Red Faction: Armageddon pre-order bonuses announced

THQ and Volition have announced the pre-order bonuses for Red Faction: Armageddon, which ships May 31 in North America. As usual, the bonus you'll receiv🌠e for depends on the retailer you choose, and some bonuses are arguably better than others. Here's the spread:

GameStop

A free 💞downloadable copy of Red Faction: Battlegrounds for Xbox 360 or PS3 and the 'Commando Pack,' which "includes🎃 the armored Commando uniform and adds two new weapons to their arsenal."

"Players will spraဣy an unforgiving stream of destruction with the Plasma Thrower, or slice and dice the infestation with dual Laser Pistols."

Amazon.com

A free downloadable copy of Red F🧔action: Battlegrounds for Xbox 360 or PS3, which includes "a unique bonus weapon that will be playable in Red Faction: Armageddon" after acquired by ranking up.

Walmart

A copy of the limite𓆉d edition 24-page Red Faction comic book, which "follows Darius Mason as he chases down a gang of murderous bandits in a tale that takes place just before the events of Red Faction: Armageddon." The comicღ book also includes a mini game guide from Prima.

Best Buy

The 'Recoꩲn Pack,' which includes the clandestine Recon uniform, "constructed specifically for Red Faction snipers and spies."

"Unleash two new weapons on your foes, including the Arc Welder, which immobilizes and electrocutes clusters of enemies, and the XNG-5000, which launches devastating Nanite-filled projectiles that seek out targets and dissolv꧅e them."

Update: Also, pre-order from Steam and you'll get a copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla. If you ♕already own it, you can gift it to a friend. Thanks to our watchful friend 'Commander Shepard' for pointing out the Steam promotion, which was excluded from today's announcement.

If you plan to pre-order, getting the upcoming Red Faction: Battlegrounds, which will sell for $10 when it releases on April 5, for free doesn't seem too shabby. However, note that Battlegrounds will already be free for PlayStation Plus members, so if you're a member, you're better off going with Best Buy or Steam. Or Walmart, we guess.
