Although Silksong didn't get a proper trailer during the showcase, it was briefly shown as 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox revealed its two new handhelds, along with the mention that Silksong "will be available at launch when the Ally releases later this year." The two handhelds are set to launch this holiday season (as in, near Chris𒈔tmas) in select markets, but we can actually expect Silksong to arrive sooner.

As spotted by Twitter user Daily Silksong News (someone who'll no doubt be pleased to actually have some new information to feast on, and good for them), Matthew "Leth" Griffin, a marketing and publishing employee at Hollow Knight studio Team Cherry, :⛎ "I confirmed BEFORE Holiday – we are not tied to a console release." A further message clarifies that Griffin is indeed referring to "Christmas, yes."

Griffin also made this same point during the Xbox Games Showcase livestream, according to a chat screenshot from , likely captured before being drowned out by a flurr൲y of fans chanting "SKONG."

There's stil🤪l no full release date to be seen, but folks, it feels closer than ever. H🧜ang in there.

While you're here, be sure to check out our roundup of everything announced at the Xbox Games Showcase.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> After the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025 live presentation, we got a deep-dive on some of the publisher's biggest upcoming games, including Obsidian's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2. One segment zeroed in on "Choice & Reactivity" in the expanded RPG, and we were treated to a few of the backgrounds available for our custom characters. One 🤡of them is the Roustabout, a wrongly glorified loser an♉d my new favorite.

Instead of a "blank slate" stranger, explains game director Brandon Adler, The Outer Worlds 2 starts you as an Earth Directorate agent. "You can think of them as like space cowboys or space sky marshals," he says. "They're the good guys that go into places and kind of❀ fix everything that's wrong."

What kind of agent you are is🐼 up to you. This is where backgrounds come in. Your background decides "who you were prior to joining the Earth Directorate," so says the in-game menu, shaping your character's history an🥃d influencing some interactions and conversations in the rest of your playthrough.

We saw a few backgrounds today. Ex-Conv✤ict, Gambler, Lawbringer, Professor, Renegade, and Roustabout.

Lawbringer is about what it sounds like: you survived a tough upbringing and want to bring order to the colonies as a champion of the people. The Professor has a background in archaeology and is no stranger to "the more unsavory elements of artifac🌟t trafficking." As a Renegade, you're a bit of a nomadic outlaw, kinda-sorta on the run from old employers and hiding out under the Earth Directorate umbrella.

And the🧸n we have the Roustabout. "You're not quite sure what happened," its background description begins. "You simply wanted to f🍷ind a job that used your particular set of skills. Which would be 'none.' Yet, one accidental death of a well-known villain later, you're now known as a gunslinging Earth Directorate agent not to be trifled with. You often find yourself wondering if this 'Earth Directorate' has any good cashier openings."

This, folks, is one of my favorite tropes. The over-hyped hero who's inwardly an anxious, average-at-best, probably panicking dude unsure why these expectations have been heaped upon him and even lesౠs sure how to live up to them. The Outer Worlds 2 strikes me as a deeply funny game so far, I trust Obsidian to guide that tone well, and the Roustabout sounds like a perfect match for the game's universe. I'm dreaming of an agent stumbling and bumbling his way to victory through inordinately high Luck and virtually nothing else, slowly developing actual skills that may one day turn him into the hero he's thought to be, and it sounds like a great time.

The Outer Worlds 2 gets an October release date as Obsidian opens pre-orders and confirms that 2 story expansions are on their way.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Today's澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: Xbox Games Showcase lifted the veil on the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:long-rumored Persona 4 remake, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Persona 4 Revival – but it might not 🍌b🤪e the only JRPG that Atlus' P-Studio has up its sleeve.

Following up on the upcoming remake's debut trailer, P-Studio director Kazuh⭕isa Wada talks aboutဣ Persona 4 Revival in a new – a post that also discusses some of the team's future plans. First, however, Wada takes some time to dive further into the hotly anticipated details surrounding the freshly revealed remake.

"We are very pleased to announce the release of Persona 4 Revival," writes the lead.

"We look forward to sharing even more information in due time," he continues. "Persona 4 has spawned numerous spin-off works, including TV anime, Person🐓a 4 Arena, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and is a special title that has been a part of Atlus for many years and holds a personal place in my heart. We are currently working on this project with all our passion and love."

Wada goes on, stating that P-Studio is certain Persona 4 Revival will appeal to both familiar fan🌟s and new players alike: "We are confident that this will be a fresh and surprising product for both newcomers and long-time fans, and we look🔜 forward to sharing it with you all."

Then, the director adds a surprising message – one that ha꧃s Persona players (it's me, I'm Persona players) convinced that a sixth entry is underway.

"Additionally, we are actively preparing for the future development of the Persona series as a studio," concludes the lead. "We are working hard to meet the expectations of fans around the world, and our work is pro♏gressing well. Please stay tuned for more updates. We look forward to your continued support of the Persona series."

൲As one fan points out in the replies, this last bit "readsও like a soft Persona 6 announcement."

There's no telling what Wada really means with his cryptic comment there, but we manifested Persona 4 Revival with how strongly we all believed in it (or so I tell myself) – so let's try to do the same with a potential 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Persona 6 now.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ninja Gaiden 4 producer and director⛄ Yuji Nakao m🀅isses "classic" action games that seem to be all too rare nowadays, especially in an era where Soulslikes are all the rage, but he's also happy to be reviving the action-slasher subgenre with the upcoming fourquel.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is the first game in the brutally tough, spectacle fighting series in about 13 years, and a lot has changed since Ryu was last stabbing foes. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Showcase 2025 gave us just a brief new look at Ninja Gaiden 4's up🅺dated formula, alongside an October 21, 2025 release date.

"When PlatinumGames speaks to Team Ninja about this next Ninja Gaiden, we often joke that 'we've made something that really doesn't feel like a modern game—it's just too hard,'" Nakao joked in a chat with . "These days, games are trending toward being easier to play, but Ninj๊a Gaiden 4 goes in the complete opposite direction. So don't lose heart!"

Elsewhere i🌜n the interview, the lead developer reminisced about growing up during "the golden age" of classic action games that are now a rare sight. "For people of my generati🏅on, it feels like the types of games we grew up playing have become a lot less common in recent years. Instead, we've seen the rise of Soulslike games, which have certainly become very popular."

Not wanting to give anyone the wrong🐎 impression, Nakao notes that he's also🌳 a fan of your Dark Soulses and Dark Souls-like games. They're good fun. Still, he can't help but feel that a certain type of action got left behind. And the glut of Soulslikes revealed at Summer Game Fest so far is only backing him up.

"Maybe it's just my own wishful thinking, but I can't help but feel that a lot of action game fans are starting to crave that experience again," he con𒁃tin🐬ued.

"Isn't it about time we all dove back in? I really feel like Ninja Gaiden 4 has turned out to be the kind of game that could strike a chord with those fans of the genre. If it could carve෴ out its place in the history of modern slash-action, and as a new bench🐈mark for the genre, I'd be thrilled. And if Ninja Gaiden 4 could serve as a spark that reignites excitement around slash-action games, then that would be even better."

The first Grounded, while a major hit, spent two ♉years in early access, its own preview having launched in July 2020; now, the devs are looking to follow the same model.

Grounded 2's executive producer, following the Xbox Games Showcase: "Pretty much from day one we🎉 kn🅺ew we wanted to return to Game Preview for Grounded 2."

Early access is a great way for devs to develop their games based off player feedback, and while teams of playtesters are a standard part of the development process, games that have huge communities such as Grounded benef🔜it greatly from an early access period.

"Sure, it comes with som🀅e trade-offs like 'the game's not done, and it's out to the world'," 💞Morgan admits. "But there's so much value in building it alongside the community."

This development model can't exactly be faulted when taking a look at the success of Grounded and its dedicated community of players. An early access period also means that withꦡ this reveal, players don't get slapped with a 2026 release date and instead will get to dive in as soon as next month.

Sure, the game isn't going to be polished and some pretty big bugs – not the literal kind that are found in th꧙e game – will most likely be present. But players will be excited regardless to join the community effort of helping to make Grounded 2 into something worthy of its predecessor.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Double Fine Productions just announced its first game in four years: Keeperꦿ, which is about a walking lighthouse, because of course it is.

The Psychonauts studio has been quiet for a while, but it just reared both of its heads at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Showcase 2025 to reveal a third-person adventure game that's intentionally hard to categorize. There are some puzzles, some exploration, lots of mind-bending sights, 🔴and, gosh darn, how did they make a lighthouse cute!?

The setup is that a stray bird causes a really old lighthouse to crumble down. Then, somehow, the l♉ighthouse stands using ingrown roots as its feet, pat-pat-pattering across a fantastical world while trying not to topple over again. You can help it along its way when Keeper comes to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass on October 17, 2025.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史🌳查询:Double Fine has multiple projects in development right now, and this one's led by Lee Petty, who was previously the art director on the metal open world Brutal Legend and 🌄the main game director of Rad, Headhunter, and Stacking. Petty made Keeper with a slightly different approach, though.

"W༺hen it came time to work on a new project, Lee was keen to start from a place that could not be so simply categorized by its genre, defined by its mechanics, or summarized by its setting," an explains. "Instead, he wanted to explore the blurring of genres and to create room for something more atmospheric – a space for the player to real🌄ly live inside, and take in the vibes."

Keeper apparently spawned from the isolation Petty felt during the pandemic, arou🌃nd the time that Double Fine was wrapping up its last game, Psychonauts 2.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that the next game in the prolific racing game series Forza will releas🔯e at some point in 2026, and he also teased the return of an unn✤amed Xbox classic.

The next game in the series is expected to be Forza Horizon 6, although we have no firm confirmation of that from Xbox. However, Spencer took the stage during today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase to share that the next Forza, whatever it ends up being, will releasꦐe in 2026.

Curiously, he also said 2026 will see "the return of a classic that's been with us since the beginning." Now just what could that be? Looking at the original 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox's launch lineup, there's quite a few titl🅷es that could technically qualify, but that also massively depends on how you define a "classic."

The obvious that first comes to mind is Halo, and with Halo Infinite now somehow being close to five years old, I suppose it's not out of the realm of possi🐠bility that we'll see something Halo-related next𓂃 year, even if it's just a remake or remaster of the OG Halo Combat Evolved.

