For sci-fi fans of a cert🎉ain vintage, like me, Land of the Lost and its reruns in the '80s constituted one of the first live-action fantasy adventure shows we ever watched. And even with the middling returns of the '90s reboot and the disastrous Will Ferrell film, the show holds a special place in pop culture for that reason.

Sometimes, those have paid off – season 2's 'Those Old Scientists' was a winning crossover with the Lower Decks animated series, while others haven't quite landed. Hooray then for Strange New Worlds season 3, which feels like the show's most assured and cohesive run of episodes to date. These first five𝐆𓆏 episodes (of 10, all supplied to us on a spoiler-free review basis) manage to more successfully integrate the show's wilder impulses with its various ongoing plot threads. The ideas are bigger and punchier, the character work more considered.

Into darkness...

The season naturally opens with 'Hegemony, Part II' – the conclusion to season 2's climactic tussle with the Gorn. That episode had a tough, dangerous tone which carries over here. Indeed, it's a remarkably tense start to the season and a conscious throwback to the Next Generation and Deep Space Nine days, when a much-hyped new run of eಌpisodes would start with an episode that was absolutely impenetrable to anyone who hadn't seen the previous instalment.

That's no bad thing, however. A big 'ol cliffhanger is a beloved Trek staple, and the payoff here was worth the wait. It's also true that while Strange New Worlds l⛎oves to get silly, it's often at its best when telling slightly grittier stories. Logically (and try not to read that in Spock's voice), we know that most of these people will be fine – th🌃e majority of the main cast here are Original Series characters, after all – but the show wrings a lot of tension out of us not knowing the fates of several crucial members of the bridge crew.

The third episode, 'Shuttle to Kenfori', continues this more serious tone as it pairs up Pike and Babs Olusanmokun's emotionally conflicted Doctor M'Benga for an away mission gone wrong. This is another h🐭igh-concept episode of sorts, one that effectively melds Star Trek with a familiar horror sub-genre to great effect.

It isn't all darkness and trauma, 🎶however. Episode 2, 'Wedding Bell Blues' introduces Rhys Derby as... well, we can't get into that here, except to say that it's a very fun performance. The episode spins the focus back on Spock and Christine Chapel's relationship in a way that's both amusing and tinged with melancholy.

Episode 4, 'A Space Adventure Hour,' meanwhile, borrows a popular Next Generation episode format, but uses it to make a bunch of metatextual gags. Not in itself a bad thing, but given that Strange New World's great strength has always been its accessibility, I did find myself wondering during the gaudy, fan-teasing cold open what exactlyꦕ a new viewer would make of this show.

Still boldly going

Episode five, 'Through the Lens of Time', is the best episode of this first batch, and one that is perhaps hinting towards future plans for the show. Playfully pinching from Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's a tense tale of an away team investigating an ancient alien civilization and biting off more than they can chew. This episode in parti🌜cular leans into the growing relationships (of all kinds, not just romantic) between the characters. Strange New Worlds has always benefited from the charisma of its cast, but this time around, it really feels as if everyone has locked into place in a really satisfying 🔴way.

Regarding competition from other big shows, Andor steamed ahead against Grey’s Anatomy and Criminal Minds, and even left The Last of Us in the dust. The latter’s struggle doesn’t come as a surprise, considering that the HBO series battled with ratings this season after killing off Joel (Pedro Pascal), which was a disappointing shock for those who still didn’t know what would happen. Its finale was also hit🐠 with a 55% fall in viewers compared to season 1, pro🐎ving just what kind of damage a golf club can do if placed iඣn the wrong hands.

The question now is how the numbers will compare when Disney returns with their next Star Wars television chapter, given the booming success of Andor. And, after less than a year-and-a-half in the role, Ncuti Gatwa’s tenure feels like it’s ended too soon. Eighteen-and-a-bit episode𓃲s were barely enough to scrape the surface of this extremely likeable Time Lord. He never even got tꦓo face off against a Dalek, a Cyberman or the Master.

Even so, the 15th Doctor’s regeneration in “The Reality War”, Saturday’s Doctor Who season 2 finale, was the most exciting I can remember. Not only did Gatwa’s departure stay (more or less) under wraps until he started radiating that familiar regeneration glow. We also had no idea what – or more accurately who – was coming next. It’s a scenario I’ve longed for as long as I’ve beꦓen watching the show.

