If you're a longtime Simmer yourself, you're more than likely familiar with challenges like Rags to Riches and Runaway Teen, or my personal favorite, the Legacy Challenge. The first two are fairly similar in the sense that they involve a good bit of building your Sims from the ground (literally, in some cases) up to survival, and ultimately, success. How does E🧜nchanted by Nature have anything to do with challenge runs, though?
As per the from EA, the expansion pack looks as though it'll let Sims live entirely outside in the open – no clever workarounds required. The developers further confirm this in a subsequent . Innisgreen, the new region launching with Enchanted by Nature, "gives Sims the chance to eat, bathe, sleep, and thrive entirely off the land"⭕ – Sims can sleep in the grass, forage for ingredients, and eat freshly caught fish.
Bringing the Sims "closer to self-reliance," as EA describes, is precisely what challenges like Rags to Riches and Runaway Teen are all⛄ about – hence why players can't wait to truly have their challenge runs' Sims start from the bottom, come Enchanted by Nature. "I just know that Runaway, Legacy, and Rags to Riches challenges are going to have a surge in popularity with this pack," comments a fan on the new expansion pack's trailer.
"I love that they're adding homelessness to this pack," adds one player, "way easier for Rags to Riches challenge." Another says the DLC "seems perfect for challenges where you start from 0," while elsewhere, someone exclaims that "Rags to Riches is gonna go crazy in this world!" As a longtime Sims 4 stan myself, I'm inclined to agree – after all, there's only so much bench sleeping and publ💫ic bathroom usage my challenge run Sims can stomach.
The boost for challenge players is, of course, only the tip of Enchanted by Nature's iceberg. Between fairies, foraging, Hobbit-style house building, living off the land, potion making, and more, there's so much to look forward to.

The delightfully colorful 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Paralives🤪 hits Steam Early Access on December 8, and right out the gate cozy gamers will have plenty to keep them busy... or not busy, if theಞy pre👍fer.
Paralives Studio shared what'll be available day one and what will be added later in a Twitter post. In Live mode, in which players manage the lives and relationships of their Parafolks, will include things like career progression, having children, "aging and death," character autonomy, "doing anything as a group;" shops, restaurants, and museums; bills and house fires (love those), and, curiously, modding toღols.
Modding tools? On day one♛? You spoi✅l us, Paralives Studio.
Updates to Live mode within the Early Access period will include weather and seasons, a calendar and family tree; dogs, cღats, and horses; cars, bikes, and houseboats; swimming, story progression for NPCs, gardening and fishing, social events like parties and weddings, town editing tools, and more personality traiꦍts.
Paral𒐪ives is out December 8, 2025 in Early Access!! which means… some features will be available right away and others will be added overtime✨ as free updates ⚙️🛠️ pic.twitter.com/50Fuasp4bR
In Build mode, which does what you think it does, you'll be able to build and move around walls, place roofs and stairs, resize objects, and🍸 cཧolor everything on day one. Later on in Early Access Paralives will add "advanced" tools for roofs and stairs, basement tools, pools, and more furniture and objects. You'll also be able to place windows on curved walls at some point.
Finally, Paramaker mode, in which you make your Parafolks, will let you adjust height, body, and faౠce to your liking, and you'll be able to have tattoos and layered clothes. There's also a genetics and "asymmetry" system that'll let you mix and match eye colors, socks, tha🉐t sorta thing. Pets, an outfit management system, and more clothing, hairstyles, and accessories are coming later.
Personally, I feel like things like cats, fishing, and weather are pr✤etty integral to the cozy game experience, so I'll probably hold off on Paralives until th🎐ose essentials are added. But don't let me stop you from having yourself a cozy ol' time as soon as it hits Early Access closer to the end of the year.
In the meantime, here are some 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like The Sims we recommend playing today.
]]>The only concrete teaser we have is a clip from a featuring Megan Thee Stallion, Quen Blackwell, and Ebonix. It starts about 33 minutes and 43 seconds into the ▨overall video, showcasing what looks almost exactly like a ꧋fairy house from The Sims 3, albeit in The Sims 4, this time. The little house emits a glittery glow and bounces about as if a party is underway inside before text pops up indicating a "new trailer" is dropping on June 12.
What that new trailer is, the video doesn't specify – but judging by the small home's features, how it mirrors the fairy houses and parties in The Sims 3, and how long the community has been asking for fairies, it comes as no surprise that fans are convinced they know what the next Sims 4 expansion pack will include. "Yep, it's definitely fairies! I am SO excited," one such player exclaims under a recent thread regarding the t🌱easer.
from
"I'm really excited they're adding fairies (hopefully)," adds another fan. "It better be fairies." The short clip isn't the only insinuation from EA that fair folk are in the works, either – an from the developers has been updated a few times now, most recently to show an image and text hinting toward an alchemy-aligned new sk🦩ill – the "Apothecary skill." This, coupled with the site's past h🔯ints, has players doubling down on their theories.
from
On a separate post referencing one of the website teasers, the community can be seen speculating what "Mystical Sims" and "Disruptive Sims" may mean, as well as if the mention of "Plant Lovers" might point to a long-awaited PlantSim overhaul – something 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:mods have taken care of in the meantime. "Disruptive and 🍌Mystical Sims? Is it possi🐈ble for two different occults," questions a fan in the replies, "evil and nice fairies?"
That could indicate an even more fleshed-out fairy system than The Sims 3. Other teasers on EA's mysterious website seemingly name-drop the potential expansion pack's accompanying neighborhood, "Innisgreen," a location that sounds as enchanting as the Realm of Magic DLC's own world feels. It's a lot to piece together, but come June 12, we'll hopefully know for certain whether fairies are finally making a comeback or not.

There's always room for more 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like The Sims 4, it seems, and inZOI i♎s proving just that with its ever-growing popularity. The hyper-realistic life sim has now reached a major milestone, as celebrated by developers in a recent online , hitting a whopping one million sales after only a week of being available via Steam Early Access. As Krafton writes, thanking fans for their support, "It's a number that still fe𒁃els unreal to us."
The studio promises to "continue working hard" on inZOI, with CEO Kim Chang-han stating that developers will "actively communicate with players and foster inZOI as Krafton's long-term franchise IP" from here on out. The team also has future updates in store, with new content, including mod support an♏d cities, as well as free DLC planned to drop between now and the game🌠's full release whenever it leaves Early Access.
We are honored to share🧸 that inZOI has surpassed 1 million sales — made possible thanks to your incredible support. It’s a number that still feels unreal to us and a milestone we could not have reached without each and every one of y𓃲ou. Your excitement, your creations, your… pic.twitter.com/tNYx5NjLyh
Feedback is looking solid so far, too, with a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"Very Positive" rating overall and over 13,000 reviews describing the new game as both a strong 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 competitor and a good Ea♚rly Access title on its own. "If you love the life simulation genre but have felt frustrated with The Sims 4's endless DLC model and limitations," reads one of the recent positive reviews on ༺, "inZOI is absolutely worth checking out."
While inZOI is only currently available to PC players using Steam, Krafton plans to launch the life sim on both the PlayStatꦛion 5 and Xbox Series X|S following ♚the Early Access period, too. The game is priced at $39.99 as of now, but that number is likely to go up upon inZOI's full release. Until then, however, all updates, including any DLC, will come to the base game entirely for free.
The Sims 4's most notorious NSFW mod has come to hyper-realistic life sim inZOI
]]>That's right, WickedWhims is officially available to download for inZOI – and no, it's not an April Fools' Day prank. TURBODRIVER, the mastermind behind what arguably stands as one of the most well-known 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 mods ever, reveals as much in a recent online . "It's happening," celebrates the creator, dropping a link to W🦂ickedWhims for inZOI. "Check out the first release of WickedWhims for inZOI, available now for free!"
💜 It's happening! Check out the first release of WickedWhims for InZoi, available now for free! 🎉WickedCC: //t.co/MOMKF4UcZc pic.twitter.com/fR♎TRJwzVKk
As detailed on the mod's official website, WickedWhims ticks all the essential NSFW boxes, including "fully animated and interactive sex" l♉ongtime Sims 4 stans might be searching for: "Get on a bed, or on a sofa, or the floor, or anywhere you want to get freaky with anybody you want," reads the page. "Experience sex animations from a steadily growing number of creators." And, of course, it's all "fully controllable."
It certainly didn't take long – after all, inZOI only released a few days ago. As a Sims fan and life sim frequenter in general myself, though, I'm not surprised. Assistant director Joel Lee confirmed in a past Q&A about inZOI, the new game 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:only "sort of" features sex, and players "have to assume that's what's happening" rather than seeing any explicit acti💦vity, much like how the "WooHoo" action and others work in The Sims 4.
]]>Wh🍸ether you're a hardened expert in the field of pool ladder removal or a fan of placing four walls around a Sim with no door in sight, you might be excited to learn that inZOI developers plan to deliver plenty of death variations to players come the new game's early access release next week on March 28. Kjun confirms as much during a recent , answering a curious content creator who wonders how many ways Zois can die.
"One of the biggest features of this game is death," Kjun admits, going on to describe how Zois might perish. "In inZOI, we have a lot of different types of death because life comes with death. In inZOI you could go to the bathroom and if you slip you might die. Or if you eat some old food you might have to go to the bathroom and, again, die. And when you fix broken-down electronics, you might get electrocuted, so you need to be careful."
Much like in The Sims 4, however, the chance a Zoi will die while doing mundane tasks is pretty low to make things fair. "I made the chance really low, but actually, electronics can very often break down," explains Kjun. "We have 16 different types of deaths." Of those 16, one stands out as particularly unique to inZOI – death v🐽ia social status, basically. "One thing that I can say that only exists in inZOI is dying from the need for recognition."
"In the modern world, you find a lot of people feel fulfilled from being recognized by others and this death reflects that," says the director. "For example, in inZOI, let's say I fought with someone, and that rumor spread and came back to me. I could get a text message about it, or a friend of mine could ꦡtell me about the rumor and if the rumor is negative then my need for acknowledgemeಞnt can go down. And if that drops too drastically, then you might die."
Death by embarrassment sounds pretty relatable – but there's more. "I reiterate, we have a simulation and death and this type of thing is a part of the game," Kjun concludes, ending with a warning: "Another thing that I wanted to mention about death is that you could get hit by cars. So you might want to be careful around cars." Honestly, I'll take death via car if it means Zois💫 can actually drive – I'm looking at you, The Sims 4.

First things first, in The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies you need to register your small business via the till logo in the bottom right corner of your screen, or via your phone. This is the 'Owned Businesses' tab and the first thing you'll see is the option to 'Register Small Business' which costs 750 Simoleons. Note: When you register a small business, all the rooms on the lot are set to Public, meaning customers can access🌠 your entirꦕe home. You can select any room and change the Area Assignment to avoid this, unless you don't mind.
After you've registered your small business and parted ways with some upfront cash, you’ll be prompted to complete customization options for your small business via the 'Owned Businesses' tab. This applies to everything from its name, 🍷to what business activities take place, to your staff, to how you'll charge customers and more. Each setting is incredibly important, but it's also important to note that you can change these 𒁃settings at any time. What you do is not set in stone.
First up, choose a name for your business. You can be as creative or straightf🔴orward as you like, but you🏅 can always add extra flourish by writing a business description and selecting a logo to show off the services on offer.
Next, you can navigate these however you want, but there's Business Activities, Business Lot Assignment, Entrance Fees/Price Modifier, and Target Customers. For Business Activities, these represent what will take place when your businessᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ is finally open. W꧙hilst you can pick up to five activities, there's 100s to choose from – though this number will vary depending on how many expansion packs you have. When you choose certain options, like Pottery Studio for example, the activities list will automatically populate with some relevant options. You can chop and change these, depending on what you'd like your business to look like.
For Business Lot Assignment, you can pick whether your business will run from your residential home or whether you'd like to buy a Small Business Venue lot. For Entrance Fees/Price Modifier, once you've placed a Ticket Kiosk purꦑchased in Buy Mode, you ca🦩n choose how much you charge for entry. The options are as follows:
Finally, you can choose the sort of Target Customers you want to attract to your business. For this, you can pick certain Age, Career, Martial Status, Financial Status, Trail, Skill Level 2+, Occult, Celebrity, and Supervised Customer. So, if you want y𝕴our business to be more exclusive, this is where you can streamline who your business is for.
Before you open, you'll need to hire employees in the Owned Businesses tab in the bottom right corner of Live Mode. This will show you a window to Manage Employees and here you can hire♏ and/or fire up to 3 people. They can be friends, family, or literally anybody you've ever spoken to as long as they're a Teen or older. Handily, you can also rope in♌ anyone who lives with you to complete business tasks without having to pay them a wage.
For your actual employees though, wage, like real life, is important. If you pay them too little, they m🍨ay just quit. And, if you pay them a nice amount, their sentiment will echo their appreciation.
As your business continues ✱to open and hopefully impress, you'll build up Business Renown. As you slowly grow your business, this Business Renown will earn you Perk Points that can be spent on some super helpful Small 🌄Business Perks.
Depending on how you've aligned your business, whether you're a dreamer, schemer, or neutral, will sway which Perks you decide to buy from which category as they'll affect interactions with cu🏅stomers and the way your business continues to improve. So, make a living doing what you love in The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies and craft a small business that reflects your Sim's passions.

