Peter Molyneux admits to telling the occasional fib

Peter Molyneux is renowned for making enjoyable games and contributing greatly to the industrꦍy. He's also famous for exaggerating the odd game feature and sometimes making shit up as he goes along. During his BAFTA Academy Fellowship acceptance speech at yesterday's ceremony in London, Molyneux used his precious moments on stage to thank his hosts for the prestigious award and apologize (albeit tongue-in-cheekily) for misleading a few media journalists along the way.

"I'd like to thank the press, by the way, for listening to my stuff," said Molyneux. "Sorry - I've slightly over-promised on things on occasion."

Molyneux admitted he's pulled more than one videogame factoid out of his ass to keep press junkets interesting, adding, "I could name at leꦬast 10 features in games that I've made up to st🌄op journalists going to sleep and I really apologize to the team for that."
