At the time of writing, only 24% of Flight Simulator 2024's reviews are positive, giving it a 'Mostly Negative' rating. This follows a launch where many players were grounded, stuck watching lengthy initial loading screens instead of taking to the skies. , pointing to the large amount of server requests caused by the number of players all initializing the simulator at the same time, but that wasn't where the problems ended. Reviews on Steam criticize it for being and , questionable performance, a user interface that would have been acceptable had it been 2012 and not 2024," amongst other compla💦ints.
Needless to say, players aren't generally having a fantastic time, but at least the game's rating has risen slightly from what it once was. As , it temporarily dipped to a 16.85% positive r﷽ating, which comes in significantly below Overwatch 2's all-time rating of 21% and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's 20%. Those aren't the absolute worst-rated games on the storefront right now – according to third-party site , that title goes to War of the Three Kingdoms with an overall rating of 9% – but it's still far from a good start for the new Flight Simulator game. It also briefly went toe to toe with EA's 2010 real-time strategy game Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, which still holds onto an overall rating of .
Even though facing a launch like this is far from ideal, hopefully developer Asobo Studio will be able to improve the situation over time. After all, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is still rated very positively on the platform – perhaps because fans were so eager to dive into the new installment that i🐈ts current issues feel even more o🔯bvious.

Microsoft Flight Simulator's Top Gun: Maverick DLC has been delayed to 2022.
]]>As by Asobo, developer behind Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Top Gun: Maverick DLC for the sim will now launch next year on May 27, 2022. The DLC has actually been delayed to match the new release date for the movie sequel, which was just 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:recently delayed o✃ut of launchꦬing later this year in 2021.
As for what the Top Gun DLC is going to contain, it's slated to include 💟fighter jets from the upcoming sequel. Asobo first unveiled the free DLC expansion for their game earlier this year at E3 2021 in June, and through the reveal trailer we glimpsed that Tom Cruise's very own jet would be joining the flight simulator. It also looks like we'll be able to jet 🦋off from special aircraft carriers when the update arrives.
It's been a long road for the Top Gun sequel. Originally slated to launch all the way back in December 2020, Maverick was subsequently 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:delayed to July 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before being 澳洲幸运5开奖🅘号码历史查询:delayed a second time to November 2021. ]]>As spotted by , modd💖er pulled a total of seven Mario Kart 8 tracks from and, with the help of a , made them appear in the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Before you get too excited, the Microsoft Flight Simulator Mario Kart mod isn't available for public download, and it may never be. But it is entertaining as hell to watch someone fly a true-to-life airplane through these goofy Mario Kart tracks like Mount Wario, Illogicoma's all-time favorite, and Moo Moo Meadows, the one with the cows that purposefully get in your way, the big jerks.
It's worth noting that this clever Flight Simulator mod doesn't actually work like a Mario Kart game; you can't win races since there's no one else around, and you can fly right through objects because the collision plug-in was being 😼fussy. It's basically just a slowed-down visual tour of some of Mario Kart 8's most popular levels surrounded by Microsoft Flight Simulator's re♉al-world backdrop, just because.
"So anyway I thought Mario Kart 8 tracks would also be fun when you play them in Flight Simulator so I put Mario Kart 8 tracks in Flight Simulator and played them and it was true," Illogicoma explaine💯d on .

]]>First announced earlier today at Xbox's Gamescom showcase on August 24, Micros🦋oft Flight Simulator is adding a mode based on the Stihl National Championship Air Races. In short, this mode will allow multiple players to fly World War Two-era fighters at up to speeds of 500 miles per hour.
Right now, there's no certified date for this competitive multiplayer mode going live in Microsoft Flight Si🤡mulator. However, developer Asobo revealed to that they're in the stage of playtesting the mode right now, and it could potentially go 🅠live as early as October later this year.
Elsewhere in the Xbox showcase, it was revealed that a slate of "legendary" planes are coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator. These are some of the World War Two-era planes that were mentioned earlier as part of the competitive mutliplayer mode, but Asobo revealed that they'🐷ve scanned these planes down to a millimetre for accuracy's sake, and even consulted pilots who flew the crafts/
There's more to look forward to with Asobo's game before then however, because the next World Update is arriving on September 7. This next World Update is going to include Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, all three of which were teased a little during the Xbox showcase earlier today. Contained within this update itself are four "澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:hand-crafted" airports, according to the developer, so there's a great deal to get stuck into while we wait for the next big u﷽pdate.

]]>The official first anniversary date was August 18, but as Asobo Studio explained on Microsoft Flight Simulator's official Twitter account, the developers are༺ a little too preoccupied with the next big update to properly celebrate right now. The special anniversary events are scheduled to run from September 6 to 10 instead, so mark your calendar now.
Asobo isn't giving any indication of what the anniversary events may bring so far, but there's even more to celebrate with the game's debut on Xbox Game Pass for consoles in July. Maybe we'll get ℱlucky and have another look at that ace-looking Top Gun: Maverick DLC, before it's set to arrive sometime this fall🌜?
As for the update keeping the developers too busy to celebrate their own game's birthday, Asobo announced today that it is pushing World Update 6 back to September 7. The update, which focuses on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, will add "new aerials and elevation maps, new photogrammetry cities, 4 hand-crafted airports, 🙈nearly🍎 100 POIs and new discovery flights, landing challenges, and bush trips" according to the .

