Luc Besson says, "I quit!"

It’s not every day that a well-known filmmaker announces that he’s hanging up his megap🀅hone and leaving the folding chair for good. Sure, actors claim they’re retiring all the time &ಌndash; Anthony Hopkins supposedly ditched thesping years ago.

Bu🧸t this time it’s Luc Besson making the claim, and he's telling the world that he’s decided to devote his time to helping the community. He’s starting a foundation to help kids in 🦂France’s desperately poor inner city areas.

His latest movie, animated adventure Arthu♑r And The Invisibles (Arthur Et Les Minimoys), will arrive early next year, and while Besson has increasingly moved away from directing and towards producing films for other people to make, it sounds like he might be out of the game all together after 10 stints as director. "They are my 10 little babies," he told the Associated Press. "I love them all. I am pleased to have completed this cycle. That is finished."

Will h💦e stick to his guns? Only t🐷ime will tell…
