"I can tell you, being a big fan of the first season, that I'm so proud of - I'm not talking about my work, but all of the work that so many artists kind of put into that, like all the love that went into that," Goggins tells GamesRadar+. "This is a whole ‘nother level. I wasn't prepared for where the story was gonna go and how fully fleshed out on the other side of i🍸ntroducing this world to people. Now it is so lived in as if it's been there for two hundred years. It's really quite something. I can’t wait for peopl⛎e to see it."

Goggins earned an Emmy nomination for his starring role in Fallout, a live-action TV show adaptation of the extremely popular video game franchise of the same name. The actor plays the Ghoul, a former actor and father who becomes zombified after a world-ending nuclear disaster and carries himself as a ruthless, violent outlaw - who we can't help but root for. The series premiered in 2024 on Prime Video and broke the streamer's record for most-watched original series. A second season was quickly announced, with the last few seconds of the season finale teasing what's to come (Hint: We're headed 🥃to Vegas).

Goggins' most recent project is The Uninvited, an indie comedy of errors that follows a rather unhappy Hollywood couple who set out to host a lavish dinner party - only to have it crashed by a confused elderly woman who acci𝓰dentally shows up in their driveway and is adamant that it's her house. The impressive ensemble cast includes Elizabeth Reaser, Eve de Dominici, Rufus Sewell,🐬 and Pedro Pascal.

Fallout season 2 does not yet have a release date. The Uninvited hits cinemas in the UK on May 9. You can find the complete list of theaters and showtimes . For more, check out our list of the most exciting 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming movies in 2025 and beyond.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Hanna-Barbera's classic cartoon Scooby-Doo is getting yet another fresh coat of paint in the form of an🍃 updated concept, this time from Netflix, who have announced a new live-action reimagining of the story🐻 that recasts Fred, Shaggy, Daphne, and Velma as kids attending and living around a summer camp.

Titled simply Scooby-Doo, the new show is executive produced by none💮 other than Greg Berlanti, well-known as the producer behind DC comic adaptation shows including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and more, as well as The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He'll be joined by production company Midnight Radio, consisting of producers Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg, known for Netflix's live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bepop.

ℱIn the series, Shaggy and Daphne are pals attending a summer camp, whꩲile Velma is a townie living nearby, and Fred is a new kid in town with a mysterious past. They'll come together when they find Scooby, a Great Dane puppy who may be the key to solving a murder.

"A modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog," reads the official logline for the Netflix streaming series. "During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them𒀰 into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets."

As fans well know, the classic Scooby-Doo almost never experienced anything to do with actual supernatural beings, instead unmasking various criminals pretending to be 🗹ghosts, monsters, and other magical creatures in order to further their schemes. We're expecting this could likely carry over to the new show as well, despite the outwardly supernatural set-up for the plot.

"One of my first and favorite jobs in Hollywood was sitting with Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera while they signed animation cells," says Berlanti in a statement. "Josh and Scott and everyone at Midnight Radio have crafted a story that captures their amazing spirits anওd their genius creation. We are grateful to them and everyone at Warners and Netflix for the partnership in helping bring this iteration of Scooby-Doo to life!"

No planned premiere date for Netflix's Scooby♉-Doo🌠 has been announced.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> A new live-action Power Rangers TV series is officially in the works at Disney Plus – and we're her♎e for it.

According to , Percy Jackson and the Olympians showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in set t༺o write, produce, and serve as showrunners. Hasbro will produce the upcoming show, which will "reinvent the franchise for a whole new generation of fans while delighting those who already knowꦿ and love the world of Power Rangers."

You may or may not have grown up with the Fox Kids series Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, which premiered in 1993 and launched a massively successful franchise that spawned 145 episodes, three live-action mov🅰ies, numerous video games, and comic books. A new live-action movie, starring Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, Bill Hader, and Elizabe🐭th Banks, hit theaters in 2017 but was ultimately a commercial and critical failure.

In June 2024, it was announced that the planned Ne🌜tflix liv🃏e-action reboot of Power Rangers was ultimately canceled. The Netflix version would have had The Witcher and Daisy Jones & the Six producer Jenny Klein as showrunner, but it was ultimately Hasbro who decided to take the new series in a different direction. I'm personally hoping that the series pulls a Cobra Kai and decides to continue the stor♔ylines from the flagship series while also introducing a new group of heroes. Anything is possible.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Two years after it was scrapped, the trailer for the CW's live-action Powerpuff Girls series has been leaked – and it's just what you'd expect from the screenwr♏iter 𒐪of Juno and Jennifer's Body.

The show, titled Powerpuff, was based on the popular Cartoon Network animated series and would have followed the superpowered trio as disillusioned twenty-somethings. Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault were set to play Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, before Benꦿnet dropped out due to scheduling issues. Diablo Cody co-wrote the pilot with Veronica Mars' Heather Regnier.

In the trailer, which you can watch below, the girls leave their crime-fighꦓting days behind them after a fatal accident kills 🍎Mojo Jojo. Seven years later, though, darkness threatens Townsville once more and the trio reluctantly reunite.

The show was first announced to be in development in 2020 and was ordered to pilot in 2021. Later that same year, it was reported that the episode would undergo a creative overhaul. "The reason we do pilots is sometimes things miss, this was just a miss," 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:CW boss Mark 🧔Pedowitz said a🅠t the time. "We believe in the cast completely, we believe in Diablo and Heather, th🌊e writers… in this case, the pilot didn’t work." In 2023, it was a🦋nnounced that the project had been scrapped.

However, another of Cody's projects may be getting another lease of life: Jennifer's Body star Amanda Seyfried rece🍒ntly teased that a sequel may be in the works. "I think we’re making another one," she said. "I didn’t confirm it! I said, 'I think,'" she added, winking. 💃"We’༒re working on it!"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> After three years 🙈of anticipation, Squid Game season 2 arrived on Netflix to considerable fanfare and viewership in late 2024. Despite all the excitement tho🍷ugh, another TV show managed to become the most-watched K-drama on the streaming service, with a to boot.

The release of Squid Game season 2 on Netflix may have been one of the biggest pop culture events of last year. After all, we’d been waiting since November 2021 to see wh✨at comes next for Seong Gi-hun, and that’s reflected in the 619,900,000 hours we all spent watching the episodes🏅 once they arrived on December 26, 2024.

But, in the w𒁏ords of Matthew McConaughey in The Wolf of Wall Street, those are rookie numbers, as a Korean newcomer managed to steal the show’s thunder. Romant꧃ic drama Queen of Tears debuted on Netflix in March 2024, accruing an astonishing 860,400,000 hours of watch time over the ensuing nine months.

Not only does that place it comfortably ahead of Hwang Dong-hyuk’s sci-fi thriller, Queen of Tears places second behind Brid๊gerton season 3 for the year as a whole. Impressive, especially when you consider the wider competition in the likes of Emily in Paris seaso🍸n 4, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, and The Perfect Couple.

It’s not just subscribers who became enamored by the romance series, either. Critics who reviewed it fell in love as well🐠, leading to a nice, round 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, leapfrogging Bridgerton season 3’s 87% and.

A melancholic affair, Queen of Tears follows a married couple, played by Kim Soo-ꦦhyuꦰn and Kim Ji-won, who rekindle their relationship after one of them receives a life-changing diagnosis. Together, they confront the issues impeding their marriage and rediscover what caused them to love each other in the first place.

It’s the lates𓆏t creation from Park Ji-eun, a prolific TV writer in South Korea, known for several hits including Queen of Housewives, My Love from the Star, and Crash Landing on Youꦰ. The latter is also available on Netflix, if you're looking for a good follow-up to the lovelorn events of what happens here.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> With 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 just around the corner, ﷽Netflix has dropped the most wholesome interview betw꧑een star Iñaki Godoy and One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda where the two shed some light on why the Grand Line will play a challenging yet pivotal role in the second installment.

"Why make the Grand Line so challenging? It's tough! I’m very tired!" said star Godoy during the creator's set visit in Cape Town. Oda replied: "In that universe, the Grand Line is ওthe harshest of the seas. We need to shock audiences. That's why there are giants, and of course, lots of bounty hunters. This needs to be a season full of new surprising elements, that’s why it's more challenging." Watch the full interview below.

One Piece fans will know that the Grand Line is an ocean route that wraps around the entire world, kind of like the equator. First shown in꧙ chapter 48 of Oda’s One Piece꧒ manga – which the live-action Netflix show is based on – the Grand Line is split into two sections (Paradise and the New World). However, it is best known as the 'pirate's graveyard' as the ocean there is very unpredictable and difficult to sail across.

At the end of One Piece season 1, Monkey D. Luffy (Godoy) exclaims he is going to the Grand Line, to which his shipmate informs him that it is extremely dangerous. But by Godoy’s comme🤡nts, it sounds like that didn't stop him and The Straw Hat Crew will have to fight off a little more than wayward pirates next season.

During the set visit, the creator also saw more of his world come to life through props, costumes, and whole areas built around the manga he started writing over 25 years ago. "I saw so many✤ things and was truly touched by everyone's dedication," saꦓid Oda.

As well as Godoy, One Piece also stars Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy, and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger. New cast members incl☂ude Charit♋hra Chandran, Joe Manganiello, Katey Sagal, Lera Abova, Mark Harelik, David Dastmalchian, and more.

The live-action show is written by b🦩oth Matt Owens and Joe Tracz, who also serve as showrunners and executive produce✃rs.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> "I am tired of all this off-the-mat nonsense," sensei Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) spits during the second part of Cobra Kai's final season. Given how the first five episodes limped towards the Sekai Taikai, it's a line that nea🌺tly summarizes the belief that the Netflix series had outstayed its welcomꦰe.

Mercifully, Cobr♕a Kai season 6, part 2 heeds its own advice and delivers an anime tournament arc-style that, for the most part, keeps the focus on the mat and delivers a full-throated flurry of punches and kicks, all laced with the sort of personal intrigue that made the early years of the show suc💫h an underdog success.

Fresh off of the defection of Tory (Peyton List) to Cobra Kai, the remaining Miyagi-do fighters must do battle in the Sekai Taikai – all while the ever-duplicitous Kreese (Martin Kove) waits in the wings for his opportunity to strike. With a 16-team tournament ahead of them, they must overcome the usual mix of personal rivalries꧋, double-crosses, and professional jealousy to reign supreme as the ultimate winner of the Tournament of Champions.

Fast facts

Release date: November 15

Episodes seen: 5/5

It's at this juncture where the energy of Cobr🐓a Kai's final season picks up considerably and makes good on the Sekai Taikai's potential ꧃– aided by a pair of changes that helps freshen up the show.

Fighting fit

Cobra Kai

First, moving the Netflix series out of the Valley and to Barcelona injects Cobra Kai with a much-needed shake-up, with the change in backdrop also bringing the show out of its comfort zone a little more. Throw in some meaty new antagonists in the form of the Iron Dragons (led by Mortal Kombat star Lewis Tan as the fearsome Sensei Wolf), and there's plenty of new material – and unfamiliar faces, including stand꧟out Cobra Kai member Kwon Jae-Sung (Brandon H. Lee) – for the Miyagi-do team to bounce off.

Unfortunately, it's also in the interactions between the warring dojos where old habits start to cre🐟ep in. If you've seen one Johnny (William Zabka) and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) argument, you've seen them all – while the hꦗormonal teenagers have a series of petty feuds that would have worked just fine in the more high-school-focused first few seasons, but are now little more than repetitive quarrels that each of them should have grown out of by now.

Cobra Kai also has a few curious choices when it comes to who receives the spotlight here. Sadly, this is no l𝔍onger Miguel's show, despite Xolo Mariduena clearly being a star on the rise with las🐠t year's turn in DC's Blue Beetle. William Zabka, barring one emotionally-charged moment, also has very little to do besides making snide remarks and giving pep talks – an odd choice given he is head and shoulders above most of the ensemble cast acting-wise.

The one narrative detour that does make sense 𒀰is Daniel's continued digging into Mr. Miyagi's cloudy history. However, that doesn't get any real closure here – and comes bundled with what appears to be the use of a clumsy AI deepfake that almost certainly won't sit well with audiences.

