Of course, how long is too lon🅷g? The Walking Dead has been shambling along for 18 months – with the odd bright spark here and there – and artificially elongating the episode to create a sort of ‘TV event’ isn’t going to do it any favours. Especially as the gun-toting battles and tens♔e staredowns died a death well into season 8.

I still think that The Walking Dead can be a show with brains rather than just brainssss again –ﷺ maybe this is a step in the right direction?
