Naomi Watts says We Are All The Same

With Blood Diamond still on people’s minds and Darfur casting a s𒁃hadow across the world, it🌱 would seem that there’s still plenty of scope for stories originating in Africa.

Case in point: Naomi Watts has signed on to We Are All The Same, which is based on the real-life tale of Gail Johnson a white South African woman who adopted a black child sufferi🧜ng from AIDS and then tou🧔red the world with him to raise awareness of his plight.

TV correspondent Jim Wooten, spotting a great story, wrote the titular book about the subject, which Hotel Rwanda co-scribe Keir Pearson is now busy adapt𝔍ing.

"It's one of those passion projects that you hope you become involved🍒 in," producer Scott Nemes waffled to Variety. Translation: we’re tackling an emotive subject, so please give us an Oscar꧋.