Cobra Kai

But those grumbles don't matter as much thanks to Cobra Kai rediscovering its joyous spark. While we won't go into any details here, that's best evidenced by the second part's finale, a wildly entertaining spectacle which rivals any set-piece that's come before it. Additionally, each Sekai Taikai match-up has far more intensity (and improved choreography) compared to the first part's sluggish efforts, even if you have to really suspend your disbelief when it comes to the nౠarratively convenient t🔯ournament brackets.

Heading into this second part, I was expecting Cobra Kai to double down on my belief that it had overshot the perfect ending with last season's Terry Silver showdown. I'm pleased to say those f♛ears were misplaced; the new batch of season 6 episodes are fun, frenetic, and end in a place that leaves ample room for unexpected twists and turns as the Netflix se🐽ries wraps up for good in 2025.

Cobra Kai, then, was clearly holding back. The first five episodes of its final season were meandering, low-st🦂akes affairs. The second part, thanks to the Sekai Taikai, is a noticeable improvement. While it still fights familiar issues, including repetitive storylines and a lessened focus on some ⛎of the Netflix series' brightest stars, Cobra Kai returns to the sort of hard-hitting form that made it such a fan favorite in the first place.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fallout season 2 has its first newcomer, with Macaulay Culkin hea🍷ding out to the wasteland.

As per , Culk🎶in – be🤪st known for the Home Alone series – will portray a "crazy genius-type character." Beyond that, details about the new addition to the Prime Video series are being kept firmly under wraps.

We could look tow♚ards Bethesda's RPG series for inspiration but, given the show exists alongside those games in canon, the chara🎀cter is likely to be a spin on the weird and wild figures usually found out in the wastes.

Interestingly, however, players can chance upon 'mad scientists' in Interplay's origina📖l Fallout back in 1997 – which suggests Culkin's character may yet hav☂e a role to play in a hare-brained scheme or two.

Fallout season 2 is 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:set to begin filming imminently, with series actor Leslie Uggams confirmꦕing the news in a recent interview with , while adding that her Vault Overseer character Betty has some "things up her sleeve" for the new season.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Like a Dragon is going global. The video game series, previously known as Yakuza in the West, has only grown in popularity since 2015's Yakuza 0, encompassing all manner of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:turn-based RPGs, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:secret agent brawlers, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:pirate-themed adventures. Now, it's about to be plonked i🅺n front of millions of subscriber🍷s on Prime Video.

However, Like a Dragon: Yakuza never stretches to the incredulous heights of its gaming cousin. A fairly loose adaptation of the original 2005 video game, the new Amazon series revolves around a more grounded gangster story during two time periods in Kamurochō, a fictional en🗹tertainment district in Japan.

In 1995, four teenagers from the Sunflower Orphanage steal money from a yakuza in a heist gone wrong. After being confronted by the head of the Dojima Family, Kiryu (Ryoma Takeuchi) must prove his worth in an underground fighting arena to pay off his debt, while brother-in-arms and jokester Nishikiyama (Kento Kaku) plie༺s his trade as a lowly yakuza in the Tojo Clan. The two girls – Yumi (Yumi Kawai, one of the series' standouts in the few chances she gets to shine) and Nishikyama's sister Miho (Hinano Nakayama) – are sent to becom💛e hostesses in Club Serena.

Ten years later, Kiryu – who once harbored ambitions to become the legendary 'Dragon of Dojima' – is released after a significant stretch in prison and has been branded an oyagoroshi (literally 'killer').

Despite being excommunicated from a Family led by the now-cold and calculated career criminal Nishikiyama, Kiryu is immediately thrust front and center of a conspiracy that sees 10 billion yen stolen from the Ohmi Alliance, the long-time rivals of the Tojo Clan. Suddenly, Kiryu is the only thing standing in the way of an all-out yakuza war. Worse still, an oni-masked 'Devil' is prowling the streets, murdering those linked to the case and carving a pentagꦗram onto their bodies.

If that sounds like a lot to cram into six episodes, that's because it is. Yakuza: Like a Dragon gets off to a rocky start thanks to the jarring back-and-forth between decades in its first few entries. Once the show settles into a rhythm, ho🐽wever, it allows the tangled personal drama – which is slightly by-the-numbers in places – to unspool to satisfying effect.

Interestingly,ܫ it's fans coming in from the games who will be the ones frequently wrongfooted by the story thanks to it only matching the 2005's PlayStation title's plot in terms of꧃ its broad strokes. That is, in part, due to the extended focus on the standout 1995 time period – instead of a straightforward (and forward-looking) adaptation of Kiryu's story in 2005.

The importance of filling in details of Kiryu and Nishikiyama's past is similar to something like The Last of Us in concept, if not always in best-in-class execution. By drilling down into what makes the characters tick, it al♊lows moments later in the season – and a decade ahead in their lives – to be bundled with extra emotional baggage. Whisper it, but it actually improves on the games in that respect, which tend to trade more in🦹 last-minute twists and outlandish out-of-left-field character motivations.

That approach also benefits Takeuchi's strong take on Kiryu. Given how iconic the hard-hitting yakuza is, there was always a chance that the iconic gray-and-red suit could hang a little loose on the Kamen Rider actor. What could have been a thankless task is made all the more palatable by Takeuchi's engaging, charming younger Kiryu really laying the emotional stakes out early on🐎 in the 1995-era scenes, even if the 2005 version of a righteous, straight-shooting Kiryu resembles somethi🌳ng closer to an excellent cosplay at times.

All told, I appreciated that this was an original interpretatꦇion of the character and not simply a copy. It's not the game Kiryu – and why should it be? Yakuza: Like a Dragon, if nothing else, is always confident in being its own thing.

Lost in translation

Like a Dragon: Yakuza

But not every reworking of its source material pays ✨off. Like a Dragon's game series is a uniquely bไroad church, one where nuanced character work and intense drama co-exists with goofy 'Substories' and an inexplicable mahjong addiction.

Those coming in hoping that the Prime Video series will seamlessly blend Kiryu's crusade against the criminal underworld alongside some of Like a Dragon'💜s more ridiculous elements will be left sorely disappointed. This is a pretty serious adaptation filled with excessive melodrama, especially once it sticks to the 'present day' of 2005. I would have loved to have seen some more personality bursting through the edges of the main story, but I can see why it doesn't contort itseꦰlf to fit that in.

Some characters away from Kiryu's orbit, too, are products of ꦏthe show's indecision in not knowing which parts of the original game's story to jettison and which ones to salvage.

The tongue-waving, knife-wielding favorite Majima (Munetaka Aoki) is an especially sad casualty of the slightly more restrained approach to Like a Dragon's story; he never quite fits in, nor does he leave a lasting impression beyond mere fan service. As much as it pains me to say, he probably sho💖uld have been left out to fight another day.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza

Some may be disappointed 💛by its failure to stick closely to Yakuza's more colorf꧋ul side, but that doesn't diminish the end product

The action and fight scenes, which admittedly reach i🧸ts brutal, bloodied peak during Kiryu's underground scraps, are fairly tame and awkwardly choreographed in places. Emotionally-charged showdowns later in the season also lack the blistering capital-H 'Heat' of a truly great Yakuza boss fight.

Most glaring, though, is something away from the show itself: the slip-ups and typos present in the translations of the six episodes we were given. The odd mistake here and there can be ignored, but Like a Dragon's translation is far too sloppy to overlook. There's every chance it could be fixed for release, but it's a far cry from the ste🀅llar English-language localization work that SEGA routinely achieves in the game series.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza wasn't at all what I was expecting – and that's no bad thing. Despite infrequent miscues, it just about works. Some mayꦓ be disappointed by its failure to stick closely to Yakuza's more colorful side, but that doesn't diminish the end product. Instead, it remixes aspects of the beloved Like a Dragon series into a frequently captivating drama that is only occasionally tripped up by its erratic early structural issues. That, when coupled with the groundwork laid in 1995 and a rock-solid performance from Ryoma Takeuchi as🏅 Kiryu, allows Like a Dragon: Yakuza to deliver the first strikes of an eminently watchable crime saga.

Indeed, all the pieces are now present for Like a Dragon: Yakuza to be a success on Prime Video beyond its first season, even with viewers who haven't yet taken in the majesty of Millennium Tower or run through the litter-strewn streets of Theater Squ💧are on consoles. As Kiryu might say – that's rad.

Idol murder mystery anime Oshi no Ko hits 🥂the high notes in the first trailer for its live-action Amazo🐻n adaptation.

The eight-episode series, which hits Prime Video on November 28, adapts the unique premise of 🍨Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyori's manga: after an obsessed fan of idol star Ai Hoshino kills the doctor delivering her twin children, he – and another patient – are reborn as Ai's children Aqua and Ruby.

Years later, after ꦺthat same fan kills their mother, Aqua and Ruby set about breaking into the entertainment industry – and the dog-eat-dog idol scene – to uncover a conspiracy that should lead them to their mother's murderer.

As you can imagine from♛ that setup, there is plenty of wild energy surrounding Oshi no Ko, and that's captured in the first trailer (which you can see above); it blends together the initial tragedy and later bubblegum J-Pop stylings to present something 🍸truly one-of-one.

Happily, the cast also includes 🐎a sprinkling of familiar idol talents, including former Nogizaka 46 member Asuka Saito as Ai Hoshino and former =LOVE member Nagisa Saito as Ruby Hoshino.

A sequel feature film will also be rel꧙eased in Japan on December 20. A third season of the anime has also recently been announced.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 has ♍got a new behind-the-scenes look during Netflix's Geeked Week event.

In a behin🅰d-the-scenes featurette, Buꩲggy star Jeff Ward takes fans on a set tour of season 2.

While a fair🤪 amount of the video is blurred out due to spoilers, there are some major reveals about the series' return along the way. The production designers show the designs of the Ipponmatsu Arms Store, where Zoro enters to restock, as well as unveiling some other shops too called Doskoi Panda and The Polestar Gallery. "The three shops next to the Arms Stor👍e are exactly from the manga," they explain. Elsewhere, there's a look at Twin Cape Lighthouse, teasing the introduction of Crocus in season 2. You can watch the full video above.

The first look comes as filming on One Piece season 2 is well underway with the Straw Hats gang plotting their return. We know that seaso🧔n 2 won't🍒 actually be coming out until 2025, but the new update at least gives us a taste of w♛hat to expect from the return of the anime adaptation.

The latest details also come soon after we got some new casting news for season 2 as well. Bridgerton🍃's🦩 Charithra Chandran will be playing Miss Vivi Wednesday, while ﷺ澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Futurama's Katey Sagal is Doctor Kureha. They'll be joining the main gang, including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roron🧔oa Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda also recently confirmed some key details 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:abꦚout what arcs season 2 will be adapting. In a statement shared by Netfᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚlix, he wrote: "Yes, the live-action One Piece is currently in production, with filming well underway. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> With Netflix's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 filming, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:consistently releasing casting a🦹nnouncements, it was only a matter of time before today's news ꦆfinally ꦚcame. According to the latest announcement from Netflix, One Piece season 2 has cast Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, a character that is perhaps more important than she may seem at first glance.

"Her past is shrouded in secrecy but her skills as a Baroque Works agent are unmatched," reads the official description of Miss Wednesday from Netflix's announcement. Chandran herself goes a bit further in a video shared to Instagram, revealing that Miss Wednesday also ℱjust so happens to be known as Vivi.

A photo posted by on

"I am so excited to be joining the cast of One Piece," says Chandran. "And I feel incredibly grateful to Oda-sensei for trusting me with the role of Vivi. I know how much she means to all of you, and I am going to work my hardest to do her ♒justice and make you all proud."

Spoilers follow for One Piece as a franchise based on how the manga and anime have both played out.

Casting Miss Wednesday is easily one of the biggest bits of One Piece season 2 news yet as while she is initially introduced as a member of the villainous Baroque Works, she is actually Princess Vivi of Alabasta, daughter of Nefertari Cobra (who will also be introduced in One Piece season 2, played by Sendhil Ramamurthy.) Vivi ultimately comes to be an incredibly important person to the rest of the Straw Hats, effectiv🧔ely becoming a member of the crew with one small caveat.

While this casting is perhaps the biggest to date for the upcoming season of Netflix's live-action One Piece, it certainly seems like there is still more to come with both Chopper and Nico Robin kicking around in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the material the show is adapting. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Live action series 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 has cast yet another popuﷺlar character, but the casting is not who we expected🌌 it to be.

Netꦫflix has confirmed that Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal will play ꦦDr. Kureha in season 2. The streamer announced the news on , also revealing that Mark Harelik will play Dr. Hiriluk. "From the Great Medical Land of Drum, we bring you two legends in medicine!" writes Netflix. Check out the full tweet below.

In the world of One Piece, Dr. Kureha is an older female who works on Drum Island as a doctor but is referred to as a witch by some. She is also the adoptive mother and mentor to the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates Tony Tony Choppeඣr. During the Drum Island Arc, which just so happens to be the arc season 2 is expected to follow, Dr Kureha is an ally and friend to the Straw Hat Pirates.

Although Sagal may be the highest profile casting season 2 has had so far, she was not the face fans were expecting to see take on the role as 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Jamie Lee Curtis had been fan-cast to play the groovy doctor. Sagal is best known for playing Jax’s mother in the FX biker drama, voicing Leela in Futurama, and portraying Eleanor Hale in Netflix&a💫pos;s Dead to Me.

As for Harelik, the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Presumed Innocent star will take on the eclectic role of Dr. Hiriluk (who eerily has an incredibly similar s🗹urname). Dr. Hiriluk is Dr. Kureha’s partner and adoptive father to Tony Tony Chopper.

Netflix is keeping a tight lid on plot details, but 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:we 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:expect澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: season 2 to adapt multiple arcs including the Drum Island arc and the Arabasta arc to name a few. Sagal and Harelik join the original returꦯning One Piece cast including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Lu💃ffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and more.

New cast members making their debut in season 2 include Brꦫendan Sean Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Clive Russell as Crocus, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalt🐼on, and Werner Coetser as Dorry.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Filming on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 is underway, with new details about the upcoming♔ season emerging. In a statement from creator Eiichiro Oda, story🤪 arcs, filming details, and a tease about the cast were all confirmed – with the promise of more on the horizon too.

Netflix shaꦚred the full statement from Oda, which begins: "Yes, the live-action One Piece is currently in production, with filming well underway. The story will cover Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island!"

Now, this isn’t super surprising given that we had expected that the Arabasta saga would be the main focus of season 2. This all but confirms that as well as fits in with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the casting we know about so far. Oda also teased that just like in season 1, the buck will stop with him over whether he’s happy bef🐭ore the show is released.

"Just as with last season, they've gone out of their way to promise that they won't put the show out until I'm satisfied,” he continued. “This isn't in the contract, you know. I just can't wait to see it!"

The final intriguing part of the statement hints that more news is on the way over the next few days. "The Grand Line is an even more expansive ‘World’," the statement concludes. "You may wonder, what was the inspiration behind that kingdom? How would it connect to the real world? <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> One of 🍒澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fallout's most popular Easter eggs was completely missed by the Prime Video show's creators, says makeup department 🔥head Michael Harvey.

In a new interview with , Harvey explained that when one of the show's writers, Westworld's Jonathan Nolan, first approached him about the small-screen adaptation, he told him not to "carbon copy anything" from the source material. "[He] explicitly told me [to] use the game as a reference," Harvey went on, noting that Nolan suggested he "lean into the wꦅorld" and interpret it in a new, imaginative wa💟y.

For the most part,𝓡 Harvey heeded Nolan's advice. Butꩲ when it came to one particular minor character, he couldn't help himself and had costume designer Amy Westcott doll the guy up like he was lifted straight out of the video game.

"I figured, you know what? Nobody's ever going to catch it," he told the publication. "[Nolan, who's a self-proclaimed Fallout fanatic] didn't catch it. The writers didn't catch it. But boy, Reddit caught it, and they went wild for it. They went nuts over 𒉰it, and they're like, 'We kn🐭ow exactly who that character is. We can tell you what game, what map, and what that person was.'"

Said character, it turns out, is Rink, who gets about ten seconds of screen time in 'The Past', the show's fifth episode. Rin🍸k's appearance i♍s based on Cricket's, an arms dealer players occasionally interact with outside Diamond City and Vault 81. Talk about a deep cut...

Starring the likes of Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, and Ella Purnell, Fallout takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles that has been ravaged by nuclear war. Purnell plays a Vault dweller named Lucy, while MacLachlan stars as Hank, her Overseer. Set 219 years after the global conflict in 2077, it sees Lucy, who has lived her entire life in a vault deep underground, forced to come up to theও s🎐urface for the very first time.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Henry Cavill's live-action Warhammer adaptation has hit a bit of a snag – and now the clock is tickin𝓡g for the upcoming Prime Video show.

During its annual financial report, Games Workshop, the studio behind Warhammer, reiterated that the show will not proceed unless they can come to an agreement on "creative guidelines" with Amazon (via ). 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历🐬史查询:The series💯 was first announced back in 2022, with the studio previously striking a deal with Amazon that grants the streaming giant exclusive rights to develop films and television serie🥃s that take 🅘place within the Warhammer 40k universe.

However, Games Works🌱hop said they will only work with Amazon for 12 months – beginning in December 2023 and ending in December 2024 – to "agree on creative guidelines for the films and television series to be developed by Amazon" and that things will "only proceed if the creative guidelinꦏes are mutually agreed between Games Workshop and Amazon." An agreement has not yet been reached.

In December 2023, it was oꩵfficially announced that Cavill would both executive produce and star in the series. That same month, the actor spoke about the project in an interview with , saying, "It is the greatest privilege of my professional career to have this opportunity. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> It sounds like Netflix might be filming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 and season 3 back to back.

The hugely popular live-action anime adaptation dropped on Netflix last year, and it quickly 澳洲幸𝄹运5开奖号码历史查询:broke a mജajor record for the streamer. Season 2 is highly anticipated, and, according to one of its stars, the third season💖 will be filmed straight after 💫the second installment.

"Hopefully there's a flashback scene 👍with Patty. We'll see if they flashback to it, because they're filming two seasons – season two and three – back to back starting soon,ℱ" Patty actor Brashaad Mayweather revealed in an interview with (H/T ). "So, we'll see what happens."

One Piece was renewed for another season short♏ly after its debut one dropped, though there's been ꦺno official word confirming a third installment just yet, so take this latest update with a grain of salt.

One Piece season 2 also doesn't yet have a firm release date, but there's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a reported release window for 2025. Again, thisꦿ is unconfirmed, though it does seem a pretty likely time for more to arrive.

"Without saying too much, and speaking to any new characters that we might meet, I would say a major theme that we’re working with in season 2 is the challenge of leadership," 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:co-showrunner Matt Owens has said of season 2. "From Luffy’s perspective, he’s got his crew now, and they are setting out to the Grand Line. The♊y’re doing the thing, and there are a lot of challenges that come with that responsibility. And that theme ties into some other stories and characters that I won’t give away just yet. But the challenge and leadership is a big theme for us in season 2."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Indiana Jones star Phoebe Waller-Bridge has landed a series adapta𒅌t💞ion of the popular video game Tomb Raider on Amazon Prime Video.

The project has been handed a series order from Amazon and MGM Studios with Waller-Bridge penning the show, as reported by . The news was announced by Head of the Studios Jen Salke at a company event in New York. It was first revealed to be in development back in J🅰anuary 2023.

Waller-Bridge spoke on the project: "If I could tell my teenage self this was happening I think she’d explode. Tomb Raider ha✅s been a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to be bringing it to television with such passionate collaborators. Lara Croft means a lot to me, as she does to many, and I can’t wait to go on this adventure. Bats ‘n all."

The British actor is best known for creating and starring in the highly popular BBC dark comedy Fleabag which explores the struggles of navigating modern womanhood. Waller-Bridge most recently starred across Harrison Ford in Disney’s 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny where she raided an ancient tomb of her own.

Tomb Raider, originally known as 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Lara Croft:🐼 Tomb Raider, is a video game franchise first introduced in the l🌞ate ‘90s by Core Design. The games follow a female archaeologist named Lara Croft who must solve puzzles and hunt to find ancient artifacts.

But the new series won’t be the first time the action-adventure game has been adapted. It was first brought to life back in 2001 with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Lara Croft: Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie as Croft as she raced against a secret society to find an artifact that possesses the ability to control time. The movie was followed by its sequel Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life, and then in 2018, the franchise underwent a makeover as Warner Bros. took a swing with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander.

The new series does not yet have an official synopsis, release date, or cast list, and it is not clear at this p🌞oint whether Waller-Bridge herself will be starring.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Netflix has shared the first teaser video for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece season 2 in celebration of its lead charac🐭ter’s birthday, and fans are convinced it suggests which manga arc the live-action series will follow next.

The short video, posted on , shows star Iñaki Godoy celebrating his character Monkey D. Luffܫy's birthday. "What’s up my Nakama," says Godoy in the video, adding "We are celebrating with th🅷is," pointing to a white cake shaped as a candle with a number three stuck in it. See the full video below.

It’s May 5th, NAKAMA! 🎉 Join our captain Iñaki Godoy in celebrating the greatest, coolest, and most inspiring pirate to evওer sail the Grand Line. Happy B-B-B-B🥂-Birthday, Monkey D. Luffy! 🌬️🎂

As sweet as the birthday video is, it is the number three that fans are honing in on, as they thiꦑnk it has something to do with the One Piece manga arcs, specifically, a character named Mr. 3. "MR 3 is coming woaaaah," said one fan, while another commented, "If Mr.3 will show at the next LA episodes, that means we will probably see Chopper, Bon Clay, Robin, Crocodile."

Based on the One Piece anime series and manga novels by Eiichiro Oda, season 1 follows Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they explore a world of endless oceans and islands in search of treasure, encountering some unusual characters along the way. Just as season 1 followed the East Blue arꦡc, it appears season 2 will likely focus on the Arabasta arc.

The arc features an organization known as the Baroque Works criminal syndicate which homes a range of villains all named after numbers, including Mr. 3 who has the ability to create and control candle🐻 wax, (which explains the cake). Fans will know that the first season already mentioned Baroque Works and Zoro actually killeಞd one of its members - Mr. 7. This along with Godoy’s closing comment: "They’re going to lose their minds," all but confirms the tease to season 2’s arc.

Netflix is keeping a tight lid on all things season 2 including an official plotline, release date, and cast list. However, the bulk of the main cast is expected to return with Godoy alongside Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Zoro, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Jacob Romero as Usopp. The streamer also recently 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:confirmed a 2025 release window, although an official date is൩ yet to be announced.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Netflix's live-action 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:One Piece adaptation finally has a releasꦫe window for season 2 – and we can't wait to get back on the water.

According to , One Piece season 2 is set to hit the strea🎀mer sometime in 2025. Production is set to begin in June 2024 and ෴wrap up in January 2025. This is a similar production length to season 1, which shot for six months and 22 days.

One Piece hit Netflix in August 2023 and became the number one TV series in 84 different countries around the globe during its first weekend – beating a record pr💯eviously set by Stranger Things. Based on the beloved manga and anime of the same name, the series follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a stretchy and ambitious kiddo who wants nothing more than to be King of the Pirates. Season 1 ended on a high note for Luffy and his newly assembled crew, and the finale even teased us with the introdu🎃cജtion of a fan-favorite villain.

It was recently announced that season 1 co-showrunner Steven Maeda would return as an executive producer, with Percy Jackson and the Olympians' own Joe Tracz to take his place. The second adaptation of the popular Percy Jackson novels ended up being a surprise hit for Disney Plus (and quickly became one of my favorite shows of 2023), with the streamer swiftly renewing the series for a second season. That being said,ꦫ One Piece seems to be in pretty good hands with Tracz. Matt Owens will stay on as co-showrunner.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fallout TV show may be 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:canon to the games, but what if it played a reverse Uno card and shaped Bethe🔯sda’s future Fallout titles – including Fallout 5🥂?

Well, that’s exactly what viewers of the Prime Video series have been clamoring for, but it’s for a very unexpected addition to the franchise’s lore.

"Petition to get Matt Berry voice all Mr. Handy robots in future Fallout games," the reads, referring to Matt Berry🌳’s portrayal of jobbing actor Sebastian Leslie – ไwho sold his ‘Codsworth’ character voice rights to bring the Mr. Handy line of automated robots to life.

