Books signings included in schedule for second live SFX event in Sussex this coming February
One of the most popular strands at the inaugural SFX Weekender was the author section, with its talks, panels and opportunities to hear readings by your favourite writers. So you’ll be pleased to hear that SFX Wꦐeekender 2 features more of the same, with contributions from top authors like Terry Pratchett, Stephen Baxter, Robert Rankin, Kevin J Anderson, China Miéville and loa🥂ds more.
So, a quick public service announcement for all those attending (or thinking about attending – go on, you know you want to…) the SFX Weekender 2 to see their favourite SF and🦩 fantasy authors… you will not require a signing pass for an author’s signature.
You will need a signing pass (included with VIP tickets or available for £30) to join the autograph cue for many of our actor guests! But autographs from authors and comic book creators will be included free, and there will be a schedule of author autograph sessions 🐈in the book area. Most of the authors will be located in the Stage 2 area, a room adjacent to the main central space. Books will be available should you forget your own well-thumbed copy.
There is one exception to the rule, however – Terry Pratchett will not be signing autographs at all at the Weekender, but he will be appearing live on stage to talk about The Long Earth wit꧟h his p🐻artner in crime Stephen Baxter as well as take questions from his fans.
The SFX Weekender 2 takes place at Camber Sands holiday camp in East Sussex on Friday 4 February and Saturday 5 February 2011, with our pre-party on Thursday 3 February for the early birds. Don’t worry about th♏e recent Pontin’s announcements, ! VIP tickets are already sold out but there are still other options available. Make sure you get yours before it's too late; book now by calling 08700 11 00 34 or head to♉ for more information. See you there!
