<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> //344567.top 2025-06-11T15:00:00Z en <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Capcom offered a substantial – but still all too brief – look at Resident Evil Requiem behind closed doors at Summer Game Fest, and while the meat of that hands-off gameplay demo was played in first-person, there was one more big surprise at the end. The devs revealed an in-game toggle a𒆙llowing you to play Requiem from a third-person perspective.

While Capcom only briefly demonstrated the toggle, it appears you can use it at any time and move between first- and third-person modes whenever you want. The game seems to be fully pla🧸yable in either mode – it’s just a question of whether you prefer seeing protagonist Grace Ashcroft or simp🌱ly seeing through her eyes.

Having this option at launch is a big change for Resident Evil, which has spent the༒ past several years split🐼 between old-school, third-person games like the remakes of 2, 3, and 4, and the new-school, first-person games like RE7 and Village.

🧜澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Village did eventuඣally get a third-person toggle of its own, but it was never an ideal way to play the game. Hopefully, a gameꦑ designed from the ground up with this perspective in mind will be able to deliver a more robust experience from s✃tart to finish.

Either way, Re💎sident Evil Requiem is ౠlooking like one hell of a survival-horror game, and one that might just deliver the biggest sense of terror in series history. Capcom’s more than proven its bona-fides in any perspective.

Capcom has delivered many of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best horror games ever made.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> With Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom aims to blend "true survival horror" with "high-stakes action" – and in a behind-closed-doors gameplay demo, it's clear that the studio is continuing to fire on all cylinders. The 30 minutes or so I got to see were among the most tension-filled, horrifying moments I🦩've seen in any Resident Evil game. Picture the early moments in the Baker house of Resident Evil 7 or the darkest depths of the basement in Village, crank up the intensity even higher, and you might start to get an idea of what the devs are accomplishing here.

Our protagonist Grace Ashcroft is an FBI agent, but while she's had some training, she still doesn't have field experience. That makes her the perfect hero for this kind of story – one who can fully ex✅press tജhe terror the setting deserves, but whose ability to survive these horrors feels genuinely earned.

Entering the world of survival horror

Key info

Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom
Platform(s): PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
Release date: February 27, 2026

The demo opens with the same scene we saw in the trailer: Grace is stꦇrapped, upside-down, to a gurney mounted on the wall. Her blood's being drawn for some surely terrible purpose, but that ends up being her saving grace, as she smashes the blood container and uses the shattered remnants to cut herself free from her bonds.

That all happens in a cutscene, but she becomes playable. We move into a first-person perspective just like😼 the other modern Resident Evil games – but more on that in a minute. It'll look instantly familiar i♛f you've played Resident Evil 7 or 8, with an intimate look at the dingiest corners of claustrophobic rooms, where you look for something you can use to solve a puzzle or any item that can give you an advantage against the monstrous horrors you'll face.

Capcom demonstrated the game running on PS5 Pro, and while it's immediately recognizable as another title on the venerable RE Engine, it looks absolutely stunning. The dim corridors of the decrepit hospital Grace finds herself exploring are absolutely stunning, with terrifically rendered lighting just barely illuminating the way. The corners of some rooms here are pitch black, but thereꩲ's a gor🐷geous and terrifying contrast between light and dark.

As Grace moves thro🧜ugh the 🥃halls, tension builds, thanks in large part to the subtle details of the environment. Long hallways have odd light fixtures at the end to give a subtle impression of faces in the dark, and a bizarre horse sculpture that looks like a grasping monster from certain angles makes a particularly strong impression.

There's a whole 'nother layer to the tension thanks to Grace's reaction t♛o the whole thing. She's breathing heavily, constantly working to calm herself down as she explores, and it all adds even more to the atmosphere. The items she picks up feel like sick jokes - no flashlight, she gets a lighter to brighten the corridors. No weapons, she ge🦋ts a bottle to distract enemies.

An evil resident

"The whole sequence felt li♛ke something o🐎f a Resident Evil greatest hits collection."

If you've played any previous survival-horror-fo🍒cused Resident Evil game, you can probably guess the basic format here. You find a door marked with a cherub, so you need to locate the cherub key. There's a big gate missing power, so you need to find a fuse to get it moving. All the while, 🔯you're moving back and forth through tight corridors, expecting some awful monster to jump out at any moment.

The eventual jump scare is a fꦅakeout – a classic dead body falling over gag. The real horror comes when some awful, distended creature reaches into the scene and chomps that body's head off directly in front of Grace, prompting a big chase to drive home the "high-stakes action" part of♊ the equation.

This creature was briefly teased in the reveal trailer, and it's deliciously awful. Think of an even more monstrous version of Marguerite Baker from RE7 and you'll get the idea: limbs subtly but grotesquely stretching in all the wrong ways, and an upsetting capacity for sneaking away 𒉰into the walls and rafters for a thing so large.

Resident Evil Requiem

The whole 🔯sequence felt like something of a Resident Evil greatest hits collection. The classic puzzle solving of the original games, the stalking encounter design of RE7's Jack, and even the claustrophobic hideaways of RE Village's infamous basement.

Grace eventually makes her escape, at least temporarily, by repairing the fuse and narrowly squeezing under the gate. But Capcom had one more surprise for those in attendance for the demo. We reset to the start of it all, then the 🥃dev paused the game, opened the options, and toggled into a third-person viewpoint. Yes, it appears you can play Requiem entirely in first or third-person, depending on which flavor of survival-horror you prefer.

It all looks genuinely terrifying, and I'm in full agreement with my colleague James that this might just be the scariest Resident Evil has ever been. I'm an absolute horror baby who's become a Resident Evil fan thanks to its historic camp, and part of me genuinely wonders if I'll be able to stick with Requiem through to the end after how nail-biting what I saw in this demo was. But Capcom's citing the idea of addictive horror - a kind of fear you can't help but keep exploring - as core to Requiem, and I think 🐭it might already have taken hold of me, because this little demo has me dying to know what happens next.

Capcom looks poised to deliver yet another one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best horror games out there.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Speedrunners work fast - it's kinda part of the territory - and despite 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 being out less than two months, the completion record is down to sub-90 minutes. That's a pretty incredible feat for a story-dense action-RPG, and Ben Starr, one of the voice actors, poked some fun a𓄧t the notion of someone glossing over all the narrative elements.

A fundamental element of any speedrun is skipping as much as humanly possible. In Clair Obscur, there's a lot of cut-scenes to bypass, vastly reducing how much of the plottin꧒g and performance work the player encounters.

During an episode of Devs React to Speedrun on IGN focusing on the French game, the cast got to see speedrunner Oh Snap do his thing with Expedition 33, for which he's currently fifth in the world f🗹or completion time. In the demonstration, they chat about seeing players already carve out such impressive records, leading Starr to sprinkle in some sarcasm.

"Thank you so much for respecting 🐎our work, it really is amazing," he says, adding on a more sincere note: "It's so cool to see the ways in which audiences have engaged with this. [Director] Guillaume [Broche] has said himself, he wants to see people do no-hit runs."

Starr goes on to state there are multiple ways to enjoy something like Clair Obscur: "This game is obvioಞusly a really beautiful narrative and an amazing, immersive world, an amazing story,🉐 but also it's a playground for fun."

He then makes another lighthearted jab as Oh Snap clips through a bush. "It's just reall๊y cool to see people play the game the way that it wa♐s intended," Starr laughs.

Speedrunning gives a whole 🐼other perspective on most games, as people demonstrate wild ways of traversing any given release. Clair Obscur is a gorgeously presented, incredibly deep RPG, and it's positively cartoony to watch someone quite literally fall through parts of it to make progress.

Achieving these outrageous runs takes a lot of discipline and granular knowledge. If you just want to enjoy a game, playing the regular way, with all the cast doing their 𝕴thing in full, is advised.

"That was me at three in the morning trying to come up with something": Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's silliest moment came to its writer when she was very, very tired

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> As I watch a stuttering gameplay demo for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Code Vein 2 during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025, all I can think about is how pretty it looks – 🐷when it's behaving. But this is the way of the Code Vein f💦ranchise: the original game from 2019 was awkward to control, though as atmospheric as 2AM, but its sequel's producer tells me Code Vein 2 wants to be better.

"In terms of why it was important to make Code Vein 2," producer Keita Iizuka says through an interpreter when I ask him, "I think [...] that core [Soulslike] gameplay – retaining it and improving on it for the players for the players wa🍃s important to me."

"I think the Soulslike, challenging battles๊ [...] and the dramওatic storytelling with the exploration is something that resonates really well with players," Iizuka continues. "Likewise, from the gameplay mechanics side, the idea of having a partner with you during all this exploration" – Code Vein features several companion characters – "I think is very emotionally rewarding.

"Those elemꦿents – we wanted to🌠 bring them into Code Vein 2, and then evolve them."

That's why Iizuka considers Code Vein 2 a standalone game. While the RPG's gothic and electronic, supernatural and futuristic environment identify it as part of the Code Vein family tree, and its story about hunting monster Revenants adopts some of the first game's mythology, Code⛦ Vein♑ 2 is ultimately "completely different," Iizuka says.

"The world is completely different," he explains. "The characters are all different. So th🎐e story, of course, is going to be different."

But, most importantly for me – someone who's unable to deny any vampire's demonic, cherry-stained beauty – Code Vein 2 is a vampire game in an expanding galaxy of vampire games, if FromSoftware's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Duskbloods and RPG 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Blood of Dawnwalker are any indication. With its combat system propelled by your ability to🧔 drain enemies' blood, Iizuka muses that "there's something that really attracts us to this [...] motif for characters and storytelling."

Vampires are "extremely powerful and very strong," he continues, "yet they [have] very clear weaknesses that I think everyone kind of universally understands." Just like any of ꦺus fallible humans, "they're not invincible."

Ex Witcher 3 devs reveal first gameplay trailer for vampire RPG Blood of Dawnwalker, complete with decapitations and a 2026 release window.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> To the surprise of no one, Call of Duty is back this year with the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. That's right, as revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 schedule, we're going straight into Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 from last year's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Black Ops 6, and it marks the 🌊franchise's return to a futuristic setting. Welc൩ome back, David Mason.

We know that last year's installment was , so it seems the Xbox and Activision teams were on to something when they decided to release two new Black Ops entries back-to-back. This also signals Black Ops 7 might have been in the works for nearly as long as BO6 at Raven Software and Treyarch. No, this new game won't be handled by a different set of lead studios. What's ♑new in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, though?

Beyond new weapons🤡 to level up and an all-new campaign with the option to play in co-op, what should we expect from this return to BO2's dark future and legacy characters? As its Fall 2025 launch gets closer, we're collecting everything we know here. So read on for all the information that you need to know about the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 release window, trailer, gameplay, and more!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 release date speculation

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch in late 2025. This big news came our way during 💙Summer Game Fest, and all of us FPS fanಌs couldn't be happier.

Xbox and Activision have yet to confirm a release date, and we're expecting to get the full answer at the reveal event coming . If we examine Call of Duty's traditional release windows, it's logical to expect Black O💖ps 7 to arrive between the late October period and mid-November. Stay tuned for updates.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 platforms

At launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC via Xbox PC, Battle.net, and Steam. Of course, with Activision now being in the Xbox family, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will get it day one. But a potential release on the Switch 2 hasn't been discussed.

