 澳洲幸运5开🌱奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 is coming in October, sဣo there's not long to wait to try out its New Vegas-style Perk system for yourself.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The Coalition has confirmed that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Gears of War: E-Day will be released in 2026.

The news came following the Xbox ﷽Games Showcase in an , where the developer also gave a first look🌊 at Gears of War: Reloaded in action.

The pairing makes for a compelling anniversary celebration for the Gears of War franchise, which debuted back in 2006 on X🍷box 360. Reloaded is set to launch on August 26, 2025, and marks the first time the series 🦄has landed on a PlayStation platform. It's shaping up to be a pretty dazzling remaster of the 2015 remake of the original game, and should be considered essential ahead of E-Day.

That's because Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel, tracking the events of the original Emergence Day – often referred to by chara꧑cters in the series, but never properly detailed. E-Day is when the Locust initiated a planet-wide assault on the surface of Sera, and the 2026 prequel will let us experience the horrors firsthand. This origin story will delve into the early life of protagonist Marcus Fenix, detail the making of the Lancer, and reunite us with Marcus' bestie, Dom Santiago.

Xbox has yet to set a firm 2026 release date for Gears of War: E-Day, but we do know that it'll land on PC, Xbox Series X, a🐷nd will be available on day one through Game Pass🌳 Ultimate. There is no word yet on whether E-Day will follow Reloaded onto the PS5, although it would be a safe bet to assume that it will eventually.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

Better still, the Gears of War will feature cross-platform multiplayer between all of these platforms for the very first time. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Activision showcas🥂ed a cinematic trailer at the event, confirming the first-ever consecutive release in the series following the success of last year's Black Ops 6.

But Black Ops 7 isn't immediately following the events of its predecessor. Instead, the upcoming F🉐PS is set some 40 years later – taking place in 2035, in a wo✤rld ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6.

"As a team, our vision from the start was to create a back-to-back series experience for our players that em♊braced the uniqueness of the Black Ops sub-franchise," says Matt Cox, general manager of Call of Duty. "The Black Opsꦑ universe is amazing. The creativity and imagination that goes into the storytelling, the rich character depth, and the incredible moment-to-moment gameplay across all modes is really exceptional."

Activision isn't ready to go into too much detail on how ga𒆙meplay is going to evolve from the introduction of omni-movement in 2024. We know that Black Ops 7 is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software (the same team handled Black Ops 6, with Raven taking lead on th🃏e campaign, while Treyarch oversaw the multiplayer and overall vision for the package), and that it will have you wield 'cutting-edge technology' as David Mason and his team fight back against a mysterious enemy force weaponizing fear across the world.

GamesRadar+ can also confirm that the Black Ops 7 campaign can be played solo or with friends, with the new entry featuring an 'innovative' co-op support. Round-based zombies will also return as you head into the heart of Dark Aether, and the multiplayer experience wil𒐪l feature 'brand-new maps' and 'near-future weaponry'.

Black Ops 7 will get a full reveaꦇl later this summer. Activision has also confirmed that Black Ops 7 will be released later this year on PC (via Battle.net, Xbox, and Steam), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One. The title will also be available from day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Thunder Lotus, the indie st🐎udio behind melancholy management sim Spiritfa🧜rer and the fantastic co-op epic 33 Immortals, just announced a brand-new game: At Fate's End.

Revealed at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025, At Fate's End is a gorgeous side-s꧋crolling action-adventure game where you "figဣht the ones you love," and it's coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 next year.

The game has a similarly jaw-dropping art style as Thunder Lotus' other titles – this time, with a seeminไgly h🍸and-drawn 2D comic look – but the developer is jumping to yet another genre.

The trailer above puts a lot of emphasis on At Fate's End's frantic platforming combat, which sees you zipping across the battlefield to dodge projectiles, side-step m🐟assive lightning blasts, and lock swords with your foes/family in what looks like mostly one-to-one battles.

"Wield the legendary God Swo💦rd Aesus as Shan, the deft young heiress of the Hemlock clan. Explore a lush, hand-crafted fantasy world," the game's description reads. "Defeat the foul creatures of the realm in combat. Solve intricate narrative puzzle🅘s, uncover painful truths, and hone both your blade skills and knowledge to face your estranged siblings in intense, emotional duels – and ultimately decide your family's fate."

Alongside epic, violent confrontations, you'll also be dueling your siblings with words. A sharp tongue❀ and carefully chosen dialogue will apparently beಞ just as important as your twitch reflexes if you hope to gain the upper hand.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Sea of Thieves seaso♔n 17 is officially titled Smugglers' Tide, and – you g👍uessed it – it's all about embracing the smuggler life.

It's kind of surprising that it took Sea of Thieves seven years to properly introduce smuggling as its own dedicated role with seemingly unique mechanics and loot, but here we are. During the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase today, Rare🥂 took the stage withꦿ a cinematic trailer for the update, teasing a whole new faction for the smuggling-minded, "explosive" new loot, and a new set of smuggling-centric voyages.

It seems like details are still pretty light at the moment, but, at the very least, we're getting a new faction, which is cool. Otherwi💦se, it seems like a pretty typical newꦫ Sea of Thieves season with some new loot and voyages to uncover.

This could be a stretch, but it also looks like some iteration of the keg rowboats from the Lost Sands update are coming back. If so, it's obviously nothing new, but those were one of the most chaotic – and, thus, enjoyable💖 – additions to the game in recent memory, so I'd be happy to see them return.

There's still no release date for season 17, but with season 16 only going live a couple of weeks ago and the standard duration between seasons being roughly three months – I'd be surprised to see it꧒ release any time soon.

In the meantime, find out where Sea of Thieves docked on our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best online games to play right now.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Two Final Fantasy games are making the jump from PS5ꦯ to Xbox Series X, and one of them is available later today.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - the second part of the remake trilogy - appeared at the Xbox Game Showcase, with Square Enix announcing 𝕴that Cloud and co would be available on Xbox Series X|S this winter. There's no exact release date for that just yet, but we do know that it's arriving this winter, so that should mean a launch somewhere in the next six to nine months.

That should give you just about enough time to play the other Final Fantasy game that's heading to Xbox. Final Fantasy 16, which originally launched on PS5 in June 2023 before making the jump to PC in September 2024, will be available on Xbox later today. For a massive JRPG like that, six months feels like a decent amount o🤡f time to make your way through everything.

If you're an Xbox fan who's been holding out on Final Fantasy over the past few years, then you're in for a treat. Our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 review said it "stands among the series' greats", while our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final🐈 Fanta🐓sy 7 Remake Intergrade review described "a loving reimagining of the original." <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> One of the more poorly kept secrets the gaming world has held in recent memory is finally official, as Persona 4 Revival was properly unveiled at today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Showcase 2025. No release date has been announced, but it's set to release on PS5🅠, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will be a day one Gಌame Pass release.

No release date for the🌱 game was announced, but a brief trailer showed some seriously glowed-up city streets that'll be instantly familiar to anyone who's played the 2008 PS2 original. To my eye, it looks a lot more impressive than Persona 3 Reload, but we'll have to wait and see what the final product looks like because this is just a🧸 tiny teaser.

You could probably call any game in the Persona series a fan-favorite, but that seems to be particularly true of Persona 4. This was an uber-late PS2 release that landed well into the PS3 era, and still stands confidently in comparison to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best JRPGs out there thanks to its effortless style, fantastic combat system, ♐and memorable cast of characters. A whole new generation is about to learn why JRPG fans of a certain age ido📖lize Chie.

Persona 4 is already easily accessible to modern players thanks🥃 to its Golden version, which was released for Vita in 2012 and is available on most modern systems today. The biggest question lingering over Revival is likely how much of the Golden content will make it in at launch, since with Persona 3 Reload we had to wait for DLC to get similar old expansions on board. Either way, it's going to feel real good to sink another hundred hours into a Persona game when this remake finally launches.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> As 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 continues, today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase arrives along with a variety of exciting new titles to look forward to – including Aniimo, an adorable free-to-play open-world ARPG that ticks all the big creature collector boxes.

Aniimo is no Palworld or Pokemon, but it sure does seem to carry those iconic creature collector vibes that made both games so popular – with some ARPG and open-world flair sprinkled in. Set to launch sometime next year in 2026, the upcoming game will see its players exploring Idyll, a "dynamic, interactive, and expansive" realm filled with enchanting little beings known as "Aniimo."

Players don't just get to catc🅘h these so-called Aniimo, however – they can do various things together. On Idyll, "you can collect, evolve, and twine with magical creatures," as per the trailer from developer Pawprint Games and publisher Kingsglory. What exactly is "twining," though? It's like combining, or merging, with an Aniimo. Unsurprisingly, there are also Aniimo-on-Aniimo battles, much like those in Pokemon.

While there's no set release date aside from the provided 2026 window, interested fans can pre-register via the website to keep up to date with news and have a shot at participating in the closed beta, a planned limited-access seven-day test, once it goes live. Upon its official launch, Aniimo will be available to play on both PC and the Xbox Series X|S.

First announced at the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase, Clockwork Revolution takes place in a fictional utopia in 1895, where players will dive into a world༺ of 𝓡corruption and fast-paced combat, and attempt to revolutionize the future.

This latest trailer boasts character customization, something darker lurking in the shadows, baddies that so perfectly make you want to punch them, and a time manipulation mechanic. Whether it's🦩 for getting the upper hand in combat, or altering the past to save the future, it appears this will play a major role in the upcoming title.

Clockwork Revolution will feature choice-based dialogue and FPS mechanics, set in the Tangle, t🅺he underground of the beautiful city of Avalon, run by Lady Ironwood who has played with the strings of time herself.

The Bioshock Infinite-reminiscent title will be available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers day one, as is the usual promise now with a🌳ny Xbox Studios published games. While there's no mention of Xbox Play Anywhere, there's a good chance it will be a capability come release.

Unfortunately, Clockwork Revolution has no set release date, simply a promise that it's "coming in due time." Until then, this five minute trailer will have to hold players over wit🍌h what it promises.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Mainline Pokemon developer Game Freak just lifted the lid on its action-adventure blockbuster, Beast of🐼 Reincarnation, which is coming out next year.

Just revealed at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025, Beast of Reincarnation takeღs place in the far, far future of 4026, in an era where humanity is all but extinct - massive fantasy beasties, corrupt automatons, and dangerous plant-based creatures now roam the land.

But our main protag (and her gorgeous wolf friend) has the skills to protect herself, at least. The brief looks at action place Beast of Reincarnation somewhere between Sekiro and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nier Automata. Plenty of feist🌳y, parry-focused sword swinging, with a dash of acrobatic movement.

Oh, and those massive boss fights? 2026 can't c🌼ome soon enough, which is exactly when Beast of Reincarnation is ♉due to launch for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.

You might remember Beast of Reincarnation was first announced, very 🍰early, in 2023 as Project Bloom. At the time, Game Freak said the game was "bold and tonally different from our prior work." That's very evident from the di♋re, speedy trailer above.

"In post-apoca🐬lyptic Japan, a land ruined by corruption and crawling with monstrous beasts, humanity’s last hope may rest with Emma—an outcast cursed as a Blighted One—and Koo, her loyal canine companion," the trailer's description reads. "Survive a journey across an ominous, ever-changing world where dangerous forests can erupt in the wasteland."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The former Witcher 3 developers at AA studio Rebel Wolves have revealed the first gameplay footage of their new vampire RPG 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Blood of Dawnwalker, as well as a 2026 release window.

I've been just short of obsessed with Blood of Dawnwalker since it was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:revealed earlier this year, and although its seemingly 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:rich vampiric lore still has its jagged teeth sunk into me, I've reserved becoming fully obsessed until I see some gameplay. Well, now along with the whole world I have seen ga🦹meplay, and yup, I'm full-blown obsessed now.

Dawnwalker's first gameplay trailer, debuted during today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, not only shows off plenty of perfectly violent combat—at one point the player character slices someone's head clean off—we also see some exploration, including said character seemingly scaling a vertical wall with a gravity-෴defying effortlessness. Like, he's not climbing it; he's just walking up a vertical wall. I guess that's a perk of his human/vampire hybrid DNA.

There's even a brief glimpse of the game's open-world during daylight, and I have to say, you can really tell these folks worked on The Witcher 3. Something about t📖he scale of the world, not to mention its snow-capped, j🔯agged peaks, reminds me of CDPR's fantasy opus.

Anyway, the most exciting n🤡ews for me is that Blood of Dawnwalker isn't several years away; it's due out sometime in 2026, which somehow is only six months away now. Get those woಌoden stakes ready, Dawnwalkers, we're almost there.

