One of DC's most interesting and enigmatic heroes is coming to the small screen as Warner Bros has officially greenlit a new Mister Miracle adult animated series with comic writer Tom King on board as showrunner, as reported by Deadline.

King wrote a multiple award-winning Mister Miracle comic series with artist Mitch Gerads in 2017,✃ turning the semi-obscure hero into a compelling leading man in one of the most emotional superhero comics of the modern era.

Now, King, who was at one time on board to write a New Gods film for director Ava Duvernay which would have featured Mister Miracle amo♑ng other characters, is turning his attention to an aniꦐmated adaptation of his comic.

For those not in the know, Mis𝄹ter Miracle AKA Scott Free is the DC Universe's greatest escape artist. He's the son of Highfather, leader of the heroic New Gods, but was raised under a torturous upbringing by the villainous Darkseid. He's married to Big Barda, one of the strongest women in the universe.

Here's the full logline for the show:

"No prison can hold him. No trap can contain him. He is Scott Free, the worldwide celebrity sensation known as Mister Miracle, and he is the greatest escape artist who ever lived. But can he pull off the ultimate trick – and escape death itself?

"Something has gone horribly wrong with the perfect life that Scott and his warrior wife Big Barda have built for themselves on Earth. With war raging between their home worlds of Apocalypse and New Genesis, Scott’s cruel adoptive father Darkseid seems to have finally captured the Anti-Life Equation – the ultimate weapon that will give Darkseid total dominance over the universe.

"As the mountains of bodies on both sides grow ever higher, only Mister Miracle can stop the slaughter and restore peace. But the terrible power of the Anti-Life Equation may already be at work in his own mind, warping his reality, exposing his long-buried pain, and shattering the fragile happiness he’s found with the woman he loves. And so begins the odyssey of Scott Free, Mister Miracle: a harrowing, hilarious, heart wrenching journey across the pitfalls of the ordinary and extraordinary as the son of God raised by the devil tries to save his family, his world, and maybe even himself."

In King's comic, Mister Miracle deals with extreme depression and self-harm as his reality begins to crumble around him while trying to raise his infant son. It's an emotionally harrowing tale that digs deep into the humanity💧 ofಌ characters who have been billed as "gods."

No network or streaming service has been announced for Mister Miracle yet. The new DC Universe expands with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:James Gunn's Superman on July 11. For more, check out our list of all the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming DC movies and shows.

How strong is Superman? What are the aꦦctual limits of his powers?

Among superhero fans, these are more debates than questions with solid answers. And with trailers for director James Gunn's Superman showing a version of the character who is susceptible to a certain level of pain and injury, the debate is raging a🤪gain.

Gunn's Superman is shown dealing with serious bodily injur꧅ies – not 🐎the more metaphysical kind inflicted by the power of Kr✅yptonite – and even undergoing painful medical treatments by his attendant robots.

For some, that's a bridge too far in terms of Superman's vulnerability. Coupled with very few feats of super strength shown in the trailers, it's got a certain group of vocal Superman fans up in arms with their perceived understanding of how powerf♎ul James Gunn's Man of 𝄹Steel will actually be in the movie.

But for me, a lifelong fan of Superman and a reader 🔯of comics from across his nearly 90 year lifespan, the show of vulnerability feels more like an attempt to grapple with Superman's shifting power levels on screen, and a way to lull fans into under-preparedn🅰ess for what I am hoping will be some truly cosmic spectacle.

For one thing, I'm personally not expecting DC Studios to show us the coolest stuff in the trailers. We've barely seen Superman in action, aside from a scant few clips fighting Ultraman and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Hammer of Boravia.

We don't actually even know how the injuries seen in the trailer were caused. For all we know right now, he actually is weakened by Kryptonite when he's hurt in the film🐎, a condition u൲nder which Superman can canonically be gravely injured.

All of that speculation 💙aside, Superman's power levels have varied wildly throughout his history, and even from creator to creator. There is a relatively consistent baseline to Superman's strength in the mo🌃dern era, but each portrayal of the Man of Steel across media has its own interpretation of what he can do.

The history of Superman's powers

Superman lifting a car on the cover of Action Comics #1

Following Superman's original debut in 1938's Action Comics #1, his powers were described as being "faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, 🉐able to leap tall buildings in a single bound", and able to withstand any attack short of an exploding shell.

For a few years, those were essentially the limits of Superman's powers. He didn't fly until 1940's Adventures of Superma꧑n radio show, which introduced numerous a🍌spects of the character's mythos, including Kryptonite.

From there, Superman's powers ballooned through the rest of the Golden Age of the '40s and early '50s, through the Silver Age of the🐷 '60s and early '70s. His classic powers were all established, including X-Ray and microscopic vision, super freeze-breath, heat vision, full on flight, speed beyond the capability of even the fastest craft, and of course, cosmic level super strength powerful enough to move planets, and nigh-invulnerability which can traditionally only be countered by kryptonite, magic, or sometimes, someone even stronger than him, like the villain Doomsday who actually managed to kill Superman in the early '90s.

He aꦿlso accrued dozens of strange minor powers that were used only a 🦩few times before fading into obscurity, including things like his amnesiac super-kiss and being able to reverse time by flying backwards around the Earth which were later adapted into 1978's beloved Superman movie and its sequels.

It wasn't until 1985's Crisis on👍 Infinite Earths, which rebooted most of DC's comic continuity, that Superman's modern power levels were essentially established - massive super strength, nigh-invulnerability, super-senses, x-ray and heat vision, freeze breath, super speed, and flight.

Heroes of myth

Though there's a generally agreed upon range of Superman's abilities, the true answer to how powerful he is will prove remarkably frust🎶rating to a certain strain of tire-kicking fans, especially since DC declared that all of Superman's comic book histꦍory, across all the reboots, relaunches, and changes in his powers, are canonical whether that fully makes sense or not.

Because the truth is, Superman's power levels, like those of all fictional characters, are entirely malleable at all times based on ♔the situation he's in, the story being told, and the people 🦄telling it.

Superhero comics have often been compared to modern myths, and more than just about any other superhero continuity, the DC Universe lives up to that idea, both ♒in the godlike feats undertaken byꦜ its undeniably powerful heroes, and in the fluid, ever-shifting nature of their personalities and abilities.

Superman, like the quintessential Greek hero Heracles (or Hercules, if you're into that sort of thing) is less a quantifiable Ivan Drago strongman, whose highest output punches are duly recorded to history, than he is a being of storied myth whose capabil🍃ities are determined by what makes for the best spinning of the yarn, and whose feats and adventures have evolved across countless tellings of their tales.

I don't bring up Heracles in particular for nothing. Superman writer/director James Gunn has cited Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's fabled All-Sta♔r Superman as a major inspiration on his film - a comic which itself takes not insignificant inspiration from the classic concept of the 12 labors of Heracles, with Superman promising to complete a series of wondrous tasks befo⛦re he dies due to toxic over-exposure to Earth's yellow sun, the source of fuel for his Kryptonian powers.

It's another turn of the cycle of myth, as the core idea of a🍃 man whose strength beyond strength is directly equitable to the parable on which it 🍃rests echoes directly into Gunn's telling of Superman's story.

Superman's official power levels

While I'm personally very much in the "wait-and-see, it's all just aꦬ story" camp in terms of how Superman's vaunted strength will be portrayed in Gunn's film, I also understand the impulse to dig i♚nto the debate around exactly what Supes can do.

I grew up going to comic stores, lurking in the ra🍸cks of new and old issues, in heated conversation with my fellow fans about✤ whether Superman or the Hulk is stronger, which heroes might be able to lift Thor's hammer, and so on.

That's part of the magic of superhero fandom, the characters and their stories engender these conversations and cre𓃲ative ideas among fans. We're invited directly into the world of the Marv✨el and DC Universes in a way other fiction rarely offers.`

But there's a special aspect to that magic that can be lost in the conversation around how strong Superman actually is, which is that every fan gets to see ꦜit for themself and imagine their own delineation of a character's limits. There are guides along the way, important and memorable scenes from our favorite stories th🌠at stick in our mind as examples of just what our most beloved heroes can do.

It's that individualized perception that has kept superhero comics fresh across changing creative 🌄perspectives, which will hopefully allow James Gunn to craft a compelling portrayal of the world's greatest superhero, and which enables the debate in the first place.

And anyway, we haven't even seen the movie yet.

Just like the MCU, Marvel Comics has a brand new incarnation of the New Avengers. And just like in the MCU, the new comic was originally billed as Thunderbolts*, before its actual title was revealed. We've got a preview of The New Avengers🤡 #1 showing how the team g🔴ets its start.

It all comes down to Bucky Barnes, who takes the ✤lead as a badass action hero alongside his rekindled paramour Natasha Romanova, the Black Widꦑow, with the pair getting together – both romantically and heroically – for a new mission.

Here's the preview by writer Sam ꦰHumphries, artist Ton Lima, colorist Rain Beredo, and letterer Joe Sabino, along with the cover by Stephen Segovia:

"Carnage. The Hulk. Namor. Clea. Wolverine. Five of the most dangerous loners and a💙ntiheroes in the Marvel Universe. Nothing could make them work together…but Bucky Ba൲rnes and the Black Widow are going to give it a shot," reads Marvel's official description of New Avengers #1.

"Demented duplicates of the Illuminati are threatening the world, and if they figure out how to work together, they'll be as unstoppable as the originals. Bucky෴ and Natasha need allies who will do anything to take the duplicates out - but wrangling a team of killers and monsters presents its own dangers. Wܫelcome to the New Avengers - hope you survive the experience!"

Bucky and Natasha are both accomplished Avengers in their own right,ꦆ so the two of them co-leading a team makes sense, especially with other longstanding Avengers like Namor and Hulk in the mix. But there are definitely some wildcards on the team, especially Carnage, who is usually one of Spider-Man's most bloodthirsty foes, though the symbiote is now controlled by Eddie Brock, who is much more of an anti-hero.

New Avengers #1 goes on sale June 11.

Marvel's new summer event Imperial is here, and the first issue doesn't disappoint. Anchored by strong creative work by writer Jonathan Hickman, artists RB Silva and Federico Vicentini, color artist Federico Blee, and letterer Cory Petit, the space opera style story calls back to some of Marvel's more recent glory days with a sweeping scope, a close attention to detail, and a villain that will legitimately surpris🎶e you.

Spoilers ahead for Imperial #1

Imperial #1 opens with two m🧜ysterious figures, seemingly the cosmic manipulator known as the Grandmaste🐼r and the devilish villain Mephisto, who are starting a cosmic game that apparently involves manipulating events and heroes around the galaxy.

From there, we catch up with Gamma-powered heroes Bruce Banner/Hulk, Amadeus Cho/Bra𝔍wn, and Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk as thꦍey travel through space to visit Sakaar En Nevo, the new incarnation of Sakarr, AKA Planet Hulk.

Though the people of Sakaar greet the return of Hulk with celebration, their mission is actually one of tragedy, as the ruler of🐼 the planet, Hulk's son Hiro-Ka🥀la, has been poisoned, leaving the world in disarray.

Imperial investigators tell Amadeus Cho that multiple heads of state have been murdered across the galaxy

Hulk leaves She-Hulk on Sakaar🐎 as he travels to the newly built Fulcrum City, which is intended to be the new center of intergalactic politics, where the many cosmic empires of the Marvel Universe come together in a kind of extra-terrestrial United Nations.

However, things are far more dire than Hulk un♎derstands, as he and Brawn discover that the lead♛ers of several other empires have been poisoned by an identical toxin to the one that killed Hiro-Kala.

As the Galactic Council convenes to uncover the truth behind the murders, it's revealed that the poi♛son that killed the fallen leaders was made by the Kree Science Council. However, they were not the ones who poisoned Hiro-Kala and the others.

Instead, the Kree divulge that the poison was sold to none other than the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda, the spacebound sister empire of Earth's Wakanda. Just then, a Wakandan sniper attacks, killing multiple diplomats, damaging the station, ෴and leaving ꦬmany others missing, including Hulkling, Wiccan, and the rest of the delegation from the Kree/Skrull Empire.

A Wakandan sniper takes aim at the Galactic Council

In the wake of the disaster, ౠStar-Lord and Richard Ryder, the classic Nova, decide to team up to get to the bottom of what's going🐠 on, leading to multiple factions now involved in the quickly devolving political situation in the Galactic Council. Meanwhile, the Council begins to target the Wakandan Empire for war.

The story h♓arkens back to some of the best work by writer Jonathan Hickman, whose Fantastic Four, Avengers, Secret Wars, and X-Men stories have proved to be the backbone of a certain era of the Marvel U🍎niverse.