We haven't seen a Project Gotham Racing game since 2009's Ferrari Edition, so maybe it's that? Who knows, we're really just takin✅g stabs in the dark at this point, but my point is, I'd be very surprised if it were the 2001 Shrek platformer Spencer is teasing here.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Invincible fans just got treated to the official announcement of Skybound's lo🙈ng-promised triple-A game that surpassed its crowdfunding goal: Invincible VS. Notably, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman had referred to the game as "the most excited I've been about anything involving Invincible," a few months ago, which turned quite a few heads.

Now, players get to see what all the hype is about with the world premiere trailer at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, displaying a 3v3 tag-team fighting game that allows fans to play💯 as their favorite heroes fight allies or enemies. Inv🃏incible VS will not only provide ranked and casual modes for the online multiplayer fighting, but also a single player story campaign.

The title also appears to offer some multiverse aspects, as we see an alternate version of Nolan Grayson in the trailer, fighting against Mark alongside Viltrumites. If the Invincible multiverse ♈is being taken into account, players can e๊xpect endless match-up potential.

As per Skybound's press release, Invincib🥂le VS will be a "brutal, tournament-quality, 3v3 tag figh𒐪ting game that lets players become a superhero in the bloodiest fight in the universe." While Skybound has developed and published many games – including another title adapted from Kirkman's world, The Walking Dead: The Final Season, this will be their first major game developed by Skybound's in-house gaming studio.

This gory title asks players to wait just a bit for its relea⛎se, with it slated for🃏 2026, the same year season 4 of the Invincible TV adaptation is set to release. Invincible VS will also be a console-exclusive title, and feature Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities.

Bioshock-esque RPG Clockwork Revolution continues to look promising in new trailer, but we'll have to wait as the release date will be unveiled in "due time"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> I was pretty middling on The Outer Worlds, but now that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 has "basical💙ly borrowed" one of the best bits of Fallout: New Vegas, I'm already planning my sneaky killing spree across the galaxy.

During the Outer Worlds 2 Direct immediately following the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Showcase, Obsidian did very little to fight the 'Fallout in space' label that was applied to the first game. Of course, as the developers of Fallout: New Vegas, that's not something Obsidian needs to fight, but this time, it see🏅ms to be leaning e💟ven further into the comparison.

That's thanks to its new take on Perks. Game director Br💫ian Adler explained that "if anybody's played Fallout: New V♑egas, they'll be very familiar with the Perks system. We basically borrowed that, but went even grander."

The Outer Worlds 2, Adler says, will have even𓆏 more Perks than New Vegas did, suggesting that there'll be well in excess of 100 ways in which you can change up your character's approach. The team at Obsidian outlined a few of them, and the focus on some stealthy, assassination-y improvements is definitely speaking to me.

For example, there's the simply-named 'Assassin' perk, which grants🍰 a boost of speed if you get a stealth kill, making it easier to chain together multiple takedowns, or to slip into the shadows. There's also a slightly more morbid Serial Killer perk, which lets you steal the hearts from non-aggressive characters you s🏅lay, using these 'trophies' to bolster your health.

And while these are bonuses, Obsidian's allowing you to lock in a few Flaws, too. I fancy a challenge, and am now a man in my 30s, so I feel like the 'Bad Knees' flaw - which creates a loud popping noise when your character comes out of a crouch - will add a certain realism to my Outer Worlds 2 playthrough. 澳洲幸运5开奖ܫ号码历⛄史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 is coming in October, so there's not long to wait to try out its New Vegas-style Perk system for yꩲourself.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> The Coalition has confirmed that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Gears of War: E-Day will be released in 2026.

The news came following the Xbox Games Showcase in an , where the developer also gave a first look at Gears o♛f War: Reloaded in action.

The pairing makes for a compelling anniversary celebration for the Gears of War franchise, which de♒buted back in 2006 on Xbox 360. Reloaded is set to launch on August 26, 2025, and marks the first time the series has landed on a PlayStation platform. It's shaping up to be a pretty dazzling remaster of the 2015 remake of the original game, and should be considered essential ahead of E-Day.

That's because Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel, tracking the events of the original Emergence Day – often referred to by characters in the series, but never properly detailed. E-Day is when the Locust initiated a planet-wide assault on the surface of Sera, and the 2026 prequel will let us experience the horrors firsthand. This origin story will delve into the early life of protagonist Marcus Fenix, detail the making of the Lancer, and reunite us with Marcuꦯs' bestie, Dom Santiago.

Xbox has yet to set a firm 2026 release date for Gears of War: E-Day, but we do know t🍌hat it'll land on PC, Xbox Se🍰ries X, and will be available on day one through Game Pass Ultimate. There is no word yet on whether E-Day will follow Reloaded onto the PS5, although it would be a safe bet to assume that it will eventually.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Activision showcased a cinematic trailer at the eve♏nt, confirming the first-ever consecutive release in the series following the🌃 success of last year's Black Ops 6.

But Black Ops 7 isn't immediately following the events of its predecessor. Instead, the upcoming FPS is set some 40 years later – tak💛ing place in 2035, in a world ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6.

"As a team, our vision from the start was to create a back-to-back series experience for our players that embraced the uniqueness of the Black Ops sub-franchise," says Matt Cox, general manager of Call of Du✨ty. "The Black Ops universe is amazing. The creativity and imagination that goes into the storytelling, the rich character depth, and the incredible moment-to-moment gameplay across all modes is really exceptional."

Activision isn't ready to go into too much detail on how gameplay is going to evolve from the introduction of omni-movement in 2024. We know that Black Ops 7 is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software (the same team handled Black Ops 6, with Raven taking lead on the campaign, while Treyarch oversaw the multiplayer🧔 and overall vision for the package), and that it will have you wield 'cutting-edge tech꧙nology' as David Mason and his team fight back against a mysterious enemy force weaponizing fear across the world.

GamesRadar+ can also confirm that the Black Ops 7 campaign c🦄an be played solo or with friends, with the new entry featuring an 'innovative' co-op support. Round-based zombies will also return as you head into the heart of Dark Aether, and the multiplayer experi🌺ence will feature 'brand-new maps' and 'near-future weaponry'.

Black Ops 7 will get a full reveal later this summer. Activision has also confirmed that Black Ops 7 will🌟 be released later this💃 year on PC (via Battle.net, Xbox, and Steam), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Thunder Lotus, the indie ꦓstudio behind melancholy management sim Spiritfarer a𝓀nd the fantastic co-op epic 33 Immortals, just announced a brand-new game: At Fate's End.

Revealed at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025, At Fate's End is a gorgeous side-scrolling action-adventure game whe♏re you "fight the ones you love," and it's coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 next year.

The game has a similarly jaw-dropping art style as Thunder Lotus' other titles – this time, with a seemingly hand-drawn 2D comic loo༺k – but the developer is 🅷jumping to yet another genre.

The trailer above puts a lot of emphasis on At Fate's End's frantic platforming combat, which sees you zipping across the b﷽attlefield to dodge projectiles, side-step massive lightning blasts, and lock swords with your foes/family in what🌠 looks like mostly one-to-one battles.

"Wield the legendary God Sword Aesus as Shan, the deft young heiress of the Hemlock clan. Explore a l꧋ush, hand-crafted fantasy world," the game's description reads. "Defeat the foul creatures of the realm in combat. Solve intricate narrative puzzles, uncover painful truths, and hone both your blade skills and knowledge to face your estranged sibliไngs in intense, emotional duels – and ultimately decide your family's fate."

Alongside epic, violent confrontations, you'll also 🥂be dueling your siblings with words. A sharp tongue and carefully chosen dialogue will apparently be just as important as your twitﷺch reflexes if you hope to gain the upper hand.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Sea of Thieves season 17 is officially titled Smugglers' Tide, and – you guessed it – it's a༒ll about embracing the smuggler💝 life.

It's kind of surprising that it took Sea of Thieves seven years to properly introduce smuggling as its own dedicated role with seemingly unique mechanics and loot, but here we are. During the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase tod🐻ay, Rare took the stage with a cinematic trailer for the update, teasing a whole new faction for the smuggling-minded, "e🔯xplosive" new loot, and a new set of smuggling-centric voyages.

It seems like details are still pretty light at tꦑhe moment, but, at the very least, we're getting a new faction, which is cool. Otherwise, it see꧙ms like a pretty typical new Sea of Thieves season with some new loot and voyages to uncover.

This could be a stretch, but it also looks like some iteration of the keg roꦇwboats from the Lost Sands༺ update are coming back. If so, it's obviously nothing new, but those were one of the most chaotic – and, thus, enjoyable – additions to the game in recent memory, so I'd be happy to see them return.

Th🎃ere's still no release date for season 17, but with season 16 only going live a couple of weeks ago and tꦡhe standard duration between seasons being roughly three months – I'd be surprised to see it release any time soon.

In the meantime, find out where Sea of Thieves docked on our list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best online games to play right now.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Twoﷺ Fi🍬nal Fantasy games are making the jump from PS5 to Xbox Series X, and one of them is available later today.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - the second part of the remake trilogy - appeared at the Xbox Game Showcase, with Square Enix announcing that Cloud and co would be available on Xbox S꧑eries X|S this winter. There's no exact release date for that just yet, but we do know that it's arriving this winter, so that should mean a launch somewhere in the next six to nine months.

That should give you just♏ about enough time to play the other Final Fantasy game that's heading to Xbox. Final Fantasy 16, which originally launched on PS5 in June 2023 before making the jump to PC in September 202🍸4, will be available on Xbox later today. For a massive JRPG like that, six months feels like a decent amount of time to make your way through everything.

If you're an Xbox fan who's been holding out on Final Fantasy over the past few years, then you're in for a treat. Our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 review said it "stands among the series' greats", while our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:📖Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade review described "a loving reimagining of the original." Both of those were 9/10 scores, so you know you're getting a whole heap of excellent JRPG gameplay. And the fact that you'll pretty much get to stack them back-to-back means that if you want, you could probably be playing a p✅air of genre bangers for a whole chunk of the rest of this year.

Never miss an announcement with our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 schedule.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> One of the more poorly kept secrets the gaming world has held in recent memory is finally official, as Persona 4 Revival was properly unveiled at today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Showcase 2025. No release date has been announced, but it's set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S🔜, and ♒PC, and will be a day one Game Pass release.

No release date for the game was announced, but a brief trailer showed some seriously glowed-up city streets that'll be instantly familiar t𝔉o anyone who's played the 2008 PS2 original. To my eye, it looks a lot more impressive than Persona 3 Reload, but we'll have to wait and ⭕see what the final product looks like because this is just a tiny teaser.

