Bryan Singer's conveyer-belt of on-set images from continues apace, with Michael Fassbender the latest star to be revealed in action.

The latest image shows Fassbender's Magneto seemingly levitating some distance above the ground, although we'd ex♓pect 🎃some sort of metal sheet to be CGI'd in under his feet in the finished cut (unless he's manipulating the metal ions in the air, that is...)

What with all the talk of returning stars such as Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, one could be forgiven for forgetting that the cast of are still the principal leads in the sequel.

Fassbender's embittered Magneto was arguably the highlight of the first film, so it's nice to see him in such fine fettle here. Although we do prefer him with his cape and helmet…

Directed by Singer and co-starring James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Peter Dinklage, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.