Hickman's narrative attention to detail and continuity, his unfolding plan✅ to bring the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe into the modern day, and his focus on bringing together popular characters for a sweeping new saga also call to mind the mid-'00s era of Marvel stories, especially the now classic Annihilation and its sequel Annihilation: Conquest, and of course the critically acclaimed Planet Hulk. At the same time, the art team also lives up to the concept of huge, blockbuster comics,🔯 nailing the scope and tone of every scene.

Hulk leads the Galactic Council in declaring war on the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda

It's been too long since Marvel took a big, impressive swing in its core reality that feels like its own massive tale focused on marrying the classic Marvel U🃏niverse with new concepts, and even longer since Marvel's cosmic wing has felt fresh and new.

That one-two punch makes Imperial #1 feel like the story could grow into a high watermark for recent Marvel events, and a much-needed creative shot in the arm intended more to tell an affectin♛g story that brings in some new ideas instead of coasting on readers' expectations for what might come next.

Hey, remember the Street Sharks? Well the🧸yꦍ're back, in comic form, over 30 years after their initial debut.

IDW, who also publishes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, have announced the return of the Street Sharks in a f🥀ive issue limited series by writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Ariel Medel, via .

If you grew up in the Ninja Turtle dominated 💙'90s, there were plenty of radical, tubular, bodacious, awesome knock-off lines that took the TMNT's anthropomorphic-animals-as-superheroes concept and ran with it. But none of those subsequent franchises was quite like Street Sharks, which became the Turtles' heir apparent in the mid-'90s.

Here's♎ a gallery of covers for Street Sharks #1 by Philip Murphy, Elizabeth Beals, Kevin Anthony Catalan, and Khary Randolph:

The Street Sharks franchise centered on a line of delightfully colorful and carnivorous toys in an oversized scale that put an emphasis on the characters' massive mouthsꦚ full of razor sharp teeth which they use to literally chew up the very streets they protect. The main cast consisted of heroic brothers Ripster, Jab, Streex, and Big Slammu, who are all humanized sharks (see how it kinda sounds a lot like TMNT, but also kinda different?).

I was solidly a Ninja Turtles kid, growing up through most of the '80s and all of the '90s. By the time Street Sharks came around I had seen my fair sh♐are of Samurai Pizza Cats, Biker Mice From Mars, Wild West Cowboys ಞof Moo Mesa, and many other cartoons and toylines that took that mold as far as it could go.

That said, Street Sharks has always stood out among fans and collectors as one of the best toylines of its era, and a concept tha♎t managed to have some teeth at a time when mainstream animated shows were becoming more and more homogenized. I have very fond memories of the action figures in particular, so this seems like a great opportunity to help the cult favorite Street Sharks rise above their 'TMNT clone' reputation.

There's a new line of Street Sharks toys that kicked off back in 2024, and are now available through Mattel. Stꩲreet Sharks #1 is scheduled for release in September.

The Street Sharks comic is brand new, but the TMNT have been in comics since the '80s. Here are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics of all time.

Marvel has unveiled the full line of variant covers for its 30th anniversary reviv🌠al of the '90s cult classic Marvel Swimsuit Special. Along with the covers, the publisher ♊has revealed that those who purchase the one-shot will also receive a free Marvelꦰ Rivals skin – but there's a bit of a catch.

Rather than offering up one of the summer themed Marvel Rivals skins that will be revealed in the ౠpages of the one-shot, buyers of the new Marvel Swimsuit Special will receive the Thing Unlimited skin, a recolor of the Thing's base skin that is also given to subscribers of the Marvel Unlimited digital comics app.

Here are the covers by Adam Hughes, Mark Brooks, Taurin Clarke, Russell Dauterman, Terry Dods♏on, Pablo Villalobos, and Lucas Werneck:

The Swimsuit Special's many interior pin-ups are drawn by artists including Mirka Andolfo, Mahmꦐud Asrar, Joshua Cassara, Nic Klein, Aaron Kuder, Ron Li♑m, David Marquez, Marguerite Sauvage, Luciano Vecchio, and Ryusei Yamada.

That said, the new Marvel Swimsuit Special is more than a pin-up gallery. It includes a story by writers Tim Seeley and Tony Fleecs and artist Nick Bradshaw that provides some connective tissue to the man☂y portraits of scantily clad Marvel characters – the portion of🌺 the one-shot that Marvel cheekily calls "reading the articles."

In this case, it's all about the Marvel Universe's resident super-fashionista Janet Van Dyne/the Wasp putting together a whole line of 𓂃swimwear for her fellow heroes in response to an unauthorized version of a superhero swimsuit calendar by the villainous corporation Roxxon.

Marvel Swimsuit Special #1 goes on sale July 9.

Norman Osborn is currently reformed in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man, working to make up for his long list of misdeeds as the Green Goblin. But that villainous history is on full display in Bring on the Bad Guys: Green Goblin, which digs into an unseen part of Norman Osborn's history, in which he struck a secret bargain with none other than the devilish Mephisto.

Here's a gallery of interior pages from the issue by writers Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan, and artist Matteo Della Fonte, showing Norma🔯n making his deal with the devil and then immediately jetting off on his Goblin Glider to take on Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man.

Check it out:

"An ALL-NEW piece of Norm♚an Osborn’s villainous history…REVEALED! Writer Marc Guggenheim is acting🐎 as a showrunner of sorts for the saga, writing the initial Bring on the Bad Guys: Doctor Doom chapter, while also working al♉ongside the writer🐲s of the other Bring on the Bad Guys one-shots to craft a story that spans all seven entries.

Marvel Studios is ramping up the lead-in to its big, all-in, Multiversal throwdown movie 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Avengers: Secret Wars with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Fantastic Four: First Steps opening the door this summer, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Avengers: Doomsday setting the stage in 2026 beforꩲe Secret Wars finally arrives in 2027.

But even with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询ﷺ:D▨oomsday already sporting a massive cast that spans different worlds, there are still important characters from both the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:1985 and 2015 comic book versions𝕴 of Secret Wars, which will both be hugely influential to the Secret Wars movie, who still haven't mad🍎e their MCU debut.

Though these ten important characters may or may not make it into the MCU, when it comes to adapting the original Secret Wars comic and its 2015 sequel, they at least ought to be considered for inclusion in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: 🍒Secret Wars.

We're not including characters that have had𓄧 appearances in MCU movies or who haveℱ already been announced to appear. At the same time, we are including characters who have appeared in non-MCU Marvel movies.

Molecule Man

image of Molecule Man

Molecule Man is better known as Owen Reece, a꧃n odd Fantastic Four villain whose power to rearrange matter down to its atoms is actually a product of his cosmic connection to the Multiverse. In both the original 1985 Secret Wars and its 2015 sequel, Molecule Man's powers are essential in Doctor Doom's plans to conquer reality. Molecule Man is not exactly stable, and often waffles between retirement and villainy. Partly because of this, he's also instrumental in Doom's defeat in the 2015 Secret Wars, as he betrays Doom after forging an unlikely bond with Miles Morales/Spider-Man. He then goes on to help the Fantastic Four rebuild the Multiverse.

Miles Morales

Miles Morales

Speaking of Miles Morales, who has plenty of Multiverse experience thanks to his starring role in the smash-hit animated Spider-Verse film series, the younger Spider-Man is a key character in the 2015 Secret Wars, escaping the destruction of his own home reality and joinಌing the heroes of the Marvel Universe in Doom's Battleworld. Miles ends up being one of the main factors in taking Doom down thanks to his strange friendship with Molecule Man, who repays Miles' kindness by transplanting him and his family into the mainstream Marvel Universe. Could Miles a🐽ppear in Avengers: Secret Wars, only to then go on to officially join the MCU?

The Beyonder/Beyonders

The Beyonder

In 1985's Secret Wars, the action is driven by an enigmatic cosmic being known as the Beyonder, who has omnipotent control over all reality. The Beyonder creates the original Battleworld, summoning forth Marvel's top heroes and villains to fight for his amusement, with the prize for victory being a portion of his power. In 2015's Secret Wars, it's revealed that there is a whole race of Beyonders who live beyond the boundaries of Marvel's Multiverse, and who are responsible for both its creation ꦍand destruction, with only Doom able to fend them off and save reality, creating his own Battleworld in the process.

The Mapmakers and The Builders

The Mapmakers

The Mapmakers are essentially the ground troops of the Beyonders in the lead up to 2015's Secret Wars, moving from world to world across the Multiverse through the path of Incursions, which cause two realities to collide and be destroyed, reprogramming any resistance to the Beyonders' cause. On the side are the Builders, the first beings to populate the Marvel Universe, who launch a reality-spanning war in order to stop the Incu🍸rsions and save the Multiverse. They are ultimately destroyed by the Beyonders, leading to the creation of the new Battleworld at the hands of Doctor Doom, the only one who is able to stand against the Beyonders.

Volcana

Volcana flirting with Molecule Man

Volcana, AKA Marsha Rosenberg, is one of two young women who are empowered by a machine created by Doctor Doom during 1985ꦚ's original Secret Wars (the other being She-Hulk's arch-enemy, Titania, played by ♛Jameela Jamil in the MCU). Volcana ends up with fiery seismic powers, making her a formidable villain – if she weren't more interested in retiring with her new boyfriend, Owen Reese, the Molecule Man. Volcana is a fun character who has motivations that are very different from other villains, who I'd love to see join the MCU, though I'll admit I'm not holding my breath.

The Venom Symbiote

Peter Parker wearing the Venom symbiote

Right off the bat, I'll acknowledge that the Venom Symbiote has technically had a cameo in the MCU's Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it was largely a gag💖 that had no impact on the plot, and he didn't meet any other characters. All of that said, the original 1985 Secret Wars involves Spider-Man finding the Venom Symbiote, using it as a new costume for some time before it betrays him and bonds with Eddie Brock. It seems like a no-brain♍er to bring the Venom Symbiote into the MCU in Avengers: Secret Wars. And with Spider-Man 4 in the works, anything is possible.

Black Swan

Black Swan

If Silver Surfer is the herald of Galactus, Black Swan is the herald of Doom. In nearly every reality where she exists, Black Swan is a servant of Doctor Doom as part of a religious order who worship the Latverian conqueror under the name "Rabum Alal." Each Black Swan comes from a world in the Multiverse that has been destroyed by an incursion in the lead up to 2015's Secret Wars thanks to Doom's schemes. The main Black Swan becomes one of Doom's generals in his Battleworld reality, going on to join Th⛎anos and his Black Order in the wake of Doom's defeat.

Valeria Richards

Valeria Richards

A lot has been said about the apparent presence of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Franklin Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But when it comes to 2015's Secret Wars, it's actually Franklin's sister, Valeriꦕa Richards – Doom's beloved goddaughter, whose intellect may surpass both Reed's and Doom's, who plays a bigger role. In Doom's Battleworld reality, Sue Storm is his wife, and Franklin and Valeria are his step-children, all with no memory of the Marvel Universe as it previously existed. However, when Valeria encounters her father Reed Richards, who does remember, she aids h𓆉im in his plan to defeat Doom and restore the Multiverse.

Manifold

Manifold

The mutant Manifold is one of the most interesting new X-Men characters to come along in the modern era, though he actually originated as an Avenger. An Aboriginal Australian, Manifold is the student of the X-Men's enigm꧋atic ally, Gateway, who tutors him in the art of teleportation. But Manifold's abilities go far beyond just teleporting from place to place – he can actually bend time and space by speaking directly to the universe. In Secret Wars 2015, his abilities are instrumental in saving the contingent of heroes who go on🤡 to defeat Doom, including Reed Richards, Miles Morales, and Peter Parker.

The Maker

The Maker

The Maker is an evil, alt-reality version of Reed Richards from the original Ultimate Universe. In 2015's Secret Wars, the Maker winds up teaming 🎶up with the core Marvel Universe Reed Richards to try and defeat Doom, though they disagree over whether or not to kill Doom, with the🐠 Maker insisting they should. Later, the Maker betrays Reed, but his meddling is ended by the Molecule Man, who literally turns the Maker into pepperoni pizza. The Maker later became part of the core Marvel Universe and is now the main villain of the remade Ultimate Universe, which is his own engineered creation.

It's been 25 years since Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 too♐k the world of fighting games by storm, setting a standard for the genre that remains to this day. Now, Hasbro's Marvel Legends toy line is celebrating the milestone with a whole wave of action figures that fully recreate the game's iconic art by Bengus.

The wave of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 style figures was announced in a which also revealed the first official images of the MCU style figures for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But the real money for many fan🍸s was the MvC2 wave, which has been rumored for some time.