You could probably call any game in the Persona series a fan-favorite, but that seems to be particularly true of Persona 4. This was an uber-late PS2 release that landed well into the PS3 era, and still stands confidently in comparison to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best JRPGs out there thanks to its effortless style, fantastic combat system, and memorable caꦯst of characters. A whole new generation is about to learn why JRPG fans of a certain age idolize Chie.

Persona 4 is already easily accessible to modern players thanks to its Golden version, which was released for Vita in 2012 and is available on most modern systems today. The biggest question lingering over Revival is likely how much of the Golden content will make ꦚit in at launch, since with Persona 3 Reload we had to wait for DLC to get similar old expansions on board. Either way, it's going to feel real good to sink another hundred hours into a Persona game when this remake finally launches.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> As 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 continues, today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase arrives along with a variety of exciting new titles to look forward to – including Aniimo, an adorable free-to-play open-world ARPG that ticks all the big creature collector boxes.

Aniimo is no Palworld or Pokemon, but it sure does seem to carry those iconic creature collector vibes that made both games so popular – with some ARPG and open-world flair sprinkled in. Set to launch sometime next year in 2026, the upcoming game will see its players exploring Idyll, a "dynamic, interactive, and expansive" realm filled with enchanting little beings known as "Aniimo."

Players don't just get to catch these so-called Aniimo, however – they can do various things together. On Idyll, "you can collect, evolve, and twine with magical creatures," as per the trailer f🅺rom developer Pawprint Games and publisher Kingsglory. What exactly is "twining," though? It'ꦕs like combining, or merging, with an Aniimo. Unsurprisingly, there are also Aniimo-on-Aniimo battles, much like those in Pokemon.

While there's no set release date aside from the provided 2026 window, interested fans can pre-register via the website to keep up to date with news and have a shot at participating in the closed beta, a planned limited-access seven-day test, once it goes live. Upon its official launch, Aniimo will be available to play on both PC and the Xbox Series X|S.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Players just got an extended look at upcoming RPG Clockwork Revolution, being developed by InXile Entertainment, at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase. First announced at the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase, Clockwork Revolution takes place in a fictional utopia in 🔴1895, where players will dive into a wor🐼ld of corruption and fast-paced combat, and attempt to revolutionize the future.

This latest trailer boasts character customization, something darker lurking in the shadows, baddies that so perfectly make you want to punch them, and a time manipulation mechanic. Whether it's for getting the upper hand in combat, or altering the past to save the future, it꧂ appears this will play a major role in the upcoming title.

Clockwork Revolution will feature choice-based dialogue and FPS mechanics, set in the Tangle, the underground of the beautifu🍰l city of Avalon, run by Lady Ironwood who has played with the strings of time herself.

The Bioshock Infinite-reminiscent title will be available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers day one, as is the usual promise now with any Xbox Studios published games. While there's no mention of Xb🦋ox Play Anywhere, there's a good chance it will be a capability come release.

Unfortunately, Clockwork Revolution has no set release date, simply a promise that it's♈ "coming in due time." Until then, this five minute trailer will have to hold players over with what it promises.

3 years after telling us Hollow Knight Silksong would release in 1 year, Xbox once again hints vaguely at a release date, this time linked to its new handheld

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Mainline Pokemon developer Gam☂e Freak just lifted the lid on its action-adventure blockbuster, Beast of Reincarn⭕ation, which is coming out next year.

Just revealed at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025, Beast of Reincarnation takes place in the far, far future of 4026, in an era where humanity is all but extinct - massive fantasy beasties, corrupt automat🌟ons, and dangerous plant-based creatures now roam the land.

But our main protag (and her gorgeous wolf friend) has the skills to protect herself, at least. The brief looks at action place Beast of Reincarnation somewhere between Sekiro and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nier Automata. Ple🐠nty of feisty, parry-focused sword swinging, with a dash of acrobatic movement.

Oh, and those massive boss fights? 2026 can't come soon enough, which is exactly when Beast of Reincarnation is due to launch for PC, Xb🙈ox Series X|S, 🥃and PS5.

You might 🦄remember Beast of Reincarnation was first announced, very early, in 2023 as Project Bloom. At the time, Game Freak said the game was "bold and tonally different from our prior work." That's very evident from the dire, speedy trailer above.

"In post-apocalyptic Japan, a land ruined by corruption and crawling with monstrous beasts, humanity’s last hope may rest with Emma—an outcast cursed as a Blighted One—and Koo, her loya🐼l canine companion," the trailer's description reads. "Survive a journey across an ominous, ever-changing world where dangerous forests can erupt in the wasteland."

"Explore what it means to be human in Beast of Reincarnation, an expansive one-person, one-dog action RPG bui🌠lt around demanding, technical combat."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> The former Witcher 3 developers at AA studio Rebel Wolves have revealed the first gameplay footage of their new vampire RPG 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Blood of Dawnwalker, as well as a 2026 release window.

I've been just short of obsessed with Blood of Dawnwalker since it was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:revealed earlier this year, and although its seemingly 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:rich vampiric lore still has its jagged teeth sunk into me, I've reserved becoming fully obsessed until I see some gameplay. Well, now along with the whole world I have seen gameplay, and yup▨, I'm full-blown obs🔴essed now.

Dawnwalker's first gameplay trailer, debuted during today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, not only shows off plenty of perfectly violent combat—at one point the player character slices someone's head clean off—we also see some exploration, includin🐷g said character seemingly scaling a vertical wall with a gravity-defying effortlessness. Like, he's not climbing it; he's just walking up a vertical wall. I guess that's a perk of his human/vampire hybrid DNA.

There's even a brief glimpse🌳 of the game's open-world during daylight, and I have to say, you can really tell these folks worked on The Witcher 3. Something about the scale of the world, not to mention its snow-capped, jagged peaks, reminds me of CDPR's fantasy opus.

Anyway, the most exciting news for me is that Blood of Dawnwalker isn't several years away; it's due out sometime in 20🎀26, which somehow is only six months away now. Get those wooden stakes rea✅dy, Dawnwalkers, we're almost there.

Former Witcher 3 lead says his new vampire RPG Blood of Dawnwalker has a smaller open world because "it feels more like you actually know the place" compared to "behemoths"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indianaඣ Jones and th𝐆e Great Circle DLC will release this year on September 4 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft revealed today during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025.

Previously announced 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:last summer, the Order of Giants DLC promises more catacomb-diving and treasure-stealing✤ with the intrepid Indy, though publisher Bethesda hasn't elaborated on many of its specifics 𒈔before today.

But the teaser trailer that accompanied Order of Giants' release date announcement during the Xbox Games Showcase offers a blink-of-an-eye – but still comprehensive – preview of what tꦅhe DLC entails.

"A new adventure begins..." promises the trailer. Indy himself doesn't sound thrilled about it. We watch him trod the cobblestone streets of Italy, where he declares, "This is where it starts."

"Beneath the streets of Rome," he continues, "enter the city of Antioch." There, between stone stat💎ues of saints and old sepulchers, you'll have to find the "secret relic," Indy says, quite unhelpfully. "Bring it back to the Holy See. Defend the secret." Is it possible that Indy has somehow discovered the ancient origins of Catholic guilt? Take a look at the trailer below if you need help deciding.

I don't think🅘 so, though. This DLC is proudly about the Nephilim Order, or Gไiants, who Indy reveals by torchlight to be the behemoth subjects of those stone statues I mentioned earlier – not the Catholic saints. It seems that a blasphemous group of hooded strangers are still down in Antioch with you, worshipping the Giants... and they probably won't let you walk among them without a struggle.

"Fate Of Atlantis felt like the movie we never got," says Indiana Jones and The Great Circle producer as devs reflect on the series' gaming legacy: "It really captured the spirit of the movies that came before it."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> The Xbox Games Showcase came equipped with an announcement that nobody could have anticipated:澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: Grounded 2 is not only in development, but it's launching into Xbox Game Preview and Steam⛄ Early Access on July💟 29, 2025.

To be clear, don't mistake my surprise here as me suggesting that Grounded doesn't deserveꩵ a sequel. It absolutely does – the miniaturised adventure was a big success, after all. Rather, my surprise here is because Grounded only came out of early access on Xbox in 2022, and launched on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch last year.

Rather than continue supporting Grounded as a live-service for years on end – like fellow Xbox Game Studios developer Rare has done with Sea of Thieves – Obsidian has instead opted to pursue an absolutely gorgeous sequel. The Grounded 2 reveal trailer seems to hint at an e🐈xpanded playspace for you and three friends, new weapons and building tools, and the arrival of mounts and mounted combat.🐼 With the game just weeks away, we won't have long to wait to learn more.

It's worth noting that while Grounded did eventually arrive on Nintendo and PlayStation platforms, Grounded 2 will not be – at least not for the time being. I suspect♎ that this is because the title is launching into early access, and that Obsidian wants to iterate on the core game before expanding out to other platforms.

Grounded 2 wasn't the only announcement from the studio in the Xbox Games Showcase. Upcoming Obsidian game 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 also got itself an October 29 release date, which is to say that 2025 i🐭s looking increasingly like the Year 𝔍of Obsidian, with the studio having launched Avowed back in February.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Super Meat Boy 3D is coming to Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC in early 2026,ꦏ giving one of the best 2D platformers ever made a glow-up and a third dimension.

Announced at today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase 2025 live, Super Meat Boy 3D brings back the se💛ries's brꦡutal-cute cast and tone, but lathers it in a lush 3D aesthetic.

Levels look to be a mix of true 3D and flatter 2.5D segments, with some paths overlapping and sprawling, and others presenting more linear left-to-right segments typical of Meat Boy. There's a lot of verticality on display, too, with Meat Boy now navigating spiraling towers of horrible buzz saws instead of, you knoꦡw, straight towers. That's the power of 3D, baby.

Some 15 years since Super Meat Boy, which is still widely regarded as the peak of the IP, 🔴fans have reacted to Super Meat Boy 3D with a mix of excitement and relief. It's an exciting and ambitious version of Meat Boy, and very importantly, it's also not an auto-runner like the lukew♉armly received Super Meat Boy Forever.

Super Meat Boy 3D will be available 🐻via Xbox Game Pass at launch, and will support ಞXbox Play Anywhere cloud streaming.

It's been a good show for unexpected follow-ups so far: Obsidian is making Grounded 2, and it's launching into Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Prꦰeview next month.

