Yveltal is a Dark and Flying type Pokemon, making it weak to Electric, Rock, Ice and Fairy-type attacks. The best way to battle Yveltal really depends on the team you bring to the Raid. And if you’re going in with friends, which type of Pokemon they will use will also determine which Pokemon to use. Trainers who want to use an Electric🅺-type team will have their choice of either Mega Manectric or Mega Ampharos.
Both Megas will power up the Electric moves of your team as well as the attacks of any trainer who joins you in the Raid. To round out the team, we recommend a pair of Legendary Pokemon/Ultra Bღeast. Zekrom, Therian Forme Thundurus and Xurkitree unleash tremendous pow𝐆er.
If it’s a Rock team you want to bring, anchoring it with Mega Aerodactyl would prove use🙈ful. Bringing Pokemon lik𒀰e Rhyperior or Gigalith with their high attack and defensive stats would prove useful.
There isn’t any viable Mega Pokemon who is an Ice-type, yet, so we do recommend going with th🐲e other types when taking on Yveltal. Mega Abomasnow is weak to Yveltal’s Flying moves so it won’t do too much against it. If you are inclined to bring an Ice team, Pokemon like ওWeavile and Galarian Darmanitan work well alongside it.
And then we have the Fairy-type. Mega Altaria is the only, current, Mega who has that typing and while it isn’t the best it does offe🦹r that big boost in attack to your Fairy team. Br🐽ing Pokemon like Togekiss, especially if they have Charm, into battle alongside it.
Here are 10 viable opti🔯ons to counter Yvelatl in Pokemon Go Raids.
Pokemon | Moveset |
---|---|
Mega Manectric | Thunder Fang and Wild charge |
Mega Ampharos | Charge Beam and Zap Cannon |
Mega Aerodactyl | Rock Throw and Rock Slide |
Mega Altaria | Dragon Breath and Moonblast/Dazzling Gleam |
Xurkitree | Thunder Shock and Discharge |
Thundurus (Therian) | Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt |
Zekrom | Charge Beam and Wild Charge |
Rhyperior | Smackdown and Rock Wrecker |
Weavile | Ice Shard and Avalanche |
Togekiss | Charm and Dazzling Gleam |
Pokemon Go Yveltal moveset
Yveltal has a large movepool, but most of them are either Dark or Flying-type attacks. That’s a good𝔉 🌟reason to bring in a Fairy team as they resist all of Yveltal’s Dark-type attacks, especially Sucker Punch and Snarl which the Kalos Legendary uses as its main Fast Attacks. It also has Gust, which Electric and Rock types resist so those types, again, are great options against Yveltal.
As for its Charged Attacks, Dark Pulse and Hurricane take advantage of Yveltal’s STAB. Focus Blast is a Fighting-type move that can spell trouble against Ice and Rock types that you can bring in. Hyper Beam is a Normal attack that Rock t๊ypes can actually resi🌃st, while Psychic isn’t resisted by any of the four types that we recommend against Yveltal.
However, Steel, Dark and Psychic-type Pokemon resist Psychic so Pokemon like ♎Magnezone that is an Electric and Steel-type can be another great option against Yveltal.
Here are all the mov♎es Yveltal can u𝕴se in Pokemon Go.
Fast Attack | Charged Attack |
---|---|
Sucker Punch | Dark Pulse |
Snarl | Hurricane |
Gust | Focus Blast |
Row 3 - Cell 0 | Hyper Beam |
Row 4 - Cell 0 | Psychic |
