Halo could be making a comeback "very soon," according to a well-known dataminer in the Halo community… oh, and it's for a PS♒5 game.

Halo Infinite will be four years old by the end of this year, and Microsoft has been suspiciously quiet about what used to be its marquee franchise (now that it owns Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, it's no competition). Other than 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:343 Industries rebranding🌼 itself Halo Studios last year, there hasn't been a whiff of a new game and considering how long Microsoft games take from reveal to release these days (I can't believe Fable wasn't at that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase either▨), I'm sure many assume🔥d it'd be a while before we see Master Chief again.

Well, there's been nothing official anyway, as whisperings of a new release of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo: Combat Evolved (either another remaster, or a full-blown remake) have been part of the rumor mill for a while. But after the Xbox Games Showcase ended without a trace of Halo – ou🌟tside of a brief tease about "a classic that's been with us since the beginning" coming in 2026 from Phil Spencer – the evidence started piling up.

However, Halo dataminer "gruntdotapi" has that a Halo game has now appeared and that it is specifically pegged to be a PS5 game, with no mention of a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version to be found. The user also posted that it has a new ID, ruling out the chance of it being a previously existing release like🌌 the Master Chief Collection or Halo Infinite.

While gruntdotapi doesn't have an ETA of a release date, this, combined with Phil Spencer hinting something Halo-related is on the way, leads me to believe we'll be getting this rumoured CE remaster sometime in early 2026. That or Spencer was hinting at the return of a REAL classic like Blinx the Time-Sweeper.

You simply will not guess the main character of the Psychonauts studio and Brutal Legends art director's new mind-bending adventure.

Two Halo 3 streamers became only the second group to beat the game's hardest challenge without dying once,꧂ and they did it in record time to boot.

Streamer JerValin teamed up with Reflection just to take on the classic shooter's Legendary difficulty. As if that wasn't already a hair-pulling, sweat-inducing☂ challenge, the two also turned all Skulls on and attempted a no-deaths playthrough. And, somehow, they made it through alive.

The only other known person to ever beat Halo 3's Deathless LASO (Legendary All Skulls On) challenge was Thesus, who made history and conquered the challenge in four hours and 23 minutes. JerValin and Reflection's broke that record time by a slither and rꩵeached the ending at the four-hour and one-minute mark.

Halo's Legendary difficulties are so infamous because it doesn't simply buff enemy damage - it dramatically improves how smart each and every alien baddie is. Snipers aim with near-perfect accuracy, leading to countless one-shꦗot kills. Elites won't hesitate to apply pressure and flank you. And even the normally pathetic grunts can take you out with𝓰 well placed sticky bombs.

For anyone not in the know, Skulls are the series' unlockable difficulty modifiers and are what makes LASO runs stand out. Halo 3's Skulls in particuꦆlar will disable all HUD elements, make your weapons invisible, and stop your shields from recovering unless you land melee attacks. Long story short, it's a (sometimes hilarious) nightmare.

JerValin himself is no stranger to the gruelling LASO grind, however. Two years ago, he 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:claimed a $20,000 prize by beating the same deathless LASO challenge for Halo 2, and he seemingly couldn't get enough of the nail-biting near misses. Regardℱless, the duo's new stream is well worth the watch since Halo 3 has some especially tight missions𒁃 (hello, Cortana) where maneuvering around foes is basically impossible.

If you'd like to attempt the challenge yourself, Halo: The Master Chief Collection makes it pretty simple to start since there are a number of curated 'playlists'🤡 in the c⛦ollection's menus.

Microsoft said "'Nah'" to the Halo x Doom crossover pitched for Amazon's Secret Level, but I'm crossing my fingers for Season Two

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Secret Level is an animated anthology show that reimagines a handful of iconic games - from Pac-Man and Spelunky to Armored Core and The Outer Worlds - in small, self-contained episodes, but the series' 🐼creators had originally pitched a badass-sounding crossover between Halo's Master Chief and the self-titled Doom Slayer that sadly never came to be.

"I get a 🌞little chafed when I read online, and they're like, 'Hold on, these assholes took Spelunky when they could have taken Halo?,'" series creator Tim Miller said in a chat with , before revealing that the team behind Sec🌼ret Level actually did pursue Xbox's sci-fi franchise. "Man, you think that we didn't talk to Halo or something?"

Things get even juicier when supervising director Dave Wilson chimed in to reveal that the "creative director at id Software is a good friend of ours, and so are the folks at Microsoft" - so the creative duo decided to make a "big plea" to combiඣne the two iconic shooters. "We wanted to make a Master Chief/Doom Slayer crossover episode, and I spent the whole weekend crafting this impassioned letter of my childhood."

If you've ever spent more than 10 minutes scrolling across Reddit, chances are y🍌ou've definitely seen adoring ripping and tearing it up together. Sometimes they're smashing demons. Sometimes they're massacring aliens. Metroid's Samus sometimes makes an appearance. The two are even pitted against each other in fan fiction, , ad nauseam.

So the pitch makes sense. They're both the immortal faces of two of the most important shooters in history, they're both chunky space boys, and they're both coo൲l as hell. Even the animation house behind the show, Blur Studios, has tons of experience with Xbox's FPS, having handled the ☂cinematics of Halo Wars and Halo 2 Anniversary.

But despite pitching the match made in heaven, the answer Miller and Wilson got was a plain and simple (and heartbreaking) "'Nah.'" It's not clear whether the rejection came from Doom makers id Software, Halo Studios, or the rights holder of both, Microsoft, though. Maybe that's a good thing considering 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:ho🐼w bad the PlayStation mash-up episode was

Master Chief and Doom Slayer shippers don't need to completely give up hope for a crossover just yet, though. Amazon Prime Videoꦰ rene🅺wed Secret Level for a second season just last month, where it'll keep adapting more v🐈ideo games. "Of course, we begged f♏or Half-Life," Miller also noted.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Doom: The Dark Ages is taking our beloved Slayer to a historical hellscape this year, meanwhile, a massive Halo leakage recently spilled 25 years of history onto the internet.

Despite a rocky launch year, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite🐷 is still alive and well - and one devel🀅oper is particularly grateful for its enduring legs considering just how brutal 2024 was for struggling live service games.

"Lots to be thankfu😼l for in 2024," Halo Studios' senior community manager John Junyszek to usher in the new year. "After taking a step back to reflect, it's been great to see how much Halo Infinite improved this year. In a climate where games can be shut down with little notice, I'm happy that we were able to deliver so many player-requested features while also working on other future projects."

Junyszek goes on to call out the game's Forge improvements, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:that surprising third-person mode, ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚnew maps and weapons, fairer customization, and the return of a series favorite feature: Match Composer, which lets you queue for the exact modes you want inꦡ any given playlist.

To catch you up, Halo Infinite had a stellar debut back in 2021 and even attracted more than 20 million players in its first few months, but things went downhill pretty quickly as 343 Industries (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:now in its Halo Studios era) struggled to fix what was broken, re-add missing features, or push out new post-launch content before most of its playerbase moved on. If 2024's taught us anything, it's that big publishers won't hesitate to pull the plug on a live service game if they can't immediately fund the next 30 generations of an executive's bloodline - look no further than 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Concord's shutdown - so in hindsight, Halo Infinite's relative longe𝐆vity is s꧋omewhat surprising.

But Halo Infiniteꦺ entered 2024 as the full FPS package that was promised at launch, fully feature complete and fun as hell to play. And even though Halo Studios said support for Infinite would slow down more than a year ago, the shooter just got a throwback update that deletes sprint and adds classic maps 澳洲幸运5开♎奖号码历史查询:in celebration of Halo 2's birthday.

In semi-related news, almost 100GB of classic Halo content leaked online over the holidays, including the famous 1999 demo from when the legendary FPS was a third-person Mac exclusive.

After Insomniac Games, Rockstar, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the Pokemon Company were all hit by major leaks in recent years, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Studios has now fallen victim to a similar situati🐻on where al🅠most 25 years of vaulted content from the shooter series has spilled onto the internet.

The leaks are said to have originated from Halo Studios' (formerly 343 Industries) long-running collaboration with modding team Digsite, which has been excavating scrapped content and old files before adding them back into the classic FPS games. Halo 2's infamous E3 ﷺ𓆏2003 demo was recreated and modded back into The Master Chief Collection just last month, for example, as was an Arbit𝔉er mission that never crossed the finish line two decades ago - all of which were reconstructed with o💫fficial design documents leftover from the Bungie era.

That collaboration seems to have led to this week's massive leak, which ⛦includes unfinished and cut content from those old-school Halo games, as well as a long-lost demo from the series' brief time as a tꦜhird-person shooter. Before Bungie joined Xbox's roster, Halo was first unveiled as a third-person Mac exclusive with a big Macworld demo from 1999 - that infamous demo is now fully playable on PC.

One former Digsite modder confirmed the leaks are real, but claimed that none of the current or former members of the team were responsible for the ꦦleakage. "For reference, myself and the recent departures actually ♊didn't have access to some of these files like the debug DLLS," they earlier this week. "Wild this happened but, uh, Merry Christmas fellas."

Anoth⭕er Digsite member explained that they left the modding outfit because "half of us on the team couldn't afford rent or food staying on" on social media. "While we accepted these would be volunteer positions, our hard work continued not only without pay, but with basically no studio support or resources beyond our own backs," they .

"It was made clear to us that [Halo 2] E3 was more successful than Microsoft expected, and they꧙ want us to deliver another release on that level, still with no pay, and no resources," they continued. "I do not believe the studio behind Halo will ever actually engage or support the legacy or community-interests of Halo with any si෴ncerity or authenticity for multiple reasons, partially also why we quit... (Once again, we aren't the leakers.)"

Maybe now’s the time to reminisce with our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Halo games, ranked.

After years of fans speculating the contrary, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Wars' lead designer has revealed that the 🌺lack of a certain series figurehead from the 2009 spin-off wasn't Bungie's fault after all.

"We didn’t want to use Maste𓂃r Chief," Ensemble Studios' Dave Pottinger tells of its executive decision, omitting the character from the RTS because the game "needed you to care about everybody else. We thought as soon as Master Chief shows up, that’s al🍸l anybody’s going to [care about]," he explains. This means theories that Bungie snubbed Ensemble by withholding the Master Chief license – and that the publisher objected to the game's existence in the first place – aren't true after all.