Former Witcher 3 lead says his new vampire RPG Blood of Dawnwalker has a smaller open world because "it feels more like you actually know the place" compared to "behemoths"

Grounded 2 will be available to play on Xbox Series X and PC once it launches into Early Access. Currently, there is no word on a PS5 or Nintendo release. However, before 🧜you sta🌸rt lamenting about owning the wrong console, it's worth keeping in mind that in 2024, the first Grounded was released on the Switch, PS4, and PS5.

So, the sequel could follow in its footsteps and make its way to other consoles in the future. Who knows, maybe we'll see it added to our list of澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: upcoming Switch 2 games as well! For now, though, it's looking to be an 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox exclusive.

Grounded 2 story and setting

Grounded 2

Grounded 2 is set a few years after the events 🌄of the first game in the year 1992, and will follow the story of the four original teens who are still missing.

If you're unfamiliar with the story of the first Grounded, basically, you are one of four teens who find themselves mysteriously shrunken down to the size o❀f an insect and trapped in a backyard. As they explore and try to ൩survive the brutal environment of the yard, they discover notes from Dr. Wendell Tully, who invented the machine known as SPAC.R, which can shrink objects and people.

It turns out that you are, in fact, in Dr. Wendell Tully's yard, and so is the SPAC.R. However, thanks to an explosion, the pieces are scattered, and you must find them all to get back t𓆉o normal. Although on the way, it's discovered that the company Ominent is behind your kidnapping and has been experimenting on children

So yeah, Grounded 2 has Ominet back in full force and up to shady antics once again, it seems. During the Xbox Showcase at Summer Game Fest 2025, we learned that this time around, it seems like the🍷 company is back to its old tricks, and it's up to you to survive once again.

In the Grounded 2 Direct following the Xbox Game Showcase, the development team at Eidos Montreal and Obsidian Entertaiment also revealed the world of 2 is larger than the first in Brookhollow Park, which has new biomes, from the likes of an icy environment that tak🐬es the form of an overturned ice-cream cart that's contents has spilled out, as well as a "spooky" anthill,

Grounded 2 gameplay

A screenshot of Grounded 2

Much like its predecessor, Grounded 2 is primarily a survival game that wi💝ll have you scavenging a gigantic world for materials, as you loot bug corpses, dive into dungeons🌼, craft shelters, and unlock upgrades that turn you into a tiny insect terminator.

Much like the first game, we expect that as you progress the story and battle massive boss bugs, you'll get to unlock tec🥀hnology and equipment that helps you survive as well as thrive in your shrunken state. Noౠt only will you need to stay alive with all the creepy crawlers after you, but you'll have to manage your hunger and thirst levels as well.

Stamina also depletes during combat, an♛d a nighttime cycle will make enemies more aggressive, so keep that in mind when you're out and about looking for resources. Like the first game, co-op is also a big gameplay feature, giving you the opportunity to play with your mates (or use them as a shield when fighting those giant bugs). The game can be played solo, though, so don't worry, no matter what kind of player you are, you are sorted here.

However, what truly makes ꧃Grounded stand out among other titles in the survival genre is its RPG-like quirks. Action ♍is expected to be split up with witty dialogue from NPCs, and you'll cover tidbits of lore as you make your way through the game and work to survive as a mini-person just trying their best.

During the Grounded 2 Direct, we also learned more about new gameplay features, including the fact that we'll be able to dash this time around, but so can all of the enemies we face - with the reveal that 🌟we'll also be facing cockroaches. Excitingly, the upcoming sequel will also feature mounts known as buggies that give us a new way to traverse and explore the world, and they'll fight alongside you when you jump off of them.

Can I pre-order Grounded 2?

Sorry, folks, but you can't pre-order Grounded 2 just yet. However, considering how the game is set to release sometime in July into Early Access, that may change soon.

However, you can now wishlist the game on both Steam and the Microsoft Store, so at least that's something! We'll keep you posted as we wait for more updates. In the meantime, you can read our original 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Grounded review to prepare yourself before the sequel hits.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The 澳洲幸运5开奖号ღ码历史查询:Indiana Joജnes and the Great Circle DLC will release this year on September 4 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft revealed today during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025.

Previously announced 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:last summer, the Order of Giants DLC promises more catacomb-diving and treasure-stealing with the🍸 intrepid Indy, though publis💃her Bethesda hasn't elaborated on many of its specifics before today.

But the 🔯teaser trailer that accompanied Order of Giants' release date announcement during the Xbox Games Showcase offers a blink-of-an-eye – but still comprehensive – preview of what the DꦯLC entails.

"A new adventure begins..." promises the trailer. Indy himself doesn't sound thrilled about it. We watch him trod the cobblestone streets of Italy, where he declares, "This is where it starts."

"Beneath the streets of Rome," he continues, "enter the city of Antioch." The🍸re, between stone statues of saints and old sepulchers, you'll have to find the "secret relic," Indy says, quite unhelpfully. "Bring it back to theꦡ Holy See. Defend the secret." Is it possible that Indy has somehow discovered the ancient origins of Catholic guilt? Take a look at the trailer below if you need help deciding.

I don't think so, though. This DLC is proudly about the Nephilim Order, or Giants, who Indy reveals by torchlight to be the behemoth subjects of those stℱone statues I mentioned earlier – not the Catholic saints. It seems that a blasphemous group of hooded strangers are still down in Antioch with you, worshipping the Giants... and they probably won't let you walk among ๊them without a struggle.

"Fate Of Atlantis felt like the movie we never got," says Indiana Jones and The Great Circle producer as devs reflect on the series' gaming legacy: "It really captured the spirit of the movies that came before it."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The Xbox Games Showcase came equipped with an announcement that nobody could have anticipated:澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: Grounded 2 is not only in development, but it's launching into Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access on Jul▨y 29, 2025.

To be clear, don't mistake my surprise here as me suggesting that Grounded doesn't deserve a sequel. It absolutely does – the miniaturised adventure was a big success, after all. Rather, ♎my surprise here is because Grounded only came out of early access on Xbox in 2022, and launched on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch last year.

Rather than continue supporting Grounded as a live-service for years on end – like fe✃llow Xbox Game Studios developer Rare has done with Sea of Thieves – Obsidian has instead opted to pursue an absolutely gorgeous sequel. The Grounded 2 reveal trailer seems to hint at an expanded playspace for you and three friends, new weapons and building tools, and the arrival of mounts and mounted combat. With the game just weeks away, we won't have long to wait to learn more.

It's wort﷽h noting that while Grounded did eventually arrive on Nintendo and PlayStation platfor💫ms, Grounded 2 will not be – at least not for the time being. I suspect that this is because the title is launching into early access, and that Obsidian wants to iterate on the core game before expanding out to other platforms.

Grounded 2 wasn't the only announcement from the studio in the Xbox Games Showcase. Upcoming Obsidian game 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 also got itself an Octobeಞr 29 release date, which is to say that 2025 is looking increasꦿingly like the Year of Obsidian, with the studio having launched Avowed back in February.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Super Meat Boy 3D is coming to Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC in early 2026, giving one of the best 2D platformers ever made a glow-up and a thir🐼d dimension.

Announced at today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025 live, Super Meat Boy 3D brings back the s꧅eries's bruta🦹l-cute cast and tone, but lathers it in a lush 3D aesthetic.

Levels look to be a mix of true 3D and flatter 2.5D segments, with som🧸e paths overlapping and sprawling, and others presenting more linear left-to-right segments typical of Meat Boy. There's a lot of verticality on display, too, with Meat Boy now navigating spiraling towers of horrible buzz saws instead of, you𓂃 know, straight towers. That's the power of 3D, baby.

Some 15 years since Super M𒉰eat Boy, which is still widely regarded as the peak of the IP, fans have reacted to Super Meat Boy 3D with a mix of excitement and relief. It's an exciting and am🌞bitious version of Meat Boy, and very importantly, it's also not an auto-runner like the lukewarmly received Super Meat Boy Forever.

Super Meat Boy 3D will be available via Xbox Game Pass at launch, anဣd will support Xbox Play Anywhe♑re cloud streaming.

It's been a good show for unexpected follow-ups so far: Obsidian is making Grounded 2, and 🦋it's launching into Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview nex⛦t month.

Pokemon developer Game Freak's new "one-person, one-dog action RPG" looks like Nier and Sekiro had a gorgeous baby, and it's coming next year to PC, Xbox, and PS5.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ninja Gaiden 4 is finally set to launch on October 21, 2025, marking the end of a 13-year wait that kicked off with the release of Ninja Gaiden 3 in 2012. The news was announced as part of today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, and came alongside a new trailer for the game.

As an Xbox Game 🦩Studios-published title, Ninja Gaiden 4 will launch into Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it'll also be available day one on 🔯PS5.

Ninja Gaiden 4 director and 🐽producer Yuji Nakao discussed the game's ambitions in .

"This game offers a lot of new th💙ings you can do — that’s one of its major appeals," he said. "We’ve paid special attention to the depth, range, and expansiveness of play, and especially to the techniques that can be elevated based on a player’s skꦬill level."

That expansiveness seems to manifest in a few ways. New protagonist Yakumo can sprint along walls and use the "Flying Bird Flip" to quickly cover ground vertically. Combat techniques include "Fatal Flash," letting you "match your attack with the enemy's attack" to create Blꦏood Essence that fuels stronger, Ultimate Technique moves.

Yakumo also has an entirely new playable form, Bl🎶oodraven. You cꦺan fight in this state, with a new parry-type counter and guard piercing attack tied to it, but Nakao says "it's a technique best used to pause in invincibility and observe enemy movements."

"You’ll naturally begin to notice opportunitiesღ where weaving Bloodraven Form techniques into your estab🍷lished strategies enhances your experience," Nakao adds. "The game is structured to encourage this kind of realization, adaptation, and growth."

Touching on the long-awaited return of🧸 Ninja Gaiden, Nako says "we often joke that 'we’ve made s✱omething that really doesn’t feel like a modern game—it’s just too hard. These days, games are trending toward being easier to play, but Ninja Gaiden 4 goes in the complete opposite direction. So don’t lose heart!"

Separate 🍒from Bloodraven, Yakumo has a Berserk Gauge that fills when you deal and take damage, unlocking yet more moves like Bloodbath Kills. Additionally, weapons have their own unique skills, so you'll expand your arsenal as you find more loot. I'm especially intrigued by this Caddis Wire grappling hook gizmo, and I'm hoping it can be used in combat as well.

Silksong was all over Xbox's handheld trailer during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, undoubtedly offering up assumptions that a release date might be incoming. And indeed, Xbox h💟as tried to narrow down its launch window, with company president Sarah Bond suggesting that Silksong would be available on the ROG Xbox Ally X at launch later this year.

Unfortunately, Bond didn't actually tell us when the Xbox handheld was releasing, which means that while she's attempted to narrow down the metroidvania's release date, we still don't actually know what date she's referring to. Also, we've heard something like this before - back in 2022, Xbox said that Silksong would, like all the other games at its sh💃owcase that year, be play🃏able within the next 12 months. Clearly, that has not happened.

While it's better news than absolutely nothing, it's not exactly the release date that players were hoping for. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Obsidian Entertainment has confirmed that T♊he Outer Worlds 2 release date is October 29, 2025. The news came at the Xbox Games Showcase, where the upcoming RPG was given a new trailer – a palate cleanser before the main course (the main course, in this poorly constructed analogy, being the dedicated Outer Worlds 2 showcase, which will run once the main showcase has concluded).

The release date means that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 will land almost six years to the day that its predecessor i🅠ntroduced us to Obsidian's take on sci-fi RPGs. The studio has put that time to great use, drastically advancing the complexity of the underlying systems and pushing more choice than ever before into combat and conversations.

The Outer Worlds 2 looks set to be one of the must-play upcoming Xbox Series X games of 2025, but it won't be a platform exclusive. Despite Obsidian being a part of the Xbox G🥀ame Studios ecosystem, the publisher has already confirmed that the game will launch day-and-date on PS5 and PC (via Battle.net, Xbox, and Steam). It'll also support Xbox Play Anywhere (meaning you can pick up your progress across PC and Xbox console at no additional cost) and land into Game Pass Ultimate and PC Gamܫe Pass.

The Outer Worlds 2 pre-orders are open now, with the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Obsidian game also receꦍiving a premium edition which includes a digital game download, a 'Corporate Appreciation Prize' cosmetics pack, a 'Commander Zane's Battle Pack', and a DLC pass for two incoming story expansions.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> As 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 continues, today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase is here with a plethora of exciting titles to look forward to – including High on Life 2, a trippy sequel to Squanch Games' 2020 first-person shooter.