"He🌊’s perfect. T🐲hey need to record more lines from the guy asap. He should be the voice going forward forever," one replied.

Another added: "I had some issues with the show, mostly lore stuff, but t꧅hat was just brilliant casting." One joked, "I really don’t see why we can’t have two Mr. Handy voices but rega꧅rdless I think we can all agree Matt Berry needs to be in Fallout 5 when it comes out in 2077."

Others, though, were keen to point out that the original voice actor Stephen Russell should𒈔 stay put.

"No way man! Stephen Russell is such an iconic voice actor and is so integral to Fallout, it would break my heart to see him gone in Fallout 5," one wrote. "Matt Berry was ve⛦ry good as a fun cameo but I think we should just ke🐎ep him as show exclusive."

Another viewer echoed those thoughts, remarking, "No, S🅷tephen Russell is jusꦦt THE Mr. Handy at this point."

Even if Matt Berry doesn’t appear in Fallout 5 – or any future Fallout title – there’s still a chance the actor will continue his Handy-work in a second season, 澳洲🃏幸运5开奖号码历史查询:which has recently been confirmed by Prime Video.

Per , Joe Tracz, co-executive producer of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, has joined the adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's beloved manga as executive producer and co-showrunner. Tracz is also credited as a writer on two episodes of Percy Jackson: 'I Plunge to My Dღeath' and 'We Take a Zebra to Vegas.'

So it's a dream and a joy to come aboard the Going Merry as it enters the Grand Line for an even more giant Season Two."

One Piece was a huge success for Netflix, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:beating a record held by 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stranger Things season 4 and Wednesday – two of the s🔯treamer's most popular titles ever.

"Without saying too much, and speaking to any new characters that we might meet, I would say a major theme that we’re working with in season 2 is the challenge of leadership," 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Owens has said of the second season. "From Luffy's perspective, he's got his crew now, and they are setting out to the Grand Line. They're doing the thing, and there are a lot of challenges that come with that responsibility. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> After 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:dropping a teas🍒er earlier this month, Netflix has releas☂ed the full-length trailer for Parasyte: The Grey, promising an action-packed, gory take on the hugely popular manga.

The series was directed and co-written by Train to Busan helmer Yeon☂ Sang-ho, and follows a group of parasitic creatures that fall to Earth from outer space and begin controlling humansও. "About three months ago, the larvae of this parasite took over the human brain all over the world," a voice in the trailer tells us.

Jeon So-nee stars as Jeong Su-in, a woman who manages to resist the parasite who latches onto her after a near-fatal traffic accident and is forced to coexist with the creature. Not quite human and not quite ꧃parasite, So-nee must find her place in a newly divided world. "Had we not combined as one, we both would have died," the parasite says.

Although the new show takes place in South Korea, it's based on the hit Japan-set manga Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki – and the artist is a fan of the adaptatiဣon. "I felt that the creators of Parasyte: The Grey greatly respected the original work", he said in a statement. "At the same time, I could see unique creative branches and ideas throughout the series and enjoyed ꦜit as both the original author and as a true 'audience member'. Each episode’s plot development is dynamic with a quick tempo that makes it very entertaining."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> The first reactions to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender are in, and they're pretty positive.

Adapted 🍷from the beloved animated Nickelodeon show of the same name, the eight-episode-long series follows the last surviving Airbender, a young boy named Aang, who must learn to master the four elements – water, earth, fire, and air – to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation. Alongside his newfound friends, Aang sets out on a journey to restore peace to the world and take his rightful place as the next Avatar.

Screening at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood on February 15, audiences got a sneak peek at Netflix’s newest fantasy series and the overall response is ▨proving to be quite positive.

"The first episode of Netflix's📖 Avatar: The Last Airbender is fantastic! From the opening scene, you realize that this is far better than the 2010 film. The fights are great, but the standouts are the actors. These kids FEEL like Team Avatar. A fun new take on a timeless classic," says Collider's .

IGN&🐭apos;s agrees: "The first episode is pretty incredible. It’s more dramatic, mature, and violent than the original. A great start!"

The Movie Podcast's says the first episode faced some minor hiccups, but not enough to stop his enjoyment. He tweeted: "Ep 1 dazzles with its grand scale & vibrant environments. Fans can rejoice in its faithful visual adaptation and stylistic action sequences. Yet, it slightly stumbles in cast p🤡erformances, narrative, & philosophical depth. Excited for how S1 ends!"

However, it looks like not everyone is a fan as IGN's says the Netflix adaptation did not meet expectations. "I am finally allowed to say that the first episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender is a huge letdown. Sure, the bending looks great and generally the vis🐈uals are solid, but this is a mixed bag of an adaptation."

But despite the first episode’s flaws, viewers remain hopeful for the rest of the series as viewer points out: "Some of the a𓆉cting was a little stiff and I wish it was more cinematic, but it's a solid start!"

The Netflix original, created by Albert Kim, stars Goಌrdon Cormier, Dallas James Liu, Kiawentiio Tarbell, Ian Ousley, Arden Cho, and Paul ꦏSun-Hyung Lee.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> More than 25 years after One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda had the first chapter published, the live-action adaptation has released on Netflix. The entire eight-episode first season is available to stream right now, but it's been a long road to get to this point. Even so, there's a light on the horizon as Netflix has 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:officially renewed One Piece for💃 a🌃 second season.

But ahead of the show's initial release, GamesRadar+ attended a roundtable interview with Oda where he addressed changes made for the live-action show, giving🌸 his finᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚal blessing, and exactly how involved he was in the production.

According to Oda, it's all about the characters in One Piece when it comes to the changes. "The flashbacks [...] are a very, very important part of giving backstories to our Straw Hat characters, so that the readers can ཧreally understand where these people come from, and fall in love with them," says Oda through a translator. "And so we were very, very deliberate💟 in making sure that part of their characters and their backstories were depicted fully in the adaptation. And we had a lot of conversations to make it right. But as a result, I think we ended up with very, very strong backstories to fill out these characters."

That's not to say that this was an easy or simple process. According to Oda, getting his final sign off on the pr🍃oject wasn't just down to one thing or another; it was everything.

"I cared about every detail in the show, a𝐆nd I didn't want to compromise," says Oda. "Whether it's the story, whether it's the action, I wanted to make sure that the final product is something that fans can watch and really, really, truly enjoy. And so I wanted to be the break to make sure that if things are not working out, we can stop this at any moment. That was important to me."

In fact, according to the One Piece creator,♎ it wasn't always smooth sailing. It got to the point where he even believed Netflix's One Piece would end up pushed to 2024.

"There was a time when I really thought we had to postpone this until next year or somethi🔯ng because we were getting down to the wire," he says. "May or June we were still discussing various details, and I was giving notes on a lot of different scenes, a lot of very detailed things. And I wasn't sure if it was going to be possible. But thankfully the production team responded to all of my notes, and they made it happen at a pace that surprised even me, and we were able to make this happen."

If it sounds like Oda was heavily involved in the making of the live-action show, that'sꦚ because he was. Though, according to him, it was largely in the sense that he was allowed "the final blessing on all aspects" rather than being, say, on set.

"Whether 🍒it's in the outline form, whether it's the scripts, whether it's the editing, they allow me to essentially say, 'This is good enough to go out there,'" says Oda. "And if I wasn't satisfied, this wouldn't see the light of day. And there were times when I would be very, very blunt with my notes about🐭 things that I wasn't happy with, and they responded to all of those."

Showrunner Steven Maeda echoed Oda's explanation of his involvement when 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:we spoke with him as well:

"Oda-san was very opinionated, very challenging, and constantly on us to say, 'Is that One Piece?&apos🌄; And it was really interesting for the writers and producers to kind of learn One Piece from him and from 🌞the source material, but then also to see that translated through to all our department heads as we got into production, because it's such a steep learning curve to understand what is One Piece and what is not. And I'm hoping that we got that mostly right. But it was definitely challenging for everybody, and I feel like we got it."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Producers Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements have long-term plans for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Netflix's live-action One Pie💙ce adaptation

"We have hopes for🤡 12 seasons, there’s so m🐭uch material," Adelstein told .

Clements echoed this, adding: "We’re over 1,080 chapters at this point in the manga.. We have plans with Matt Owens for how we would break multiple seasons, and I think even if we d🉐id six seasons, we would probably only use up half of the chapters of th🦂e manga. It really could go on and on and on."

The manga has been serialized in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997, and is still ongoing. The anime first premiered in Japan back iཧn 1999, and 1,072 episodes have aired since. There have also been 13 specials and 15 feature-length films.

"We’ve definitely had more thorough conversations about what we would do with Season 2 should we have the opportunity, and then less extensive conversations about w༒here we would go for season three to six," continued Clements. "The one thing I would say, we’re all unified in the parts of the manga that you just absolutely cannot eliminate, and that’s our guiding principle, the stories that we know and the characters that we know are important to the fans."

A 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历💃史查询:new villain was mysteriously introduced in the season o﷽ne finale – with showrunner S🌱teven Maeda clarifying to GamesRadar+ that this was an intentional move to set up a second season. Now we're just waiting on Netflix to announce that renewal.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> It would certainly seem that by whatever metric you want to measure it, Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece is 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:off to a roaring start. After finally releasing at the end of August, reactions have been wildly positive, and the adaptation has seemingly 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:broken the live-action anime curse.

Ahead of the show's first seasonꦓ releasing, GamesRadar+ had the opportunity to speak with showrunner Steven Maeda (who shares that🌊 honor with Matt Owens) all about getting to this point, the biggest challenge of the years-long project, working with the cast, and One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda.

The following interview has been lightly edited for clarity and length.

One Piece

GamesRadar+: How familiar were you with One Piece beforehand? And what did you do to get ready?

Steven Maeda: I was familiar with One Piece, but not having done the deep dive. I had read a lit💃tle bit, but really was not immersed in it. And so, when I first heard about the show, I thought: "Well, that's kind of interesting. Let me check that ﷽out." And I started reading, and then I kept reading, and I kept reading.

I had a pretty good idea that the first season was going to be East Blue, and so it was like, "All right, first 100 chapte♏rs." And so I just devoured them, and then I devoured them again, because there's just so much materi🅷al, and you have to get it into your head. And then, as I started working on the show, I also kept reading. And so I think, what are we now? 1089 chapters or something like that? Oda's world just keeps on growing.

There's a lot of One Piece, and there's a lot of work that goes into this! But what was the biggest challenge of this whole thing for you?

I think for me, the biggest challenge was finding the balance in the show. And🎃 what I mean by that is, the fan base is so hardcore, they are so devoted, and so dedicated to this show. So, wanting to serve that fan base and have the show feel like, "Yes, this is One Piece!" Huge challenge just in and of itself.

But then in addition to that, if you just get the fans in and no one else watches, I don't think the show does well. So,𝔍 we also had to make sure that the show is accessible for new fans and that people who are like, "One Piece, what's that?" will see the trailer, pop on it and go, "Oh, I'm in, I got to continue watching this." And so the challenge from start to finish was fin⛄ding that balance between how much fan-service to do and how close to stay to the original manga, and how much to invent and allow the show to be its own thing.

Netflix's One Piece still featuring all of the Straw Hats from the show on Going Merry

How did you go about making sure you folks had the right Luffy, et cetera? And what was it like working with the cast?

The cast was remarkable. They were really amazing. Such a disparate group of actors who came from all over the world. One of the things that was nice about the casting is that Oda-san, in one of his SBS notes from many years ago, a question was asked of him: what na𒅌tionality would the Straw Hats be if they were of our world? And he answered in excruciating detail. So ,we took that and ran with it.

Luffy, we knew we wanted to look at Brazil to South America and to Central A💃merica. We knew we wanted Zoro to be Japanese. We knew so many things that we had this leg up that Oda himself had blessed. And so we thought, "This is a great idea, it's a great opportunity."

The casting process was difficult, only because we were really searching for the right person, regardless of if they were known or not. It wasn't a typical kind of൩ star casting vehicle. And we found some people who had a lot of experience, some people who had very little.