The wave will include two-packs of Wolverine Vs. Silver Samurai, Captain America Vs. Venom, Psylocke Vs. Thanos, and War Machine Vs. Omega Red, ꦏas well as deluxe figures of Juggernaut and 'Gargantos,' a version of Shuma-Gorath whose name was changed for legal reasons.

Here's a gallery of the figures:

As you can see, they are very distinctly based on Bengus' concept art for MvC2, which has remained popular for the entirety of the game's𝔉 25 year lifespan. The game, which features dozens of Marvel characters squaring off against an equal number of opponents from Capcom's catalogue, centers around a team-building mechanic in which playersꦇ pick three heroes each, pitting their team against their enemies in multiple rounds of combat.

The intricate team-building mechanic, high skill c🐽eiling, and gorgeous visual style of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 have given it a lasting presence in the fighting game commuꦇnity, even as two more MvC games have come and gone. Last year, it received its first official re-release since the Playstation 3 era, quickly rising back to the top of the fighting game genre.

The Wolverine and Silver Samurai tw൲o pack goes on sale on fan channels including and as well as Amazon on Thursday June 5. Psylocke and Thanos goes on sale June 6 via Target. Captain America vs. Venom goes up for sale on Hasbro Pulse on June 12. Gargantos goes on sale via Amazon and fan channels on June 18. Juggernaut goes on sale on Amazon and fan channels in late June. Finally, War Machine vs. Omega Red is available for preorder via Walmart some time in July.

Legendary comic writer Peter David has died at the ageꦓ of 68, as posted by his wife Kathleen O'Shea David. David's death comes ꦗafter a long battle with chronic kidney disease along with a series of strokes.

"Since 🐽it i꧙s out there. Peter David passed away last night. We are devastated. More when I can write about it," reads the simple announcing his May 24 death.

Peter David's comic career🌊 began in 1985 with a series of Spider-Man stories, including 🔯the now classic tale 'The Death of Jean DeWolff.' This was quickly followed by a run on Hulk that wound up lasting for 12 years, including the creation of Bruce Banner's extra-intelligent 'Professor Hulk' persona, and the flash-forward story Avengers: Future Imperfect, which introduced the Maestro, an evil dictator version of Hulk who became the arch-enemy of his former teammates.

David's other ma𓂃jor Marvel work included co-creating Spider-Man 2099, turning Genis-Vell into a new Captain Marvel, and of course, a years-long run on X-Factor that took the team through multiple incarnations, from a government🦩-sponsored mutant team, to a private investigation agency, and even into the world of corporate superheroes.

D♕avid also wrote for DC throughout the '90s, with especially notable runs on Aquaman and Supergirl. For the formeꦜr, David is responsible for relaunching Aquaman in the '90s, revamping him from a colorful adventurer to a sea-faring badass with a savage, bearded look and a hook hand. And for Supergirl, David wrote an 81-issue run that rebooted the character not as a Kryptonian survivor, but as a genetically-engineered alien weapon who took on a form that honored Superman.

Throughout his career, David won numerous awards, including multiple Eisner Awards. He was also well-known as a prose writer, particularl🔜y for his work on numerous Star Trek novels, including some of the best selling Trek novels of all time.

It's been over 20 years since Marvel and DC published an official crossover comic, but 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the wait is now over as the two venerable publishers will join forces this fall for a pair of one-shots that bring together Batman and Deadpool, two of the most popular superheroes of all time, for their first eve🥀r meeting.

And if that's not enough, Marvel and DC are enlisting a who's who of all-star writers and artists for the one-shots, including legendary Batman creators Grant Morrison aไnd Greg Capullo, both known for their extensive and transformative work on the Caped Crusader.

For the first one-shot, Marvel's Deadpool/Batman #1, writer Zeb Wells i♒s joined by Capullo on art, while DC's companion piece, Batman/Deadpool #1 will be written by Morrison with art by current DC superstar artist Dan Mora.

"After writing Amazing Spider-Man for 60 issues, I told Marvel I needed a break. Marvel told me I could do that or ಞI could write a comic starring Deadpool and Batman with the best Batman artist of our generation. I no longer needed a break," Wells states. "In Batman we've found someone who has even less time for Deadpool's antics than Wolverine, but a cit♌y-wide threat from the Joker makes strange bedfellows (literally, if Deadpool had his way). It's been a blast letting Deadpool loose in Gotham City and watching what happens."

"Am I dreaming? This crossover is likely to be the high point of my career...and, I've had a great career," Capullo adds. "Some of my earliest work (many years ago) was on X-Fo♈rce,𝓀 so Deadpool and I go way back. More recently, I spent 10-plus years drawing Batman at DC. The idea that I get to do a crossover event with Deadpool and Batman...If I am dreaming, please don't wake me!"

"I don't do many comics these days but there was no way I could turn𒅌 down the chance to work with Dan Mora again, one of my all-time favourite artistic collaborators - and definitely no way I could turn down Batman and Deadpool!" says Grant Morrꦉison. "Expect 4th wall busting mayhem, owls, blood, blades, and at least one giant typewriter!"

"This is more than I ever imagined I could do in my car🌼eer, and it is a huge honor to be part of this crossover: it doesn't happen too often, and I am a HUGE Deadpool fan!" states Dan Mora. "When I first worked with Grant, I didn't know what to expect but it was an incredible team-up. I always hoped to work with Grant again, and working on Batman/Deadpool is like a dream come true. Grant and I working together on this once-in-a-lifetime project is going to be such a fun experience."

As stated, Batman and Deadpool will go up against none other than the Jok🐻er, who may just meet his match in Deadpool's wacky ways. There's also a whole slate of back-up stories in each one-shot written by some o👍f the top creators in the biz, though their names have yet to be revealed.

The story kicks o🌠ff in September 17's Deadpool/Batman #1, followed by Batman/Deadpool #1 in Noveಌmber.

Hot on the heels of actor Jon Bernthal's return as Frank Castle in Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Comics has announced the return of Frank Castle in comics with a new Punisher:🍎 Red Band comic by writer Benjamin Percy and artist Julius Ohta that the publisher is promising will be the "most violent in Punisher history."

Castle last appeared in the Marvel Universe in 2023's Punisher #13, which left him stranded in the fantasy-fueled alt-reality WeirdWorld, with no memory of his life as the Punisher. Castle's de-commissioning of sorts came at the end of one of the character's most transformative stories ever, which changed him from being✤ a deadly street vigilante into the leader of The Hand, complete with a new symbol nothing like his classic skull emblem.

"Frank Castle's brutal war on crime is reignited this September in PUNISHER: RED BAND! The five-issue limited series will be by writer Benjamin Percy and artist Julius Otha, currently delivering twisted horror together in Hellverine," reads Marvel's announce🔯ment. "Polybagged for explicit content, the Red Band series promises to be the most violent in Punisher history, as Frank Castle - freshly resurrected and back in his classic costume - is allowed to fully unleash his brutal brand of justice on the criminal underworld."

Here's a gallery of interior pages by artist Julius Ohta,💛 along with covers for Punisher #1 by Marco Checchetto and EM Gist, as well as a 'Hidden Gem' variant by classic Punisher artist Mike Zeck:

In the story, Frank will have to deal with his amnesia, but that won't stop him from apparently returning to an incarnation of the character that has becꦕome somewhat infamous thanks to his indiscriminate violence against villains that often amount to stereotypes of street criminals.

Marvel previously distanced itself from the classic Punisher logo in the lead up to Frank Castle leaving the M🐼arvel Universe, thanks to its unwilling association as a real-wor🍨ld emblem for people who embrace the idea of enacting violence on others in a way few superhero logos transcend their source material.

The publisher went so far as to create an all-new Punisher, Joe Garrison, with similar origins and motivations to Frank Castle, and equally violent methods, but with a more superheroic flair with high-tech weaponry and super-powered villains meant to set him apart froꦬm Frank Castle's more street-focused style.

"Frank Castle - that dark-hearted, vengeance machine, that monster who fights monsters - is one of my all-time favorite characters, and Punisher is a series I've been gunning to write for a long, long time," says series writer Benjamin Per𒊎cy in a statement. "Not only is Frank back in black, but this is a Red Band book. You know what that means. I'm going to lean in fully and push the very limits of my favorite genre: hairy psychopaths. This is going to be as gritty and bloody as it gets. Street-level mayhem awaits you. And Julius Ohta - who I collaborated with previously on Hellverine - is bringing all the blood and fire and rage to the p🧸age with his beautiful, terrifying art."

Punisher #1 of 5 goes on sale September 10.

Jon Bernthal is assembling "an incredible group" to work on his upcoming Marvel Punisher streaming special.

Writer Chip Zdarsky is about to launch a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new volume of Captain America which flashes back to his early days after being unfrozen by the Avengers. Alongside arti♕sts Valerio Schiti and Frank Martin, Zdarsky will send Cap on a mission against none other than Doctor Doom, set dur🐲ing the classic era of the Silver Age.

But that's just the beginning, as Zdarsky🤡's flashback story will also set the stage for what comes next when the title jumps forward to the p♕resent day, setting up new conflicts for Cap that will dig into his place in the Marvel Universe.

Newsarama caught up with Zdarꦜsky ahead of Captain America #1's July 2 release to dig into what it's like writing Captain America across multiple eras and why Doom makes the perfect villain for this story, and we've also got an early look at three covers for August 6's Captain America #2 by Ben Harvey, Mark Buckingham, and Zdarsky himself, along with a preview of unlettered pages from C🌌aptain America #1.

Newsarama: Chip, you had a particularly powerful take on a much older, more jaded Steve Rogers in the alt-future story Avengers Twilight. What are you taking from that experience as you now go back to a younger Captain America at the dawn of the modern Marvel Universe?

Chip Zdarsky: Well, unlike in Avengers: Twilight, there’s more cautious optimism to this younger Steve. He’s woken up and sees that America and the world triumphed over the Nazis, but there are stil🀅l so many questions about this new world he needs answered before he can settle into it. It’s great fun writing characters at various stages of their lives, 𝔉to see how they’ve grown.

How do the rest of the Avengers fit into this story?

They’re on the periphery for the most part. Steve has joined them in their first adventure together, fresh out of the ice, but he’s no💎w gone back to base to check in as a soldier who was fighting a World War just yesterda𝔍y.

You're also bringing in Doctor Doom, another character you previously wrote at a critical point in his history. What makes Doom a great foil for Captain America, as opposed to some of his more common enemies?

It made a ton of sense for our story. Doom is a dictator with recent violent incursions into America. To wake up and see that happening wo🐎uld be wildly disconcerting for Cap. I love the idea of mixing up the standard heroes and villains who go up against each other.

You're working with Valerio Schiti, who has become one of Marvel's top artists. What's it been like working with him on Captain America?

Valerio is so damned good. We worked together𓆏 back on Marvel Two-In-One a ✃few years ago and he was a stunning talent then and has somehow become even better! He’s equally at home drawing real people in a war zone as he is drawing wild cosmic battles and his designs are incredibly exciting.

Also, I really need to shout out our color ar💎tist, Frank Martin. Frank takes this bookဣ to a whole other level. He puts a ton of thought into his palette and approach with each scene and I can’t wait for everyone to see what he’s done with Valerio.

What can you tell us about the new Howling Commandos we'll meet in this story?

They’re Marines who need to live up to the name.

What do you want to say to fans going into your new Captain America run?

I mean, I’m h▨aving a blast. I’ve got the same feeling as I did when I started Daredevil, where each issue felt incredibly special, so I hope people feel the same way when they finally get to read it. Our first arc may be set in the past but it’s going to reveal some huge things that will affect the book going forward.

It's all but official that Fra💙nklin Richards, the young son of Reed and Sue Storm-Richards, will appear alongside the rest of his family in The Fantastic Four: Firܫst Steps, th𓆏anks𝔍 to some early release promotional materials.

Of course, we already knew that Vanessa Kirby's Sue Sไtorm-Richards is pregnant with early trailers for the film making the big reveal. But we have yet to see young Fr༒anklin himself on screen.

Nonetheless, we're all expecting Franklin to show up in full, especially since he's been glimpsed on promo items. And though h☂e's just a baby, Franklin Richards may be the key to everything that's about to unfold in the MCU.

Because much like the rest of his Fantastic family, Franklin is blessed with incr𒐪edible powers - ones that could make him the most powerful being in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, capable of altering all of reality itself in a way we've never seen before.

Heroes Reborn

The Avengers and Fantastic Four of the Heroes Reborn timeline

In comics, Franklin Richards is possessed of the ability to completely alter reality around𝐆 him with nigh-omnipotent power, to the point where🌞 he can not only destroy entire worlds but also create them.

This has come up multiple times over the years, witꦯh Franklin having occasionally been a last ditch savior of the Marvel Universe, using his omnipotent abilities to defeat enemies that the entire Marvel Universe struggled against, including Galactus.