Pokemon developer Game Freak's new "one-person, one-dog action RPG" looks like Nier and Sekiro had a gorgeous baby, and it's coming next year to PC, Xbox, and PS5.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ninja Gaiden 4 is finally set to launch on October 21, 2025, marking the end of a 13-year wait that kicked off with the release of Ninja Gaiden 3 in 2012. The news was announced as part of today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, and came alongside a new trailer for the game.

As an Xbox Game Studios-published title, Ninja Gaiden 4 will launch in🧜to Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it'll also be available day one on PS5.

Ninja Gaiden 4 director and producer Yuji Nakao discussed the ga෴me's ambiꦫtions in .

"This game offers a lot of new things you can do — that’s one of its major appeals," he said. "We’ve paid special attention to the depth, range, and expansiveness of play, and especiꦑally to the techniques that can be elevated based on a player’s skill level."

That expansiveness seems to manifest in a few ways. New♏ protagonist Yakumo can sprint along walls and use the "Flying Bird Flip" to quickly cover ground vertically. Combat techniques include "Fatal Flash," letting you "match your attack with the enemy's attack" to create Blood Essence that fuels stronger, Ultimate Technique moves.

Yakumo also has an entirely new playable form, Bloodraven. You can fight in this state, with a new parry-type counter and g🌠uard piercing attack tied to it, but Nakao says "it's a technique best used to pau𝔉se in invincibility and observe enemy movements."

"You’ll naturally begin to notice opportunities where weaving Bloodraven Form techniques into your established strategies e﷽nhance💝s your experience," Nakao adds. "The game is structured to encourage this kind of realization, adaptation, and growth."

Touching on the long-awaited return of Ninja Gaiden, Nako says "we often joke that 'we’ve made someth𒈔ing that really doesn’t feel like a modern game—it’s just too hard. These days, games are trending toward being easier to play, but Ninja Gaiden 4 goes in the complete opposite direction. So don’t lose heart!"

Separate from Bloodraven, Yakumo has a Berserk Gauge🐠 that fills when you deal and take damage, unlocking yet more moves like Bloodbath Kills. Additionally, weapons have their own unique skill💦s, so you'll expand your arsenal as you find more loot. I'm especially intrigued by this Caddis Wire grappling hook gizmo, and I'm hoping it can be used in combat as well.

Silksong was all over Xbox's handheld trailer during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, undoubtedly of🎐fering up assumptions that a release date might be incoming. And indeed, Xbox has tried to narrow down its launch window, with company president Sarah Bond suggesting that Silksong would be available on the ROG Xbox Ally X at launch later th𓂃is year.

Unfortunately, Bond didn't actually tell us when the Xbox handheld was releasing, which means that while she's attempted to narrow down the metroidvania's release date, we still don't actually know what date she's referring to. Also, we've heard something like this before - back in 2022, Xbox said that Silksong would, like all the ot🗹her games at its showcase that year, be playable wi𒁃thin the next 12 months. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Obsidian Entertainment has confirmed that The Outer Worlds 2 release date is October 29, 2025. The news came at the Xbox Games Showcase, where the upcoming RPG was given a new trailer – a palate cleanser before the main course (the main course, in this 💃poorly constructed analogy, being the dedicated Outer Worlds 2 showcase, which will run once the main showcase has concluded).

The release date means that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 will land almost six years to the day that ♛its predecessor introduced us to Obsidian's take on sc𒆙i-fi RPGs. The studio has put that time to great use, drastically advancing the complexity of the underlying systems and pushing more choice than ever before into combat and conversations.

The Outer Worlds 2 looks set to be one of the must-play upcoming Xbox Series X games of 2025, but it won't be a platform exclusive. Despite Obsidian being a part of the Xbox Game Studios ecosystem, the publisher has already🎀 confirmed that the game will launch day-and-date on PS5 and PC (via Battle.net, Xbox, and Steam). It'll also support Xbox Play Anywhere (meaning you can pick up your progress across PC and Xbox console at no additional cost) and land into Game Pass Ultimate anꦓd PC Game Pass.

The Outer Worlds 2 pre-orders are open now, with the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Obsidian game also receiving a premium edition which includes a digital game download, a 'Corporate Appreciation Prize' cosmetics pack, a 'Command💃er Zane's Battle Pack', and a DLC pass for two incoming story expansions.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 needs to build on Microsoft's momentum, but it may need to go beyond The Outer Worlds 2 to pull it off.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> As 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 continues, today's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase is here with a plethora of exciting titles to look forward to – including High on Life 2, a trippy sequel to Squanch Games' 2020 first-person shooter.

The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:High on Life follow-up debuted during the livestream with its first official trailer, offering a first glimpse of the same extraterrestrial vibes and colorful visuals fans of the original game will likely remember it for. It seems to feature the same silly Rick and Morty-esque humor of the OG title, too, as well as its action-packed, punchy gameplay. The trailer doesn't just unveil gameplay, however, but also a launch window.

According to Squanch Games' new trailer, High on Life 2 is set to release sometime this winter – so there's not too long left to go before its launch. This period could mean anything from December to late March, which means either a late 2♔025 or early 2026 release date. The FPS will come to virtually all platforms aside from the Nintendo Switch 2, dropping𝄹 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

High on Life 2 stands as Squanch Games' latest project following 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:High on Knife, the first shooter's spooky DLC from 2023. While there's not too much information on the sequel's story or what it'll revolve around just yet, it feels safe to say that it'll be as wild a ride as the original's own was. As someone familiar with High on Life, I'm personally expecting lots of shooting and stabbing – and a whole lot of absurdity.

Interested fans can follow Squanch Games on to wishlist High on Life 2 today, or keep an eye on other platforms' storefronts, like the Microsoft Store for Xbox and the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> It's been a rough weekend for developer studio 1047 and its latest release, Splitgate 2. The fo🍌llow-up to the ༒2019 arena shooter that featured the innovative addition of portals throughout the map has seemingly gone out of its way to disappoint and enrage fans, and now 1047 is in rapid damage-control mode.

To catch you up, 1047 CEO, Ian Proulx, kicked things off with his controversial appearance at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest, where he said he made the FPS because "I grew up playing Halo, and I'm tired of playing the same Call of Duty every year, and I wish we could have Titanfall 3." That, and his 澳洲ꦅ幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new battle royale is "f***ing awesome."

It's a cool statement, and could have been one of the highlights of the show, as we also found out Splitgate 2 was launching then and there. But it wasn't. That's partly down to an 澳洲幸运5开𓂃奖号码历史查询:unpop🥀ular hat he later doubled down on, but also because the game itself was 澳洲幸运5꧅开奖号码历史查询:stuffed with the kind of microtransactions that folk dislike from other FPS games.

Now, Proulx has taken to the account once more to set some things straight, with a four-minute video promising one major change to try and mend 1047's relationship with players: "We hear you loud and clear on the store prices, and so that nano swarm ♔bundle, ༺we're cutting the price in half. Some of the other items in the shop, we're reducing prices across the board." This also means that players who have already paid will receive partial refunds in the coming days.

The storefront prices for the free-to-play FPS were only one of the major qualms players had with the game, which has led to mixed reviews on Steam. The battle royale mode is something fans never expected, nor wanted. Players flocked to the original Splitgate because of its unique qualities amongst an oversaturated FPS genre, allowing players to enjoy an array of modes that decidedly did not include battle royale.

Players are loudly voic꧒ing their discontent with one negative review for Splitgate 2 on Steam stati🦄ng, "Yeah, you can keep your Temu Apex."

While Proulx is clearly taking responsibility for the store prices and implementing active change, he continues to defend the new battle royale mode and tries to assure fans th𝓰at it's not taking away from the other modes, claiming it's "additive, it's not here to replace anything."

Proulx attempts to frame Splitgate 2's battle royale mode as one that stands out amongst the crowd, stating, "I never wanted to make a battle royale unles🌠s I thought I could actually add and innovate the genre. And I think we've done that." Proulx claims Splitgate 2 is delivering more of a "battle royale-arena shooter hybrid," pointing out "you'll notice you respawn in it, you have power weapons."

The problem is, these features are not new or innovative; Fortnite, the foremost battle royale title out th💖ere, provides a reload mode, which allows for respawning, and has plenty of unique and powerful weapons to utili🐷ze.

All in all, it's a start. But it remai🧸ns to be seen if 💙everything can be fully remedied over the coming weeks and months.

Splitgate 2 dev snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, channeling Borderlands 4's Randy Pitchford by upsetting fans even when his FPS is looking pretty good

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Everyone's favorite Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen, is returning to video games after his role as Clifford Unger in Hideo Kojima's critically acclaimed Death Stranding. As announced at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest this weekend, Mikkelsen is adding a new addition to his video game credits, playing the latest celebrity target in Hitman World of Assassination. earlier this♕ weekend, Mikkelsen shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes tidbit for both this new role and his role as Unger.

"I had no idea what was going on," he admits, when asked if approaching this role was different at all from Death Stranding, or if 🍸he just "jumped right back into it." Apparently, this is the one thing both roles had in common. He initially explained how odd it was when recording for Death Stranding to be in a room with no set and wearing the mo-cap gear, which he described as "green tights" and "dots on our faces." Despite being out of his element, Mikkelsen had no problem delivering a solid performance as Unger.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:For his performance in Hitman, Mikkꩲelsen is actually stepping back into some🍒 familiar shoes, as he'll be playing his Casino Royale character, Le Chiffre.

Ultimately, Mikkelsen answered the question by saying that "there was a difference for sure," before admitting that their core similarity was that he was kind of clueless about what was happening around him. Normally, that wouldn't exactly incite confidence in an actor's performance, but Mikkelsen is the type of person many can agree will deliver regardless of whether he's thrown into an empty studio wearing some tights or is in cos꧙tume on a set. Besides, this lets the rest of us know that even if we never have any idea what's going on, clearly, we can achieve anything – Mads Mikkelsen is now defi🌳nitive proof of that.

"I got to shag his wife and kill him, so let's see what happens in the game": 26 years before becoming David Bateson's target in Hitman, Mads Mikkelsen worked with the Agent 47 actor on a Danish short film

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> At first blush, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007: First Light looks like quite the departure 🅘for Hitman developer IO Interactive, but apparently it's also not the straightforward, Uncharted-style action game that it appears to be. Fear not, there's still plenty of Hitman DNA in there.