Headlining the new update are several stability and performance updates. You'll hopefully see fewer crashes both in-game and on the world map after the update launches, and you'll see fewer crashes relating to the offline AI traffic. Elsewhere in Microsoft Flight Simulator, the game will no longer freeze for a prolonged period of time when connecting or disconnect any peripherals, like VR headsets (VR came to Microsoft Flight Simulator 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:late last year in an update).
There's also a fix for the corre﷽ct runway to appear during the landing challenge in Nice, and pilots are now displayed in the external plane view camera during the landing challenge in Isafjordur. As you can see in this unboxing (or would it be unbagging) video from Xbox influencer Dhayana, it's a nice looking piece of luggage. If you weren't familiar with Xbox Series S, or even if you were and just weren't looking for it, you'd probably think it was just a regular roller bag - that black circle on the front could easily just be an accent piece, after all. Once you open it up, its purpose is made clear: the luggage includes an Xbox Series S, suitable for playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:now👍 that it's finally available on console, as well as a portable screen so you can play on the go. It's like if the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X fridge also had an 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X and 4K display just chilling inside of it.

Theoretically, you could take this kit with you on an airliner and - as long as your seat had a power outlet - and you remembered to download Flight Simulator ahead of time - you would have everything you'd need to play. Just imagine what a power move it would be to carefully recreate the flight you're on in real time, then nudge whatever privileged soul is in the seat next to you as you say "watch this, I'm about to shave 15 minutes off our arrival time." The luggage even comes with an extra controller so the two of you can relax with some Battletoads once you're done schooling that poor pilot on the supposed importance of landing procedures.

]]>The Sim Update 5 looks like it's going to be enormous for the simulation flight game. In a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Twitch stream, developer Asobo 🍨Studios took an hour to show off the impressive performance enhancements coming to the game, which should make the experien꧒ce much smoother in the long run.
𝐆In a demonstration of the tech behind the update, Asobo Studio's CEO Sebastian Wloch showed a fly-over of Manhattan on a high-end PC, running the game at 4K Ultra settings. The game was only able to reach around 35 frames per second consistently, making for some fairly choppy viewing.
Wloch then ran the same simulation🎀 again with the update installed, and the game ran much smoother. It consistently output around 55 fr🔥ames per second, showcasing a nearly doubled performance. For one update, that is pretty impressive.
The update is set to go live on July 27, alongside the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X version of the game.
Even with the update in place, you will likely still need a very beefy computer to get the most out of Microsoft Flight Simulator. It's not just the photorealistic graphics either - the astonishing tech behind rendering a to-scale reconstruction of the world that replicates real weather and time is a massive ask for most hardware. Even the powerful Xbox🎶 Series X version of Microsoft Flight Simulator will only be able💦 to r☂un at 30 FPS at a currently unspecified resolution.
That's why it's great to see these updates coming, which should make it a generally more pleasant experience. It&apo🐎s;s an astonishing game and getting it into more players' hands with reasonable hardware expectations should help the title no end.
The update will extend past performance, too. Asobo has announced that Sim Update 5 wi🔜ll also bring reworked tutorials and flying assist that should make the act of flying a plane much more accessible all around. If you've been thinking about jumping in, July 27th seems like the perfect time.

]]>The announcement was tucked inside Microsoft's for its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox E3 2021 presentation (as spotted by ), and it's the first time the company has confirmed that it plans to keep full new games flowing onto its older hardware with the power🌠 of the cloud.
"For the millions of people who play on Xbox One consoles today, we are looking forward to sharing more about how we will bring many of these next-gen games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, to your console through Xbox Cloud Gaming, just like we do with mobile devices, tওablets, and browsers," Xbox Wire editor in chief Will Tuttle writes in the post.
This would be a huge boon for folks who want to keep playing the latest Xbox games but can't pick up the newest hardware, and it could potentially be extended indefinitely to generations even beyond Xbox Series X; as long as the game could be played on the same kind of screen and the same kind of controller, you'd be all set. Xbox is still testing out browser-based cloud gaming for players on PC and on iOS, so it will probably get that part locked down before it starts expanding🥀 to Xbox One as well.
While Microsoft has remained committed to bringing many of its new games to last-gen via Xbox Smart Delivery, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:E3 2021 has proven that the needle is starting to shift toward next-gen exclusives: show favorites including 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Starfield, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Redfall, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl are all coming exclusively to Xbox Series X and S on consoles next year, and they're all releasing on Xbox Game Pass. While pre-orders are open, there's no specific release date, although the wording on the website seems to indicate that Xbox Series X|S players will be equipped with the controls "needed to navigate the skies." We learned at E3 2021 that the game would be 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:launching in July for the Xbox ecosystem, so we can likely s♍ay that the system will launch around then. The console version of the ever astonishing simulator is finally taking off on consoles on July 27, 2021. Announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase in a stunning trailer, the game looks to be fully featured and ready for players to get in the cockpit.
As should be expected, but worth noting, the game wil🌳l also come to Game Pass subscribers who will be able to pick up the game for no extra charge on th🐭e same date.
That wasn’t all though. Microsoft Flight Simulator fans were also treated to the mother of all airplane crossovers too. The game will be seeing a Top Gun: Maverick tie in, that will bring several planes from the movie to the game in a free expansion.
Top Gun: Maverick is the sequel to the 1986 hit starring Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise, and it is set to release on November 19, 2021. That has it lining up with the ‘fall 2021’ release date for♐ the Microsoft Flight Simulator DLC.
We don’t know what planes will be coming in the expansion, but for players who have a deep interest in fighter jets, going fast, and The Danger Zone, this seems like a really exciting opportunity. Also, with the exquisite l꧃evel of detail Asobo Studio is known for, it will be fascinating to see a plane from a film painstakingly reconstructed.