But what's perhaps most interesting is what happe⛄ned when the Avengers and Fantastic Four went up ag♍ainst a foe they actually couldn't defeat, and how Franklin Richards managed to save them all in the face of certain death.

Back in 1996,💛 the entire Marvel Universe was being terrorized by the psychic villain Onslaught, who was created when Professor X mindwiped Magneto several years earlier, absorbing part of Magneto's personality into himself. The all-powerful villain threatened to destroy the entire world, with a deadly gambit established as the only way to stop him.

With no other options, the Avengers (including Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and more) and the Fantastic Four sacrificed themselves to Onslaught, weakening him just enough f👍or𝓰 the surviving heroes, primarily the X-Men, to finish him off.

But the heroes weren't actually dead. Instead, they were transported to a whole new pocket reality created by Franklin Richards at the last minute, an entire new world where the Avengers and Fantastic Four existed separately from the rest of the Marvel Uꦕniverse, with their own separate history and continuity.

This led to a publishing initiative titled Heroes Reborn in which the Iron Man, Captain America, Avengers, and Fantastic Four comics were relaunched with the superstar creators of the day at the helm, leading to two entirely separate Maꦯrvel Universes - one in which the Avengers and Fantastic Four died, and one where they lived totally different lives from the ones we knew.

The He👍roes Reborn reality was eventually reincorporated back into the rest of t🐲he Marvel Universe a couple years later in 1998, after none other than Doctor Doom, himself trapped in the pocket reality, became aware of his history in the mainstream Marvel Universe and attempted to conquer both realities.

The new MCU

The Fantastic Four: First Steps promo image

This could have some very real implications for what's coming up in the MCU. We know that The Fantastic Four: First Steps centers on a conflict w💯ith the world-devouring Galactus which will lead the FF to exit their own reality to join the MCU, as seen in the post-credits sequence of Thunderbolts.

Meanwhile, Doctor Doom actor Robert Downey, Jr. has shared ♒a social media post that could be teasing a showdown between Doom and Galac♋tus in the upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Avengers: Doomsday, which will of course set the stage for the reality-bending 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Avengers: Secret Wars.

This leads us to how Franklin cou🙈ld fit in. If the threat of the Beyonders, the villains behind the end or realit൩y in comics, is replaced with the threat of Galactus, could the powers of Franklin Richards become the mechanism by which everyone is saved?

In comics, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Secret Wars begins with Doctor Doom saving reality by holding together scraps of different realities in a new setting known as Battleworld, using not just his own abilities but the powers of the Molecule Man. Could Franklin Richards take the place of the M𒆙olecule Man as the source of Doom's reality saving abilities?

And if that is how things shake out, could that mean that we're looking at a potential reboot of the MCU, aꦜ la the way Heroes Reborn rebooted part of the Ma♉rvel Universe?

It wouldnꦓ't be the most surprising development, especially considering the 2015 Secret Wars comic altered aไnd rewrote parts of Marvel continuity, even bringing characters from alt-realities, such as Miles Morales, into the mainstream Marvel Universe.

We can't say for sure that Marvel Studios is looking at a soft or even a hard reboot coming out of Secret Wars, but the idea that aspects of Marvel's reality will be rewritten is not so far-fetched, especially with Franklin Richards - a💎 character who🌠 has already been responsible for one reboot in Marvel Comics - in the mix.

Since the latest action-packed trailer for James Gunn's Superman reboot mo🙈vie landed, fans have💞 been wondering about the identity of one of the film's villains, the h🐷eavily armored bruiser known as the Hammer of Boravia.

The thing is, the villain known as the Hammer of Boravia is actually a newly created character for Superman - a character who doesn't come from comics at all. There is a fictional nation known as Boravia in comics, but it doe♛sn't have its🤡 own hero.

Sඣpeculation around the charac꧋ter has skyrocketed since his name was revealed, with many people guessing that the so-called "Hammer of Boravia" is a misdirect to avoid showing Lex Luthor's classic purple and green battle armor, his armor recolored for the trailer to keep the secret.

That's not impossible, but the fact is, the armor doesn't look much like any veౠrsion of Luthor's armor, regardless of color scheme. And we've also seen armored Luthor troops in purple and green armor of their own, which also doesn't resemble this.

Maybe Gunn pulled t🌠he same trick Marvel Studios once played on viewers by subbing in Hulk in the trailer for Avengers: Infinity Wars in scenes that actually featured the Hulkbuster armor in the final movie. But would DC fork over the money and manpower it takes to fake a whole CG character? Probably not, especiall𒁏y considering Marvel's bait-and-switch was the subject of a lawsuit.

It may be more likely that 𓆏there is in fact a comic inspiration behind the Hammer of Boravia - just not one that's readil𓂃y visible without a bit of digging.

Rocket Red #4 launching into the sky

That character is Rocket Red, or in fact the Rocket Red Brigade, a team of armored supersoldiers who served as the heroes of the USSR in the '80s DC Universe, one of whom even went on to join the Justice League International - a team that also included Superman's Green Lantern, Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), and which was organized by Maxwell Lord, who is played by Sean Gunn in Superman and in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Peacemaker season 2.

If you look closely at the Hammer of Boravia's armor, it features a sash-like stripe across the torso flanked by a star - the same emblem of t൩he Rocket Red Brigade, but with gold swapped in for red, since the USSR hasn't been a thing since the early '90s.

Is the Hammer of Boravia definitely a Rocket Red palette-swap? We'll never know unless James Gunn someday spills the beans on the character's official inspiration. But the connection isn't so far-fetched, given the aesthetic similarities and the fact that Gunn is already drawing heavily on the cast of Juᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚstice League International.

At one time, Wanda Maximoff an🐲d Vision were Marvel's premiere superhero couple as some of the main heroes of the Avengers. But their marriage fell apart, leading to Scarlet Witch being manipulaꦛted against the Avengers. Now, 50 years after they originally got married, they're finally reuniting in their own Vision and Scarlet Witch limited series that brings them back together under mysterious circumstances.

We've got an early preview of interior pages from The Vision and the Scarlet Witch𝄹 #1 by writer Steve Orlando, artist Lorenzo Tammetta, colorist Ruth Redmond, and letterer Travis Lanham๊ in which Wanda comes face to face with The Powers That Be, one of the foremost divine forces in the Marvel Universe, before taking on a gang of demonic bikers known as the Dead Wings MC.

Check it out:

"REUNITED... UNDER FATAL CIRCUMSTANCES! Mysterious doors are opening all over the world, drawing people in with promises of miracles and reunio🧸ns with lost loved ones. Marvel's original star-crossed lovers reunite for the 50th Anniversary of their wedding!"

Vision and Scarlet ﷽Witch have been apart since the late '90s, and after Wanda actually destroyed Vision in Avengers: Disassembled, it seemedꦺ like they might never reunite, even after Vision was reassembled.

For the last coupl♔e years, th꧂ey've been slowly drifting back together, with their new reunion limited series seeming to indicate that there's a better chance than ever that they could truly get back together sooner, rather than later.

It's well known to fans that Superman's greatest weakness is Kryptonite, the elemental remnants of his destroyed homeworld Krypton. But there's a whole spectrum of different colors of Kryptonite each with their own effects on Superman's physiology, and now W. Maxwꦅell Prince, Martín Morazzo, and Chris O'Halloran, the creators of 🍌the hit horror comic Ice Cream Man, are creating a Superman story that will expose the Man of Steel to all manner of Kryptonite.

Appropriately title🅷d Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum, the DC Black Label limited series will run for five issues, each of which will show the effects of a different type of Kryptonite as Superman makes his way through what DC describes as an "existential superhero fantasy/horror" story that will actually introduce several new varieties of the deadly element.

Here's a gallery of interior pages from the new series, along with a series of variant covers by variant covers by Tula Lotay, Juan Ferreyra, a fo♑il variant cover by Wes Craig, and a variant cover by Alex Eckman-Lawn:

"Four new Kryptonites have been discovered in deep space, and Superman needs to know just what, exactly, they do to him - lest the colorful rocks of his home planet fall into evil hands!" reads DC's official description. "With Batman at his side, this DC Black Label Supermꦯan five-issue event explores the consequences of each never-before-seen variety of Kryptonite—all in the formal, and boundary-pushing fashion, that Prince, Morazzo, and O'Halloran are celebrated for."

"We've developed a reputation for pretty left-of-center experimentation, with respect to comics storytelling," says writer Maxwel▨l Prince in a statement. "and this is basically what we're doing over the 5 issues of Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum: using our unique voice in comics to tell a Supes yarn that's both strange and t🦋imeless - out there and also totally grounded. You might know what Green, Red and Black Kryptonite does to Superman, but what about Purple? Or Cobalt? Or Speckled?"

Nearly 50 years ago, Marvel published one of its first collected editions in 1976's Bring on the Bad Guys, a now classic tome that brings together the origin stories of some of Marvel's best known and most dangerous villains with new introductions from Stan Lee, some of which established apocryphal stories about the r🔯eal world origins of the characters that have since become comic industry legend.

Now, in 2025, writer Marc Guggenheim is leading the charge for a new Bring on the Bad Guys comic event which puts those same characters - Doctor Doom, Greeꩲn Goblin, Abomination, Loki, Red Skul𝄹l, Dormammu, and Mephisto - in the spotlight for a series of seven one-shots that feature each of those classic villains in the lead of their own one-shots.

Newsarama caught up with Guggenheim ahead of the first one-shot, June 18's Bring on the Bad Guys: Doom #1,💝 digging into the conflict between Doom and Mephisto that ropes in a whole host of classic Marvel villains, what it's like working with a whole team of creators across multiple one-shots for the event, and of course, a bit more info about the new villain Sister Sorrow who makes her debut in the event.

We've also got your first look at some🦋 pages from Bring on the Bad Guys: Doom #1, as well as Ken Lashle♒y's newly revealed variant cover for Bring on the Bad Guys: Mephisto #1.

Newsarama: Marc, Bring on the Bad Guys is all about celebrating classic Marvel villains. What makes these characters so unique and so special?

Marc Guggenheim: I think it's a combination of a 🐲few factors. First, for folks of a certain age - like me - there's a great deal of nostalgia and affection for the original Bring on the Bad Guys Fireside book. And then when you consider the lineup of villains in that book, they really represent the crème de la crème of classic, old school Marvel.

These guys were the foundational antagonist꧋s for the whole Marvel Universe, and they have remained, really, the big bads - primary antagonists - the cornerstone characters of the Marvel Uꦇniverse.

Doctor Doom is one of the big headliners of Bring on the Bad Guys, kicking off the event. What is it like writing him as he's rising to a higher profile than ever?

It's such a delight to write Doom. I only 🐽got to write him for a little bit during my Blade run, and this is my first time where I really get to sink my teeth into him. The best villains are the heroes of their own stories, and there's no one who encapsulates that better than Victor Von Doom.

In addition to the classic villains, there's a new character debuting in all this. What can you tell us about Sister Sorrow?

One of the thingsဣ I love to do, in addition to playing with the toys in the toy box, is add a toy of my own to the mix. In thinking about the villains that comprise the bad guys of Bring on the Bad Guys, the absence of a female antagonist was incredibly glaring to me. So I set a goal for myself of creating a female villain who could literally and figurativꦺely go toe-to-toe with these heavyweights.

Bring on the Bad Guys: Doom #1

I'll leave it to readers to determine if I've succeeded, but I can say that Sister Sorroꦍw was great fun to write. She's not evil per se. Rather, she made a literal de♏vil's bargain and is doing her best to navigate that lousy situation. She's also a total bad ass.

You're working with Stefano Rafaele on Bring on the Bad Guys: Doom. What makes him the perfect artist for a Doctor Doom tale?

This is my first time working with Stefano and, I have to say, it's been an absolute joy. Stefano has this really unique style that is clean💧 despite also having a rough line to it. The result is art that is widescreen enough for a Marvel event like this one, but with a "grunginess" that really speaks to our over🧜all theme of evil.

Bring on the Bad Guys: Doom #1

On that note, there's a whole team of writers and artists working alongside you to bring all these one-shots to print. What's it been like bringing that team together and seeing this project through?

This has been so much fun. First, serious kudos and thanks to the huge roster of Marvel editors who cast the various writers for all of the one-shots. Some are new voices to me while others are friends I've known for a while. It's a murderer's row of writing talent. As som💯e people know, I got my start as a writer in television, where teams of writers are the norm. For the past five years, however, I haven't worked in a writers room, so this was a wonderful chance to stretch those muscles again.