We caught up with IO's 007 franchise director Jonathan Lacaille during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025, and we basically asked him for a vibe check. Is 007: First Light the linear, cinematic action gameꦜ it looks like in its from this week, or can we expect to see more of the⛦ Hitman series' systems-driven design that IO has become known for these days?

"It's neither," he said. "IOI has a pedigree, and that fits really well with the [007] IP, so we are leaning into that, of course. But that would not tell the full story ... we are leaning 𝓡a lot on what IOI does best."

So, it ﷺdefinitely sounds like IOI diehards won't be left wanting for the studio's signature style, but Lacaille added that, "We had to come up with a lot of new things that IOI had to learn and to reiterate on to really bring the Bond experience."

He mentioned driving as🔯 an example of a new gameplay mechanic IOI had to learn, as the Hitman games don't have driving. Shooting guns, likewise, is something you really don't want to do much in Hitman, but naturally i💎n a game like 007: First Light, it's a big part of the experience. Still, Lacaille stressed that "we don't want the game to just go by shooting and shooting and shooting. We want to give the player a lot of tools to feel as smart as Bond in the game."

After a somewhat conspicuously long period of silence, 007: First Light is slated for launch next year on PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store.

007: First Light devs chose a James Bond origin story to help be "more relatable" to a "younger audience maybe than the Bond franchise is used to"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Horror heads endured quite the rollercoaster during last night's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 keynote, and it's all because of what can only be viewed as some sort of deranged prank from the minds and marketers of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil 9, now Resident Evil Requiem, which 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:got a new trailer about half an hou💖r after Capcom pull꧂ed some serious shit.

I was covering the show last night as part of the GR+ news crew, and I'll give yoജu a peek behind the curtain at the most traumatizing part of the night for me. We were about halfway through the show, and my irresponsibly confident anticipation for RE9 made it hard to care about much else.

And then SGF host Geoff Keighley started talking about the "30th anniversary of a legendary franchise" before transitioning to a brief animation showing the Resident Evil series' iconic Racoon Po🐷lice Department typewriter, the zombie used in a ไlot of the promotional materials for the original Resident Evil, and finally Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

I was nauseous. This doesn't look like Resident Evil 9 at all. Something is very, very wrong here, I thought.

And then Lady Dimitrescu actor Maggie Robertson appeared with a glass of wine and a cheers to Resident Evil's 30th birthday. So filled with exiꦆstential dread was I that I just about joined her.

Then appeared Capcom legend and Resident Evil executive producer Jun Takeuchi, who 🐭proceeded to rip my heart straight from my chest and dance on it with Geoff's ugly shoes.

"About the latest ♔Resident Evil game you've all been waiting for, bear with us a little longer. Just a blink of an eye more, an♏d it'll be ready. We're incredibly grateful for your ongoing support of the Resident Evil series," he said, wine glass in hand from his living room. I need a minute. I needed one then as I watched this atrocity, and I need another now writing about it.

The crashing out had already begun. "TF WAS THAT," I sent to my upsettingly composed colleagues who had already moved on with their lives like normal people. "that was honestly so fucking troll smdh," I wasn't done. I needed to be heard on the world stage, or at least as much of the world stage as the good and true GamesRadar+ could possibly offer me. I started ಌfuriously bashing away at my keyboard with a headline akin to "you've gotta be kidding me..."

My anger blinded my reason. As a seasoned gaming journalist, I should've been able to sniff out Capcom's long game here, but I didn't. 20 minutes later, I had writ🏅ten about 400 words of utterly unhinged copy I'm not even sure would've made it through my✃ editor's filter. I didn't care; I had Things to Say, and I was going to say them.

Just as I was ready to submit my copy for edits, I was hit with a wave of commiserations from my co-workers. At first, I figured they were still sympathizing with me over the fakeout, and then I saw the flurry of messages like "WE'RE SO BACK" and so🍬 on, and I realized the real Resident Evil 9 reveal was happening right at that moment. I returned my attention to the SGF stream, and there it was, seconds from being over, Resident Evil Requiem. The whiplash was swift and disorienting.

Worst of all, I was made a fool of. Even with seven years of experience covering these sorts of shows, I fell for Ca♒pcom's cruel joke hook, line, and sinker. The only thing I co🧔uld do was look for solace in the community I knew would most acutely share my pain: Resident Evil Reddit, and it didn't fail me.

"Bro is a bait specialist," reads one presumably refe⭕rring to Takeu🎉chi. "Imma not gonna trust this dude anymore ever."

"That sly fuckin side eye, man knew he would g♌et us," reads .

"I have enough bait for an entire weekend fish trip," reads . "I have been baited t🍨hrice. To wait sale offers, the just a blink moment, and the blonde girl at FBI thaಞt had a similar forehead to Jill."

"This made me so mad," reads a from my fellow fool. "I was genuinely so pissed nearing the end of the show, but then screamed in🅰 joy at the end. Also, ILL & JWE3 look amazing, too."

...And so on. You got us, C🐬apcom. You really did. And I will just say, you're lucky the Requiem trailer was just promising enough to earn my forgiveness, but you'll never have my full trust.... until literally the next time you say anything about Resident Evil 9.

Resident Evil 9 Requiem references have been spotted in Resident Evil 7, a game that came out 8 whole years ago

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Between a Sifu-like brawler evidently made by one developer and a mere nine friends and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's ♋development team purportedly being less than 30 people – it's not, even if we are just𓆉 talking about the core Sandfall staff – the Summer Game Fest live kickoff was both fixated on, and wrong about, how many people made some games.

"My favorite part was 'solo developer, with the hꦇelp of 9 of his friends,'" , of The End is Nigh and Bo🥃mbernauts.

Indiಞe hits like REPO and Schedule 1 got a shouto༒ut early in the show, with host Geoff Keighley celebrating their ability to match and even outpace AAA giants desp🐲ite their small development teams. These hugely popular games were, indeed, made by small teams, and it's great to see them reach ꩵthis level of acclaim.

But this narrative seemed to balloon throughout the show, with purely hypothetical teams getting smaller and smaller as if to embellish the relationship between how many people make a game and how good or successful that game is. Everyone loves an underdog, right? On our current course, wཧe'll soon praise games developed by just one embryo in the womb.

Balatro's Localthunk worries this juxtaposition plays into a "David vs. Goliath narrative." It may wrongly pit devs against each other and make a spectacle of who can have the smallest🐈 tea🌳m.

"People and media often say Balatro was made by 'one guy,'" he posted on . "I feel like that unfortunately may be stoking the flames of this David vs. Goliath narrative a tiny bit. No it was not 'one guy', look at the dang in-game credits." (I'll cop to it now: 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:we have said "Balatro creator", and we're defi🍃nitely not al💜one. We'll get to that.)

Clair Obscur Expedition 33

Looking at the dang credits is a useful solution to this unnecessary debate. Think of the best-known 'solo,' which often really means most visible, devs of the past decade or so. Undertale's Toby Fox? Countless other artists, designers, localizers, programmers, producers, concept artists, . (澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Deltarune, even more so.) Stardew Val✤ley's Eric Barone? CꦬoncernedApe is a whole team now, with QA, platform support, translation, , .

At the same time, right at the start of these credits, archived by Moby Games, you may see listings like, "Undertale, by Toby Fox." Similarly, : "I am localthunk, the developಌer and artist for Balatro, 🌺and today I'm joined by my publisher Playstack."

This is absolutely not me calling Localthunk a liar or a hypocrite. (The framing for this AMA may well have been written by Playstack, for one.) And again, we – I – have said "Balatro creator." And I think there are reasonable ways to talk about the defining creators of games without losing sight of the bigger production. Eric Barone made Stardew Valley. This is not an unreasonable thing to say. () If I asked you who made Stardew Valley, it would be unreasonable to an🐲swer in any other way.

One problem is that people don't seem to agree on what "creator" means. The origin and evolution of a game is sometimes attributed to one person. XCOM's Julian Gollop, Death Stranding's Hideo Kojima, Dragon Age's David Gaider, even Demon's Souls' Hidetaka Miyazaki. Some devs specifically want to be called🎀 the creator of somethinꦛg; Dead Space's Glen Schofield comes to mind.

The solution to this, incre🤪asingly, is to be more specific about who came up with, pitched, shepherded, and worked on a game. Game dev is a pretty broad title, and more obvious disciplines like art and programming, the sort of conventional design stuff that people like to use to portray game development in horribly cringe movies and TV shows, is only part of it. Much the same goes for this team size discourse.

It can feel like semantics, but the fact is almost nobody in the games industry is actually an island – and I've personally spoken to a ton of all-but-solo developers in my career. One of them is Joakim Sandberg, who made Iconoclasts. (: "Game by Joakim Sandberg.") Sandberg comes to mind now because, as part of my recent developer rou൲ndtable on what people get wrong about games, he disputed the idea that "one person, like the director, i🍨s responsible for every popular aspect of a game. Video games have many directors ... A game is its team, not its auteur."

It's important to distinguish between who the core, lead creatives and developers on a project may be – that'd be your in-house staff like Expedition 33's Sandfall – and who all actually pitched in to get that project shipped. And I can see where this discourse has come from. If you don't read the dan꧂g credits, and most people don't, it's easy to miss. My counterpoint is that, as a general rule, it's also easy to assume: yeah, it was probably a lot more people than it♉ may seem.

Solo dev🔯elopment often means something like: one person handling almost every task and discipline themselves, with supporting staff working in their orbit and under their direction or cooperation. The solo developer is still the one with the gravitational pull, but they aren't a🎀ctually alone.

At its launch, there was a similar back-and-forth over how many people made Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, aꦫnd there are absolutely holes to be poked in the myth that it was under three dozen people. That might be the Sandfall team, but l🍎oads of other folks contributed to the game's release and success. This is the case with nearly every project.

What seems to have changed now, as some developers have worried, is how these roles and nuances are presented. The glorification, or borderline weaponization, of the reputation of a small team, as if their smallness is some dramatic challenge for them to overcome in the face of the AAA villain. There's a world of difference between lead and alone, and in that world, you'll find essential credits owed to countless externa🍸l, contracted, third-party, or otherwise supporting developers. A🅠nd louder than ever, this was overlooked on the Summer Game Fest stage.

"I feel like we're💃 entering the age of 'we're not like those OTHER studios' pick me marketing🅺 and I'm a bit worried about it," .

"It’s incredibly noticeable how often ‘and an arm👍y of outsourcers outside America and Western Europe’ is left out of these team sizes," . "That’s the part I find real uncomfortable﷽."