The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:High on Life follow-up debuted during the livestream with its first official trailer, offering a first glimpse of the same extraterrestrial vibes and colorful visuals fans of the original game will likely remember it for. It seems to feature the same silly Rick and Morty-esque humor of the OG title, too, as well as its action-packed, punchy gameplay. The trailer doesn't just unveil gameplay, however, but also a launch window.

According to Squanch Games' new trailer, High on Life 2 is set to release sometime this winter – so there's not too long left to go before its launch. This period could mean anything from December to late March, which means either a late 2025 or e🍃arly 2026 release date. The FPS will come to virtually all platforms aside from the Nintendo Switch 2, dropping on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

High on Life 2 stands as Squanch Games' latest project following 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:High on Knife, the first shooter's spooky DLC from 2023. While there's not too much information on the sequel's story or what it'll revolve around just yet, it feels safe to say that it'll be as wild a ride as the original's own was. As someone familiar with High on Life, I'm personally expecting lots of shooting and stabbing – and a whole lot of absurdity.

Interested fans can follow Squanch Games on to wishlist High on Life 2 today, or keep an eye on other platforms' storefronts, like the Microsoft Store for Xbox and the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> I can't wait to help life find a way in Jurassic World Evolution 3 thanks to one of the most exciting new features it will introduce: dinosaur breeding. With the chance to take a first look at the next entry in Frontier's pre-historic management sim, game director Andy Fletcher and principal designer Sandy Sa♊maroco guide us through the process of creating baby dinosaurs, or "juveniles" as they're referred to in-game. As female triceratops are already roaming about, adding males is the first step, which leads us to the new and improved hatchery building where you can synthesize dino DNA and incubate dinosaurs to release in parks.

While hatcheries are a returning feature, there's a more detailed suite of options to play with this time, with Samarco revealing a variety of different colors and patterns that can be spliced into a dino's DNA to customize their appearance. Plus, thanks to a new integrated 3D dinosaur viewer, you can visualize what they'll look like before you start the incubation process. Not only do I appreci🗹ate the level of control this will give us to bring our own ancient scaly friends to life, but I also love the way these customization options can then be passed down to the next generation when the breeding begins. After setting down nests in the park and ensuring its in💝habitants have a high enough comfort level, the first eggs are laid, and it's not long before I'm looking at baby triceratops who've inherited their parents traits and markings.

Breeding answers a longheld wish among the community to at last introduce baby dinosaurs to parks, but it also promises to bring an added layer of depth to the management sim. When I sit down to speak with Fletcher following the preview, it's clear that adding juvenile dinos to the experience is something the team "always wanted" to do: "It's always felt like the next frontier for our dinosaurs rﷺeally," Fletcher says, "to have them fleshed out as families, as real animals who can breed and create generations of themselves, passing down traits, passing down aesthet🍷ics, and things like that. Just from a creative management simulation perspective, we thought there was great depth there."

"We don't want to go too far from the fr💖anchise, 𝓀because authenticity is absolutely king for us"

Andy Fletcher, game director

The dinosaur breeding feature also marries perfectly with the key conservationist themes and "global narrative" of Jurassic World Evolution 3. As Fletcher explains, the c🐠ore campaign – which will be the biggest campaign in the series to date – takes place after the events of the Jurassic World Dominion movie, which saw dinosaurs really start to become a part of our world. As it's set in an era of the "timeline where dinosaurs are spreading across the globe", as Fletcher put it, we'll be venturing to different locations ☂across East Asia, Europe, and America, as we work for an organization known as the Dinosaur Integration Network.

With the advent of breeding and juveniles, we'll be striving to ethically conserve the habitats we create and foster by ru💎nning sustainable breeding programs. During the preview, I get to see two locations that make up part of the world map, including a picturesque spot in Japan, and another park in Malta. Both have distinctly different terrains and building styles, and I can already see how this will offer up lots of visual variety when it comes to the parks we can create. For the team at Frontier, designing a campaign that's set across the globe presented them with the opportunity to bring us to new locations, but as Fletcher explains, it was also important to ensure every place feels distinctly Jurassic, too.

"Some are very evocative of particular locations or scenes in the movies," Fletcher says. "And we saw a level based around Malta; Malta was obviously a key location in [Jurassic World] Dominion. So [it's about] trying to pick on locations that are evocative for our fans and authentic🅺 to Jurassic, but also just have that mixture of new and exciting ones that bring not just new locations, but new architectural styles: East Asia is a clear example of that."

"We don't want to go too far from the franchise, because authenticity is absolutely king for us. We want it to feel Jurassic, feel true to that universe," Fletcher conti🥃nues. "You know, you've got Dr Ian Malcolm talking to you throughout the campaign, it's that kind of thing you need. You need that kind of touchstone to authenticity. But you want it to feel fresh, too. So we wanted to go to places we've not been before, and that global narrative just allowed us to step a bit outside of where the franchise has been."

You read that right: yes, Jeff Goldblum is once again returning to reprise his role as Ian Malcolm, who, as Fletcher touched on, will be acting as our guide and adviser throughout the campaign. While Frontier doesn't reveal any other modes we can expect to experience, everything I've seen and hea✃rd so far of the main campaign already sounds pretty ambitious in terms of scope, and promises to keep us busy with lots of dino-filled park antics. But what's perhaps most appealing about the campaign for me is the fꦜact that it's taking more of a non-linear approach.

The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best dinosaur games that are truly T-Rexcellent

As you progress through the campaign and unlock new locations, attractions, and dinosaurs, you'll be able to return to any areas you've already created parks in and continually keep improving and adding to them. It immediately brings to mind the satisfying progression system baked into Two Point Museum, where I could keep on returning to museums to iterate on them when I unlocked another useful feature or kind of display. Fletcher says the decision to give players this freedom was inspired by the kind of "❀light metroidvania style" progression of the first Jurassic World Evolution game.

"The first game, we sort of dipped our toe into that. It had five main levels at launch, and that was part of it: you'd go to level three, you'd unlock the monorail technology, and then you could go back to le🦂vel two and improve your transport rating. It had that light, sort of metroidvania kind of structure to it. And we just see a lotಌ of potential in that and we wanted to go a bit bigger on this."

"So, the campaign is bigger than any of our previous campaigns in terms of the number of levels and the scope of it," Fletcher continues, "and I think with that, it just lends itself to that structure, because you've got even more opportunity. You've got more options as a player to jump around, and going back and improving previous🐈 parks is one thing, but you just might want a change of scenery. You know, you don't always want to play things in order."

Customization and community

Jurassic World Evolution 3 screenshot of a herd of adult and baby Brachiosaurus

Ultimately, Jurassic World Evolution 3 sounds as if it's setting out to draw from "the best bits from the first two games" while also breathing new life into the experience with a host of fresh features. As someone who's fairly new to the series myself, though, I did wonder how the team was trying to balance bringing in newcomers comfortably, while also catering to longtime fans who are looking for a more in-depth experience. Fletcher says a lot of consideration has gone into both kinds of potential player bases, and I see that first-hand in the new creative tools that are going to be introduc꧃ed.

With an impressive level of customization on display that will be at our fingertips, Frontier's building tools are going to let us be as hands-on as we want when it comes to creating our parks. So, if you're a more advanced player looking to get creative, you can make up each building from scratch if you so wish, with the option to customize each individual piece of its structure – from walls, windows, ceilings, and decals – and adjust their angle, scale, and color to your liking. But for those who aren't particularly fussed about the building aspect, there are pre-made structures that you can quickly set down so you can get stuck into the management an❀d dino goodness with ease.

There will also be new terrain manipulation tools that will let you create tiers in the landscape that give you more freedom to💟 create enclosures that are fenced off in natural ways, such as cliff faces or higher ground. Not only that, but you can also now set down waterfalls and add deep water pools that semi-aquatic dinosaurs will actually transition in and out of as they hunt fish. Everything looks incredibly simple to use, with initial paint tools൩ that let you easily set down foliage, mold the land, and change the look of your park.

"Buil🅷ding those foundations for Jurassic World Evolution 3 [with Frontier Workshop], it's like a whole 🧸new platform, really, for the series."

Andy Fletcher, game director

A lot of player feedback informed the features introduced in Jurassic World Evolution 3, with Fletcher saying that "our players always crave more creative options in the game" and the team wa♎nted to "go really big on that this time, particularly because we want to add sharing options within the game". In order to engage with the community and really celebrate what they can create, the third game will allow you to save blueprints of your buildings and parks that can then be shared on a Frontier Workshop where other players can access your designs and experience your park creations.

"When I worked on Planet Coaster, that was the thing that really startled us when that game came out [ℱplayer creations]. We knew we had a lot of flexible tools, but I had no idea what people would go on to do with those," Fletcher says. "It was just staggering. So, building thoseও foundations for Jurassic World Evolution 3 [with Frontier Workshop], it's like a whole new platform, really, for the series. It's like the start of that type of community engagement."

"We already have a lot of great streamers and YouTubers who deliver great content for the game, but it's all been a bit kind of offline, as it were," Fletcher adds. "Sharing parks between themselves and the modding community, which is fantastic, but bringing some of that flavor into the core game, so that everyone can enjo🌟y it, everyone can see it, everyone can collaborate. Who knows what they're going to make, but I'm super excited to find out."

With a release date set for October 21, 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, we won't have to wait much longer to see what we can do with the tools ourselves. And even though I'm something of a newcomer myself, there's so much that speaks to me, from the chance to bring baby dinosaurs to life, to the impressive amount of customization, and the many locations we'll get꧑ to play around in. I'm alreadಞy looking forward to seeing what else it will let us do in the Jurassic universe this year.

The follow-up to the 2019 arena shooter that featured the innovative addition of portals throughout the map has seemingly gone out of its way to disappoint and enrage fans, and now 1047 is in rapid dama💎ge-control mode.

To catch you up, 1047 CEO, Ian Proulx, kicked things off with his controversial appearance at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest, where he said he made the FPS because "I grew up playing Halo, and I'm tired of playing the same Call of Duty every year, and I wish we could have Titanfall 3." That, and his 澳洲幸运5开奖🍃号码历史查询:new battl🦹e royale is "f***ing awesome."

It's a cool statement, and could have been one of the highlights of the show, as we also found out Splitgate 2 was launching then and there. But it wasn't. That's partly down to an 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:unpopular h𒐪at he later doubled down on, but also because the game itself was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历🉐史查询:stuffed with the kind of m🦋icrotransactions that folk dislike from other FPS games.

Now, Proulx has taken to the account once more to set some things straight, with a four-minute video promising one major change to try and mend 1047's relationship with players: "We hear you loud and clear on the store prices, and so that nano swarm bundle, we're cuttin𒉰g the price in half. Some of the other items in the shop, we're reducing prices across the board." This also means that players who have already paid will receive partial refunds in the coming days.

The storefront prices for the free-to-play FPS were only one of the major qualms players had with the game, which has led to mixed reviews on Steam. The battle royale mode is something fans never expected, nor wanted. Players flocked to the original Splitgate because of its unique qualities amongst an oversaturated FPS genre, allowing players to enjoy an array of modes that decidedly did not include battle royale.

Players are loudly voicing their disconte💧nt with one negative review for Splitgate 2 on Steam stating, "Yeah, you can keep your Temu Apex."

While Proulx is clearly taking responsibility for the store prices and implementing active 👍change, he continues to defend the new battle royale mode and tries to assure fans that it's not taking🐼 away from the other modes, claiming it's "additive, it's not here to replace anything."

Proulx attempts to frame Splitgate 2's battle royale mode as one that stands out amongst the crowd, stating, "I never wanted to make a battle royale unless I thought I could actually add and innovate the genre. And I think we've done that." Proulx claims Splitgate 2 is delivering more of a "battle royale-arena shooter hybrid," pointing out "you'll notice yo✨u respawn in it, you have power weapons."

The problem is, these features are not new or innovative; Fortnite, the foremost battle royale title out there, provides a reload mode, which allows for respawning, and has plenty of unique a☂nd powerful weapons to utilize.

All in all, it's a start. But it remains to be seen if everything can be fu🗹lly remedied over the coming weeks and months.

Splitgate 2 dev snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, channeling Borderlands 4's Randy Pitchford by upsetting fans even when his FPS is looking pretty good

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Everyone's favorite Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen, is returning to video games after his role as Clifford Unger in Hideo Kojima's critically acclaimed Death Stranding. As announced at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest this weekend, Mikkelsen is adding a new addition to his video game credits, playing the latest ce🌟lebrity target in Hitman World of Assassination. earlier this weekend, Mikkelsen shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes tidbit for both this 🐻new role and his role as Unger.