Despite the cutting-edge tech involved in the most recent Call of Duty games (BO6 used the IW 9.0 engine with current-gen-specific optimizations), the powers that be aren't ready to le🔴t go of last-gen consoles ye🎃t. Don't expect an optimal experience on 12-year-old hardware, though.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 trailer

At this stage, we've only received one look at Black Ops 7. It arrived right at the end of June 2025's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase and mostly consisted of a CG cutscene establishing the in-universe tech advancements in line with what w♌e saw in 2012's Black Ops 2. It's an intriguing 3-minute tease✱r, though.

At the very end, we get quick glimpses of what appears to be in-game action, including multiplayer maps, campaign sections, and this year's Zombies mode. Of course, there's a new menace that needs to be taken down, and David Mason i𒐪s back in action. Watch out for a surprise comeback, too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 story and setting

A man looking out at the city at night during the trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set "more than 40 years" after Black Ops 6, meaning it happens a whole decade after Black Ops 2, which took place in 2025 outside of its late-Cold War sections. If ❀the 'numbers situation' of this sub-franchise doesn't make sense to you, know that you're not alone. It's the result of jumping all over the timeline in a very non-linear way and deciding to bring back numbered entries after Black Ops: Cold War.

Before we dive any deeper into Black Ops 7's story and setting, here's a rundown of the chronological order of the Black Ops sub-franchise: 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:World at War (yes, it's connected to the series), 1, Cold War, 6, 2, 7, 4, and 3. Two important notes: If you want to avoid a bunch of spoilers, it's recommended to play 2 before 6 due to its late 1980s flashbacks, which have an impact on what comes after. Second, Black Ops 4 is skippable as it's the franchise's only multiplayer-only installment... and just isn't good ov❀erall.

With that whole mess out of the way, le⭕t's go back to Black Ops 7. Yes, it's set in 2035, and the world is "on the brink of chaos" yet again. At this point, it's important to bring up that Black Ops 2 offered several endings depending on a couple of player choices and whether the optional Strike Force missions were completed or not before reaching the end of the campaign.

We've yet to receive confirmation on which ending has been chosen as 'canon' to shape the state of the world and the main characters when Black Ops 7's story begins, but the twisted bad guy Raul Menendez is back somehow. Many will instantly say he's not dead, but the Black Ops series is known for loopy twists and a focus on psychological warfare, so he could be back but not alive (think of The Joker's presence in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Batman: Arkham Knight). Is he aliv𓆏e, dead but living rent-free in David Mason's head, or just part of an advanced AI system? All the options make sense in the Black O﷽ps universe, so we're not ruling anything out.

Little else is known about the actual plot of the 🐼campaign, although the teaser trailer provides some clues: peace has been restored (or is in the process of being restored) thanks to an organization called The Guild. During the events of Black Ops 6, this group is involved in weapon trafficking and smuggling. 40 years later, it's evolved into a seemingly huge global weapons manufacturer led by CEO Emma Kagan. They're offering to protect the world from itself thanks to all sorts of automated weapons, drones, and robots.

Needless tꦍo s🥃ay, David Mason and his team will have a hard time believing The Guild, and Raul Menendez might be key to uncovering a new conspiracy.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 gameplay

A group of zombies walking in the rain during the trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

This is Call of Duty we're talking about, so we're not expecting any major shake-ups to the winning first-person shooter formula that's kept the franchise at the top of the food chain for so long. However, we must assume a number of additions introduced in 2024's Black Ops 6 – namely, the 🔯omni-movement system – are being kept around alongside refreshed mechanics from Black Ops 2 due to the return to its futuristic setting. All t♐he specifics are expected to be revealed when the Black Ops 7 event happens this summer.

What we do know already is the story campaign, developed by Raven Software, will be playable in co-op for the first t𝄹ime since Black Ops 3 (2015). "Round-based Zombies in the heart of the Dark Aet🍃her" are also back, meaning that Activision and Treyarch aren't messing with the core structure for the foreseeable future. Again, we'll be learning more soon.

Can you pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 7?

Pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 aren't available yet and likely won't go live until we have a firm release date.

Expect this to change later this summer. Meanwhile, you can continue to grind through 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Black Ops 6's seasons or go back and replay every Black Ops game, some of which are in our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Call of Duty games list.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> The Days of Play 2025 sale comes to an end tonight, and that means you don't have long to make the most of a $50 discount on the famously expensive PS5 Pro. This saving isn't likely to return anytimꦬe soon, considering how new the console still is. Fortunately, now is a great time to buy the PS5 Pro since its latest firmware update has addressed an issue that early buyers have been complaining about for a while now.

Version 25.04-11.40.00 has been confirmed to fix an issue with PS5 Pro's VRR (variable refresh rate) that caused games using it to stutter when mak🤡ing use of this feature. Now that that's been fixed, the console should have fewer issues outputting smooth frame rates to the display you're using. That’s the icing on the cake of the console’s current price cut ,which brings the $699.99 device down to .

Days of Play has laid a lot of Sony's hardware down to lower prices, so alongside this, you can get some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best PS5 accessories fo꧒r cheaper right now too. The DualSense Edge, PSVR 2, and the regular PS5 controller are all discounted until midnight, and that doesn't happen all that frequently throughout the year.

PlayStation 5 Pro |
Save $50 - The PS5 Pꦦro has never been cheaper than it is right now, and I wouldn't count on it seeing this sort of reduction again anytime soon. Even during Black Friday and Prime Day, it'd be surprising if Sony dropped the price like 🌠this again because the console is still under a year old.

Buy it if:

✅ You want the most powerful game console
✅ You know PC gaming isn't your bag
✅ You have a display with a high refresh rate

Don't buy it if:

❌ You have the budget for a PC
❌ You want something portable

UK:

Should you buy the PS5 Pro?

The $700 price of the PS5 Pro was enough to send a lot of folks into a frenzy, especially when Sony's homemade video game outings haven't been as promising as they were in the PS4 era. With a $50 discount, you'll need to tell me if that makes it a more accessible console for your budget. The PS5 Pro does deliver some boosted performance over the regular PS5, but in a lot of games, you'll likely need to look hard for the finer details. Compared to one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming PCs, you are still saving some money, and that's doub🍌ly true while the PS5 Pro is discounted.

Still, as a PC gamer first and foremost, I'd wager that if you're keen to explore the higher levels of gaming performance, saving up a bit more and buying a desktop machine will likely give you the real experience you're after. Games ported to any console don't render as much detail natively, and a lot of them boil down their settings menus, which takes away a lot of your control over the graphical details you care about. If you want to get into the nitty gritty, a PC or laptop is going to giꦛve you more to play with.

That said, if you know for a fact that PC gaming isn't your bag, you're sceptical about the power of the more affordable options like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nintendo Switch 2, and want to ensure you have the toughest console out there, the PS5 Pro is i𝓰t. Xbox doesn't have an equivalent to the PS5 Pro, and its upcoming handhelds are more geared at the portable market than the stay-at-home, high-performance enthusiast.

As translated by in an online post, a recent Koji10 episode on sees the lead reveal that he's been hard at work recently on the last trailer before the Death Stranding 2 launch on June 26. Not only has Kojima been finalizing what's almost sure to be a cinematic masterpiece of a video while on land, however, but also while mid-air – that's right, he's been editing during flights on the plane by selecting ﷺclips to use on his iPad.

Kojima promises new information regarding Death Stranding 2 to come to light once the big trailer releases later this month, but that's not all – he also hints that a moment about halfway through the video will leave viewers in awe, asking, "What?!" While he doesn't specify wꦍhat that moment is or what shocking things it might unveil, it's exciting to think that an eve💞n more thought-provoking Death Stranding 2 trailer than the last is arriving.

There are more exciting creations to come from Kojima than just the Death Stranding sequel, too. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> I'll always appreciate the simplicity of a video game title like Date Everything that does what it says on the tin. In this debut romance from Sassy Chap Games you really do date just about everything you can set your peepers on, and with 100 'dateables' to meet, all within your household and all fully voiced, that frequently is more than you'd expect. Handsome himbos hide in the closet, bickering besties are a door away, and drama is🐈 afoot in the laundry room. Meeting a new character is always a joyous surprise, even if at times it can bend under the weight of the sheer ambition juggling 100 characters is always going to demand.

Just how are you doing so much dating in a single household? Simple – they are, for the most part, the objects around your house made real. After losing your job to AI, you're sent the company's latest in-development wearable tech: the Dateviators – sunglasses that allow you to DATE (Directly Acknowledge a Thing's Existence) anything you see. From objects themselves – chairs, fridges, shelves – to more abstract concepts – water, air, dread – you can meetꦚ and grow closer to these characters to strike up 🧸friendships… and maybe more.

Fast facts

Publisher: Team 17
Platform(s): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X Nintendo Switch
Release date: June 17, 2025

With a freeform structure, your goal is mostly what you want to make it, revolving around exploring your house in three-dimensions and getting to better know whatever catches your eye. Each character has a little storyline to follow as you get to know them, bestowing you SPEC stat points (think 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Persona 5) once you've reached a relati♕onship milestone with them൩, which in turn allow you to choose new dialogue branches and even, later on, help resolve characters' problems and enable them to have closure with their own ending sequences.

Friendship, Love, or Hate – all the options will net you those sweet, sweet points. It's mostly up to you what you gun for, though as satisfying as it is to end up hated by your extremely suspect dishwasher who refuses to stop pestering you about connecting to the internet to unlock more features, Hate can also be a sort of 'lose' condition if you rub a character the wrong way. It'll stop you from being able to reso🦹lve their ending, though a limited candy resource you can nab later on does allow you some wriggle room in getting to turn hatred ba♎ck into friendship.

With 100 characters to juggle, a ga💛me like Date Everything is only going to be able to get so deep with some of them. Each player is bound to have their own favorites, but I enjoyed the stories the most that lean into the community aspect of the household at large, lapping up the surprising drama that comes from the interactions all these seemingly mundane elements have with one another. It m🅷akes the world feel alive.

Harper and Dirk reflect on their toxic relationship in Date Everything

The washer and dryer, Washford and Drysdale, used to be an item, but their relationship has been on the rocks, for instance. Or Friar Errol, the air fryer w🦋ho drives the rest of the kitchen up the wall (sorry, Wall, the stoic wall) preaching the good word of the oil-free kitchen appliance. Or the on-again-off-again lovers Harper, the clothes hamper, and Dirk, your dirty clothes who scurries away once cleaned. For me⛄, Date Everything is at its best when it makes the world of the Dateables feel like a hidden second world that already has its own dynamics you're only now privy to.

I also like how some storylines lean into the fact you're walking around a house – Bobby Pin, a, well, gangster loving bobbypin, searches the house for new places to run scams, meaning you have to track them down each time you want to talk again. But Date Everything really steals my heart when the storytelling leans into the abstract nature of the world beyond what you can see. Each visit to Eddie and Volt, the pair in charge of your house's electricity, sees you enter the Breaker Box Club where other Dateables gather to watch talent shows and sip on cocktails. It requires some use of 🔯my own imagination – the player is otherwise just staring into a cupboard – but I'm used to battle scenes playing out with the same handful of sword strike .gifs again and again in Fate/Stay Night so believe me I can manage. The idea of shoving yourself inexplicably into a nightclub in your closet is just wonderful.

But, as I mentioned, with so many characters some are just going to feel like they have more lightweight storylines. While some play out over the course of many interactions, others will only have one or two before they basically straight up ask ꧃if you want to bang or just be friends. While there are a few that seem to have more stringent Love conditions, a lot of the time you just follow through their story and then it's presented on a plate for you to choose.

