Might and Delight isn't a name you're expected to know, but if you've ever played Mirror's Edge or dabbled in the Kꦛillzone and Battlefield series, you're already𝐆 well acquainted with some of the behind this new indie studio. Now, nearly two years since its formation, the Swedish developer has revealed its debut game, Pid, an atmospheric robo-platformer which proves the Might and Delight team is taking their namesake seriously.
Pid tells the tale of a young bo🔯y who finds himself abandoned on a remote, robot-filled planet. To get back home, players must make friends, bound through dangerous 2D environments, and wield what the developers call a “powerful force” to thwart a sinister conspiracy and make it home in one piece. In addition to its solo campaign, the game will also feature a cooperative mode that will emphasize teamwork while allowing players to “wildly compete and test you♏r retro skills against [their] fiends”.
Pid is being developed for a 2012 release on Xbox Live A🅷rcade. More details about Might and Delight's freshman title have been posted on the . You can also see how the development 🐷is progressing in these freshly pressed screenshots:
