Thief movie adaptation sneaks into Hollywood
A truly accurate Thief movie would be two hours of hiding behind pillars and memorizing guard movement▨s, then 15 minutes of frantic act🦩ion concluding in utterly unnoticed victory. But I can understand if the upcoming film adaptation, as announced by Eidos-Montreal on its , takes a few cinematic liberties.
Production company Straight Up Films got the rights to develop master thief Garrett's story into a feature film, penned for the screen by Misconduct and Not Safe For Work writers Adam Mason and Simon Boyes (via ): “We have always been passionate about telling stories and bringing them to different mediums," Eidos-Montreal studio head David Anfossi said. "With the intricate worl✅d of Thiefཧ being made into a feature film, a larger audience will be able to dive into this universe."
Though players first explored the politically charged semi-medieval world of Thief back in 1998, the series was rebooted in 2014. The film will pull from the reboot universe, putting Garrett in a sort of gothic Robin Hood role as he works against the magic-wielding tyrant of The City. The Lego Movie producer Roy Lee and Hitman producer Adrian Askarieh will fill the same roles ܫon Thief, along with Straight Up co-founders🃏 Marisa Polvino and Kate Cohen.
We don't know much more abouꦉt the movie yet, but I hope Garrett puts out at least one torch with a water arrow.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best ed🙈ucation I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Ni🧸ntendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
