Trent Reznor to write Black Ops 2 theme song
Bungie ha💎s Sir Paul McCartn𝓡ey, Treyarch has Nine Inch Nails' Tent Reznor.
Right off the back of the news that Sir Paul McCartney will compose music for Bungie's new title, comes reports that Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has composed the theme song for Call of Duty: Black O🃏ps 2.
In an interview with USA Today Reznor describes the t꧙itle's signature tune as veering "more toward guitar, bass, drum rock band aggression."
Reznor prides himself as being an avid ga🤡mer, and is no stranger to composing music for games as he worked on the soundtracks of Quake anꦉd Doom 3.
After "dipping [his] toe into film scoring", Reznor found himself with a lot of different projects thrown his way. When he was asked if he was interested in a big video game franchise, he qui✱ckly agreed.
Reznor approached the project as a supporting role, unlike the lead he has with Nine Inch Nails. He immediately told Treyarch, "I am working for you on this thing...Let's really talk about themes and as I start throwinܫg iterations at you, please feel 🅘free to say, that's not right"
Reznor explained that he listened to the complete back story of the game, learned all about how✤ much effort went into the characters and the story, and felt there was "lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface."
It d🐽idn't feel right to Reznor to have a "gung ho, patriotic feeling theme song. It has to feel weig✤hty. There is a lot of remorse and apprehension here."