]]>The upcoming life sim incorporates some of The Sims comm🎶unity's most highly requested features, including throwback mechanics from EA's older entries like The Sims 3. Parali🤪ves' developers show these off regularly online, with their most recent highlighting something I've been yearning for ever since The Sims 3 introduced me to it: the color and pattern customization tool. Everything in Paralives can be edited by players freely.
The game's items come wi▨th fun, premade swatches to choose from, too, just like those found in The Sims 3. It's a nostalgia trip with ♔better, more vibrant visuals.
"We now have premade swatch colors for close to 1,000 items," ♛write the devs, with an attached clip of object customization in action. "Players can also edit their own to customize their builds," they add, showing off the color and pattern changing as well.
we now have premade swatch colors for close to 1000 🌱items! players can also edit their own to customi🥃ze their builds 🎨 pic.twitter.com/B9bvdEYUJh
It's one of many features I'm excited about that the Paralives team has so far showcased, and there's hopefully not much longer left to wait now until the game's 20♔25 launch into ea🍃rly access on Steam.
After all, the past couple of years haven't exactly been kind to hopeful 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like The Sims 4, with examples like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:inZOI's delay last year as well as 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Life by You🌼 and its cancelation springi🧸ng to mind. For the time being, however, Paralives seems safe.
And if you're anything like me and are chomping at the bit to play Paralives, you can wishlist it now on to keep up to date wit꧂h any news from the devs. There are all sorts of progress updates to browse on Steam, too, from a look at the loft building in-game to a deep dive into the life sim's stunning day and night cycle.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to pour another thousand hours into The Sims 3 while I ﷽wait.
]]>According to Krafton, yes – or, well, "sort of." Speaking in a recent Q&A, assistant director Joel Lee confirms as much after a fan asks if inZOI will include "interactions for the purpose of cr🎃eating babies." While the life sim will indeed have such interactions, they might not be as visually 🏅detailed or fleshed out as some Wicked Whims enjoyers are hoping they'll be. "Our answer is: sort of," explains Lee, going on to describe how.
"There is a feature in the game that you obviously know what's happening, the male Zoi and the female Zoi are together, likely in bed, with the intention of creating babies," says the lead. "How visually apparent is that? That's where you have to go to your imagination. What you're seeing is not what you're seeing; you have to assume that's what's happening. Is that clear enough for everyone?" Bottom line, as Lee 💝puts it: "It's there. Sort of."
But, as stressed by Lee, "Maybe not to the level that everyone would have been expecting." As a long-time Simmer myself, I get WooHoo-esque vibes from Krafton's description of the in-game sex so far – not too graphic or raunchy, but a stylized version of the real deal suited to fit within inZOI. As is the case with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 mods, though, I'm almost certain that fans will conjure up their own *ahem* Wicked Whims-style animations to down🌳load𒈔.
While you wait for inZOI, here are 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:10 games like The Sims 4 to check out right now.
]]>Not good at all, in fact – so much so, that one unwanted addition might even rival the incest bug that made Sims want to date family members. According to players' new reports online, the latest update has brought with it a glitch of sorts that makes child Sims appear pregnant. A recent Reddit highlights the disturbing bug, with the original poster🎀 sharing a screenshot of an affected child in-game. "Umm guys … My kid is pregnant."
from
Fellow Simmers have flooded the comments𝓀 with their own experiences, showcasing that the bug is, unfortunately, not an isolated incident. "This is not the first post I've seen about pregnant kids after the update, unfortunately," writes one. "It's a base game glitch with the new update," explains another fan. "I have one, too." Elsewhere in the replies, players acknowledge how disgusting the glitch is – a sentiment I'd argue we all share.
"This is an actual nightmare," reads a response. "Sims 4 gets the most horrific bugs." As a dedicated Sims stan myself, I'm sad to say the latter statement is true – and it's not even just The Sims 4, either. Every entry has had its fair share of mind-boggling glitches, from pets walking on their hind legs to children going to work instead of adults. This might just end up being one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:worst Sims 4 bugs ever, though – among plenty.
Want to spice your game up a bit? Here are some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Sims 4 mods available now.
While the beloved series' new burglars aren't the raccoons in trench coats people speculated they might be, they're here nonetheless – and they're just as silly as they were in the first three Sims entries. A short of the NPCs in action showcases as much, with a burglar breaking into an unsuspecting Sim's house to steal her belongings while the iconic robbery-in-pr🐻ogress music plays. Eventually, the two Sims fight – and later fall in love, because why not?
It's a proper throwback to The Sims' golden era, and fans are obsessed. "We love to see it," comments one Simmer, while another writes that "using the original Sims 1 music was a nice touch." Burglars aren't the only new arrival in The Sims 4, however – an accompanying lot challenge, bug fixes, Create-A-Sim mode items, and tattoo customizations can also be found in-game now – right on time for the Businesses and Hobbies e𒊎xpansion pack.
The burglar is back along with a new Burglar Lot challenge,๊ tattoo customization options, in-game 25th Birthday apparel, bug 🍒fixes, improvements & more! 👀Available in game now ✨//t.co/kQ9ZeIh1ri
With the tattoo career dropping alongside the DLC next month, the ability to customize Sims' tattoos is the perfect way to prepare before players can do so with the upcoming paint tool for Simoleons. Whether it's a silly snail riding a skateboard (as seen in the expansion's ) or a highly ꦰdetailed floral tattoo, the design possibilities truly feel endless come Businesses and Hobbies – and there's not long left to wait until March 6 now, either.
It seems as though it's a better time to be a Simmer now than ever, between Businesses and Hobbies and EA's other recent surprises like the nostalgia-inducing 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:re-releases of the first two Sims games or 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 3 receiving its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:first update in 10 years. There's also no telling what's next for the fourth installment, especially as EA previously admitted there would be 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:no Sims 5 but rather continuous work on The Sims 4 and the mysterious 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Project Rene.
]]>After a half-dozen hours getting a Sims 2 Legacy Challenge - a popular that has you building a multigenerational legacy from humble beginnings - off the ground, I've been impressed with how well the Legacy Collection is working. I've had a couple of odd crashes and interface quirks, but they're few and far between. I only started playing after EA had deployed a few patches to the game, and I was hopeful that these updates had indeed knocked out all the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:major issues that were being🅘 re🧔ported in the first days after the game's release. Then I spoke with my colleague Anja, who's still having all the consistent crashing issues 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:she reported in hﷺer initial impressio🐻ns. We're both on high-end PCs. I don't know why our experiences are so diffe💟rent.
But while I'm not here to try and spin these kinds of technical issues as a good thing, there is something appropriate about The Sims feeling like it's being held together by duct tape and good wishe𝕴s, because that's exactly how I remember the experience of playing these games back in the mid '00s. While the past decade♈ or so has gotten us all used to stable PC games that work consistently across a wide range of hardware configurations, that wasn't the reality for the vast majority of PC games in this era, and The Sims in particular is vast mess of complicated gameplay systems and endless expansion packs building on top of each other to create a uniquely broken experience. I'm starting to wonder if it's even possible to truly "fix" these games.
You might have rose-colored memories of your time with the old Sims games, but I'm here to tell you that it was not all sunshine and roses playing these games on the contemporary PCs of the '00s. These were big, complicated games that could bring all but the highest-end machines to their knees, and the casual audience that The Sims attracted suddenly had to become PC gaming experts to keep their games in working order. Each new expansion was like adding another level to a house of cards. By the time I got to Hot Date - jꦏust the third expansion pac♔k for The Sims 1 - my load times were ballooning into the minutes range, and I held my breath every time I took a Sim out of the house for fear that this trip would be the one that would cause the inevitable crash.
Both The Sims and its sequel have always been a little broken, and that converts into a lot broken once both games have gotten years worth of progressively more complicated expansion packs. That's just as true with the Legacy Collection and the fan patches today as it was with the original games running on Win🦹dows 98 and XP decades ago.
Honestly, it's a little less onerous in the Sims 1 Legacy Collection, which features reasonable load times and solid꧙ performance, but I do still have to keep a few of those old breaths held back, especially when I take♍ Sims on vacation, which is probably the most reliable crash trigger I've seen in either Legacy version. That's an issue that, notably, does not occur in the fan-patched version of the game I've tried, but those fan patches have their own problems.
Chiefly there's the problem that, outside of the Legacy Collections, it's effectively impossible to play The Sims 1 or 2 on a modern PC without engaging in some form of piracy. Even if you own the original game discs - and have a disc drive hooked up to your modern PC - pretty much every mod guide you're going to come across will tell you to first of all replace your .exe files with a cracked version, as that's the only way to evade the crashes caused by the original DRM impose♌d on these games. There are exemptions to the DMCA that could potentially give the OK to this kind of crack, but I ain't a lawyer and neither are any of the modders creating these patches, so you'll have to navigate that legal and ethical minefield yourself if you want to go for the unofficial upgrades.
Beyond those Sims 1 vacation issues, I've found the fan patches and official Legacy Collections to offer roughly equivalent experiences across both games. I think the Legacy version of Sims 1 is slightly more visually appealing, but the fan-patched Sims 2 probably looks slightly better in the end. Fully stress testing both versions of each game is going to take a long, long time giveꦫn the volume of content in each, and the results of that testingꦇ will quickly become irrelevant when another patch comes down the pipe.
Perhaps I'm being too forgiving of the Legacy Collections, but that's easy to do when I'm not experiencing the same issues that other players are. For me, these are now the easiest and most convenient ways to access two of the most significant video games ever created, which is all I'd𝕴 hoped for from this release. I fear the instability and inconsistency that others have found, hopeful though I am that more and more of it is going to be fixed, might just be the price of Maxis' ambitious legacy.
If you're looking for more 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like The Sims, you know where to click.
]]>There are so many excellent new games of 2025 coming out in the coming weeks that I just don't think I have it in me to sit down and explore Bohemia right now. Still, though, the green eyed monster of FOMO has firmly dug its claws in, and I'm desperate to get in on the action somehow. Then, after reading up on how the first few hours of the game – specifically regarding 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:how tough it is to simply survive – I realized that it sounded oddly… familiar. I've decided to take matters into my own hands and with a little help from 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 a﷽nd the . Presenting: Henry of Henford-on-Bagley.
First things first: I had to recreate KCD2's protagonist in The Sims 4. This was a little tricky as someone who has never played either RPG, but that's whatไ Google is for. But perhaps the hardest part was to try and find appropriate attire for my medieval hero.
In the end, I went for a pirate costume –the closest thing The Sims 4 has to medieval Germanic villager gear. After fine-tuning his facial features as best as I could, it was time to move Henry into his new digs. I already knew that I would be basing him in the quaint village environs of Henford-on-Bagley, a Sims 4 neighborhood featuring charming cottages, wild foxes, off-grid and simple living house traits for an electronic-free existence, and plenty of space to someday acquire his ver🌠y own Pebbles. In fact, my journey to getting Pebbles would go on to shape the rest of my experiment, but first, I'd need mone😼y.
A key component of the Rags to Riches challenge is to start on a large vacant lot with 0 household funds. You can make money however you like as long as you remain unemployed. I'd thought about giving Henry a potion-making aspiration in line with what I've heard about 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:what to do first in KCD2, at least as far as making money, but decided to make use of the Kleptomania trait instead. This allowed me to lean more on the thievery side of things, especially given that only Spellcasters can brew potions and that is a little more high fantasy than Bohemia is known for. Sadly, there were 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:no lutes to pilfer in the Gnome's Arms pub. There was, however, a sofa. One successful swipe later, I made my first 500 🅠simoleons from selling it.
The most lucrative money making strategy I found? Catching and selling frogs. I discovered this by 👍accident upon a visit to the local park, initially with thoughts of food-pilfering in mind to sate my hero's empty belly. An accidental click on a pond nearby the picnic tables brought up an interaction menu – including the option to "look for frogs".
There's 🐬nothing more medieval than living off the land – even if that land is public property🐲.
As soon as I sold my first leopard frog for 🅰a cool 30 simoleons, I was hooked. I sat Henry by that pond for hours, filling his activity queue with "look for frogs" and promptly selling them all. Countless ribbeting friends later, Henry was si꧟tting on 600 simoleons. It was time to finally build a semblance of home.
Henry's starter home was a humble affair: a hay bed, a wooden tub (no more showering in the rain!), and a single chair. A gas lamp in the middle of the space offered the only source of light, enough to keep that pesky Tense moodlet from rearing its head as a consequenc♑e of living in the dark. In lieu of an expensive toilet, I opted for a nice bush in the garden to pee in. Proud though I was of h💙aving racked up enough money to afford all these luxuries in a short space of time, the whole thing felt a little bit lonely. It was time to rack up enough dosh to acquire Pebbles the horse, at last.
I learned of Pebbles through my colleague Heather. I thought I'd messed up at first – it would certainly have been easier to make Pebbles from scratch in Create-A-Sim – but after doing some research, it actually sounded like a more authentic experience to cough up the cash and travel on foot to "retrieve" – in this case, spend 1,000 simoleons on – my horse. After another lengthy frog-catching session and napping on another park bench until the equ🃏estrian center opened, I was able to select a Pebbles-like to purchase. Unfortunately for Henry, he is not a very good rider – but at least now he has a friend to accompany him on many more acts of thievery.
I'm enjoying my Sims-ification of Kingdom Come massively at the moment, tho⭕ugh I can't help but feel like the frog thing was a bit of a cheat. Essentially, though, there💜's nothing more medieval than living off the land – even if that land is public property, and even if I have to hurriedly cancel Henry's every attempt to play games on his mobile phone. Perhaps I should have given this a whirl in The Sims Medieval instead?
Could Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 become one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best RPGs of 2025?
]]>It's an exciting time to be a Simmer between EA's nostalgia-inducing 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:re-releases of the first two Sims games, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 3 recently receiving its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:first update from EA in 10 years, and The Sims 4 teasing its upcoming hobby-related expansion pack. The new DLC channels some of the series' most iconic moments with its Sims 2-esque Open for Business vibes, an🎃d it seems 💛there might be more content reminiscent of past titles' own to come.
In a cryptic online, EA writes "wait… what actually was that?" Alongside the text is a short clip of The Sims 4 showing a mysterious masked, tall figure dressed in a lengthy coat 🌊and hat. The strange "person" – if you can call them (it?) that🌄 – rummages through a garbage bin before quickly walking away. A bushy gray tail can be seen sticking out of the figure's coat, implying that this is, in fact, not a person at all.
wait ... what actually was that? 😳 pic.twitter.com/8frNOQA🦹4HY
As fans speculate in the comments under EA's post, the figure appears to be a few raccoons standing upright on top of one another inside of a trench coat. While that's a cute thought on its own, it's the deeper implication that has the community excited – raccoons are associated with theft in pop culture, those shown in the clip seem to be stealing from S🍌ims' trash, and there's a new coming to The Sims 4.
from
With all of the "raccoon things," as players describe, highlighted in Businesses and Hobbies teasers coupled with the aspiration, Simmers are theorizing that "burglars are coming back" and loving "The Sims 2 vibes." At the least, fans certainly hope it's the case, with one simply writing "pls bring burglars back" and another admitting EA "not bringing burglars back would straight up be incredibly s♏ad" – a sentiment I agree with as a Sims stan myself.
from
Elsewhere, players wonder whether the trench coat "Sims" are actually scam artists rather than the series' more traditional burglars. A recent thread sees fans discussing the possibility of con men, explaining that it could all be" related to the 'Schemer' business alignment" dropping with Businesses a🦋nd Hobbies. Only time will tell for sure what EA is cooking up with its raccoons or trench coat burglars, though – and I can't wait.