Spinning off a series renowned for delivering some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best FPS games of all time, Pottinger stressed how the strategy elements made it integral for players to keep an open mind in Halo Wars, and how a lack of Master Chief made fans less inclined to prefer the Spartans by default. Still, the choice to leave him out entirely was not taken lightly. Ensemble "had these conversations seriously with people internally ๊and externally," said Pottinger, which left the studio with a new question to parse: "How can it be an RTS? Clearly, Spartans are the best unit. Our challenge is making Spartans not the best unit, but making them an equal option [weighed against] the other units. That’s what a strategy game is.”

Having a Halo game without Mas🤪ter Chief🐬 sounds like a misstep off the cuff, but when Pottinger puts it that way, it makes perfect sense. Given the cult status the humble RTS has achieved since its initially tepid 2009 reception, and how its popularity sparked a sequel years later from Alien: Isolation developer Creative Assembly, it seems Ensemble's gamble paid off handsomely. You're off the hook this time, Bungie!

A Halo 2 level that was scrapped well bef🧔ore 💞its 2004 release has now been officially excavated, dusted off, and made playable within The Master Chief Collection.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Studios and modders The Digsite Team have been restoring lost Halo content for years now, starting off with never-before-seen maps an🌞d weapons and vehicles that original series developer Bungie left on the cutting room floor. It's fitting for a series all about exploring ancient, long abandoned alien structures, but Digsite have recently gotten even more ambitious with its goal.

For Halo 2's massive 20th anniversary, the team went back 𒁏to the game's infamous E3 2003 demo that never made it into the full game, spruced it up with existing assets and all-new ones, and then released it as a mod for Halo: The Master Chief Collection's PC version. They've now done the same with a long-lost Arbiter mission that sent humanity's alien bestie to a desolate moon impaled with the shards of the titular Halo from 🦋the first game.

"This scenario is a composite reconstruction of the 2003 mission '05_alphamoon' assembled from archived data, design documents, and our own restorative work to showcase eaꦉrly Halo 2 development," the mission's start-up screen readꦜs. "While care has been taken to present this level in a further completed state, Alpha Moon originally never developed beyond the 'Halo 1.5' phase." As such, you might bump into some unintended bugs or difficulty hikes.

That's a small price to pay for another classic Halo campaign level, though. Alpha Moon follows a formula that the series has used over and over for a reason. It starts out lowkey with the Arbiter touching down on his lonesome, equipped with nothing other than a rifle and an invisibility po꧙wer-up for some stealthy back melees. But it doesn't take long for those explosions (and explosive guitar riffs) to come in as the level soon puts you into a Covenant tank where, in classic Halo fashion, you're blasting an outdoor corridor full of little grunt gangs and cranky enemy vehicles.

Reminisce with some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Halo games of all time.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer says there are no "red lines" banning certai🉐n Microsoft games from being released on PlayStation, but it's too early to make decisions about tentpole franchises like Halo.

Speaking to , Spencer said that "the ball is moving in the right direction" when it comes to ꦗmore open game platforms. "This idea of open platforms, where users have more choice, creators have more choice, you see the momentum, right?"

Pushed for specifics, Spencer says that he's pleased with the results of Microsoft's first games to come to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch - earlier this year, Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded, and Hi-Fi Rush made the jumꦚp, while 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on PS5 a few months after its Xbox release despite original plans to the contrary. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, while also now a Microsoft game, got the multiplat𒀰form release that CoD fans have come to expect over the years.

Microsoft does seem hesitant to lift the lid on bringing more of its games to PlayStation, especially those that are its major franchises. Spencer said that "I do not see [...] red lines in our portfolio that saඣy 'thou must not'" take certain games or series multiplatform, but Bloomberg reports he also said it was too early to make any kind of decision on that front relating to the next Halo game.

We don't know much about that Halo game beyond the fact that it&apo💧s;s been in development in some form for about 2.5 years now. In that time, however, Halo Infinite developer 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:343 Industries underwent澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: a major rebrand to become꧃ Halo Studios, beginning what it said was a new chapter 👍in the series' history, following the prior work of both 343 and Bun൲gie.

Halo 2 stomped onto the scene two whole decades ago with all the heft of a 1,000 pound supersoldier, but it's already been remade in fancy fashion once via The Master Chief Collection, so its milestone birthday is instead being celebrated within a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite update that's throwing it 🐻back to 2004 (just without all the MySpace hype).

The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:newly-rebranded Halo Studios today announced that Halo Infinite would be getting a surprisingly meaty update called Operation: The Great Journey on the classic shooter's anniversary, November 5. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:That surreal third-person mode is part of the package, bu♐t what's ev🐼en more exciting is a playlist that's basically rewinding time.

The upcoming Delta Arena playlist 🐓essentially emulates classic Halo gameplay and erases the modern quirks that have flooded the series in the years since. That means you won't be able t𒀰o clamber up ledges in this playlist, there won't be any player collision, your jumps are all floaty again, and sprint - probably the series' most controversial change - is not allowed here either. It's 2004 settings in a 2024 update.

To get you even further i💮nto a Mountain Dew and Doritos mood, the update is also folding i💎n classic Halo 2 maps made by fans with Forge, the series' custom level editor. Iconic battlefields from Midship to Lockout, which gets a lush overgrown facelift, are all incoming.

"Twenty years ago, the gaming world was introduced to Halo 2, and things were never the same," the official e▨xplains. "The multiplayer experience forged friendships, propelled online gaming to the mainst🐲ream, elevated MLG to another level, and was truly a catalyst of the early gaming and online eras."

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is also getting a little love as that澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: infamous Halo 2 demo from E3 2003, the one ಌthat never made it into the final game, is ꧟being rebuilt by a group of modding excavators and put into the PC release, wildly.

Halo is entering a new chapter. Now, for anyone who's stuck with the Halo games over a significant period of time over their 23-year history, those words could be a cause for concern, depending on whether you appreciated 343 Industries' first take on the franchise in Halo 4, the muddled Halo: Guardians, or the (far better) open-world 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo: Infinite.

Either way, 343 Industries is now rebranding as 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Studios, moving development of future games to Unreal 5 (instead 𝕴of 343's Slipspace Engine), and looking to turn over a new leaf. That makes it the perfect time for a remake of the game that kicked off the entire franchise – Halo: Combat Evolved.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite review: "Halo as you've never seen it before"

Since June, there have been rumors that Microsoft is considering a remaster of the first Halo game, with eyes to launch it beyond Xbox consoles – which seems possible given the company's increasingly open-minded attitude towards platform exclusivity. It might be odd to play Halo on a souped-up 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS5 Pro, with no high-spec Xbox console upgrade seemingly 🅺planned, but it would certainly open u🀅p Master Chief's story to new audiences.

The rebranded Halo Studios has shown off artwork of Master Chief that looks suspiciously like 2001-era Halo – with a narrow visor and tighter frame than his modern counterpart – and I'd argue🍌 that this 'new chapter' would be well served by a nostalgic return to the game that start🌟ed it all.

For one, over two decades of technical improvements and console cycles are sure to make a remake feel substantially different. While we did get a 2011 remaster of Halo: CE, one that allowed you to toggle between the original and remastered graphics at your leisure, it effectively left the underlying game untouched. Enough time has 💝passed 🥀that a ground-up remake, rather than just a graphical facelift, could launch Halo: CE back into the limelight where it belongs.

Halo: CE was hugely influential as a first-person shooter, thanks to its tight gunplay, varied and engaging enemies, and a sprawling sci-fi world that was brea🅠thtaking to witness when it first launched. It's still very much playable, thanks to the Ma🍷ster Chief Collection on Xbox and PC – but what seemed limitless in 2001 can feel a little boxy in 2024, like returning home to find your childhood bedroom is smaller than you remember.

Halo Combat Evolved

I don't think fans need a split-up trilogy of games, in the vein of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 7 Remake – to me, an exhausting amount of content – and there's little danger of that, given Halo: CE's campaign can be beaten in 10 or so hours. But I'd love to see a modern take on the game that expands the world, reworks its graphics, and improves level design in some of the game's ha🤪rd-to-navigate pain points (cough, the Library, cough). Some revising of enemy, weapon and vehicle locations, along with terrain and environmental design, could also do a lot to keep the game feeling fresh for audiences old and new.

More than anything, I'd love for Halo Studios' developers to reconnect with what made the original so good, ꦅgoing back over the blueprint that launched such a wildly successful franchise. While Halo: Infinite was a great return to form, the Halo games spent years in the wilderness – when it camꦇe to their single-player campaigns, at least – and this new chapter for the franchise needs to cleave close to what Halo does best. What better way to do that than going back to where it all began?

The first level of Halo: CE gave me chills the first time I played it, as I navigated a tense, claustrophobic battle on a boarded spaceship and crash-landed onto an expansive world. Halo's franchise has had a similar journey, starting small and focused before sprawling into the platform-defining behemoth that it is today. However, as ﷺin Halo's large sandboxes and ancient megas🉐tructures, it's good to know where you're going before you rush off in a new direction.

Pass the time until Master Chief's return with these 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like Halo.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:343 Industries is now Halo Studios, and it&🌄apos;s welcoming a tidal w𝔉ave of changes to keep up with how "the consumption habits of gamers have changed."

343 Industries, and before that Bungie, were always split between actively making new Halo games while also dedicating resources to update its proprietary tech. But the newly-rebranded Halo 🧸Studios has now announced that it's ditching its own Slipspace Engine in favor of Unreal Engine 5 - a decision that'll supposedly help the team release its multiple in-development games and post-launch updates quicker than ever before to feed gamers' gaping appetit꧒es.

"We belie♎ve that the consumption habits of gamers have changed – the expectations of how fast their content is available," Halo Studios' head Pierre Hintze said in an , likely referring to the live service boom that has well oiled machines like Fortnite aꦓnd Call of Duty Warzone cranking out new stuff every week or so.

"On 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite, we were developing a tech stack that was supposed to set us up for the future, and games at t꧒he same time," Hintze continued. Obviously, Halo Infinite's slow post-launch support eventually killed its liv♉e service aspirations and probably inspired today's changes.

"The way we made Halo games before doesn't necessarily work as well for the way we want to make games for the future," COO Elizabeth van Wyck explained. "So part of the conversation we had was about how we help the team focus on making games, versus making the tools and the engines." Art director Chr🅰is Matthews put it more bluntly: "Respectfully, some components of Slipspace are almost 25 years old."