Bithell : "I think it’s absolutely cool to talk simply about team size as ‘number of people my company directly employs’.. It’s when that becomes a key ma𒁏rketing point I get uncomfortable."

Here's everything announced at Summer Game Fest 2025.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Today's Wholesome Direct presentation was full of wonderful 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming indie games filling Summer Game Fest with cozಌy vibes, but as a retrꦬo connoisseur, my absolute favorite reveal of the show was Milano's Odd Job Collection. This gorgeous PS1 game never made it out of Japan back in the day, but a quarter-century later, that's finally changing thanks, in part, to an excellent fan translation group.

Milano's Odd Job Collection has you play as an 11-year-old girl named Milano, who's off on a 40-da💟y summer vacation. You choose how to spend your time each day, but you spend a lot of it working various part-time jobs, which take the form of minigames where you do things like deliver pizzas, or milk cows.

Yes, sure, technically this is a game all about child labor, but look… it's just so darn cute. You'll build up Milano's stats over time, which influences what kind of jobs you can take, and you can spend money on furniture to decorate your little house. You can also choose to escape the rat race and just spend a day relaxing whenever the mood strikes yo🗹u, so this isn't purely a capitalism simulator.

The original game was known as Milano no Arbeit Collection – Arbeit being a German loanword used in Japan for part-time work – and it was released in 1999 by Westone. If you know Weston𝄹e's name, it's probably because of the Wonder Boy series it developed for Sega through the '80s and '90s. ๊The company's background in adorable 2D characters arguably hit its peak with the beautiful pixel art for Milano.

The game's official English translation is being published by XSEED across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but perhaps the more intriguing name attached to the release is Hilltop. This fan translation group has spent the past few years releasing excellent, but unofficial English patches for a wide range of cult classics and genuine obscurities, ranging from a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:wild Sega rhythm game to a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:lost Mega Man Legends spin-off and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:utterly wonderful Boku no Natsꦉuyasumi 🔥2.

Boku no Naꩵtsuyasumi 2 quickly became a personal favorite of mine when I finally got to play it thanks to Hilltop's translation, and I'm beyond thrilled to see their work recognized to such a degree that they're now working on official localizations of lost cult classics. Here's 🌄hoping Milano is every bit as endearing as it looks.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> A new age rating for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ghost of Yotei reveals that perhaps the best bit of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ghost of Tsushima is coming back in the sequel. And, yes, I mean you'll get the briefest look at your character's backside as they jump into the hot springs to reflect on their terrib🌳le mistakes.

officially slapped an M 17+ rating on Ghost of Yotei, mainly citing its excessive violence since, as you might have sussed out, this is another bloody revenge story. The certifications board pointed to the game's depiction of decapitation, dismemberment, blood splatter, impalement, and stabbing, sometimes in s💜low-mo, as justification.

It also called out how "cutscenes depict additional acts of intense violence: cha📖racters burned at the stake; a man repeaℱtedly stabbed with a knife; a character slitting their own throat." Just the jolly stuff, you know. Beware.

But further down Yotei's list of NSFW 𒁃sights comes confirmation of our hot spring butts. "During the🐷 course of the game, a female character's exposed buttocks is depicted in a hot spring."

The hot spring🐲s in Ghost of Tsushima predictably went viral when it launched in 2020, mainly because, again, you got the briefest look at Jin Sakai's peachy posterior. Did it go viral 🌺with people who found it funny or people who were just really thirsty? I'm not too sure. Either way, it's cool to see the usually straight-faced series carrying on a soon-to-be tradition that's not completely about bloodshed.

And in case you're curious, ESRB al🅠so mentions that you can get drunk off of sake and enter drinking games, "reওsulting in screen-blurring effects." Very nice.

Ghost of Yotei devs know "how ignorant we were about Japanese culture," but as with Ghost of Tsushima they've had "cultural advisors" to help "deliver a respectful representation" of Japan

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:H𒀰e's not returning for Deaಞth Stranding 2, but Mads Mikkelsen's latest video game role sees him pla🎃y James Bond✅ villain Le Chiffre as a new target for Agent 47 in Hitman: World of Assassination. In a recent Q&A following Hitman studio , Mikkelsen and Agent 47 actor David Bateson discussed the fringe project that first brought them together, which ironically saw Mikkelsen kill Bateson's character.

"Mads and I worked on a small film togetheꦍr back in [1998, 9ౠ9]," Bateson begins.

"94," Mikkelsen replies.

That fil♈m is , a short adaptation based on Edgar Lee Master's 1915 poem collection, the S🌠poon River Anthology. Online records indicate Bateson was right about the release date: 1999. The whole thing is on YouTube here:

"Oh my god. Who am I again?" Bateson co𒁏ntinues. "Anywꦬay, you were at drama school, which is scary. We did this little movie. It was a love triangle. He was having an affair with my wife. The short story is this: it's set in 1895, I go away hunting, he turns up to seduce my wife. She is putting sheets out on the line, and he starts sneaking up and fumbling around with my wife.

"Anyway, he did something – I'm watching this scene, he's about 25, 30 feet away from me, I'm standing next to the director, we've got a monitor in front of us and I'm watching it live. He goes and leans ag𝔉ainst this pole as she's putting these sheets on the washing line, and he's like, waiting for ya, I'll wait. And then he does something that totally rocked my boat. He starts spitting – because he's such a romantic guy. He's looking at her, his arms are folded, and he just [spits]. And he does this a couple of times.

"So I lean across to the director, and I'm going, wait a minute. That's not very sexy. And I'm looking at him doing it live, and then I look at the monitor, and something was insane. It was brilliant. It was sexy and raw and just, oh, I'm gonna, I'll let you finish and then you're mine. The point is, I leaned across to the director, during the take, and I whispered to him, does Mads know what he's doing? And🔯 the director said, 'I don't think so, but don't tell him.' Because it was insanely good."

"It wor🗹ked on your wife though," Mikkelsen cuts in.

"I'm rather pleased about that 🗹because she's here tonight," Bateson responds. "That was maybe a sign of what was to come. And I've waited 100 years to tell you this story of the talent I saw that day when he was still studyiꩵng at drama school. Give it up for Mads."

Mikkelsen says he previously had "no idea" that Bateson played Agent 47: "I walked into the room today and the guys were pitching me the game and I was watching it, and all of the sudden, the hitman comes in and I'm like, wait a second, is that David? So yeah, it was my very first ﷺthing I ever did, and I got to shag his wife and kill him, so let's see what happens in this game."

"Yeah, you killed me," Bateson says. "Asshole."

007 First Light is "a distinct and separate universe," says IO Interactive, despite Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre coming to Hitman.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Following the arrival of Sony's hotly anticipated 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PlayStation State of Play showcase earlier this week and the first look it provided of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy Tactics: The Iꦰvalice Chronicles, OGไ director Yasumi Matsuno has finally addressed a fan-edited quote that's been fooling us all ꦯfor years.

"If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class." It's a line many Final Fantasy Tactics fans know well, but there's a catch to it – it never actually appears in the 1997 RPG from Square Enix. Aftermath explored into believing it truly originated from the game in 2023, only to later present in Final Fantasy Tactics – the very one turned into a meme b𒁃y .

"What purpose do laws serve when even those who would enforce them choose not to pay them heed?" That's the real in-game line, but according to Final Fantasy Tactics director Yasumi Matsuno, the one more commonly shared isn't exactly unrealistic, either. "I found the li♏ne that became a🍌n internet meme interesting," writes the lead in a new , going on to recite the viral "penalty for a crime" quote known so well in the community.

"Of course, this line was not written by me, nor is it a line in Final Fantasy Tactics," admits Matsuno. "However, it certainly sounds like something I would have written. It's a shame I didn't know about this funny line unti꧃l today." Replies under the director's post mention just how many folks actually believed the meme's line was real, prompting Matsuno to respond that it might simply be becܫause a majority of players didn't get far in-game.

"Wiegraf is very popular," he jokes. "I am sure it is because🌳 many players stop playing at Chapter 1." Elsewher🔴e in the comments, Matsuno addresses a fan's question about politics in Final Fantasy Tactics, saying that while the line and themes surrounding it can be perceived as political, the RPG's primary purpose is to entertain its players: "It's entertainment, so whether or not it's political, the important thing is whether or not it's entertaining."

There's no telling what the line will look like in The Ivalice Chronicles come the remake's big release on September 30 this year, but one thing's for certain – there are likely bound to be plenty of new memes made by fans to enjoy and speculate about post-launch.

Need something to look forward to? Here are some 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games coming this year and beyond.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007 First Light isn't the only James Bond-related project IO Interactive had been keeping under wraps, as the studio has also brought Mads Mikkelsen's iconic C❀asino Royale villain Le Chiffre in for Hitman's latest Elusive Target. Just don't expect this t🎀o be the start of a larger connected universe bringing the two franchises together.

"What you saw from First Light, it's a completely original Bond and a completely original universe," senior Hitman level designer Martin Ansdal tells me in a Summer Game Fest interview. "I think they want, really, to design a Bond for vid🧸eo games, and that has to be a distinct and separate universe. So there's no plans for crossover."

Since Le Chiffre is a character pulled from the Daniel Craig movie universe, he "would not have been able to exist" in the same world as new game 007 First Light, Ansdal continues, "because that creates confusion about whඣat universe it is."

As IO sees it, "you cཧan have Mads 🌊Mikkelsen as a guest star in the World of Assassination, but it's important to state that does not imply a larger, shared thing."

Regardless, Le Chiffre's appearance in Hitman has given the team room to create something "more amb൲itious" than previous Elusive Targets, and Ansdal says that's important for the studio, the Hitman brand, and himself as a designer.

"When I go ✱to work, I don't try to make 'content.' I try to do something special, like something that doesn't exist in other games. An experience you couldn't have in any other game. [No] other game will have you dress up as a flamingo and kill Le Chiffre with a banana 🐈peel he slips on. You cannot get that anywhere else."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Colorful third-person shooter Splatoon 3 wasn't one of the OG Switch games to receive a Switch 2 update like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and although players have identified many games running better on the new console witho💃ut a patch, squid fans have𓄧 found a bizarre Switch 2-exclusive bug that's giving them an advantage.

As discovered by and further highlighted by OatmealDome on Twitter, Switch 2 Splatoon 3 players can currently take advantage of a "GAME💮-BREAKING BUG" that lets them "SQUI𒆙D ROLL ANYWHERE LOL."

