Best gaming deals in Australia for October 2022
Our regularly updated round-up of the best gaming s♊ales and discounts Down Under.

Games are expensive, and that's never been truer than in 2022: Sony first-party games have increased across the board, and some third꧒-party publishers like 2K and Activision are following suit. The next-gen consoles have now been on the market for more than a year, and while PS5 and Xbox Series X are s🧸till hard to get, if you've got one, you've probably got a renewed appetite for buying new games. This is an expensive hobby.
On this page you'll find a regularly updated list of the best gaming deals in Australia, ranging consoles, games and peripherals. While it's true that games are getting more expensive, it's also true that there's never been more retail competition in Australia: trusty outlets like JB Hi-Fi and EB Games now have Amazon Australia to contend with, not to mention eBay, Big W, Target, and a range of other online outlets. We'll do our best to ensure that the prices published here are t♎he very lowest you can get, though we'll be avoiding secondhand goods and grey market key sellers.
Without further ado:
This week's highlights
AU$124.95
Ahead of the November 9 release of God of War Ragnarok, Amazon Australia is 🍃selling copies of the big PlayStation exclusive for 22% off the RRP. Giv🌠en how expensive first-party PS4 / PS5 games are nowadays, this is probably the cheapest we'll see it for a while.
| AU$79.95 AU$48 at Amazon
This is a remarkabꦗle 40% discount on this year's big Pokemon games, ahead of their November 18 release. Nintendo first-party games don't get discounts this steep very often, so to see this discount b🀅efore the games are even released is quite special indeed. Choose from or .
| AU$79.95
A big discount on one of the highlights of 2021, which is sure to please Metroid fans, even if our reviewer pointed out its "frustrating boss battles and cumbersome controls". This 39% discount is rare, so if you've been waiting on a price drop to jump in, now's t🐭he time.
| AU$759
This Secretlab throne is our pick for the best gaming chair, so if you'reꦗ in need of a chair this side of Black Friday, this AU$34 discount is worth jumping on straight away.
| AU$539.95
Save on the suavest Switch yet, which only a co꧋uple of months ago was a little hard to get in Australia. That doesn't seem to be the case right now, so you might as well fire off an order🅺 while the going is good - assuming you don't mind the lack of meaningful spec upgrades. This has been as cheap as AU$448, but this price is still well below RRP. Via Amazon.
| AU$79.95
Seemingly the first significant discount on this modern revamp of the Wii outing. A sprawling Zelda adventure, now playable with a conꦇtroller rather than the Wii Remote. Via Amazon.
| AU$399 (usually AU$469.95)
The Nintendo Switch price has v🐈aried quite a bit lately, mostly due to continꦉued high demand and the component shortage problem affecting the whole industry. So this ain't the best price in history but it's still under the RRP. This discount applies to both the neon blue and red model, as well as the more reserved grey version.
| AU$89 (usually AU$99.95)
A passable discount on the Switch's Pro-Controller, though it's regularly cheaper to the tune of AU$79. You're probably going to want this if you're a heavy docked user - especially if you love platformers (it's got a superior D-pad)𝔍 and first-person shooters (it's got better analog sticks).