Bring on the Bad Guys: Doom #1

My approach was very much the same as when we did the live-action Crisis on Infinite Earths event on the CW: I tried to fashion a story skeleton that would allow the writers to bring their own creativity in and tell great stories about these amazing villains. If it all comes together (and I think it has), it's due to their inspired writing. ♔But if the whole isn't greater than the sum of its parts, that's on me.

Doom is kicking off Bring on the Bad Guys, but Mephisto is at the heart of the story. What can you tell us about his goals for the Marvel Universe?

We're introducing a new object to the Marvel Universe: The Soul Forge, which gives control over all souls in Hell and on Earth to whoever wields it. I wanted something that had se⛄rious, legitimate power to it - an object worthy of Doom and Mephisto scheming and fighting over it.

Bring on the Bad Guys: Mephisto #1

Bottom line, what do you want to say to fans going into Bring on the Bad Guys?

This is a real labor of love for all involved. On one level, we're just trying to tell a cool, se😼lf-contained Marvel Universe story that's worthy of being considered an "event." At the same time, we've worked in a lot of Easter eggs and visual callbacks to the stories that appear in the original Bring on the Bad Guys. I'm looking ahead to when the entire event is collected between two covers with the intention that it can stand side-by-side with Stan Lee's iconic volume.

Bring on the Bad Guys features some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Marvel villains of all time.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Robert Downey, Jr. has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo from the set of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Avengers: Doomsday, showing some of his essentials that he keeps on hand while filming 🎉- including a Doctor Doom comic that could hint at 🅠the larger plot of the film.

In the photo posted on social media, RDJ shows off a script stand with a "Doctor Doom" label on it, which holds an array of snacks, headphones, and a copy of 20💫24's Doom #1 one-shot by writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Sanford Greene.

The comic is particularly interesting, as it's not just any old Doctor Doom issue. In the story, Doom finds himself as the last man standing capable of defeating the massive, world-eating 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Galactus as he makes his way toward Earth on a mission of fully destroying all of reality in order 👍to remake it anew.

That's especially worth noting given how big a role Galactus plays in the upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fantastic Four: First Steps, which foregoes bringing in Doom in favor of having the villain introduced in Avengers: Doomsday. I🌸nstead, the FF will go up against Galactus as he comes to devour the FF's alternate Earth.

From what we've seen so far in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:post-credits sequence of Thunderbolts*, the FF a🌱re making their way to the MCU at the e🤪nd of their film - so could that mean that their world is devoured by Galactus, and that he's following them to the MCU?

It's not so far-fetched, especially with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow Doomsday. In 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:2015's Secret Wars comic, a race of beings known as the Beyonders from outside the Multiverse set about destroying every reality in existence one by one, with only Doom able to st🎀and in their way𒆙. Could Galactus be the stand-in for the Beyonders? A threat only Doom can face?

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, followed by Avengers: Doomsday in May 2026. For much more action check out our guides to all the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming superhero movies and all the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming movies heading our way this year.

The natural phenomenon of certain types of cordyceps fungus taking over the nervous system of other living things, like ants, has been extrapolated into some truly terrifyin♏g horror tales, most notably in the current smash hit streaming series The Last of Us, which is of 💦course based on the also-smash-hit video game franchise. Now, in Daredevil #21, the Man Without Fear is facing a similar kind of fungus-zombie, who seems to have a connection to one of Matt Murdock's weirdest and most dangerous foes.

Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #21

Daredevil #21 by writer Saladin Ahmed, artists José Lui🔯s Soares, Carlos Nieto, and Oren Junior, colorists Jesus Aburtov and Erick Arciniega, and letterer Clayton Cowles picks up where the previous issue left off, with Matt Murdock infected by a strange, psychedelic fungus and shoved in a holding pen with other infected people.

Quickly overcoming his hallucinations, Murdock dons his recently revived Daredevil armor, helping to free the other captives. But the problem isn't justꦍ localized to the building where they were being held, as Daredevil uses his super-senses to track a massive underground network of the strange, psychedelic fungus.

Daredevil #21

Tꦡracing it all the way across the city, Daredevil descends into the basement of a building that is fully overgrown with the fungus. There he encounters several people whose bodies have been taken over by it, turning them into cree🐽py, mindless mushroom zombies – much like how the cordyceps fungus in The Last of Us reanimates the bodies of people it infects.

Daredevil fights his way through the mushroom zombies, taking care not to injure them too badly in the hopes the infe🃏cted people can be saved.

As Daredevil reaches the🧜 core of the fungus pit, a voice speaks out to him from the fungus itself, taunting him. He quickly🔯 finds the source of the voice – a super creepy mushroom man, whose purple pallor seems to indicate he's got some kind of connection to the Purple Man.

Daredevil #21

The Purple Man is of course Zebediah Killgrave, a brutal sadist with the power of mind control who is also an arch-enemy of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Jessica Jones (🌱portrayed by David Tenant in Jessica Jones season one). He was killed by Wilson Fisk in the story Devil's Reign, but as we all know, death in comics is rarely permanent.

Could this new fungus-based villain be an evolved version of the Purple Man, or at least somehow connected to him? Perhaps some kind of product of his decaying body? The solicit text for June ༒4's Daredevil #22 hints at a "familiar face" behind the fungus, so it seems entirely possible.

Purple Man is one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Daredevil villains of all time.

Doctor Doom's personal Avengers have a big secret - they may not be on his side at all. Drawn fro༺m timelines where Doom rules supreme, the so-called Superior Avengers are not allies of Doom as they claim, but enemies sent to take him out.

In Superior Avengers #5 by writer Steve Foxe and artists Luca Maresca and Kyle Hotz, that conflict comes to a head as Doom's heir Kristoff Vernard may find himself at the wrong end of a knife, as shown on the issue's main cover by RB Silva, seen here aloꦦngside Kyle Hotz's variant cover:

"KILLMONGER STRIKES! Is thiဣs a sign of bu🥂dding romance? Or MURDER?" reads Marvel's official description of Superior Avengers #5. "The pieces are falling into place, and the team is ready for their true mission to begin. But who is playing who?"

As stated in the solicitation text above, the a🐼ssassin Kristoff is currently locking lips with on the cover is in fact an alt-reality version of Killmonger, who is one of Doom's secret enemies mಞasquerading as one of his personal Avengers.

All of the Superior Avengers are alt-reality versions of well known characters, including Doctor Octopus, Abomination, Ghost, Onslaught, and finally Malekith, who can be seen on Hotz's variant cover in the gallery above. The "Superior" moniker in Marvel Comics is usually used to denote characters who straddle the line between hero and villain, which certainly applies to the anti-heroe🏅s of the Superior Avengers.

Superior Avengers #5 goes on sale August 6, with just one more issue 🉐in the limited series to go after that.

Eisner Award-winning creators Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott are returning to DC to pull off the heist of a lifetime – stealing from the Justice L🅷eague.

Rucka𒁏 will write and Scott will draw a new limited series titled Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League, in which the two feline villains recruit a team of villains that the publisher is billing as "the perfect heist crew" to steal from DC's premiere superh🅷ero team.

Rucka and Scott are꧙ joined by color artist Annette Kwok and letterer Troy Peteri for the heist which will send the villains into Justice League territory to steal "one of the most dangerous devices in the DCU."

Black Cat is one of Marvel's most popular anti-heroes, with a reput👍ation as a master thief that has often put her at odds with Spider-Man and even the Avengers. But now, she's trying her hand as a superhero in a new ongoing title from writer G. W♉illow Wilson, co-creator of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, and artist Gleb Melnikov, recently known for his work on Amazing Spider-Man, along with color artist Brian Valenza.

In the new series, which spins out of the current volume of Amazing Spider-Man, Felicia will find herself at odds with many of Spider-Man's classic villains as s♎he embarks on a new career as a hero, including the Lizard and even Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin. Still, the question lingers as to whether she's doing all this out of the goodness of her heart or if she's got an ulterior motive related to a big he𒐪ist.

Here's a gallery of covers for Black Cat #1 by Adam Hughes, Jeehyung Lꦿee, Peach Mom♑oko, and Simone Di Meo:

"SUPER-THIEF, SUPER…HERO?! Felicia Hardy is the BLACK CAT, the world's slyest and most skilled super-th🔴ief! She loves a good score. The longer the odds – the better!" reads Marvel's official description of Black Cat #1. "But her entire world turned upside down after SPIDER-MAN's brutal battle with HELLGATE in Amazing Spider-Man #8-9, so Felicia is turning over a new leaf as New York City's newest…super hero?! The first super villain on her list – THE LIZAR🅘D! But will the Black Cat risk it all after her do-gooding moral high ground attracts dangerous attention from the lowest of the city's underworld? Easy, KINGPIN OF CRIME, she's still skimming off the top – honest! Don't miss the winding road of twists and turns, laughs and mind-bending action of BLACK CAT's next exciting chapter!"

Black Cat will mark Wilson's first Marvel title since the end of her final volume of Ms. Marvel in 2019. She re𒆙turned to Marvel in 2024 with a story starring Black Cat for the anthology title Spider-Man: Black Suit & Blood #4, which inspired the laun❀ch of the new Black Cat title.

"As soon as Spider-Man: Black Suit & Blood dropped and people saw the Black Cat story, readers began to ask me 'When are you going to write more Felicia?' Well, the answer is: right now," Wilson says in a statement. "Black Cat is so much fun to work with. She's a supporting character with main char꧑acter energy. And she has such a rich history that there ꧒are tons of tantalizing story threads to pull on."

"I was itching to draw more of Felicia after finishing my first Spider-Man issue, so when [Ed🔯itor] Tom Groneman asked if I was interested in working on the BLACK CAT series, I typed 'YES!' faster than a lightning bolt," adds Melnikov. "Black leather, street-level fights, and the chance to draw our favorite usual suspects from Spidey's rogues gallery? S𒁏ign me up! Not to mention I'm very excited to work with Willow and color artist Brian Valenza."

"Working on Ghost Rider Vs. 🐭Galactus #1 was an amazing experience. I always enjoyed reading JM Straczynski and wanted to be able to work on something with him one day, so when they asked me to draw this one-shot, I knew it was going to be something special," Ferreyra tells Newsarama.

To really make the one-shot feel like a special event, Ferreyra employs multiple styles and v♍arious media 🐓across the different settings of the story.

"Ghost Rider is a favorite of mine and reading the script and finding out that this story was going to be set in the '70s made it even more exciting," he explains. "I was able to divide the comic in two parts aesthe💯tically. In the first part where we meet Ghost Rider, I tried to emulate how the book would look like if it came out during those years, with minimal color palette, halftone patterns, brush strokes, etc.

"Then when we move into space, I switched to a more artsy style with watercolors, color pencils, and digital to deliver something weird and fantastiꦓcal. The story is pretty cool too, I had a blast doing it and I hope the ไreaders enjoy it as much as I did working on it!"

Following months of development, DC Studios is apparently calling off its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:planned Sgt. Rock film, at least for now. According to , the film, which has struggled to find a lead to play the eponymous sol🔥dier, has been backburnered, with reports suggesting it will either be postponed to a potential shooting 2026 schedule, or potentially canceled outright.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sgt. Rock would have been helmed by Challengers director Luca Guadanino, with Daniel Craig, who worked with Guadanino on his film Queer, originally on board to star as the army hero who has a history alongside the superheroes of the DC Universe. However, Craig dropped out, leading to a flurry of potential castings, with Colin Farrell the last actor to b🔯e attach𒆙ed to the role.

The film was written by Justin Kuritzkes, who wrote Guad🌺anino's films Challengers and Queer, whose script was rep🍎ortedly considered so strong that it helped fast track the script into the DC Studios slate.

It's unclear exactly why the film has been backburnered, with reports indicating that DC Studios balked at the film's relatively small $70 million budget, perhaps because Guadanino's actio🌞n chops were in question.

The script reportedly centered on a World War II era plot in which Sgt. Rock teams with a French resistance fighter (likely Mademoiselle Marie, an ally of Rock's from comics) team up to track down the Spear of Destiny, an artifact suppo𓂃sedly used to stab Jesus Christ when he was being cruci🌺fied.

In DC history, Nazi leadership was obsessed with finding the Spear of Destiny during WWII as a way to counteract the many American superheroes who joined forces as th💟e DC Universe's first superhero team, the Justic🦹e Society of America.

The new DC Universe kicked off with Max's Creature Comforts animated streaming series, and continues with Superman, its first film, in July. In the meantime, check out our guide to the other 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming DC movies on the way in 2025 and beyond.

