Dragged to the country by her parents, East Ham girl Grace (Lauren Johns) meets Say (Andy Rush), an insular local lad who lives alone with his mother. She’s loud and obnoxious. He’s quiet and introspective. But somehow they find common ground in this sweetly affecting tale about appreciating what you’ve got.

Running at just 82 minutes, ꦗand shot on a micro-budget, you could argue it might be more at home on TV than in cinemas, but debut feature writer/director Lisle Turner manages to capture both the rhythms of rural life and the sharp pangs of adolescence with a quiet assurance. Modest but moving.
