Prince of Persia will be ninja-flipping his way through a new game on 360, PS3 and PC in late 2008, Ubisoft confirmed moments ago.

Simply titled 'Prince of Persia', the new꧙ game is in development at Ubisoft's Montreal Studio - the same guys responsible for the꧅ previous three iterations.

The announcement is about as tight as can be with actual gameplay details - it basically didn't offer any - but it ൩does promise that the new game will "rejuvenate the action-adventure genre in addit꧙ion to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style," so that's alright.

We expect a man in baggy trousers, climbing, and sword fights to 𝕴feature.

The plot will start afresh, apparently "opening a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe🍸".

Ubiꦕ also confirmed that it's working on a portable version "specifically designed for the Nintendo DS system, featu🐓ring an entirely new storyline and new characters."

"More details to be unveiled in the future," says Ubisoft, and we should hope so, too.