The game is already available to play on PC but, as of Summer 2021, will be playable on the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series S.
The𒁃 reveal was made through a new gameplay traiꩵler, which you can watch below, and is captured in real-time 4K on Xbox Series X.
With the game running on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, players will reportedly get to experience the same level of d🤡epth and complexity that fans of the sim have come to enjoy and love on PC.
Jor𒈔g Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, said in a new , "For the first time, we wanted to give more aspiring pilots a chance to take fligh♚t by bringing this robust simulation to consoles."
"From light planes to wide-body jets, you’ll test your piloting skills against the challenges of real-time weather includin𝕴g accurate wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, rain, and lighting – all in a dynamic and living world. With the power of satellite data and cloud-based AI, you’ll travel the entire planet in amazing detail with over 37 thousand airports, 2 million cities, 1.5 billion buildings, real mountains, roads, trees, rivers, animals, traffic, and more."
Microsoft F🍸light Simu꧂lator will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass on launch day.
Check out how someone flew to another country in Microsoft Simulator while on the same flight in real life.
]]>Folks, I am incredibly, incredibly excited t🐻o finally try this. It's time to play Flight Simulator aboa🅰rd a flight.
Shortly after 18:00 Montreal time last night, Ismail told his followers that he was "incredibly, incredibly excited" to begin his experiment. Shortly after take-off, he said that the flights were "pretty synced up," and that ✱entering the cloud cover was only "seconds apart." A couple of hours later, the difference had grown, but only by around four minutes - Ismail said that while his virtual flight had him just under two and a half hours out from his destination, its real-life equivalent had the remaining journey time at 2:25.
Eventually, it turned out that Flight Sim was "about four minutes" faster than the real flight, but the comparisons between the game and real-life went further than just th💯e journey time. Both Ismail and his pilot "started descent at almost the exact same second," while the former Vlambeer developer noted that everything from the cloud cover to the stars above to the sunrise over Europe looked the same both in-game and IRL.
Already an outstanding technical achievement, Microsoft Flight Simulator is set to become even more accurate as development continues. New UK locations are set to be added to ꦓthe game in Janꦦuary, and developer Asobo Studios has confirmed that the game&ꦍapos;s free VR update is also ♏on its way soon.
Here are some of the rest of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PC games that you can play right now.
]]>The developers at Asobo Studios revealed the news in a recent , as spotted by . The virtual reality features ar🌠e set to go live as part of Sim Update 2 on December 23, meaning it will be just in time to recreate holiday travels in virtual reality. OK, that is admittedly the least exciting way I could have found to describe t🎃he thrill of launching into flight and feeling like you're really there.
"We are going to open VR for everyone," executive producer Martial🍷 Bossard explained. "It's not only the sim experience in VR, but also all the menus, so you won't have to put it on and off as we did for the alpha. So everybody gets access to VR now - for free! It will also be open 🎃to all devices, to the Oculus family, Valve family, really every family of headset is going to be supported."
This is a change from the studio's previously announced plans to launch VR with exclusive support for HP's upcoming Reverb G2 headset, and it's good news for virtual reality enthusiasts across all devices. If you're looking to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:buy Oculus Quest 2 or if you already have one, you should be able to use that to play as well. Howeveꦓr, you will need a PC capable of running Microsoft Flight Simulator in VR mode and a link cable, which are both sold separately, to hook it all up.
Up next after Sim Update 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator is planning on adding a bunch of UK locations in a January update.
]]>The next major world refresh for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which will be the game's thirdꦜ update, targets the UK in January. We can expect to see a bunch of landmarks for England, Scotland, and Wales added to the already gargantuan game, and developer that we can expect to see between 50 and 60 brand new points of interest in the U💮K expansion.
As always, you can exp🏅ect a slate of brand new airports to debut with the UK expansion. London Heathrow is already available in Microsoft Flight Simulator as the UK's only airport, but this expansion should see a number of additionꦓal airports added in, as well as landmarks including Land's End, Manchester Barton, and more.
Right now, it's not clear if Ireland will be included in the UK-centric update launching in January. Asobo has said they're still working hard on attempting to recreate various Irish landmarks and buildings f🌌or the🦩 game, but that doesn't necessarily mean Ireland will be added to Microsoft Flight Simulator in January.
As of now, the UK world update for Microsoft🍌 Flight Simulator is scheduled to launch on January 26. Before that though, Asob✱o will be introducing VR support for all PC-related devices on December 22, so you can cruise around the world from within a headset.
This is the major world update follows Japan and USA-focused updates that were recently added to the game. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Support for Japanese locations was added in earlier this year in Septembeඣr, introducing multiple landmarks including Mount Fuji, and the USA update has only just launched this past week, adding in🔥 impressive locations like the Grand Canyon.
If you're just getting going with piloting aircraft around the world for the first time, you can check out our full Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 beginner guide for more.
]]>As spotted by , user Cygnifick posted the code on the , which references "Scarlett_VR", and "EDITION_SCARLETT publishedPackages_Scarlett.xml". Scarlett is the original code name for the next-generation lineup of consoles. As such, both 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series S fall under the project Scarlett codename. The mention of Scarlett in the Microsoft Flight Simulator code changes may suggest that Micros🌃🌳oft may be considering or internally testing VR support on the upcoming consoles.
Back in July, an post revealed that a VR mode was in the works for the flight sim as a result of community feedback. The post details that VR support will be available later this year in time for the launch of HP's new Reverb G2 headset. Recently, developer Asobo Studio announced that it will be 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:holding a VR closed beta, whᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚich players can sign up to. The plan outlines that it will be hel✅d in two phases, with one beta focusing on Window Mixed Reality devices, while the other will test additional VR headsets.
Currently, Microsoft Flight Simulator is only available on PC and is also included in Xbox Game Pass on the platform, but the plan has always been to release the game on Xbox One at some stage. No release date has been revealed for the X🅷box One edition, with Asobo Studio yet to reveal much about 🔯the console launch.
It would make sense to see it take flight on the next-gen consoles as well as the Xbox One. While it's best to temper expectations for now, with VR support currently in closed beta on PC and a console 🌠edition on the way, it doesn't seem entirely outside of the🔴 realms of possibility that thought is being paid to a potential VR mode on the Xbox Series X and Series S at some point.