Van Wyck explained that, sure, new Halo games can now come out at a faster cadence, but the studio revamp will also change "how long it takes for us to update the game, bring new content to players, adapt to what we're seeing our players want. Part of that is [in how we build the game], but another part is the recruiting." Switching to Unreal Engine has an extra side eꦏffect: Halo Studios doesn't need to dedicate time to catching new employees up on a relatively niche, creeky engine since UE5 is pretty much the most widely-used tech in the AAA space.

Halo Studios is now working on a mysterious Project Foundry - a research project built in Unreal Engine 5 where much of the content is "expected" to make its way into future Halo games, of which there are multiple "in development right now." The series stewards are still supporting 澳🌸洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite with a third-person mode, however, and Halo 2 is finally gettin🔜g back that i💮nfamous E3 2003 demo that never made it into the final game.

The Forged Helldivers 2 mode in Halo Infinite is exactly what both games need, and it’s coming this month.

343 Industries has rebranded simply as Halo Studios to kickstart a "new chapter" in the iconic series' long history🐬, 𒈔which includes multiple games in development.

Announced at this weekend's Halo World Championship Series 2024, the series steward unveiled its plan for Master Chief's bright future. The entire team is now switching to Unreal Engine 5 and ditching its proprietary Slipspace tech. A research venture called Project Foundry is laying the groundwork for multiple Halo games. And, the stﷺudio's rebrand is more of a turning page for the series as a whole.

"If you really break Halo down, there have been two very distinct chapters," studio head Pierre Hintze, who took over after 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite's wonky launch, explains in an . "Chapter 1 – Bungie. Chapter 2 – 343 Industries. Now, I think we have an audience which is hungry for more. So we're not just going to try improve the efficiency of development, but change the recipe of how we make Halo games♛. So, we start 𓆏a new chapter today."

Halo Studios al🦂so unveiled some jazzy footage of the mysterious Project Foundry, showing ♑multiple biomes that would feel right at home on a classic Halo ring, from forests stretching to the clouds to areas infected by the Flood's spores. Master Chief and some elites also debut their updated, but still very classic, designs in the video below.

Project Foundry is a slightly unconventional announcement, especially since it's been almost thꦏree years since Halo Infinite launched, but Halo Studios is clear that everything being built right now is expected to find its way into a future Halo game of some sort.

"Everything we've made is built to the kind of standards that we need to build for the future of our games," studio art director Chris Matthews says. "We were very intentional about not stepping into tech demo territory. We built thing🐲s that we truly believe in, and the content that we've built – or at least a good percentage of it – could travel anywhere inside our games in the future if we so desire it." Hintze goes one step further to say that everything we see in Foundry is "expected to be in projects we are building, or future projects."

Previous reports claimed the studio was working on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"some form" of Halo: Combat Evolved remast𓂃er and, with how old-school the character models look now, that wouldn't be surprising. The other Halo games are anyone's guess, though th🔯e studio claims switching to Unreal Engine 5 should speed up devel🍒opment significantly since it no longer has to double up as a tech company and a game development studio. It can just focus on one.

Tons of other Halo news dropped this weekend to coincide with the esports event, too. Halo 2's infamous E3 2003 demo is꧂ making a comeback for the game's big 20th anniversary, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite 🉐is getting a third-person mode after decades of fan requests, and that cool 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Helldivers 2-ish mode made in Forge finally has a release date.

Reminisce with some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Halo games of all time.

That famous Halo 2 demo from E🎉3 2003 is finally going to be pla🧜yable later this year.

More than a year before Halo 2 hit store shelves, publisher Microsoft debuted a full-fat nine-minute demo of the game at E3 2003 that made the already hyped shooter an even bigger event. But the entire demo's mission and ideas like the winding city highways never saw the light ꦛof day and were scrapped as Bungie made💜 last minute changes to the game.

There was never any reason to think the scrapped 'Earth City' mission would rear its head again - that is, until 343 Industries and Digsite, a team focused on restoring content from the fabled FPS series, announced that the demo's contents would be making a free come♛back in Halo🐠: The Master Chief Collection via Steam workshop.

At this weekend's Halo World Championship Series 2024, 343i rev🎀ealed the demo would be revived for Halo 2's 20th anniversary on November 9🌃, alongside a first look at its remade Earth City linked below - a fun little peek at what could've been. The updated demo will also come with overhauled lip sync in the demo's cutscenes, added waypoint markers to the map in case you want to go off-script, and will obviously use assets from Halo 2's release build.

That wasn't the only exciting announcement from the Halo-centric event either. 343i unveiled an 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming ♛third-person mode for Halo Infinite, satisfying a decades-old prophecy from when Steve Jobs first revealed Halo 1 at MacWorld 1999 in all its once-third-person glory. A team of Forgers also set a date for the♔ir Helldivers 2-like mode in Halo Infinite.

Halo: Combat Evolved is reportedly getting “some form” of a remaster as Xbox considers bringing the FPS series to PlayStation.

Halo Infinite is getting a fanmade mode that has much in common with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Helldivers 2 - it's also called Helljumpers, if you h🐼ad any reservations about where the inspiration came from - and it has me itching for the dream ODST spin-off that was never greenlit.

For context, a former Halo developer revealed that series developer 343 Industries apparently shot down several spin-off pitches, including one ODST game that very much resembled this year's bigges🍨t shooter Helldivers 2. Rather than simply yearning for what could have been, a team of superforgers got to work on an unofficial version the𓆏m🎐selves.

Made in Halo Infinite's Forge - the toolset that lets players create custom maps and modes ranging 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:from Pokemon clones to mini MOBAs - Helljumpers sees four spartans drop down onto a wide open map to co𒅌mplete a series of objectives, all while waves of alien bad guys descend from above. The Forge mode now has a new trailer linked below and an October 25 release date.

Well, that looks delightful. I think 🤡I ꧒even spotted friendly fire raining from above, too.

Helldivers 2 and Halo Infinite already have so much in common. Divers and ODSTs are both modelled after Starship Troopers, for one, but this unofficial crossover makes me think that they could both learn from each other as well. A dynamic co-op mode that captures what makes Halo campaigns so epic is exactly what the iconic series needs. And Helldivers 2 could definitely use a more streamlined, distinct sandbox of weapons (and maybe even vehicles), since the community always seems 𝔉up in arms about various little nerfs and tweaks to enemies.

Either way, developer The Forge Falcons have already cut their teeth on a Zombies mode and a large-scale battle royale mode made in Halo Infinite's Forg⭕e, so I&a🌱pos;m excited to see their next effort within a few weeks.

Helljumpers is coming at the perfect time as Halo Infinite is getting a third-person mode very soon.

A 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite third-person mode is officially c൩oming to the game next month, 343 Industries has revealed.

"Experience a new way to play!" reads a tweet from the official Halo 𝓰Twitter account. "3rd Person Mode is coming to Halo Infinite this November".

The announcement is accompanied by a minut𝔍e-long gameplay video showing th꧑e third-person mode in action, and after so strongly associating Halo with the FPS genre for literal decades, it's admittedly pretty surreal to watch.

Although it certainly isn't going to be everyone's cup of te⛦a, , to the point that .

343's announcement is very light on details beyond what you can extrapolate from the gameplay footage, but from its wording it sounds like there will be at least one separate game mode for third-perso🅷n players. And it's clear from the game🃏play footage that there's a toggle you'll use to switch between perspectives, but it's unclear which modes that will be available in.

The inexplicable timing of this announcement aside, this is a major move for the Halo series, which has never had an official third-person mode in its 23-year h🐷istory outside of the transitions when you're in a turret, vehicle, or using certain campaign equipment. The Halo community is polarized by the news, with , and .

Halo: Combat Evolved came ouღt over two decades ago, but speedrunning events for the classic shooter are about to change forever thanks to newly-discovered glitches that let you play as the Flood (Halo's version of a zombie-parasite-headcrab thing.)

Former Mic🌜rosoft software engineer and Halo speedrunner who goes by Mr Monopoli has recently discovered a series of glitches that open up brand new routes in Combat Evolved. Some of this stuff, like flying the Pelican, was previously possible with mods, but Mr Monopoli has become the first person in the world to discover how to unlock these tri🃏cks without modding the game.

"Using new glitches, I've discovered a way to possess a flood infection form in Ha🌟lo 1 without mods," the speedrunner tweeted earlier this week, alongside a video of the little face-hugger bobbing about. "You can fully contro▨l it and even climb 90+ degree walls and even ceilings!" That added verticality is what I imagine will make certain levels beatable within minutes, as long as it doesn't take too long to actually trigger the Flood glitch.

Mr Monopoli also recently discovere💝d how to play as Elites in Halo: Combat Evolved's ca🤪mpaign without glitches, a year after discovering a very similar glitch in Halo 2. "Here it is being performed on the OG Xbox!"

"We're just geꦆtting started with all the cool new stuff this is going to unlock," he also tweeted this week. "I became the first person to fly a pelican on Halo 1 without mods today." The video below then shows Master Chief kind of hovering in an aircraft vehicle called the Pelican, which doesn't seem perfect usable since original developers Bungie probably never intended for it to be flyable.

Mr Monopoli performed all these glitches on an OG Xbox, sadly for anyone hoping to replicate them in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Though, in response to one comment, he says that he's "working on a more complicated method that shouldඣ work on MCC" without crashing the collection🔴.

After admitting he was a Master Chief fanboy years ago, Atelier Yumia producer says the crafting JRPG’s “biggest reference” is Halo.

A 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite dev has swiftly shut dowꦫn claims that a group of players were temporarily banned fro𒀰m the game for teabagging their opponents.

In a tweet over the weekend, Twitch streamer Aztecross 𓆏alleged that "the boys a🎶nd I just got banned on Halo Infinite for bagging." That suggestion prompted certain members of the community to reach out to long-time Halo senior community manager John Junyszek. Unfortunately for the streamer, the dev was having none of it.

"Yeah, that's not a thing," Junyszek responds, clarifying that the length of ban the group received - a 30-minute timeout - is somethingꦐ that "only happens after quitting multiple games in a short amount of time." To make Aztecross' claim even more unlikely, the dev says that you can only get a 30-minute matchmaking ban if you're already given - and waited t꧑hrough - a 10-minute timeout beforehand, "so that means there was likely a lot of quitting leading up to it."

This feels like a case of having all the receipts, but Aztecross was adamant that no one quit. They claim that four players were playing splitscreen on a (suffering) Xbox Series S, "and we didn't get a ban until after one of the games someone ba𝓰gged and we bagged bacಌk. I bagged again in the second game to test and got an even longer timeout."