]]>Madi, known online as "acottonsock," spent hours putting a guide on every possible Sims 3 fix together so that players can actually enjoy the 2009 life sim on newer PCs. Her , which she rightfully dubs a "definitive guide," covers just about anything an๊d everyth🤪ing fans have spent years suffering through – from issues related to graphics cards to those caused by modern CPUs – and is unsurprisingly over an hour long.
It might seem daunting to sit through so much content, but Madi has added handy timestamps to make the guide more bite-sized for folks looking to find specific fixes. Her video includes some must-have mods, too, as well as fan-created patches. This isn't Madi's first impressive Sims-related roundup, either, with her 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"masterlist" of over 200 Sims 2 mods dropping just days prior following EA's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:re-releases of the series' first two games.
If there's one thing the Simming community is good at, it's cleaning up areas of The Sims that have gone overlooked for years and enhancing the games with all flavors of creative mods. There's no telling whether EA will address The Sims 3's issues itself anytime soon, especially as work cracks on with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 and its upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:hobby-related expansion pack, but fans can safely look to Madi's thorough guide for answers until then.
Hopping back into the game now to fix it? Here are the best 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 3 cheats for a solid start.
The Sims 2 was the first game in the series to introduce the motherlode money cheat code we still use in The Sims 4, but this is ꩲjust one of the many useful cheats available in The Sims 2. Whether you want to force a twin pregnancy, kidnap neighbors for your household, or even control aging, The Sims 2 Legacy Collection cheat codes allow you to further mold your virtual experience to your liking.
Our guide below lays out every cheat code we know works with The Sims 2 Legacy Collection (we've tested them), alongside some handy cheat tips to make the most of them. Just picked up the re-release? Check out our guide to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 1 Legacy Collection cheats, too.
To enable cheats in The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, press Ctrl, Shift, and C on your keyboard – this method is the same as every other The Sims game on PC. This brings up the cheat console text box in the top-left corner of your screen. To enter a cheat, t🃏ype it in as below, then press Enter. If the cheat is successful yo🐓u'll see your changes in the game, but if it's typed incorrectly or isn't a working code, an "Error in cheat" message appears in the text box.
To expand the cheat console, 🐭input "expand" and press Enter; to close the console, input "exit" and press Enter.

]]>If you spent countless hours with The Sims 1, you likely remember some cheats through sheer muscle memory. The Rosebud money code, which quickly increases your funds (AKA Simoleons), remains imprinted in players' brains, while other classic codes, like move_objects, are great at dealing with pesky things like bills and trash. Don't worry; you won't need to remember them all, because our The Sims 1 Legacy Collection cheats guide lists the cheats we've confirmed work with ꦺthe re-release – as some original cheats aren't valid with this version. So, whether you're new to The Sims 1 or a returning player, these cheat codes give you even greater control over the life sim.
Just like in the original The Sims 1 game and more recent releases, you can access the cheat console by holding Ctrl and Shift, then selecting C on your keyboard.
A text box appears in the top-left-hand corner of your screen where you can now input your cheat code. Press Enter to confirm the cheat code and, if it's successful, you'll see your relevant changes in-game. If your cheat code is entered incorrectly, you'll get a pop-up that says, "Sorry, no such cheat!🐲" In some cases, the pop-up may prompt you for more detail, like a number, indicating that the cheat code is right, but perhaps the format isn't.
If you want to input more than one cheat at once, simply insert a semicolon (;) between each cheat code and press Enter when you're done. ꦏTo repeat the last cheat you entered, without typing it out again, type an exclamation mark (!) into the text box and press Enter.
Armed with the cheat codes above (and years of experience), her🍃e ♌are some of our top cheat tips for The Sims 1.
In The Sims 1, you could use the move_objects on cheat to simply delete a Sim through Buy or Build Mode. You can't outright do that now, but there is a way around it to get rid of a pesky Sim or to give your Sim a serious mood boost. Have the Sim sit on a chair, th🐭en delete the chair; this deletes the Sim and the chair. To bring your Sim back, click their portrait, and they'll return with full Mood bars. This is a great way to get promotions quickly.
Enabling the move_objects on cheat means you can delete annoying bills via the Buy or Build Mode. To avoid b💫ills completely, delete your mailbox.
This tip also utilizes the move_objects on cheat. Place an object in the middle of the ☂road, to block the way ahead for your carpool. The car won't be able to go anywhere and you can jump in, even if you're a little bit late. Just delete the object when you're done, so the car can move off as normal.

]]>It's an especially exciting time to be a Simmer right now, between The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:re-releases on PC and The Sims 4's celebratory update featuring 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:more than 70 items – but that's not all. The rumors of a possible expansion for the fourth game focusing on activities and jobs floating about on social med꧙ia recently have turned out to be true, with a new revealin🌄g a Businesses and Hobbies pack arriving next month.
The pack instantly strikes me as The Sims 4 version of The Sims 2's own O🐎pen for Business expansion, boasting long-awaited features like multi-type lots in which Sims can both work and live. As for the showcased hobbies and jobs them🌠selves, the video highlights all sorts of activities for Sims to engage in, from running an entire candy shop to training and operating as tattoo artists with fully customizable tattoos.
Yes, fully customizable – players can draw their own tattoos without restrictions to place on Sims' bodies – whether that's for better or worse. As a Simmer myself, I can already foresee the whacky ink the community is sure to come up with, and the trailer's inclusio🦩n of a snail wearing a cowboy hat atop a skateboard likely doesn't even scratch the surface of what silly designs fans will create come Businesses and Hobbies' launch.
The trailer shows other hobbies and jobs in action, too, including pottery – one that aligns especially well with other packs' such as Nifty Knitting. There's no telling what else is to come with the Businesses and Hobbies expansion just yet, however, until it launches on March 6. If you're like me and you already can't wait to play, you can pre-order the pack now on the official website for $39.99 and score 🐟some extra goodies.
]]>Speaking in a recent interview with , Wright discusses the conception of The Sims – a titl🐭e that "everyone in the room hated the idea of" but arguably revolutionized the simulation genre. "In early versions of the game," admits the developer, "the autonomy was too good." So good, i🌊n fact, that the Sims actually managed to outplay the players in a way. "Almost anything the player did was worse than the Sims running on autopilot."
The𒁃re's no fun in a life sim without any "sim" elements, so to speak – so what did Wright do? He stirred some chaotic energy into the mix and got the game's Sims to a comfortable, much more user-reliant stage in which controlling them felt rewarding. Suddenly, things could take a turn for the worse very quickly. A grilled cheese sandwich could morph into a killer fire, and a pet guinea pig's bite could leave Sims with a deadly disease.
According to Wright, the ridiculous and often nonsensical way Sims approach problems is a deliberate inclusion on the devs' behalf. All of us long-time fans of The Sims have witnessed it firsthand: a fire breaks out, and Sims react by flailing their arms around wildly while yelling rather thanꦓ extinguishing the flames themselves. It's what makes the series so wonderfully whacky, though, and it gives players a sense of godlike purpose.
The difficulty of managing everything isn't for everyone, however, and recent reactions to EA's The Sims and The Sims 2 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:re-releases on PC prove as much. In fact, the original game seems to be teaching newer fans of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:lesson in retro life sim difficulty, and as a hardened Simmer myself, I get it – my own 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 2 re-release preview discusses how much harder (and m💃ore rewarding) the series useꦛd to be.
The rise, fall, and rise again of The Sims: 10 moments that shaped EA's 25-year life sim legacy
]]>It looks like EA is wishing The Sims a very humple borpnah, between the Legacy Collection 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:re-releases on PC and the new Sims 4 update – but it's not done. In what appears to be a for a full trailer coming Thursday, February 6, a Sim is seen lying atop a massage-style table with an uncomfortable expression across his face. A tattoo is clearly visible on his arm, and what looks to be tattoo ink-esque art ad꧂orns the wall.
that's gonna leave a mark... 😉Feb 6 @ 8 𝄹AM PT ➡️ //t.co/xLoWU3DVoM pic.twitter.com/ieaMZWPAn1
The attached caption also sounds oddly tattoo-aligned: "That's gonna leave a mark." Could a tattoo artist career be in the works for The Sims 4? Rumors of a possible expansion themed around hobb🎐ies and job𒐪s have been floating about social media recently, and EA's short clip might point to there being some truth to them. Fans are already speculating that the coming trailer will showcase just that – another pack that's all about careers.

"GET TO WORK 2.0 WE WON," comments one especially enthusiastic Simmer. "I'm so ready for The Sims 4 Open for Freetime Expansion Pack," jokes another. There's no telling just yet whether that's what the teaser is truly leading up to reveal, however, or if the rumors circulating online will ring true. For now, though, the community has over 70 colorful clothes and items to explore as 🍬w𝓰ell as the new Blast from the Past event to play through.
]]>But 25 years later, with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 still going strong, it's no doubt that EA struck gold by swapping to life sims. As one of the longest-running, best loved game franchises ever, you'd be hard pressed not to find someone with fond memories of it – past or pr🌌esent. But how did we get here from the days of Windows 98? I've picked out my top 10 standout additions to the game across its history that now stand out as milestone moments, each a stepping stone from risky venture to genre titan as we celebrate 25 years of Simming.
Many credit The Sims' 2000 launch with birthing the life sim genre as we know it today, refining and reframing more holistic management tools as seen in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best city builders to put a new challenge before players: to build and man🐷age a digital life.
It's a simple enough premise, but it's one that stuck. The Sims gamified the normalcies of life with an oddly therapeutic touch, turning mundanity to intrigue as players navigated not only their own Sim families but𝕴 those of resꦐident townies and NPCs, uncovering existing world lore while creating their own stories and changing the landscape of the neighborhood – literally, too, thanks to Build Mode. The Sims provided the raw sandbox tools and let our creativity run wild with them, paving the way for the series' second generation.
The Sims 2 ๊improve👍d on its predecessor in many ways, but one that stands out is the introduction of preset stories in pre-made households. From map view, players could hover over base game families to read a short blurb about each of them, painting a Desperate Housewives-like portrait of their scandalous domestic dramas.
From them, we can learn that Don Lothario is wooing both Caliente sisters. Daniel Pleasant is having an affair with his ꧃housemaid. The Monty and Capps of Veronaville are constantly at one another's throats, much like their Shakespearean namesakes. Not only did preset narratives encourage more interactivity between player-made families and pre-made ones, it opened up the door for The Sims 2 as a narrative devising platform, with the ability to edit each blurb in accordance with the player's own influenc🌟e on each household. Sadly, these preset family biographies were nixed in follow-up games, but The Sims 2 is when the franchise really started feeling like a story-led experience as well as a management sim.
Who knew a little thing like snow could make such a massive difference? The Sims 2: Seasons stands out as a momentous release in franchise history, proving the power of subtlety over kitsch when it comes to immersion factor. Seasons brought weather to Pleasantview and beyond, as well as functional outerwear and holiday celebrations to create a stronger sense of time passage in the lives of♋ our Sims.
The implementation of seasonal weather also had knock-on effects for many other gameplay systems. A rainy day called for coats and boots, with Sims popping open an umbrella when stepping out in stormy weather. Neglecting to wrap up during winter meant your Sim could freeze to death in their swim suits, or die of heatstroke in the summer months if they didn't stay cool. Many expansion packs have made the jump between generations, but Seasons became such an intrinsic part of The Sims 2 that it's now seen as a must-have for The Sims 3 and 4๊ respectively. If that's not a milestone, I don't know what is.
Ask anyone what they miss about The Sims 3, and it's likely they will say the open world format. Doing away with the loading screens between neighborhood view and individual lots, The Sims 3 was the first time we coul𝓀d watch our Sims stroll around town with a pram, drive their cars around, or visit rabbit hole lots on foot.
The Sims 4 did retain the open world view, but it never quite caught up to The Sims 3's unbroken sense of immersion. Not to mention, the newest iteration of the game is still markedly lacking driveable cars. Guess bikes and horses will have to do for now, but if there's one thing I hope to see from EA now that there's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:no Sims 5 on the horizon🎃, it's the re🌺turn of cars – and fewer loading screens, please.
With the advent of The Sims 3 came one of the most important markers of modern tech being represented in the game: the mobile phone. Every teenage and older Sim came equipped with their own cellphone in their inಞventory, doing away with the necessity for the all-important wall or tabletop phone cradle that featured so heavily in Sims 1 and 2.
I r🌼emember being appalled by it at first, especially given how many self-imposed challenges I liked to embark on at the time that restricted my Sims' use of tech – the Decades Challenge, for example. But soon, I struggled to remember life before my Sims could play games on theꦇir phone while using the toilet, giving their Fun need a nice little buff in the process. Phones would become much more useful in later instalments, as I'll mention further down the list, but here's a shout out to one of The Sims 3's most daring improvements.
When body hair was added to The Siꦅms 3, giving players the option to make their Sims look more like real actual people, it didn't feel like as much of a paradigm shift as it turned out to be. But really, we wouldn't have the more realistic Sim bodies and families we know and love in 2025 if not for The Sims 3: Generations championing the basics.
Inclusivity has become the lifeblood of modern Simming. Putting acne cream on teenagers in The Sims 2 was one of the more immersive, realistic gameplay elements of its era, but Generations upped the ante by offering not only more ways for players to see themselves represented in the game, but more ways to tell stories. All that shaggy body hai🦄r would also lead quite nicely into another Sims 3 era milestone that loved to howl at the moon…
Much as I love the Victorian gothic vampires in The Sims 2: Nightlife, my occult-loving heart truly felt seen in The S⛄ims 3: Supernatural. While zombies and ghosts had been around since 2000, Supernatural adding werewolves, reworked vampires, witches, and fairies into the life state mix allowed players to put a hint of the unusual into their sleepy suburban towns – and boy, did it work a treat.
Werewolves turning at the stroke of midnight on a moonlit night, marking the first time lunar phases were added to the franchise. Fairies sleeping in their treehouses after shri✃nking down to the size of glowbugs. Vampires that hide in plain sight, no longer dressed head to toe in velvet gowns and ornatꦯe diadems, skulking around nightclubs in search of prey. Witches quietly passing down the art of magic to the next generation, more Charmed than Hocus Pocus. The Sims 3: Supernatural stands out as one of my favorite expansion packs in franchise history due to how cleverly each of the occult types is presented, doing away with the kitschy extremities of The Sims 2 to present a more refined take on how these beings might live among us in peace – or cause chaos, if they so wish. Sims 4 Werewolves, eat your heart out.
With the introduction of smartp𒀰hones well established by the time The Sims 4: Highschool Years was released, there was only one thing left to do. Mirror the youth of today and give Sim kids more reasons to doomscroll!
The Trendii app allows teenagers and older Sims to thrift and sell their own outfit creations, giving highschoolers another way to earn a little money on top of their part time jobs and potentially pave the way for a future in fashion. We also have social media apps added, with Sims able to create their own profiles, gain followers, and carve a road to infl📖uencerdom. It sounds bizarre, but by giving teen Sims so many ways to utilize their mobile phones, Highschool Years might be the first time my teenage Sims felt like… well, teenagers. It was just the beginning; 2024's Lovestruck followed suit with the addition of a dating app, and with so many app options out there ripe for the reimagining, I don't imagine Cupid's Corner will be the last.
We do not speak of the darkest time in꧙ The Sims 4ꦐ history when toddlers were markedly absent from the game and babies would age into 7-year-old children overnight. But perhaps Growing Together is an apology for that, proving a milestone achievement on EA's quest to deliver expansive gameplay opportunities at every stage of Sim life.
Infants were added as an interim age group between babies and toddlers in one of my favorite Sims expansions of 2023. They don't do very much except poop, cry, and try to waddle about, but there's something special about seeing realistic infancy in a game that has always put immersion at the heart of its intentions – whether or not it followed through. Having a chance to watch babies reach their milestones is made all the more worthwhile for the knock-on effects to their toddler stage, allowing them to become more confident and developed young people who don't need hal♏f as much help using the potty or learning to talk. No more "grew up poorly" traits for you, then.
This might not be a milestone moment in a Sims pack, but it has changed the course of the series as we once knew it. As we enter 2025, The Sims is embarking on an exciting, albeit strange, new adventure. EA announced last year that The Sims 4 is to exist in perpetuity for tꦫhe time being as the central Sims product, with no plans for The Sims 5 in the pipeline.
What does this mean? Well, for now, it means we won't have to fork out another few grand for new expansion packs for a brand new Sims generation, because The Sims 4 seems here to stay. EA has fought long and hard to get the game up to scratch, even if it took a few years to caꦍtch up to the community's expectati🔯ons. All that's left to do is look ahead to the 25 🎶years stretching out🔥 before us, and wonder what could possibly come next. Hint: cars, please.
Could 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:inZOI finally beat The Sims at its own game?
]]>I'm here to remind you o🦋f the best Sims spin-offs in franchise history, dating back to the Game Boy Advance, DS, and one particular PC game that still holds up brilliantly in 2025. Alas, most of the games below can only be played on the original hardware, but there are one or two that you can still pick up and play today on more modern tech. Ready for a nostalgia trip that only EA could provide? Here are the best ever Sims spin-offs for the ultimate trip down memory lane.
Platform(s): Nintendo Swit🌠ch, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, mobile
The latest old-school Sims spin-off to l🌌and on modern tech, MySims has actually been around for years on classic Nintendo handhelds and consoles. The co🔯zy base builder is different in every way from the mainline Sims games, not only in its more chibi-like cartoonish art design but in its mechanics as well. Rather than create a family, you help a small town rebuild itself to former glory. It's not my favorite Sims spin-off of the bunch, purely down to personal taste. But if you're looking for a game like The Sims that's still markedly different from it – and one you can play on your Switch to boot – then look no further than MySims.
Platform(s): Nintendo DS
Playing off two of the mainline game's most popular expansion packs of the generation, The Sims 2: Apartment Pets is a sweet albeit simple Nintendo DS game. It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like: you own an apartment, and you live in it with a furry friend. The thing that makes Apartment Pets one of the best Sims spin-offs is less the content of the game itself, but the way it makes use of the DS's model specifics to make the experience somehow incredibly engagin🌱g. It's one of those games that immediately makes me pine for the days when two screens were king, and if you have your old DS knocking about, it's well worth a try.
Platform(s): Nintendo DS, Gam🔯e Boy Advance, PS2, Game Cube, PSP, Nintendo Wii
Riffing off the last suggestion but with a little more to it, The Sims 2: Pets saw♏ myriad console and handheld translations. My personal suggestion is the Nintendo DS version, where your Sim works as a vet and must examine, diagnose, and treat a range of animal maladies. It's a fun change-up from the life sim norm, playing more like a management sim with base building elements as your vet builds their reputation, works to inpatient treatment deadlines, and cu🃏ddles a lot of cats and dogs along the way. Each iteration of The Sims 2: Pets is slightly different, so whichever one you go for, know that it'll be a wholly unique experience.
Platform(s): Nintendo Wii, PSP, PS2, Nintendo DS, mobile
What if The Sims 2 had a baby with 2004 TV show Lost? That seems to be the premise of one of my favorite Sims spin-offs, Castaway. Your Sims can thrive in the safe cushy comfort of Pleasantview, but how will they fare on a desert island? The form of a survival game is an oddly perfect fit, using the key Needs management components of The Sims to hone in on the basics of food, water, and shelter maintenance. This is another spin-off wh൲ere the content varies depending on your platform of choice, but the broad strokes are much the same – which means I recommend you try them all.
Platform(s): Nintendo DS, PSP, Game Boy Advance, PS2
We're getting down to the nitty gritty, but it wouldn't be a best Sims spin-off list without pretty much every console iteration of The Sims 2. Unlike how The Sims 4's PS5 edition is identical to the original PC format, The Sims 2 offered unique experiences to all Nintendo and Sony console owners. There's the hotel manager-meets-mystery solver machinations of The Sims 2 for DS, the PSP and PS2's bizarre alien antics, the chance to go undercover in Strangetown on a secret reality show in one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best GBA games… The Sims 2 really was the king of bonkers spin-offs. It's a testament to EA's boundless creativity when it comes to drawing upon the series' wackiest themes, and I still hold each of them in the highe👍st regard in 2025.
Platform(s): Game Boy Advance, PS2, Xbox, Game Cube
I can only speak for one of these editions, but The Sims Bustin' Out – for Game Boy Advance specifically – is a silly-good time. This narrative-focused adventure game sees us exploring new towns never before seen in the world of The Sims, though some faces might be familiar to anyone who's played the other Sims spin-offs on this list. In Bustin' Out, it's all about the grind – which means plenty of Simoleon-boosting minigames on top of winding stories to unravel. There's the requisite Needs management to factor into things as well – this is a Sims game after all – but Bustin' Out put a fresh and streetwise spin on the franchise that walked so our next entry could really run.
Platform(s): Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, PS2, Xbox, G🌺ameCube
Ah, The Urbz. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't think The Urbz is one of the top two Sims spin-offs of all time, and that's all down to its striking maturity. All grown up and in the big city, our Urb is out to be the king or queen of Urbania. From getting a job as a piercer in the game's opening missions to choosing your rep group and fighting for their street cred, The Urbz opened up Sims players to a whole new realm of opportunities. The Game Boy and PS2 versions are 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:very dear to my heart, a moment of bravery as EA decided to 🥀take a leap forward into more sophisticated territory by challenging its players to ma♕ke it big outside suburbia for a change.
Platform(s): PC, Mac
Come on, are you really surprised? The Sims Medieval is the pinnacle of Sims spin-offs, reigning supreme over t꧒hem all. Chaptered instalments allow you to play as everything from a monarch, an apothecary, or a religious figure as you take on quests to explore, control, and grow your kingdom's territory. It's the perfect blend of quasi-RPG mechanics, the life sim genre, and elements of base building to create a unique experience that sits more than comfortably as top dog of EA's off-shoot entries. It's rea🌊lly been no contest in the 14 years since its launch – and with a surprise new patch that dropped just weeks ago, The Sims Medieval's crown shows no sign of tarnishing.