The trouble with regeneration, Peter Davison’s Fifth Doctor once pointed out, is that “You never quite know what you’🧔re going to get.” Alas, as viewers we’ve rarely been able to share that state of blissful🐟 ignorance.

Joy division

Historically, the identity of the next Doctor has been revealed long before the previous incumbent has handed in the keys to the TARDIS. Peter Capaldi’s arrival was such a big deal that the announcement was granted 🏅a live, one-off TV show on BBC One. The 12th Doctor even had a brief cameo in 50th anniversary special “The Day Of The Doctor”, a whole month before Matt Smith made his long-anticipated departure on Christmas Day.

Because we usually know what’s coming, regenerations tend to be a question of “how?” r❀ather than “when?” That said, 𒀰showrunners have occasionally been able to toy with audience expectations.

David Tennant hadn’t yet announced he was leaving the show when the Tenth Doctor started regenerating at the end of 2008’s “The Stolen Earth”. A week later, in “Journey’s End’, Russell T Davies indulged in some sly narrative sleight-of-(literal) hand by using the Doctor’s previo♏usly severed appendage to halt the process.

A few months later – after Tennant had confirmed he was off – Davies instigated anot♏her tease by calling the subsequent Christmas special “The Next Doctor”. We knew Tennant was sticking around for four more specials, but it didn’t stop various tabloids specula💜ting that the episode’s co-star, David Morrissey, would be taking over in the TARDIS.

The opportunity to keep “The Reality War”’s bona fide regeneration under wraps required a unique set of circumstances. Most years, the practicalities of TV production ensure that keeping the next Doctor’s identity secret is a virtual impossibility. After all, with the show constantly on the radar of both the UK press and an extremely passionate fanbase, any whiff of cameraﷺs rolling is liable to find its way into the public domain.

This year was different, even though there were several hints that something major was about to happen. For starters “The Reality Wꦍar” didn’t land on streaming platforms BBC iPlayer and Disney+ until it aired on terrestrial channel BBC One. Gatwa, meanwhile, had been extremely coy about his future on the show, fuelling rumours that he might be ready to hang up the sonic screwdriver. Most importantly, for the first time since the show’s🐼 triumphant 2005 return, there was still no confirmation of a new season. This remains the case, though Davies has been saying for months that a decision on the show’s future was always unlikely until the current run of episodes aired.

It’s a void the showrunner has filled in spectacular style, playing his cards to perfection. While “The Reality War” wasn’t my favourite episode of the season – I share many of the feelings expressed in GamesRadar+’s 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Doctor Who season 2 finale review – I found🍌 its final act utterly exhilarating. Indeed, I was on the edge of my seat as soon as it became clear that bringing toddler Poppy back to reality was going to require a blast of regeneration energy. This regeneration was a reveal so massive that it rivalled the moment Luke Skywalker turned up in The Mandalorian. After watching “The Reality War” I can’t help wondering what it would have been like if David Tennant had unexpectedly regenerated into the then-unknown Matt Smith at the end of “The Next Doctor”. Or – in what would have been an even bigger shock – Peter Capaldi had surprised everyone༒ by morphing into Jodie Whittaker halfway through his final season.

The arrival of a new Doctor is always exciting, but the Time Lord’s latest regeneration multiplied that feeling by a factor of… I du🥀nno, let’s s✱ay 15.

'The Reality War' is hands down the biggest, wildest, and weirdest episode of Doctor Who this season – and quite possibly ever. Over an extended 66 minutes, it crams🌌 in the return of several old characters, a resurrected villain, s✃ome unexpected Time Lord lore, multiple realities colliding, and the eventual regeneration of Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor.

But bigger doesn't always mean better. 'The Reality War' has many wonderful moments, particularly in its latter half, but it also marks a weak conclusion to the story of Belinda Chandra, and suffers from an even more pronounced disregard for logic than is usual for this knowingly daft show. It's the very definition of a lot to take in and – cards on the𒉰 table – even after multiple viewings, I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it and where it leaves the show.

Spoilers for 'The Reality War'

The episode picks up exactly where 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:'Wish World' left off. E෴arth is cracking open and the Doctor is tumbling into the infernal Underverse. Before he is lost forever, however, a magic door opens and reveals Anita – Steph de Whalley's charming breakout character from last year's Christmas special, a truly welcome returnee.

