Harmonix axes Rock Band Network on Wii

Harmonix revealed today that the Wii will no longer receive 🌸updates from the Rock Band Net🀅work due to lack of interest.

Rock Band Network is a tool which allows bands to create playable versions of their own songs without having to go through Harmonix. It is directly integrated with Xbox Live, and select son﷽gs are then ported over to the PS3 and, until now, the W♍ii.

The foll🌺owing Rock Band Network songs were released to the Wii today:

The Main Drag – “How We’d Look On Paper”
Wounded Soul – “Rx”
Band of Horses – “The Great Salt Lake”
Firewind – “Head Up High”
Cetan Clawson and the Soul Side – “White Heat”
OK Go – “White Knuckles”

These are ꦰthe last RBN tracks that will grace the console, although PS3 updat🧸es will continue uninterrupted.

"With the smaller online install base, limited demand for releases so far and the significant amount of work it takes for ou🀅r producers and audio team to convert and process these additional tracks, we’re no longer able to continue submitting RBN content to the Wii," said a Harmonix spokespers☂on.

🍬The Wii will still receive the normal DLC updates, which take less time and bandwidth to be posꦰted.
