Following this morning's newsꦗ that a is in the works comes word that there are also plans for films based on Sou💟l Calibur and Prince of Persia.

Soul Calibur has, improbably, been signed up by American Pie and Final Destination producer Warren Zide and will be his first project under his new Sony-owned Anthem Pictures.

We've no details yet on the film's plot or who will star in it although it's a pretty safe bet th🧜at there will be somℱe fighting involved. Let's just hope it's better than 1994's dreadful Jean-Claude Van Damme movie Street Fighter.

Meanwhile, Jerry Bruckheimer Films are cu🦂rrently negotiating a "seven-figure deal" in a bid to acquire the movie rights to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the well-regarded time-travelling actioner from Ubi Soft. The deal is said to include a script that's being written by the game's creator Jordan Mechner. We'll bring you more o♑n both films as soon as we have it.