A point in Aztecross' favor is that his timeout was ꦓfor "unsporting play," which Junyszek acknowledged could have been for a number of other offences, like betrayals or AFK detection. "Those are less likely to occur," h🍸e acknowledges "but could pop if you're horsing around with friends in splitscreen."

The exact reason for the two timeouts remains a my𝔍stery, but it's interesting to see Halo's community manager set the record straight - you're not getting a ban for bagging, ღuncouth as it might be.

Infinite has had a tricky life, but what are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Halo games of all time?

343 Industries, the studio in charge of all things Halo, is hiring an♈ AI lead.

To my surprise, the job description doesn't require that applicants are proficient in designing ethereally holographic companions that whisper instructions in your earpiece and sometimes manifest as a blue lady able to crack Master Chief's hardened exterior. Instead, the role is looking for someone to implement g⛎enerative AI technology into Halo's development pipeline.

343 Industries' wants someone to "help build innovative gaming experiences powered by AI, bringing the promise of new technologies to reality," and "design and implement sca👍lable and eff꧟icient solutions that leverage generative AI and ML to augment in-game experiences and to improve how we make games."

For context, machine learning technologies are pretty standard tools used in game development - adaptive difficulty or procedurally generated levels are just two examples of this. It's th🐎e "generative AI" part that's proven to be controversial, both in this specific job listing and in the wider games♌ industry as a whole.

Debates around generative AI's use in art, voice acting, music, and games struggle with♛ how the tech might affect job security, whether it can ever lead to work as 'creative' as what humans can achieve, and concerns around plagiarism, since AI needs to pull from pre-existing sources in order to output pretty much anything.

From a recent report that claimed Activision Blizzard arti꧟sts were already being replaced by AI, to scandals around 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:deepfake porn mods, the tech has no shortage of ethical concerns attached and that'll be sure to raise an eyebrow whenever it's mentioned. It should also be noted that 343 Industries was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:hit hard by layoffs in early 2023.

We won't see how this affected future Halo games for a while, though, since the studio has yet to even announce what Halo's future looks like. One rumor suggested that 343 Industries were working on 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:some form of Halo: Combat 🐼Evol💜ved remake instead of another mainline shooter, but regardless, the team seems to have largely 澳洲幸运🉐5开奖号码历史查✃询:moved on from major Halo Infinite updates while "working on brand new projects."

343 Industries' community manager seemingly shut down rumors that the studio will only be supervising the Halo franchiไse, rather than leading the d🌌evelopment of future Halo games.

Halo-centric podcaster and occasional leaker first popped up with the rumor that 343i w💜ould tackle "concept and pre-production in-house" before handing off development to other studios, citing anonymous former Halo developers as the source. The podcaster also pointed to the studio's falling headcount following layoffs in early 2023 as evidence.

After the claims were widely circulated and received a weird amount of traction, senior community manager John Junyszek responded to tweets calling the rumors "false" and factually incorrect. "It has been 🥂- and always will be - wild out there," Junyszek tweeted earlier this week, seemingly mythbusti🐲ng the rumor.

343 Industries previously released a very similar statement during those layoffs, when reports also suggested that the team would only franchise the Halo license out to other companies. 澳洲幸运ౠ5开奖号码历史查询:"Halo and Master Chief are here to stay," studio head Pierre Hintz said at the time. "343 Industries will continue to d🧜ꦐevelop Halo now and in the future, including epic stories, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great."

343 Industries is also currently lead game designers, UI designer𒉰s, systems designers, concept artists, sound engineers, and more - all roles that would indicate that at least some in-house Halo development would be taking place in the studio literally named after Halo.

The Halo House hasn't properly announced anything yet, but they are at least slowing down Halo Infinite support while "worki🐽ng on brand new projects" - right after the divisive FPS put out its best season ever. That "brand new project" might just be a remaster/remake for tಌhe original Halo: Combat Evolved, which alre♋ady got a kind of underwhelming facelift in 2011.

Master Chief's 450kg ar🍒mor wouldn't be my go-to outfit for tip toeing around aliens, but that didn't stop developer Bungie from playing around with 𝔍stealthy missions and mechanics for Halo 2 anyway, according to cut content that's now been restored.

For the unaware, Halo stewards 343 Industries have recently been working with modding o🌜utfit Digsite to excavate cut content, lost ♉maps, and other ancient Forerunner history - before polishing it all up and dumping it online for other modders to toy with. The latest takes a look at "development maps and prototype single-player levels" that were created between 2001's Halo: Combat Evolved and 2004's Halo 2.

Digsite explains that "these maps are particularly notable for the fact they were demoed behind closed doors to the gaming press in 2002 and 2003, and articles from that p♏eriod 😼reference them both directly and indirectly, but they never saw the light of day - until now!"

What immediately sent sirens blaring in my head were two scrapped single-player levels that planned for Master Chief to sneakily get around enemies, as opposed to how he normally barrels through poor ol' grunts. One such mission, Exploration, "explores stealth mechanics that were concepted and worked on early in Halo 2, but that are not supported in the retail game." The mission drops Mr 117 onto the moon where players could then "use dark areas" and alternate routes to sneak past or ambush foes. Another mission, Assault, took Chiܫef behind enemy lines where he could then raise enemy alert levels if he wasn't careful enough.

Some of those ideas kind of made their way into Halo Infinite, which had an open-world that naturally encourages you to grapple toward enemies out of nowhere. The series' camo ability always led to fun, surprise assassinations too, but with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:rumors of a Halo: Comb𓂃at Evolved r🌺emake in the works, I'm wondering if the more overt s𒀰tealthiness might get resurrected. A new report claims Xbox is considering bringing Halo to PS5 and෴ 343 Industries is working on a remaster of the first Halo game.

This comes from , who claims Xbox is considering bringing its biggest and most identifiable console exclusive to its most formidable competitor. The company has laid the framework for this already with the launch of Sea of Thieves on PS5 this year, and reports claim exclu𓂃sives like Starfield 💎and Bethesda's Indiana Jones game could also be making their way over to PlayStation. Halo, however, is widely considered the face of Xbox and its transition out of console exclusivity would have wide-ranging implications for Mic🐲rosoft's ove🍨rall gaming strategy.

There's a lot of noise around Xbox's plans for the future, and it's hard to say with any certainty the direction it's heading. Between the industry-shaking acquisitions, brutal layoffs and studio closures, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:mixed messaging 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:around platform exclusivity from its top brass, what Xbox as a brand look🍎s like in the next, say, 5-10𒀰 years is anyone's guess at this point.

The remaster is said to be in the early development stages, and as such, probably won't be revealed during 澳洲幸运5开﷽奖号码历史查询:Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase. And as the Halo PS5 thing is only a consideration at this point, it's safe to say it won't be announced during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2024 either.

What could make an appearance, however, is the rumored Xbox handheld console.

Nintendo 3DS and Wii U servers were shut down almost a month ago, but eight dedicatedﷺ players who refuse to turn off their systems are, miraculously, still online and holding🍨 on to both consoles, beating a record long held by the final Halo 2 superfans.

Nintendo officially ♓killed 3DS and Wii U servers on April 8, 2024, meaning many beloved multiplayer games - such as Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Kid Icarus Uprising, and many more - lost all online functionality forever. (Kinda.)

According to YouTuber GaffsNotLaffs, who has been tracking the server's final days and the resolute soldiers still connected, eight final players are still online across Pokemon XY, Mario Kart 7, Mario Maker, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and the original Splatoon, where one particular inkling is🉐 trapped i🎉n map purgatory for the next decade.

That means those eight players have held onto the disconnected Nintendo Network for longer than the final Halo 2 spartans did after the original Xbox Live was shut down. The Noble 14 similarly refused to turn off their OG Xbox💎es in a bid to desperately cling to their dying beloved, circa 2010, with the last sꦍuperfan holding ꩵon for just over 25 days. Congratulations to the last people on Earth to be playing the 3DS and Wii U online, who just beat a new record, 14 years in the making.

The 3DS and Wii U went out with a bang, at least, with the community gathering to celebrate both console's final days in style. A Super Mario Maker community 💫raced to finish every single level in the game, including one that was thought to have been humanly impossible. The SpotPass Archival Project also rushed to preserve over 23,000 data🅘 dumps

The Nintendo 3DS and Wii U’s real legacy is how they brought players together.

A former Halo developer recently revealed that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the team had once pit📖ched several spin-offs to management, including one ODST game that had much in common with this year's biggest release, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Helldivers 2, although none of them were greenlit. Halo Infini𓄧te Forgers are now turning that dream spin-off into ✱an unofficial reality.

Halo Infinite's Forge - the toolset that lets players build custom maps and modes - has been a rare, undisputed bright spot for the once struggling FPS, providing the game with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:over a million creations, including 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Pokemon clones, MOBAs, and ka꧒iju 🃏boss fights

One team of superforgers, the Forge Falcons, even teamed up to create unofficial modes that captured a battle royale large-scale chaos and wave-based survival. The Forge Falcons have now "a team of nearly a dozen extremely talented forgers" to create its "most ambitious proje𝕴ct" yet: a Helldivers 2-inspired mode called Helljumpers, built ℱentirely with Forge's toolkit.

The trailer above only gives us an early peek at Helljumpers' map, with a full trailer coming sometime this month and a full launch aiming for early June. The Forge mode is 🃏said to include "procedural objectives, in-game progression, upgrade systems, boss fights, extraction, drop pods, and much, much more." All the features you'd expect from Helldivers 2, then, just with Halo Infinite's wacky sandbox and alien baddies.

Comparison☂s between Halo and Helldivers have been rampant sincꦚe the latter launched earlier this year and it's not hard to see why. The relentlessly sturdy Helldivers share a ton with Halo's orbital shock drop troopers: they deploy in drop pods, battle beasts several times their size, and are both inspired by the OG Starship Troopers.

Helldivers 2's loop of furious bug squashing followed by slower, tactical maneuvering against ranged foes would suit Halo's Flood and Covenant factions perfectly. That's probably what makes Helljumpers such an exciting idea, and the failed ODST pitches so heart-breaking. Regardless, Helldivers 2's ꦰdꦛirector said the Halo comparisons are unnecessary because "we need more compassion and union."

