If you were expecting to p💃lay Final Fantasy Versus XIII anytime soon, don't count on it. Square Enix has just posted a job listing for a "Battle Planner" for the game. Exactly how much of this game have the developers actually completed?
You don't need to remind Final Fantasy fans that retail listings for Versus XIII at one time showed a 2008 holiday season release date. Some even suggested it would come out be𓃲fore Final Fantasy XIII (which itself was notably delayed). But then Versus went totally MIA. Details became nonexistent. The game that was shrouded in mystery became even more mysterious.

When Final Fantasy XIII went multi-platform, PS3 fanboys couꦡld at least hold onto the hope that Versus XIII would still be exclusive to their heralded consoles. But it's looking more and more like that's not the case.
Also looking increasingly bleak are the game's release dateexpectations. Square Enix has 🗹previouꦐsly said it expects to ship the game in Japan in December. If the game still needs an extra Battle Planner, though, how realistic could that be?