]]>Thankfully, however, EA is listening to fans' feedback on the game-breaking issues and might have updates in store to resolve them. Writing in a recent on the official S💟ims forums, one community manager reveals that the company is aware of the problems players are facing with the retro re-releases. "We recognize some fans are currently experiencing various issues with The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection."
The lead continues, explaining that EA is looking i🌜nto the reported issues: "We are currently investigating these issues and hope to have more information on fixes soon." There's no solid confirmation of upcoming patches or updates, but the statement certainly seems to imply they're underway or at least planned. To speed the process up, EA encourages fans to send in reports with "screenshots, videos, dxdiags, and (for TS1) vulkaninfo.exe files."
There's no telling when EA will release fixes, but as a fan myself, I hope they arrive sooner rather than later. I discuss some of the issues players are facing more in my own 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 2 re-release preview, where I experience one too many crashes. For now, at least, Simmers can look to mods for quick resolutions. The community has been fast to round up the best, with one fan going as far as compiling a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"masterlist" of over 200 Sims 2 mods.
]]>Now that the original Sims game has ret𒉰urned to the limelight thanks to EA's celebratory 25th birthday re-releases, both old fans and newcomers alike are experiencing the pixel-y chaos of 🐟the life sim series' first game. It hasn't all been positive, however, with a steep learning curve – more than two decades have passed since The Sims first launched, after all. As one player writes in an online on the difficulty, "The Sims 1 is VERY challenging."
#TheSims1 is VERY challenging. If you're use꧙d to modern Sims games, TS1 is like a totally different experience. (thread)
The poster goes on to discuss the ways in which The Sims 1 differs frꦛom newer titles, noting how hard needs, jobs, relationships, skills, and other mechanics are. "The Sims 1 is the opposite of The Sims 4 in that sense, where it focuses heavily on gameplay and very little on storytelling," they conclude. "It's fun if you want a strategy game with Sims-like mechanics." Other players seem to echo the same sentiment – The Sims isn't easy.
i 💎forgot how hard this game i🌳s I'M STRUGGLING pic.twitter.com/HsXGaBgGmz
"I forgot how hard this game is," another Simmer. "I'M STRUGGLING." Atta﷽ched to their post is a telling screenshot of The Sims 1 showing their Sims standing atop a pool of water while cooking, their needs all dangerously low. Elsewhere, a well-known Sims 4 stan that "Sims in Sims 1 are too depressed to do anything most of the time" alongside pictures of pop-up m▨essages in-game referring to various depressed Sims.
I sometimes forgot sims in sims 1 are tooꦉ depressed to do anything most of the times pic.twitter.com/HzzQn3LOVH
One Sim is "too depressed to even look at myself," while another is "not in the mood to churn cream into butter." Re🧸latable, honestly – maybe a bit too much, as most players are seemingly looking to escape the difficulties of real life. These aren't the only firsthand accounts describing just how hard The Sims is, either. "I've been trying to make this girlie famous," reads another such online , "but damn this game is hard."
i’ve been trying to make this girlie famous but damn this game is hard. she is in the trenches, broke and only made it to 2 stars after over 4 hou♈rs of gameplayꦚ. i keep selling furniture to pay the bills. house constantly filled with flies & roaches. 😭😭😭 //t.co/Fkg4RD9iJ5
The frustrated poster continues: "She is in the trenches, broke, and only made it to two stars after over four hours of gameplay. I keep selling furniture to pay the bills. House constantly filled with flies and roaches." As a longtime lover of all things Sims myself, I get it – my own 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 2 re-release previewꦆ discusses how much harder (and more rewardi🦋ng) the series' older entries are. It's nothing a little rosebud or two can't fix, though.

]]>It's no secret that a game with 25-year-old roots isn't as fleshed out as modern-day releases. The Sims 2 isn't 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4, with all its shiny DLC and ongoing updates, but that doesn't mean the re-release has to feel empty. Madi, kno⛎wn online as "acottonsock," proves as much with her handy collection of 200+ mods for The Sims 2. Revealing her list of downloads in a recent , she breathes a virtuaꦐl sigh of relief – "I did it. I actually did it."
After "scouring the internet for mods from 2006," with "some embedded DEEP in forum posts," Madi has come out with a so-called "mods masterlist" that might just stand as the most thorough collection to date. "My fingers are RAW," she jokes. "BUT IT'S DONE." Her efforts aren't going unnoticed, either, with thousands of bookmar🎉ks and various comments expressing thanks for the list: "You are an essential part of the Sims 2 ecosystem."

The Sims 2 mods included in Madi's roundup range from near-necessary game fixes to silly additions that fit perfectly within the life sim's already whacky atmosphere. Are you looking to overhaul Create-A-Sim? Check the list. Are you hoping to romance Bigfoot? The list has you covered. As a fan myself, browsing the mods honestly feels like entering a ti🌊me machine and reliving The Sims series' wildest era – and I'm so here for it. that it's not guaranteed that every mod will work with t൩he new re-release, but fans are already working on a spreadsheet to test out which ones are.
Madi's mods don't just bring new features or interactions to the table, though. Many of them also address some of the old game's biggest problems with convenient fixes – and as I write in my own 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 2 re-release preview, the recent Legacy Collection is sadly no stranger to the original's issues. From the often-broken attra🌳ction system to wonky animations, the list boasts resolutions for just about everything there is to address.

]]>This new version of The Sims 2 includes compatibility for Windows 10 and 11 and a handful of technical improvements, like out-of-the-box support for widescreen and high resolutions, according to the . But this 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:isn't quite a full remaster, and the day one rollout has left something to be desired fꦅor many fans.
The current for The Sims 2 is sitting at "mixed." A handful of the critiques aren't really relevant - an early version of the Steam p💝age said that the game included the controversial Denuvo DRM, but it actually doesn't - but it's tough to argue with the amoun🙈t of people who are suffering crashes.
Regular crashes seem to be the big problem with this release of The Sims 2, and while some users don't seem to be experiencing any problems at all, it's a common thread in both the negative Steam reviews and other . Crashes also plagu𝓀ed The Sims 2 durꦏing our pre-release time with the new version.
I'm happy that th𒁏e classic Sims games are back on digital stores, but I'm disappointed that these megaliths of PC gaming - again, some of the most popular and influential games ever made - couldn't rate better than a thin upgrade to modern PCs. I've no doubt that the task of getting these games with all their expansions and extra content running reliably is a monumental task for developers, but if anything deserves that level of attention it's The Sims. Here's hoping EA and Maxis are at least able to fix the worst of the crashes - that's a part of 2004 PC gaming I'm not eager to relive.