Reddit user Oh_Gaz shared the creations, which placed 200-meter-tall versions of the upcoming next-gen consoles on each of their company's respec🍌tive headquarters. Here's a huge PS5 looming over the sಞtreets of Minato, Tokyo.

I know the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5 dimensions are big, but landing a plane on it? This is ridiculous! And here's an equally titanicꦺ Xbox Series X commanding the skyline of Redmond, Washington.

Oh_Gaz modeled the consoles and added them to the PC version of Microsoft Flight Simulator - you won't find them while you're out flying yourself, though you may find a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:cavernous pit somewhere in Brazil.
The Flight Sim versions are pretty darn close to their real-life counterparts, right down to the little details, though they do have a few creative liberties. For instance, it only looks like th🌃e top grill of Xbox Series X glows… though if I was the architect in charge of making a skyscraper verꦡsion of the console, I would probably opt for lots of colorful green lights too.
Microsoft Flight Simulator recently added more detailed recreations of the Tokyo metropolitan area, as well as Mount Fuji and other Japanese landmarks. They didn't include any building-sized consoles at the time, but thankfu🗹lly the mo🌜dding community was around to correct that oversight.

]]>Earlier today, a page was published on the announcing a VR beta. It's only a closed beta however, and it'll be split up𒁃 into two phases: the first will focus on Windows Mixed Reality Devices, while the second closed beta will expand to additional VR headsets.
If you own Microsoft Flight Simulator and a Windows Mixed Reality Device, you can sign up to be part of the beta now. Signing up won't guarantee you access, and you'll need to be registered Microsoft Flight Simulator Insider to take part. You'll obviously need to meet the minimum PC requirements to run the game, and you'll need to sign a non-disclosur🥀e agreement before taking part.
There's no🌜 information in the announcement on when phase two of the closed betaꦫ will kick off, or when the entire VR beta for Flight Simulator will conclude.
Outside of a possible VR mode, there's a lot more on the horizon for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Microsoft revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online last month that Japanese locations and landmarks woulꦚd be arriving in the game, and developer Asobo has committed to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a decade of support for the game following its release in August.
There's also a lot of weird errors popping up in Microsoft Flight Simulator. After a mysterious skyscraper was cre🅺ated in a suburb through a single typo in August, there's now a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:huge cavernous pit in Brazil, where there absolutely shouldn't be one. It's all very strange but very entertainin🎶g.

]]>In an interview with (and translated by ), Asobo CEO Sebastian Wloch reveals the studio is working on two new projects. One of these projects is for publisher Focus Home, while the other is for Mic🎐rosoft.
Asobo collaborated with Microsoft to release Microsoft Flight Simulator in August for PC. The release was met with near-universal acclaim, and Wloch pledged a decade of support for Microsoft Flight Simulator from Asobo in the recent interview (which began last month with the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:addition of Japanese locations).
Right now, there's zero information about wha🐭t this new project between Asobo and Microsoft could be. Asobo has their hands relatively full with the commitment to Flight Simulator for a decade, as well as a new game with publisher Focus Home, in addition to the second project with Microsoft. That's a lot of projects on t⛦he go at once.
Last year, Asobo released 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:A Plague Tale: Innocence with Focus Home to an overly positive reception. It would go on to be include♚d in Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass, and a would claim that Asobo is developing a sequel to the game with Focus Home.

