Metro: Last Light no longer coming to Wii U
In somewhat disappointing news, a THQ representative went on the record today saying that🐎 Metro: Last Light will not be getting a WiiU version after a🦄ll.
The highly anticipated sequel to one of 2010's most unique shooters was one of the WiiU's most exciting titles. However, Mark Madsen revealed today to that THQ has 🧔opted to focus on 360, PS3, and PC versions instead.
"Not at the moment,🦋 it's not in development," said Madsen, a Global Brand Manager at THQ. "If it does happen, it won't [simultaneously ship] with the other SKUs, but if the opportunity arises we'll take a look at it."
"No I don't thi♔nk it was a bit too early [to show the game at E3]. As we got along in the development process, we just really wanted to focus on what we knew, focus on PS3♔, 360 and PC."
While Madsen did not say as much, it's hard to imagine THQ's heavy financial woes🎃 didn't play a role inꩵ this decision. Perhaps the company saw the WiiU's family-friendly demographic as too risky of a gamble in troubled times.