]]>Hoople borpna to The Sims – it's the series' 25th birthday, and EA is ce♔lebrating big with a re-release of the first two games and all of their DLC on PC. Fans can purchase both The Sims and The Sims 2 as part of The Sims 25th 🅷Birthday Bundle for $40 or opt to buy just one of the two separately from the collection. The re-releases are available on the EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam – but are not currently on console.
The Sims and The Sims 2 are dropping as Legacy Collections with all expansions and packs included. For the first game, this means Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar, Makin’ Magic, and a special kit for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 – the Throwback Fit Kit. Similarly for the sequel, the Legacy Collection boasts all The Sims 2 DLC as well as a Sims 4 goodie thrown in with the Gru🔴nge Revival Kit.
It's certainly exciting, but it's important to note that these are re-releases and not remasters or remakes by any means. I discuss this more in my own 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 2 re-release preview, where I find that while ultimately fun and nostalgic, the Birthday Bundle falls short of some expectations fans might have. It's still very much the same janky 32-bit experience as before, but it's also the only way players without disc copies can (legally) e🐽njoy the series' two most timeless entries.
Need something else to look forward to now? Here are the biggest 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games for 2025 and beyond.
]]>My earliest memory of The Sims 2 sees that same six-year-old girl crowding around her friend's PC alongside other curious children, craving just a few minutes of gameplay. I had to tell my b♑rother and mother about it immediately, and whether it was wise of them or not, they caved and gave me my very own copy of what might just be the most revolutionary entry in EA's beloved series of 25 years. These memories are still dear to me today.
When I was offered the chance to play The Sims 2 again to preview 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:EA's exciting re-release, you can imagine I jumped at the chance. Getting in-game has instantly transported me ba𒀰ck to 2006 – although this time, I havꦉe a much better PC and, perhaps unfortunately, the ability to detect the jankiness six-year-old me didn't care about. Despite all of the bugs and the crashing, though, I'm one happy camper with The Sims 2 back in my library.
What's the worst thing that's ever happened to o𒐪ne of✃ your Sims?
The silly intro. That's what strikes me first about the re-release. It's a minor feature from The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 lacks, yet its impact is anything but small. Hearing that "sul sul" at the start genuinely made my heart flutter. Then the mus🅺ic – oh my god, the music. This really is the same Sims 2 I've loved for so long, for better or worse. Even when I'm not actively in-game, I can still hear Mark Mothersbaugh's banger tunes on repeat.
After embarrassingly jamming out to loading screen music, I find myself finally selecting my neighborhood. I pick Strangetown, of course, because if I'm going to experience The Sims 2 again it's only going to be with all of the wild little things that set the sequel apart – alien abductions, craters, and UFOs included. I scatter a few decorations ar✤ound the map before entering Create-A-Sim, prepared to tackle one of my favorite parts of every Sims game.
I'm blasted back to the early 2000s, an era in which crop tops, mini skirts, and zodiac signs were just so in. The overall customization isn't great compared to The Sims 3 or The Sims 4, but its simplicity is what makes it so great. The choices I do have are enough – I mean, what more could a girl need than some hot pink lipstick, a bright blue bikini, and a disgustingly tight dress adorned with a thin fuzzy scarf that screams Y2K?
I make my household – a small family with two sisters, a cat, and a dog. It's time to find a house ♓they can afford now, and as always, my go-to is Tidy Tudor. No, it doesn't fit well in Strangetown, but yes, I'm going to customize the ever-loving hell out of it to make it work. The Nightingales, my little family, move in and I set out to work on 🍌their ill-fitting home. As I enter the build-and-buy modes, I'm blessed by nostalgia-inducing music once more.
This isn't The Sims 4, so there aren't a billion expansion packs' worth of objects to use while decorating. This is, however, The Sims 2, which means that everything present in-game is more than enough for me. I mean, come on, just look at Teen Style Stuff – that colorful gaming PC and boombox are all I really need. I never feel overwhelmed by choices, but I do wish things were easier to navigate after being🉐 spoiled by more modern entries.
I also wish my Sims had more money, but that's nothing a motherlode or two can't solve. I'm happy to report 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 2 cheats we all know and love are still intact, and you beꦑt I'm going to use them. Suddenly, the Nightingales are 50,000 Simoleons richer – and I can decorate to my heart's content. 𒀰But no cheat code can save me from the real problem The Sims 2 still suffers from decades on: how damn broken it feels sometimes.
"This is the Sims 2 I've൩ adored f♏or almost two decades now"
I try to use the redesign tool, and I crash. I open my game again, and all of my settings are gone and my progress on Tidy Tudor has fallen back to square one. No bother, I'll just redo everything – oh no, I've crashed again. I figure out what inputs seem to trigger the crashing and avoid them, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't all a nuisance. I should be aꦦble to use the tools the game has to offer without worrying about losing saves.
What annoys me the most, however, is that even when I do everything "right" and avoid the supposed triggers, I still crash at random intervals. It's fine, I guess, I tell myself – I'll save every few minutes and crack on. I finally finish the Nightingales' house, saving constantly out of paranoia, and dive into the whacky live mode. This is what I've truly been waiting for, and I absolutely will not allow The Sims 2's ja🔯nkiness to get in the way.
I'm glad I don't, because it's amazing. Awesome, as six-year-old me would🌊 describe it. There's an alien on my lot, rotting newspapers on my lawn, and random Sims dipping in and out of my pool. This is the Sims 2 I've adored for almost two decades now. I search for jobs via the news, employ both my Sims and their pets, and flirt with just about every stranger visiting the revamped Tidy Tudor – weird alien neighbor guy included, oꦗf course.
"I simply can't get enough of it – the chaos, the charm, the downright simulation wilderness that is The 💝Sims 2"
Everything is so ridiculous, and I love it. It's all ten times more difficult than The Sims 4, an entry that has arguably watered down so much of the series' identity. It takes ages to build a relationship with another Sim and every decision matters – every decision, y'all. One of the Nightingale sisters🎃 works in the medical field, and I'm thrilled when I make the right choice that leads to a spontaneous promotion on her first day on the job.
I'm not so thrilled a few days later when I opt for the wrong choice and she's fired. Fired, just like that! It's brutal, but I'm so here for it. The Simsᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ♏ᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ 2 makes decisions feel like they actually matter, just as it does with interactions and relationships. Even though the wants and fears system is less advanced than it is in newer Sims games, it also seems far more impactful. I truly care about my Sims' desires and strive to avoid what sets them back.
I simply can't get enough of it – the chaos, the charm, the downright simulation wilderness that is The Sims 2. Whenever I crash, I immediately boot my game back up and resume playing. I'd recommend any longtime fans of the original give the re-release a go, honestly, despite its performance-related quirks. Newcomers might not enjo🔜y it as much, but that's okay – I'd say this re-release is launching with us hardened Sims 2 veterans in mind anyway.

]]>The has been updated with an image that shows a Sims 1 character with a Sims 2 interaction wheel in the background, as noted by . This comes 🌠as Maxis and EA gear up for what they're calling "Nostalgia Week," which a says will take place between January 27 and January 31.
So what does this teaser image mean? Series fans are certainly hoping that it indicates remastered versions of Sims 1 and Sims 2 are on the way. While both games remain among the most popular and influential titles ever released, neither have been available for purchase for a very long time. Even if you track down the original game discs - or 🐎choose to indulge in piracy - they're both notoriously difficult to get up and running on modern PCs.

Modernized versions of these games that'll actually run on a contemporary desktop PC have been at the top of my own wishlist for years, and I've got my fingers crossed that the wait is coming to an end. ]]>They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but in the case of my unexpected three year hiatus🔜 from Maxis' life sim, it's really allowing me to appreciate how far The Sims 4 ha🍌s come since I've been away.
The Sims has always been such a big part of my life, from the core series to stellar off-shoots like The Sims Medieval and The Urbz. Like so many people in their early 30s, I grew up playing The Sims. I was at just the right age when the first game launched in 2000, and it felt like a dream come true that only got better over time. Bringing in memorable expansions like Hot Date, Vacation, Superstar, and Makin' Magic, it soon became my everythi🦄ng. Fast forward a few years later, and I can still vividly remember when The Sims 2 was first announced, promising a shiny new incarnation that blew my tiny mind.
One of my fondest memories was when I got my hands on the The Sims 2 CD-Rom when it launched in 2004. My heart raced 🦋with excitement as I waited for it to install, studying every inch of the game's box and manual to distract myself from the progress bar on my computer screen. I got just about every expansion going for the second entry over several birthdays and Christmases until The Sims 3 came around. Just like the games before it, the third installment consumed me, with its more open neighborhoods, the introduction of cars, and a myriad of new expansions that always take me back to my late teens and early 20s.
Given my longstanding history with The Sims, you may be questioning why I'd take such a long break from The Sims 4. Well, my PC unfortunately kicked the bucket in 2022, putting a stop to any Simming goodness I could have had until this past Christmas when my dad worked his magic, bringing the machine back to life at long last (thanks, dad). But even before my PC called it quits, my enthusiasm for The Sims 4 had admittedly already st💞arted to ebb.
I picked it up at launch in 2014, and it initially felt very much like it was taking me back to square one in a shiny new co🌊at. I'd gotten accustomed to The Sims 3's more open neighborhoods, and with so many expansions and additions, its predecessor instantly felt more restrictive and bare bones. Back in the day, the base game didn't even have the toddler life stage, but over the course of several updates, I started to enjoy it more and more.
Despite its many improvements over the years, The Sims 4 signaled a big change in my relationship with the series. I used to feel like I was so🐓 embedded in the Sims community – always staying up to date with the latest additions and news, and investing in just about every expansion going for each entry. But gone were the Sims 2 and 3 days where I had more free time and fewer responsibilities, and as life pulled me away, I fell behind on all things Sims 4-shaped. I started to feel like I would never be able to catch up, and when I lost access enti🌳rely, the prospect of stepping back into it was overwhelming to say the least.
But it felt wrong, almost alien, to 🔥be so out of the loop on a series I'd played for most of my life, and when I couldn't play it anymore, it felt like there was a Sims-shaped hole in my life that nothing could really fill in quite the same way. With every expansion, update, and pack that was announced, the FOMO would only build.🦩 I felt like I was an outsider, watching over a series I could no longer be a part of. Out of desperation, I even gave the free console base game a whirl, but just couldn't click with the controls.
So, as soon as my PC was back in action, the first thing I did was download The♔ Sims 4. I'm still very behind in terms of expansions, with Discover University being the last addition I spent money on before life got in the way and my unfortunate PC mishap drew everything to a halt. But it's been a real treat to discover all of the ways the base game has changed in that time. Alongside the suite of new options in create-a-sim, there's also interactions I'd never seen before, with small talk grouping conversation starters like "Get to know", "ask ဣabout career", and "brighten day", while the romantic interactions have been separated out with affection marked out from actions of physical intimacy – a nice touch that feels more mindful of the way people may want to play or develop relationships.
There are lots of little changes like the above that just make the base experiences of The Sims 4 feel more user friendly, wel🔜coming, and better overall. Being away for a long stretch of time has given me a unique perspective on how far it has come in just three years, and while I still have a lot of catching up to do – especially in terms of expansions – it really does feel good to be back. I may not be as involved in the world of The Sims as I used to be way back when, but all of the updates I've missed have made The Sims 4 a game I want to keep on revisiting in the future.

"Home, Events and Store can be foun🐷d at the top, along with the Options panel in the far right."
Here's another nic൩e detail in the revised menu: "The Sims in the center are your last played household Sims, all of them!" Look at them go.
Today's update also brings miscellaneous memory and performance improvements as well as a refresh of the base game homes. Townie Homes in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have been "updated and renovated," but you can still use the "Legacy" versions if you want via My Library. New games using these homes will automatically use the updated versions, and you can update your 🦩existing saves by manually placing the new homes via My Library.
Another update scheduled for February 4, the series' anniversary proper, promises a "huge" batch of content headlined by over 70 new in-game items which will be free to all players. The collection covers hairstyles, clothing, and accessories for a wide range of Sims, from toddlers🃏 to adults, .
February 4 will also kickstart🌞 a limited-time "Blast from the Past" event packing additional items "inspired by iconic items from the 2000s, like a milk carton, telephone, alarm clock, triple-tiered birthday cake, and inflatable chair and loveseat."
Additionally, an interim patch of sorts coming Thursday, January 16 promises three new Kits: "The Secret Sanctuary and Casanova Cave Kits, which ☂will include a mix of Build Buy and Create a Sim items inspired by iconic Sims characters, plus the Comfy Gamer Kit, created in collaboration with lilsimsie!"
]]>The Sims 3 has long stood the test of time now as one of the series' greats, but one problem in particular has plagued its stellar reputation as the creative pinnacle of EA's life sim gems - the game's inability to run properly on newer PC builds. And by newer PC builds, I'm talking about any computers coming from the last seven or eight years. The Sims 3, perhaps most infamously, offers no 64-bit sup🦄port, but things could finally be looking up.
Just today, the EA App version of The Sims 3 received a minor patch. It doesn't do much, but ဣit does address a long-standing issue that prevents players running on builds with more recent Intel processors from playing. The Alder Lake problem, as it's known, stops fans from getting into the game - now, thanks to the patch, users with higher-end Intel CPUs can play. While the update itself is minor, its effect on the community certainly isn't.
😌 so it begins //t.co/nmbLtY4C1V
Longtime Simmers, myself included, are understandably excited by the potential now that an update has dropped after an 🐎entire decade of silence. Could a 64-bit version be in the works? Could better optimization for The Sims 3's stunning open world be underway? As beloved content creator and modder SimMattically writes himself in an online on the patch, "so it 𒆙begins" - or, more realistically, so we all hope that it does.
There's no telling what EA has in store just yet, or if there's anything more coming at all. It&a🔜pos;s surprising that the developers didn't release any official patch notes alongside the new build, which bumps the game to version 1.69.47.024017. While it might boil down to the update simply being too "minor" to warrant any notes, the ever-hopeful fan within me is choosing to look forward to what may never come - other changes and ﷺfixes.
Hopping back into the game after a decade? Here are the best 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 3 cheats for a solid start.
]]>16 years have passed since 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Spore launched in 2008, and legendary Sims designer Will Wright has stayed out of the limelight since. He's making a return soon with a new project, however, and it&a𝔍pos;s an ambitious AI life sim called Proxi. Wright discusses Proxi in a recent stream on , highlighting some of the game and emphasizing what Gallium Studios' mission is: "to create digital human beings that live, care, and grow with us."
The game actually uses players' own real-life memories to shape experiences, allowing for almost unbelievably personal playthroughs. If it sounds like a challenging feat to develop, that's because it is - but Wright feels confident that Proxi's personalized approach to the life sim genre is the correct path to take, and his years of ex♏pertise back as much. "I found myself getting continuously closer and closer to the player," says Wright.
"Kind of a saying I've lived by," he continues, "which is that no game designer has ever gone wrong by overestimating the narcissism of their players." He's not wrong - we live in an era of extensive customization and personalization. There are millions of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 mods that serve as proof, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:hyper-realistic character creators such as rival life sim inZOI's own to boot. Of all the ways to tailor a player's experience, though, using memories might t💯ake the cake.
By using memories, Proxi populates its "mind world" or in-game environment with familiar faces for players to interact with. They represent real people from users' school, work, or any other flavor of memorable circumstance. They're not meant to replace them, however - the project aims to "enhance, not replace human-to-human interactions." Think digital pals, but a lot more advanced than belove𝔍d virtual pets like Tamagotchis or Webkinz.
I'm not sure how I feel about it all myself just yet, as I don't want to become invested and not see it come to fruition in the end as was the case recently with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Life by You. Considering 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:EA's new plan for The Sims 4 and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Project Rene, though, I&a🉐pos;m desperate for something bigger and better than ever before - and Proxi sounds like it could be just that. Now all I need to do is get out, touch grass, and make memories so that come Proxi, I can game-ify them.
Need something to play while you wait for Proxi? Here are 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:10 games like The Sims 4 to check out right now.
]]>The Sims has a near constant presence throughout my life. I've talked in the past about 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:how well The Sims Medieval holds up to this day, and reflected on the benefits and drawbacks of the mainline series' 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:generational format – including how it complicates the future of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 as a澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: legacy product. But with 2008's MySims soon to be landing on Nintendo Switch, I decided to revisit two iconi꧂c Sims 2 handheld reimaginings that I feel deserve to be brought to the modern console next. Sorry in advance to any PSP truthers out there, but the GBA and DS versions are the ones I'm championing today.
I traded in my pearlescent pink DS clas𒆙sic for a swanky Guitar Hero DS Lite back in 2008, and it still lives in my bedside drawer. Sure, the screen calibration is far less reliable, and my ke👍en little jaws have done a number on its stylus in the years since, but I can't bring myself to scrap the neat little handheld for two reasons: Sims 2 DS and Sims 2 GBA.
Having ready access to both versions via the same little machine has its advantages, even if I only pop in to experience them once or twice a year. It's a reminder of the weird and wonderful Sims spin-offs that have captured my imagination and affection in equal measures over the years, not to mention the welcome distractions they proved du🎀ring long plane journeys or when my siblings jostled me off our shared PC as a kid.
The irony is that my little sister is the𒁏 one who had a Game Boy Advance at the time, and despite how much I loved my DS version of The Sims 2, we both found ourselves arguing over the little rectangle cartridge. Eventually my mother gave in and bought me my own (perks of being a middle child), meaning we cou▨ld do a little back and forth trading to give us both a taste of each. Years later it's still hard to pick favorites, but if I had to choose: Sims 2 DS has the best mechanics, story, and mission progression, but Sims 2 GBA is a clear winner for novel concept and worldbuilding.
꧂Having ready access to both versions via the same little machine has its advantages, even if I only pop in to experience them once ♔or twice a year.
Set in the arid dustbowl of Strangetown, The Sims 2 on Nintendo DS forces players to take up the mantle of hotel owner extraordinaire, building it up from a ramshackle ruin to a five-star establishment with themed suites, a casino, and multiple bars and lounges. Oh, and did I mention a top secret lair belonging to a dormant superhero? Constructing all of this requires plenty of Simoleons, earned from hotel guests paying for their stays in full upon a pleasant visit. The likelihood of happy customers increases with the cleanlinꦛess, quality, and environment of the guest rooms and facilities available, so it's a matter of completing side jobs on top of the main quests to build up those coffers. The time-honored money-making tradition of creating and selling paintings is still a staple here, with paintings either sold at the art gallery or used to decorate rooms and suites for a little aesthetic boost.
It's a hotel hustle I would love to see on modern platforms. Condensing the two-screen experience to just the one would probably take a little tinkering, but if MySims can make the jump to the Switch, I don't see why Sims 2 couldn't follow suit. The main snag is that Nintendo's latest does not sport the built-in mic of its double-screened predecessor, putting my dreams of playing the vacuum minigame on the backburner. However, the Switch's touch screen is its saving grace. It's a much wider used mechanism in the game that can be given greater focus in a port. Tapping dust bunnies is just as effective and blowing on them, after all, and making a masterpiece worthy of gallery perfection – a single dot on an otherwise blank canvas, of course – could be as fulfilling on the Switch as it was the DS. Plus, who doesn't want to do shady miss🦩ions for high-baller penthouse guests, even if it means offering gourds to a strange old statue and bringing a mummy back to life? Ah, nosta༒lgia.
Sims 2 DS has the best mechanics, story, and miss♎i🐎on progression, but Sims 2 GBA is a clear winner for novel concept and worldbuilding.
And then we have the ugly duckling of the Sims 2 handheld spin-offs: the Game Boy Advance version. Framed as a reality show, the player must complete a series of mission-based episodes to create drama among the people of Strangetown. Think The Truman Show, only you are the only one who knows tha𒁃t you're in a TV show.
Meddling in the lives of unaware citizens turns out to be a blast, moral quandaries aside, and you even get a sweet, customizable motorbike to jet around the town on. Episodes cover a variety of topics, from a cola craze to missing Sims, and no one is none the wiser that your character is in on producer Daddy Bigbucks' nefarious schemes. As a kid, I loved how both the DS and GBA Sims 2 games share a similar cast of chꦅaracters, from Al Capone-like Frankie Fusilli to Kayleigh Wintercrest and the devious likes of intruder alien Emperor Xizzle.𝄹 There's an implied shared aspect connecting the two games that makes them feel linked somehow, and maybe that's why they both occupy a similar space in my nostalgic memory.
Nintendo Switch has seen a number of old-school games being ported across, but until Sims 2 on DS and GBA makes the jump, it will always feel incomplete to me. It's a shame that younger gamers might not get to experience the zany magic of The Sims' most off-kilter handheld experiences purely because the hardware is scarcer by the year, so if MySims does well, I'm hoping Nintendo is willing to dig deeper into the annals of Sims games 🍒past to deliver some true gems worth uncovering.