"Game breaking" is a bit of an exaggeration, but this is still a pretty big deal. Squid Rolling is a movement mechanic introduced in the third Splatoon game, which allows y🀅ou to quickly twirl out of your ink to change direction. It briefly reduces damage taken, and can be used to dodge certain attacks, retreat from danger, or otherwise reposition yourself.

But, again, the idea is that you're only meant to be able to do this if the surface you're on is covered in your own ink. If you're in the middle of enemy territory and are getting shot w🍃ith their ink, chances are you won't be able to roll out of danger quite so effectively. Or at least, you can't on the Switch 1 version – on Switch 2, players have now reported being able to Squid Roll on un-inked surfaces, as well as on enemy ink. Needless to say, this could give Switch 2 players a huge advantage if used well.

How does something like this happen when the game hasn't been updated, though? That's still not known for sure, but OatmealDome has sh🦄ared some speculation. "This might be an issue with Switch 1 GPU emulation/translation, since Splatoon games have had issues with ink detection in unofficial emulators due to bugs in their GPU e🍰mulation," they suggest.

It seems unlikely that Nintendo is going to let this one stand, though, so I wouldn't b♑e surprised if we see a patch soon to correct thi𝕴s. In the meantime, though, that the shooter is currently "pay to win."

Step aside, Super Horn: Mario Kart World's "exploitable" new Rewind feature is the best way to dodge blue shells in single-player or bring the CPU racers down with you.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Breath of the Wild, is an absolute beast of a game. It took myself weeks to finish, and others even months due to breaks in between. This one stꦺreamer, however, took it upon himself to stream the entire game, achieving 100% completion,ꦗ in 136 hours.

Streamer Eric "PointCrow" Morino completed a 136-hour stream on Twitch last week, any breaks taken to tend to﷽ his bodily needs, such as sleep, done on stream. According to a celebratory – accompanied by the most exhaust𓆉ed-looking photo you can imagine – PointCrow declared he had 100%'d the open world RPG in 136 hours, 44 minutes, and one second. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mario Kart World is here, and as well as introducing 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:nifty new wall and rail-riding mechanics, a🥂nother fresh feature is proving that the blue shell-destroying Super Horn has had its day – Rewind is the future (at least, when you're just playing by💞 yourself).

Rewind does exactly what its name suggests – when you're playing offline by yourself, be it in a race or while in Free Roam, you can hit down on the D-pad to take your racer back in time. The idea is that if you make a mistake – may🔴be you missed an Item Box, or messed up a turn – you can immediately retrace your steps.

Other CPU racers aren't affected, so you have to use it sparingly so they don't zoom on ahead of you while you're busy time traveling, but players have quickly found that it's very useful when it comes to dodging the notorious blue shells, as🌊 well as all other manner ꩵof things.

"The rewiඣnd feature is sooooooooo exploitable that you can use this to dodge offline in Grand Prix and Knockout Tour," one💝 player writes, sharing a clip of the feature in action. "I literally dodge both blue shell and lightning at the same time. This is sooooo cheating LMFAOOOOOO."

🌜"Once again, I have outsmarted Miyamoto," Jeff Grubb jokes on Twitter, demonstrating another masterful blue shell dodge.

Meanwhile, another player shows that even if you don't quite manage to time the dodge correctly with Rewind, you can still bring other unsuspecti🔜ng racers down with you. It's definitely the heinous use of the feature, but hey, it's rather funny – Baby Peach must have been left flabbergasted in this player's clip.

Again, it's worth keeping in mind that you can only do this in single-player – Rewind isn't going to ruin online races, because it's literally unusable there. It's a good job, too – can you imagine the rage?

Nintendo, what have you done: Moo Moo Cow has completely overtaken Mario Kart World lobbies as Switch 2 players embrace the best new character.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> During yesterday's澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: Summer Game Fest 2025 showcase, 1047 Games CEO and co-founder Ian Proux 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:took to the stage🍬 to highlight S🦄plitgate 2 and its l꧅aunch – but his i꧑mplications that the FPS would revolutionize the genre seem to have fallen short.

Proux, donning a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:c♏ontroversial "Make FPS Great Again" cap, explained that the reasons he made Splitgate 2 are simple: "Because I grew up playing Halo, and I'm♛ tired of playing the same Call of Duty every year, and I wish we could have Titanfall 3." The lead then a response to those uncomfortable with his on-stage message and presence, exclaiming that he's "not her🦹e to apologize, but I am here to clarify."

The CEO then took another shot at the FPS genre, explaining how 1047 Games hopes Splitgate 2 can "fix" its problems: "The state of multiplayer FPS games is tragically stale. We hope to fix that, whether you want Arena, Battle Royale, Onslaught, or Map Creator." Now that fans have had a chance to explore the developer's new shooter, and its apparently very expensiv𝔉e microtransactions, it's safe to say they're not at all content.

"You threw shade at Call of Duty on stage but copied Warzone's mechanics for your battle royale and dropped an $80 bundle in Splitgate 2," comments one player under the dev's post regarding "the state of multiplayer FPS games." The official Splitgate 2 account then responds: "We understand your criticism. This pack features our most unique skins with complex animations a🥂nd artwork. We have a variety of cheaper options."

The dev continues, bringing up how "the game is fr🍎ee to play, and you don't need to buy anything to enjoy it to its fullest," and "nothing is pay-to-win and never will be." 1047 Games doubles down on this sentiment in a further reply, once again stating that microtransactions in Splitgate 2 are strictly optional, despite acknowledging the controversy surrounding them: "Monetization is always controversial, but it's also optional."

Understandably, however, fans aren't exactly happy with this way of thinking. The page for Splitgate 2 highlights as much, as current reviews only add up to 🉐a "Mixed" rating overall. "Less interesting version of Apex Legends," reads one negative review. Countless others criticize Proux directly, with a player n♍oting how he found fault in Call of Duty but "proceeded to release the most generic battle royale MTX farm ever."

There's no telling what the future looks like for Splitgate 2 just yet, though – but for now, the community doesn't sound too thrilled with 1047 Games' approach to the shooter and its "three currencies, battle pass, and $34 portal skin that makes your portal white," as one player calls out in a online: "Crazy too that a game marketing itself as the best FPS since old Halo games does everything it ripped from those games but worse."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> With the release of Deltarune's latest chapters this past week – chapters three and four finally joining the fold – everyone and their mother appears to be playing Toby Fox's popular RPG. That includ😼es streamers, of cou🦹rse, and it seems that those who use YouTube as their platform of choice are running into a problem that Fox himself has now had to address: copyright strikes.

YouTube's copyright strikes are an ongoing issue, as the Google-owned platform has an automated system that is extremel💞y hard to dispute once it's made its verdict. Fox is still encouraging streamers to fight the good fight, however, as the music in his beloved game is free to use.

Accordiﷺng to Fox, "t💝he music has so many streams it hit a threshold for increased copyright strike aggression. Not kidding."

He pleads with YouTube streamers, "PLEASE dispute these claims and they should be resolved." Fox isn't the first indie dev to find his internat🔯ionally acclaimed game to unfairly affect streamers because of its sick in-game musi⛎c.

Back in 2020, not long after🍸 Stardew Valley's 1.5 update, developer Eric Barone – known for his moniker "ConcernedApe" – that any copyright claims made due to the streaming of his game should be brought up ♍to him, as he is the sole owner to the rights of his farming game's music.

"If you're aware of anyone ever getting 'flagged' for using Stardew music please le🌺t me know" was Barone's own plea to players back then, particularly pertaining to Twitch streamers at the time.

The fact that Barone requested players to report these flags to himself is something Fox may want to consider, as the appeals process on YouTube caꦦn feel like talking to a brick wall. According to of their copyright claims process, more than a billion content ID claims have been made by their automated d﷽etection system between July 2023 and December 2023 – slightly dated information, but you get the gist – and less than 1% of those claims have been disputed.

Well, yes. That's how math works; provide a number as big as "more than one billion" and you're most likely going to end up with juxtaposing percentag🎐e in the single digits range. Rounding with 1%, that gets you 10 million people disputing those claims – the population size of several major cities. Not exactly something to pat yourself on the back for.

Now that I've done actual math for this, I think it's safe to say that the only thing that's going to help out the hundreds, 🌺if not thousands, of YouTube streamers getting slapped with copyright claims fo🤡r both Undertale and Deltarune, is Toby Fox himself publicly calling it out. YouTube doesn't want to make cool guy Toby Fox mad; that's just a bad look.

"I wish there was some 🌞way to not have these claims," Fox says. "However, YouTube's music system forces their existence. And if I try to remove my ꦜrights to the music from the system, bad actors will pretend that they own it to claim videos and make money."

So, for any YouTube streamers out there, if yo♋u're𝔍 in line for a copyright claim appeal, STAY IN LINE.

After breaking Steam, Deltarune dev Toby Fox appears to aim to break the internet: "After you finish Chapter 4, make sure to load up your save file one more time afterwards"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Patapon's unique cocktaꦆil of rhythmic strategy has been missing for far too long, but a spiritual successor made by Patapon veterans🥃 finally has an early access release date.

For those unaware, developers who worked on the cult classic PSP series jumped to a few years ago and managed to raise a whopping $1.5 million (219,314,335 yen) to fund a roguelike successor called Ratatan. It still has a gorgeous style and combat that꧋ has you syncing up commands with the beat, but this time, the cutesy little soldiers will chant rat-ta-ta-tan as they march into battle.

At the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 adjacent Day of the Devs showcase, developer Ratata Arts gave us another adorable look at the game alongside an incoming early💦 access release for folks o♉n PC: July 25. But if you simply can't wait to get your hands on the roguelike spin, then there's also a free available now, featuring two toe-tapping worlds, online co-op, and four ratatans.

The full game was originally planned for release on April 2025 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and 💃the Nintendo Switch, but it now just has a nebulous '2025' window. Either way, Ratatan's inbound early access launch is a promising sign that the full game isn't too far behind.

"Feel the beat and use rhythm sequences in time to order your Cobuns in the di♈rection you want them to go," the game's storefront description explains. "Since the Ratatans can be moved freely, your judgement to decide where to give orders, where to position the ratatan, and when to retreat is critical."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007: First Light devs chose an origin story in part because it allowed for a "more relatable" Bond for the potentially "younger audience" than might turn out for the 𒐪films.