And of course, as you mentioned with Luffy, Iñaki Godoy was such a find. If we had not been able to get him o𒀰n the show, I don't know who else could have done it. Because he is such a happy and genuine person, and what you see on screen and in interviews? That's Iñaki, and it's kind of hard to believe because he&ap♛os;s just that guy.

And it was so much fun to watch him first start to bring his personality to the role, but then really start to inhabit it and do things in the role that were not scripted, but were perfectly Luffy. It's like, he would just take off at a run to get from one place to the next. And it's like, "Why is he running? I don't know, but it's great. Let's keep doing that!👍" And so, yeah, the casting process, I feel like we got very fortunate, but also, we had good people put in front of us.

I briefly interviewed Oda yesterday, and I know from that interview and from everything that's been publicly said, he was not afraid to voice his opinion about things and that he was pretty–

[laughs]

–heavily involved. What sort of notes did he have for you? Was there anything you ended up having to like, go to bat for?

Absolutely. Look with a creator who has – he's a genius. This is his sandbox, and w𓂃e're just playing in it. That being said, eight episodes of television is not 100 chapters of manga. And so there definitely had to be some adaptation that went on. It's an adaptation. If you're doing a 1:1, I don't see the point in that.

That ♋being said, there are one-to-one moments in the show that we felt were things that needed to be as much like a manga as possible. And then there were places where we took some liberties in the hopes that it would feel like it could have happened in One Piece, even if it didn't happen exactly that way in the manga.

So yeah, Oda-san was very opinionated, very challenging, and constantly on us to say, "Is that One Piece?" And it was really interesting for the writers and produ🃏cers to kind of learn One Piece from him and from the source material, but then also to see that translated through to all our department heads as we got into production, because it's such a steep learning curve to understand what is One Piece and what is not. And I'm hoping that we got that mostly right. But it was deꦑfinitely challenging for everybody, and I feel like we got it.

It's interesting to hear your opinion on that, because, of course, there are a ton of adaptations out there. There are so many across so many different genres. And the originals of these things are great, but 1:1, if you're not being additive, what are you adding to the conversation, right?

Exactly! Exactly right. And so that was why the first thing to𝓀 do for me was… OK, how are we going to structure this, because if we have eight episodes to tell a story, that's very different from chapters of manga that don't necessarily have that same kind of built-in arc and emotionality to the eight episodes. We made a couple of changes and did some additive things that help the jeopardy, help the stakes, help the emotion of it. The way that we did flashbacks for everybody, and I was very keen on doing flashbacks for everyone, even though it was very expensive to do so. But I think it will pay off in spades.

One Piece

What's your favorite change that the live-action series makes?

I would say there are two changes that I really enjoyed and fought very hard for. One was the bringing forward of the Marine pursuit with Garp, Koby, and Helmeppo, and getting those characters who don't really come back into the story until around chapter 300ish of the manga, getting them into the story to make it fe🉐el like there were Marines on our ass in hot pursuit.

And then also, it gave an opportunity to tell the really nice version of the Garp and Luffy story where we reveal halfway through the season, "Oh my God, that's grandpa!" And also then to see the Koby / Luffy parallel as one is trying to be 🌳the best Marine he can be and the other is trying to be the best pirate he can be. That was a really nice parallel in the st෴ory – it just wasn't in the exact time of the 100 chapters.

I would say the second thing that I'm very proud of is bringing up Arlong and letting him kind of be the big bad of season one, so that season one feels like it h🐎as a structure to it that kind of begins and ends with theꦯ East Blue journey. But that also ties in Arlong as that antagonist and also wraps in the Nami story in a way that really pays off beautifully at the end of the season.

Over the years, there has to have been numerous opportunities for Oda to do something like this before. What sets this one apart, do you feel? What makes it different or better such that it gets Oda's seal of approval and has actually crossed the finish line here?

I think that this is the right time for this story to come out. Technologically, I think that visual effects have gotten to the place where, even though very expensive, are affordable for this type of show, a🦩nd television shows are being made with an eye toward a lot of time and money being spent on them to do it right so tha🥀t people aren't looking and going, "Ah, you know, the effects are shitty, that looks terrible." No one wanted that.

So, I think it was timing as far as technology was concerned, but then also, it very much feels like a story for our time that is something that needs to be told. About following your dreams – and Luffy's superpower I've always said is the ability to inspire other people's dreams, not stretching. That's there, but the fact that he is able to get you to remember the dream that you thought was in your past, and get you to believe in that and to go along with him? That is an amazing superpower, and I think somethin🀅g that needs to be out in the world right now.

You've worked on plenty of huge shows [X-Files, Lost] over the years, but it seems fair to say that, at least internationally or globally, this is by far the highest-profile work you've done.

For sure.

How do you approach showrunning something like this? Is it vastly different from other shows? Or is there plenty of overlap there?

It's vastly different from other shows. 🐻On a normal 🍃broadcast or cable schedule, you are shooting, you know, maybe your pilot is 15-to-20 days, if you're lucky. And then your episodes are seven, eight, 12 days, something like that. This show shot like a feature.

The amount of time and money we had was feature length and feature quality, very close to that anyway. It was definitely donning a new hat to be able to say, "OK." I've run shows that were tighter and more time intensive as far as what we had to get done on any given day. This was a different one. So, the page count goes way down that you have to hit on a day, which is great because then you have more time to spend wi💯th that.

The number of sets that were built by our amazing production design and construction team; I've never done anything like it before. Usually you build a set like Baratie, if you can even afford a set like Baratie, you build that and you use it for not only the full season, but you use it for the run of the show. Baratie we used for two episodes and it was torn down, and it broke my heart to see you know how much work went into putting it up and then to have it taken down. Same for Windmill Village. It was in two episodes in a flashback for Luffy – torn down. And I've never done anything like that before. So, that was🐓 a luxury and something that I think will pay off in the giant scope you see on screen.

Zoro holds several swords aloft in a still from Netflix's One Piece adaptation

What does success for the adaptation look like for you? Other than, you know, obviously a bunch of people watching it, numbers go up, that's great. But what would make this a successful live-action adaptation?

For me, I think it's again striking that right balance. The pay-off is striking that balance where the hardcore fans really are loving the show and digging the vibe – even the things that are different – and that new fans are coming in and saying, "I've never heard One Piece but I love this. I now want to read the manga, I want to see the anime." And I felt the same way when I first saw Game of Thrones. I was like, "What is this? I gotta read thi▨s!" So, it's getting both camps in together under the tent and h༒oping that everybody is happy with it.

And then I think the people I really want, and this is my own ego, but the people I really want are the ones who are naysayers who are saying: "This will never work. Live-action manga or anime adaptations don't work, they're terrible across the board." And I'v🎃e read some social media posts and things where⭕ people are like, "Dare I say I've seen the trailer now, and I'm a little hopeful for this?" I want those people to be like: "Oh, my God, I was wrong. This is possible, it is doable, and they did it on the show."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> One Piece producers say scripts 𓃲for season 2 have been written, and tha🔯t a new crop of episodes could be ready for air in a year.

“We’ve got scripts ready,” Marty Adelstein, CEO of production company Tomorrow Studios, told . "I think [Netflix is] looking at various situations about how many episodes they do, do they break them up? I think they’re trying to figure that out this week. I suspec🎶t we’ll hear from them in the next week to two weeks. There seems to be a big impetus to keep this going and to come up with a long-term strategy. So we’re just waiting for that."

Netflix is usually quick to renew its big hits, and with One Piece breaking a streaming record held previously by Wednesday andও Stranger Thing🗹s – a season 2 renewal has got to be on the way. Both the streamer and Tomorrow Studios took a big hit with the ill-received Cowboy Bebop live-action series, but have absolutely redeemed themselves by creating a faithful adaptation that caꦅptures 🌠the spirit of Eiichiro Oda's creation.

"Realis𒅌tically, hopefully, a year away, if we move very quickly, and that is a possibi💦lity," Tomorrow Studios president Becky Clements said of season 2 progress. “Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be ready for air."

The eighth and final episode of season one ended on something of a cliffhanger, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:with 🌱a new villain being mysteriously introduced before the credits rolled. Showrunne༺r Steven Maeda clarified to GamesRadar+ that was an intentional move to set up a second season.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Warning! One Piece spoilers below!

I don't expect much when it comes to live-action anime adaptations, and we have Paramount's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ghost in the Shell, Netflix's Cowboy Bebop, and the streamer's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Death Note to thank for that. That's not to say that all of them are bad, seeing as the 2006 Japanese live-action Death Note movie is a near-masterpiece, but it's⛄ the W♏estern adaptations that keep continuously missing the mark.

That being said, I had low, low expectations for Netflix's One Piece. The series was officially announced in 2020, and I tried my best to ignore it. I was still burned from 2017's Death Note, which veered off the path of Tetsuro Araki's electrifying supernatural horror-thriller and headed straight into Donnie Darko territory, reducing the impossibly cool and complex Ryuk down to nothing more than a watery version of Frank the Rabbit. When Netflix's Cowboy Bebop arrived in 2021, I felt defeated. There was no way a team of Western directors and producers would be able to take One Piece, a show (and manga) that is both so delightfully absurd and extremely heartfelt, and turn it into something that would not only appeal to both new faꦡns and old – but would also honor the magic that Eiichiro Oda so carefully created.

But they did. They did it so well, in fact, that I can't recall the last time an adaptation (anime or otherwise) was this precious with its source material. Netflix's One Piece is good. It's really good, actually. From the astonishingly spot-on casting to the comicbook-like directorial choices to the anime-accurate scene recreations, the series manages tܫo capture the heart and whimsy of One Piece all while creating a brand new show that even a new audience of non-anime fans can enjoy.

The Straw Hat Crew in Netflix's One Piece

Now, the show doesn't start off like One Piece season 1 episode 1 – we get a little bit of world-building and tone-setting before we jump into meeting Luffy. Although I was expecting that instant gratification (about a minute into the anime we see Luffy rescued by Captain Alvida's men after floating at sea), the build-up is more than worth it. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Inaki Godoy’s Luffy is delusionally fearless and overly optimistic – capturing the exact spirit of his anime counterpart. It's impossible not to smile when he's on screen, especially with the animated, over-the-top faces he pulls when using his rubber powers. Luffy's light isn't dulled down for the sake o🔯f a Western audience who might want a more 'relatable' or action-y type hero – Godoy, the directors, and the writers make sure he shines in all his goofy glory.

The best part - the strongest part - of the series is when the entire Straw Hat crew is together. Slowly, we meet each central character on their respective journeys - and it's in the very first episode that we find Zoro (Mackenyu), Luffy, and Nami (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Emily Rudd) all at the same bar... And that’s when I started yelling. It's easy to see how much time and consideration went into finding the cast for this show. It's evident in Zoro and Luffy's first one-on-one interaction, the juxtaposition of Zoro's devil-may-care attitude and Luffy's unending buoyancy. Mackenyu's Zoro is too cool for school and Rudd's Nami is fiercely independent and impossibly stubborn – and even though they butt heads at first, there's no denying the palpable chemistry between the two actors. It's when we finally meet the remaining members of the Straw Hat crew, Usopp (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Jacob Romero Gibson) and Sanji (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Taz Skylar), that the entire series comes together.

Then, of course, we have to pause and thank the studio for casting Agents of S.H.I.E.LD's Jeff Wa🌠rd as Buggy the Pirate Clown and Steven John Ward as Mihawk. Buggy's really not much to fear in the anime and manga, but Ward plays Buggy m♏ore like the Joker – a sadistic clown with an insatiable lust for blood. It's an incredible fight scene, and one that the studio decided to elevate: instead of taking place in the street of the town that Buggy destroyed, we find the Straw Hat crew trapped in a circus tent – taking the name of Buggy's ship, Big Top, literally. Choices like these make it more than clear that the show was created by fans, by people who genuinely wanted to see something they love brought to (a new) life.

And that's where other adaptations fail: they venture way too far from the source material, they don't take into consideration what makes the original material work or what fans truly love about it.♏ Instead of elevating the material, they turn it into something unrecognizable. Anime knows what it is, and the live-action should know that it's based on an anime. It's not a Scorsese film, it's not the Sopranos, it's a live-action adaptation based on a genre of animati✱on that's globally beloved for being outrageous and over-the-top.