There are other times where that lack of nuance can also frustrate. Make one ill-advised click or even misread the tone of a comment and you may be thrust onto the path of Hate with very little warning and no way to apologize, inelegantly off-ramped after feeling like you did nothing wrong. In ܫat least one case too, where character storylines collided, I first met a character only to have them H🧜ate me within seconds.

Stella the Stairs hates us in Date Everything

That compounds with the sense that though you constantly have a lot of choices of what to say in conversation, it often doesn't feel like what you say matters all too mu✨ch. At one point a comment I thought would be jokey actually turned out to be very mean, but then I only received two equally mean options to respond with to follow up – railroaded on the path of Hate.

When you do have more of an actual choice, it's often between just being extremely nice or ru🙈de (or answering some trivia questions). With so many characters, it often feels like you talk to them the same way to get the same r⛄esults – which may be why I prefer the extra depth that comes from the interpersonal drama. Date Everything is filled to the brim with content (yes, bring the hammers on me for using the c-word), easily taking at least 20 hours to see everything, but reflecting on the interaction, it can feel a bit shallow.

Where the heart is

Mac comments on the extreme lengths you use your PC for in Date Everything

At times interactions can also feel a bit fiddly. Some Dateables require you to talk to them again at specific times of day, but leave it too long and forget when and they'll refuse to chat. They'll remind you of the conditions, at least, but this uses up one of your chances to talk to them a day (you can have five conversations a day, and can only use one per Dateabl♈e) meaning you have to wait a full day to try again.

The same can be true on scavenger hunts – one having me track down missing animals but refusing to receive them until a day had passed. Or times where an object that has multiple conversation-starting points (eve🏅ry window, for instance, is one character) keeps asking me to try to tℱalk to them in different areas, meaning I go through days just trying to find where the next proper event is. There's no time limit, so it's no big deal, but it can create situations that feel more like housework than a stay at home holiday.

It'd be easier to handle if there were some more quality of life perks to tꦅhe UI. I wish it was clearer what Dateable you wꩵere looking at when aiming down sights to strike up a conversation, and it's always a bit of a pet peeve of mine when text-heavy games don't have text logs or the ability to auto-play – common features in most visual novels.

It's always a delight to see how this hous🐭ehold object or concept is brought to life.

Yet, even though not all storylines are equal and the writing is hit and miss – the characters themselves are where Date Everything really shines. From flourishes to the character design to how they speak and what they're called, almost every Dateable in the hundred strong lineup (and there's more via DLC) is a hit, expertly riffing off the concept they're based on. I could s🐷pend paragraphs pointing out my favorites – some of whom I've already discussed – but every time you meet one it's impossible not to be smiling. The designs are just that charming.

There's Abel the table embodying the quiet strength of wood, with his old-timey cowboy-like mannerisms! Freddy the fridge Yeti who takes food safety very seriously and opens himself up to give you late night snacks! Your computer, Mac, who knows all your fanfic secrets and is desperate for an upgrade! Date Everything is a masterclass in character design, from the artwork to character motivations to 🌳the voice talent (just about everyone you've heard in something else is present here), it's always a delight to see how a household object or concept is brought to life.

Date Everything's characters might not always go too far beyond that initial wonder, though. Hugely ambitious though it is, how could many of the 100 characters 💞feel like more than quick-if-delightful sketches? But it's also a testament to the strength of those designs that still, many do, and many of them will stick with you. Date Everything is far from perfect, but its cast of characters are well worth meeting at least once. And who knows? Sparks may fly.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> When you're playing a roguelite, the best thing you can hope for is consistency. One 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring Nightreign player has found it, but are y🍨ou willing to put up with hearing a bell jingle hundreds of🌊 times a run?

Vtuber Syrobe posts a video to YouTube (spotted by our friends over at ) that shows not only the Wraith Calling Bell in action, soloing the Night Aspect fin๊al boss, but also an easy movement tech you can learn to ensure you don't get a movement penalty for casting the magic item.

If you surge sprint, slide, and hold your block button whil𝔉e you slide, you can then cast while running. Syrobe says this stops the movement penalty you'd normally get when casting spells or using magical items, and it works with the bell as well. The only issue is it absolutely burns through your stamina, so thജe Vtuber reckons it'll be better in trios than solo runs.

The bell itself is simple to find; just search graveyards and you're almost guar༺anteed to get one early in your run. This consistency is what makes it so good. It's a solid magic weapon, not the best by any means, but since you can always craft your build around it, you'll have more chance of w༺inning if you get good with it.

It fires a slow-moving magical bubble at whatever enemy you're locked on to and tracks them for a considera🌟ble time. It's got a low-cost to use as well, meaning you can completely surround even nimble foes with it, making it incredibly simple to use.

It's been considerably buffed since its appearance in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring, so make sure you give it and some other weapons you overlooked a go in Nightreign. You may find t𓆏he new OP meta weapon.

The only drawback is the bell jingles every single time you use it. Every. Single. Time. By the end of a run you'll hear it in your ears like the constant and familiar droඣne of tinnitus. PC Gamer counted around 80 ring-a ding dings during the final fight, so it might make you want to ꦜmake you turn your TV volume off. Happy hunting.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> MindsEye, the new single-player action game from GTA 5 veteran Leslie Benzies' studio, Build a Rocket Boy, is finally h﷽ere, but it's unfortunately not off to a fantastic start.

Since its launch yesterday, MindsEye accumulated a peak of 3,302 concurrent players on Steam (), which isn't exactly great for a day-one performanceꦉ. What's more, it sounds like most of the people who have played it on PC aren't happy – currently, only 42% of its 827 reviews are positive, making for a "Mixed" overall rating as players criticize its and "gunplay is buggy and the game feels clunky to play."

Another that "the story is somewhat interesting, but ꧂the gameplay is just unplayable, it's nowhere near optimized," while "bugs galore! One second I'm in a cinematic, the next my car decides it's in orbit. [...] Performance so shaky you'll question humanity."

Meanwhile, players across social media have been sharing clips and screenshots of bugs and general c🐟haos. "MindsEye is not looking too good," one writes, sharing a terrifying image of a character whose eyes appear to have escaped their head, protruding from their melting face a bit like a snail.

"OH DEAR GOD," another says, with a clip showing them running over a character in a vehicle, only for it to stretch each of the poor guy's limbs into a horrifying, spaghettified mess as he goes flying. "Seb is dead🧜," the game tꦚhen proclaims.

Elsewhere, another player laments that "MindsEye definitely needed a delay," sharing a clip of NPCs running through the air, vehicles suddenly jumping up, and another poor dude phasing through the bottom of his car after being shot, all within the span of 55 second💧s.

Developer Build a Rocket Boy hasn't directly addressed the bugs, but it has posted a noting that "we understand that the current minimum spec requirements are very high, but our engineering team are working around the clock to improve performance on mainstream hardware as well as consoles by integrating the performance improvements in Unreal Engine V5.6." We should be getting more information ab𓆏out "patch 3 update timing, including these improvements" very soon.

The studio had previously advised anyone with early copies of the game to wait for MindsEye's day-one patch yesterday for some "key improvements." It had a꧟lso been stated that the Xbox Series X|S day-one patch would be arriving "as soon as possible," seemingly delayed "due to varied platform certification," but that ended up arriving on time anyway. Even so, the patch clearly hasn't been able to solve all the game's problems.

I've seen from a player claiming to have received a refund on PlaySt𒁃ation after having complained about MindsEye's performance, but it's not clear how widespread a situation this is yet. There's little doubt Build a Rocket Boy will have further things to say on the matter soon.

MindsEye continues to project confidence: ex-GTA 5 lead's new game is available physically, but the devs ask folks to delay streams until official launch time – meanwhile a 7-hour "100% walkthrough" is already on YouTube.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> A crossover between Death Stranding and Metal Gear Sol🔥id is pretty unlikely. Hideo Kojima and Konami split on seemingly acrimonious terms, and we've only seen remakes and r꧂e-releases from the latter series for years now.

Still, should it happen, Kojima has a notion about who'd manage the tricky job of being a porter the best. When asked by IGN during a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Death Stranding 2 event who from the Metal Gear canon could make the jump over 🤪to delivering across the KNOTS, he named Dr. Hal 'Otacon' Emmerich, tech genius and🎃 Solid Snake's trusted friend.

"Ma𒐪ybe Otacon!" Kojima laughs. "But he won't be able to carry♌ things so much."

Sadly, he's probably right. Physical strength and enduran❀ce are necessary qualities for any good delivery person in the wasteland of Death Stranding, and Otacon doesn't appear to have much of either.

But, he's excellent and solving problems and knows a thing or two about improvising under pressure. Stuck some♚where with BT🐻s hanging around, Otacon would find a way to somehow escape without taking too much damage. Same for Demens, who'd probably be left perplexed by some gadget or other by the military scientist.

Otacon is the kind of guy you want around in a pinch, even if he's not the person you’d like assigned to𝓡 your delivery. Unlike Sam Porter Bridges, Hal's backpack isn't gett♏ing too full. But maybe he's the sensible one in that regard, given how much of Death Stranding you spend picking up and re-Tetris-ing your own overfull pack of goods.

This is all extremely hypothetical, and the Death Stranding games aren't in need of the boost. The second, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, arrives on June 26, taking place predominantly in Mexico and Australia instead of the US. Aside from having whole🤪 other countries and continents to wander, Sam gets more hands on this time, helping communities he encounters in different ways.

As it's a Kojima Productions game, most narrative elements are protected through esoteric teases. There's a talking ventriloquist's dummy, though! Never change, Kojima. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater comes out on August 28, 2025.

Hideo Kojima already has a Death Stranding 3 pitch that could relate to a DS2 plot device, but "I am not going to make it myself"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Deltarune may be one of the most anticipated multi-chapter RPGs ever – yes, even more so than the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy, which is at least based on a game with a widely known story. This sort-of spiritual successor to cult classic Undertale first dropped in 2018, whileꦍ its second chapter didn't arrive until 2021. It's then been an agonizing four-year wait for the next chapter, while the community has gone down rabbit holes of theories.

But creator Toby Fox has spent that time well, rewarding us with not just one but two new chapters for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch – in a package that also serves as th♐e full-priced singularly titled relea🦩se, with subsequent chapters included as free updates. Deltarune is really here, even if we're only currently able to play four of its chapters.

Playing in a band in Deltarune

Fast Facts

Release date: June 5, 2025
Platform(s): PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4
Developer: Toby Fox
Publisher: 8-4, Toby Fox

It's also one of the few indie titles from Nintendo Switch 2's launch line-up, which is perhaps indicative of Fox's star power – as a composer, he has also contributed to the soundtracks of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It's also a perfect fit as, despite Deltarune's PC origins, the game wears its heart on its sleeve as a love letter to the classic ꧑SNES RPG adventures of Nintendo's yesteryear. But more than homage, it carves its own path with memor▨able characters and systems that also means it's not simply a retread of Undertale.

It's not completely essential to have played the 2015 game, since Deltarune isn't a sequel but rather set in a par𝓰allel universe to Undertale's, with some familiar characters and references but in a different context. In a subversion to many RPGs where your protagonist is a vessel for the player, you play a canonical character called Kris, a human child living in an idyllic town, complete with a church, diner, library and school, almost reminiscent of Earthbound. The difference is that rather than being set in fictionalized Americana, this world is populated by diverse monster races living harmoniously among each other, including Kris' mother Toriel, the same-but-not-the-same version of Toriel from Undertale.

