Marvel’s Avengers: Choose your hero - Thor

T꧂hor Odinson, heir to the throne of Asgard, is a god. Now all of the Avengers are godlike in their own way, I sꦐuppose, but this one is actually a real god. His dad is Odin, for goodness sake.

With the power of thunder coursing through his very veins, Thor is able to summon lightning into existence at will and then use it as a weapon agaiℱnst those who stand in his way. He channelꦰs this immense force through his hammer, the legendary Mjolnir, a weapon that only the most selfless of heroes are ever able to wield.

He uses this strength, alongside the other Aveng💛ers, to protect planet Earth from injustice, and is often one of the first to enter the fray when enemies appear.

That’s exactly what happened on A-Day, as Thor and Iron Man rushed forwards to defend the Golden Gate Bridge from attack. They were successful in pushing back the enemy soldiers they encountered, but this turned out to be a distracti♌on from the true threat of the day.

The Chimera Helicarrier was destroyeﷺd while Thor watched from a distance, leaving San Francisco a quarantine zone and its inhabitants exposed to a powerful substance known as Terrigen Mist. The Avengers’ leader, Captain America, was still aboard the Helicarrier when the explosion ripped through its hull and he’s now presumed dead.

In the aftermath, superheroes were outlawed across the globe and Thor took the events of A-Day to heartꦡ. No longer believing himself to be worthy of Mjolnir, he left the legendary hammer behind at a monument to Captain America an🍌d retreated from public life entirely.

We d𝓰on’t kn🅺ow where he’s gone or what he’s been doing for these last five years, but one thing is for certain: Thor doesn’t know the truth about what happened that day. He doesn't yet know that the Avengers were betrayed and were, in fact, not to blame for what happened.

If the group is to be reassembled, they’ll need to convince this Norse god to fight by their side once again. In combat, he is unstoppable, even more so when wielding Mjolnir. At close range, he can deliver some savage combos and unleash abilities like God Blast, which lifts enemy units into thဣe ꦜair only for Thor to smite them down with a powerful lightning strike.

And he’s also well equipped for ranged combat too, throwing Mjolnir towards his foes and then recalling the weapon to his hand when prompted. If you time this just🎀 right, you can hit one enemy with your first throw and then hit another as the hammer hurtles back ♋towards you. That’s a lot of fun once you get it right.
