Scott Adkins talks The Raid remake

We spoke to Scott Adkins about awesome martial arts epic Ninja: Shadow Of A Tear (out on DVD and Blu-ray on May 12 - expect a feature on the site soon) and while we had him, we decided to ask about another epic martial arts franchise, The Raid .

If they absolutely haveౠ to remake Gareth Evans' incredible Indonesian action flick in the US, we can't think of many better people to star in it than Adkins - so we asked him if he was aware of the pro🎃ject.

Are you a fan of The Raid and, if so, would you be interested in being part of the remake?

"I’m a huge fan, I’m a massive fan, and thi⭕s is no secret: I’m friends with Gareth. And, absolutely, of course I would love to, that’s ꦗall I’ll say at this point."

Is that something you’re talking to people about?

"I’ve spoken to Gareth about it, he&rsquo📖;s an executive producer, he’s going to let other people create their version of it, he’s not going to get too involved. I know Gareth would like to work with me in the future – hopefully that does happen.

"I’m a massive fan, I cannot wait to see Raid 2 . Just yesterday , how amazing is that for a deleted scene? The guy is a poet, t he guy is a poet . he’s so much more than an actio🗹n 🗹director."

Ninja: Shadow Of A Tear is out on Blu-ray and DVD on May 12 and .
