Looks like Sonic %26amp; Knuckles is on its way to the Virtual Console - the Entertainment Software Ratings Boar𓆏d (ESRB)has just given the game an 'Everyone' rating for release on Wii in the US.

As with all rating listings, there's no word on when the game will be released, but we can't see any reason Sega or Ni🐼ntendo would hold back from releasing the last Sonic classic for the Mega ꦰDrive (Genesis) on the Virtual Console.

Originally the second part of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the cartridge version of Sonic %26amp; Knuckles include♛d a link-up mode with which you could link up previous Sonic games and play them with extra characters and f♍eatures.

There's no word on what Sega anꦜd Nintendo plan to do regarding this functionality♑, but our bet is on it being omitted.