Anita saves the Doctor just in the nick of time. With his true memory and personality restored, the Doctor sets about freeing his frien෴ds from Conrad's altered reality. This leads to a bigger problem, however: bringing down the wish world will also erase baby Poppy (Sienna-Robyn Mavanga-Phipps) from existence and to her parents – the Doctor and Belinda – this is unacceptable.

Of all the strange choices made in this episode, the resolution of Belinda's storyline is the one that feels the most awkwardly fumbled. Bel was introduced this season as a strong-willed nurse whose motivation was simply t🔯o get home and back to the normal life that h🦹er incel ex had stolen from her. Conrad's wish transforms her into a housewife – a "good little girl, then good little wife, then good little mother", as Devika put it in the previous episode. But when the true reality is restored, and the characters go back to their normal selves, she is still Poppy's mother, a role that unexpectedly becomes her defining characteristic in the episode.

You can see how the script may have got to this point. Russell T Davies loves the idea of the cosmic, all-powerful Doctor dying to save a single mortal life – it's there in the 10th Doctor sacrificing himself for Bernard Cribbins' Wilf in 'The End of Time,' and echoed again here in his race to restore Poppy. The trouble is, by the end of the episode the Doctor is no longer a father, while Belinda has very much become Poppy's mother – something that🐓 she never actually had a say in.

Now, you could argue that she makes a choice in the scene where she faces down both the Rani and UNIT. In that moment, she makes it clear that she loves Poppy and will do anything to save her life. "I remember her being my daughter," Belinda says. "And ifꦇ I remember it, then it's true." But those memories were imposed on her life by Conrad's sexist vision of the world. By the closing moments of 'The Reality War', Belinda has fundamentally changed, partly through her time with the Doctor, but largely because of the wish – and now both the beginning and end of her story are defined by the actions of toxic men.

But I'm getting ahead of myself – how timey-wimey. The Doctor catches up with the two Ranis (and bless Davies for that gem of a final line from Mrs Flood) just as they succeed in summoning Omega, who has now devolved into an oversized and reasonably creepy skeleton monster. The new Rani is killed, Mrs Flood – easily the more interesting veඣrsion of the character – escapes, and the Doctor defeats Omega with 🅷the Vindicator.

Some will no doubt raise an eyebrow at the Doctor beating the baddie with, essentially, a big gun, but making the Vindicator the key to the entire season for both the Doctor and the Rani is well set up. There's a𝔉lso a pleasingly mythic quality to the image of the Doctor banishing this monster back into Hell.

There's still about 30 minutes on the clock at this point, and it's here that the episode takes its biggest turn to the personal. The Doctor and Belinda start planning their life with Poppy in a scene in the TARDIS that's both beautifully and unsettlingly played, the happy new parents passing their child's coat back and forth as𓃲 it slowly folds out of existence. This gives Millie Gibson some strong material, as Ruby desperately tries to convince her best friend and then UNIT that reality has changed around them.

Also effective is Ruby's final defeat of Conrad. She has been used and emotionally abused by this man. That she chooses to wield the power of the wish not🎃 to punish him, but to give him an undeserved chance to start over in a new life – one where he is genuinely happy and no longer a bitter bigot – is lovely and optimistic, albeit also tinged with bitter irony. Of course, he gets off scot-free! Ultimately, however, Ruby chooses kindness over vengeance, and there can be no more Doctor Who message than that.

"It's a goodnight from me..."

But the final few minutes belong, naturally, to the Doctor. That Ncuti Gatwa might be leaving the show this season has been rumored for months now, so🍬 it's not the biggest surprise to see him regenerate here, particularly when the rest of the episode has worked hard to bring all his old fr🧜iends back together.

It is a shame to see him go so soon, th🏅ough, after jusꩲt 19 episodes in the role. This season really started to dig into his specific version of the character, but it still feels like there was a lot of room left to explore. Perhaps we'll see the 15th Doctor again one day, but for now this is goodbye, in a protracted farewell scene that he unexpectedly shares with Jodie Whittaker's 13th Doctor.

Whittaker's cameo is a delight, by the way, perfectly played by both actors and written ওwith a precision that's lacking from some other parts of the episode. "I love you," says Gatwa's Doctor, leading to Whittaker musing: "I 𝐆never say things like that... I should say that to Yaz!" To which Gatwa softly adds, "You never do." Gorgeous, well-judged writing and, to steal a word from the 15th Doctor's dying moments, it's a joy to see Whittaker in the role again.

