So confident are Sony of their ability to keep the Spider-Man movie machine trundling🅷 along that they’ve done the now traditional act of announcing the release date for the next film before a frame is even shot.
In the case of Spider-Man 4, they’ve given the director three years (give or take), by announcing that it will arrive in May 2011. All they need now is… The director. Aಞnd a cast. And a finished, approved script. Yes, three years sounds like a long time, but when you’re back to basics on a film as big as the Spider-movies, that time will tick away awfully quickly… The has the full story on the announcement.
