Minecraft developer Mojang teams up with indie dev to create Colbalt
It will be called Cobalt anꦛd it shall be about cyb♌orgs and stuff
Mojang studios, the small developer that exploded into the public eye with its captivating Minecraft, has announced , the first game it's developing th🌳rough a third-party. The just released action trailer shows off the running, shooting, rolling, tossing, hacking, slow-motioning, exploding and other activities the game's very square looking characters can accomplish. And it doesn't look a thing like Minecraft.
As a collaboration between the newly founded company Oxeye Game Studio and Mojang, Cobalt has a lot of new and exciting talent behind it. Oxeye was founded by Daniel Brynolf, Pontus Hammarberg and Mojang%26rsquo;s very own Jens Bergensten %26mdash; the trio has been sharing office space with Mojang, a company that doesn't need much introduction beyond that it sold澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:3 millioncopies of Minecraft.
We're not even going to try to mess with the epic description the twওo companies put on the Cobalt site: %26ldquo;It's hard to be a metal face. Agent Cobalt has learned as much after finding the Space Exploration Foundation's ꧑lost colonization ship The Seed at planet X9CSEC5.5B-blue, Trunkopia. It was once built by a one million strong development team back on Earth, but disappeared merely 30 minutes after its subspace jump. Whatever happened on board during its misadventure, sanity was not invited.%26rdquo;
In addition to the obviously strong story element, the game sounds great. Cobalt was nominated for the %26ldquo;Excellence in Audio%26rdquo; award at the most recent Independent Games Festival. The soundtrack is being done by, a company that%26rsquo;s working with Mojang on a game tentatively 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:called Scrolls.
If you want to get your hands on the game, Cobalt will be on display and playable at the upcoming PAX Prime event. The developers have put out an open invitation for challengers꧅ in 2-on-2 Capture the Plug matches. If you manage to beat thewreck (Daniel Brynolf) and jeb (Jens Bergensten), you'll be rewarded with swag, alpha game codes, and your name will appear in the %26ldquo;Honorable Mentions%26rdquo; section of the game's credits.
The finished vers꧑ion of the game is expected %26ldquo;this fall%26rdquo; according to the Cobalt site. We have no idea why they put quotes around %26ldquo;this fall.%26rdquo;