One Piece live-action vs. Anime

Netflix's One Piece knows it's a TV show based on a cartoon about a gu🐷y made out of rubber who wants to be a pirate – and it's not trying to be anything else. They even added a Wilhelm scream to the scene where Mihawk splits a boat in half, letting the audience know that they're not shying away from th♏e campiness – they're leaning into it.

For me, the original series is a celebration of independence, of following your own arrow wherever it may point, and doing whatever it takes to make your dreams come true – even if they aren't exactly the most realistic. It's something special, and showrunners Matt Owens and Steve Maeda knew this from the moment they signed on to develop the show. Netflix's One Piece is a triumph, a labor of 🐼love, and hopefully a sign that Western adaptations🍬 are moving into the right direction.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Netflix’s ambitious live-action adaptation of One Piece has finally hit the streaming p🤡latform, and we join Luffy and the gang as they hit the high seas. However, before you turn off too quickly after episode eight, you’ll want to stay seated for an extra treat tagged onto the end. Whether it’s technically a post-credits scene is slightly up for debate, but it does give us a little tease about where this show could go next.

If you want to know a bit more about what it all means, we’ve broken down the One Piece post-credits scene and ending below. But of course, make sure you’ve watched the whole season first as we’ll be getting into spoiler territory from here on out.

Does One Piece have a post-credits scene?

One Piece

Well, kinda. At the very end of episode eight, the gang of Straw Hats a🍎re planning what they’ll do next before it cuts away to the title card. Then, just as you’re about to go into the credits, we get a special extra scene featuring a familiar face to fans of the manga…

Who is the mysterious man at the end of One Piece?

One Piece

The final scene focuses on the back of a man’s head as he looks down at Luffy’s face on a wanted poster. He burns through the image with one of his cigars as smoke billows around him. Now, while we don’t see his face, we’d know that white hair and fur-trimmed coat anywhere: it’s Smoker (ꦗAKA Captain Smoker/Smoker the White Hunter).

Fans of the manga will know that he’s a powerful marine and a fitting adversary for Luffy. His major trick is being able to transform into pure smoke, which means the team’s special skills are pretty useless against him. Smoker also has a lot of hate in his heart for pirates, meaning that if One Piece continues into seaso♏n 2, it’s likely he’ll be in hot pursuit.

Who plays Smoker in One Piece?

One Piece

So this is one thing that hasn’t yet been rꦚevealed, and we’d guess the show’s creators will keep the answer close to their chests until season 2. We did, however, get a glimpse at a younger version of the character earlier in the show. During Gold Roger's execution in Loguetown at the beginning of episode one, speculates that he appears in the background too. During the chaos of Gold Roger’s final words, a young boy with white hair can be spotted ꦫlooking concerned. We wonder if he's still in Loguetown...

The show follows Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they explore fantastical worlds in search of the ultimate treasure. Told across 10 episodes in its first season, we follow the crew of Straw Hats as they sail the high seas in its first live-action adaptation. According to tho♈se who’ve seen the first 🐈episodes of the show, it’s a pretty faithful recreation of the long-running manga too.

"I've seen Netf🌳lix's One Piece and can confirm it does the source material justice and then some," wrote . "I think anime fans and newcomers to the Grand Line will be surprised at what the show has to offer. This is NOT Cowboy Bebop, cannot stress that enough."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Netflix h⛦as scrubbed out a Game of Thrones-style error in the new trailer foꦜr its live-action One Piece series.

In the newest trailer, a quick shot cuts to a crowd seated for Roger's execution. One of the extras is wearing what looks to be an Apple Watch (or some other smart watch variety). The fantasy series takes place in a world full of magic, whimsy, pirates, and people who get stretchy superpowers from eating fruit – so the modern-da𒀰y piece of technology is a little out of place. As first pointed out by a , the trailer has now been updated with the removal.

The error is similar to the now infamous 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Game of Thrones coffee cup mistake, which involved Daenerys sitting over a Starbucks cup at Winterfell in a scene from the fourth episode of Game of Thrones' final season. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历🎃史查询:The Walking Dead season 11 had a similar mistake in which an iPhone – which doesn't ⛎exist in that world – was visible in Negan's back pocket.

Based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, the series was developed by showrunners Steve Maeda (Pan Am,✱ Conviction) and Matt Owens (Luke Cage, Agents of Shield).

The cast includes 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Inaki Godoy as Luffy, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots as Kaya, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Craig Fairbrass as Chef Zeff, Steven Ward as Mihawk, Cioma Umeala as Nojiko, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Taz Skylar as Sanji, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Emily Rudd as Nami.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]>

They say an army marches on its stomach, but in One Piece it is probably more accurate to say that the 🍸core pirate crew sails on Monkey D. Luffy's stomach. As such, it's of little surprise that a cook was high on the list of priorities when gathering his crew, and Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece found its chef in Taz Skylar, who plays Sanji in the new show.

If you're somehow not already aware, Netflix is set to release the One Piece series on August 31. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The most recent trailer serves as a good 🧔introduction to the Straw Hats, led by Monkey D. Luffy as captain,ꦦ and the stakes of the show more broadly.

Ahead of release, GamesRadar+ had the opportunity to chat with the show's Straw Hats, with each of them focusing on different aspects of the adaptation. For example, Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp) really honed in♛ on the heart at the core of the adaptation. Skylar, on the o🍨ther hand, really wants people to know he did all his own kicks – and also 🎶that there's a lot of heart.

The following interview has been lightly edited for clarity and length. Additionally, it was conducted prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which you can 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:read more about here.

GamesRadar+: One Piece, the manga, has been going forever. The anime has been going forever. But I feel like live-action anime or manga adaptations can be tough even for people who are usually into the things that are being adapted. How do you personally convince folks to give the show a go?

Taz Skylar: I just say watch it. In terms of the controversialness of it being a manga live-action and stuff li𒀰ke that, I kind of like that? I don't see that as a bad thing, because I think a lot of the things that we hold as big turning points in our opinions of things were controversial to start. So, I kind of like that🌼.

And I remember one of the directors we worked with saying to🍒 us very early in the process, "The only way we can get it wrong is by trying our hardest to get it right." As in, just everybody doing their job to their best of their ability equates to hopefully what is going to be a good job. And if it's not, at 🌄the very least everybody was acting pure of heart. That's my opinion on it.

You're playing Sanji, one of the main Straw Hat crew members. What are the three words that most define Sanji and why?

Romantic, fierce, caring. Romantic, for the obvious reasonꦛs. I think he is a romantic. He romanticizes not just other people, but he r꧂omanticizes things. He romanticizes what he does, he romanticizes the world.

An🦄d he's fierce b♊ecause he protects both his care and his romanticizing with what is a very adamant ability to protect him and others.

And caring, I think that's my main word. It's interesting that I put that one last, because if I get to define him in one word, my one word for him would be that he cares… deeply. And that is, again, whether it be things or people. It's different to romanticizing. Caring, I think, is more of… there is a genuine care that goes beyond his show of it. Even when i✤t comes to someone like Zoro as a character, he may not speak his careness into truth, but he doesn't not care. If that makes sense.

He would risk every⛎thing to protect the things that he cares about. Even if that's a dish. [laughs] Even if that's the plating of a dish on its way to a table. If he cares, he will protect it. Those are my three words.

Netflix's One Piece still featuring all of the Straw Hats from the show on Going Merry

It's really interesting to hear that, because obviously you are intimately familiar with the character, but I think anyone who has maybe a glancing interest in One Piece, what they know about Sanji is probably like… he's obsessed with women and he kicks hard. I have to ask, are you a particularly strong kicker? Obviously, there's CGI and a stunt team for the show and all of that, but did you have to go through any training for that?

Yep! I🌞 did absolutely every single one of my own kicks in the show. There is no CGI on my leg, and my stunt double was my trainer, and was very enthusiastically cheering me from the side. He was with me throughout every step of it, and I had various other trainers.

Early in the process, I decided that it was going to be… I wanted to do everything. Like, it was very much one of those jobs that if I was in for a penny, I was in for a pound. And we started with two hours a day of🧔 training when I got to South Africa. I was already training with a friend of mine here who's a taekwondo black belt. And then when I got to South Africa, we started with like two hours a day of training. It was evident it wasn't going to be enough, because I didn't really have any sort of martial arts background. I had an athletic background, but not a martial arts.

And two hours wasn't going to be enough. We upped it to four, four hours wasn't going to be enough. We upped it to five, but then that got quite difficult, because there wasn't enough trainers to train me for five hours. So, I flew my original trainer over from London, who stayed with me for about four months in South Africa in a separate Airbnb. And he wou𒉰ld just tag team, so the stunt trainers including my double would train for as many hours as they were available and could dedicate to me, and then Donnie, whi🥃ch was my other trainer's name, would tag team, he would continue training me literally until the place closed, and it was like that day in and day out.

And now when I look back on that journey, when I communicate it to people, sometimes when I say eight hours, people think I'm being figurative, or people think I'm exaggerating or – No, when I say eight hours, it's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. As in every single day. I really want that to land because i💞t hurts. [laughs] And it's not an approximation. Eight hours is, if anything, a round down because sometimes it'd be 10. And it was every single day, seven days a week – I had straps on every singl🌳e joint on my body. It was the most ridiculous process I've ever been through in my life. But! I did do every single kick, and I'm proud of it.

Netflix's One Piece still featuring Sanji

We talked about the kicking; let's talk about that other one. I feel like Sanji's, let's call it, desire for women could easily skew into creepy or problematic, and plenty of folks have had adverse reactions to his reactions over the years. How do you as an actor balance that for the screen when this is something that is definitive to the character?

I think we had a lot of conversations about how everything's a translation. Like, I had a lot of images of Sanji on my wall that were from the anime. And everything is a translation, because it can't be frame-by-frame. But I can interpret everything that he does, everything that I see that he does, and put it into what I deem to be a translation into live action, becau🌜se essentially, it's a differe𝓰nt language. It's no longer 2D, it's 3D, so like innately there is a translation there.

And it was the same with the way that he reacts or the way that he interacts with women, there was a translation to be had. And I think at the root of it, the root of any reaction is why you're reacting like that. And I think for me, it came down to caring. As in, the🦄 background that he has with women in terms of the relationship he had with his mother, the relationship he had with his sister, the way that they interacted with him as opposed to the way that his brothers and his father used to interact with him. That to me, speaks volumes about why he may have a certain relationship with women in general and how we may react to it. In the sense that I don't have to question at all why he cares so much about women. And that's what I was hanging on to throughout it.

So as opposed to trying to really meter whether it comes off as creepy or whether it comes off as flirty, I would just imbue it with, "I really care about this person." And hopefully what came out was a good translation. I won't judge the result; I'll just tell you about the proces𒆙s.

I have to ask: who is the most powerful member of the Straw Hat crew in your opinion?

[long, deep laugh] Well, it's definitely not going to be who you know I'm not going to say, but I'll go 𒁃with Luffy. I'll go with Luffy, because you know what? There is a real power in optimism, and he has that in buckets. W💦ay more than whatever someone can do with a kick, a sword, a bo staff, or a slingshot.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]>

Though you might not immediately think of "sniper" as a definite requirement for a pirate crew, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda's popular manga would seemingly disagree. Similarly, Netflix's live-action adaptation of On๊e Piece includes its own sniper in the form of𒈔 Jacob Romero Gibson, who portrays Usopp in the series.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The latest trailer foꦅr the upcoming live-action series shows off a lot of what to expect when captain Monkey D. Luffy and his crew make their initial launch on August 31. As anyone familiar with the franchise might imagine, it lo🃏oks to include a lot of recruitment.

GamesRadar+ recently spoke with the Straw Hats all about the new series ahead of the show's impending release with each of them flexing different strengths, just like a good crew should. While Emily Rudd, who portrays Nami in the show, was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:obviously well versed in the canon, for🎃 example, Gibson frequently nailed the them🎐es and core of the show.

The following interview has been lightly edited for clarity and length. Additionally, it was conducted prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which you can 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:read more about here.

GamesRadar+: Live-action adaptations of anime or manga can be tough to get into, especially for folks that have not experienced those before. How do you personally sell the show to people?