]]>To create this deck, you'll need to carry out a series of diff🍒erent tasks. Sometimes a task will be the same for more than one card. By repeating it, you have more chance of getting different cards. Sometimes a task will be a lot more detailed, requiring you to do three separate things before getting a tarot card as a reward. Luckily, we've outlined everything you need to kn🌄ow about building a tarot card deck in The Sims 4 Life and Death below.
Collecting tarots is just one of the wonderfully spooky new tasks in Life and Death, like learning 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:how to write a will in The Sims 4, or finding and unlocking the powers of the Guardian Tree.
To get a basic deck, it’s as simple as heading into Buy Mode and purchasing one. Under the Actꦕivities and Skills tab, you’ll find Bibbity-Basic’s Tarot Deck. Or, simply search for it.
To get the special Lady Ravendancer’s Tarot Deck though, you’ll have to complete a series of tasks, outlined below. You can also buy the tarot deck for 8,000 points in the Rewards Store, 🦂bu🐻t where’s the fun in that?
To begin your collection, you must visit a Tarot Tome, which is a fancy-looking book upon a plinth. These are located in every neighborhood in Ravenwood. Select the Tarot Tome and choose, “What’s This?” This will trigger your tarot card collection and teach you about the 🐭Order of Lenore.
The Order of Lenore is made up of four members; Ekade Aether aka the Widowed Father, Esther Gomes aka the Ghost Host, Zelmira Gomes aka Death Obsessed, and Nyon Specter aka the Grim Enthusiast. The Order of Lenore each have two favors you need to complete, which will allow you to acquire two different tarot cards. It's also important to note that your Sim can only take on two favor൩s at a time.
While the tasks start off fairly simple, the favors for the Order of Lenore are a little more complicated. Below is the list of all 26 tarot cards in The Sims 4 Life and Death and how to collect them:
To view your tarot cards, simply go to your Sim’s inventory. There, click on the diamond in the top right that will take you ♏to your Household Collections. Here, you’ll see all your tarot cards and can summon Grim for the final tarot card.
After you've acquired Lady Ravendancer's tarot deck, you'll be able to interact with an extra option, not available from the basic deck. In the interaction menu, select Meditative Divination to bring up the following abilities as a reward for your hard 𝕴work. Each one of these abilities wilﷺl improve your Sim's mood:
First, make sure your Sim is carrying a tarot deck in their inventory. Then, when selecting a Sim, the option to “Draw Daily Reading” or "꧒Draw Nightly Reading" will appear, depending on the time of day. You can either charge your fellow Sim 30 Simoleons, or do it for free.

]]>While the Grim Reaper has always visited those who have met their demi♔se in The Sims 4, you can now become an apprentice to the reaping trade. Daily tasks for your Sim get harder the further you progress, and there’s ten levels of career progression to work your way up through. Here's everything you need to know about the Reaper career in The Sims 4 Life and Death and how to secure that all-important performance rating.
It's just one of the many dark and afterlifey things you can now do now, like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:write a Will in Life and Death, or uncover the mysteries of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 Guardian Tree.
Like any career in The Sims 4, you join the Reaper career by selecting the Find a Job option on your computer or phone. This will trigger a pop-up enabling you to scroll through and choose the career yoꦆu🥂’re after - for this, it’s Reaper.
If you’re just starting out with a new Sim, some great traits that match with the Reaper career are Genius, Practice Makes Perfect, and for Life and Death, Macabre. Being macabre means your Sim will be less affected whil෴e being around death - and they’ll be arounᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚd a lot of it in this career path.
When you first join as a Grimtern, you’ll be prompted to carry out a list of daily tasks at the Netherworld Department of Death (NWDD), including Practice Reaping, Socialize with Co-Workers, and Perform Scythe Maintenance. And, as an active ca🦄reer in the Sims, you can come along and do them y♒ourself.
On your first day, you’ll also be told to investigate Frank, a test body. Here, you’ll learn what goes into being a Reaper, by looking into the cause of death and determining what happened to him. Then, you get to do what Reapers do best, reap the soul. There’s multiple options for how you do this in the interaction menu, but for the best chance at a successful reaping, choose Collect Soul, or Collect Soul Cꦰarefully.
Each day is more or less the same in the NWDD. You’ll be asked to interact with the Scry Bowl and usually get sent out on a reaping, but you’ll have prep tasks to do before you go, like Research Assignment. It’s up to you whether you do them or not, but it’ll increase your chances of a successful soul co🌞llection, if you do.
After you’ve traveled, you can also complete tasks like File Death Certificate, Analyse Death Trends, and Set Reaping Schedules. Again, you’ll be prompted on what tasks you should complete to get the best performance rating, and a better chance at promotion.
When you go out to reap a soul, you’ll need to complete the following ta🎃🌳sks:
Before Life and Death, you could plea with the Grim Reaper and as a Reaper, Sims can plea with you. You’ll find a Sim with Listen to Plea and you ca൩n then choose whether you want to collect soul or spare their life. The body will be able to be revived, if you choose to spare it. If you don’t, you’ll carry on as usual.
There will also be days where you won’t🦋 be reaping, but instead traveling to clean up an empty lot where souls have escaped through Netherworld Fissures and are floating, aimlessly. Your tasks here🥂 are:
Some days you won’t be sent out to collect souls, rather there will be an emergency as Reaper HQ. For this, you’ll be given differe꧅nt tasks than usual like Closing Netherworld Fissures, Repairing the Netherworld Portal, and Recalibrating Grim’s Slablet.
Meeting your weekly soul quota is also great for performance gain. Y♐ou can check it on a PC, or you’ll receive reminders. If you don’t meet your quota, you’ll suffer a performance loss. If you do meet it, you’ll receive a performance gain, as well as a reward in the mysterious chest located at the top of the stairs in the NWDD.
You'll work towards your soul quota along with your other Reaper colleagues, but essentially you'll get them each day when you're working. If you need a soul quota boost, you can also pay the Mysterious Merchant, known as Waylon Warez, at the Eternal Hollow Cemetery in Crow's Crossing most evenings, or he'll pop up at random festiva꧟ls. Though, coming across him is quite difficult.
There’s ten levels to the Reaper career and while carrying out your daily tasks is important, so is levelling up in the Thanatology, Charisma, and Fitness skills. Charisma and Fitness are standard Sims 4 skills gained by reading books, talking to the mirror, or going for a swim. Thanatology, a skill specific to The Si♒ms 4 Life and Death can all be gained by reading skill tomes, speaking to ghosts, or reading theo♓ries on your computer.
You’ll also have to release a certain amount of souls and at level 6, even write a Reaping Manual. If you’re tired of leveling up or want to get ahead, fast, then there’s cheats to help you in both our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 career cheats and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 skill cheats.
Here’s the ten levels of the Reaper career and what you need to do to get promoted:
As you work your way up the Reaper career, you’ll receive different items. At level 3, it’s a Basic Reaper Uniform. At level 8, it’s the Grim’s Timeless Hourglass. At level 10, you get the Grand Grim Uniform and Grim’s Right Hand.

Much like real-life, a will is a document that will allow your Sim to make decisions about what happens to them, their family, and their stuff when they pass. Whenꦆ you write a will for your Sim, you can dictate how you want your funeral planned, whether you want a tombstone or urn, you can leave a🤪 personal note, and decide where your children and items go, including personal assets and any items you’ve assigned as an heirloom. To assign an heirloom, simply interact with your chosen item and select ‘Make Heirloom’. If you don’t see this option, the item can’t be made into an heirloom.
When you start playing the Life and Death expansion pack, you’ll receive a call from a mysterious stranger who is passing over some Simoleons to you. They’ll also recommend writing your own will, and it’s a good idea to take their advice if you want any control over your legacy. For players who engage with the legacy challenge, the ease of finding what happens to your Sim’s dep𓃲endents as well as their funds is a big deal.
So, you’re ready to dictate what happens to your loved ones and loved things when you’re gone. To lay out the wishes for your estate and family, t🤡here’s a few ways to wriꩵte your will in The Sims 4:
Let's take a look at💙 these options in more detail below.
Find a computer, whether it’s at home, in a public space, or round a friend’s house. Click on the computer and select the Household tab. Frꦦom here, select Start Will and your Sim will get going.
To meet with an inheritance la🅰wyer, you can use your phone to set up 🎀a meeting. Under the Household option, select Hire Services and find the inheritance lawyer.
Alternatively, you can meet with a lawyer during the Ravenwood Family Day in the Crow’s Crossing neighborhood. This happens every Saturday 🦩between 12pm and 8pm, so be ready. Don’t worry if the desk is empty when you get there, a lawyer will arrive shortly.
Finally, you can visit t🐎he Town Hall in Mourningvale to write a will. While the Town Hall isn't a travel location, there are various in the neigh⛦borhood that you can travel to first. Then, find the Town Hall and interact with it. One of the options will be to Write a Will.
Once you’ve written your will, it will appear in your inventory. From there, you can interact with it to make further edits. To do this, click the will and select Update Will. You can also re-read the will at any point if you need🅠 a refresher on what you put in it. If you’re feeling incredibly impulsive, you can even choose to Destroy Will from your inventory and start the process all over again.