"I had no idea what was going on," he admits, when ask📖ed if approaching this role was different at all from Death Stranding, or if he just "jumped right back into it." Apparently, this is the one thing both roles had in common. He initially explained how odd it was when recording for Death Stranding to be in a room with no set and wearing the mo-cap gear, which he described as "green tights" and "dots on our faces." Despite being out of his element, Mikkelsen had no problem delivering a solid performance as Unger.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:For his performance in Hitman, Mikkelsen is actually stepping back into some familiar shoes, as he'll♏ be 🍰playing his Casino Royale character, Le Chiffre.

Ultimately, Mikkelsen answered the question by saying that "there was a difference for sure," before admitting that their core similarit🍸y was that he was kind of 🌜clueless about what was happening around him. Normally, that wouldn't exactly incite confidence in an actor's performance, but Mikkelsen is the type of person many can agree will deliver regardless of whether he's thrown into an empty studio wearing some tights or is in costume on a set. Besides, this lets the rest of us know that even if we never have any idea what's going on, clearly, we can achieve anything – Mads Mikkelsen is now definitive proof of that.

"I got to shag his wife and kill him, so let's see what happens in the game": 26 years before becoming David Bateson's target in Hitman, Mads Mikkelsen worked with the Agent 47 actor on a Danish short film

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> I choose my character because I'd let him kill me. in Chinese developer Bellring Games' debut title Mistfall Hunter looks as tough as dog teeth, but his arcane magic suggests a 🦄more sensitive side, a peace made with the unknown that gives death by his hands sparkle. Like lightning. Or wildfire. And, OK, fine, he's wearing a deep V-neck. If only I could figure out how🌄 to make him dodge…

Playing the Mistfall Hunter demo at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 is difficult becaꦺuse (sorry everyone!) I play games on controller, and Bellring's only provided my regrettably inflexible hands with a keyboard. It'll be a while more until Mistfall Hunter receives controller support, and the dark fantasy PvPvE game doesn't even have a release date yet. But, even though I'm struggling to press shift to dodge in a timely manner, I'm having the mo🦹st fun I've had all day.

Sitting on the couch, with Mistfall Hunter's shades of isolation-gray a🐓nd exhausted-white reflecting in my face like a sickness, I am 🙈shocked by two things: how I am no more proficient with a keyboard than a baby monkey, and by how much I'm enjoying this unique action-extraction game.

Developer Bellring tells me this in a later interview, but I'm already thinking it as I cut deeper into the dungeons that make up Mistfall Hunter's post-Ragnarök world – this game is Hunt: Showdown and Dark Souls' creepy baby. According to a press release, Mistfall Hunter "takes place after a dev෴astating war between Gods and Ou♓ter Gods, leaving divine beings fallen and their blood transforming into the Gyldenmist – spreading madness and corruption."

The dungeon that makes up Mistfall Hunter's tutorial is desolate aside from the zombified, dry-as-chicken "Corroded" enemies that stagger around and frighten me with sudden hits from their swords. Soon, I sort of learn what Gyldenmist does like I'm a baby bird getting knocked out of𒆙 its nest for the first time – with much confusion. After finishing a round of combat (clap for me!) with my brooding seer's interesting abilit♋y to summon little, magic-blasting turrets, I notice my character suddenly looks like he's in psychic pain – thinking about overconsumption, or something.

My reflexes kick in, and I successfully dodge through the encroaching Gyldenmist to reach a safer area past its golden fog. Since I'm playing alone, in an empty server𒁏, I get to keep knocking out C𓆏orroded to pilfer their clothing, crafting items, and consumables.

So it seems like Gyldenmist forces you to keep movin🎀g to your final objective – the extraction point. Mistfall Hunter supports up to three-person co-op, and its press release explains that you can either play the way I am, by defeating monsters for loot, or by taking on enemy players and risking death – which clears out your inventory.

But I live. Eventually, I come upon a funny, hairy little siജlv🌸er bell, a monster somewhat didactically named the Returner Woodling. When I kill the poor guy and stuff his head into the dirt, I get to leave Mistfall Hunter.

"Civilization crumbled, but a faint ember of hope remains as a shard of the Fate Goddess' soul endures," says the press release. "Wander🎃ing the mortal realm, she seeks out fallen heroes an🍰d grants them immortal flesh. These resurrected warriors venture into the Gyldenmist-laden ruins [...] striving to ignite a glimmer of hope in this Corrosion Age."

While playing without a controller makes me feel too bumbling to really be The Chosen One, I can a𒀰t least say I left Mistfall Hunter energized. The game's demo is damp and fantastical; it makes me feel like centipedes are crawling over my feet in the forest. It's atmospheric and kind of weird. It seamlessly combines Tarkov-like game loops with Soulslike combat in a way I had never considered before, but that now makes perfect sense to me. So now, all that's l▨eft on my to-do list is figuring out a mouse and keyboard.

"Games are meant to be engaging, not exhausting": Lead dev on promising Soulslike RPG pushes balanced difficulty because "if stress keeps piling up without relief, players will eventually want to quit."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> At first blush, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007: First Light looks like quite the depart🐷ure for Hitman developer IO Interactive, but apparently it's also not the straightforward, Uncharted-style action game that it appears to be. Fear not, there's still pleౠnty of Hitman DNA in there.

We caught up with IO's 007 franchise director Jonathan Lacaille during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025, and we basically asked him for a vibe check. Is 007: First Light the linear, cinematic action game it looks like in its 🍨from ♊this week, or can we expect to see more of the Hitman series' systems-driven design that IO has become known for these days?

"It's neither," he said. "IOI has a pedigree, and that fits really well with the [007] IP, so we are leaning into that, of course. But that would not tell the🍷 full story ... we are leaning a lot on what IOI does best."

So, it 🦹definitely sounds like IOI diehards won't be left wanting for the studio's signature style, but Lacaille added that, "We had to come up with a lot of new things that IOI had to learn and to reiterate on to really bring the Bond experience."

He mentioned driving as an example of a new gameplay mechanic IOI had to learn, as the Hitman games don't have driving. Shooting guns, likewise, is something you really don't want to do much in Hitman, but naturally in a🐼 game like 007: First Light, it's a big part of the experience. Still, Lacaille stressed that "we don't want the game to just go by shooting and shooting and shooting. We want to give the player a lot of tools to feel as smart as Bond in the game."

After a somewhat conspicuously long period of silence, 007: First Light is slated for launch next year on PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store.

007: First Light devs chose a James Bond origin story to help be "more relatable" to a "younger audience maybe than the Bond franchise is used to"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Horror heads endured quite the rollercoaster during last night's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 keynote, and it's all because of what can only be viewed as some sort of deranged prank from the minds and marketers of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil 9, now Resident Evil Requiem, which 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:got a new trailer about half an hour af🍰ter Capcom pulled some serious shit.

I was covering the show last night as part of the GR+ news crew, and I'll give you a peek behind the curtain at the most traumatizing part of the night for me. We were abo𝔍ut halfway through the show, and my irresponsibly confident anticipation for RE9 made it hard to care about much else.

And then SGF host Geoff Keighley started talking about the "30th anniversary of a legendary franchise" before transitioning to a brief animation showing the Resi💙dent Evil series' iconic Racoon Police Department typewriter, the zombie used in a lot of the promotional materials for the original Resident Evil, and finally Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

I was nauseous. This doesn't look like Resident Evil 9 at all. Something is very, very wrong here, I thought.

And then Lady Dimi𓆉trescu actor Maggie Robertson appeared with a glass of wine and a cheers to Resident Evil's 30th birthday. So filled with existential dread was I that I just about joined her.

Then appeared Capcom legend and Resident Evil executive producer Jun Takeuchi, who proceeded to rip my heart straight from my chest and dance on it with Geoff's ug♒ly sh🔜oes.

"About the latest Resident Evil game you've all been waiting for, bear with us a little longer. Just a blink of an eye more, and it'll be ready. We're incredibly grateful for your ongoing support of the Res😼ident Evil series," he said, wine glass in hand from his living room. I need a minute. I needed one then as I watched this atrocity, and I need another now writing about it.

The crashing out had already begun. "TF WAS THAT," I sent to my upsettingly composed c♒olleagues who had already moved on with their lives like normal people. "that was honestly so fucking troll smdh," I wasn't done. I needed to be heard on the world stage, or at least as much of the world stage as the good and true GamesRadar+ could possibly offer me. I started furiously bashing away at my keyboard with a headline akin to "you've gotta be kidding me..."

My anger blinded my reason. As a seasoned gaming journalist, I should've been able to sniff out Capcom's long game here, but I didn't. 20 minutes later, ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚI had written about 400 words of utterly unhinged copy I'm not even sure would've made it through my editor's filter. I didn't care; I had Things to Sa๊y, and I was going to say them.

Just as I was ready to submit my copy for edits, I was hit with a wave of commiserations from my co-workers. At first, I figured they were still sympathizing with me over the fakeout, and then I saw the flurry of messages like "WE'RE SO BACK" and so on, and I realized the real Resident Evil 9 reveal was happening right at that moment. I retu𝔍rned my attention to the SGF stream, and there it was, seconds from being over, Resident Evil Requiem. The whiplash was swift and disorienting.

Worst of all, I was made a fool of. Even with seven years of experience covering these sorts of shows, I fell for Capcom's cruel joke hook, 🀅line, and sinker. The only thing I could do was look for solace in the community I knew would most acutely share my pain: Resident Evil Re🍎ddit, and it didn't fail me.

"Bro is a bait specialist," reads one presumably🌱 referri🙈ng to Takeuchi. "Imma not gonna trust this dude anymore ever."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Today's Wholesome Direct presentation was full of wonderful 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming indie games filling Summer Game Fest with cozy vibes, but as a retro connoisseur, my absolute favorite reveal of the show was Mi𒀰lano's Odd Job Collection. This gorgeous PS1 game never made it out of Japan back in the day, but a quarter-century later, that's finally changing thanks, in part, to an excellent fan translation group.

Milano's Odd Job Collection has you play as an 11-year-old girl named Milano, who's of𒆙f on a 40-day summer vacation. You choose how to spend your time each day, but you spend a lot of it working various part-time jobs, which take the form of minigames where you do things like deliver pizzas, or milk cows.

Yes, sure, technically this is a game all about child labor, but look… it's just so darn cute. You'll build up Milano's stats over time, which influences what kind of jobs you can take, and you can spend mone♈y on furniture to decorate your little house. You can also choose to escape the rat race and just spend a day relaxing whenever the mood strikes you, so this isn't𝓀 purely a capitalism simulator.

The original game was known as Milano no Arbeit Collection – Arbeit being a German loanword used in Japan for part-time work – and it was released in 1999 by Westone. If you know Westone's name, it's p🦄robably because of the Wonder Boy series it developed for Sega through the '80s and '90s. The company's background in adorable 2D characters arguably hit its peak with the beautifu🎶l pixel art for Milano.

The game's official English translation is being published by XSEED across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but perhaps the more intriguing name attached to the release is Hilltop. This fan translation group has spent the past few years releasing excellent, but unofficial English patches for a wide range of cult classics and genuine obscurities, ranging from a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:wild Sega rhythm game to a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:lost Mega Man Legends spin-off and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:utterly wonderful ♚Boku no Natsuyasumi 2.

Boku no Natsuyasumi 2 quickly became a personal favorite of mine when I finally got to play it thanks to Hilltop's translation, and I'm beyond thrilled to see their work recogni🧸zed to such a degree that they're now working on official localizations of l♕ost cult classics. Here's hoping Milano is every bit as endearing as it looks.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> 澳洲🗹幸运5开奖号码历史查询:He's not returning for Death Stranding 2, but Mads Mikkelsen's latest video game role sees him play James Bond villain Le Chiffre as a new target for Age👍nt 47 in Hitman: World of Assassination. In a recent Q&A following Hitman studio , Mikkelsen and Agent 47 actor David Bateson discussed the fringe project that first brought them together, ꦐwhich ironically saw Mikkelsen kill Bateson's character.

"Mads and I worked on a small fil👍m together back in [1998, 𒉰99]," Bateson begins.

"94," Mikkelsen replies.

That film is , a short adaptation based on Edgar Lee Master's 1915 poem collection, the Spoon River Anthology. Online rec💦o🧸rds indicate Bateson was right about the release date: 1999. The whole thing is on YouTube here:

"Oh my god. Who am I again?" Bateson continues. "Anyway, you were at ಌdrama school, which is scary. We did this little movie. It was a love triangle. He was having an affair with my wife. The short story is this: it's set in 1895, I go away hunting, he turns up to seduce my wife. She is putting sheets out on the line, and he starts sneaking up and fum꧒bling around with my wife.

