We've rounded up a few stray PlayStation 3 sho♔ts ofꦡ Sonic the Hedgehog, the next-gen platformer that will be released for both PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.

Sonic Team's idea behind this lates🎀t Sonic game is to go back to basics in an attempt to harness the speed and attitude that made the original Mega Drive Sonic such a huge hit way back in 1991.

Significantly, though, it will be using the power of next-gen consoles X🎃box 360 and PS3 in order to make the action as dynamic and intense as possible.

The game will also feature a second playable character called Silver the Hedgehog who looks like Sonic but has a differentꦇ skill set. Instead of supersonic speed, Silver has telekinetic power that allows him to lif🔯t up any object that's not fixed to the floor.