Its strength fortunately doesn't lie in references to its parallel predecessor but rather in the new characters Kris encounters as they stumble from their normal school day into the Dark World. This includes Susie, the scary school bully who literally threatens to bite your face off, and a mysterious prince named Ralsei. Together, you become an unlikely trio, the Lightners tasked with sealing dark fountains that have started springing up⛎, in order to save both the worlds of the light and the dark. That may sound like your boilerplate JRPG set-up, but Deltarune's delight comes from setting up these conventions before knocking them down.

Acts of kindness

Someone admires castle town in an over the top way in Deltarune

What felt revolutionary about Undertale was that it was an RPG where you were encouraged not to kill enemies but find non-violent solutions to win a battle. That's a philosophy which carries over to Deltarune, and while it may not feel as refreshing as it might have a decade ago, it still has some new twists. For starters, rather than fighting alone, you have a party, which also gives the battles the side-on view of classic Final Fantasy turn-based battles. Initially however, you have limited control over the hotheaded Susie, who would rather go in swinging her axe. For Undertale fans, it sets up a fascinating conundrum of trying to win a battle non-violently by showing mercy to your enemies, but also trying to preve﷽nt your reluctant ally from harming anyone (at least in the first chapter).

As someone who had played Undertale's pacifist route, I naturally went with a playthrough with the intent of non-violence and never chose to 'fight'. Where some games that engage with these kinds of moralit𓄧y choices can often present pacifism as the boring way to play, Deltarune comes up with so many ideas to make this the preferable option.

Defending in Deltarune

Defense still plays a pivotal role, which, like in Undertale, takes the form of a bullet hell minigame as ♛you move a heart inside a board while dodging enemy projectiles. But what becomes more important is geღtting your fellow party members to 'act'. That however requires a kind of magic gauge called TP that builds up during battles (it also resets after every encounter so you don't have to hoard it). You can increase this by choosing to defend during your turns but also by narrowly evading incoming projectiles, adding a risk/reward element to the bullet hell sections.

What makes these encounters unique is that both acts and bullet boards are often bespoke and contextual to the bizarre enemies, such as lowering a water cooler's guard by having your party chat whi𝓀le gathered around it. Sometimes, acts can affect an enemy's attack pattern to be easier or harder, but often it's just the excuse for a gag that earns a good belly laugh. The board itself can also function in some unpredictable ways, becoming a minigame within the minigame or a novel way to further the plot. Given this was a mechanic seen in Undertale, it's a delight how Fox finds numerous ways to make the act of evading projectiles different for virtually every enemy encounter.

How to shoot in Deltarune

Once you'ꦜve spared an enemy e✃nough times, you'll also recruit them.

It's perhaps because of the novelty and gags that means these encounters are also often only impactful on the first go, and so if you're not engaging in these battles to gain XP, any repeat encounters tend to feel more repetitive than your typical RPG grind, and fl🐈eeing is not an option. There's still an incentive, as once you've spared an enemy enough times, you'll also recruit them, which will see them showing up in your castletown hub in the Dark World. Mo🌟re significant enemies meanwhile will actively help you in your quest to seal the dark fountains.

Occasionally, it feels as if Fox is throwing a bunch of ideas against the wall to see what sticks. A stealth section mostly exists to poke fun at stealth mechanics but remains underwhelming. ജWhile you also eventually get to scale some environments, with the ability to leap across gaps, you're still constricted by the frustrating limitations of til♈e-based traversal. Nonetheless, these are minor quibbles since these only take up a tiny portion of a chapter, while most mechanics are there to serve the narrative, which is really what you're here for.

Character building

San thanks the player in Deltarune

While I shan't be 🎶spoiling Deltarune's story, and there's plenty that happens that will no doubt have you searching fan forums for answers, it's less the grand narrative of the lore that compels me than it is the characters. Susie is, for me, the real heart and soul – a proper diamo🌟nd in the rough. She might be someone I'd normally cross the street to avoid, but over the course of these four chapters, her arc is one of the best as you learn of her vulnerabilities beneath that tough persona and her capacity for kindness, even if she shows it in her own unapologetically brash way.

That's also largely true about each chapter's villain of the week, such as Lancer in the first chapter who tries to foil the Lightners from time to time to prevent you reaching his father the tyrant king, or Tenna in the third chapter who wants to keep your party playing their game show forever. It helps that thes💜e characters are all memorable, goofy and flawed in their own way, to the point that you 🔜come to empathize with them even as you'll eventually have to battle over conflicting goals rather than because they're evil.

Skipping ahead

Robots ask if you can handle this in Deltarune

If you played Deltarune when Chapter 1 first launched on PC as a free demo, you won't be able to carry over the save data if you deci꧙de to buy Chapters 1-4 on a different platform. You however don't need to start from the beginning as you're free to select any chapter. If you start a later chapter without an existing save file, the game gives the benefit of the doubt and canonically assumes you spared and recruited all the enemies in the previous chapters.

Deltarune is just stuffed with personality, which is testament to Fox's laugh-out-loud hilarious writing that's not only conveyed in the text itself but through its delivery of comically timed scrolls and awkward pauses. It's also in the art direction, which retains the crude but charming pixel art established in Undertale but is given a broader palette by main artist and animator Temmie Chang. Even while sticking to a primitive retro look, there's definitely richer use of sprites, color and animations, such as how Kris and Susie change appearances when jumping into the Dark World, which reminds me of crossing into the Metaverse in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Persona 5.

The benefit of Deltarune's episodic structure means each chapter allows the game to explore very different themes on a larger scale than Undertale, all while still being far more digestible than a bloated 3D AAA equivalent (澳✤洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:looking at you, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth). Chapter Two's Cyber City offers more vibrant environments than Chapter One's Card Kingdom, while later chapters take the surprising approach of emulating the kind of pseudo-3D effects popular in the latter half of the 16-bit era. Once ༒your party is sitting down playing a NES-style Zelda clone game within a game while your prerendered-CG host observes, you're past trying to fit Deltarune's influen𓆏ces into any neat category and just enjoying all the broad tapestry of references Fox is pulling together.

Encountering the game show host in Deltarune

Speaking of themes, the catchy chiptune soundtrack is nothing short of incredible, from the battle theme to the main 📖theme that's now permanently stuck in my head. As much as they're enjoyable on loop, some also evolve across chapters, giving a new twist and freshness that also fits with how the narrative develops.

At just over the halfway point, Deltarune has already eclipsed Under🐻tale in length and scope. Even while it remains an unapologetically weird old-school pixelated JRPG, each chapter is a 𝔍new canvas to stretch the meaning of a retro-inspired game, which doesn't have to conform to any rigid rules, style, or logic. The good news is we only have to wait until 2026 for Chapter 5, which is one mystery I'm glad to have resolved before I hop back online to pore over all the possibilities of where Toby Fox will take this epic tale next.

Deltarune chapters 1-4 were 𓃲reviewed on Nintendo Switch 2, with a code provided by the ⛎publisher.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stardew Valley creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has recently been hard at work on his new game, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Haunted Chocolatier – one he now says is even bigger than h🍎is 2016 farm sim.

Revealing as much in a new online , ConcernedApe simply states "the world of Haunted Chocolatier is larger than Stardew Valleyไ" – a fact that I can't quite wrap my own head around, seeing as I've clocked well over 1,0🧔00 hours in Stardew Valley alone on just Steam. I'm not alone, either, apparently, with fans replying to his post that they "cannot wait" to play Haunted Chocolatier and are now "soooooo excited" for it.

Despite the fact that the upcoming game's world being "larger" than ConcernedApe's has boggled my mind, I suppose it makes sense – after all, Haunted Chocolatier has technically been in production now for quite some time since its 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:2021 reveal, in which the developer said he felt "more confident than ever in being able to bring an idea to life." While he admitted he had 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"not touched Haunted Chocolatie𓂃r in a long t🅰ime" in 2024, things are back on track.

That's because ConcernedApe first wanted to wrap up his work on Stardew Valley, its big 1.6 update, and subsequent patches. At the tail end of April, though,♈ he said he's "committed to not working on Stardew Valley until I'm done with Haunted Chocolatier" now, which means development on the new sim is finally fully kicking into gear – and while there's still no solid release date, except for hopes of launching by 2030, it sounds like it'll be massive.

Not only is the world apparently "larger," but ConcernedApe has also previously admitted that Haunted Chocolatier "has to be better" than Stardew Valley – a tall order con꧒sidering the fact that the farming sim currently impressively boasts a perfect 10/10 score on Steam with "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews. As a longtime fan myself, however, I'll be expecting nothing short of an incredible experi🍎ence come Haunted Chocolatier's release.

It's "more of an action RPG," but Eric Barone says Haunted Chocolatier is still "a life sim" and "similar to Stardew Valley in many ways" but with more "dark and mysterious" vibes.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Let's face it; rebranding your longstanding, hugely popular online product with a big letter 'X' is not always a smart move. Apropos of nothing however, I'll go on to say that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege X has set itself up to expand its userbase rather than decimate it, combat toxicity rather than encourage it, and overall it's the best it's ever been rather than the worst it's ever been. This is one X that does give it to us.

That big ol' X is a nod to the fact that the game is now 10 years old. With 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Rainbow Six Siege marking the anniversary by going free-to-play, there will be a lot of people playing for the first time. The use of the word 'siege' in the title hints at the nature of the cor🌼e modes that t♈hey'll find – both attack and defense centered around an objective or two (an area to defend, a pair of bombs, or a hostage) within a building. A prep phase sees the attacker team sending in ground drones to find the objective and identify defenders, while the defenders can reinforce (or blow holes in) walls, set traps, and choose their positions. Then, the siege begins.

The game has seen a lot of cha𝓰nges over the years even before Rainbow Six Siege X, but some fundamentals remain the same. For one thing, each character – or, rather, Operator – has a unique ability or gadget, and is permanently assigned to attack or defense. Fuze has a device that can shoot explosives through breakable surfaces, for example, while Castle can block doorways and windows with bulletproof barricades rather than the standard, flimsier, wooden ones. It's also important to note that, a decade on, your bullets and explosives are still just as deadly to your teammates as they are to your enemies.

X Education

Fast facts

Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
Publisher: Ubisoft
Platform(s): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, as well as PS4 and Xbox One without Dual Front
Release date: June 10, 2025

Now, could you do me a favor, and play a record scratch sound effect in your head? Thanks. We really need to take some time out to focus on the friendly fire element. The Rainbow S🀅ix Siege X refresh will see returning players as well as new ones. Perhaps you, like me, abandoned the original a number of years ago due to the omnipresent toxicity rampaging through the community. One of the most visible elements of this toxicity was intentional teamkills, which would be seen on one or both teams – in my experience, at least – in almost every single match. I'm pleased t൩o report, therefore, that this behavior now seems to be relatively rare.

Although put into place long before the X refresh, the reputation system will be a powerful reason for many lapsed players to return. It's a transparent system that issues positive or negative points depending on behavior, with rewards and punishments doled out according to your current reputation status (Dishonorable, Disruptive, Respectable, Esteemed, and Exemplary). Don't worry about being punished for the occasional (and inevitable) accidental teamkill, or friendly gadget destruction. It's annoying to pick up negative points for an accident, but the way the system is set up, in order to be demoted you'll have to be going really heavy on the teamkills and❀ n❀asty chat. It's an imperfect system, but its positive impact is self-evident and very, very important.