"Anyway, he did something – I'm 𒐪watching this scene, he's about 25, 30 feet away from me, I'm standing next to the director, we've got a monitor in front of us and I'm watching it live. He goes and leans against this pole as she's putting these sheets on the washing line, and he's like, waiting for ya, I'll wait. And then he does something that totally rocked my boat. He starts spitting – because he's such a romantic guy. He's looking at her, his arms are folded, and he just [spits]. And he does this a couple of times.

"So I lean across to the director, and I'm going, w🌸ait a minute. That's not very sexy. And I'm looking at him doing it live, and♊ then I look at the monitor, and something was insane. It was brilliant. It was sexy and raw and just, oh, I'm gonna, I'll let you finish and then you're mine. The point is, I leaned across to the director, during the take, and I whispered to him, does Mads know what he's doing? And the director said, 'I don't think so, but don't tell him.' Because it was insanely good."

"It worked on your wife though,🐬" Mikkelsen cuts in.

"I'm rather pleased abo🅘ut that because she's here tonight," Bateson responds. "That was maybe a sign of what was to come. And I've waited 100 years to tell🐭 you this story of the talent I saw that day when he was still studying at drama school. Give it up for Mads."

Mikkelsen says he previously had "no idea" that Bateson played Agent 47: "I walked into the room today and the guys were pitching me the game and I was watching it, and all of the sudden, the hitman comes in and I'm like, wait a second🦩, is that David? So yeah, it was my very first thing I ever did, and I got to shag his wife and kill him, so let's see what happens in this game."

"Yeah, you killed me," Bateson says. "Asshole."

007 First Light is "a distinct and separate universe," says IO Interactive, despite Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre coming to Hitman.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Following the arrival of Sony's hotly anticipated 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PlayStation State of Play showcase earlier this week and the first look it provided of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fan🍬tasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, OG director Yasumi Matsuno has fina𝓡lly addressed a fan-edited quote that's been🌜 fooling us all for years.

"If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class." It's a line many F💯inal Fantasy Tactics fans know well, but there's a catch to it – it never actually appears in the 1997 RPG from Square Enix. Aftermath explored into believing it truly originated from the game in 2023, only to later present in Final Fantasy Tactics – the very one turned into a meme by .

"What purpose do laws serve when even those who would enforce them choose not to pay them heed?" That's the real in-game line, but according to Final Fantasy Tactics director Yasumi Matsuno, the one more commonly shared isn't exactly unrealistic, either. "I found the line that became an internet meme interesting," writes the lead in a new , going on to recite the viral "penalty for a crime" quote k﷽nown so well in the communi▨ty.

"Of course, this line was not written by me, nor is it a line in Final Fantasy Tactics," admits Matsuno. "However, it certainly sounds like something I would have written. It's a shame I didn't know about this funn𒅌y line until today." Replies under the director's post mention just how many folks actually believed the meme's line was real, prompting Matsuno to respond that it might simply be because a majority of players didn't get far in-game.

"Wieꦯgraf is very popular," he jokes. "I am sure it is because many players stop playing at Chapter 1." Elsewhere in the comments, Matsuno addresses a fan's question about politics in Final Fantasy Tactics, saying that while the line and themes surrounding it can be perceived as political, the RPG's primary purpose is to entertain its players: "It's entertainment, so whether or not it's political, the important thing is whether or not it's entertaining."

There's no telling what the line will look like in The Ivalice Chronicles come the remake's big release on September 30 this year, but one thing's for certain – there are likely bound to be plenty of new memes made by fans to enjoy and speculate about post-launch.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007 First Light isn't the only James Bond-related project IO Interactive had been keeping under wraps, as the studio has also brought Mads Mikkelsen's iconic Casino Royale villai☂n Le Chiffre in for Hitman's latest Elusive Target. Just don't expect this to be the start of a larger connected universe bringing the two franchises together.

"What you saw from First Light, it's a completely original Bond and a completely original 𝓀universe," senior Hitman level designer Martin Ansdal t🗹ells me in a Summer Game Fest interview. "I think they want, really, to design a Bond for video games, and that has to be a distinct and separate universe. So there's no plans for crossover."

Since Le Chiffre is a character pulled from the Daniel Craig movie universe, he "would not have been able to exist" in the same world as new game 007 First Light, Ansdal continue🌼s🦩, "because that creates confusion about what universe it is."

As IO sees it, "you can have 🐬Mads Mikkelsen as a guest star in the World of Assassination, but🍰 it's important to state that does not imply a larger, shared thing."

Regardless, Le Chiffre's appearance in Hitman has given the team room to create something "more ambitious" than previous Elusive Targets, and Ansdal says that's important forꦐ the studio, the Hitman brand, and himself as a designer.

"When I go to wor🎃k, I don't try to make 'content.' I try to do something special, like something that doesn't exist in other games. An experience you couldn't have in any other game. [No] other game will have you dress up as a flamingo and kill Le Chiffre with a banana peel he sl▨ips on. You cannot get that anywhere else."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> During yesterday's澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: Summer Game Fest 2025 showcase, 1047 Games CEO and co-founder Ian Proux 澳洲幸运5꧒开奖号码历史查询:took to the stage to highlight Splitgate 2 and its launch 🔯– but his implications that the FPS would revolutionize the genre seem to have ꦉfallen short.

Proux, donning a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:controversial 🌌"Make FPS Great Again" cap, explained that the reasons he made Splitgate 2 are simple: "Because I grew up playing Halo, and I'm tired of playing the same Call of Duty every year, and I wish we could have Titanfall 3." The lead then a response ⭕to those uncomfortable with his on-stage message and presence, exclaiming that he's "not here to apologize, but I am here to clarify."

The CEO then took another shot at the FPS genre, explaining how 1047 Games hopes Splitgate 2 can "fix" its problems: "The state of multiplayer FPS games is tragically stale. We hope to fix that, whether you want Arena, Battle Royale, Onslaught, or Map Creator." Now that fans have had a chance to explore the developer's new shooter, and its apparently very expensive microtrans🅠actions, it's safe to say they're not at all content.

"You threw shade at Call of Duty on stage but copied Warzone's mechanics for your battle royale and dropped❀ an $80 bundle in Splitgate 2," comments one player under the dev's post regarding "the state of multiplayer FPS games." The official Splitgate 2 account then responds: "We understand your criticism. This pack features our most unique skins with complex animations and artwork. We have a va🌟riety of cheaper options."

The dev continues, bringing up how "the game is free to play, and you don't need to buy anything to enj🍸oy it to its fullest," and "nothing is pay-to-win and never will be." 1047 Games doubles down on this sentiment in a further reply, once again stating that microtransa🌄ctions in Splitgate 2 are strictly optional, despite acknowledging the controversy surrounding them: "Monetization is always controversial, but it's also optional."

Understandably, however, fans aren't exactly happy with this way of thin൲king. The page for Splitgate 2 highlights as much, as current reviews only add up to a "Mixed" rating overall. "Less interesting version of Apex Legends," reads one negative review. Countless others criticize Proux directly, with a player noting how he found fault in Call of Duty but "proceeded to release the most generic battle royale MTX farm ever."

There's no telling what the future looks like for Splitgate 2 just yet, though – but for now, the community doesn't sound too thrilled with 1047 Games' approach to the shooter and its "three currencies, battle pass, and $34 portal skin that makes your portal white," as one player calls out in a online: "Crazy too that a game marketing itself as the best FPS since old Halo games does everything it ripped from those games but worse."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> With the release of Deltarune's latest chapters this past week – chapters💙 three and four finally joining the fold – everyone and their mother appears to be playing Toby Fox's popular RPG. That includes streamers, of course, and it seems that those who use YouTube as their platform of choice are running into a problem that Fox himself has now ha🍒d to address: copyright strikes.

YouTube's copyright strikes are an ongoing issue, as the Google-owned platform has an automated system that is ext💖remely hard to dispute once it's made its verdict. Fox is still encouraging streamers to fight the good fight, however, as the music in his beloved game is free to use.

According to Fox, "the music has so many streams it hit a threshold for 👍increased copyright strike aggression. Not kidding."

He pleads with YouTube streamers, "PLEASE dispute these claims and they should be resolved." Fox isn't the first indie dev to find his internationally acclaimed game to unfairly affect streamers b🍸ecause of its sick in-game mu🌺sic.

Back in 2020, not long after Stardew Val🌠ley's 1.5 update, developer Eric Barone – known for his moniker "ConcernedApe" – that any copyright claims made due to the streaming of his game should be brought up to him, as he is the sole owner to the rights of his farming game's music.

"If you're aware of anyone ever getting 'flagged' for using Stardew music please let me know" was Barone's own plea🌊 to players♏ back then, particularly pertaining to Twitch streamers at the time.

The fact that Barone requested players to report these flags to himself is something Fox may want to consider, as the appeals process on YouTube can feel like talking to a brick wall. According to of their copyright claims process, more than a billion content ID claims have been made by their automated detection system between July 2023 and December 2023 – slightly dated information, but you get the gist – and less than 1% of those claims have been ⛎disputed.

Well, yes. That's how math works; provide a number as big as "more than one billion" and you're most likely going to end up with juxtaposing percentage𒀰 in the single digits range. Rounding with 1%, that gets you 10 million people disputing those claims – the population size of several major cities. Not exactly something to pat yourself on the back for.

Now that I've done actual math for this, I think it's safe to say that the only thing that's going to help🅷 out the hundreds, if not thousands, of YouTube streamers getting slapped with copyright claims for both Undertale and Deltarune, is Toby Fox himself publicly calling it out. YouTube doesn't want to make cool guy Toby Fox mad; that's just a bad look.

"I wish there was some waඣy to not ha꧃ve these claims," Fox says. "However, YouTube's music system forces their existence. And if I try to remove my rights to the music from the system, bad actors will pretend that they own it to claim videos and make money."

So, for any YouTube streamers out ther🍒e, if you're in line for a copyright claim appeal, STAY IN ♊LINE.

After breaking Steam, Deltarune dev Toby Fox appears to aim to break the internet: "After you finish Chapter 4, make sure to load up your save file one more time afterwards"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Patapon's unique cocktail of rhythmic strategy has been missing for far too long, but a spiritual successor ma🌃de by Patapon veterans finally has an early access release date.

For those unaware, developers who worked on the cult classic PSP series jumped to a few years ago anꦺd managed to raise a whopping $1.5 million (219,314,🅺335 yen) to fund a roguelike successor called Ratatan. It still has a gorgeous style and combat that has you syncing up commands with the beat, but this time, the cutesy little soldiers will chant rat-ta-ta-tan as they march into battle.

At the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 adjacent Day of the Devs showcase, developer Ratata Arts gave us another adorable loo♊k at the game alongside an incoming early access release for folks on PC: July 25. But if you simply can't wait to get your hands on the roguelike spin, then there's also a free available now, featuring two toe-tapping worlds, online co-op, and four ratatans.

The full game was originally planned for release on April ♎2025 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, a🐎nd the Nintendo Switch, but it now just has a nebulous '2025' window. Either way, Ratatan's inbound early access launch is a promising sign that the full game isn't too far behind.

"Feel the beat and use rhythm sequences in time to order your Cobuns in the direction you want them to go," the game's storefront description explains. "Since the Ratatans can b🅺e moved freely, your judgement to decide where to give orders, where to position the ratatan, and when to retreat is critical."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Summer Games Fest unveiled Ryu Ga Gota✨ku (RGG) Studio's new game, Stranger Than Heaven, informally kn💛own as Project Century, with a shiny gameplay trailer. Alongside details about the setting, gameplay, and the enigmatic gruff figure at the center of the narrative, we've finally got the official title, and it looks glorious.

The new game was first revealed in December 2024 at The Game Awards. We've also already seen an initial trailer, showcasing a combat-focused detective tale set in 1915 that looked set to rival some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best action games of all time. But this fresh teaser shown during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Games Fest 2025 Live took us to a m๊uch liveꦏlier 1943, indicating we’ll get to hop around the early 1900s when we eventually get our hands on it.

Bloody combat, rough territory, and oppressive environments seem to be the bread and butter here. So if fisticuffs, mystery, and Molotov cocktails call to you, don’t go anywhere. From its alt-history, story tone, and development milestones, here’sꦺ what we know about the elusive Stranger Than Heaven so far.

Stranger Than Heaven release date speculation

There is no Stranger Than Heaven release date or window yet.

While there was some hope that a vague indicator might have come after the Summer Games Fest trailers, Yakuza creator RGG didn't provide any hints. This means there's still likely much more work to 𒁏be done on the neon-soaked, action-heavy title. So, don't expect to see the neo-noir fighting game, which will be published by SEGA, before 2026.