]]>It’s not the easiest thing to finish, hence why I've written this guide to lend a helping hand. Put in the effort and you’ll be pleased with the reward. Alice’s Sorrow isn’t just about gaining things for yourself though, but freeing a very sad ghost lost in her afterlife feels. There's a lot of lore on offer, making Life and Death one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Sims 4 expansion packs on offer.🌌 Do Alice and yourself a favor and follow the steps below.
And, while its not that dangerous an undertaking, make sure you 澳洲幸运𝐆5开奖号码历史查询:write a will in Life and Death to be safe. Becoming a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 reaper is cool but it won't help you here.
You’ll need to find that Guardian Tree before you can start the Alice’s Sorrow Quest. With such a large presence, it shouldn’t be too hard to locate, if you’re in the right place - head to the Mourningvale neighborhood of Ravenwood by selecting the Eternal Haunt nightclub in your travel menu. Once there, you’ll need to head north east to find the Guardian Tree. Keep your eyes peeled for a large tree drippin🌌g with blue and green luminescence..
You’ll come across the ghost of Alice, sad and blue, floating around the area surrounding the Guardian Tree. She will never stray far, so you should find her quite easily. Interact with her and Ask about Alice’s Sorrow, accompanied by a black Guardian Tree icon. This will begin the quest.
Once you’ve triggered the quest, the tasks you’re required to complete will show up in the Career tab. The same🌺 black tree🌜 icon that appeared next to Ask about Alice’s Sorrow will appear next to any interaction that is on the quest path, so keep an eye out for it.
Alice will explain that her sadness stems from not knowing what happened to her children after her demise and that she wonders if their unfortunate ends are also her fault. She wants you to find all four of her children to ease her woes and bring back your findings.
You’ll first be instructed to find her child, Deimos. Thankfully, locating him is pretty simple. Find any crypt around Ravenwood and select Explore the Underground Crypt. You’ll trigger a couple of pop-ups that will ༒detail Deimos’ story for you. Fortunately, you'll leave the crypt unhurt and un...haunted.
Next up, you need to find Freddy who now lives as a Specter. You’ll be informed that Freddy can be located by the playground in the center of the Crow’s Crossing neighborhood in Ravenwood. While there’s a few floating blue specters in the playground, only one, with a mustache and bowtie, is Freddy. You’ll be able to Ask about Alice’s Sorrow which he’ll then grant you a rep🗹l꧋y.
Next is finding Ann. Alice will have told you she remembers Ann to be surrounded by fields and water. You’ll be told to search for Ann’s gravestone on a small island in the river running through the Whispering Glen neighborhood of Ravenwood. Find the river and follow it until you come across a quite obvious sole gravestone on the top of an island. Selec𒁏t the Read Epitaph option to find out what happened to Ann and how she feels about her mother.
Finally, the trickiest of the children to find is Edith. You’ll be prompted to visit the Well of Longing and Regret in the Crow’s Crossing neighborhood. You’ve been here to find Freddy, so use his location as a startin🐻g point. Move north until you reach an enormous mansion. From there, head east until you come across a glowing green well that stands in a circle 🐟of woodland.
Edith will be floating around the Well area. She’s red, symbolizing that she's very angry. So, while she may at first refuse to speak to you, try selecting Attempt to Communicate until you get a response. Yes, she may reject you time and time again and you may have to return later, but eventually you'll get through to her. And don’t do what we did and make a wish in the Well of Longing and Regret for the Courage to Face Edith - it only backfired.
After locating all four of Alice’s children, she wants you to return to the Guardian Tree and report your findings. Fortunately, Alice is incredibly grateful and wholly relieved, lifting the blue sadness from her ghostly aura. With her mood lifted, 🌱she happily grants you valuable access to the Guardian Tree.
The Guardian Tree now becomes an incredibly special and lucrative place for your Sim. Most fruitfully, you’ll now be able to Refill Needs at the Guardian Tree, restoring your Sim to optimum stats. You’ll also be able to Scavenge in the Guardian Tree with varying results, but an opportunity to find collectibles. Plus, if y☂ou’ve triggered your Tarot card collection, you’ll be able to Use Intui🍬tion on the Guardian Tree for the Justice and The Star cards.

]]>Originally set to launch into Early Access later this year, producer and director Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim explains in a recent message that inZOI's release has now been delayed to March 28, 2025. He discusses the game's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:character creator demo and how player feedback has helped sha🦹pe development following fans' 🐈hands-on time with inZOI, and how it has also influenced Krafton's decision to delay Early Access.
"Your response and feedback made us realize the responsibility we have to provide players with the most compl♒ete experience possible," says Kjun. "This message is about that realization. After reviewing your feedback from inZOI: Character Studio and analyzing a wealth of data from our various play tests, we have made our decision to release inZOI in Early Access on March 28, 2025."
Kjun apologizes "that we could not bring you the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZOI the best possible start." He compares development to "raising a human child," as both call for "extra love and care." That's how Krafton sees inZOI's journey: "A game that we will be nurturing together from its Early Access birth." The studio wants to give the game "a stronger founꦕdation," hence the delay.
"It is said that among primates, raising a human child to adulthood takes the longest time because humans must be prepared to endure and adapt to their ever-changing surroundings," Kjun writes. "The extra love and care that is required to properly nurture a child is how I see our journey with inZOI – a game that we will be nurturing together from its Early Access🐽 birth." Getting a little existential here.
I can't lie, after the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Life by You debacle and the seemingly never-ending wait for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Paralives, I'm a bit worried. As a longtime Sims stan, however, I'll keep holding out hope for a viable competitor with a proper launch. Kjun&apo༒s;s words are reassuring at least, as he sa﷽ys Krafton is "striving to create a game that truly captures the essence of life simulation" and states that the "goal is to deliver an experience fans can enjoy for years to come."
While you wait for inZOI, here are 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:10 games like The Sims 4 to check out right now.
]]>It's been a few days now since 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4 Life and Death released, and fans have spent that time learning the ins and outs of the spooktacular new expansion pack - as well as finding all of its secrets. One such secret is a sneaky Baldur's Gate 3 reference highlighting none other than Astarion, Larian Studios' RPG's beloved vampire companion, and it can be foun🎀d in the Build and Buy Mode on the "Sun and Stars Headstone" object.
There’s no waꦓy The Sims 4 referenced BG3 in this I love it 🖤😭#TheSims4 #sims4lifeanddeath #BaldursGate3 #TheSims #Astarion pic.twitter.com/TcUm8AWFHp
"A grave that marks the end of an era and the beginning of another much more hopeful o🌄ne," the gravestone's description reads. "Perhaps this is the perfect gravestone to commemorate a cheeky little Sim who faced the trials of life's shadowy depths, all the while craving the sun. Though, perhaps not the full, concentrated power of the sun after so many years sꦚpent out of it. Just a little bit of sun, as a treat, darling!"
It's a clever little ode to Astarion, written about him and then partially in his own distinctive voice. As a lover of botꦑh games, I'm obsessed - but it's apparently not the only Baldur's Gate 3 reference to arrive with Life and Death. A🥃s producer Molly 'SimGuruNova' Narkis writes in a to a fans' pointing the headstone out, she was behind the Easter egg - and has another up her sleeve somewhere else, too.
that was me! hehe I'm glad someone found it 🙂 I also have another small one buried in there somewhe🐻re
"That was me," says the developer. "I'm glad someone found it. I also have another small one buried in there somewhere." There's no telling where this mysterious other reference is, or if it also has to do with the most bloodthirsty of all the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Baldur's Gate 3 romances, but I certainly hope it does. I&ap🐻os;ll be keeping ♕my eyes peeled every time I'm in Build and Buy Mode from here on out for any sign of Larian Studios' RPG or its snarky pale elf.

Hard to imagine where the Sims 4 developers went to college, but it seems to have been relatively free of fꦦrat boy hazing deaths. Sending your Sim to college is a serious undertaking, but it will throw plenty of new gameplay mechanics at you as a reward. First, you'll need to decide if they want to attend the University of Britechester𒈔 or the more modern Foxbury Institute, apply, take out a loan, and then decide where to live.
Once you're in, it's a mad rush of classes like robotics and villainy, trying to make your dorm room feel like home, and... joining a college cult by leavi🐬ng cupcakes in front of a statue. It's intense to juggle all the requirements and keep your sim happy at col🍷lege, but you can't put a price on a good education. (Though this expansion costs $39.99.)

Get Famous is one of the best Sims expansions because it not only captures the cutthroat Kardashian hunger for notoriety, but it🐻's one of those additions that affect everything your Sim does. Gotta pee? Post on social media while you're in the bathroom. Need to be social? Stalk a celebrity at the local bar in the new loc🌌ation, Del Sol Valley. Need some simoleons? Start a new career as an influencer or a live streamer.
Taking your Sim to set as an actor is a fun way to get paid and get famous, and you'll unlock perks (and more negative quirks) by clawing yo🎃ur way from the Z-list to the A-list. Also, this expansion introduces the solid-gold toilet option, which is reason enough to buy it. However, the reason we can't rank it higher is that Del Sol Valley is lacking lots, making it one of the smaller new worlds in the game.

Do we really need to explain why Cats & Dogs is one of the best Sims expansion packs? You can have cats and dogs. That's it, that's the reasoning. The Sims 4 goes above and beyond with this pets pack, offering you a chance to Create a Pet, choosing from a variety of dog and cat breeds and customizing them as much as you'd like. Oh, and you👍 can put them in adorable outfits as if this wasn't already overwhelmingly cute.
Sims can build long-lasting bonds with their pets based on their daily interaction, and each pet has a unique personality. I currently have a dog that is worryingly obsessed with my refrigeratoꦅr, for instance. You can also become a vet and run a clinic in Cats & Dogs, helping the sickly animals from Brindleton Bay feel better. This pack is amazing and a must-have for animal lovers.

Eco Lifestyle is an expansion pack that tasks you with paying attention to ho💎w your Sims are living, which adds a really interesting layer to gameplay. How much electricity does your Sim use, and how economically conscious is that long, contemplative shower they take every day? Eco Lifestyle introduces an Eco Footprint mechanic to all the Sims 4 worlds, where gameplay choices affect the state of the world - like adding smog to more pollution-ridden places, or beautiful clear water to those areas that are more eco-conscious.
There's a new Neighborhood Action Plan feature, which helps your neighborhoods feel more intertwined, as the town can vote on things like Eco-Friendly Appliances, which offers e🔜xtra Handiness skill and Influence for fixing appliances or upgrading them to more gre𒉰en ones. Of course, there are also Neighborhood Action Plans like We Wear Bags, which means your fellow townsfolk will wander around with brown paper bags on their heads…The Sims 4 loves some absurdity, that's for sure.

OK, hear us out; yes, this expansion is the newest addition to our list, but it is also one of the best expansions that we've played for The Sims 4. Not only does it bring a ton of features that fans have long wanted to the game (looking at you Grim Reaper career), but it's also an expansion made for every t𒊎ype of Sims player. Whether you want gritty realism with the new funeral events and family fights over will readings or love fantastical occults such as ghosts who🌃 can now choose to live on as a specter in your household, there's something for everyone here.
You can become a mortician, build crypts, have a pet crow, and live out your gothic fantasies. And, of course, as we mentioned above, the most exciting new feature is that there'𒉰s a new grim reaper career for your Sims to partake in. In terms of Build Buy mode, the items are stunning and are the perfect companion to players who already own the Vampires game pack as well. In short, this is one ✤of the most expansive and stylish expansions around, so it's well worth your attention.

Finally your Sim can celebrate Christmas - or Winterfest - and a bunch of other seasonal holidays. This is one of the best Sims expansions for adding variety to your Sim's life cycle, with regular events and ever-changing weather that can make your sim happier - or, if you're not careful, frozen to death in an evening gown because you got distracted making snow angels at a pa🌳rty.
Between decorating the house for different holidays, flirting with Father Winter, trying out a new gardening career, and picking out your winter outfit, this is one expansion that will keep you busy. This expansion pack also makes every other expansion pack on our list richer. Most new expansion packs come with new events that you can add to the holiday cale💛ndar introduced in Seasons. And the weather changes add a sense of realism to your game like never before.

Despite the base game for The Sims 4 being technically f✱ree, it's pretty expensive to be a Sims fan. If you buy all the expansion 𓄧packs, game packs, stuff packs, and Sims 4 kits, you'll have to buy roughly 82 DLCs, and unsurprisingly, that totals up to a lot of money.
There are 18 expansion packs ($39.99/£34.9ౠ9), 12 game packs ($19.99/£17.99), 20 stuff packs ($9.99/£8.99) and 40 kits ($4.99/ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ£4.99). Below, we've worked out the grand total of all the DLCs for you.
That's right, you'll be paying £1,225.10 /$1,354.10 if you want everything.
Now, spending over $1000 on purely DLC does seem wild. However, it should be noted that The Sims packs regularly go on sale and get bundled into disc🌺ounts periodically throughout the year. So, if you keep an eye out on the EA store page or Steam, you can pay less if you only pick up discounted packs. But keep in mind, e🌟ven with discounts, you'll still be spending over $500/£500 here.
And, considering that EA has now stated that we won't be 💞getting a traditional replacement with The Sims 5 and that they'll be continuing to add more expansions to The Sims 4, you can also expect the above price tag to increase in the future as well.