There are still, um, enthusiastic members of the community to be encountered, but so far I've found it's just edgy trash talk that can be fixed with muting and hitting the off switch on text chat. The addition of a long-needed communication wheel ensures that you'll still be able to help and warn your team if chat isn't your thing, too. The core experience blossoms as a result. Now, you're free to concentrate on the fact that caution is key, as it's no exaggeration to say that you can so⛄metimes plummet from maximum health t✤o death within a single second (maybe two if the opponent's aim is a little off). Every match is tense, each kill a thrill. No longer do I fear my teammates as much as (or more than) the players on the opposing team.

Not only do 🦄they look a little prettier, new destructible elements have been added.

Maps get a subtle overhaul too, with tweaked versions of Bank, Clubhouse, Border, Chalet, and Kafe available at launch. Not only do they look a little prettier𓃲, new destructible elements have been added. Gas pipes will spit flame before eventually exploding, while damaged fire extinguishers can block visibility. Some pipes are strategically placed so that the jet of flame will temporarily block a window or doorway, though you can simply wait it out. A more impac𝔉tful change is that Operators now clearly cast shadows, a new element to keep in mind when sneaking around those tight corners.

Make it rainbow

Smooth operators

Key art for the operator Clash in Rainbow Six Siege X, showcasing the shock pulse shield

Operators are balanced well across both attack and defense, with some mirrored abilities. Both sides, for example, have ones who can ghost e-surveillance, or provide bulletproof shiel🎶ding. Unlock order is vital.

Clash – the only defender armed with a shield – sees a rework wit🤡h the launch of Rainbow Six Siege X. Previously, her body-height electro shield was armed with a shock pulse that would slow and damage opponents, and switching to a weapon took a few seconds that could feel like a few minutes. Most of this is still true, with two significant changes. Firstly, she now has the option of setting the shield down like a portable barricade (which can be charged through), leaving her free to move and shoot behind it, while the shock blast can be activated remotely. The second change is that while the shock still slows enemies, it no longer damages them. This is indicative of a wider change to how electricity works.

Now, electricity treats all players the same. It deals no damage to either team regardless of the source, meaning that electrified barbed wire (for example) can no longer be used to c﷽hip away at opponent health. Electrified reinforced walls will still destroy any breaching gadgets applied to them, and electrified barbed wire will still destroy incoming drones that pass through it, but it's no longer an element that can support bullets and explosions for player damage.

The major addition that Rainbow Six Siege X brings is a brand new mode, Dual Front. This is 6v6 rather than 5v5, takes place in the biggest map to date (District), and – although it's an attack and defense mode – there are respawns. The twist here is that both teams are attacking and defending simultaneously, with victory handed to the side that captures all three opposing sectors in sequence first. Thওe hope seems to be that this new mode will snare players attracted by the free-to-play nature of the X update. In addition to the inclusion of respawns, equipment supplies will slowly regenerate over time, available Operators are a rotating selection of 35 – everybody has the same pool of defenders and attackers – and, while dead, you can spawn a temporary drone on a teammate you're spectating to support with recon.

When in drone

A wide view of the District map in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege X, used for the new Dual Front mode

District is an excellent map. The multi-level buildings have the imposing corridors, threatening corners, and destructible walls, floors, and ceilings that you'll find in the core modes. The outside areas offer some limited cover, but are infused with a sense of vulnerability as you make your way from one building to the next. A🅘s outside areas are now important to both teams, sniping spots have been scattered around. There's even a roof you can get on top of; but, this being Rainbow Six Siege, there are multiple angles you could be attacked from yourself up there.

Although each Operator has been deliberately calibrated for play in a claustrophobic environment, they all work excellently in Dual Front. In part, this is due to the fact that the primary task – capturing each of the enemy's three zones in turn while defending your own – still follows the rule of 'static objective within a building'. The ability toౠ select a new Operator on respawn, meanwhile, allows you to adapt to any specific enemy Oper💜ator giving you a hard time, or change tactics when it becomes clear that your team needs more emphasis on attack or defense.

A top down view of action in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege X's new Dual Front mode, on the District map

It's a carefully designed experience that mostly works well, but I do think that new players looking for a casual free-to-play experience will bounce off Dual Front with record-breaking velocity. For one thing, the 30 second wait to respawn can be agonizing. The temporary drone gimmick is a great idea that softens the blow, but the speed with which you can be killed can be pretty dispiriting when you've just spent 30 seconds jogging to your object♒ive.

Movement is another thing. It's fairly slow and heavy, but that's by no means a bad thing; it's an important part of Rainbow Six's identity. So too, however, is the fact that it has The Loudest Footsteps In Gaming. Everybody stomps around like an angry teenager storming up the stairs to their bedroom to play My Chemical Romance at maximum volume. As a result, if you don't have the patience to slowly sneak the greater-than-usual distance to your destination, an enemy lying in wait will hear you coming long before they see you. This is something Rainbow Six veteꦗrans will know and accept, but it'll be much harder for new players to spend the time adapting to.

Rai💮nbow Six Siege now finds itself in the best position it's ever been in for player onboarding.

Regardless of the mode, the sheer volume of Operators Rainbow Six Siege X now includes means that new players will have a lot of learning to do. Questions may include "How did they know where I was?", "Why did 𓆉that window explode?", "Why isn't my device working?", and of course, the classic "What the [expletive removed] just happened?".

Nonetheless, with Rainbow Six Siege X, the game now finds itself in the best position it💖's ever been in for player onboarding. In addition to challenges to unlock Operators and modes, there are modes to familiarise yourself with the many maps and weapons outside of PvP, and each Operator now has a page with simple, easy to understand tutorials explaining their unique features to help you decide whether to spend your hard-earned Renown (or hard-purchased Credits) on them. And, of course, now you can start playing for free.

Rainbow Six Siege X manages to provide something for everyone. Existing players get a new mode, a character rework, and multiple small but meaningful improvements. Lapsed players will find an experience that's instantly familiar, yet noticeably improved in some important ways. New players get the benefit of 10 years wo꧟rth of development for free… so long as they have the patience for the more hardcore elements, and a willingness to slowly learn what over 70 Operators can do and how they interact with one another. WIth a refined experience and the promise of an expanded playerbase, Rainbow Six Siege X just might keep going for another 10 years.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Xbox boss Phil Spencer says the recently unveiled 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:ROG Xbox Ally handheldꦍ represents the closest collaboration between Microsoft𒁃's Windows team and its gaming division he's seen in his three decades with the company.

Over the weekend, Microsoft fina🅠lly lifted the lid on its long-rumored gaming han♉dheld device during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase. The device comes in two variants; the ROG Xbox Ally and the souped ✨up ROG Xbox Ally X, both being roughly comparable to the non-Xbox branded ROG Ally and ROG Ally X in terms of specifications, although the Xbox Ally has custom grips, buttons, and a dedicated Xbox button and interface that automatically boots up when you start up the system.

Given that it's a Windows-based system, it makes sense that the gaming team at Xbox is working very closely with Microsoft's Windows team, and Spencer said in a of the of𝕴ficial Xbox podcast that the two groups have essentially been operating as a single unit while making the system.

"This is the tightest collaboration I've seen between the gaming organization and the Windows team in my three decades at the company," said S𒁃pencer. "It's really amazing to see the teams focusing on opportunities to make the experience better, and working really as one development team to realize that."

Despite Microsoft hyping up its handhe𓆏ld as a uniquely Xbox experience, it's still a Windows-based handheld PC, which means it's an open platform that lets you use whatever available apps an♍d storefronts you wan🍨t.

Still, Spencer said "there's some uniqueness then wh🌳en you're supporting an open platform but you want it to work as appliance-like, as a game console, and I think that's where these two teams coming together can really create something great together."

So, what makes it an Xbox device specifically, beyond the branding? Spencer touted Xbox's nearly 25 years of experience ma꧃king dedicated game consoles as something that'll give ROG Xbox Ally users th🌼e "freedom of Windows to use the storefronts and applications that you want to use but it feels like a device that's purpose built."

He also added that there's work being done "under the hood" to address things like bဣattery life, interruptions, and performance that'll further distinguish Xbox's handheld from the existing options.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Hol🔯low Knight: Silksong sure was mentioned a lot at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest, but it didn't deign to show up, with developer Team Cherry only reiterati𒊎ng via a timely Discord♛ message that the game will be out befor🔯e the holiday season.

The long-awaited Metroidvania sequel did, however, briefly appear via gameplay footage shown on the newly announced 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:ROG Xbox Ally, raising more than one🐽 eyebrow among the f🐷atigued Hollow Knight community.

"I hear it's gonna play Silksong when🏅 it comes out," Official Xbox Podcast host Jeff Rubenstein tells Spencer , rounding out a discussion on the Xbox Ally reveal.

"That's right, that's right," Spencer begins. "Thank you. That was a good partnership, to kind of feed them in🔥 and have them play a rཧole in our hardware lineup."

Spencer stops the Silksong train then and there. Xbox has been burned on Silksong hype before, famously indicating three years ago that the game would be ꦬout within a year, but has grown more reserved as Team Cherry's lips grew tighter and its development pipel♔ine stretched ever longer.

The Silksong army, burrowing through even the thinnest Steam backend updates like termites through wood, has kept a close record of every tease, trace, and theory around, and a lot of them do orbit Xbox. I can't definitively say that Spencer spoke with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the expectations of the Skong faith🎉f🅰ul weighing on his nerves, but he was certainly quick toꦡ talk abouꦛt what are now the most commonplace games of all time instead.

"But it is really about playing the Windows games that you wꦺanna play," he says of the Xbox Ally. "So if you're a big Roblox player, if you're a Fortnit🥀e player, if you're a Minecraft player, if you love Game Pass, we want to make sure the way you've built your library as a player, and the games that you want to go play, are available on this device and that they play incredibly well."

ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X "have access to all the games you can play on Windows PCs," so you'll be able to play PlayStation games like The Last of Us and God of War.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Continuing his 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 cleanup, CEO Ian Proulx of Splitgate 2 developer 1047 Games released a new video explaining and apologizing for澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: 💞the "division" stirred by his comments during the summer event's big showcase, which saw him criticize the sta൩t🍸e of the FPS genre while wearing a "Make FPS Great Again" that has proven controversial, to say the least.

This ♛video follows additional comments from Proulx stressing that the hat was "not a political stat♒em🍎ent," and reiterating that "the state of multiplayer FPS games is tragically stale."

, Proulx says he's gotten "a lot of questions about what's up with the hat, why'd you wear i🐠t, what was the intent? I want to start by explaining myself."

To begin, Proulx laments that "it is really freakin' hard, as an ♚independent studio, to break through the noise. You go to these award shows – we saw it at [The Game Awards]. We had this great trailer, and there's 50 other great trailers, and it didn't really have an impact."

For Splitgate 2's "biggest stage, coming out of beta, we needed something to grab attention," he adds. Apparently that's where 🧸this hat and FPS messaging came in: "The honest tr🧔uth is, we tried to think of something and this is what we came up with."

This strategy certainly got Splitgate 2 some attention, but not in the way the devs had planned, it seems. "We did not intend for this to be taken in any political way whatsoever," Proulx repeats. "And I'm not an idiot; obviously I knew there would be some level of controversy. But we really saw this as a meme that was kind of stating our truth, which is: we do want to improve this genre. We are disappointed with the state of t𒁏he genre. We took it as a meme that we thought would not be nearly as received the way it was, negatively received as the way it was." (I've left some minor flubbed words in these quotes uncorrected for exact clarity.)