Stranger Than Heaven platforms

SEGA and RGG🦹 have🌊 not confirmed which platforms this noir-soaked game will be available on.

If the Yakuza games are any indication of the plans for this new action-adventure, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC are expected. There are no expectations for a Ninte▨ndo Switch 2 release at this point, especially given the graphical heft seen in the teaser trailer. We'll keep you posted as more details head our way!

Stranger Than Heaven trailers

The first look at Project Century, as it was dubbed at the time, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:was part of The Game Awards 2024. The announcement trailer was comprised of pre💮-alpha footage, meaning the game was in very early stages of de🅰velopment.

Nonetheless, the rain-soaked visage of 1915 Japan in the premiere trailer had a great hook. And with this being the only trailer that takes place in the 1910s, it's fair to sꦡay 'Project Century' was a nod at the amount of time the game may cover.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Summer Games Fest 2025 trailer was much more in-depth, though still holding cards to its chest. This title announcement footage showed more melee combat on bustling streets, a different decade for the setting, and hinted at the game's protagonist. The PEGI-18 warn♓ing at the beginning also lets us know that the graphic combat and grit of Yakuza are not missing from Stranger Than Heaven.

Stranger Than Heaven story and setting

A close-up of Mako Daito during the trailer for Stranger Than Heaven.

There are two confirmed settings: 1915 Japan and a glittering metropolis in 1943. The latter is much more colourful and busy, while the♊ former is bleak-looking and more streamlined. The initial trailer featured a detective wanderin༒g around a glib city, and the later footage has drawn comparisons to L.A. Noire — for good reason.

While story🤪 details remain unclear, the Summer Games Fest trailer introduces us (well, sort of) to Mako Daito, a moody detective solving a mystery. Meanwhile, the neon city's inhabitants' hedonism and rowdiness create hurdles. The Yakuza-style drama is ever present,𒐪 with Mako meeting up with a mysterious American.

During the rendezvous, Mako speaks Japanese. This prompts his cohort to ask him, "What are you, then?" Mako responds, "I've been asking m𒅌yself the same thing." This leads us to believe that this will be an introspective adventure from a character perspective, perhaps with the player figuring out and impacting what kind of manꦓ Mako is. While there are loads of questions still to be answered, it at least seems Mako is the protagonist.

RGG has chosen to withhold the ins and outs of the story for now, showing off the incredibly fun-looking combat instead. As of right now, we don't know what clues Mako is chasing or what his end-game motivation is. That's a good thing, according to studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama. During a December 26, 2024, , he confirmed Project Century is within the action-adventure genre but added, "We didn't include any information that would enable people to guess" from 🧸the trailer.

The split decades in the trailers and the in-work title Project Century could mean a couple of things. The game may take place across multiple d🐻ecades across a period of a ceꦐntury, or it could be flashback-heavy.

Stranger Than Heaven gameplay

Two men in the rain about to fight during the trailer for Stranger Than Heaven.

Stranger Than Heaven is a third-person action game where the player explores sketchy allies and crowded city streets, running into fists around every corner. The gameplay seen in the title reveal footage showed weighty, grounded combat with in🌺teractive environments.

It's n🍒ot just fist fighting, either. Molotov cocktails, guns, and in-world advantages are all at the characters' disposal. Want to throw a guy off a ledge? You're in luck! However, there's a real emphasis on good ol🍨d boxing here, so if you enjoy minimal weapons in combat, this will be a lot of fun.

Additionally, at the 1:21 timestamp, there's a moment where the player-character holds a threatening fist in the air as he stands above a masked opponent. Two options appear on the screen in this brief reprieve: "Show him mercy," or✃ "Show him no mercy." Now, that's something Yakuza games never had. So, it looks like some morality-testing choices will be sprinkled in with the heavy volume of fighting. There are also some survival game and simulation elements, 𝄹such as hunger and thirst meters.

Can I pre-order Stranger Than Heaven?

A man waving during a sunny day in Japan during the trailer for Stranger Than Heaven

You can't pre-order Stranger Than Heaven. Given the game is still in development and no plဣatforms have been released, ther♐e are no pre-order options available, and there likely won't be until more publishing details have been announced.

On the upside, that means there is plenty of time to catch up on your backlog. Why not check out the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best open-world games or the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Yakuza games to fill the time? <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Project 007 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:has a shiny new title: ꦉ007 First Light, and a 2026 release window. Plus, IO Interactive has shown off plenty of gameplay, even if that's through very qui🃏ck snippets. It's still enough to give us a much stronger sense of what this Bond origin story actually is, and where the Hitman developer seems to be taking it.

IO Interactive has also revealed that they will be hosting a more in-depth showcase during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 schedule, where we'll learn even more about 007 First Light. The story is set outside of established canon, dialling back the clock to show the MI6 agent in, well, a different light compared to the movies and books. Here, it centers on a young, fresh-faced James Bond out of the Navy as he attempts to prove himself to the agency as a 00 candidate. All while dealing with an agent gone rogue, and getting to grips with an arsenal of spy gadgets and very luxurious vintage cars. The gameplay we've seen so far looks incredible, and we're excited that the studio behind some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best stealth games of all time is ꩲhav📖ing a go at our favorite super spy.

James Bond is an institution for a reason, too (check out any one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Bond movies for a reminder of why). It's an exciting combination. Even with 007 First Light potentially a year or more away, we'🍌re here to let you know everything there is to know about the exciting new James Bond adventure. Prepare to sip a martini (shaken, obviously), and take in all the latest Project 007 news and updates.

What is 007 First Light?

Bond saying the classic

Project 007 (now called 007 First Light) will be a brand new stealth-action game from the genre masters at IO Interactive – the studio behind the beloved Hitman franchise.

We should keep in mind that "Project 007" was always the working🌊 title for this new Bond game. But while the title has now changed, we know that the game's DNA likely won't. has described the upcoming games as "Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes✨ of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story." It includes the developer's talents for stealth shown in Hitman, of course, but dials up the action as well to deliver a classic rip-roaring Bond adventure.

007 First Light release date speculation

007 First Light's release date was recently revealed to be sometime in 2026, meaning we won't be waiting as long as we first feared. Or, like Bond earning his '00' status, it won't be long until the start of 007 First Light, but that first release date is just the start of the adven🎃ture.

"This is just the beginning of our journey with 007," Hakan Abrak, CEO & co-owner of IO Interactive confirmed during th🌼e announcement. It fits with what we've seen from the studio before, as the live tail on Hitman 3 and Hitman: World of Assassination was incredibly important for that game. It seems we may see more like this from 007 First Light. The good news is, it won't be long at all until we can earn the numerals for ourselves.

007 First Light platforms

007 First Light looks set to arrive on all major platforms, with confirmation it'll be arriving on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC across both Steam and Epic.

Those with an IOI account will also be able to unlock a bonus outfit and weapon sཧkin too, so consider signing up if you haven't already for Hitman.

007 First Light trailer

The proper reveal at the PlayStation State of Play gives us a nice introduction to 007 First Light's story and its gameplay, but leaves us hungry for more. Beginning with an introduction to Ja🔯mes Bond's background as an orphan and how he came to be recruited to the 00 programme where he must earn his codename, it then shows him on a globetrotting adventure across numerous locations. Mixing together quiet and loud moments, there's sneaky stealth through guarded locations, and thrilling set pieces.

007 First Light story and setting

James Bond in an all-black get-up talking to a lady who's just off-screen while at a fancy event in 007: First Light

IO Interactive's take on James Bond distances itself from the movies in one key way – it's an origin story for the super spy centering on a young Bond.

The story itself sees him earning his stripes, or, well, numbers. Orphaned when his parents save his life in a mountain climbing accident when he wa🏅s 11, he managed to persevere to survive the climb down. Throughout multiple boarding schools a🍎nd the Navy he always butted heads with authority, yet his superiors "praised his instincts". Sound familiar?

When s♊omething happens in Iceland during his Navy career, it puts him on the radar for MI6, though his superiors there don't know whether they should take a risk on him or not. He's given the chance, however, meaning he'll be on a mission to prove himself as part of the 00 programme. He's a young Bond here, but make no mistake, he's not a child like in those spin-off novels that are actually called 'Young Bond'. He's just a fresh-faced spy ready for some action.

009 is described as a "master manipulator" in the trailer, so the plot may revolve around a rogue agent, perhaps nodding towards the role of 006 in GoldenEye. Other than that, we've seen that Bond will travel to many colorful locations, similar to IO Interactive's Hitman series, and will encounter many similar beats to most Bond movies, including a super villain trap above a bunch of crocod♛iles.

007 First Light gameplay

We've only received a glimpse of 007 First Light gameplay from IO Interactive, via a truly thrilling introductory trailer at the recent 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PlayStation State of Play. The easy answer to what you'll be doing in 007 First Light from a gamౠeplay perspective is just about anyth🌠ing you can imagine Bond doing in a movie.

This version of James Bond may be young, as the story sees him earning his iconꦿic numerals, but he still has all the spy tricks you've come to know from the movies. There's gunplay, hand-to-hand combat, and gadgets aplenty. Expect oodles of stealth too considering the developers made Hitman after all, with Bond able to sneak through dangerous areas and use some kind of spy scanner, pickpocket guards, and take them out quietly.

Another sequence has him on a cat-and-mouse hunt through a nightclub that visually feels very Hitman 3. And yes, there will be car chases, and at least one cutscenes shows the young Bond dangling above some deadly crocs. Ah, villains. Emphasis is being placed on the options for players to go in loud or quiet as🥃 they please.

The studio's CEO, Hakan Abran, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:says that IO is building "the ultimate spycraft fantasy." It's expected that Project 007 will build on the incredible work the studio has done around its Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy, with chief development officer Veronique Lallier telling GamesRadar+ that working on James Bond is "so🅺 close to our DNA that it just feels seamless."

We know that IO is drawing in a lot of industry talent to get this new James Bond game off the ground, including a The Divis♋ion and Avatar: Fronti𓄧ers of Pandora lead to help "design the most amazing Bond missions." 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Lallier adds: "If you look at what we've ꧒done in the past with Hitman, 007 feels organic. For us because we've done, you know, stories about agents doing things. So that makes complete sense. That just feels like, this is normal and natural, you know, it's part of our DNA to create an amazing story about action."

Which Bond are we playing as in 007 First Light?

The bonus skin offer in 007: First Light

No, this young version of James Bond isn't based on an actual actor who has portrayed 007 on screen.

CEO and co-owner of developer IO Interactive, Hakan Abrak, spoke with about their unique take on the Bond we'll be playing as in 007 First Light. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Inste♒ad of being based on🌺 any of the actors who have played the role through the years, Abrak revealed the team has instead made their own "digital Bond": "we have been allowed to make our own digital Bond, which will not ♑lean on a Bond actor."

In an interview with back in April, Abrak also revealed that Project 007 will 澳洲幸运5ꦓ开奖号码历史查询:draw inspir💯ation from the entire Bond franchise to deliver an original story: "Every Bond kind of defines a generation and it's amazing how they keep reinventing themselves over so many years. So, we're not only inspired by one movie, or games and whatnot. We're inspired by the whole thing, and just sucking things i꧋nto us to make an original Bond, an original story, but that is absolutely true and recognizable in the values there is in Bond."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007: First Light devs chose an origin story in part because it allowed for a "more relatable" Bond for the 🎃potentially "younger audience" than might turn out for the films.

Speaking to GamesRadar+ at Summer Game Fest, 007 franchise director Jo♓nathan Lacaille said that developer IO Interactive found the chance to set a story in a period of Bond's life that's "not been covered much," to be "the exciting part" of the project.

"We have a story to tell that people are probably very curious to find out," he says. "What a🍃re the events and the people that shaped the character [James Bond] is today? Was heౠ always the womanizer that he is, or the strong man that he is?"

First Light, which sees James Bond operating before he's earned his iconic '00' status, features the character long before he becomes the "established legend" that we know him as. That means, Lacaille says, t𝄹hat "there's a lot of youth in him, so maybe some reckles♕sness at times. And he has a lot of charm, but he doesn't know how to use it yet. He's maybe not as efficient as a [later] Bond would be."

That decision, however, is by design. Lacaille says that a clumsier Bond might be a more relatable Bond, particularly for a gamin♔g audience that is "a younger audience, maybe, than the Bond franchise is used to." That piece of demographic profiling is a big part of why IO chose an origin story - "it's a new story to tell, and also a story that would connect really well."

That does come with its downsides. There's a lot of creative freedom attached to telling a whole new story, "but at the same time, you have a lot of creative freedom so you have to come up with everything." Lacaille reasserts that First Light "is not an adaptation or anything [...] but that's what will allow us to make a great game, because then we have a lot ♉of freedom that will fit with the gameplay mechanics."