While fans continue to add to the game, developer 343 Industries has largely dwindl🍎ed support for Halo Infinite. The studio recently ceased seasonal support for the game, instead choosing to deploy smaller updates on a more regular basis, all while 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the team works o🧜n future games in the series.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite's new maps are proving a hit, but techn🐠ical issues are souꦿring the entire thing for many players.

Halo Infinite's new Season 3: Echoes Within just launched earlier this week. Cliffhanger, Chasm, and Oasis have joined the g🎃ame's multiplayer map rotation, and so far at least, the trio is turning out to be a big🍸 hit with both newbie and veteran Halo players alike.

Takin♔g to the Halo Infinite subreddit, you can see a few examples of players praising developer 343 for the new maps. "New maps just scream classic Halo to me. Amazing," writes one Reddit user, while another adds "The new BTB map is incredible, we need more maps like that," referencing the new Big Team Battle Map, Oasis.

While the three new maps are going down a treat, the technical issues aren't. From the countless player reports we're now seeing, it looks like the Season 3 update has absolutely tanked the frame rate on consoles for some players. There are numerous reports of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Series X's 120Hz mode dropping to 60FPS, and the Xbox Series S console just crashing out of Halo Infini💧te completely.

"Can't even launch the game on PC. Tried restarting everything, validate game files, nothing," one Reddit user writes, with a number of users saying they've had the same experience. "120fps bug on Xbox is pretty bad," writes another ♓player, with others saying the 'Customization' in Halo Infinite com𒊎pletely tanks their frame rate in similar ways.

Season 3: Echoes Within is proving to be a seriously mixed bag for Halo Infiဣnite players right now. Here's hoping 343 can right the ship on the te෴chnical side before too long.

Recently, Halo Infinite's Forge mode has spawned over a million creations, a stellar number for the player-driven experience.

Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries wants 🐈you to join it in celebrating over one million Forge creations.

"One of the most exciting additions was the Forge Beta, a powerful fan-favourite toolset that Spartans have used to unleash their creativity since its inception in 🍌Halo 3. We’re happy to announce that, as of January 2, more than 1 million creations have been forged!"

The same post also cele✃brated the four "amazing community Forge creations" that were added to the Community Collection playlist earlier this month, which is reporte𝔍dly "the most popular Halo Infinite playlist since the game’s launch".

"The Halo community continues to blow us away with the breadth of its imagination and innovation, and we have many more plans for Forge, from a Mini Game mode to new map budget categories to help support your creativity," he added. "We’re so excited to see what’s created next in Forge, and can’t 🍒wait to jump into Season 3: Echoes Within with you on March 7."

After 343 Industries' studio head, Pierre Hintz, recently issued a statement confirming the studio's commitment to the Halo franchise and stating that "343 Industries will continue to develop Halo now and in the future", Microsoft then quizzed players on whether or not they are "done" with Halo Infinite.

A new Halo game is reportedly in development at 343 Industries, built on Unreal Engine and currently cod🌠enamed "Tatanka".

A report from (paywalled) suggests that with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:its recent layoffs and leadership changes, Halo developer 343 Industries is "all but starting from scratch" as it looks to build the future of the Halo se✱ries.

One major source of development headaches during Halo Infinite's production was the use of the Slipspace engine, an aging set of tools with roots that were decades old. Bloomberg's sources suggeಌst that even now, finished multiplayer modes based on popular options like Extract🐈ion and Assault have gone unreleased partly because of engine issues.

Now, 343 is reportedly moving to Unreal Engine for a new game codenamed "Tatanka", developed in partnership with support studio Certain Affinity, which "star๊ted off as a battle royale but may evolve in different directions", according to Bloomberg&apos𝓡;s sources. The report suggests that further Halo games may also be developed on Unreal, though there are concerns within the studio that the switch may poorly affect the series' gameplay.

The 澳洲🥀幸运🔜5开奖号码历史查询:name Tatanka has been rumbling around in connection to Halo with various leaks and rumors for years, and up until now had been understood as a battle royale game mode for Halo Infinite. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Cer🦩tain Affinity CEO Max Hoberman said last year that "we’re doing something unannounced, and we’re doing lead development on that unannounced thing, from conception and design. It’s something big and new for the franchise.ꦏ" Hoberman said the project had already been in development for "more than two years" even then.

Microsoft is quizzing players on whether or not they are "done" with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite.

As spotted by Twitter user Rebs Gaming, Microsoft has released a new Xbox Research survey to gauge players feeling about the latest entry in its flagship series. As the accompanying images show, the company asks, "Are you done with Halo Infinite?" Players have the ch🎉oice of responding with "Yes", "No", or "Maybe", though there doesn't appear to be any follow-up questions for those who no longer play the game, such as what made them quit or what🌠 sort of changes could be implemented to entice them back.

Other questions centre around Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries aꦑnd its interaction with the series' fanbase. Microsoft asks players if they think the developer is "listening and making changes to Halo Infinite based on community feedback" and, in a separate question, asks if the developer is "doing a good job communicating with the community".

The survey also suggests more traditional multiplayer modes could be making their way to the game. Players are asked which game modes they'd most like to 𝄹see added to Infinite, with options including Infection, Firefight, and Dominatio♍n.

While we don't know what information Microsoft has garnered from these queries, the responജses could help determine what the future ho🌳lds for Halo Infinite and how long it continues to be supported with content updates. The road to release wasn't the smoothest for the Halo series' newest entry, and the game has struggled to meet players' expectations since launching in November 2021.

Earlier this month, it was reported that 343🔴 Indu🌊stries had been heavily affected by Microsoft's latest round of layoffs after the company announced 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:plans to lay off 10,000 employees. Following the news, 343 Industries' studio🌸 head, Pierre Hintz, iss𝔉ued a statement confirming thဣat the developer remains committed to 🐟the Halo series, "343 Industries will continue to develop Halo now and in the future, including epic stories, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great," said Hintz.

"343 Industries will continue to develop Halo n🔯ow and in the future, including ep𒆙ic stories, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great."

The single-player DLC plannedꦇ for Halo Infinite has reporte🅺dly been scrapped as 343 Industries supposedly ceases "active development" of the Halo series.

This claim comes from Twitter user @ (as shared on ) who, in a lengthy thread, shed more light on the effect Microsoft's recent layoffs have had on the Halo series. According to the leaker, the plans developer 343 Industries had for Halo Infinite in 2023 remain unchanged, even after the studio was supposedly hit hard by Microsoft's latest round of layoffs.

The studio will apparently still be focusing on Halo Infinite's multiplayer after its plans for multiple campaign DLCs were scrapped. The single-player content, which was apparently planned to expand the game's narrative over months, 🍸was reportedly canceled after Bonnie Ross (former head of 343 Industries) left the company in 2022 and Pierre Hintze, along with otherಞ new key roles were filled at the studio.

It's said in the Twitter thread that the reaso𒐪n behind this cut content was due to narrative single-player content being "difficult to produce" as well as it "not offering strong player retention," and "not allowing for viable monetization for the sustainability of the studio and the teams."

Another interestin🌠g claim made in the thread is that 343 Industries will apparently soon be ceasing active game development. Instead, it's said that the studio will be responsible for coordinating the follow-up of Halo Infinite and franchising the Halo license to other studios, whilst also supporting the game's multiplayer. This is reportedly due to the Halo Infinite failing to meet its financial expectations.

These claims were later backed up by fellow Twitter user @, who quote retweeted the original thread and added: "From what I can corroborate, the below is accurate. Halo is certꦛainly not going anywhere, but to realize its potential the management structure is changing (drastically)."

It looks like the developer behind Halo Infinite, 🌺343 Industries, has been hit particularly hard by Microsoft's far-reaching round of layoffs.

reports that several employees – present and now unfortunately former – have confirmed that the studio's headcount has been sliced, which follows a long-running hiring freeze and contractor departures. Among the teams hit the hardest𒐪 is reportedly the campaign team, with studio head Pierre Hintze telling staff in an email thatꦕ "some" roles are being eliminated due to the decision to restructure elements of the group.

As part of the reshuf🎃fle, Halo veteran Joe Staten – who rejoined in 2020 to guide Infinite towards the finish line – is reportedly leaving the studio to rejoin Xbox Publishing.

Following Bloomberg's report, several former 💙and current employees took to social media to air frustrations or confirm if they were among those✱ laid off.

"The layoffs at 343 shouldn't have happened and Halo Infinite should be in a better state," one on Twitter. "The reason for both o🦄f those things is incompetent leadership up top during Halo Infinite development causing massive stress on those working hard to make Halo the best it can be."

The news follows on the heels of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Microsoft revealing plans to chop ⛦10,000 jobs, just one year a♚fter the tech behemoth announced it was acquiring Activision Blizzard for $69 billion, a company that itself employs 9,800 people according to its 2021 annual report.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella explained in a to investors and employees that the layoffs represent "less than 5% of our total employee base", and that "US-benefit-eligible employees will receive a variety of benefits, including above-market severance pay, continuing healthcare coverage for six months, continued vesting of stock awards for six months, career transition services, and 60 ♐days notice prior to termination, regardless of whether such notice is legally required. Halo developer 343 Indus😼tries has lost another senior develꦏoper.

Tom French, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite's multiplayer creativꦑe director💧 announced last night that they were moving on from 343i, saying they "couldn't be more proud of my time at 343" and that it had been a "massive honor to have been part of a game [they] loved so much".

"After over 11 and a half years on Halo, I step out of my Spartan armor for the last timওe today to head off to new adventures," French tweeted last night.

"It's been a massive honor to have been part of a game I loved so much as a player and 💧admired so much as a developer. I co𒀰uldn't be more proud of my time at 343."

Several of their colleagues stepped up to publicly wish French well, with s𓃲enior game designer David Ellis : "thank you for everything, Tom", and head of creative for Halo, Joseph Staten, : "Once a Spartan, always a Spartan. Thanks for all you've done for Halo".

The departure comes just weeks after 343 Industries lost both its lead developer on Halo Infinite’s Slipspace Engine technology, David Berger, and 343 Industries founder Bonnie Ross, who left the studio after 15 years to attend to a "family medical issue".

Ross’s role has sinc💦e been split into three parts, with production lead Pierre Hinteze taking over as studio head, head of marketing Bryan Koski becoming Halo franchise general manager, and head of business, operations, and community engagement Elizabeth Van Wyck now overseeing business and operations.

For a brief few hours, Halo Infinite fans had a way to access a prototype version of the series-favo꧒urite🌊 Infection mode. Naturally, that wasn't supposed to happen, so it has since been pulled.