Many people in the Splitgate 2 community, to say nothing of countless folks watching the game from a distance or simply tuning into Summer Game Fest, very much did not🅘 take it as a meme, hence the protracted apology arc.

Proulx continues: "So I want to apologize, and genuinely, you can pretend – you don't have to believe me. But the truth is I am sorry. And the reason I'm sorry is because of what this has done to the community. The most important thing to me right now is: I want to have an amazing community. That is the reason that I built 1047, that's the reason I love my job ... And I hate seeing divisio🦋n. And that's what I'm seeing right now, on both sides. There's division in the community, and for that I am truly sorry."

Splitgate 2

It is worth remembering that, even 🌄on the night of Summer Game Fest following Splitgate 2's big announcement, the game itself seemed to be doing pretty well on the back of the big update that, to some, was overshadowed by the tone of the game's reveal segment. 1047 said they were seeing their "highest-ever" server traffic, and in , the Splitgate 2 account said "our player base has more than tripled since Beta. Specifically, we've had a ton of recent success on console."

At the time of writing, Splitgate 2 has 12,808 reviews and, according to SteamDB, 22,853 concurrent players (just below its 25,785 peak four days ago) . Naturally, that doesn't include those console players. Its Steam reviews ar๊e 💙"Mixed" at 62% positive.

Still, this whole stink was demonstrably stinky enough to warrant multiple public apologies from Proulx, who says this🅰 video ought to be the last one.

"Again, I'll reiterate, I do stand by the intent of this," he concludes. "The intent truly is, take it at face value, we do want to improve this genr🍬e. We do feel that the genre is in a bad state, and we want to make FPS games as amazing as possible. But I also understand that it's not just about intent, it's about impact. And the platform that we have had has had a negative impact, and for that I'm truly sorry. I wish things were different and I appreciate all the feedback. That's all I got, guys. But I wanted to put this out there. I hope you'll stick with us, I hope you'll keep the feedback coming. For now, we're just gonna go back to listening and focusing on the game and nothing else. Thank you."

Splitgate 2 director says it was "news to me" that the FPS launched with $80 bundles, blames former monetization head "who happened to come from Call of Duty."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Hideo Kojima's name is perhaps as synonymous with brilliant game design as it is with his inventive, out-of-the-box thinking, and according to the man himself, the depths of his penchant for weirdnes𓂃s truly knows no bounds.

Although pretty much all of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Kojima games we know about are characterized by some degree of defiance to conventionꦫal game design and storytelling, Kojima recently told he has even weirder ideas he wishes he could see through, but because he's become so personally involved with everyone at Kojima Productions, he won't dare try to follow up on all of them due to th🍨e potential for failure.

"I feel nervous. I feel rushed. I still have a lot of things I want to do – that I need to do," Kojima said. "I thought I could do anything if I was independent, but the r♋eality is that I can’t. I always think of other, more weird stuff to make. But if I do that, and it doesn’t sell, my studio will go bankrupt. I know all the staff. I know the families of the staff. I have this burden on my shoulders."

Kojima became seriously sick during the Covid-19 pandemic, and he's been candid about how the experience gave him a new perspective on mortality and the ways he feels he should spend his finite time in this realm. It's part of the reason he came up with the PS5 exclusive action-espionage game Physint, which back in May he said came about because he "realize🔜d that a lot of people wanted me to make something like⛦ Metal Gear."

Thankfully, it does seem like going independent afforded Kojima just enough creative freedom to deliver on some pretty Kojima-coded visions, including Death Stranding, the upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the aforementioned Physint, and my personal most anticipated, "one of a kind" horror game, OD. Still, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious about what even more exp🦄erimental ideas he has floating around in his head.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> I'd like to start this 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Ninja Gaiden 4 preview by recalling a story from my misspent youth. I know, I know; who cares – but stick with me here. Back in 2004, developer Team Ninja was 𝓀entrusted with rebooting and reviving ♐the Ninja Gaiden franchise. I was drawn to the blood and the brutality displayed in screenshots printed in glossy magazine spreads, and wanted to experience it for myself. I spent my allowance on renting the game for two days from Blockbuster. (For those of you under the age of 30, this is something we used to do in an era predating Steam sales, PlayStation Plus, and Game Pass). I was forced to return the game having never beaten Murai, the first boss. Embarrassing.

I tell you this now only because this the memory was prised from its vault by Masakazu 💙Hirayama, producer and director at Team Ninja, and Yuji Nakao, producer and director at PlatinumGames, as the duo inquired about my history with the series, ahead of getting my hands-on with its first new mainline installment in a over a decade. The pair laughed, and told me to enj𝐆oy myself. By the end of the hour-long session, I was met with a round of applause from the development team. Also embarrassing.

Raining Blood

I later discovered that after a day of overseeing playtests, I was one of only a few players that day to best the demo's boss. I'm not surprised there was such a low-rate of completion, because Ninja Gaiden 4 is absolutely, gloriously brutal. A wondrous menage🍸rie of blood, blades, and bastard-hard combat combat encounters. Still, my self-aggrandizing has a point here beyond mere ego-inflation: there's something so gratifying about seeing this series back to what appears to be its best.

When Ninja Gaiden launched as 🦂an Xbox exclusive two decades ago, it was among the most challenging, enthralling action games of its era. When FromSoftware's Demon's Souls landed five years later, everything changed. The way we understand and engage with difficulty in video games, altered forever. Hirayama-san tells me that Ninja Gaiden 4 is as much a pushback against this culture shift a🎉s it is an opportunity to bring about the long overdue return of a legendary franchise.

"The conversation around action games has changed quite a lot since the last Ninja Gaiden game. Soulslikes have taken center stage, but this is Ninja Gaiden. It's the first game in the series in over 10 years, 🍬and Ninja Gaiden is still all about high speed, pure action gameplay. So we are going against the trend in that way, all while injecting our own distinct game design sensibilities. This is a game from PlatinumGames – it has style, it's dynamic, and responsive. This is an evo♓lution of what has come before, which was something we have been very deliberate about in this game."

"The conver🧔sation around action game🃏s has changed quite a lot since the last Ninja Gaiden game"

Now, I should say that I have gone back to Ninja Gaiden (and the games which followed it) in the years since that disastrous weekend so long ago. And there are exceptionally simple things that Ninja G🦩aiden 4 accomplishes which reconnect me with Ryu Hayabusa's past adventures, even as a new protagonist takes center stage here. There's satisfaction in chaining wall-jumps. A coolness inherent in the way bloodsplatter is flicked off from blades when young ninja Yakumo is left idle. Fun to be found in the total evisceration of enemy soldiers. Body bifurcation on an impossibly, implausibly-enjoyable scale.

Light Attack [X]. Heavy Attack [Y]. Two inputs which, when combined correctly, lead to total annihilation. There's an undoubtedly strong focus on first-party 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Xbox Series X games for 2025 out there right now – Black Ops 7, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Gears of War: Reloaded, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Grounded 2, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2, andಞ Keeper. But there's a part of me that truly wonder🌜s whether Ninja Gaiden 4 is quietly the one to watch out for.

There's a simplicity inherent to its design ethos that I find compelling. A very real, very basic joy to be found in slicing waves of enemies apart limb-by-limb. And, really, what more could you want from a new Ninja Gaiden game in 2025? I just h🐻ope the final game comes packed with the sort of boss battles that have the power to ruin entire weekends when it launches on October 21 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Fortnite Supernova Gear is a collective term for some of the fresh guns and items that have been added to the battle royale, but this may be causing a degree of confusion as it isn't a term used in relation to specific weapons within the game itself. However, it is used in the wording of several 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fortnite quests that you need them for, so understandably it helps if you're aware of what you should be trying to find. With that in mind, here's everything you need to know about Supernova Gea꧅r in Fortnite and where to get it.

What is Supernova Gear in Fortnite?

Supernova Gear in Fortnite is comprised of some of the fresh guns and items that were added for Season 3, as part of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fortnite new weapons drop. Specifically, this gear c✱onsists of the superhero equipment that includes:

  • Bass Boost
  • Killswitch Revolvers
  • Myst Gauntlets
  • Tracking Visor

Naturally, for quests that involve dealing damage specifically with Supernova Gear, the Bass Boost isn't much help due to its low damage output and the Tracking Visor has no damage output at all. However, forﷺ other assignments they can be used to prime yourself before switching to regular weapons to deal the necessary damage within a certain amount of time.

Where to get Fortnite Supernova Gear

Fortnite Supernova Gear can generally be found around the island, as both floor loot or in Chests and Hero Caches, as well as purchased from certain 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Fortnite characters in exchange for gold bars. However, the easiest way to get it is to head to the Supernova Acade🦩my POI, found to the north of the island, and search around the buildings. Not only are there Academy Stands that will deposit Supernova Gear when interacted with, but as your Hero Rank increases you can also unlock the secret tech labs in the basement that have even moℱre Supernova Gear for you to claim.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> It seems Lies of P is getting a debuff in the𓆉 near future. Further support is planned for Neowiz's Soulslike, now that Overture is out in the world, and included among the updates is a reduction in difficulty, as it’s not quite balanced how the dev team would like.

Overture arrived by surprise last week, causing a flurry of ⛎renewed interest in Lies of P, which was first release♍d in 2023. Over the last several days, Neowiz has been gathering suggestions, leading to a message from director Jiwon Choi.

"Among all the feedback, we🥃 are paying the closest attention to the combat experience," he says. "We identified areas that did not turn out quite as we intended. Therefore, we are reviewing various adjustments, including difficulty reduction."

Whatever rebalancing goes on, don't expect to see it in the coming days. Jiwon emphasizes how❀ integral combat is to an experience such as Lies of P, thus any alterations w🐻ill be scrutinized heavily before getting rolled out.

Overture itself brought a significant difficulty curve, with even experienced players choosing to run away and avoid certain encounters because of the headache. A certain edge is expect🌳ed for this kind of action-RPG, but it seems to be dialed up a little more than anyone wants.

The first major DLC for the game, Overture adds more plot and the usual smattering of enemies and areas to check out. E♈ven the first area is getting and chatter on r/LiesofP, as people wrestle with the horrors that have been summoned.

A direct sequel has been underway since late 2023, but there's no word on that just yet. From the looks of it, 🌜Neowiz has a few more ideas for the first game before the next installment takes over.

If you're considering diving in, our guide to every Lies of P best build for all character types might prove vital.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Helldivers 2 creates some of the most cinematic, nerve-wracking moments in any modern shooter. 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Battlefront 2 and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Battlefield series would be💧 close comparisons. One of Arrowhead's designers has taken to Reddit to explain the philosophies that guided the team: "the tingle in the ass𒈔" and "a trainwreck in slow-motion."

A Reddit account with the username AHGS_Designer_Patrik, likely Patrik Lasota, states that these were the two "🐼guiding stars" that made the game what it is today.

"The first one we jokingly (and to serious peoples despair) called 'The tingle in the ass,'" Lasota writes. "What we mean is the type of mome꧑nts that make you lean in, focus, and tense your body in anticipation of things going poorly."

from

Lasota gives the example of having to input a 𒅌stratagem code while in the middle of a fight. A🍬 lot of games would let you call them in from a radial menu, but not Helldivers 2. How many times have you messed up and had to start over, or even called in the wrong thing? It makes fights way more tense.

Another example given is how "A lot of things toss you around 💫o♋r almost kill you, instead of just outright killing you, giving you the time to think 'oh shit' before dying (or surviving)."