All that freedom, he says, has also come with the benefit of being able to make the game relatively fast. Now scheduled for a release next year after a lengthy period of near silence, it seems that IO is moving faster than I, at least, had anticipated. Lacaille, however, says that the game is "well-advanced since we've announced it," and "feels fantastic," which suggests that thꦺe team has been very busy behind the scenes.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil 9 (officially Resident Evil Requiem) was finally revealed to the world at last night's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest show, but Capcom seemingly first teased the horror blockbuster eight years and two Resident Evils ago. (And, also, for in a hilarious bait-and-swi♚tch.)

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:After Requiem's bone-chil🍎ling first trailer, fans started posting their wildest theories online and some even spotted a note you can find in Resident Evil 7 Biohazar🅠d that looks like it ties into the upcoming entry.

It's a document written by Alyssa Ashcroft, an investigative journalist from the oft-forgotten Resident Evil Outbreak, that's talking about a missing persons ca𓂃se and an investigation that's ramping up to solve it.

Of course, Requiem's announcement trailer heav🎉ily features Alyssa's daughter and FBI agent Grace Ashcroft as she's hard at work looking into victims of an unidentified disease. We later see multiple fading missing person posters barely hanging onto a wall - ring any bells? - some really spooky shots of what I assume is The Runwood Hotel, and then poor Raccoon City, all ruined after the eve꧋nts of Resident Evil 1 and 2.

Was Alyssa digging into the same mystery that Grace is now? Was her murder at the Runwood Hotel linked to any of this? Is that same missing persons case still ongoing? The trailer mentio🌸ns she died eight years ago, meaning RE9 can't take place earlier than 2024-2025 since her note was written in 2016, so how do the other games in the series connect?

There's lots to think about, but we don't need to wait f𝐆or much longer. Resident Evil 9 comes out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 27, 🀅2026.

Keep up with our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest schedule.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> A Splitgate 2 developer who has gone viral following a Summer Game Fest appearance says he's "not here toౠ apologize" over his unpopular messaging, because he was not making "a political statement."

Ian Proulx, CEO of developer 1047 Games, ꧙took to the SGF stage last night wearing a black 'Make FPS Games Great Again' hat in a clear riff on the traditionally red hats worn by supporters of current US president Donald Trump. It was a move that - Splitgate 2 looks pretty good and had plenty of good buzz around it, but Proulx made himself arguably the biggest villain of last night's show with his stunt.

In response to a pretty rapid outpourin꧅g of bad feelings on social media, Proulx took to after the event, not to apologize, but to "clarify" the message behind the hat. "This is not a political statement," he says. "It is quite literally what it says, so take it at face value."

"The state of multiplayer FPS games is tragically stale," he continues. Last night, he said that he was ꩲmaking Splitgate 2 because he's "tired of꧒ playing the same Call of Duty every year," and wants to channel the experience he had playing Halo when he was younger. He claimed his new game is "f***ing awesome, and says that he "hopes 🍬to fix" that stale feeling, but give𓂃n the Mixed Steam reviews that Splitgate 2 has launched to, I think that might not be quite what he's managed.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The developer of ♋adorable management game Minami Lane recently released an equally adorable bug collect-a-thon that's gathered flawless reviews, literally.

You might already recognize the name - it was a pretty big hit last year on account of🌊 its warm art style, condensed management, and cozy vibes set on a single, miniature street. Co-developers 'Doot' and 'Zakku' on Steam put out their follow-up project, Kabuto Park, last month and the response has been just as strong.

"This is completely insane," Doot tweeted last week alongside a screenshot of the game's 590 reviews, 100% of which were p🙈ositive. "I didn't even think that was possible? OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE with 100% POSITIVE REVI🅠EWS?!"

I've personally never seen a game with 100% positive reviews on the platform because, well, you know, it's hard to please every single person. Taste is subjective. Heck, at the time of writing, those perfect re✃views fell ever so slightly: Kabuto Park now has well over 1,000 reviews and 99% of them give it the thumbs up. The game being able to gather 100% Overwhelmingly Positive is sort of an unbelievable feat in the first place.

"With Kabuto Park, I wanted to do something quite personal," Doot continued. "Every game you make is like🐲 putting a part of yourself out there, it's terrifying but so rewarding♌ when people react as you do. I cried several time since release and feel like I'm about to do it again rn."

"Catch the cutest bugs, train them and win the Summer Beetle Battles Championship in this tiny bug collection game," the blurb explains. "Upgrade your equipment to find rarer, stronger and sh𝕴inier little friends." It's essentially Pokemon as a cute side-scroller, but this time you're making bugs fight, which I won't question the ethics of here.

For now, check out some other 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming indie games of 2025 and beyond.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Day of the Devs SGF Edition 2025 sure did blow my socks off this year. Showcasing a host of exciting upcoming indi🧔e games from talented developers, we got six new shiny world premiere reveals and a closer look at some previously announced gems that had me reaching out with impatient grabby hands. In fact, some of them have got me so hyped that I simply ൲cannot stop myself from screaming about them right here.

From an exciting new life sim with a horror-esque twist on the classic 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stardew Valley formula, to an incredibly zen looking new atmospheric adventure from the art director of Journey and many more, Day of the Devs brought lots of indie game goodness to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest Schedule for 2025, and once again proved to be one of the highlights of the big announcement season. Let's just say that after this showcase, I've added a lot of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games to my wish♛list, and you should absolutely do the same.

Toem 2

Toem 2 screnshot showing the photographer climbing up little hillsides with goats roaming

(Image credit: Something We Made / Popagenda)

Developer: Something We Made
Platform(s): PC

Toem was easily one of my favorite games of 2021, so I'm naturally over the moon that we're getting a sequel – which made a delightful appearance during the Day of the Devs showcase. Set a few years after the first game, is once again going to ﷺtake us on a photography-filled adventure where we✅ can snap pictures of all sorts of critters and curiosities.

This time around, though, we'll be able to play around with new camera tools that we get from friends we meet and complete questlines for. These tools let us interact with the world in new ways, from using a hammer to smash things, or a scissor to cut our way through obstacles or solve puzzles. Complete with a new moꦫvement system that will let us climb and traverse in fresh ways, it looks every bit as charming as the first game. Put me behind the viewfinder right now.

Snap and Grab

Developer: No Goblin

Platform(s): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

As a huge fan of the pop culture of the era, anything set in the '80s is going to be right up my street, which is why I instantly clicked with the concept behind Snap and Grab. "High fashion glamor and high ticket crime" paints a picture of what's in store in this heist-filled romp, which seꦆes you take on the role of the "world's greatest photographer" who takes snapshots in a variety of settings to try and hone in on valuable items to steal.

Then, you use your trusty camera to capture potential obstacles, before using the photos to map a step-by-step pla🌌n to carry out the perfect crime. As well as looking downright stylish, I love the unique camera-fueled hijinks Snap and Grab promises. I'm ready to rewind the clock and step back into the decade of shoulder pads, neon-colors, and synthesizers to see what I can pinch in early 2026.

Mixtape

Developer: Beethoven and Dinosaur
Platform(s): PC, Xbox Series X/S (Xbox Game Pass), PS5

I absolutely adored the toe-tapping goodness and quirky sci-fi weirdness of Artful Escape (check out our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Artful Escape review for more on that), whi🔥ch is why I'm already jazzed for developer Beethoven and Dinosaurs next game, . With another look at the new coming-of-age adventure that follows three friends who in the words of developer Johnny Galvatron, "spend their last night together listening to a perfectly curated soundtrack", I can see myself falling into its rhythm when it releases sometime this year.

Described as a musical retrospective, we'll explore memories that mash up mechanics, eras, and art styles, the soundtraꦚck is stocked up with a host of rad bands and artists – from the likes of Devo and Joy Division to Smashing Pumpkins, Siou🌊xsie and the Banshees, and Iggy Pop. I'm totally getting my cassette player ready for this one (even if you won't actually need one to play it).

Developer: Giant Squid
Platform(s): PC, PS5

From the art director of Journey and Flower, Matt Nava, and developer Giant Squid – the studio behind Abzu and The Pathless – comes a new atmospheric adventure that's absolutely calling to me. With movement that's inspire🍌d by old snowboarding games and the Tony Hawk series, aims to tap into the meditative flow of surfing as we restore life to a lost ocean on the back🧸 of a Hoversword.

Whether it be gliding over water s♊urfaces, careening off ledges, or sliding across walls, sweeping across the surreal landscapes promises to send me right into a flow-state. Topped off with an art style and vibe that smacks of the studio's signature DNA, and music from Austin Wintory, you better believe I'm going to be on board when its release rolls around on August 1𒀰9, 2025.

I'm not one for horror, which is why my desire to play comes as a personal surprise, but I love the way it riffs on the classic farming sim trope of leaving a dead-end job and escaping to a farm, only to become… indebted as the immortal herald of a dead god? Talk about a dark turn. With time progressing in three blocks - morning, afternooꦺn, and evening - you 🍰can choose when you advance to set your own pace.

From fishing to farming and cooking it looks set to feature all of the ingredients I love to play around with in a life sim that's finished up with helpings of combat, mystery, and spookiness. Plus, you can also form friendships with those you meet and even develop romantic relationships if you wish, and that couldn't speak to me more. As a big fan of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like Stardew Valley, I can't remember the last time I added a new life sim to my wishlist so quickly (with the exception of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Witchbrook).

In the world, it's said that those who die were buried with seeds planted in their brains that then blossom into trees.

The fruit these trees bare contain memories of the dead and pass down traditions from generation to generation. But everything changes when a figure ♔known as Sorcisto eats the raw brains of the deceased and defiles the village you call home. As the lone survivor, it's up to you to fight back and try to reclaim the memories of your pꦅeople. Developer: Coin Crew Games
Platform(s):

Coin Crew Games is back with a sequel to its escape room-shaped adventure in Escape Academy 2. Showing off a reveal trailer during Day of the Devs, the development team also explained that it drew inspiration from the likes of Animal Well and The Legend of Zelda to shape the follow-up. While the first game focused on the escape room puzzles for the most part, Escape Acaꦫdemy 2 drew from player feedback to bring to life a ne📖w experience that plays out like a highschool RPG.

You'll once again be venturing to the academy, but this time, you'll attend classes and get stuck into character-driven questlines. You'll of course still get stuck in rooms and have to puzzle your way out, but you'll be able to explore a lot more. Theಞre's currently no release just yet, but the devs also revealed you can currently sign up to take part in playtests on Coin Crew Games Discord channel.

Please, Watch This Artwork

Developer: Studio Waterzooi

Platform(s): PC

From the developer behind the laid-back puzzle game Please, Touch This Artwork – which saw you recreate abstract paintings – Please, Watch this Artwork is a new experience that has you playing with paintings in a new way. As the name of the game gives away, you'll be watching over real paintings as you take on the night shift at the Museum of Animated Modern Art. Inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper and the feelings of urban isolation and loneliness they evoke, the artworks you watch come alive and it's up to you to report any anomaliesཧ you see.

While it was stressed durin♏g the Day of the Devs showcase that you won't have to worry about any jump-scares, there is a melancholic vibe and it's said that it can make you paranoid as you try to root out any strangeness you see in the paintings. Featuring six themed galleries with 40 paintings and three difficulty settings, the "psychological spot the difference" looks set to offer🔯 up a unique liminal experience.

Pocket Boss is a new short game from developer Langfilm that's all about the "small joys of manipulating data". Taking on the role of someone who handles data for a living, you'll speak with your boss through a chat interface and receive various different requests🥂 as you progress. Using a finger swipe, you'll navigate ar🃏ound the stock market and try to oust competitors.

But things do take a curious turn when, as we saw in the showcase, the charts start to come to life. Said to explore the "secret life of charts", it looks like a creative experience with some puzzle-like elements that will🍸 play around with different types of charts and data. I also love the idea of having a boss in your pocket through the phone-like chat interface. It sounds like a very unique concept, and I'm certainly curious to see where the data tampering will lead us.