DC's Absolute Universe has reinvented many of DC's most popular heroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Flash, with new concepts that turn the stories we know on their heads. But the most transformative Absolute title on the 𒀰stands yet is Absolute Martian Manhunter by writer Deniz Camp, artist Javier Rodriguez, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Taking a wild, psychedelic approach to the eponymous character, Absolute Martian Manhunter completely reinvents the entire concept of one of DC's oldest heroes in a way that feels like the best argument yet for DC's Absolute line. And with Absolute Martian Manhunter #2 out now, I'm incredibly excited about the artistic potential that ൩the comic rꦕepresents for DC.

Absolute Martian Manhunter #1

Many of DC's Absolute relaunches have had radical new takes on their heroes, but they ultimately take familiar forms - the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:last son of a dead world, the only warrior standing between humans and the monsไters of myth, a traumatized man training his body and mind to rid his city oꦜf corruption, and so on.

But Absolute Martian Manhunter takes t🌞he reinvention of its hero even further, tur🍷ning the extra terrestrial hero into a being even more alien than the classic version who debuted all the way back in 1955.

In the Absolute Universe, the Martian Manhunter isn't technically a "Martian" at all - it's a non-physical being from a planet so far from Earth that it may as well be another dimension who communicates through clouds of rainbow-colored psychedelic sm🔯oke.

This being is psychically bonded with officer John Jones when Jones goes through a life-and-death experience that leaves them inextricably connected. The action escalates as the so-called "martian" tries to use its powers of precognition to goad Jones into averting a tr♛agedy, while Jones tries to simply make sense of the impossible visioღns unfolding before his eyes.

Absolute Martian Manhunter #2

It's all gorgeously rendered by Javier Rodriguez, who takes the art from pencils to colors, a rare undertaking for a comic artist. Rodriguez starts from a tried-and-true comic style that channels 🍰the fami🧔liar tone of the Silver Age while also blasting it into psychic space with waves of color and blasts of violence that jar both the characters and reader loose from any sense of comfort.

In both art and story, Absolute Martian Manhunter feels like a serious attempt to both embrace the '50s sci-fi vibes of Joseph Samachson and Joe Certa's original creation while also using more modern theories of extraterrestrial exis♌tence to take the character in a totally new direction.

Like Jack Kirby, the all-time great writer/artist who created and co-created most of the Marvel Universe along with a go♔od chunk of DC as well, Camp channels popular modes of esoterꦅic thought into Absolute Martian Manhunter.

In Kirby's case, this toꦏok the form of the secret, alien history of the Marvel Universe using ideas drawn from America occultist Edgar Cayce and his contemporaries who wrote on lost mystical societies such as Atlantis and Lemuria, both long since incorporated into Marvel lore.

Absolute Martian Manhunter #2

For Camp, this seems to mean embracing ideas pioneered by the likes of John Keel, best known for his modern occult journalistic tome The Mothman Prophecies, with aliens that are less physical beings in f♓lying craft as in the popular imagery of the '50s, and more psychic beings from beyond the veil of physical reality taking shape in the popular consciousness.

Whether it's Camp's direct intent to channel these ideas, along with even more esoteric concepts like the idea of spiritual beings who impart morality to special receivers from another dimension, theꦡy come through on the page, culminating in the most daring and welcome reinvention of the Absolute DC Universe yet.

Absolute Martian Manhunter #3 goes on sa൩le May 28.

Everyo𝐆ne knows Eddie Brock, the original host of Venom. But in comics, the Venom symbiote has a long legacy of hosts, including none other than Peter Parker's notorious frenemy Eugene 'Flash' Thompson. Now, Tony Revolori, who portrays Flash in the MCU, is opening up about his hope that he could s💜omeday take on the role of Venom on the big screen.

"Yeah, you know, look, I've read the comics that everyone's read," Revolori tells . "I would be rꦐeally, really f***ing excited to do something like that. That would be really cool. I have no idea what or if or when or maybe, and we'll see. Look, the hope is to do it, the dream is to do it. And we'll see if it ever happens. And if it doesn't, they're making great shit regardless that I will watch over and over and over again, and I'm just happy to have been a part of it."

In comics, Flash Tho🐽mpson goes on to become a highly-trained military operative who loses his legs in combat. He then volunteers for an experimental program which bonds hi꧑m with the Venom symbiote while helping him maintain full control over its more homicidal urges.

As Agent Venom, Flash Thompson𒆙 goes on to become part of the Secret Avengers, eventually becoming the Avengers' liaison with the Guardians of the Galaxy and adventuring in space.

Currently in comics, Flash Thompson is Agent Anti-Venom, bonღded with a special symbiote that has powers which counteract those of 𒊎normal symbiotes.

Revolori last portrayed Flash Thompson in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home. It has yet to be announced whether he'll return for the recently announced 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will put Peter Parker in a new con𝓰text after the events of No Way Home took him away from his friends and family.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Leader was the big villain of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Captain America: Brave New World, with actor Tim Blake Nelson undergoing a practical make up transformation to embody the grotesquely mutated character. But the Leader almost looked t💝otally different, with an original make up scheme that more closely resembled his original comic book appearance.

Ori🔥ginally developed by Atlanta based special effects house Blue Whale Studios, the first take on the make up for Sam Sterns/the Leader was a bit more straightforward, with an enlarged cranium and sickly green skin, but none of the exposed, wrinkly brains or more mutated features of the film's f🦩inal design.

The original design was revealed by Blue Whale on I🌼nstagram, as you can see below. Be sure to click through for a video of the prosthetics being applied to actor Tim Blake Nelson.

A photo posted by on

Interestingly enough, the origina🌜l make up scheme actually resembles the Leader's classic comic book look quite closely, echoing his first appearance in 1964's Tales to Astonish #62. That said, the final version also resembles comics, but it takes its queues from the Leader's more recent appearances in the modern hit comic Immortal Hulk.

The Leader was one of the MCU's most long-awaited villains, having been seeded all the way back in 2008's The Incredible Hulk, in which Sam Sterns, then a normal human, is exposed to Bruce Banner's Gamma-irradiated blood. Captain America: Brave New World establishes that Sterns was locked in a secret prison by General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross to develop a cure for ꦗa fatal heart conditionꦑ while also developing special tech.

The next Marvel movie is Thunderbolts* which hits the big screen on May 1 in the UK and May 2 in the US as the final movie in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel Phase 5. OK, are you ready for some big brain comic weirdness? Marvel Comics is releasing a very real Fantastic Four comic by returning FF writer 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Matt Fraction and artiꦓst Marc Buckingham that also exists within the reaཧlity of the MCU, as announced via .

No, I don't mean the comic is set in MCU continuity, that's been done plenty of times. In this case, I'm speaking far more literally. The comic, which shares its title with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is meant to be the same comic that the Fantastic Four themselves publish through their Future Foundat🌳ion in the world of the MCU - meaning real world fans will b♛e reading the same Fantastic Four comic that the fictional people of the MCU are reading.

Here's the cover by artist Phil Noto, which recreates Jack Kirby's cover for 1961♑'s original Fantastic Four #1:

The Fantastic Four: First Steps #1

Judging by the trailers, which have featured FF toys and shirts, merchandising seems to be an important aspect of the FF's presence in their reality (which is a separate world of the Multiverse than the main MCU reality). And the concept of there being comics about the heroes of the Marvel Universe published in their own reality is nothing new in terms of comics themselꦡves.

In the world of Marvel Comics, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:there is a Marvel Comics which was founded to tell the stories of the heroes in a medium that can capture the larger-than-life nature of the🍒ir adventures in a wa💧y that simple print journalism can't.

This does raise the kind of funny question of whether Matt Fraction and Marc Buckingham, who drew inspiration from the film's production designer Kasra Farahani and even visited the set of the film, also exist in the MCU as comic creators. Indeed, 🍃the Fantastic Four's original creators Jack Kirby and Stan Lee even wrote themselves into their own comics as the creators of the in-universe comics as well, so there's definitely preceden🙈t.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps the comic will be released July 2, just ahead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps the movie, which hits theaters July 25 to kick off 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel Phase 6.

In the meantime, get up to speed with our guide to all the other 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming superhero movies still to come from both Marvel and DC.

Ryan No🐼rth is about to launch his second volume of the main Fantastic Four title alongside artist Humberto Ramos (whose pages can be seen below), with a new adventure that sends the four members of the team to different places in time.

In North's original FF volume, the team went in separate directions trying to find themselves after a terrible tragedy. Now, they're trying to find each other in the wake of the current One World Under Doom status quo in which t🎐he team's greatest enemy, Doctor Doom, has conquered the world.

"They don't stay apart for nearly as long this time!" North tells Newsarama. "Last time it was a choice they made, and we met them after it💙 happened: this🦂 time it's something that happens to them, and we see it happen, with stakes that are much more immediate. It puts them in a situation where they're not going to survive unless they save each other! But in both cases, it gives new readers a chance to know each of the members of the Fantastic Four individually, so they can better experience them as a group."

Meanwhile, the team's kids, Franklin and V🅷aleria Richards and Jo-Venn and Nicki Masters-Grimm, are hot on the trail of their parents,𒊎 though things may not work out as they hope.

𝔉"They don't actually know it's happening initially - you'll see why in the issue - but once 🌱they find out they are, of course, eager to participate," North says. "But is that the best idea? Almost certainly not."

The new volume arrives just in time♒ for the blockbuster Fantastic Four MCU reboot movie, setting the wind at the FF's back with a higher public profile than they've had in years.

"Oh, you just hope they support each other!" North says of the timing of the new comic alongside the film. "A new #1 is a nice, accessible way for new readers to start reading - and it says🎉 so right on the cover."

"I've been mindful that every issue is someone's f൲irst issue throughout my time wr🧜iting the book, but it's a lot more intimidating to try to start with issue #27 than it is with #1," he explains. "I'm hoping that there's a bunch of people out there who might give this book a peek and experience how cool the FF can be - especially if they just saw the film!"

Who is "the X-Man that never was?" That's the question Marvel♍ is asking heading into its upcoming Giant♏-Size X-Men #1 one-shot that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the original 1975 comic that introduced a whole new X-Men team.

Whoever she is, we've now got our first ꦓglimpse of her silhouette and her apparent power signature in a new teaser image that gives just a bit more context for the "never-before-seen mutant" who was apparently invited to join the classic team that was formed in the original 1975 Giant-Size X-Men #1.

Here's the teaser image by Luciano Vecchio:

Giant-Size X-Men #1 teaser

As you can see, she'🤡s got some kind of pink energy powers, but we don't know much if anything about who she is - at least not until she's revealed in writer Al Ewing and artist Sara Pichelli's back-up story in the new Giant-Size X-Men #1.

There is one possible theory for the identity of the "X-Man who never was," however far-fetched it may be. Kamala Khan/Ms. Marveꦡl is the star of the series of Giant-Size one-shots that kick of🤡f with Giant-Size X-Men #1, with every issue taking her to anot༒her point in X-Men history.

It's not impossible that the "X-Man that never was" is a time-traveling Kamala Khan, cast into a new role on her journey to the past. And though she doesn't ha🦄ve energy powers right now, Kamala does have a still yet-to-be-revealed mutant power tied to her technically dormant X-gene.

Marvel does seem to be going out of its way to frame this as an all-new character though, so putting Kamala Khan in 🐈that role may be a bridge too far. Whoever it is, the new character will return in a new X-Men title later this year, though what it is has🌊n't been announced.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nine Sols is one of the best Metroi🀅dvania games of recent memory, with its so-called "taopunk" setting melding sci-fi elements with a futuristic Asian-fantasy style. And now, the story is continuing with an official prequel manga that's already available to read in multiple languages.

The prequel, drawn by artist Yang Chi-Cheng and produced by manga⛦ platform MOJOIN, consists of many story elements developed alongside the game that weren't able to be fit into the final plot.

"When we were working on Nine Sols, our team had many ideas for the story of Lear, but due to time constraints and other factors, we weren't able to include everything," re✃ads Nine Sols developer of the surprise prequel manga, titled The Way of Lear: ⛦Prelude.

"However, a year ago, by chance, we established a partnership with MOJOIN, and we were fortun♋ate enough to meet the amazing artist, Yang Chi-Cheng," it continues. "As a result, what was once an extravagant idea for us gradually became a reality through the collective efforts of everyone involved, especially with the invaluable contr🅠ibutions of Mr. Yang. This allowed the story of Lear and the world of Penglai to be further extended."

The story will go all the way back to the very beginnings of Nine𓆉 Sols' m❀ythic saga, which starts 500 years before the events of the game.

"Ages ago, long before the events of Nine Sols, two Solarians forever altered the course of Penglai's history," reads the official explanation. "One, a visionary Fangshi. Everybody knows those lo-fi TV ads created by local businesses in your area – stuff like Wacky Eddie's Discount Furniture, or particularly smarmy used car salesmen. But if you lived in the Marvel Universe, your local TV commercial personality could be none other than the Thunderbolts' Red Guardian, who has a ne🐽w TV spot advertising his limo service.

