PS4 won't support current-gen PSN games
Blame it on the architecture
Sony's already given a bit of an indication for its plans with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PlayStation 4 backward compa💖tibility, floating the idea🍷 that all PlayStation games ever can be accessed from any device. However, it appears as if that transition won't be entirely seamless.
In a Q&A session following yesterday's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:PS4 announcement, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida said that PlayStation 3 games purchased through the PSN would not be accessible on the PS4. Yoshida attributed this decision to the PS4's switch🃏 away from the PS3's Cell CPU architecture.
However, the Sony exec didn't rule out the PSN backward compatibility outright. Yoshida said that the company is looking into how it can use Gaikai to offer some of these games to PS4 owners. He also reiterat🔯ed that it is Sony's goal to offer every PlayStation game on any device.