Relooted

Within the game, you'll learn about these artifacts and where they are cuꦇrrently in the real-world as you go about trying to "reclaim Africa's heritage". With different missions and lots of characters to meet, the new game from developer Nyamakop looks set to take us on a meaningful journey as we set out trying to bring the African artifacts home.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Splitgate 2 actually looks pretty good, , has some pretty solid momentum behind it. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Borderlands 4, a fellow FPS, also looks pr𒁃etty good, and definitely has momentum behind it. And yet, the men heading🗹 these things simply cannot get out of their own way.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:This week, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:in the weeks before, it was Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford's numerous and enormously unpopular comments on game pricing. Tonight, at the Summer Game Fest live show, it was the painfully avoidable division stirred by 1047 Games cofounder and CEO Ian Proulx, who managed to piledrive Splitgate 2's discourse into the dumpster in a matter of minutes, ꧟ꦆstealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Proulx says he made ꦦhis FPS because he hates Call of Duty, loves Halo, and wants Titanfall 3 – and reckons Splitgate 2's new battle royale mode is "f***ing awesome." We're going to ignore the irony th🍃at Splitgate just dropped a battle royale and that Titanfall 3 doesn't exist in part because EA told Respawn to instead keep operating the battle royale money machine that is Apex Legends, because it's really not the biggest problem tonight.

It's hard to overstate how thoroughly and widely S♒plitgate 2 is getting dunked on after Proulx's SGF appearance. The reaction hasn't been universally neꦫgative, of course; are simply celebrating the surprise update, and . It's not like Splitgate 2 is going to keel over because of this.

But if an Imagine Dragons remix in your battle royale trailer is the last criticism on peoples' minds, you may, peꦰrhaps, have messed up. Across , , and , and both in and out of the game's immediate communities, Splitgate 2 optics are measurably worse than they were about 10 hour💮s ago.

"Hat was cringe as hell," on the Spli𓂃tgate Reddit. "This was just cringe," of the game'sܫ SGF slot.

"If I was a dev and I had spent years working on a game and my boss went on stage and looked like this much of a jackass I'd be soꦺ pissed," .

"I now feel embarrassed for liking this game♐," another Splitgate Reddit post .

"As a Splitgate 1 fan and a founder pa🍰ck owner for Splitgate 2, I can't believe how HORRIBLE of a fumble I just witnessed," . Posts just like this are coming up faster than the mods or auto-mods can delete them for purportedly being low-effort.

And, I mean, if you've lost the dad hat enthusiasts, what else is there🌸 to lose?

Here's everything announced at Summer Game Fest 2025.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> Following the success of cartoon-ish action RPG Nobody Saves the World, Guacamelee developer DrinkBox Studios has announced another action RPG called Blighted. Part of me is sad to see the studio isn't working on another Metroidvania just yet, because its Guacamalee series represents some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Metroidvania games around, but DrinkBox simply cannot miss, and Blighted looks🌳 great so far.

Where Nobody Saves the World had a flatter 2D perspective that fo🍷und 🥃depth primarily through a variety of forms for the main character, Blighted has more of a 3D, Hades kind of vibe to it, just to give you a quick and commonly known point of reference. It's an isometric action game with silky smooth animations and a lot of projectiles flying around, where a "dynamic difficulty system" regularly changes "enemies, the player, and the world around them."

Blighted begins with, you guessed it, a blight. , the devs explain that, in a world where the knowledge of the dead is passed down through seeds of memories, "you are the lone survivor of Sorcisto’s rampage," a tragedy caused by a villainous monster who gorged on the brains of the living, and you'reꦇ "fighting to reclaim the memories of your people, before your own Blight overtakes you."

Sharing knowledge preser꧅ved in the brains of the dead also plays into progression; you can power up by absorbing brains from bosses. This is where my Metroidvania sense starts to tingle, not just because i💫t's DrinkBox, but because these upgrades are capable of "widening your skillset and opening up new paths."

Blighted was listed on Steam just hours ago and immeౠdiately had the Metroidvania tag, and I'm thinking that's not a coincidence. Let's not ignore this line, either: "Pay careful attention while exploring to unlock the many deep secrets of Blighted’s world."

"Combat in Blighted is nuanced and deadly," DrinkBox adds. "Carefully time your attacks to weave through enemies, chain together combos, and perform powerful finishers." Weꦐ get a taste of that in the reveal trailer, which is heavy on scythe swinging and even heavier on parrying attacks with a blue flash.

DrinkBox hasn't put out a single bad game, even in th🍃e pre-Guacamelee days of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, and Blighted is nearly tailor-made to my tastes. It's out in 2026, evidently just on PC for now, and it'll be on my w🐼ishlist until then.

Everything announced at Summer Game Fest 2025.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> During 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025, Like a Dragon developer RGG fully lifted the lid on its mysterious Project Century game,🦩 revealing its official title to be Stranger Than Heaven.

I'm proudly among the contingent of RGG fans that would gladly take another Judgment game over Like a Dragon. Don't get me wrong, I love Nancy the Crawfish as much as the next guy and the mainline Yakuza series' antics are endlessly amusing, but I find them just a little bit bloated – particularly 2024's Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. I also prefer the darker, grittie💯r nature o🅺f the Judgment games' worlds and storytelling.

Maybe that's why I'm so attractedꦕ to Stranger Than Heaven, aside from the fact that it's li෴terally about a detective, although I'd still prefer to see what Takayuki Yagami has been up to since 2021's Lost Judgment.

Anyway, I digress. The new 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stranger Than Heaven tra♐iler doesn't actually reveal a whole lot about the game other than its title, but we once again get to see protagonist Mako Daito roam around a bustling Japanese city busting bad guys in a fashion much more violent than you'd expect from an RGG game.

Whereas 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the first trailer took us back to 1915 Japan, this new one takes plac🎃e in 1943, suggesting theও Project Century codename was more than just a throwaway title.

I'm ꦿr🐽eally into the game's jazzy vibe throughout the trailer. A brassy quintet opens the scene with a sultry number that intensifies with the action scenes, and it really sets the tone for an LA Noire type detective story that I could see myself becoming very, very invested in.

Anyway, this is all to say: Stranger Than Heaven is no Judgment, and maybe that's OK, because what it looks like is a game wearing vaguely similar clothes but with completely d🅷ifferent mechanics, physics, and world desigꦉn that could be an exciting new direction for RGG.

In the meantime, here are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Yakuza games to play right now.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The reveal of Resident Evil Requiem at Summer Game Fest 2025 was a time to be alive. It looks like the ninth mainline Resident Evil game is going to feature Grace Ashcroft, FBI agent and daughter of R๊esident Evil Outbreak's Alyssa, as she embarks on a no doubt terrifying journey to confront her past.

It's been a long time coming. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil Village was released four years ago in 2021, and after a fairly flat announcement that Resident Evil 9 would be coming "soon" last year, fans of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best survival horror game franchise ever had all but lost hope – until 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:we finally got a glimpse of Capcom's chilling next chapter. There are still so many questions to be answered about the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming horror game. How does Grace fit into the story so far? Where on the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil timeline does Requiem take place, given all the snapshots of a decimated Raccoon City shown in the trailer? Most importantly, is t🎉his really the end of t🧸he Winters family saga?

We'll have to wait a♐nd see, but if you're as hyped for Resident Evil 9 as I am, here's everything we know about Requiem so far - including its 2026 release date.

The Resident Evil Requiem release date has been set for February 27, 2026.

The news came as part of the official game reveal at Summer G꧟ame Fest 2025, where Capcom finally gave us a first look at Grace Ashcroft's journey. There's no sign of pre-orders yet either, but check back soon as we keep learning more about the mysterious new Resi game.

According to the official Capcom website, Resident Evil Requiem will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms in February 2026.

I൲t's a bummer for anyone still rocking a past-gen console, but I can't lie - it's looking pretty special🥃 in the RE Engine, and all that juicy raytracing will likely make all the difference in a horror franchise like this.

Resident Evil Requiem trailer

The first Resident Evil Requie꧂m trailer shown at Summer Game Fest introduces us to Grace Ashcroft, the assumed daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak File 1 and 2 protagonist Alyssa Ashcroft. She appears to be working as an FBI agent in the wake of a virus outbreak that is sweeping the continent - which should have every Resi fan's skin tingling - as she's urged to face her past.

A series of flashback💞 stills play out as Grace struggles to compose herself, interspersed with shots of a decimated Raccoon City following the events of Resi𒁏dent Evil 2 and 3, before she suddenly finds herself strapped to a gurney and screaming for help. The story is still nebulous at best, judging from this trailer, but it's the perfect way to whet our appetites for "a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core" according to the .

Resident Evil Requiem story and setting

Resident Evil Requiem trailer screenshot of Raccoon City Police Department, destroyed following the events of Resident Evil 2

It looks like Resident Evil Requiem is bringing us 💮back to the series roots: the Raccoon City disaster. Grace Ashcroft is our protagonist, the daughter (or 𓆉other relation, presumedly) of Alyssa Ashcroft from the Resident Evil Outbreak games on PS2. It seems she will have to delve back into her own dark past to confront personal demons, though what the gameplay itself might look like is yet to be seen.

We don't know much about the story just yet, save that Grace certainly has a lot of trauma to unpack. Paired with Capcom's dedication to technological advancements, we're told to expect "a story with rich characters and gameplay that's more immersive than ever before." Some eagle-eyed fans have managed to spot 澳洲🔯幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Requie💞m references in Resident Evil 7, so whatever's coming our way on February 27, RE9 has clearly been thought out for a long time no💖w𓄧.

Can I pre-order Resident Evil Requiem?

Sadly, pre-orders for the new Resident Evil game are not available just yet. With the game only recently announced, expect to wait quite some tim💛e for the opportunity.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> The Borderlandsꩲ series has been suffering a massive, series-wide review-bomb for nearly three weeks now, and developer Gearbox has finally addressed it.

Over the past 19 days, beginning on May 19, the entire Borderlandꦕs series has𒀰 been blasted on Steam. According to its recent reviews, the most popular game in the series is Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, with 29% positive reviews. That lack of popularity runs through every numbered entry, down to 2014's Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which has just 9% positive reviews.

The culprit is the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new Borderlands user agreement, which players quickly blasted as 'spyware' for reports that it granted high-level access to your machine under the guise of anti-cheat software. Some members of the community have stood up to suggest that that's not really the case, and that Gearbox and its publisher and parent company have all been quite chill about modding and the like, but it's not don🍌e much to improve the review scores.

Now, 19 days after the first drops of that review-bomb downpour started to fall, Gearbox has issued its response. In a , it said that "we know there have been some concerns from Borderlands fans 💞about Take-Two's Terms of Service." Desiring to addr🌼ess some of those concerns, Gearbox kicked off with the eminently reassuring "Take-Two does not use spyware."

It says it asks for permission to collect some data, but that doesn't mean it's actually doing it on every game or service. Where it does collect, Take-Two is trying to "personalize 🅺the user experience," not take a digital peek at its players.

Secondly, the company addresses anti-cheat concerns, saying that what it actually wants to ban are "mods that allow users to gain an unfair advantage," to "protect the integrity of the game experience." Generally, it argues, Take-Two "does not seek to take action again🐓st mods th♔at are single-player only, non-commercial, and respect the IP rights of its labels."

Whether that does enough to assuage the fears of players, I'm not convinced. Somehow I doubt it, especially since Gearbox snuck this whole thing out while all eyes were elsewhere thanks to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest. Given that it's also tried dropping steep discounts and full givea♒ways on some of these games, however, clearly it knows it needs to do something a little different. But even if that does work, it's still got to compete against the Twitter account of Borderlands boss Randy Pitchford, which is probably doing about as much damage ♎as the EULA.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Pc-gaming ]]> While there's still no 澳洲幸运5开奖号码𝄹历史查询:release date for Gears of War: E-Day, series creator Cliff Bleszinski has decided now 𓃲is the time to just let it all hang loose and reveal he kinꦯd of winged it with some of that Locust and Riftworm stuff. , Bleszinski shared that a major showdown in Gears of War 3 kind of... makes no sense.

In G✨ears of War, the Locust Horde are mutated humanoids, the result of genetic experiments, and develop their own governing society. This also included a religion known as the Trinity of Worms which worshipped the Riftworms, giant, 10-mile-long worms which created the Hollow, where the Locust reside. Despite the rich lore surrounding the Riftworms and their relation to the Locust, it turns out some stuff was left blank.

During Gears of War 3, one Locust known a🤪s Ketor Skorge, awoke a Riftworm to be used as a weapon of mass destruction in their war against the humans. There's just a tiny detail missing from the fact that Skorge was able to command the Riftworm at will: Bleszinski has no idea how he did it.

According to his tweet, Bleszinski has no explanation for how the Locust "got contro🌸l of the Riftworm in the first place, and two: how they guided it to their desired targ♍et."

While sharing his retrospection, Bleszinski defends his lack of explanation with a simple idea that some gamers can get behind, while others will demand answers for: "Sometimes ya just put stuff i🍌n a game you think is cool. You don't have to fully explain everything; let 'em wonder."

The only issue now is that regardless of how much Gears of War fans "wonder," they'll know in their heart o💦f hearts that even the creator doesn't ha♕ve a clue.