Halo Infinite's grandiose Winter update is now available, finally bringing with it the series' iconic Forge creative tool. Players swiftly shuffled into the game to see what they could find before stumbling across some prototype modes that shouldn't have been there through a neಞw file-sharing system.

The discovery of modes like Infection an𝕴d Assault naturally sent players straight to Twitter and Reddit to query what was going on, though senior community manager John Junyszek has since confirmed the modes were enabled in error, and that players will hear more about their release windows when the team has whipped them into shape.

"It looks like you all got an early look at a few mode prototypes," Junyszek says to one fan on . "Since they still need plenty of work, we'll be hiding the🌄 listings - which will unfortunately invalidate any copies. When we're ready to share more about them and their release timings, we'll be sure to let you know."

Infection is a multiplayer game type that debuted in Halo 3. One team of infected players tries to convert the other 🎀survivors to their cause by slapping them with energy swords. If the survivors can last the round, they win. The mode has ౠyet to appear properly in Halo Infinite, though that hadn’t stopped players from – long before the creative tool was available, incidentally.

Assault, on the other hand, tasks one team with arming and detonating a bomb in the other team’s base, which largely involves the Sp💖artan carrying the bomb to stand around in a circle for a hot minute.

Meanwhile, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite bot bootcamp is gone, which has left players without a permanent PVE playlist.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite's bot bootcamp mode is gone as of the newly-release✱d winter update, leaving players without a permanent PVE playlist.

The mode's removal was technically announced as part of a last w🌞eek laying out the playlists which would be available after the winter update. Bot bootcamp was not among them, but since 343 Industries did not directly address the mode's removal, players held out hope that it might still somehow be part of the game. But now that the winter update has arrived, bot bootcamp is nowhere t🅺o be found.

Bot bootcamp i𒉰s billed in-game as a way to introduce players to Halo Infinite's multiplayer game mechanics, but even experienced fans continued to use it as a way to enjoy multiplayer in a lower-stress environment. It also served as a particularly easy way to grind through the game's regular challenges.

"Halo Infinite’s playlist offerings will continue to evolve and shift in response to player behavior in-game (where players spend their time) and community feedback," the devs said in last week's blog. Playlists in core and social modes are going to keep rotating on alternating weeks, so maybe bot bootcamp will return in some form sooner rather t🌄haဣn later.

The biggest addition in the winter update is Forge mode, which might end up being a workaround for players looking to compete against bots, since you can theoretically build bot matches of your own. Unfortunately, Forge doesn't currently support the same sort of matchmaking as bot bootcamp, so it won't be a replacement. Halo Infinite's Forge isn't even out yet, and players are already making some ridiculous creations in it - now that incl🌜udes the iconic opening area of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Halo YouTuber Red Nomster has been publishing videos of impressive Forge creations for months, and over the weekend, Ocarina of Time's Kokiri Forest joined the lineup. You can check out the visuals for yourself in the video below, but naturally it all looks quite a bit nicer in Halo Infinite than it did back on the Nintend♚o 64 in 1998.

It's an incredible recreation of the🍨 whole area, from Link's house to the Lost Woods. The really impressive part is that this isn't just a build - the map has its own unique gimmicks and gameplay effects. Ladders and caves have custom animations to let you climb and crawl just like in Zelda. There's a rock that rolls around the maze arena just like in the original.

There's even a stand-in for the fairy companion,﷽ Navi, who provides you with a ha𝔉ndful of quest steps in order to complete the map.

Notably, this map has water 𒀰- but Halo Infinite's Forge mode does not. The effect is achieved here wꦯith pure visual effects and trickery, as Red Nomster explains, saying that these effects alone probably drop the frame rate by around 20 frames per second.

343 Industries revealed that Halo Infinite&apos👍;s Forge maps are twice as big as those from Halo 5 in the final big video about the mode today. From 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Squid Games to the PT demo, pl🌳ayers have already been building lots of iꩵncredible creations, but Forge officially launches on November 8.

The developers at 343 Industries have brought us one final big look at the Halo Infinite𒁏 Forge, detailing the mode's initial canvases and some of the specific publishing and sharing options we'll see at launch.

When the Halo Inf꧅inite Forge launches on November 8, you'll find a file browser in the community tab of the main menu. Here, you can peruse a recommended tab highlighting 343's favorite creations, or you can browse through the most popular maps, modes, and prefabs. You'll also be able to search through tags and keywords. The devs give an example of being able to look up anything with the Eiffel Tower in it.

While the 🐓custom game browser won't launch until Season 3 next year, you'll still be able to launch your own custom games and invite friends through the normal in✤terface once Forge goes live.

The bulk of the ne💜w video🌟 focuses on creators. Forge will launch with six canvases - blank slate levels you can shape into whatever form you want. There's the desert-themed Arid, the space-y Ecliptic, the plains and mountains in Institute, the swamps and marshes of Mires, the underwater Seafloor (a perfect starting point to recreate Halo 5's Fathom), and the community-requested, completely open Void.

You can get 𓂃a quick look at all those canvases in the video below. The Infinite Forge maps will be ๊double the size of those in Halo 5 - the devs say they map out to 400x400x150 dimensions.

Every save you make while creating a map will be saved in the veꦓrsion history, with potentially hundreds or thousands of versions archived. Those will automatically be deleted after 30 days, but you'll be able to lock versions in to save them from auto-deletion and, of course, you'll be able to publish whichever version you choose.

There are also a numbe💧r of features to ensure everyone receives proper credit and attribution for their work. Every single person who has contributed to a map will keep their credit in the final release, even if they're later removed from the project. You'll also be able to decide whether or not other players are allowed to clone your map and make their own edits to it. Even if you do allow copies, the full chain of credits will still be visible.

Early Forge players have already managed to recreate 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:iconic Squid Game scenes, the PT demo, and, uh, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:150,000 bananas.

Certain Affinity, a support studio which has aided in the development of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite, says it's spent the past two years building 🐓"something big and new for the fra💮nchise."

"The biggest thing we’re doing that’s public right now," CEO Max Hoberman tells (via ), "for more than two years now we’ve been working on Halo Infinite doing something that - they’re very prescriptive about what we can say. But we’re doing something unannounced, and we’re doing lead development on that unannounced thing, from conception and design. It’s something big and new for the franchise. But I can’t say any more about it. That’s our single largest project of our three projects currently. We have close to 100 developeౠrs working on that."

Certain Affinity has been credited as a co-developer on Halo Infinity from the start, but earlier this year, the studio announced that it was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"♑deepening" its relationship with 343 Industries and "fu𒈔rther evolving Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways."

Before that, reports had attached Certain Affinity's name to a rumored battle royale mode f꧅or Halo Infinite, though even those reports were uncertain about whether the mode the studio was working on was truly a battle royale. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码𒐪历史查询:mode has been described as "newcomer-friendly" and will "hook into Halo Infinite’s upcoming Forge mode. Apparently separate from whatever Certain Affinity has been working on, Halo Infinite's battle royale-esque Last Spartan꧟ Stand🙈ing mode launched after these reports made the rounds.

Certain Affinity has developed a few original titles, but itꦗ's primarily known for supporting development on major franchises like Halo and Call of Duty. Founded by Bunﷺgie veterans, the studio's first project was the Blastacular map pack for Halo 2.

Many fans are tired of waiting for Halo Infinite's long-promised comeback.

Cut content is still being uncov⛄ered in Halo 2 as fans work with 343 to resurrect features that never made it into the classic games.

Earlier this year, that it's working with♎ modders to restore content that never made it into Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo: Combat Evolved. Now, we can finally see some of the fruits of the labor from both the fan modding community and developers alike in the video below.

For example, the video below showcases that armor, vehicles, and even weapons like a minigun cut from Halo: Combat Evolved are coming back. There are even enemy types being resurrected by the modding community and 343, including the likes of Elites using shields, and different Elites with varying body types. There's even a look at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:lost Halo 2 E3 demo, which was specifically highlighted by 343 as something that would be resurrected eaꦅrlie🅺r this year.

The new efforts have caught the eye of veteran Halo devel🍎opers like Shiek Wang, just below, who has worked on Halo since the early 2000s. As Wang points out, bringing back the cut content from Combat Evolved and Halo 2 isn't simply a matter of inserting the content into The Master Chief Collection - there's much more work to do.

Right now, we don't have a firm date on when this cut content will be playable for users in The Master Chief Collection. However, it's encouraging that the fans and 343 alike appear to be making solid progress on digging up and implementing lost content, just like the aforementioned Halo 2 E3 de🐻mo.

343 revealed earlier this year it was "澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:exploring" new options for microtransactions and in-game currency for The Master Chief collection.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite may not officially have splitscreen co-op but that hasn't stopped players ♓from figuring out how to get up to four couch co-op partners anyway.

Courtesy of a menu glitch and some kiܫnd of tech wizardry that quietly blows my mind, players have worked out how to implement local co-op that supports up to four players without impacting cut-scenes or even enemy spawns and behaviors.

As for how you can pull it off? Well, you'll need an Xbox Series S or X, an online friend,🍰 and this workaround from , which has been written up by :

  • Go to the campaign menu and load a save
  • Click on Play and get ready to quickly go to your friend list
  • As soon as "loading map" appears, go to your friend list and join a friend who's idling in the menus
  • You can then leave the fireteam
  • In the custom lobby, under server, select "offline"
  • You can now connect your other controllers and profiles
  • Click Play!

Whilst, obviously, it's not formally supported and therefore may result i🌜n some odd beꦫhavior, right now the glitch seems to work like a charm.

The latest Halo Infinite roadmap is here, and it confirms what we were dreading: Season 3 is being pushed until next year, and 343 Industries is abandoning Halo Infinite split-screen co-op altogether… which is why players are des🌱perately looking for workarounds, of course.

Alyssa's brilliant feature "Halo Infinite could be great but I'm tired of waiting" oh-so-perfec๊tly en🅠capsulates how the news makes me feel, too.

"Halo Infinite has so much potential and a passionate fan base that wants, desperately, for this game to have a shelf life as long as the others in the franchise," she says. "For a while, pl💮ay👍ers just wanted consistent updates on what was to come.

"But with so many features delayed or outright canceled, even with the latest roadmap in my hands, I have to wonder how much of it💎 will actually materialize. Will we ever get a robust Forge roll-out? Will Season 3 last just three and a half 💧months? Most importantly, will I run out of patience before this game finally feels complete?"