Jacob Romero Gibson: Oh my gosh, yeah. Yeah. Understandably, understandably. To me this show… I mean, it's an epic adventure story about finding your family and chasing your ꧃dreams. I think, on the level, that is something very important 𝓀that we can all get behind, and One Piece carries so much heart. The show carries so much heart. Whether you're an anime fan or not, like it's got something for you, for sure.

Obviously, you play Usopp. What are three words you'd use to describe your character, and why those words?

Oh! [l💞ong, deep laugh] I think he&apꦫos;s a dreamer. I think he has a big heart. And he's a marksman.

You brought up the marksman bit. As anyone familiar with the anime or manga will know, he's the sharpshooter of the Straw Hat crew–

Absolutely.

Are you a good shot? Was that something you had to work on?

Oh, I absolutely was immediately like, "OK, you guys need to get me a slᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚingshot, and we need a target, and let's get it poppin', because I need to 🌃be deadly with the slingshot."

So, absolutely. Had a lot of time training my marksmanship and making sure – you know, just getting my rhythm, getting my position, the way that I shoot it. And I&❀apos;m definitely pretty dangerous, so watch out.

Netflix's One Piece still featuring all of the Straw Hats from the show on Going Merry

Across the franchise, the entire length of it, the Straw Hat crew levels up or grows in various ways. And obviously, the Netflix show picks up early on in their growth, but I think it's fair to say that your character, specifically, maybe has the most personal growth over time. How did you go about laying the groundwork for that?

Man, you know, there's this thing of even though I know some of where our story goes, we're focused on East Blue in this season. And so I definitely leaned into the truth of where he's at, in that arc at that time, and still even in there, you're able to weave in these notes of what's possible for him and where he's going. And he has his triumphs and his ridiculousness, but it's exciting, and I'm very excited about whe♈re his character goes.

It sounds like you're at least somewhat familiar with the source material. Do you have a favorite arc? And if so, which one and why?

Oh, man, you know, I'm still a noob. You know, I'm not going to claim that I have the whole canon in my back pocket. But one of my favorite Usopp fights is the Alabasta Arc, so. [deep laugh] With him and Chop𒁃per and [deeper, longer laugh] just that whole scene of him riding on the hedgehog, like, so funny. So funny.

Netflix's One Piece still featuring Usopp on a boat

We talked about you working on your marksmanship, but what would you say was the biggest challenge of this whole project for you?

You know, there was so much wonder and magic throughout the production. And obviously there's tons of obstacles and unseen obstacles that yo꧒u run into on sets and we're filming in South Africa and during COVID. And so many things could be happening to make it like such𒀰 a challenging, heavy experience.

But there was so much heart involved in this production, there's so much heart involved in One Piece, the story. And to me, I feel that it's like the One Piece gods blessing us just with all this wonderful, trusting l🤪oving energy. And I'm like, the challenges seem so small in comparison to how wonderful this really all was.

It's probably fair to say that you are familiar with the franchise as a whole, more broadly. Best-selling manga of all time, right? It's got a wildly popular anime, it's been going for years and years. What is it about One Piece that is so enduring? Obviously, a lot of contemporaries have come and gone over that time.

Ye🏅s. This is something that I asked myself as well﷽ as the scale and the scope of this community came into view. What is it that's so powerful about this that has it running for so long, and has built such family behind it? And again, I really think that it's this heart, it's really the heart of the One Piece story. It's the lessons, the metaphors that are presented, the finding your family, the the supporting the chasing of dreams, the standing up for what's right.

In a way it all seems so simple and basic, but the way in which these concepts are presented throughout One Piece's story and the way they're revisited it's unbelievable, you know, it makes me tear up. I remembe♏r the first couple episodes or the first time that One Piece really got me, I'm like, "Oh my God, OK. I see what's happening here. I see where we're going in." And beyond that, it's also just deeply entertaining. Like, it's also a great time. So, it's a full-package experience for me.

Who would you say is the most powerful member of the Straw Hats?

[deep, long laugh followed by a number o🧸f vocalizations]✱ I think for politics' sake, I'm gonna have to say Usopp.

I'm two for two! I spoke to Luffy himself earlier and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:he also said Usopp.

Oh yeah!? [laughs] Yes! Absolutely. Yeah, hands down. Single-handedly. I mean, the other guys are just thꦡere for show.

We haven't seen the full show yet. We've only seen the trailers. But what do you hope people take away from the show when they are finally able to view it in full?

OK, I got a two-part answer. One, I hope that people see our show, and then go check out One Piece as it already exists. Go read the books, go watch the show. Like, fall into it. It's such a wonderful experience. My dream is – even thou𓆏gh the whole world already knows about One Piece – my dream is that someone, somewhere, somehow didn't, and this show helps them come to On𒐪e Piece.

My second answer would be to really find your crew. Find people that inspire you and that support you and that can help hold the mirror up to you so that you can believe in yourself and find your own bravery to go after your dreams, whatever they are. I think that there's a lot of good to be done in the world in just following the dreams that live in your heart. So, I💯 hope this show can help put a little fire under people.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]>

Any pirate crew worth its salt needs a navigator, and Netflix's li✨ve-action adaptation of One Piece found its own in the form of Emily Rudd, who portrays early crew member Nami in the new series.

Creator Eiichiro Oda's popular manga already has a similarly popular anime show, but Netflix's attempt marks the first serious effort at a global, live-action adaptation. In One Piece, the Straw Hat Pirates with Monkey D. Luffy as captain encounter an increasingly unusual series of friends and foes, with several joining the crew early on. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The latest trailer for Netfli🅠x's One Piece indicates that it will likely follow a similar path with many scenes directly recreated.

Ahead of the show's release on August 31, GamesRadar+ spoke with the Straw Hats all about the new series. Though Mackenyu, who portrays Zoro, was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:exceedingly straightforw♔ard in 🅰his responses just like his character would be, Rudd was much more in line with Nami herself and spoke at length all about being the boss, reading maps, and mor🎀e.

The following interview has been lightly edited for clarity and length. Additionally, it was conducted prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which you can 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:read more about here.

GamesRadar+: Obviously, the One Piece manga and anime have been around forever at this point, right? What do you feel makes One Piece so enduring?

Emily Rudd: Absolutely. First of all, Oda-sensei is an absolute genius and, you know, it's kind of hard to argue against genius. He did such an incredible, masterful job at creating a story that is not only wacky, crazy, playful, and adventurous, but also so grounded and real. It has a lot of heart. It's a story about found family. It's a story about freedom, and pursuing your dreams. And I think that that♛ is something that people can universally connect to.

This is the first real attempt at a live-action adaptation. And those are a very specific beast. Like, it's not for everybody. How do you personally pitch that to people?

I think there have been crazier shows done. And yes, it's a little bit silly and a little bit wacky. But again, I think something that we have really focused on is just the heart of the show. It's a really beautiful story. And I think it's the adventure, it's the p𝔉lay, but it's also like real stories, real people. And so, finding the grounded version of it while still maintaining the spirit of the original was something that we tried to find the balance of⭕.

Now, you're playing Nami, one of the earliest members of the Straw Hat crew to join. What are three words that most define Nami to you, and why?

I would say, clever. I think she's the brains of the bunch. You know, she's keeping the boys in line. And she's obviously a cat burglar, so she knows how to pull the wool over people's eyes. I think she's protective, not only of her crew members, but of herself, especially during the East Blue Saga. You know, she keeps some secrets, she keeps her cards close to her chest. So she's protective. And… I would say, loving, I think, even when it seems like she's doing something that could be harmful to people, the undercurrent and the true reason behi🌺nd it is love. And so I think she is a deeply caring person. So those three.

It's funny to hear you say "clever" first. In preparation for this interview, I saw someone describing Nami and Luffy's relationship as, "Luffy is the captain, but Nami is the boss." Like, that's just how that works.

Oh, totally! The way that she's the only one that controls the money, and they're✅ like, 'Nami, can I ꧂please have some allowance?' And she's like, "You get 20 Berry, enjoy," like that's it. I love it. Of course she is. Of course she's, like, mothering these people. They're just crazy, silly boys.

Nami is the crew's navigator. So, how are you at orientation? Are you pretty handy with a map or do you get lost easily?

I am actually super good at it. I'm kind of like the default person that, if we're in a new city, people are like 'hey Em, can you nav🌱igate us' because I've just… I grew up camping. And so we have the paper maps, and it&aposꦺ;s like – when I say 'camping,' I mean, like 'middle of nowhere, bathroom is a hole in the ground somewhere in the forest,'-type camping.

I was always the person that was told by my familyꦅ to navigate us. So, I guess I was born to be a naviga💫tor. I was – I was born to be Nami. Let's say it! I'll say it.

Given what we know about the adaptation, it seems fair to say that we're going to see a lot of crew member introductions early on. But it also seems like we're going to get what are easily some of the most definitive, emotional Nami arcs in the manga and anime. How daunting was that for you? Did you know going in that a particularly chunky piece of this was going to hinge on you and your character?

Oh, I was so deeply aware that this was going to hinge on me. I mean🍸, the scene that we are addressing was the one that made me a fan of the show. It was what locked me in, and I remember the fir൩st time seeing it, I was bawling. And every time I have seen or read it since, I cry. I think about it, I cry.

But that was the only scene that I think I was actually nervous for because everything else – like I said, I know I was✅ joking when I sai𓂃d I was born to play Nami, but she truly is the first character in my career that I have ever been like: 'Oh, of course. Of course it's her. Of course it's me.'

But that scene, becau💛se it means so much not on🌌ly to existing fans, but to me, that was like, 'I have to make it right. I have to make it right,' and I really think that we did. Like the entire team really kind of turned it out for that moment.

We're harping on the specific arcs that this adaptation is covering, but do you have a favorite one?

Ooh! OK, um. I like Enies Lobby. I mean, like Water Seven/Enies Lobby, obviously you gain like two of the hats, and I mean, Robinꦛ's moment at Enies Lobby… Like, I love Robin. I think if I can't choose Nami, I would choose Robin. That moment, for me, it was second to Nami's moment in the East Blue arc. So, I think that's probably why I'm into Enies Lobby.

It's funny, I think that's probably number two for me. The end of Alabasta always gets me.

Oh! Yes, of course. It&apo🎃s;s, it's close. It's close for a lot of the arcs honestly, like Oda-sensei just… he d👍oes not miss. He does not miss.

What was the biggest challenge of this whole project for you? Was it that previously mentioned moment? Or something else?

I think emotionally, that moment for Nami's stor🍬y was t꧙he hardest. But I did find the stunt work to be a new challenge. I grew up doing karate. I'm technically a black belt, but I got that when I was like 10/11? So, it's been a long time since I've touched a bo staff.

So, kind of refamiliarizing myself and in such a relatively fast-paced way, in how you film stunt sequences where you do it over and over again, and you have all of these different variables, people coming at you. I think that was a challenge I knew was going to be a challenge, but it was a fun ♔one as well.

So, I do have a particularly difficult question… Who is the most powerful member of the Straw Hat crew, in your opinion?

Ooooooh! Are we talking current?

However you want to interpret that...

OK, can I have two answers for this?

Of course, you can have two answers.

Thank you! OK, if I'm talking current, only one of the Straw Hats is one of the Four Emperors, so. [long pause] And I'm not go🐠nna say who, just in case.

But if I have to talk about our crew, I'm going to say Nami, because she's the boss, like we said. Who controls the money? Who navigates the ship? You can&🦂apos;t get anywhere without her and you can't buy anything without her, 𒅌like, you're stuck, I'm sorry.

Can't get anything done without Nami!

You cannot get anything do🌠ne witho♎ut that woman, I'm sorry.

What do you want people to take away from the show?

I think my ultimate dream is that people who were maybe reluctant to watch the anime or read the manga take a chance on our show and fall in love with it in the same way that I and millions of other people have fallen in love with One Piece, because it is so special, and I hope that existing fans feel the love that was put into it because there was a lot꧑.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]>

Netflix's upcoming live-action adaptation of One Piece has a lot of pressure to get it right. The massive franchise from creator Eiichiro Oda has been running for over 25 years at this point, and those fans have high hopes for Netflix's attempt – especially after 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the latest trailer. And there's perhaps no greater pressure on a member of the cast than Iñaki Godoy, who portrays the young man who wants to be king of 🍃the pirates, Mon🦂key D. Luffy.

