The Last of Us renewed for season 2 at HBO

The Last of Us season 2 is officially happening. HBO’s hit series has been renewed for a second outi🍃ng, despite only being two episodes into its first season.

The news won’t come as a surprise to many, given the original game it is based on is spli𝔍t across two parts. As has been widely reported, the first season will focus on The Last of Us part 1, whi🌳le the second will pick up with The Last of Us Part 2 story.

It was confirmed that nearly five million tuned in for its first episode. The second episode topped this with an audience increase of over 👍20% t𓂃oo.

The news comes after Ellie actor Be♛lla Ramsey told🐼 the BBC earlier this week that a second season was likely.