And so to the future, and to Billie Piper, back in the show that kickstarted her acting career, but in a very different role. We don't yet know what's next for the show, or for Piper in the role, though her casting is a strong indication that Davies and the BBC, at least, do intend to continue, with or without Dis🗹ney on board. You don't cast a busy actor and writer like Piper unless you're actively planning toܫ work with them.

Taking a step back from the curious mix of delight, melancholy, amusement and annoyance that I felt while watching 'The Reality War,' it seems clear that, as a piece of episodic drama, this was the weakest instalment in an otherwise strong season. A confused tangle of the good, the bad, and the truly baffling – in the latter camp we can file the reintroduction of Susan in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:'The Interstellar Song Contest,' only for her to disappear out of the season entirely. Did something get cut, or is that, like that strange last-minute mention o🎃f "the Boss," another tease for the future? Time will tell, but for now, it fee🐎ls like a dropped ball.

And yet, for all these grumbles, I've loved this season, this Doctor, and this version of the show. Gatwa, Sethu, and Gibson have been a charismatic TARDIS team, and I've appreciated the show's focus on largely new villains away from the big three of the Daleks, Cybermen, and the Master. Part of being a Doctor Who fan is accepting that sometimes the show’s reach exceeds its grasp. As I said at the top, there's a fine line between "grand" 🦋and "grand folly." 'The Reality War' tips over i♐nto the latter more than I'd like, but its hearts are undoubtedly in the right place. And I can't wait to see what happens next.

It's heavily implied in season 2 that Abby and her friends (save for Manny) have already defected and/or are planning to, as Isaac complains about Abby's absence.

Owen and Mel plan to flee to Santa Barbara to find the remaining Fireflies, but Lev wants to persuade 🔜his mother to come with them. This happens right as the WLF launches an all-out invasion of the Sera𝕴phite island, culminating in a tense moment where Yara is shot right before Isaac arrives to confront Abby. Yara shoots Isaac, saving Lev's life, but dies in the process, allowing Abby and Lev to escape.

In the🉐 game, Lev is with Abby when it's discovered that Owen and Mel are dead. He is also with Abby during the big showdown with Ellie and Dina in the theater, allowing Team Abby to gain the upper hand. During the final, final showdown at the end of The Last of Us Part 2, Abby escapes with Lev by boat, after Ellie decides not to kill them.

Will Lev and Yara be in The Last of Us season 3?

Back in 2023, Ian Alexander and Victoria Grace both told separate🦩 news outlets that they would love to return for season 2 as Lev and Yara. However, given how the show decided to break up Ellie and Abby's plots in a way that's more akin to the game's timeline it would make more sense for Lev and Yara to appear in season 3. Season 2 ends by jumping back in time to show us Abby's Seattle Day One, much like in the game, and will likely begin the same way – showing us what A🍸bby was doing during those three days that Ellie and Dina were hunting her down.

Lev and Yara are indeed part of Abby's three-day arc in the game, with Lev being the one who eventually crosses over with Ellie and Dina. We can speculate that season 3 will be Abby's three days in Seattle, with a potential season 4 covering The Farm and Santa Barbara. This would stretch Lev's arc over two seasons, up to the final showdown between Ellie and Abby. Nothing has been confirmed, but anything is possible. And given that Jeffrey Wright returned to play Isaac, the character ♕he provided the voice and motion capture for, it's possible that Alexander and Grace could return as well.

It doesn’t make what happens next any easier, particularly as we’ve spent 11 episodes growing attached to Joel and Ellie’s father-daughter bond. It does, however, provide some justification. We aren’t metaphorically standing at Joe🍒l’s grave asking why, and Abby isn’t the swaggering torturer that Negan was. There is a struggle in her revenge, offering some sympathy from the beginning of episode 2, in a dream sequence where she tells herself not to walk through a door that will reveal her father’s corpse. Negan didn’t get anything close to a sympathetic portrayal until season 9 of The Walking Dead when many had given up on the show.

The impact of what Joel did echoes across Ellie’s subsequent quest for revenge. In episode 5, cornered and facing infec🍃tion, Abby’s accomplice Nora reads off Joel’s charges: “Don’t you know what he did?” she asks, “he killꦓed everyone in that hospital, including the only fucking person alive that could make a cure from you. That was Abby’s father. And Joel shot him in the head. That’s what he did.” It’s a grim assessment, underlining how he is seen by those who survived the massacre.

