Kinect unboxing: Shiny things, cables and stupid hats

Kinect has arrived in the GamesRadar UK office, so we've made an unboxing video to show you what's inside. Admittedly, it may not be as exciting as the time we , but it's better th🅰an a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Though remarkabl𓆉y similar...

We've been skeptical about how Kinect will do as a console in its own right, but there is a definite Christmas morning feeling to proceedings. The game cases are a different colour, as if to say this is a different product to regular Xbox 360 titles. It all smells new too, which helps to make us feel excited, and the amount of new cables, instruct🍷ion booklets and seals to break all add up to give us a warm fuzzy feeling.

Just look how handsome the unit is. It's smaller than we expected, and in the ten minutes it's been open, has already attracted a load of dust and finge💖rprints.

Above: Three eyes? I'm sure we'll work out exactly what's for what once we get it working

Above: The unit is amazingly glossy to look at, but that just shows up all the dust. Damn...

And just look at the selᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤🀅⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚection of games we'll be playing with! Look out for more on this little lot throughout the day.

Above: Yup, we'll be rafting, fighting, petting and getting fit. And then we'll play some Kinect! Fnar fnar

But of course, there is the feeling of trepidation 🔯as we realise we'll shorꦿtly be playing with this...

Above: If ever an instruction booklet was scarier than a horror novel, it's this one. Skittles... NOOOOO!!!!!

Check back later when we'll have some hands-on impressions of Kinect. As for me, I'm off to buy a whip. I'm not taking any crap from a virtuꦚal tiger.
