Fans and admirers have taken to social media to mourn and pay tribute to George Romero, who passed away this week after a batt🌊le with lung canc♊er.
The famous filmmaker was known for practically defining the zombie genre of horror thanks to movies like Night of the Living Dead - so influential was his work that Capcom put a disclaimer on the first Dead Rising game, noting that it was not connected to Romero. So perhaps it's not too surprising the number of people mourning his death, nor should it be suไrprising that the director influenced the likes of Stephen King, Guill♔ermo del Toro, and many within the games industry.