So, is this series aiming for longevity by flipping the roles, turning loveable Pedro Pascal into the villain of the piece? Not really, as while Abby’s justification ꦯfor killing him is aired, so too is his reasoning for saving Ellie. Her calm response of “I know” to Nora’s claims, followed by Ellie meeting out the same kind of brutality as Abby, shows a kind o🌠f messy morality where “good” depends on your point of view.

This is underlined by Joel’s justification when confessing what he did for Ellie in a flashback. Accepting that he’ll “pay the price” but▨ that he’d do it all over again “because I love you, in a way you can’t understand. Maybe you never will. But if that day should come, if you should have one of your ow🐲n, well then, I hope you do a little better than me.” As Ellie looks to become a parent with Dina (Isabela Merced), she could understand his perspective sooner than she expected.

Season 2 ends from Abby’s point of view, something we will be seeing a lot of in season 3 if the next season sticks to the structure of the game. She may always be a villain to those who loved Joel, but the senselessness of his exit is taken away by telling a story where there are no heroes or villains, just people fighting for what they love. With that in minﷺd, it will be easier to follow Abby into future 🉐episodes, instead of abandoning her in the way many did with Negan.

That being said, we can speculate that The Last of Us season 3 will start with Abby's Seattle Day One, Two, and Three - and potentially end there. Because a season 4 has been planned (though not yet renewed), it's possible that the fourth season 📖will center on The Farm and Santa Barbara, saving Abby and Ellie's final confrontation until then (especially with what O'Hara said about season 3 focusing mainly on Abby's story). It's worth noting that season 2 does change the narrative quite a bit, what with telling us within just the first few minutes of the season that Abby plans to kill Joel - rather than keep her reasoning something of a mystery until we play through her perspective.

Because of this, we can expect many more narrative changes 💦as well as a crop of new characters. That episode saw the return of both the Doctoཧr's granddaughter, Susan, and 💃the Rani, now split in two thanks to an unexpected bi-generation.

Slightly surprisingly, 'Wish World' largely sidelines some of these elements. Susan is glimpsed only briefly here, and while we spend a lot of time with the Rani, she's not really the main focus of the episode, which instead🧜 feels like it owes a considerable debt to WandaVision.

After a brief prologue in Bavaria, 1865, we cut to London, 2025 and find the Doctor and Belinda unexpectedly waking up in bed together. The world, we soon discover, has been changed and our heroes are living out perfectly mundane lives with no sense of their true identities. It's all thanks to the combined powers of the Rani, a kidnapped god, and the wishes of Conrad (Jonah Hauer-King), Ruby Sunday's awful ex from '澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Lucky Day.'

Freed fꦡrom prison by the Rani at the end of that episode, Conrad is now the figurehead for a '50s-tinged, retro-futurist – and repressively heteronormative – nightmare Britain. Ruby is also here, though she's starting to clock that things are wrong with this reality even before she meets UNIT's Shirley Anne Bingham (Ruth Madeley) and becomes part of a growing resistance movement.

This 𓂃is simultaneously new and familiar territory for Davies. Certainly, he has written dystopias for the show before, notably in 'Turn Left' and 'The Sound of D🃏rums'/'The Last of the Time Lords' two-parter, which 'Wish World' bears some similarities to.

What's different here is the specificity: this is very much a "trad" timeline, one that's actively hostile to minorities, and wher⛎e women have strictly regimented roles – "good little girl, good little wife, then good little mother," as Belinda's auntie puts it. It's no coincidence that the storybook that Conrad reads to the world is styled like one of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels.

Davies' satirical ire is barely disguised here, but it's woven into t𒊎he action of the show well enough that 'Wish World' doesn't feel like a lecture. The reinvention of UNIT as an insurance firm with a wildly over-compensating office space is genuinely amusing. And Conrad, a character I was intrigued but not wholly convinced by in 'Lucky Day,' makes much more sense here. Of course, this is the sort of grimly patriarchal world a loser like him would fantasize about.