]]>The g𒉰reat abyss glitch (as I'm now calling it) appears to have first been caught by a player who posted their plunge into the depths on Reddit. As spotted by , User uploaded a video showing their flight down into the strange cr♋evasse, and things get quite weird.
The ground is warped and stretche💞d, as though it's being pulled down by some mysterious force. Towards the end of the footage, the plane begins to spiral and you can see the sky bend and twist to merge with the ground as the aircraft starts to glitch out down in the great pit.
from
Since the post went up, many other players have jumped into a plane in the Flight Simulator to check out the mighty big hole for themselves. As , there appears to be an airstrip located at the bottom, but ꦫI can't imagine how you'd ever manage to exec💜ute a safe landing down there.
Microsoft Flight Simulator's highly detailed recreation of our Earth lets you fly to real-world locations, soak up the views, and speꦇn♔d probably too much time trying to find your old haunts or your childhood home from the sky.
But every now and then, players also stumble upon a memorable glitch like this great hole in the ground that seemingly takes you to a strange warped dimension. Other glitches have also come to light recently, just like the incredibly tall skyscraper that was caused by a single typo. With the whole world at your 🦩feet, who knows just what wonderfully w🧔eird glitch will appear next in the flight sim.

When it arrives, the new update for Microsoft Flight Simulator is going to be adding a ton of new Japanese locations to the game. Locations set to be included with the update are Kushiro Airp🍷ort, Matshushima Bay, Hachijo-Jima, Hakone, Yokohama, the Tower of Wind, Moun🌄t Fuji, and Tokyo itself.
This isn't the fir🔴st Japan-based location to be present in the 2020 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Tokyo's Haneda Airport is actꦕually already available in the game, but it's the only location in the base game that's in Japan.
Hopefully none of these locations will run afoul of the in-game algorithm of Microsoft Flight Simulator, which last month managed to produce a mysteriously tall skꦛyscraper where there should be none, through a single typo.

If you’re on the loo൩kout for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 mods, the best place to look is certainly the for the game. From there you can dig into pages upon pages of new aircraft, liveries and landmarks. If you can’t find what you’re looking for there, there’s also the website, which splits the mod types into planes, skins and scenery for easy access.
If you want to install Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 mods, you’re going to have to figure out⛎ where you installed the game. This sounds easy in practice but given the game’s arca𒊎ne installation method, it’s actually a bit tricky.
If you’ve had any trouble installing you may be familiar, but here’s a quick reminder of the string you need to navigate to in order to find the mo🉐d folder. A quick tip is to type %appdata% in the Windows search bar to open the folder quickly, then navigate back to ‘Local’ to progress and find your Microsoft Flight Simulator files. Of course, if you didn’t install the game to your C:\ drive as recommended, head to the drive you have chosen and continue with the string from there.
C:\Users\[Computer Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Steam Installation:
C:\Users\[Computer Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightDashboard_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Once you’ve figured it out, all you need to do is drag your mods to the⛦ community folder in the string. Most mods arrive in a ZIP/RAR format, so all you need to do is extract them directly into the ‘Community’ directory.
If you care about realism in Microsoft Flight Simulator, then you definitely want to make sure that the 60-foot🦩 Gundam that has been built to loom over the Yokohama Gundam Factory in Tokyo, Japan is visible in your game. does just that, adding a lovingly crafted 3D model of the mech so that you can bask in its overwhelming presence.
Our current situation has made visiting theme parks quite tricky, so I extend my thanks to this crafty modder who has managed to add . This means you can head to Chessy and gawp at the iconic castle from abo🐭ve, reminiscing about the Tower of Terror from the comfort and safety of your aircraft.
You may have heard that Microsoft Flight Simulator’s all-encompassing artificial intelligence has turned Buckingham Palace . If that’s something yo💮u think needs remedying, then you can fix that with this that better represe🔴nts the London residence of Queen Elizabeth II.
Realism enthusiasts may also want✤ to take a look at this mod that grafts in Godzilla, King of the Monsters. If you dream of using an in the San Francisco Bay Area, then this meticulous 3D model will suit your needs.
All jokes aside, if you want yoౠur planes to display typical commercial liveries, then this megapack is essential. The current version of the🐷 package adds , so you’re bound to find a passenger plane decal that you’re familiar with, from British Airways to… Ferrari?
If you want to really get into the nitty-gritty of airport life, you can also download this mod pack that makes all of the ground service teams in Microsoft Flight Simulator For the dedicated, fashion is a key factor🐻 in the Flight Sim experience.
Back to unreality, this modder has managed to graft in a number of famous landmarks from the Harry Potter series into Microsoft Flight S𒊎imulator, with the main event being . The pack also includes a Quidditch Stadium and Hagrid’s hovel, so you can fly over Harry’s old stomping grounds. Now we just need a mod that adds a flying Ford Anglia…
One of the most stunning locations on Earth, the Yosemite Valley has been If you’re constantly flying over this expanse in the base game wishing that it would have some more detail, then this is the mod for you. Even the s꧙upplementary images are awe-inspiring.
If you’re fanatical about outer space, it might be worth adding in this Floridian scenery pack that brings the . As well as an authentic recreation of the buildings at the site, you’ll aꦅlso be able to spot a Falcon Heavy Rocket nestled in the launch complex as you’re flying over the area.
Developer Rami Ismail worked on the Twitch play𝄹s version of the game, which puts the chat in control of the game through a series of different inputs and commands to navigate the plane in an꧂ attempt to reach an assigned destination. After taking to the sky in a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft, Twitch took off from Košice, Slovakia, and flew for an hour before successfully landing and even hitting the runway smoothly.
The Twitch chat lit up in celebration, and you can’t help but cheer along with them as the plane lands safely. But of cours❀e, the controls weren’t always used correctly, as evidenced by this vi🌊deo posted on .
Microsoft Flight Simulator has some impressively detailed controls to recreate the experience of flying various different aircrafts, and giving Twitch chaꦛt the chance to take over and control a plane is such an entertaining way of trying to successfully navigate a flight path. The stream last🗹ed for several hours, during which the chat even managed to get very close to the ocean and .
From recreating the real-world so you can try to f𒁏ind your house or famous landmarks, to giving you control of a vast variety of different kinds of planes, and simulating weather conditions, Microsoft Flight Simulator has been a hit online with play🍌ers jumping at the chance to take flight and explore the world since it first went into beta back in July and then released just last month.
Flight Simulator 2020 is as much a zen masterpiece as it is a hardcore sim.
]]>The thrust of Microsoft Flight Simulಞator is, as you would imagine, flying: you're given a range of different planes across various different classes and can fly them in different weather conditions, during the night, and with ever-changing atmospheric conditions. It's as close to flying as you can get while sitting behind your PC.
Microsoft has really stepped up how Flight Simulator looks with the 2020 release,𓆉 rendering over 37,000 airports, 1.5 billion buildings, and two trillion trees, mountains, roads, rivers, and other features. It's a serious level of attention to detail and has really paid off, with a game that constantly surprises with new, incredibly detailed locations.
There's three different editions of Flight Simulator on offer – Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe – all of which have their pluses and mi💦nuses, detailed below.
As the name suggests, the standard version of thꦅe game is the cheapest, clocking in at $59.9🐓9/£59.99, and features the more barebones selection of things: 20 planes and 30 "handcrafted" airports. You can still fly to the 37,000 airports on the map, but only 30 will include detailed rendering. But it's still a hell of a lot of fun.
The middle-tier version of Flight Simulator, costing $89.99/£79.99, ꧙has everything in the standard tier (naturally) but adds five additional planes from Diamond Aircraft and Textron Aviation and five additional airports: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Cairo International Airport, Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport, O'Hare International Airport, and Cape Town International Airport.
You may now be sensing a theme: the Premium Deluxe version, costing $120/ £109.99, delivers what the other two have but with the addition of 10 new aircra🌸ft – including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner – and 10 new airports in the US, UK, Dubai, and Germany. While this is the most expensive version, it does also come with the most detail, which might be important if you're looking to spend a lot of time in-game.