Ahead of the show's release on August 31, GamesRadar+ had a chance to catch up with Godoy alongside his fellow Straw Hats all about the show, translating the manga and anime to the live-action screen, and more. Also, Godoy g☂ot real about the most powerful Straw Hat, which is obviously very important.

The following interview has been lightly edited for clarity and length. Additionally, it was conducted prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which you can 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:read more about here.

One Piece

GamesRadar+: I feel like live-action adaptations of anime or manga can be a bit of a hard sell. How do you personally pitch the show to people?

Iñaki Godoy: Well, the show is made by people who love One Piece. We love the manga, we love the anime, we think they're great. And the only thing we want to do is honor that an❀d get more people into it. We don't want to do anything else but honor 🌳the work of Mr. Oda and get more people to enjoy it too, because it's such a powerful story. And the whole world should know about it.

I mean, so many people know about One Piece already. But I want your grandpa to know what One Piece is. I want your grandma – I want everybody to know what One Piece is. And, for the people who are already fa🎐ns, to be able to relive those iconic moments. And you know, there's something really special about seeing your favorite characters as🤡 real people too. There's a special kind of magic to it.

You touched on this a little bit, but One Piece is easily the best-selling manga of all time. The anime is wildly popular. You're starring as Luffy, arguably the centerpiece of the live-action adaptation. That is a lot of pressure! Was there ever a moment for you of like, "Oh, God, I have to get this right," or…?

Of course! Of course! Of course there was a lot of pressure. There is a big responsibility to honor the work of more than 20 years of a man, you know? He's been writing this since he was 17. Not only just honor Mr. Oda, but honor the anime too. Mayumi Tanaka, she has been performing this character for so long. And the way they've been doing the anime for so long too, and there are so many people who have grown up with Luffy, and the Straw Hats and the world of One Piece. So you w🦹ant to respect that, and you want to honor that.

But if there's one thing that I have learned from One Piece, it's that even though things are challenging, you have to find a way to have fun. So yeah, there was a lot of pressure, there was a lot of anxieties, but there was also a lot of ♉fun! And there was a lot of love. And just like any adventure, it was exciting. You know, I was so excited to get to be a part of something this massive and so incredible, and it's an exciting adventure.

Monkey D. Luffy points to the horizon in One Piece live-action adaptation still

Luffy is a character that means a lot of different things to a lot of different people – characters fictionally in One Piece, people in real life – but one thing that's undeniable, I would say, is that folks are drawn to him. Why is that, do you think? What is it about him, to you, that compels people?

I think Luffy is a very kind person. And he al🥀so encourages people to follow their dreams. He doesn't want to change anyone. He just wants to enjoy life, and he will respect whatever you want to do as long as it doesn't get in the way 🍸of anybody's freedom. He encourages freedom, he's a free person himself. I think that attracts people, because we all want freedom, right? We all need that. And he has a really beautiful smile.

You know he has the ability to stretch and generally act like rubber, which I think is fairly known, but obviously you yourself do not. What was that like for you? How did you as an actor try to make that work? Like, what was going through your head as you're like, stretching your arms or blowing your tummy up?

Well, we have an amazing stunt team, and we have an amazing special effects team. And they worked to do the choreographies. So, I will do my action scenes, they will꧒ tell me, "So in this part, you have to like throw the punch, and then you have to imagine that the punch in the punch goes like all the way, then you wait like three seconds and it hits, and then you pull it back." Right?

So, for me, I just really had to use my imagination, which is just my job. I imagine things! Sometimes I'm a rubber man, sometimes I'm a chupacabra. I've had to do a lot of t🌠hings where I've had to imagine extraordinary things happening with my body. I had to use my imagination. I looked at how rubbery things moved.

And also, you know, there's already the anime Luffy; I can see the way he fights. So if I can use that as reference, then that's great. I can see that in the anime when he throws a punch, and when he pulls back, sometimes he puts⛄ hiꦡs hand right here over his bicep, and like, it kind of moves a little bit. So if I have that visual reference from the anime, I will use that too for my action scenes involving the stretchy powers. But the big people here are the special effects people and the stunt people. Those are the ones who really had the challenge to figure it out.

One Piece Straw Hats walk across a lawn in Netflix still

Now I do have one particularly difficult question here, so I'm going to preface this... In your opinion, who is the most powerful member of the Straw Hat Crew?

Oh, man. It's gotta be God D. Usopp, man. It's gotta be God D. Usopဣp. Oh⛦ yes; oh yeah.

The Sniper King? Yeah, OK.

Sniper King, army of more than 10,000 men. You know, he is the GOAT. He&🐷apos;s the GOAT. Easy question, man. Easy question. I thought you were🌞 gonna make something difficult? Easy.

To go back to One Piece more generally, we touched on this a little bit, but One Piece has been around for a very long time and has seen contemporaries come and go both in manga and anime. What is it that you think makes One Piece itself so endearing?

It's a story about a lot of things. It touches on a lot 🐎of different subjects. Mr. Oda created a story where you can visit lots of different islands and every single island can hold a different theme, different characters, different adventures; it&ap🃏os;s never just the same thing. It is a story about dreams, but it's also a story about a lot of different subjects too.

When you move forward in One Piece, there's a lot of subjects like slavery and racism and war♊, but also joy and fun and friendship. So I think that's why One Piece has been going on for so long. Every time the Straw Hats visit a different island, it's a different adventure with different themes and different characters. And I think people really enjoy seeing that. And, you know, any island they visit, the Straw Hats are already so compelling and so amazing characters. Wherever they go, it's going to be interesting to see how it goes.

Do you have a personal favorite arc? If so, what is it and why?

Oh, man. So far, I really love Enies Lobby. I think that was my favorite arc. But! But, but, but, I will say this. I think the Foxy arc… I think the Foxy arc, I think it has something 🌜special too. Iunno. I really liked the afro Luffy. I think that 🔯was really nice, but Enies Lobby is the best one for me. I really love that one, but hey, I love Foxy. I don't know, I think it's just a funny villain. I don't know… his weird nose and like his power? Man, I think he's a funny guy. I think it's a funny arc.

What do you hope people take away from the show when they are finally able to get a chance to see it in full?

I hope that anyone who sees the One Piece live action will be entertain✅ed and on the edge of their seats. But I hope that, beyond that, they also feel inspired to think about their dreams and their friends.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> One Piece creator Eiiꦦchiro Oda has released an update on the upcoming🃏 live-action Netflix series.

"I've been working with Tomorrow Studios and Netflix for quite some time now," Oda . "Even though they understand each of the characters, we obviously come from very different cultures so, when it comes to entertainment, we have different codes, skill sets, and aims. Sometimes it could be frustrating for both sides. It felt like, 'We're all trying to get to the same place so how come w♉e're not on the same wavelength?' There was even a time when I thought, 'Is a foreign production even possible?!'"

The popular anime folওlows the adventures of pirate captain Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. They search the seas for a fabled treasure called One Piece, which will allow Luffy to become the King of the Pirates. One Piece was also adapted into a hugely popular series of video games focused on the Straw Hat Pirates.

Oda continued: "Now, this might seem like it's coming out of nowhere but…we've been hard at work this entire time. And now, each and every entity involved is working in sync. We're finally here!! Considering my expected life span, I believe thi🌳s is the last chance to bring One Piece to the entire world."

The letter ends on a positive note, with Oda commenting that they're in the final process of finishing all eight episodes and tha🤡t the show will be "set𒐪ting sail very soon."

"Ever since the beginning of our partnership with Eiichiro Oda, we have been working closely to bring the Once Piece live action to you," Netflix wrote. "We share the same determination to𝔉 i🎶nvite everyone into the world of One Piece."

Langley Kirkwood will play Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots stars as Kaya, Alexander Maniatis plays Klahadore, ꩵCraig Fairbrass plays Chef Zeff, Steven Ward is Mihawk, and Cioma Umeala is Nojiko. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> We had to read this a few times just to make sure 🦩it was correct: Winnie the Pooh’s Christopher Robin is getting his own R-Rated show.

reports that the series – which is being co-produced by 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:John Wick 4 actor Shamier Anderson’s Bay Mills Studios – is a ‘live-action/animation hybrid series’. It features Christopher Robin as a ‘disillusioned New Yorker’, and it only gets weirder ♔from there.

The synopsis reads: "Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyo💫nd a drug-induced portal outside his derelict 💙apartment complex, the Hundred Acres."

"This project takes everything you think you know about Christopher Robin and Winnie the 🍰Pooh and creates something completely fresh and undeniably funny," Anderson and producing partner Stephan James said.

In the original series of books by A.A. Milne, Christopher Robin – based on the author’s real son – befriended the animals of Hundred Acre Wood, including Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore. A live-action Disney movie, starring Ewan McGregor as an adult version of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Christopher Robin, was released in 2018.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop remake won't be returning to the small screen – the streamer has canceled the series after one season, and the team behin🐻d it has voiced their disappointment.

"I truly loved working on this," co-executive producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach . "It came from a re𓃲al and pure place of respect and affection. I wish we could make what we planned for a second season, but you know what they say, men plan, god laughs. See you space cowboy…"

Mason Alexander Park, who played Gren in the series, replied: "A joy to worဣk with 🔜you."

"Rဣight back at ya!" Grillo-Marxuach responded. "Had so mucꩲh cool shit planned for S2."

Set in 2071, the series follows a ragtag group of bounty hunters chasing down criminals on the Bebop spaceship. John Cho stars as Spike Spiegel, while Mustafa Shakir is Jet Black and Daniella Pineda🐟 is Faye Valentine. It premiered on Netflix on November 19 to mixed reviews – the show'🍰s cancelation came less than three weeks after its release.

Based on the 26-part 1998 anime series and 2001 anime movie of the same name, the live-action show still had plenty more source material left to co𒈔ver. Enter Ed (played by non-binary actor Eden Perk♑ins and accompanied by Ein), who tells Spike that "we have to find the Butterfly Man", who is also referred to as "Volaju."

If you know your Cowboy Bebop lore – and have seen the Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door movie – you’ll know exactly who that is re🌼ferring to. For the rest of you, we won’t spoil it here. But be safe in the knowledge that, if the show gets picked up for a second season, Ed is likely to be the final pie⛎ce in the Bebop puzzle.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Live-action-shows ]]> A live-action Pokemon Netflix series is in the works from Lucifer showrunner Joe Hendersonﷺ, reports .

No plot details have been revealed just yet, but Henderson is reportedly attached to write and executive produce the ꧋series. The writer and producer also has credits on Hulu's 11.22.63 series, as well as Graceland and White Collar.

The project is said to be in the early stages of development, so it's tough to paint a picture of the series at this point. For what it's worth, Variety compares it to 2019's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Detective Pikachu, the live-action/animation hybrid 🃏movie starring Ryan Reynolds as ꦏthe titular sleuthing Pokemon.

To be clear, the Pokemon Netflix series is its own, independent production, but it sounds like the animation style will be similar to Detective Pikachu. At the very least, it's safe to assume the upcoming live-action Pokemon Netflix series will similarly blend live-action with animation, as it's pretty tricky to find real Pokemon roaming around the wild (unless you're playing 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Pokemon Go).

Of course, Netflix is already the streaming home for the Pokemon series, with an array of Pokemon movies and shows already featured in its catalog. There's the classic Indigo League from 1997 where you can relive Ash's fateful team-up with Pikachu, and then you've got the most recent season – the 23rd, believe it or not – Pokemon Journeys, which wrapped its run on Netflix with the final 12 episodes♓ in March. Of course, you'll also find a handful of Pokemon movies on Netflix, including Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You! and Pokemon the Mo🗹vie: The Power of Us.

I'm most interested to see whether Netflix plans to angle its live-action Pokemon series toward a new generation of Pokemon fans, i.e. kids, or toward the Millenials that grew up with Indigo League. Detective Pikachu is by far the most "mature" take we've seen The Pokemon Company let slide, but it soundsꩵ like the chances of that movie getting a sequel are slim, so it's unclear if the series wi🏅ll deal in adult themes and let Pikachu get away with saying things like "hell."

While we wait for the live-action Pokemon Netflix series, here are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Netflix sho🌜ws to watch in July 2021.
