Perlman has actually played Deathstroke before in the Teenไ Titans cartoon - which is where that voiceover originates - and that familiarity with the character would definitely serve him well were he to win the role. I get the sense we're still a long way out from finding out who will ultimately be wearing the eye-patch when Ben Affleck's solo Batman film rolls around, but we'll be watching this space.