Speaking to GamesRadar+ at Summer Game Fest, 007 franchise director Jonathan Lacaille said that developer IO Interactive found the chancꦗe to set a story in a period of Bo🍸nd's life that's "not been covered much," to be "the exciting part" of the project.

"We have a story to tell that people are probably very curiou✤s to find out," he says. "What 🀅are the events and the people that shaped the character [James Bond] is today? Was he always the womanizer that he is, or the strong man that he is?"

First Light, which sees James Bond operating before he's earned his iconic '00' status, features the character long before he becomes the "established legend" that we know him as. That me♋ans, Lacaille says, that "there's a lot of youth in him, so maybe some recklessness at times. And he has a lot of charm, but he doesn't know how to use it yet. He's maybe not as efficient as a [later] Bond would be."

Thꦐat decision, however, is by design. Lacaille says that a clumsier Bond might be a more relatable Bond, particularly for a gaming audience that is "a younger audience, mayb🌜e, than the Bond franchise is used to." That piece of demographic profiling is a big part of why IO chose an origin story - "it's a new story to tell, and also a story that would connect really well."

That does come with its downsཧides. There's a lot of creative freedom attached to telling a whole new story, "but at the same time, you have a lot of creative freedom so you have to come up with everything." Lacaille reasserts that First Light "is not an adaptation or anything [...] but that's what will allow us to make a great game, because then we have a lot of freedom that will fit with the gameplay m𒉰echanics."

All that freedom, he says, has also come with the benefit of being able to make the game relatively fast. Now scheduled for a release next year after a lengthy period of near silence, it seems that IO is moving faster than I, at least, had anticipated. ✅Lacaille, however, says that the game is "well-advanced since we've announced it," and "feels fantastic," which suggests that the team has been very busy behind the scenes.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Resident Evil 9 (officially Resident Evil Requiem) was finally revealed to the world at last night's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest show,ꦚ but Capcom ಞseemingly first teased the horror blockbuster eight years and two Resident Evils ago. (And, also, for in a hilarious bait-and-switch.)

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:After Requie🍸m's bone-chilling first trailer, fans started posting their wildest theories online and some even spotted a note yoܫu can find in Resident Evil 7 Biohazard that looks ꦓlike it ties into the upcoming entry.

It's a document wri✱tten by Alyssa Ashcroft, an investigative journalist from the oft-forgotten Resident Evil Outbreak, that's talking about a missing perso൲ns case and an investigation that's ramping up to solve it.

Of course, Requiem's announcement trailer heavily features Alyssa's daughter and FBI agent Grace Ashcroft as she's hard at work looking into victims of an unidentified disease. We later see multiple fading missing person posters barely hanging onto a wall - ring any bells? - some really spooky shots of what I assume is The Runwood✃ Hotel, and then poor Raccoon City, all ruined after the events of Residen🥂t Evil 1 and 2.

Was Alyssa digging into the same mystery that Grace is now?🐻 Was her murder at the Runwood Hotel linked to any of this? Is that same missing persons case still ongoing? The trailer mentions she died eight years ago, meaning RE9 can't take place earlier than 2024-2025 since her note was written in 2016, so how do the other games in the series connect?

There's l🐼ots to think about, but we don't need to wait for much longer. Resident Evil 9 comes out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 27, 2026.

Keep up with our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest schedule.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> A Splitgate 2 developer who has gone viral following a Summer Game Fest appearance says he's "not here to apologize" over his unpopular messaging, because he was not making "a p🙈olitical statement."

Ian Proulx, CEO of developer 1047 Games, took to the SGF stage last night wearing a black 'Make FPS Games Great Again' hat in a clear riff on the traditionally red hats worn by supporters of current US president Donald Trump. It was a move that - Splitgate 2 looks pretty good and h🌟ad plenty of good buzz around it, but Proulx made himself arguably the biggest villain of last night's show with his stunt.

In response to a pretty rapid outpouring of bad feelings on social media, Proulx took to after the event, not to apologize, ⛎but to "clarify" the message behind the hat. "This is not a political statement," he says. "It is quite literally what it says, so take it at face value."

"The state of multiplayer FPS games is tragically stale," he continues. Last night, he said that he was making Splitgate 2 because he's "tired of playingꩵ the same Call of♏ Duty every year," and wants to channel the experience he had playing Halo when he was younger. He claimed his new game is "f***ing awesome, and says that he "ho🎀pes to fix" that stale feeling, but given the Mixed Steam reviews that Splitgate 2 has launched to, I think that might not be quite what he's managed.

Check out our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest schedule so that you can see more unscripted on-stage moments as they happen.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> The developer of adorable management game Minami Lane re𓄧cently released an equally adorable bug collect-a-thon that's gathered flawless reviews, literally.

You might already recognize the name - it was a pretty big hit last year on account of its warm art style, condensed management, and cozy vibes set on a single, miniature street. Co-developers 'Doot' and 'Zakku' on Steam put out their follow-up projec꧑t, Kabuto Park, last month and the response has been just as strong.

"This is compl🌺etely insane," Doot tweeted last week alongside a screenshot of the game's 590 reviews, 100% of which were positive. "I didn't even think that was possible? OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE with 100% POSITIVE REVIEWS?!"

I've personally never seen a game with 100% positive reviews on the platform because, well, you know, it's hard to please every single person. Taste is subjective. Heck, at the time of writing, those perfect reviews fell ever so slightly: Kabuto Park now has well over 1,000 reviews and 99% of them give it the thumbs up. The game being able to gather 100% Overwhelmingly Positive is sort of an unbelieꦺvable feat in the first place.

"With K꧟abuto Park, I wanted to do something quite personal," Doot continued. "Every game you make is like putting a part of yourself out there, it's terrifying but so rewarding when people react as you do. I cried several time since release and feel like I'm about to do it again rn."

"Catch the cutest bugs, train them and win the Summer Beetle Battles Championship in this tiny bug collection game," the blurb explains. "Upgrade your equipment to find rarer, stronger an🍎d shinier little friends." It's essentially Pokemon as a cute side-scroller, but this time you're making bugs fight, which I won't question ༒the ethics of here.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Splitgate 2 actually looks pretty good, , has some pretty solid momentum behind it. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Borderlands 4, a fellow FPS, also looks pretty good, and definitely has mom꧑entum behind it. And yet, the men heading these things s♛imply cannot get out of their own way.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:This week, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:in the weeks before, it was Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford's numerous and enormously unpopular comments on game pricing. Tonight, at the Summer Game Fest live show, it was the painfully avoidable division stirred by 1047 Games cofounder and CEO Ian Proulx, who managed to🎐 piledrive Splitgate 2's discourse into the dumpster in a matter of minutes, stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Proulx says he made his FPS because he hates Call of Duty, lo🍰ves Halo, and wants Titanfall 3 – and reckons Splitgate 2's new battle royale mode is "f***ing awesome." We're going to ignore the irony that Splitgate just dropped a battle royale and that🌠 Titanfall 3 doesn't exist in part because EA told Respawn to instead keep opera𒊎ting the battle royale money machine that is Apex Legends, because it's really not the biggest problem tonight.

It's hard to overstate ꦛhow thoroughly and widely Splitgate 2 is getting dunked on after Proulx's SGF appearance. The reaction hasn't been universally negative, of course; are simply celebrating the 💞surprise update, and . It's not like Splitgate 2 is going to keel over because of this.

But if an Imagine Dragons remix in your battle royale trailer is the last criticism on peoples' 🍬minds, you may, perhaps, have messed up. Across , , and , and both in and out of the game's immediate communities, Splitgate 2 optics are measurably worse than they were about 10 hours ago.

"Hat 𝓀was cringe as hell," on the Splitgate Reddit. "This was just cringe," of the game's SGF slot.

"If I was a dev and I had spent years working on a game and my boss went on stage♑ and looked like this much of a jackass I'd be so pissed," .

"I now feel embarr🌺assed for liking this game," another Splitgate Reddit post .

"As a Sജplitgate 1 fan and a founder pack owner for Splitgate 2, I can't believe how HORRIBLE of a fumble I just witnessed," . Posts just like this are coming up faster than the mods or auto-mods can delete them for purportedly being low-effort.

And, I mean, if you've lost the dad hat enthusiasts, what else is there to l♉ose?

Here's everything announced at Summer Game Fest 2025.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ UK in Games News ]]> Following the success of cartoon-ish action RPG Nobody Saves the World, Guacamelee developer DrinkBox Studios has announced another action RPG called Blighted. Part of me is sad to see the studio isn't working on another Metroidvania just yet, because its Guacamalee series represents some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Metroidvania games around, but Drink🔥Box simply cannot miss, and Blighted lookꩵs great so far.

Where Nobody Saves the World had a flatter 2D perspective that found depth primarily through a variety of forms for the main character, Blighted has more of a 3D, Hades kind of vibe to it, just to give you a quick and commonly known poin🐭t of reference. It's 🌠an isometric action game with silky smooth animations and a lot of projectiles flying around, where a "dynamic difficulty system" regularly changes "enemies, the player, and the world around them."

Blighted begins with, you guessed it, a blight. , the devs explain that, in a world where the knowledge of the dead is passed down through seeds of memories, "you are the lone survivor of Sorcisto’s rampage," a trag❀edy caused by a villainous monster who gorged on the brains of the living, and you're "fighting to reclaim the memories of your people, before your own Blight overtakes you."

Sharing knowledge preserved in the brains of the dead also plays into progression; you can power up by absorbing brains from bosses. Th🐻is is where my Metroidvania sense starts to tingle, not just because it's DrinkBox, but because these upgrades are capable of ꧋"widening your skillset and opening up new paths."

Blighted was listed on Steam☂ just hours ago and immediately had the Metroidvania tag, and I'm thinking that's not a coincidence. Let's not ignore this line, either: "Pay careful attention while exploring to unlock the many d🦋eep secrets of Blighted’s world."

"Combat i🗹n Blighted is nuanced and deadly," DrinkBox adds. "Caref💙ully time your attacks to weave through enemies, chain together combos, and perform powerful finishers." We get a taste of that in the reveal trailer, which is heavy on scythe swinging and even heavier on parrying attacks with a blue flash.

DrinkBox hasn't put out a single bad game, even in the pre-Guacamelee days of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, anಌd Blighted is nearly tailor-made to my tastes. It's out in 2026, evidently just on P🙈C for now, and it'll be on my wishlist until then.

Everything announced at Summer Game Fest 2025.