Thanks to the excellent by the Twitter community (and for the shout), the catalyꦍst that would eventually create this strange phenomenon has been identified. About a year back, someone erroneously labeled a two-story building in OpenStreetMap suggesting it was 212 floors tall. Thanks to some unfortunate timing, developer Asobo Studio pul🌺led that same data when they were building the vast world map in Flight Simulator, resulting in what would be the tallest building ever (if it were real).
So what do we do with this happy little (big) accident? Well, assuming it hasn't been patched out - which it will be - you should try landing on it. Thanks to the dedication of one , we know it's possible,🐎 and the views are breathtaking.
Microsoft Flight Simulator released on Thursday to mostly positive reviews. You can reassign the keyboard parking brake input from the Flight Simulator 2020 Num🐟 Del key to something else in the options menu by heading to the ‘Controls’ screen, searching for ‘Toggle 🍎Parking Brakes’, clicking the input box and choosing another key.

The Num Del or Num Decimal key is found on a keyboard Numpad. This is the extension, usually found to the right of the Arrow Keys,🐭 separate to the rest of the board. Some keyboards don’t offer a Numpad, in which case you can rebind the key to the keys you have available, or map it to a button on a peripheral.
Numpads vary in design, but in most cases, the Num Del key will be represented by a decimal, or a dot, a full stop. Mine is situated in between the ‘0’ key and the ‘Enter’ 🌼key on the bottom row of keys on my Numpad, in the bottom right corner of my keyboard. To toggle the parking brake in Microsoft Flight Simulator, hold CTRL (the key 𝄹in the bottom left corner of your keyboard) and tap the Num Del key. Now you can accelerate and tilt your nose to take off from the runway.
If you’ve realised that you don’t have a Numpad, and rebinding a key isn’tಞ convenient for you right now, you can always flick the parking brake lever with a mouse click. Make sure you’re inside the cockpit (tap the END button on your keyboard to swap between the cockpit and external view) then zoom in and have a look for it on the interface of your aircraft. It will be different for each plane, so you'll need to search around.
If you prefer to play Microsoft Flight Simulator with an Xbox Controller, you can release 𒅌the parking brake by pressing Y + B together when you’re on the runway. Then accelerate with the A button and tilt the left stick to pull up and take off.

