Of all the hardcore racing modes, few are hardcordier (rea🌊l word) than Gran Turismo's endurance races. Lasting anywhere from two to 24 hours, these unlockable marathons require a herculean amount of patience and a solid grasp of car mechanics to complete. Whether or not this is the whole point of endurance races is a matter for the fans to debate, but soon all players willhave a choice in the way they play asGT5's producer, KšŸŒazunori Yamauchi, has announced in-race saves are on their way.

Yesterday, the Polyphony Digital CEO confirmed the feature in a tweet directed at a GT5 fan who had written Yamauchi with his frustrations over the notoriously long races. Translated by a member of, the twšŸŒeet read:

“I’m sorry. Game saves during endurances. They are currently under development. RT @andrepeniche: as I simply don’t have 4, 9 or even 24 hours available to stay in front of the TVš“‚ƒ to do endurance races, as much as I love GT5, unfortunately it’s notšŸ° possible for me to complete them.”

Yamauchi's announcement follows similar concerns amongst some in thethat the endurance races ask too much from players, and some form of reprieve was needed. Yamauchi did šŸŽnot confirm when the in-race saves will be ready for download.