Well, technically, it's a new clip of David Harbour as the Red Guardian advertising the upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Thunderbolts* 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel Studios movie, but it's a spot-on riff on♔ those kinds of classic local commercials many of us likely know from our hometowns.

I𝓰n terms of services offered, Red Guardian Limo Service caters to "business trips, school pick ups, fancy funerals, and regular funerals." And if you're worried whether the aging Red Guardian has the stamina to be your driver for a big fancy funeral, he assures viewers "I can do this all night," in reference to Captain America's famous line.

And yes, if you call the phone number displayed at the end of the commercial, you'll get a message from Red Guardian telling you to namedrop him when you buy your ꦯtickets to see Thunderbolts* – "It will be the same price, but they'll be impressed."

In real-world terms, I have to say, I'm particularly delighted by the fun Marvel Studios is having with the🌳 endlessly charming cast of Thunderbolts*. It feels like rolling back the clock a decade or so to the absolute height of superhero movie mania, when every film felt like an event.

Does that mean Thunderbolts* is guaranteed to be a great movie?൩ Definitely not, but it doesn't hurt to have a little hype going into🍃 a big MCU release.

And coupled with the film's apparent reliance on real-life ꦰstunt work and onset practical effec🌸ts, there's a💙 lot of behind-the-scenes coolness convincing me that Thunderbolts* could have more blockbuster filmmaking to offer than another round of rote MCU green screen thrills.

Legendary comic 🗹book wizard Grant Morrison has been teasing a new superhero project from the Big Two (that's Marvel and DC) for a while now. Though details are scant, Morrison has finally revealed that it's a DC project ⛎- and what's more, the comic will mark the writer's return to Batman, a character they took to psychedelic new heights back in their original '00s era run.

"I don't need to dꦚo these thing💮s anymore, I only do it if it's something interesting," Morrison tells the (via ). "It's not Superman, but it's a Batman thing."

Morrison's Batman revolutionized the modern portrayal of the character, bringing in his son Damian, reintroducing long-lost sci-fi style elements of Batman's Silver Age era, and even apparently killing Batman in the💦 story Batman RIP (he was technically displaced in time).

While Bruce Wayne ꦺwas out of the picture, Morrison elevated Dick Grayson from Nightwing into the role of Batman. They likew🅰ise brought Bruce's son Damian Wayne on as Grayson's own Robin, introducing an exciting new dynamic where Grayson, himself the original Robin, was a more upbeat Batman with Damian Wayne's brooding Boy Wonder in tow.

Despite featuring one of the most mainstream superheroes there is, Morrison's Batman was one of their most esoteric works, digging iꦯnto concepts of brꦫainwashing, ritual magic, time travel, and long-lost evil specters of Bruce Wayne's past.

In the decade-plus since they've written Batman, Morrison hasn't gotten less mystical or mindful, so it's particularly exciting to consider wha♛t their approach to the Caped Crusader will be in the modern era.

Matt Fraction will soon take over the main Batman title, meaning two of the most acclaimed modern comic writers might be writing Batman at the same time.

"THE SWIMSUIT SPECIAL RETURNS!" boasts Marvel's official solicitation text for Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, and Rivals #1. "Roxxon Comics is at it again when they release their own UNAUTHORIZED SWIMSUIT SPECIAL! Wasp is on the case and seizes the opportunity for Marvel’s heroes to do their OWN s🍷wimwear fashion shoot all over 𒀰the world! But fear not, True Believers, we know what you're REALLY here for! This super-sized special features splash page after splash page of gorgeous art, but with a story so you can pretend you’re 'reading it for the articles'…"

Marvel's really not shying away from the basest appeal of superheroes in swimsuits there. But the publisher is hiding it in a veneer of satire thಞanks to its mention of Roxxꦕon Comics.

For those who may have miss🅺ed it, in 2024, Marvel "relaunched" Thor as an extremely satirical corporate superhero named Chad Ham🤡mer as part of a storyline in which the fictional Marvel Comics of the Marvel Universe was bought by evil megacorporation Roxxon.

It was pretty silly s💜tuff, and now Marvel is returning to that well to put a humorous spin on the swimsuit special in a framing story from writers Tim Seeley and Tony Fleecs, and artist Nick Bradshaw, which may be exactly what the new version needs to separate it from the well-worn cheesecake of the '90s edition.

What is Spider-Man's worst nightmare? Going up against basically his entireꦯ rogues' gallery at once has to be close to the top of the list, and that's exactly what Spidey seems to be up against in this early preview oꦆf interior pages from Amazing Spider-Man #2.

The pages pick up right where the end of Amazing Spider-Man #1 left off, with 🌃Peter Parker suddenly coming face-to-face with an entire cadre of his worst enemies, going on the run across the city as villains such as Kraven, Carnage, Doctor Octopus, and many more try to run him down.

But is all as it seems? There's a lot of evidence that Peter's hallucinating, and that the villains may be all in his head – and what's more, h𝓰is hallucinations seem to be connected to whatever it is that sent Rhino into a frenzy in Amazingꩲ Spider-Man #1.

Here's the gallery of pages by writer Joe Kelly, artist Pepe Larraz, colorist Marte Gracia, and letterer Joe Caramagna, along wi🦋th the cover b🍸y Larraz and Gracia:

"RH💖INO RAMPAGE! What amped Rhino up from criminal super-bruiser to rampaging disaster machine?" asks Marvel's official solicitation for Amazing Spider-Man #2. "We aren't spilling, but 🍌it just amped up Spider-Man! That's right, Spider-Man is going in and out of control of his senses trying to figure out how to get full control of his body. And the only people who can help are Norman Osborn and… Peter's long-lost childhood best friend?!"

Peter's childhood friend Brian Nehring came back into his life 🅠in Amazing Spider-Man #1, helping Peter get a new job after he recently left OsCorp.

And speaking of OsCorp, Norman Osborn announced in the previous issue that he n♑ow plans to dedicate all of OsCorp's operations to help make up for his previous crimes as the Green Goblin and as director of HAMMER.

Writer Si Spurrier is teaming up with artist 🐷Vanesa Del Rey, colorist John Starr, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou for a psychedelic new crime comic from Image titled The Voice 👍Said Kill.

And when I say psychedelic, I mean it, as The Voic🦹e Said Kill features a total🐻ly out there art style that channels the shroom-fueled rampage of its main character into colorful, striking art that looks completely unique.

Described as "Fargo meets Deliverance," The Voice Said Kill is a four-issue crime story set in the Louisiana bayou, with a story that pits a guy who is tripping out of his mind on psychedelic mushrooms a🅠gainst a moonshine running crime family, with a pregnant park ranger caught in the middle.

Here's a gallery of interior pag♛es from The Voice Said Kill #1, along with the main cover by Vanesa Del Rey and variants by Christian War🍷d and Tula Lotay:

"Fargo meets Deliverance in a sweaty swamp-thriller from VANESA DEL REY (Black Widow, The Creeping Below) and SI SPURRIER (Coda, X-Men)," reads Image's official solicitation text for The Voice Said Kill #1. "The wet heat of the Louisiana bayou. Alligator poachers prowl the mudbug mire. A park ranger, heavily pregnant,𒀰 raises a hateful mug of moonshine with a criminal matriarch. And one deadly sonuvabitch, out of his mind on shrooms and retribution, loads his rifle for the Human Hunt and screams down the stars. Presenting 4 issues of fever-dream cajun crime."

Writer Si Spurrier says of The Voice Said Kill, "this is a crime thriller tighter than𓂃 a drumskin." Spurrier is of course known for his work on the X-Men ℱfranchise, where he explored strange, psychic concepts of mutant religion across multiple titles in the Krakoa era, so he's no stranger to these kinds of mind-bending ideas.

And judging by Vanesa Del Rey and John Starr's art, the🥀y're the perfect collaborators to take Spurrier's ideas a step further into an even more conceptual realm of co🍸mic storytelling

The final trailer for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Thunderbolts* is here, and it's playing on the gut-wrenching emotion of the film's story, which pits the unlikely heroes of the ragtag team against The Void, one of the most🧜 powerful villains ever💫 to menace the MCU.

Ignoring the trailer's exceptionally egregious example of the modern movie trailer trope of setting the vocals of a popular song to a slow, dramatic score, it's a pretty effective clip, centering on Florence Pugh's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Yelena Belova (who takes a flying🔯 leap off the world's second tallest skyscraper) and her search for redemption as a hero.

It all culminates in a moment in which Yelena strides directly into the cloud of darkness summoned forth by The Void as her adoptive father Red Guardian and the rest of the Thunder🌊bolts look on in horror.

Will i🙈t be a leap of faith, or is Yelena about to follow in the footsteps of her sister Natasha Romanoff and make the ultimate sacrifice to save the world?

If you've somehow forgotten what happened to Natasha, the MCU's original Black Widow, the trailer reminds you that she sacrificed her very soul in Avengꩵers: Endgame to help restore the universe after Thanos destroyed half of the population - pretty big shoes to fill.

The Void is a villain who could rival Thanos in power. It's unclear what his connection may be to the Void that we've seen as a location for lost parts of the Multiverse in other MCU projects, but as in comic books, the villain of Thunderbolts is actually the dark side of the Superman-like hero 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the Sentry, AKA Bob, played by Lewis Pullman in the film.

Thunderbolts* will hit theaters on May 2. For more, see our guides on watching the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel movies in order and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Marvel timeline.

Superman director James Gunn has marked the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the debut of Superman's pal Jimmy Olsen with a photo of actor Skyler Gisondo in the role on the set of the upcoming film, revealing a better look at the inside of the Daily Planet, along with what appears to be🔴 a very silly little Easter egg.

Here's the photo. Take notice of the picture on the desk of Beck Bennett's sports reporter Steve Lombard, whic๊h appears to be an autographeꦓd picture of a house cat:

There is in fact a famous hou꧟secat in the Superman mythos, Supergirl's cat Streaky, who is a stripey orange cat with all the powers of a Kryptonian, much like Superman's dog Krypto. Is it possible that Streaky exists in the new DC Universe as well? It's not impossible, especially as we already know that Supergirl is definitely around.

Here's a closer look at the photo:

Close up photo on Steve Lombard's Daily Planet desk apparently showing a housecat

Jimmy Olsen, the Daily Planet's cub reporter, first appeared on an episode of the famed Superman radio serial that also introduced several other impo🧔rtant characters and concepts to Superman's world that were later brought into comics, including Daily Pওlanet editor-in-chief Perry White (to be played by Wendell Pierce in the upcoming film) and even Kryptonite.

In terms of other Kryptonian animals, at one point, there were actually a few, including Comet the Super-Horse and Beppo the Super-Monkey, who joined up with Kr𓃲ypto and Streaky to form the original Legion of Super-Pets, a concept that was later adapted into the 2022 animated film The League of Supღer-Pets.

James Gunn doesn't seem to be shying away from the more sci-fi oriented aspects of Superman's story with the upcoming film, even apparently 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:including Lex Luthor's♈ classic power armor, so it's definitely not impossible that there are other super-pets in the movie besides Krypto. And notoriously ar🔯rogant himbo Steve Lombard having an autographed picture of Streaky would be a pretty funny touch.

Superman hits theaters on July 11, 2025. In the meantime, keep updated with every other 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming DC movie and TV show heading our way.

Wolverine #8 is just around the corner, and while #8 may seem like an innocuous number, in terms of Legacy numbering, it's also Wolverine #400. We've got an early look at interior pages from the issue, which show Logan confronting the Adamantine, the new alter-ego now gold-plated Romulus, who is covered in a kind of a💟nti-Adamantium.

As you might imagine, that's a pretty bad deal for Wolveꦦrine, whose bones, including his claws, are notoriously coated in adamantium. Writer Saladin Ahmed, artist Martín Cóccolo, color artist Bryan Valenza, and letterer Cory Petit create the issue's main story, as well as a second feature, along with writer/artist Daniel Warren Johnson and colorist Mike Spicer on a bonus story for the oversized milestone comic.

Here's the gallery of pages, along with the cover by Jero🐠me Opeña:

"CELEBRATING 400 ISSUES OF WOLVERINE WITH THE FIGHT OF HIS LIFE!" reads Marvel's official description of Wolverine #400. "A massive issue you cannot afford to miss! WOLVERINE faces off with the ADAMANTINE! The WENDIGO is pulled into a deadly trap as a specter from Wolverine’s past emerges – and the Wolverine story you never thought you’d see begins here! PLUS: A special 🌼celebratory bonus story by DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON! Note: Several key appearances are contained in this issue."