The training missions in Microsoft Flight Simulator go into great depth and will give you a solid idea of how to navigate, take off and land. Unfortunately, they’re also quite rigid and can be quite annoying when you’re forced to restart the whole thing after making a mistake. Try them to start, but don’t get too disillusioned if you can’t get the hang of it - I’d argue it’s easier to learn on the job dur♒ing a free flight, especially if you’re just looking to fly around rather than fully simulate every aspect of a plane’s control systems.
Found in the options tab on the main menu, the Assistanceꦉ screen will let you tinker with the many systems that govern your in-flight experience. Set the top option to ‘All Assists’ to start, then dig into every menu here to fine-tune your level of difficulty. In the Piloting tab, you can delegate your ATC to the AI and add Assisted Yoke to smooth your mo🐬vements in the air.
Beyond that,💦 you can turn on Unlimited Fuel in the Aircraft Systems ꦺmenu so you can go for as long as you like in a tiny propellor plane, and remove Crash and Stress Damage from every aircraft to travel at unlimited speed and ensure you don’t get kicked to the menu when you hit the concrete.
The rest of the options pertain to the user interface and notifications - if you feel the screen is too di𓂃stracting and busy when you’re𝓡 flying, you can switch off most of the pop-up assets!
Kicking off your piloting career in an intercontinental airliner is not the wisest decision. Start with an efficient, easy to control propeller plane such as the bright yellow Savage Cub, which is excellent for rough landings, exploring busy cities and gawping at landmarks. If you’re ꦡlooking to take in a more expansive stretch of land such as a mountain range or just really zip through the gorge♑ous landscape, the next step up for you should be one of the two jets in the game, as they’re super-fast and relatively easy to control. If you don’t care about realism, you can flick the damage failures off in the aircraft menu and just peel about the sky at 450 knots and beyond.
Once you’re in the air, the in-flight menu is your best fri𝔉end. If you drag your mouse onto the screen, you’ll see a little tab you can activate with lots of different buttons. This can be quite overwhelming at first, but here are a few of the most important things to note. Bear in mind that you can press the middle button at the top right of each menu asset to pop-out the menu and drag it on to a second monitor if you have one. Treat them like b👍rowser pages on your desktop:
The first thing you should try if you’re struggling to fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is the third-person mode. By tapping End on your keyboard or the hamburger button on your Xbox controller, you’ll be able to see the world beyond your claustrophobic cockpit. This will provide you with a🐼 generous vantage of the world outside, and let you take in the glo🎐rious vistas that Microsoft Flight Simulator has to offer.
It’s also a lot easier to fly in third-person, especially if you’re not too bot✅hered about the nitty-gritty of the cockpit interface. You’ll see how pitch, yaw and roll can physically affect the plane in the air, which is a great way✱ to learn how to fly. When you want to return to the cockpit, just tap the same input to get back to the more intimate view.
Even though it’s easier, you’ll still most likely run into some dangerous situations when you’re getting used to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The best thing you can do is to hit the Pause or Pause Break key on your keyboard (next to Scroll Lock and Print Screen, usually) when the going gets tough. T🤪his will stop your plane dead in its tracks, initiating an Active Pause.
From here, you can take stock, og🍸le the environment, capture photos and sort yourself out if you’re in a bind. Once you’ve got the hang of the Active Pause, consider changing the simulation speed to your liking if you’re still struggling in the air. Modifying the simulation speed will let you slow down or speed up time to your taste, by holding the R key and tapping the plus or minus keys on your Numpad.
This means your plane will travel at lightning speed or an agonising crawl, depending on your preference. If you just want to make it to another location without cruising, speeding up the simulation will let you make it there in a j💟iffy. Yet if you’re going to go slow through your hometown and take i𒐪n the sites, you can drop the simulation speed while you look around.

Flight Simulator 2020 is a hefty download, and with many players attempting to access it at the same time the servers are st⭕raining under the load. If you're experiencing Flight Simulator 2020 slow download speeds then Microsoft suggest the following:
Other methods to increase your download speed are to use a wired connection and avoid downloading over Wi-Fi, turn off any security software such as Fꩵirewall or Antivirus which could be affecting it, or changing the installation destination to another folder or drive. If you find the download is hanging then close the app then restart it rather than waiting, and your dow♌nload will continue from where it was before.
There is currently a known issue with this version of Windows, where beginning installation will report an error code, so as a temporary workaround you can try using the Xbox App to launch the program instead. To get it, open the Microsoft Store App, search for Xbox then select the Xbox (Beta) App. Once installed, sign in then launch Miღcrꦬosoft Flight Simulator through there.
If you previously received this error message, it should have been resolved now the official release date has passed. If you're still experiencing the issue, check your computer da❀te, time, and region settings to make sure they are correct and match the region of purchase. You may also have to access Windows Defender settings and temporarily disable real-time scanning, set game priority to high, and turn off any overlays.
Of course, if you own🍎 the physical version of Microsoft Flight Simulator, then ensure that the correct disc is inserted in your computer.
If you're starting up Microsoft Flight Simulator and find the loading process stops with the blue bar hanging, then exit the program by pressing Alt+F4. Trౠy to restart the sim a couple more times, and if that doesn't resolve the issue then run the program as an Administrator. This error is currently being investigated, so it should be resolved soon.
If you're using the sim on Steam or Windows Store and are not🔜 seeing the Deluxe or Premium content you are entitled to, then completely log out of both Microsoft Fli🍸ght Simulator and Steam/Windows Store. Next, reload Steam/Windows Store then launch the sim again and head to the marketplace, where you should see the Deluxe or Premium content is now marked as owned and available for download.
If this doesn't resolve the missing deluxe or premium content issue, you'll need to submit a support ticket via for inves൲tigation.