]]>I don't mean to be flippant. Anyone who's seen the extended gameplay trailer knows that it's hard to look at Life & Death alongside Horse Ranch and see the same value being added. Sure, there's cool goth stuff in Ravenwood – a town modelled on Romanian architecture – but there's a lot more to the expansion pack than lace and black candles. Extending the lives of Sims beyond the mortal coil and adjusting how they approach and grieve death feels both subtle and profound, promising substantial changes to an everyday playthrough that will feel useful rather than cosmetic. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:base game update adds ghosts to Create-A-Sim for those who favor the occult, but behind its eerie supernatural aesthetics,🧜 Life & Death shows a far more serious side to The Sims than we've seen in years – and it's officially restored my faith in the franchise.
It's hardly a coincidence that the first Sims 4 expansion to launch following 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the demise of Sims 5 is𒆙 all about death. Coaching our Sims – and ourselves, by default – through the process of grief, the potential of an afterlife, and the memories we will keep forever… L🉐isted out like that, EA's role in handling its playerbase's mourning might sound a little on the nose.
To me, Sims 4: Life & Death speaks to the publisher's dedication to finding new ways of evolving the game in perpetuity as it becomes an ongoing legacy project. This pack proves that with the right balance of familiarity and novelty, it's possible to get fans interested in a ten-year old game again. It also꧒ shows EA's respect for the people it hopes to still be playing the game a decade on from now. I was certainly on the fence when the news initially broke, but perhaps this is all the encouragement I needed to get me fully on-board for ten more years of Sims 4.
The existence of a pack like Life & Death is already a huge step toward the game's maturity. The Sims 4 has never taken itself too seriously, and that's always been something of a double-edged sword. Its infamy as the most troubled iteration of EA's life sim is known far and wide, making the odd goofy glitch more funny than frustrating. It should be more concerning that players have laughed off even the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:worst Sims 4 bugs with little more than an eye roll for the last ten years and counting, but the off-kilter, zany humour of The Sims 4 has always afforded it some degree of forgiveness. But I sincerely hope Life & Death enters our hands at least relatively bug-free, be🍌cause its importance💧 to the grand scheme of things is no joking matter.
Life and Death feels like a promise from EA that it intends to hold♋ o🍌ur hand throughout the coming journey, no matter what lies ahead.
The upcoming expansion presents a unique opportunity for reinvention, let alone reincarnation. It's EA's chance to show fans that it wants to fix its bad reputation, and there's no better way to do that than with a clean, bug-free launch. A key reason why me and many other Sims fans were hesitant about the prospect of Sims 4 as an ongoing central project with no future generations planned is because faith in EA has waned over the years. How can I sign up for another decade of trivial game packs that have no overarching purpose, pertaining to interests so niche that they have little longevity outside of the core functions offered? I mean, has anyone played in Strangerville since solving the myster🍷y that one time? Perhaps, but I have always been more fond of packs that enrich the overall experience. Seasons is the best example of an expansion pack that feels pretty much a staple, adding so much world-building and reali🌌sm to an otherwise bland shell of a game. It's all happening in the background, barely acknowledged from session to session, but I know my Sims games would be noticeably different without it.
In that sense, I see Life & Death as having the potential to be another Sims 4: Seaℱsons. Death is merely a fact of life, and a life sim seeks to emulate that cycle – whether naturally as a human's lifespan ticks across, or supernaturally if your vampire Sim decides to go sunbathing. An expansion pack that directly addresses such a delicate yet intrinsic part of simply being alive is a genius move from EA right now, not only making a powerful comment on our own human conditio🉐n, but telling players that it acknowledges room for growth as it forges the series' future. Much as our Sims learn to embrace all parts of their existence, Life and Death feels like a promise from EA that it intends to hold our hand throughout the coming journey, no matter what lies ahead. Here's hoping that promise is kept.
Ready to move on? These 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:games like The Sims will have you covered.
]]>It also offers a throwback to the series' quirkier past - even the title itself is reminiscent of the iconic Tombstone of Life and Death from The Sims 2, a coincidence that production director Dave Miotke describes to me as a "happy accident." There are plenty of intentionally placed references to look out for, too, and the overall 🍃vibe that the expansion carries is just generally akin to some of the past titles' own beloved, bizarre energies.
Whether you're hoping for a more macabre Sims 4 experience or are simply searching for a pack with enough content to justify its $40 price tag, I'd argue that Life and Death is perfect for you - in fact, I'd say it's the most worthy expansion to come from EA yet. I'm so content with the amount of features included in this DLC, that I genuinely don't think I'll be using many gameplay-related 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 mods from here on out.
It's true - Life and Death leaves little need for mods to spice things up, transporting me to my past when I'd obsessively play The Sims 2ღ and 3 without ever even considering any external downloads. The packs and base games were enough to keep me satisfied for hours on end, but The Sims 4 has been a different story. Up until now, anyway. I've always felt that the series lost some of its charm in 4,🌠 as it lacked the weird flair of its predecessors.
Life and Death is all about ♍embracing that odd energy that for so long defined The Sims, and I'm so here for it. It doesn't shy away from the taboo or the wild deaths synonymous with the series, brౠinging everything from bucket lists to murderous ravens. As Miotke tells me, fans can also expect "to find plenty of Sims 2 lore in this pack." There's a certain sprinkle of realism to the expansion, too – the very sprinkle seen in the series' past titles.
That's what I've always loved about The Sims – its ability to strike a balance between the strange and the real, something Life and Death does well. Miotke desꩲcribes it best:: "It's not just about ghosts and death, but it's also kind of dealing with death and some of those more realistic life elements." For every spook꧂y bit, there's something serious like the new funeral, grief, or will systems.
There are even "rainbow bridge" references for dead pets – an inclusion that personally makes me tear up a bit. I recently lost my childhood dog of over 14 years, but I haven't yet had the strength to let him properly age up and pass on in-game on my real-world-inspirღed save. Now, I just might. That crossover between reality and virtuality is what has always set The Sims apart from other games, and Life and Death reflects it more than any other pack to date.
Grim can be a boss, a friend, a foe, and even a fathe🌞r – yes, a father.
The most notable highlight of the pack for me, however, is a character long known by all Sims stans: the Grim Reaper himself. Before Life and Death, he wasn't all that interesting in The Sims 4. He would appear sporadically upon a Sim's untimely death꧂, and while I always tried to have my Si🦩ms rizz him up, it never quite worked as he was as much a Townie as an NPC could be. He's so much more now thanks to EA's latest expansion, though.
Grim can be a boss, a friend, a foe, and even a father – yes, a father. Sims can 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:try for a baby with him and their children will then come with a special "Grimborn" trait that marks them as his kids. Alongside the trait is a scythe-shaped birthmark indicating their otherworldly lin💫eage, a marker that can carry over for a few generations. Grim sadly isn't all that involved as a father, though – he "isn't the most attentive," admits Miotke.
"Grim's kind of a turtle," the dev explains. "Maybe like Zeus in Greek mythology – he has a lot of kids." There's no telling whether Grim "has favorites" among his children, either, as he doesn't spend much time with the♓m. He's busy running a soul-harvesting business with Sims helping him out in the pack's 🌟new Reaper-themed career, after all, he's still as elusive as ever. "Grim's a mysterious character," says Miotke. "It's really hard to know what Grim's thinking."
That's becauꦏse, despite the extra depth he packs in Life and Death, Grim is still an unplayable character – but I can, er, live with that. As producer Morgan Henry tells me, he's still a "unique character," albeit one with "a lot of fun, new interactions." You can challenge him to basketball matches, hopscotch competitions, and more to save a Sim's life. Be wary of doing so, though,♉ as Miotke jokes that Grim doesn't always play fair.
If you want a famous werewolf spellcaster ghost, you♑🍒 can have one.
Enough about death, and more about ghosts. How do they work in Life and Death, and in what ways are they different than they used to be? They feel much more alive, despite being dead, and they can work to wrap up any unfinished business from their former lives. You can opt to have Sims reborn through 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the miracle of reincarnation aftꦡerward or keep them trucking on as ghosts through the game's brand-new skill tree.
It's much like that of the other occult Sims, with powers and branches that you unlock over time through good or bad deeds. How does it line up with the other occults – can mermaids, vampires, and werewolves become ghosts? Yes, Miotke confirms: "While ghosts have a full power tree, it does not stop or impede you from your other occult power trees as well, so you can have a vampire with full powers and also have coไrresponding ghost powers."
Miotke alludes to all sorts of "fun combinations and stories that you can tell when you pair these [powers] up." If you want a famous werewolf spellcaster ghost, you can have one. Life and Death coexists nicely with other packs this way, and it's one of my favorite aspects of the new expansion. I prefer everything in-game to mesh together seamlessly and with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:EA's new plan for The Sims 4 to be its go-to "legacy" game, it's all the more 🅠appreciated wh💜en it does.
All in all, I'm incredibly excited for everyone to get their hands on Life and Death. It marks the beginning of something new for The Sims 4 as the first of its expansion packs to come after the company's announcement regarding no Sims 5 and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:paid community-created mods, and it couldn't be a better start than it already is. ▨There's plenty to make it stand out as an expansion pack, a plethora of long-awaited features, and one much-needed glow-up for Grim.

]]>EA's new 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:life-and-death-themed expansion (aka one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Sims 4 expansion packs released yet) is one of the most game-changing packs to come to The Sims 4 yet, featuring everything from a haunting 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:spectral world to the ability to have babies with the Grim Reaper. For any fans worried about the latter addition and hꦬow Grim's genetics will co🐠me into play with any of his offspring, no need - the game's recent patch ensures that he'll pass on only the nicest of genes, with some very good looks and all.
No longer does the ever-mysterious Grim have wide goldꦕfish-esque eyes, nor does he lack any lips - instead, he's a handsome young man with great eyebrows and a mouth our Sims won't be able to resist. The term "kiss of death" has never felt more fitting, and I personally can't wait to see how the game's genetics system blends my Sims' genes with Grim's own new revamped DNA - and I'm not alone, according to a highlighting his makeover.
Look who has gotten a brand new m🌸akeover!Grim Reaper's appearance before vs after the recent sims 4 update(this change only affects Grim in new saves) pic.twitter.com/1d3EbvJGgN
Comments express what most Simmers are probably thinking, with one calling the new and improved Grim "Zaddyish." Another fan jokes that "Grim is about to be in competition with Father Winter for most babies" had with players🔜' Sims. Elsewhere, someone replies to the before and after screenshots saying that "they yassified Grim" - an accurate dedu🍸ction if you ask me, and of a glow-up that I'm very much here for at that.
The updaꦰte is bigger than just Grim, if you can look past his dreamy eyes to the official . Playable ghosts are finally here and fans can make them via Create-a-Sim, base game content for graves and funerals has arrived, and various death-related mechanics are now available in-game. It's the biggest patch that the community has seen in a while, so if you'll excuse me, I have some serious Simming to do now.
]]>EA's upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:life-and-death-themed expansion for The Sims 4 packs quite a punch of new content from the long-awaited Grim Reaper career to a spooky 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:spectral world, with a recent gameplay trailer providing a more in-depth൩ look at the expansion's features in action. As narrator Grim reveals in the video, Sims will be able to act as morticians or even "Grimterns" - apprentices under the Reaper who help him harvest souls as a job.
Thꦿat's not all, though - alongside these dark new careers come a variety of new traits to give Sims. Grim mentions "Chaseꦬd by Death" and "Macabre," for instance, both of which sound perfectly suited for the Halloween season. Sims will also have access to their own "Bucket Lists," sets of personalized goals to reach before death. If they don't, they can roam among live Sims as ghosts with "Unfinished Business" until they check them all off.
The reward for fulfilling Bucket List goals or wrapping up Unfinished Business is the option to be reborn through the game&ap🌜os;s new "Rebirth" system - one of the wildest features I've seen as a longtime fan myself in The Sims series yet. During Rebirth, players can pick any Sim household𒉰 available in any world for their recently departed to be born into. The dead Sims are customizable when they return, and can make a comeback as a Sim in any life stage.
If Sims choose to remain ghosts, they won't be missing out on tooᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ much - in fact, Life and Death adds an entirely new ghost-themed mastery tree with supernatural powers akin to the older Vampire pack's own. Ghosts can be either good or bad, earning essences that can be sold for Simoleons. Funerals and grieving rituals wi𝓰ll also be fully fleshed out, with custom caskets to choose from and gravesites that players can freely decorate.
It's a lot, and I'm not the only Simmer who absolutely cannot wait to play. Fans commenting on the new trailer call it "an expansion pack that actually feels like an expansion" and "the FIRST expansion pack that feels like an expansion." Some players state that they're "shook" after watching, and I agree - especially upon seeing that I'll fina🦂lly be able to have babies with Grim.
]]>Speaking in a recent interview with , chief creative officer Henrik Fåhraeus and deputy CEO Mattias Lilja discuss how sometimes "you go on too far and hope that you fix it, or steer it in another direction than we thought originally." According to the publishing leads, Life By You is an example of both scenarios - there was simply too much wrong with the potential 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sims 4 competitor to fix it.
"We trusted the devs quite a lot," describes Lilja. "We thought maybe another extension will get us where we're go🦹ing and then finally realized everything will be wo🅺rse if we keep going, so we have to stop." As noted by Fåhraeus, "A lot of the flaws were super clear and we saw the flaws individually." There just wasn't enough time to address them in the end, however - especially after so much had already been spent on mending the game's issues.
"W🍬e got closer and closer to early access," the CCO continues, "trying to focus on fixing each individual problem." Eventually, Paradox realized that "it's too late, we've not been seeing the forest here." The te🌱am couldn't find a "single thing here that can actually compete viably in terms of gameplay. While early access can indeed be "very" useful, "you have to have something that is super tight already" - and Life By You, sadly, just wasn't.
While there's no Life By You, here are 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:10 games like The Sims 4 to check out instead.
]]>With all of its flashy visuals and recent 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:character creator demo, it's no wonder that inZOI has blown sim fans away already - after all, there hasn't been a decent competitor to EA's iconic Sims series in a hot minute. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Life by You cancellation and the ongoing lengthy wait for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Paralives speaks to this. Every time a promising Sims-like project pops up🐼, it either fails or remains in development for what feels like forever.
With inZOI, though, this doesn't seem to be the case - and considering director Hyungjun Kim's motivation behind its production, that's not all that surprising. As revealed by the dev in an interview with , Kim was ready to move on from M🃏MOs to challenging EA with a sꦐim of his own. "I have 24 years of game development under my belt and I've been working on MMORPGs for the longest time."
According to the mastermind behind online Korean hits like Aion and Elyon, he simply "got sick of it" - over two decღades of MMOs will do that to you, I imagine. One fateful day during which his son asked him a simple question changed everything, however, injecting his mind with two thoughts: Why has there never been a successful Sims competitor to rival EA's beloved series of more than 20 years, and could he try his hand at🎀 making one?
That's where inZOI comes in - the potential Sims challenger with groundbreaking visuals, immersive gameplay, and features never seen in games of the genre before like a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"3D print" mechanic that allows players to turn real-life photos into in-game items. As a longtime Sims stan myself, I can't wait to see how inZOI's release goes later this year. I've clocked a good few hours into the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:character creator and am champing at the bit for more.
While you wait for inZOI, here are 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:10 games like The Sims 4 to check out right now.
]]>EA has yet to reveal the full first trailer for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Sims 4's upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Life and Death expansion pack, but that doesn't mean that teasers ar🌟e off the table – and boy, are some of them packing.
One recent post in particular from unveils the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:life-and-death-themed expansion and a chunk of what's to come – including the pack&🌺apos;s brand-new world and what could be the next career. "There's a whole new spectral world to haunt," the studio's teaser reads. "Get closer to the Grim Reaper with testaments to write, crypts to explore, and spectral skills to master." It's too early to tell for sure, but it seems to imply a Reaper-aligned job for Sims.
It doesn't sound like Sims will take over Grim's role entirely, though – it feels more akin to an apprenticeship as Sims grow "closer" to the Reaper himself while writing testaments and completing other Death-aligned tasks. As a longtime Simmer myself, I'd be lying if I said that the "cry🌸pts" part of the post didn't concern me – after all, the game arguably already features its fair share of so-called "rabbit holes" for Sims to do activities in.
I hope crypts are more than mere rabbit holes, though – especially with the "spectral skills" mentioned in EA Italia's teaser. As the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Paranormal Stuff Pack already adds the Medium skill to The Sims 4, I wonder what other spooktacular new aꦐbilities are arriving when Life and Death drops on Halloween. I'm not the only one, either – a thread discussing the post showcases fans' theories about the mysterious expansion.
"Tarot card reading," suggests💖 one player. Another speculates on the possibility of ghosts becoming more fleshed out in Life and Death: "Sounds like it's turning ghosts into something like spellcasters or vampires." Elsewhere, someone echoes this thought, saying they "really hope ghosts become a proper occult." There's no telling what to expect just yet, but it's fun to ponder the possibilities – 🍸and I for one can't wait to get "closer" to Grim.