As for the "trainwreck in slow motion," that's all to do with the enemy and combat design. "A lot of effort went into ensuring that the combat doesn't escalate too fast, and is recov💃erable at those points," Lasato explains. "We don't want the player to feel suddenly overwhelmed by the amount of enemies or pressure, but to feel their control of the situation slipping slowly. And once it has gotten out of control, still be a situation that is recoverable."

Some of my favorite moments come from feeling like my squadmates and I are about to be overwhelmed, only for us to sur⛦vive by the skin of our teeth. It's a very fine balance that Helldivers 2 manages to strike.

Arrowhead does this by balancing "how many enemies we spawn with the movement speed of them," so yཧou always feel like you're getting outmatch🍌ed, even though you can normally just run away.

Think about all that when you're 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:defending ♋planets from the Terminids in the new Major Order.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Playing Gears of War on a PlayStation consoౠle, DualSense's Impulse Triggers whirring underfinger as a Lancer Chainsaw Bayonet churns through flesh and bone, is a surreal experience. But joining a friend who is on Xbox Series X for a cross-platform co-op session? Quite honestly,🐟 it's quietly revolutionary.

When Gears made its debut two decades ago, the idea that players across rival console ecosystems would one day be able to play cooperatively and competitively together online was implausible. Cross-platform play may be ubiquitous today, but it has only been eight years since companies like Epic, Psyonix, and Xbox fought to change the status quo. And as for the idea that Gears of War, a flagship Xbox exclusive, would ever appear on PlayStation wasn't🅠 just implausible, it was laughable.

But everything changes with time.

What's old is new again

Gears of War Reloaded screenshot showing Marcus and Dom

Having now sampled 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Gears of War: Reloaded on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X handheld, I have to say that I'm impressed by the quality of remaster developer The Coalition (in partners🤪hip with studios Sumo Digital and Disbelief) has put together here. 4K assets, remastered textures, and HDR support underpin a transformed campaign experience which runs at an impossibly smooth 60fps on all platforms. Both the original Gears and the 2015 Ultimate Edition remaster, which underpins Reload's design, were locked to 30fps. You've never experienced this adventure quite like this.

"Gears has always been a visual and technical showcase. It was important for us to carry on that tradition with Reloaded," says Kate Rayner, technical director at The Coalition. "It's running in 4K. We've doubled the framerate of the campaign, and doubled the framerate ofꦏ the multiplayer up-to 120 frames per-second. It's now a native HDR game. There are augmentations to the lighting quality, the shadows, and the reflect𒅌ions. We're doing things with Reloaded that just weren't possible on the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One, and so there's this extra level of fidelity beyond higher pixel counts and framerates."

I haven't played the original Gears of War campaign since 2006 – my experience with Ultimate Edition limited to multiplayer sessions. What really surprised me about getting hands-🍸on with Gears of War: Reloaded is just how well that campaign holds up. "It's got good bones," as Rayner would put it. For those of you reading who weren't there for it at the time, it's difficult to overstate just how important Gears was when it launched. The best looking video game on Xbox 360, yes,💫 but one which took the movement model pioneered by Resident Evil 4 and revolutionized it – third-person shooters have been defined by their waist-high cover bona fides ever since.

"We're do🔯ing things with Reloaded that👍 just weren't possible on the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One"

The setup The Coalition has put together for me here sees an online co-op session with the televisions hooked up side-by-side. There's another player sitting beside me – one of us with an Xbox Wireless Controller in hand, the other a DualSense – it isn't long before we're locked into a nostalgia trip. We're sliding between cover and eviscerating Locust with overtorqued sh𒈔ots, closing E-holes with grenades and picking each other up. 2006 has never looked, or felt this good. This session highlighted just how exceptional of a co-op game Gears can be.

While I ce🍬rtainly remember Gears of War being a 'bro game', in retrospect it really is exceptionally silly. Within minutes we were repeating character barks and laughing at outrageous objective conditions over voice chat. While there are still a lot of questions surrounding Microsoft Gaming's decision to bring its most iconic franchises to PlayStation, I do like the idea that a generation of PS3 and PS4 owners could be about to experience something that they've never been able to access. And that Xbox Series X players can be right there with them to guide the way.

You know, fun is a difficult thing to define. For every individual player, a video game either is or it isn't. But cooperative Gears of War (online or in splitscreen, both of which Reloaded supports) is objectively fun. That was true in 2006. It was still true in 2015ཧ. And it remains true in 2025. Very few franchises have stood the test of time in this way, even fewer with a first installment so enjoyable to play 20 years later. That's those good bones for you, sure, but also a reflection of the exceptional work The Coalition has put into these remastered efforts. And with multiplayer beta weekends set to kick off on June 13, I'm excited to 💧spoil some fun for others if my wallbouncing muscle memory will kick back into gear.

Gears of War Reloaded is getting several weekend-long betas for pre-order buyers "to really test at scale the cross-platform play experience" and "make sure that the servers are ready for big numbers"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Fans of Hideo Kojima got a bit of a jumpscare today as his official Twitter account shared a n🧔ew interview titled "The life and death of Hideo Kojima," but rest assured, the Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid mastermind is totally fine.

In the excellent new , Kojima gets deep as he discusses his fears about not having enough time in his life to create everything he wants, with him saying: "What I am most afraid of is time. I am afraid of dying and h🏅aving dementia. I am afraid of forgetting things when I get old. I am afraid that I won't even realize what I am forgetting."

The title makes a lot of sense, but without a caption or further elaboration from Kojima as he shared it, ꦛyou can understand why a few people wer🍌e caught off guard by his post. As one fan so eloquently , "my heart sank to my ass for a split second."

"Don't you ever scare me like this again," another begs, sharing a delightful edit of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Death Stranding 2 protagonist Sam Porter Bridges giving Kojima a little kiss on the top of hi🎃s head, which I've got to ꦅsay has really amused me.

Seriously, though, it's hard not to feel for Kojima and his desperation to continue creating. He's spoken publicly before about how 🅺falling ill during the COVID-19 pandemic and then turning 60 changed his perspective on life, and reflecting on his health scare now, he says: "I feel nervous. I fe💯el rushed. I still have a lot of things I want to do – t𝄹hat I need to do."

Part of that is seemingly because of games taking so long to make, as he says🥃, "I'd feel more relieved if I could make a game in a year," explaining: "If you think about 10 years, you can do three g🐓ames. You have to make a decision. You're always thinking, 'What is correct?'"

The good news for us (and see⛄mingly, Kojima too) is that we don't have long to wait now until his next game, with Death Stranding 2 se🦩t to launch on PS5 on June 26.

Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima is passing ideas onto his staff for after he dies, but he doesn't want them to copy him, because they "will go out of business": "I am not going to pass the baton to anyone"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> I'd hate to be the guy who releases a kart racing game months after 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mario Kart World, but Sonic the Hedgehog's dad Takashi Iizuka isn't phased, and says Mario's newest game is a differen💫t beast from Sonic✱ Racing: CrossWorlds.

Speaking to GamesRadar+ at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025, Iizuka admits he hasn't yet had a go of the Switch 2 racer, but "from the vid𓆏eos, it looks like Nintendo did a good job of putting in a lot of fun, so it's mo🥂re of like an action game. I see a lot of that coming through."

And to be fair, some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:wild tech that players are pulling off in Mario Kart does have the vibes of an action game.

But as for Sonic, the team at Sega is going for a di𒊎fferent vibe. "Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds game is different in that it was made by the Sega arcade racing team along with the Sonic Team" Iizuka says, adding "the focus really is on racing and on that competitive play."

He also speaks about the central mechanic of CrossWorlds in which you travel between diffe༒rent realms mid-race, "having the travel rings kind of change up the race every time you race. So even if yoꦗu're playing the same course, you're going to have a different experience." He adds: "And there's something really different in the kart racing genre that we think everyone's going to get really excited about."

Iizuka also talked about cross-platform play being important to the team (something that was used as 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a dig at "another kart racing game" during its Summer Game Fest reveal). "So cross platform play is in 🥃there, and you can go ahead and race and have that competitive experience against anyone on any platform. That really makes it exciting."

ꩲPlus, Sonic Racing has Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza and is rumored to be getting SpongeBob down the line, so suddenly that Cow isn't looking as co𝕴ol as before.

Sadly, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dune: Awakening ܫisn't meant to allow such tomfoolery, but where there's spice🌺, there's a way.

The MMO survival game just fully launched to the public, and players are already finding ways to sit atop the Shai-Hulud when traversing the barren sands. Those who pre-ordered got access on June 5, giving them a small runway in buiꦦlding their bases and understanding these fearsome creatures.

On the official subreddit, people have been posting adventures. It's easier than you might think to pull 🐠off: goad the beast towards you, and when it approaches from a direct angle, boost up over the head and land on the long▨, scaly body. Simple!

from

It's awkward in execution, since you’re really not meant to be able to d🍷o it, but very possible nonetheless. More posts have🍒 appeared of players managing to take after the Fremen and harness some sand power. The chance for glitching is high, but the reward is incredible because, well, you’re riding around on a gigantic worm in the middle of a desert planet. What greater joy is there?

Developer Funcom has been clear for months that it's not a formal mechanic, though some polished version of the mechanic could be added later. Currently, it’s ▨just you awkwardly standing as the worm burrows around, with no in-game acknowledgement or bells and whistles here whatsoever.

It's worth noting that if you're considering giving this a try, the wo♋rms are a malevolent force. You lose all the equipment you have on you, forever, if you get eaten by one. Avoidance is the safe option here. But sometimes you just want to let out your inner Paul Atreides, so yဣou do you.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Halo could be making a comeback "very so♕on," according to a well-known dataminer in the Halo community… oh, and it's for a PS5 game.

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo Infinite will be four years old by the end of this year, and Microsoft has been suspiciously quiet about what used to be its marquee franchise (now that it owns Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, it's no competition). Other than 澳洲幸运5开꧋奖号码历史查询:343 Industries rebranding i๊tself Halo Studios last year, there hasn't been a whiff of a new game and considering how long Microsoft games take from reveal to release these days (I can't believe Fable wasn't at that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase either), I'm sure many assꦍumed it'd be a while before we see 🧔Master Chief again.

Well, there's been nothing official anyway, as whisperings of a new release of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Halo: Combat Evolved (either another remaster, or a full-blown remake) have been part of the rumor mill for a while. But after the Xbox Games Showcase ended without a trace of Halo – outside of a brief tease about "a classic that's been with us since the beginning" comi🐼ng in 2026 from Phil Spencer – the evidence started piling up.

However, Halo dataminer "gruntdotapi" has that a Halo game has now appeared and tha✃t it is specifically pegged to be a PS5 game, with no mention of a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version to be found. The user also posted that it has a new ID, ruling out the chance of it being a previously existing release like the Master Chief Collection or Halo Infinite.

While gruntdotapi doesn't have an ETA of a release date, this, combined with Phil Spencer hinting something Halo-related is on the way, leads me to believe we'll be getting this rumoured CE remaster sometime in early 2026. That or Spencer was hinting at the return of a REAL classic like Blinx the Time-Sweeper.

You simply will not guess the main character of the Psychonauts studio and Brutal Legends art director's new mind-bending adventure.

Just like the last Major Order,🥂 which was to liberate four different planets from the Automatons, this latest decree will see us split across the stars, fighting on multiple fronts. It's an effective way to divide our attention and♏ make these battles harder to win. After all, the Galactic War is no fun if we're winning it all the time.