As for why we're not get✱ting splitscreen co-op?

"We had to make the difficult decision not to ship campaign split-screen coop, and take the sources that we would use on that and go after this list and all these other things," 343 head of creati꧒ve Joseph Staten said. Whilst he stopped short of detailing what those "other things" are, they likely include cheaters, polish, bugs, and other issues that have plagued the shooter since launch.

The latest Halo Infinite roadmap is here, and so iꦐs the now-familiar cycle of emotions provoked by an update from 343 Industries. It goes something like this: excitement at a fresh collection of Halo Infinite news, reservation as you start to parse through that news, pleasant acceptance of a few good tidbits of information, worry as some of the updates start to seem a little concerning, then disappointment once you realize this is all you're getting for the next six months to a year.

The latest was especially upsetting in that regard, as we learned that season 3 is being pushed from November of this year to March 2023 and that 343 Industries is abandoning Halo Infinite split-screen co-op altogether. Naturally, players feel like the goal posts have yet again been moved - the fact t🌊hat the couch co-op cancellation was quietly squirreled away in a 30-minute update video doesn't help either. ༒The most frustrating thing about all of this, however, is that Halo Infinite could be a great game - I just don't want to wait for all these promised improvements anymore.

RIP couch co-op

Halo Infinite campaign co-op beta

Halo 5 Guardians was the first Halo game to launch without couch co-op, with 343 scrapping the mode in part to ensure the game could reach 60fps. But a Halo game without split-screen co-op is a Halo game only in name, and fans of the franchise were vocal in their disappointment. As such, 343 Industries 🌱loudly and declaratively responded to the backlash. Studio founder and discussed what the team had learned from the debacle. "It's incredibly painful for the community and for us," she said. "It erodes trust with the community as the community is part of our world-building ♔… I would say for any FPS going forward, we will always have split-screen."

I would say for any FPS going forward, we will always have split🌳-screen

Bonnie Ross of 343 Industries in 2017

In July 2020, then-studio head Chris Lee doubled d🌟own on R🐽oss' promise, saying "we will have split-screen and we will have co-op when we launch Halo Infinite." Halo Infinite's launch was soon pushed back to 2021, and when it did launch, it did so without campaign co-op or Forge, which weᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤𒈔⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚre delayed until at least May 2022. Then, in March 2022, both modes were delayed again, with 343 admitting that Infinite's open w🌟orld was presenting "big challenges."

Players can (and should) be understanding of the rigors of game development, especially when you consider the strain of the COVID-19 pandemic🔜 and the subsequent shift to a work-from-home model. But the issue isn't with what's being provided - it's with what's being promised, and how those promises keep shifting.

Transparency

Halo Infinite campaign co-op beta

343 Industries' latest spate of updates is fairly transparent, and that's partly what's so frustrating. It's not that past updates or conversations with players have seemed to obfuscate the truth, but th🌺at the truth keeps shifting, with long gaps between each adjustment. And it's not just split-screen co-op that's been a victim of shifting goal posts, but also Forge, matchmaking, online co-op - really the entire Halo package.

While testing out the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite network co-op beta in J🎐uly, I realized that it was incredibly difficult to find people to squad up with. The Halo Discord was ignoring my requests and none of my friends had access to the beta yet, so I pinged a question over to Xbox asking whether or not the mode would have matchmaking at launch. A representative responded: "Online matchmaking will not be available with final co-op. We encourage you to continue to use the 🐓Halo LFG and the new Discord voice call feature on Xbox to find players to party up with as you continue playing the beta." This is all fine and dandy, but here's the rub: when were we going to learn that this incredibly useful feature was absent?

Then there's the issue of repeated delays when it comes to multiplayer seasons and updates in general. In April, I wrote that Halo Infinite's status highlighted the need for clear live service roadmaps, as players had grown confused and frustrated at the lack of concise information. At that point, after months of silence, we were finally told how long Season 2 would be, that campaign network🦄 co-op was coming in August, and Forge would drop in September (or maybe November, it🅷 wasn't clear). Since then, we've lost split-screen co-op entirely, network co-op and Forge were pushed to November, Season 2 was extended to almost a year, and Season 3 was pushed back five months. And still, the vagueness persists - I had to watch a 30-minute video to learn that split-screen co-op was canceled.

Good bones

Halo Infinite

The most painful part is that Halo Infinite is a good game with rock-solid gunplay and frenetic, fun multiplayer that feels like it honors the franchise. Even jumping back into the campaign a few months ago was thoroughly enjoyable, though I wish I could have done it with my partn꧙er beside me and a few empty tinnies ꦇbetween us.

Halo Infinite's better qualities are mired by inconsistent messaging and what seems to be a top-down issue, where higher-ups may be writing checks the dev team is struggling to cash. In February, I wrote that Forge would help Halo Infinite tap into a community of creators who could create new maps that would help keep online play fresh and potentially take the pressure off of the dev team. With no Forge in the mix, online play is getting stale fast, especially since we've only gotten two new maps since the game launche🉐d nearly a y𝐆ear ago.

Halo Infinite has so much potential and a passionate fan base that wants, desperately, for this game to have a shelf life as long as the others in the franchise. For a while, players just wanted consistent updates on what was to come. But with so many features delayed or outright canceled, even with the latest roadmap in my hands, I have to ꦯwonder how much of it will actually materialize. Will we ever get a robust Forge roll-out? Will Season 3 last just three and a half months? Most importantly, will I run out of patience before this game finally feels complete?

A major Halo Infinite update has quietly snuck ༺in the announcement that a split-screen co-op mode will not be happening. At all. While players can get excited about the latest Halo Infinite fall/winter roadmap, a video accompanying the announcement from 343 Industries buries some not-so-great information within it.

At the 11:46 mark in the video, 343 head of creative Joseph Staten looks to the camera and says, "We had to make the difficult decision not to ship campaign split-screen coop, andꦫ take the sources that we would use on that and go after this list and all t💖hese other things."

The list Staten is referring to includes cracking down on cheaters, increasing stability and polish, sorting out multiplayer performance issues, and more. The 30-minute long video adopts 343 Industries' more recent push for transparency when it comes to 💟updates and realistic roadmaps, something that players seem to be welcoming with open arms. However, it's disconcerting to have something we've long been promised quietly canceled in the middle💃 of a lengthy update video.

And when you consider the conflicting information 343 Industries has given players since long before launch, it's even more frustrating. Back in July 2020, the studio promised Halo Infinite would have split-screen co-op at lau💫nch. And while a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查❀询:Halo Infinite network camp♛aign co-op beta ▨was available for players earlier in the summer, it was never made clear until just now that split-screen co-op was off the table.

The rest of the Halo Infinite roadmap confirms that a Forge beta and campaign network co-op will come in the winter update which ൩will run from November 8 to March 7. A new season, Halo Infinite: Echoes Within, will kick off March 7 and run until June 27 of next year.

Xbox suggests using Discord for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite campaign co-op when it finally drops.

A 343 Industries employee thinks Halo Infinite Forge will "change the game forever" whe🦩n it finally drops.

Halo Infinite esports and viewership lead Tahir &apo🐼s;Tashi' Hasandjekic , who was lamenting the lack of content in Halo Infinite.

"I'm just sitting here sad thinking about Halo: Infinite. The gameplay was really fun but man. It just had NOTHIജNG. N💜 O T H I N G. It hurts to say now and I’m sorry if that offends anyone. But seriously, my favorite game series of all-time was just so poorly handled. Goodnight," wrote Dunlop. Tashi responded with "stay tuned - big stuff on the way."

After Dunlop pointed out that decisions from the top need to be "looked at," Tashi agreed, before promising that Forge would be the injecti꧂on of content and excitement players need.

The highly sought-after Forge mode is supposed to get a beta version sometime before the end of Halo season two, with a full version releasing sometime during season three. We've already seen some wild fan builds like a P.T demo, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码🥃历史查询:Squid Game's Red🥃 Light, Green Light, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a map made out of 150,000 bananas, ♊but the average Halo Infinite player wants to get their hands on ಞForge.

Back in February, I wrote that Halo Infinite needs to tap into💟 its community of creators, and Forge is the way to do it. Not much has changed since then. The lack of map options and new modes is disheartening for die-hard Halo fans, and Forge can solve the problem. It's clear that the team at 343 Industries feels the same way, but now we just need to see the goods. At least Forge doesn't seem too far away anymore.

Xbox suggests using Discord for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite campaign co-op.

How many bananas can you stuff into a map on Halo Infinite’s upcoming Forge mode? According to one player, 149,612 of t🍷hem at least, but only if you get creative.

M🍸ap creator – an appropriate name – explains on YouTube that they started the build with the express purpose of finding out how many baౠnanas they could place into a Forge build. They swiftly hit a roadblock as placing 900 crates crashed their game, so they ended up stitching together four builds with 850 banana boxes each to make their build. In case you were wondering, each crate has 44 bananas, which is how we arrive at the total number of fruit.

“While all the Einsteins were out there pushing the limits of Halo Infinite forge with their big brains, I was over here stacking bananas like a pilꦑgrim,” they say. “I almost lost my mind with all the crashes.”

If 🧜you’d like to see the build yourself, alongside fanart of Master Chief with various bananas of differing size🍬s, you can check out the video below:

343 Industries has outlined what's coming up in Halo Infinite'༒s next Drop Pod update, which is scheduled to release on August 9♛.

In a new , the studio behind 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite confirmed that it is simplifying helmet customization but allowing all visors to work on all cores, even though previously, they were spread ꧂across the five armor cores.

Following fan ꦫfeedback - and despite "some complexities" -  the update will also allow "certain" Mark VII helmet attachments to be worn across multiple Mark VII helmets. And while not every Mark VII helmet can be used "without clipping awkwardly or large gaps", "the total number of [customization] options has been greatly increased".

That's not all, either. More ranked playlists 🤡are on the way, starting with Ranked Doubles, which will l🔜aunch alongside a CSR reset two weeks after the Drop Pod's release. A social Team Doubles playlist will also be available.

"We’ll monitor the health of Ranked Dou🍬bles and all our playlists after its addition to the matchmaking lineup. If all playlists continue to perform as expected, we’ll ke🦂ep these additions and continue experimenting with adding more Ranked playlists in the future."

Someone has actually beaten Halo 2🅠 on Legendary🥂 difficulty with all Skulls enabled without dying, netting a $20,000 reward.

