To be followed by Paradise: Faith (July) and Paradise: Hope (Aug), Love i๊s the first in Austrian auteur Ulrich 𒁃Seidl’s trilogy tracking three women from the same middle-class family taking separate vacations.

Here, 50-year-old Teresa (Margarete Tiesel) heads to a beach resort in Kenya, where young black men are literally queuing up to off𒉰er their ‘services’ to white, female sex tourists🐎.

Though it covers similar thematic ground to Laurent Cantet’s Haiti-set Heading South, Seidl&rsquo💎;s gruelling film proves his knack for leaving viewers emotionally discomfited.