Sturm und Drang

The other notable aspect of the episode is t🎃he two Ranis. We open the episode with Archie Panjabi's new version, who – while not exactly giving a subtle performance here – seems to have toned things down a little since last week's mid-credits sequence. She commands much of the episode, whether stealing a baby in Bavaria (a very Doctor Who scene that neatly straddles the line between deeply silly and genuinely unsettling) or soaring up to her bone palace on some sort of sci-fi moped. Panjabi adds little grace notes to her performance that nod to the character's original actor, Kate O'Mara, but feels like her own unique incarnation.

That said, on the basis of this episode, the Rani is not a million miles away from Davies' take on the Master. She dances under a disco ball while taunting th🔥e Doctor and her scheme (steal a baby, create a fake world that collapses because of doubt, somehow release an old Time Lord) is complex and slightly nonsensical. Hopefully, we'll get more of the fabled "amoral scientist" aspect of the character next week.

Mrs Flood, meanwhile, verജy much continues to be Mrs Flood. The two incarnations clearly do not see eye-to-eye, and the chances of the latter betraying the former seem pretty strong right now.

Where I have slight concerns about 'Wish World' is the sheer number of characters ♒and plot threads now in play. As well as saving the Earth and defeating the two Ranis, the Doctor also has to reckon with the reintroduction of another old enemy, the "first Time Lord" Omega. Then there's the matter of Susan – surely we'll see more of her than just those few brief flashes in 'The Interstellar So💞ng Contest'? – and the conclusions, at least for now, of both Ruby and Belinda's story arcs. All that and maybe a regeneration? It's a lot to cram into one episode, even if it is 66 minutes long.

Still, those are problems for next week. 'Wish World' is a pacey, exciting, and ambitio🍷us first half of what may turn out to be Doctor Who's biggest – and perhaps most consequential – series finale yet. Who could wish for more?

The second (and final) season's finale sets up Cassian and co.'s mission to steal the plans for the Death Star, which the Rebellion has learned the existence of thanks to information from Luthen Rael's network of spies over the course of Andor season 2. These plans, which include details of a vulnerability covertly added to the superweapon's design by engineer Galen Erso, allow Luke Skywalker to successfully destroy the Death Star in the final act of Star W𝓀ars: A New Hope.

However, when you look at the time🦹frame of Andor season 2, Rogue One, and A New Hope, it doesn't seem like the Death Star was actually out in the field for very long…

A wrinkle in the choice, on♌e that made Joel more sympathetic, was that we didn't know if the Fireflies would actually be able to make a cure. In the game itself, no one knows if Ellie's immunity can be copied or used to help other people. Would you sacrifice a child who'd essentially become your daughter for just a chance to develop a vaccine?

The debate has been raging for 12 years. The ambiguity has led 📖to different perspectives and arguments all being true at once, keeping the game interesting all these years. But now🏅, Druckmann has a definitive answer.

"Could the Fireflies make a cure," Druckmann asks in a clip posted to Reddit? "Our intent was that, yes, they could. Now, is our science a little shaky that now people are questioning it? Yeah, it was a little shaky and now people are questioning that. I can't say anything. All I can say is that our intent is that they would have made a🥀 cure."

So, there you have it, Joel doomed the world by selfishly choosing to save Ellie. No more debate is needed, it's his fault the cycle of violence continues. "That makes the most interesting philosophical question for what Joel does," D💃ruckmജann adds, but a lot of fans disagree.

There's been a new push to paint Joel as a definite bad guy, removing any of the greyness from his world and the decisions it forces onto the survivors. But now, he's just the man who doomed the world.

But when the Imperial tactical unit sent to arrest Kleya is wiped out by K-2SO, backup never arrives because everyone is busy keeping up appearances and searching for someone with a non-existent sickness. The irony is that Partagaz is present for that episode 1 meeting, and fails to heed the warning as it's unlikely he overheard the conversation.

However, not everyone is convinced that the two are connected, with one fan saying “I don’t think it was intentional. I bet the episode 1 line is just… meant to reference his speech from his first appearance.” Partagaz does have a habit of using medical metaphors in his speech. In Andor season 2 episode 12, Dedra Meero is imprisoned by the ISB after it's r♈evealed that she accidentally received top secret correspondence about the creation of the Death Star, but kept the information instead of reporting and deleting it, which allowed to rebels to find out about the Death Star when her computer was hacked.

One shot in the episode, as flagged by a fan on , shows Dedra captured on CCTV in her cell, with her identifying info𝔍rmation on-screen. This is pretty much identical to a shot in THX 1138, which shows the t♔itular character in prison.