Romulus is one of Wolverine's most enigmatic villains. Technically he's the Romulus from the myth of Romulus and Remus, twins who were raised by wolves, with Romulus going on to found the city of Rome. So yeah, t🤡hat guy is also a Wolverine villain who has traditionally showed up to mark milestones in Wolverine's story, forcing him to deal with some of the strangest sc🅰hemes he's ever been roped into.

The past and present of the DC Universe are colliding in the upcoming story We Are Yesterday, in which Justice League Unlimited and Batmꦫan/Superman: World's Finest will crossover as heroes of multiple eras take on Grodd, the psychic gorilla warlord, and his new/old incarnation of the Legion of Doom.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mark Waid is writing both titles, and along with artists Travis Moore, Clayton Henry, Dan McDaid, and Dan Mora, he's crafting a four part event that brings the underrated Grodd tཧo the forefront, pulling together threads that have been dangling throughout his Justice League Unlimited run as well as World's Finest.

Newsarama spoke with Waid about the first two chapters of We Are ♛Yesterday, with part one appearing in Batman/Superman: World's Finest #38, and part two arriving with Justice League Unlimited #6, digging into Grodd as a Justice League level threat, how We Are Yesterday ties into Waid's current work on tying all of DC history into a single cohesive timeline, and hoℱw We Are Yesterday will lead into what's next for the Justice League.

Newsarama: Mark, We Are Yesterday is the first big Justice League crossover of the current era of the DC Universe. Contrasting that with the final event of the previous status quo, Absolute Power, this story feels like a much more straightforward hero vs. villain story with the League taking on Grodd. How did you come to this concept as the way to go for this story?

Mark Waid: It actually began with the fact that World's Finest #38 and #39 and Justice League Unlimited #6 and #7 needed different artists to give the regular artists time to catch up. So I said, well, let's make i🍃t special. Let's do something where those four issues don't feel like fill-ins in their big events.

It sprang from that, and then I realized, OK, I need a menace big enough. Who can we get? Well, the Legion of Doom makes sense… Except they're not around in the current day. So how do we fix that? Everything became a 🗹domino toppling over another domino. And when it's all said and done, we've got a story.

You've done stories that connect the past and future of the DC Universe before - I'm thinking of the Devil Nezha arc that led into Lazarus Planet, for example. In the case of We Are Yesterday, the connection is even more direct between past and present. What led you to want to bring these two timelines together in such a tangible way?

Well, like you said, I like doing that with World's Finest to remind people that it is not an Elseworlds. It is not, you know, it is not out of continuity. Even though it takes place a few year😼s ago, we remind you every once in a while that it has a place in the DC Universe. So that was my st🐲arting point.

But then I started thinking about Grodd and his motivations and his goals. You know, Grodd wants something big. I m♒ean, he's got to take on the entire Justice League Unlimited. So to do that, he really wants to put the band back together, right? But he can't really. Luthor's reformed. Sinestro is off planet. You know, Joker is god only knows where - there's no way to put them together the way they are today.

But he, with the help of Airwave, he realizes he can put them back together, back in the day, go to them and say, "I got news for you. I💦'm from the f🥀uture, and not much happens in the next five years. You know, you don't make a whole lot of headway. As a matter of fact, you lose a lot of ground. So why don't you come with me to the present day, and we will shake things up."

I'm glad you brought up Grodd, because I feel like he's such an underrated villain, with so much potential to be this kind of mastermind at the heart of a threat to the entire DC Universe. I just want to talk a little bit about Grodd and how you came to him as the main threat here. Obviously you have a long history with his arch-enemy the Flash.

Well, I mean, it made sense to me, in that I like Grodd's motivation. Grodd's motivation is, humans keep screwing u♛p the world. So why do we have them? Let's make it not just Gorilla City, but Gorilla Planet.

I'm also r💟eflective of the fact that he was Flash's first really big villain. People don't remember that he appeared in three consecutive issues of Flash. When he first appeared, Mirror Master was showing up like every five issues, and you know, Captain Boomerang is showing up every 10 i🐷ssues, but Grodd right off the bat was meant to be his arch-enemy, and that's kind of fallen by the wayside over the years.

So let's get that back on the table, because he is a lot more powerful than most people give him credit for, especially now that his powers have augmented to the point where he ♐is now the most powerful telepath and mentally powered character in the DC universe.

We were talking just briefly before we started the interview about the whole team of creators that you've got working on this story. How has it been working in that kind of collaborative environment again? It's something you're very used to in the DC universe.

It's great. It requires an inordinate amount of coordination this time, because everything's being done at once. All the chapters are sort of being done by three different artists. You 𓃲got Clayton Henry, and you got Travis Moore, and you got Dan McDade, so yeah. And they're all working at the same time, so we're constantly scrambling to make sure of, you know, which version of Scarecrow this is, or how to draw the time pool or w🐼hatever.

So a lot of references are flying back and༺ forth, but everybody was very cooperative, and shared each other's pages with each other as they went, to make sure that everybody knew where they stood and everything could be consistent.

Actually, we do have four artists because Dan Mora has jဣoined the last chapter. Everyone's bringing their A-game, everyone's stepping up. Everyone is not complaining that there are 35 characters on every page. God bless them. It's just so much fun to work with people who are super talented and super committed.

In the last 10 or 15 years or so, it kind of feels like DC has been reckoning a little bit with its own past, trying to fit together all these 80 years of stories into a sort of canon. How much are stories like We Are Yesterday an attempt to totally reconnect the past and present of the DC Universe. And what do you kind of see as the status quo in 2025?

Boy, there's a lot to unpack there. I think that you're right. Trust me, as the guy who is writing 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:New History of the DC Universe, it is a major undertaking to make the DC Universe as it stands now consistent, and tha📖t is something we're working hard on. Luckily, the guy who is writing New History of the DC Universe is also writing We Are Yesterday, so that helps keep all th🐽e continuity straight.

I will say this though. In the DC Universe, because of the Omega Energy that keeps popping up, not only on the Justice League Watchtower, but all over the DC Universe, time is breaking. And we've got bigger developments along those lines coming up in the next few months. Time h🌊as a problem. Since we've sealed off the Multiverse, something else is happening and time is fracturing and paradoxes are happening that nobody can figure out.

Like, why do the villains not remember what happened five years🐷 ago? Why don't the present day villains remember Grodd recruiting them in the past? None of it is an alternate timeline, thꦑings are just screwy, and that's going to be something that builds as we get to the climax of the story.

You mentioned the Omega energy, and building to the next part of the story. Obviously, that's something that kind of started with the birth of the Absolute Universe. How connected are you to what's going on over there?

Obviously, they're different realities, but you've got to be paying attention to that on some leveꦓl. And yeah, we talk all the time about the connection there, with the Darkseid Energy and with Booster Gold being lost, other developments coming up.

So while I'm not working on any of the Absolute books, because there are only so many hours💦 in a day, I am certainly plugged in. We're making this a coordinated effort.

Back to We Are Yesterday, this story is happening in part because the Justice League were betrayed by someone they trusted. Airwave.

Sadly true.

Yes, sadly true and sad for Airwave. I like that character. I hope it's not the last we'll ever see of him here.

That's really a shame, isn't it?

Grodd was pretty ruthless.

Yes.

What I want to ask though is, how will what's happening in this story and what happened with Airwave affect the Justice League Unlimited mission going forward, with this massive roster and the way they've been approaching heroes and building out the ranks?

They are going to have to re-examine their protocols, and they are going to have to be a little more judicious about vetting the candidates. At f꧂irst it was, let's throw the doors open to everybody, which was a good instinct. But Superman trusts everybody. You know you have to earn Superman's mistrust, whereas Batman is the exact opposite. You have to earn Batman's trust. And Wonder Woman is somewhere in the middle. So this is going to spill out into a confrontation between all three of them, which, by the way, gives me the idea for issue 10, which is great. I should write this down real quick.

On that note, how will We Are Yesterday kind of set up what's coming next in the DC Universe? We've heard about a crossover with the JSA, the next stages of what's going on with the Omega Energy. How is We Are Yesterday a key to that?

How do I answer this? I mean, it's absolutely key to this. The events of We Are Yesterday are a complete story. I don't want to give anybody the impression that we're 🐠only giving you part of a story that leads into the next part that, leads into the next part🐲, like you're never getting a sense of closure. It is a complete story, but there are consequences to it that will very much, starting with Justice League Unlimited #9, lead out into the next big happening in the DC Universe. So there is a definite connection there.

Doctor Doom is now th🐭e rꦯuler of the world in the Marvel Universe as part of the One World Under Doom status quo, thanks to him taking the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme from Doctor Strange. And while battle lines are being drawn that include some heroes even siding with Doom, you better believe that Tony Stark has something to say about it. In Iron Man #10, his fight against Doom will heat up as the new Iron Monger returns.

Writer Spencer Ackerman and artist Julius Ohta will bring back the new Iron Monger, revealed at the very start of their Iron Man run, who possesses a mystically powered armor with weapons that can render Tony Stark's high-tech armor inert, which is w𒊎hat led to Stark creating his current "improvised Iron Man" armor. Given that Doom himself is known for combining his high-tech armor with magic potential, it makes a lot of sense that Iron Monger would joꦅin up.

Two of the wackiest characters of the '90s are coming to Riverdale as Jay and Silent Bob find their way into the comp💯any of Archie Andrews and h𒉰is pals in a new comic. And now, we've got a pair of covers for the one-shot, written by Kevin Smith himself alongside artist Fernando Ruiz, inker Rich Koslowksi, and colorist Matt Herms, including one drawn by longtime superhero/action artist Phil Hester, who previously collaborated with Smi♏th on his Green Arrow run of the '00s, and Archie artist par excellence Dan 🃏Parent.

For those who aren't as familiar with director and writer Kevin Smith's oeuvre, he's the comedy auteur responsible 🔯for the Clerks film series, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and more films all starring himself and his burned-out buddy Jason Mewes as Jay and Silent Bob, a pair of stoner ne'er-do-wells with hearts of gold.

If that sounds a little… adult… for a pair of Archie guest starဣs, well, you're correct, as the one-shot, titlꦺed Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob, is billed specifically for mature audiences. And with Kevin Smith himself writing, I'm definitely expecting some raunchy, raucous fun.

"SNOOCHIE BOOCHIES, ARCHIE FANS!! Yes, you read that right - acclaimed writer, director, actor, producer, and podcaster Kevin Smith takes the teens you know and love from Riverdale on the wildest ride of their lives," reads Archie's official description of the comic. "What’s supposed to be a summer job at Qu🔴ick Stop for Archie Andrews turns into so much more; from a buddin🔜g friendship with co-worker Randal Graves, crashing a Pussycats concert, a potential new love interest, Jay and Silent Bob being, well, Jay and Silent Bob, and a musical number that will be burned into your brain forever."

"Plus, could Jay and Silent Bob even help Archie to finally choose between Betty and Veronica?" it asks. "SNOOGANS!! Featuring legendary Archie artists Fernando🐲 Ruiz and inker Rich Koslowksi, this is a DOUBLE-SIZED, CAN'T-MISS event FOR MATURE AUDIENCES unlike anything we’ve ever done before!"

Archie meets Jayꦫ and Silent Bob #1 goes on sale July 9.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Werewolf by Night director Michael Giacchino is returning to the character of Jack Russell for a new story. But this time, rather than a Marvel Studios Special Presentation set in the MCU, this time it's a comic book story pittin🌼g Marvel's famous werewolf against the most famous vampire of all, Dracula.

Titled Werewolf by Night: Blood Moon Rise, the one-shot comic written by Giacchino will feature art by David Messina, along with a back-up feature by Jason Loo, writer of the current Werewolf🏅 by Night: Red Band comic, as well as more bonus material that has yet to be revealed.

"It could be a lost story from the original run, in a way," Giacchino tells , who first announced the comic. "It's Dracula who has tracked him down to exact some revenge from the last time that they were togeꦚther in the comics. There's a ༺fun twist to it that I think is going to be really interesting for people who are into Jack Russell and that lore."

Giacchino also promises a third character in the mix, who he says will be "no surprise" to fans. I'm guessing it'll either by Man-Thing, thanks to the character's association with Jack Russell in the MCU, or Moon Knight, who has a history with both Dracula and J💜ack.

"I like the monster stories. I like how they huಌmanize what are otherwise described or seen by the rest of the world as awful creatures and...well, monsters," says Giacchino. "I never saw them that way. I always saw them as people with some sort of problem that they ♔needed help with. I always felt bad for them. I really did. So there's this emotional attachment to those stories, which is still with me today."

Werewolf by Night: Blood Moon Rise #1 goes on sa♛le July 30 with a cover by Ty🐭ler Kirkham, seen above.
