Saint's Row 2 announced
But PS3 port of original gangfest is canned
A sequel to Saint's Row, the gangland actioner that hit Xbox 360 last year, has been announced for both 360 and PlayStation 3 today by publisher THQ, set to launch in 2008. But the 360-to-PS3 port of the original game has been cancelled, with all of💦 developer Volition's efforts being ploughed into the sequel.
The GTA-inspired crime romp set in Chicago will mostly be remembered in these parts for the utterly hilarious Insurance Scam missions, where you earned cash for hurling your character under the wheels of passing cars. If the sequel can retain this sort of dark humor, ramping up the things that made Saint's Row something more than just a GTA clone, we'll cert✨ainly be wearing our THQ colors with pride co🔯me next year.