As Mathijs Kok of developer Aeℱrosoft explained in a (as spotted by ), two expanded physical editions of the game will be available in Europe. Both the standard edition and premium edition come with 10 double-layer DVDs with roughly 90GB of content between them – you just get a fancier box with the premiu🧔m one.
Kok broke it down like this: the code governing the sim itself is relatively small, and third-party and online streamed content is totally optiona𒈔l, so the discs mainly contain "the world and aircraft delivered by Microsoft" which is necessary for the sim to work. It's a whole hell of a lot♚ of assets on a whole hell of a lot of discs, basically. This is easily the biggest special edition for any game in decades.
"When you install, the sim will update all files immediately from the servers and you will get the very latest code for the simulator itself and all content is updated," he says. "This is very much a simulator that depends on the cloud if you want to 🍬use it to its full potenti🍃al. So the boxed version makes it possible for people on a slower internet connection to get the sim installed without downloading the 'content'. So the simulator is in every way, 100% the same. The boxed retail version just gets you a nice box, printed manual and about 90GB you do not have to download. There is no difference between boxed retail and the verison MS sells directly."
In a separate post, Kok explained that preparing these physical editions was a nightmare due to production complications caused by the still-ongoing coronavirus pandemic. "Try to get hundreds of thousands of DVDs pressed and boxes made while Asia was unreachable and most of Europe in lockdown," he says. "It was not easy. It was stressful. But it is done and we are able to start shipping soon. As we reach this next milestone in this project, I ca🐬n tell you I have never met any team working on MFS that was this nice, this responsive and this focussed on what this sim really is."
The Microsoft Flight simulator PC release date is set for August 18.
]]>The next stage in Micr🐼osoft Flight Simulator's development was quietly put on the schedule in a published last week. Microsoft Flight Simulator has been in alpha since late 2019, and it still has a loose 2020 release window.
We don't yet know what changes will be in store for the beta version of the game/simulator/plane flying thing. The alpha version already lets players embark on aerial journeys in a number of different planes, all across a mind-bogglingly detailed recreation of the Earth streamed in from Microsoft's vast stores of satellite imagery. Yes, that means 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:you can probably see your house from up there, or national landmarks, or the vast reaches of nature preserves, 🐓or that one street corner people always turn down too fast.
You can even enable real-life weather conditions to make your flights as realistic as possible - or turn them off if you have a rainy or sunny mood in mind. It's a remarkable game whether or not you know the difference between a G58 and a DR400, and it can be played with an Xbox gamepad or a fℱull-on HOTAS setup if you prefer the in-depth flight simulator experience.
We'll let you know when we have more official details about ꦬthe Microsoft Flight Simulator beta, as well as when the game is expected to get a full, proper release on PC and Xbox.

Fortunately, while the high-end tiers do require some impressive gear, the minimum specs for Microsoft Flight Simulator are more reasonable. It's important to note, however, that no matter what graphics card you've got or how much RAM you're working with, you'll need 150GB of free space to take to the skies. That's the same amount of free hard drive space needed for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Red Dead Redemption 2.

Take for example this gorgeously realistic in-game shot of Baltimore Bay in May. With clouds drifting through the sky, and the detailed landscape below, I fi✤nd it hard to actually process that I'm looking at a game's rendering of the area. The realistic appearance and feel of the simulator promises to deliver the most immersive experience as an aircraft pilot.
We also get to look down on the , and a jaw-dropping view of Lake Tekapo in New Zealand. If you compare the latter to real images captured above the lake, it looks exactly like the real deal, and my brain struggles to comprehend the idea that it isn&a🐭pos;t. Other videos also show off some of the aircrafts you can pilot in-flight, including an , an with a beautiful pink horizon, a , and an .
These videos come just after the release of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Microsoft Flight Simulator alpha. All of the clips are pretty short in length, and you can't help but wish tܫhey'd go on for just 🅺a little bit longer to truly soak up the beautiful views of the landscapes you can fly over.
Microsoft's Flight Simulator is a lo🍌ng-running franchise, and the upcoming release on Xbox One and PC sometime in 2020 truly looks set to be the most realistic instalment yet. Letting you pilot a vast selection of different aircrafts, you can set flight plans to any destination in the world and experience flying in the𓆉 daytime or during the night with different weather conditions.

Signing up for the alpha takes more effort than just agreeing to some Terms of Service, but it will all be worth it once you&apo꧙s;re cruising comfortably at 30,000 feet. Head to the , click the menu icon in the upper right, and hit Insider Login. You'll need to sign in with your Microsoft account, then return to the website and click "Flighting Signup". Fill out the surprisingly thorough survey and submit a DxDiag file to attest to your computer's specs. No idea what that means? Don't worry, the website will tell you what to do.
Get all that done and you'll have a shot at playing in the Flight Simulator alpha. While you may or may not get in with the first wave, Microsoft says it will "regularly" invite new groups of players to get their hands on throttle and stick. Speaking of which, you don't need a full-on HOTAS setup to play Flight Simulator, even at this early stage.
