Biography: Londoner Dave joined Future in 1997 to write, later e෴dit, computer magazines. A lifelong SF fan, he moved onto SFX in May 2005 when the mag needed a new captain in the big chair, rejoicing at his chance to combine those years of magazine know-how with his absurd love of '80s fantasy movies.

When a physics degree put him off physics he decided to have a crack at journalism🧸, and spent four years on movie 🎐mag Hotdog before turning up on SFX's doorstep. Escaped the madness of the capital in 2008 to come to Bath aౠnd by sheer happy accident – seriously - SFX were looking for a Production Editor about six weeks after he arrived.
