It’s time for another round of movie release date musical chairs, this time starring a (non-MCU) Venom standalone movie and, crucially, Aquaman, which has been delayed b♒y a few months but still just about surfaces in 2018.

Aquaman, previously slated for October 5, 2018, has been shifted back to December 21, 2018. It’s probably the meticulous scouting for s🀅eas by director Jam🧸es Wan that’s really driven back the schedule&helli𝔍p;

Taking Aquaman’s place in October is a Venom standalone movie. It’s a Sony property (confusingly) so don’t expect Spidey or any other Marvel-owned heroes to rock up. How a Venom movie, which was thought to have been shelved, will work separately from Spider-Man’s n🌌ew estaꦿblished continuity is anyone’s guess. They’ve only got 18 months to figure it out. Good luck with that.

And, hey, surely it won’t꧙ be as bad as Spider-Man 3’s Venom…

…right?

Directed by James🌳 Wan and starring Jason Momoa, Amber ⛦Heard and Patrick Wilson, Aquaman is now slated for release on December 21, 2018
