New Secret Cinema launches

Secret Cinema kicked off its latest participatory film event last night in London, and Total Film was lucky enough to be invited along.

If you're new to Secret Cinema, it goes like this: you buy a ticket for an undisclosed movie, then receive an ꦯemail the day of the event with a location and directions for what the wear.

You then show up and get treated to 🐼an evening of per♋formances, games and exercises all related to the film, which screens at the end of the event.

So, after filling in a quiz online that informed us we would be participating in a scheme called Brave New Ventures, we pitched up at a confidential meeting point dressed 🔴in overalls (as directed).

We were then led t😼o a secret location, where we traded in our Earth money for something a little bit different.

The rest of the evening is classified information, but suffice to say it involved plenty of role playing fun (no, not like that), often nerve-wr❀acking missions and some 🍸truly fantastic sets.

The film itself?ꦐ We’ve sworn a bl🐟ood oath that restricts us from revealing it, but trust us when we say it’s one that’ll get you talking.

This 18th Secret Cinema will be runni🐻ng for a whole month. Check out for more info🐓rmation. If you're a fan of things like promenade theatre and, naturally, movies, you won’t be disappointed.