Twitch streamer Jervalin undertook the challenge yesterday on August 3, streaming the entire run on his channel over the course of se♈ven hours. The Halo veteran player actually manages to make it through the entire Halo 2 campaign on Legendary difficulty without dying a single time.

Not only that, 🅠but they also have all Skulls enabled throughout the run. This means it's unbearably difficult as enemies a🧔re a higher level than usual, can see through player camo, have better aim, faster reloading times, and double health, plus dying once resets the entire level's progress.

In total, the streamer manage༒s to beat Halo 2 on LASO (Legendary All Skulls On) difficulty in right around six and a half hours. Right now at least, it looks like Jervalin is the first and only person to ever accomplish the heroic feat.

As reported last month, this all came about from a challenge issued by another streamer. Charlie 'Cr1tikal' White set up the challenge and offered a bounty of $20,000 to the first🍬 person to complete the feat. At the🌠 time, the streamer acknowledged that Jervalin had come close to completing the feat beforehand, only coming short of a full LASO run because he kept the 'Envy' Skull on, letting him turn invisible at will. Now Jervalin has taken the crown and finally accomplished the entire challenge.

In other news, Halo 2's lost Earth City demo is being restored by 343 themselves for the very first time since E3 2003, when it was debuted for those attending the event.

A 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite player has recreated Squid Game&ﷺapos;s R🍨ed Light, Green Light thanks to a leaked version of Forge mode.

Undoubtedly, one of Squid Game's most memorable, not to mention terrifying, moments is when the contestants must participate in a game of Red Light, Green Light. Unlike the game you might fondly remember from childhood, if the parti🎉cipants failed to remain still, they were eliminated, not just from the competition. Now, one talented Halo fan has brought this deadly challenge to the popular FPS (thanks, ).

Z Mods recreated Red Light, Green Light in Halo Infinite using Forge mode, which has partially leaked online. "Took me a b🌠it to work it all out and this is what I came up with," says Z Mods. "I rushed it because I didn't want to lose it all to a crash. Hope you enjoy."

As you can see from the video below, the game works just like it does in the show - move when the light is red, and you're toast. Thankfully, unlike in Squid Game, you have the ability to respawn. As the creator notes in the comments, they did run into one minor issue, "No matter what I did, theཧ green light wouldn't work," explains Z Mods. "The object for it is there, but the light itself doesn't show up. Please ignore that."

It's an impressive creation, even more so considering that Forge mode isn't even officially out yet. Fans are hoping that Red Light, Green Light bec♛omes a mainstay when the feature does finally launch. "You gotta make this again and turn it into a custom game when forge releases," comments YouTube user RaiiN.

Another player recently used the leaked mode to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:recreate the brilliant P.T demo. With Forge mode at least partially out in the wild, we&apo🌱s;re looking forward to seeing what other weird and wonderful ideas players come up with.

Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries is investigati🅷ng an issue wh﷽ich sees some players downloading up to 1GB of additional - and mysterious - data at the end of each multiplayer match.

Whilst the cause of the additional "extra data" remains unknown, players are reporting💟 that the game client downloads between 300MB and 900MB data after every multiplayer match, unwittingly sucking up data for those with usage cap𝐆s.

Developer 343i has formally ac⛎knowledged the💮 issue, confirming that the team is "investigating" the problem and expects that an "improvement for this issue" will be available next month.

"The team is investigating reports of Halo Infinite downloading extra data after mult꧋iplayer matches," the Halo Support Twitter account announced. "An improvement for this issue will be included in August's Drop Pod update. Stay tuned to @Halo for a preview blog with more details on this update."

Not everyone is happy to wait until August for a sol✱ution, howev🤪er.

Did you catch the news that 343 Industries is working to preserve a bunch of content from pre-release versions of Halo and Halo 2, rebuilding them for players and modders to enjoy in ꦐthe Master Chief Collection?

You'll be forgiven if you&ap🌼os;ve forgotten - or weren't even born yet - but footage of Halo 2's Earth City demo was presented way back at E3 2003. The engine powering that demo was ultimately scrapped and its content never made it into the final release of Halo 2, and there was never much reason to believe it would ever become playable to the pubᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚlic... until now, anyways.

Halo 𒊎Infinite campaign co-op will not offer online matchmaking even afte🌜r the mode leaves beta.

A representative for Xbox confirmed as much in a statement to GamesRadar+, while aꦿlso recommending some f🌼amiliar alternatives to matchmaking.

"Online matchmaking will not be available with fꦫinal co-op," the statement reads. "We encourage you to continue to use the Halo LFG and the new Discord voice call feature on Xbox to find players to party up with as you continue playing the beta."

In case you missed the news, this statement is referring to the addition of Discord voice chat to the app's Xbox feature set. Previously, connecting your Xbox and Discord accounts just let the latter display your game activity and gamertag, but as of July 20, Xbox Insiders can transfer voice calls from Discord to their Xbox Series X or Xbox One via the platform's mobile app. The featu❀re is currently limited to insider testing, but a broader release is planned for later this year.

It is nice to finally have Discord voice chat on Xbox, but setting it up is pretty convoluted, and it's not clear how the option to transfer existing voice calls would help Halo Infinite players find people to play with. It could make communicating easier, assuming both parties already use Discord and are in the same Halo server, but as our own Alyssa Mercante wrote in her 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite co-op impressions, the limiting factor for campaign co-op is really the looking part of Looking For Groups.

What is clear is th🌳at if you don't already have friends to play with, finding a group 𝔉of Master Chiefs to run the campaign with is going to take some third-party legwork.

Here's how to get into the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite campaign co-op beta

The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite campaign co-op beta has finally launched, but I struggled to get anyone to play with me for days. Many of my frien🌳ds, who I played Halo Infinite multiplayer with months ago, have gradually drifted away to other games, and the staggered and sometimes con⛦fusing communication around the co-op beta meant none of them signed up for the Insider program.

As such, I've been forced to try and find squadmates online, whether it's through the Halo Discord or by somewhat pathetically tweeting out requests for a teammate as there's no matchmaking option - and there won't be. F🐼or two whole days I was completely ignored in the Halo Discord, until one person finally reached out and offered to run some co-op with me. We played for a few hours, where I discovered the limits of our tether and a few glitches, but mostly enjoyed the experience. But is it enough after such a long wait for Halo Infinite co-op?

Halo Infinite's campaign co-op has been delayed several times. Just a few weeks ahead of Halo Infinite's November 2021 release, 343 Industries' head of creative Joseph Staten announced the game would ship without campaign co-op or Forge. At the time, it was promised both would arrive in May 2022 "at the earliest", but by March 2022 campaign co-op was delayed again and we were left with a promise that network co-op would arrive sometime in Season 2. Then, it was announced that the campaign co-op beta would arrive the week of July 15, with 343 clarifying later that it was planning for 🎐a July 11 launch date. Ultimately, the Halo Infinite campaign co-op beta launched on July 15 – but I couldn't play until the 20th.

That's because there are no Halo Infinite co-op matchmak𝓡ing options available in the beta. If you're looking to queue up and play cooperatively, it has got to be with a mutual – and that isn't going to change for the finalᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ release either. "Online matchmaking will not be available with final co-op. We encourage you to continue to use the Halo LFG and the new Discord voice call feature on Xbox to find players to party up with as you continue playing the beta," a representative for Xbox told me via email.

Since none of my friends (whom I've spent hours in Halo Infinite multiplayer with) have access to the flight, I was left to scour the internet for anyone interested in playing with my sorry ass. But how many people are actually looking to play Halo Infinite's campaign eight months after it launched? In all likelihood, if you haven't already played the campaign you aren't likely to be a loyal Halo Insider, so the chances of you having access to the co-op fl𒁃ight are slim. And if you are a big Halo fan, you likely already breezed through Infinite's campaign before the first snow of the season fell.

So who is actually playing the Halo Infinite co-op beta? In the Halo discord, there's a channel dedica🤡ted to those look𒊎ing for a group to run through campaign missions together, but the channel isn't game-specific. So there are handfuls of people looking for teammates to do Legendary runs of a game in The Master Chief Collection, and my several requests for a Halo Infinite co-op teammate go unanswered for more than 24 hours.

Game time

I am grateful for the person who finally answers the call and sends me a request to join them on Xbox. Sure, I immediately get an error code and have to sheepishly ask for another invite, but the second time's a charm and we jump into a new campaign rather quickly once I enter the lobby. From there, we breeze through the opening bit, with my silent teammate (they did not ha🦩ve or did not want to use a mic) skipping all the cutscenes and impatiently waiting for me by jumping up and down in doorways when I lag behind. We're playing on Normal, and take out Tremonius in under a minute, so expect to scale up the difficulty if you want a real challenge.

Revisiting the Halo Infinite campaign is wholly enjoyable. The gameplay remains rock-solid, the enemy AI and dialogue are fantastic and hilarious, and it looks as good as I remember. It's hard to get a proper feel for the co-op component until we emerge on the surface of Zeta Halo🧜 and get to test the boundaries of this open world. After reclaiming our first Forward Operating Base, my teammate summons a Mongoose. Wanting to zip around Zeta Halo with them, I attempt to summon one for myself but can't, so I begrudgingly hop on the back o🗹f theirs.

We tool about for a few minutes, each pinging different areas which supersedes the other person's, until I decide I want to figure out how long the 1000-foot tether feels in-game. I jump off the Mongoose, rush back to the FOB, and summon another vehicle before heading in the opposite direction of my teammate. After a few frustrated pings reminding me of the next point of interest we were meant to hit, my teammate suddenly appears on the back of my Mongoose. "Oops, sorry," I say into the microphone. Thereও's no response. This would be a lot more fun if my friends were playing.

Running around Zeta Halo with a partner quieter than Master Chief isn't an ideal way to play Halo. I have such fond memories of late-night sessions trying to get through Halo 3's The Ark on Legendary with my friends, all of us laughing and yelling until our sides hurt. With split-screen co-op not launching until November at the earliest, I don't think I'll be playing any more💜 campaign until the network co-op comes out of beta. It's a bit anticlimactic, really. We waited so long to play Halo Infinite with friends, and while it's completely understandable that 33 Industries would struggle to adapt the franchise for a live-service model, it feels like this is all just too little too late. I'm sure I'll feel different once me and several friends can pile into a Warthog and drive it off the face of a cliff, but how much longer will I have to wait for that?