Confusingly, the Helldivers 2 Twitter✱ account makes it sound like Super Earth itself has been invaded again. "Massive Terminid ꦜoutbreaks erupted simultaneously across multiple Super Earth cities," it reads.

The ꦏcities in question are actually on planets colonized by Super Earth, not the bastion of Managed Democracy itself. Still, "this unprecedented assault of Fascism into highly-populated areas puts millions of citizens in grave danger," and we must fight to rid these worlds of the bug menace.

That means it's time for the bugdivers to shine. Bugdivers are players who prefer to fight the Terminids because they're the most fun enemy to face. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Today is the day – MindsEye, the latest game from GTA 5 veteran Leslie Benzies, is here, but following a series of bizarre circumstances leading up to its launch, including the devs now asking streamers to hold off from streaming the game for a few more hours, the vibes are a bit weird, to say the l𓄧east.

Last month, some MindsEye previews from content creators surfaced online, and not everyone was full of praise for it, with complaints about bugs, a lack of depth in the game's combat system, and more. This prompted one exec at the studio to proclaim that "there is a concerted effort by some people that don't want to see Leslie [Benzies] or Build A Rocket Boy to be successful that are making a concerted effort to trash the game and the studio." A bit of a bold claim, to put it lightly.

The situation then became more concerning still last week, when two different studio execs confirmed that they'd left Build a Rocket Boy, just a week before MindsEye was set to launch. This… didn't sound promising at all. Combined with a statement from the devs telling those who'd managed to get hold of physical copies ahead of launch that they'd really rather them wait "until the official release date" to play, highlighting "a major update" coming at launch to bring "kᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚey improvements to ensure MindsEye plays as we intended," things were sounding a little shaky, to say the least.

That same day-one update "we highly recommend installing," it should be noted, is already delayed on Xbox Series X|S, as the devs yesterday tꦆhat "due to varied platform certification, Update 2 will be made available on Xbox as soon as possible." And now, it's been that the official MindsEye 🐬Twitch channel has been hopping into streams of the game today, politely asking streamers if they'd mind stopping what they're doing and coming back later.

"Hey! This is the MindsEye team," one such message reads. "The game officially is available later (6pm UK time) and Twitch is pausing early streams until 🥀then. If you can save this for later, it would be great. Thanks for your support."

This particular message was sent to Twꦫitch content creator mrrespecto_, who to say that "I'm in Australia, so the official release day ൩is today. So they can't stop my stream."

It's worth noting that on the official MindsEye release schedule map, the release date for Australia is actually June 11, with it set to launch i💮n Sydney, for example, at 3am local time. It's at this time that the g♎ame is set to unlock on Steam and on digital platforms, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's when the day-one patch will be available, too (unless you're on Xbox, that is).

MindsEye

(Image credit: Build A Rocket Boy)

However, it's still a bizarre situation, given that it's release day in most countries right now, and has been for hours, with physical copies in stores and ready to buy. In the UK, for example, anyone could walk into a game store to buy it right now, but it would seem they'd still be asked not to stream it online for a couple more hou🌟rs. None of this screams confidence.

We reached out to publisher IO Interactive to ask why thiꦯsꦇ decision has been made, but we haven't received a response.

For what it's worth, any effort to keep streamers and content creators at bay doesn't seem to have been very effective, either. At the time of writing on Twit🎐ch, there are 15 ongoing live streams of the game, while on YouTube, one channel by the name of wolker4 has uploaded what's apparently a , which you can watch in a single seven-hour sitting. I can't imagine the team at Build a Rocket Boyℱ is too pleased about that.

GTA 5 dev says his new open-world game is 20 hours of no-filler content at a now-quaint $60 because players "worried about the price of eggs" want "value for money."

Now 61, he’s been making video games for 40 years, and though he expects Kojima Productions to live on without him, he doesn’t want the team to approach things the same after he's retired.

The topic came up during a wide-rangin🌊g interview with , where Kojima addressed being in the twilight of his career. The Metal Gear Solid creator still has plenty of ideas, but when someone else is in charge, he'd rather they serve as inspiration than become an MO.

"I am not going to pass the baton to anyone. I will rather crush the baton," he laughs. "I don't need to give ‘Hiওdeo Kojima’ to anyone. If I pass the baton to my staff and tell them to make things the same way I do, the company will not succeed and will go out of business."

He elaborates by explaining that creators often contact൲ him to explain how his work impacted their lives. He wants to ins💃pire his team members in the same way, igniting their passion and creative flow.

"They say, 'I'm a creator because of your games.’ But they didn't receive the baton of Hideo Kojima," he states. "They received my small fire. They're not copying me. They're not trying to be me. They have this fire, and they light up their own.♚ And they'll probably give that to someone else."

It sounds like whatever unfinished work he leaves at his company will be just another resource, something to tap into, but not an outright guideline. His position is admiꩲrable and remarkably forward-thinking.

Kojima Productions has finished two games thus far, both Death Stranding installments. Two more are in the pipeline: OD, a horror project for Xbox, and Physint, another Sony production. Besides t🐬hose, Kojima intends to direct a movie, a longtime aspiration of his.

Whateve𝔉r you think of his work, anything with his name tends to stand on its own and get people talking, and his comments suggest he wants his company always to operate that way.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> A new patch has just been released for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring Nightreign, and while it's not 🥂a big one, it does fix a handful of pesky bugs that will no longer impede your jour😼ney.

You'll be pleased to know that players who get downed after Wormfaceꦡ's grab attack will now be saveable. There was a bug that made it impossible to rescue them from near death at times, but that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Libra, Creature of Night, should no longer get stuck in a loop performing the same actions over and over again. This boss previously could get stuck in a loop of "72 consecutive attacks" where they'd slam the ground repeatedly. No🌱t fun or fair.

from

Nightreign should also be more stable when fighting Adel, Baron of Night. Their uno♈fficial attack was bricking whatever machine you played on and tanking the frame rate, making thei🌜r attacks harder to dodge. Well, no more.

There are also some weapon bug fixes. Now, the passive effect that ad𓄧ds magic, lightning, or holy damage to bows will only impact those ꧑attributes, rather than also making physical attack higher. So, this actually makes bows harder to use.

Some weapons' non-direct skill attacks used to inflict attribute attack power and status ailment of the armament, but no longer. And, weapons that have⛎ the passive effect that causes projectile damage drop-off to be reduced should appear in loot pools for chests and slain enemies – 🌟they didn't before.

Despite there being some bugs and issues in Nightreign, players have still been able to beat some impressive challenges. One became the "澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:world's first" to solo all eight main bosses without dying.

It's a tough feat, even when you take into account Nightreign's director has soloed every boss "澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:without relicsꦇ" just to prove that even though the game is difficult, it's doable.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Lost in Random: The Eternal Die has me torn. There were times where I may as well have rolled a die or flipped a coin to decide on a final verdict. Then minutes would pass and I'd change my mind again. This is a sequel that isn't quite a 𝔍sequel, a continuation of a story but framed within an entirely different genre, the same world but from another angle… it toys with you. In some ways I was thrilled, in others, disappointed. And yet, I couldn't stop playing it.

Sequels can be tricky, but in general you'll either get a self-contained story – fully accessible to newcomers, but offering an enriching experience for existing fans – or an 💖exploration of themes and characters that 𝔍only really make sense to those who have engaged with the original material. Lost in Random: The Eternal Die's storyline falls fairly solidly into the latter category, all while the gameplay gets a big refresh more in-keeping with the former. You don't have to be a roguelike fanatic to enjoy – and complete – The Eternal Die, it's a gentle intro to the genre with flexible difficulty settings. But to truly appreciate, or extrapolate much of use from the storyline, you'll need to have played the first game.

Rogue roll

Fast facts

Release date: June 17, 2025
Platform(s): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch
Developer: Stormteller Games
Publisher: Thunderful Publishing

The introductory cutscene is a quick succession of still-ish images and a voice-over that tells you a great deal of information with very little context. If you've ever sat, fully dissociating your mind from your body, as a friend explains the rules to their favorite board game, you'll understand a little of how this feels to a newcomer. Here's t🦩he Queen, here's her sister. She's dead. There was a war. There's a massive Black Dice and it's evil. This 🐼smaller die is your mate. You're the Queen now and you've fallen "into" the Black Dice. For some reason you now look like a child. That's your introductory 30 seconds, now fight.

As such, there's no time to feel anything for either the protagonist, or her late sister. This brief catch-up just isn't enough to entice new players fully into this world, it doesn't explain why they should care about Aleksandra and where they sit in the narrative. It's a fundamental rule of gaming – your players need to know what the stakes are before they roll the die. As satisfying as the combat is, the decision to return specifically to a story-rich world only to ignﷺore that potential is something I can't quite make peace with.

For those who battled through the first game – in contrast, a game packed with nuggets of story in an interactive world – Lost in Random: The Eternal Die's initial narrative can at least be ﷽pieced together. In terms of additional story, you get the occasional room which reminds Aleksandra of a few sentences of a memory, or you might bump into some familiar faces who provide a crumb of lore here and there, but in the hunt for depth or emotional heft, you'll still come up short.

Reviews for the first game often pointed out issues with the combat, but raved about its wonderful, whimsical, Tim Burton-esque world with its rich story and interesting characters. There were hints of secrets yet to be uncovered and stories to be unearthed, only for Lost in Random: The ༒Eternal Die to give us… nothing. The sequel, curiously, seems to have done a complete U-turn. Now we have crunchy, quick, tactile combat that feels varied and rewarding, but the story – the very thing that will draw many players back to the series – lands with a half-hearted thump. It leaves me wondering who the decision to move away from story-first writing serves.

It's frustrating. You feel tantalized, like something of substance might just be out of reach. For players who spent hours in Random the first time around, facing Aleksandra as the Big Bad, there's not enough here to put you firmly on her side, you're just plonked into her shoes and asked to care. I just wanted a bit more, something akin to Hades 2, or even 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Inscryption, where story and gameplay sit comfortably next to each other, each weighted with the same importance. That's what Random deserꦺved.

The Visionary, an orb with a face, shares some wisdom in Lost in Random: The Eternal Die:

At a certain point you have to put the story aside, though, an🌳d accept that it isn't forthcoming. It's a shame. But there is still a lot to love about Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. Combining four gorgeously gothic biomes, intelligent enemy patterns, satisfying combat, and responsive, flexible weapons – as a roguelike it ticks all the boxes.

You can employ yo🤡ur trusty die, Fortune, to spice up gameplay wit𝕴h a randomized twist.

The original game🃏's combat was divisive, but The Eternal Die's gameplay feels like such a perfect fit for the environments and enemies dreamt up for this world. Poison-spewing frog-like creatures rise out of swamps and limping knights prod you with spears tipped with fire, bosses cycle attacks with variation and rhythm, but still provide a solid challenge. The dark atmosphere is a little watered down in the isometric view, but it still feels thematically consistent with Random's aesthetic.

Aside from a few lagging or momentarily confused foes in the more populated areas, you can't fault the combat. It's rewarding, responsive, and allo💖ws you to be creative in your approach. Alongside traditional fighting, you can employ your trusty die, Fortune, to spice up gameplay with a randomized twist. Throwing him at enemies de🎀als damage dependent on the number rolled, and some relics imbue specific numbers with additional powers, like fireworks or poison shots.

Managing relics in the inventory in Lost in Random: The Eternal Die

These relics have a chance to pop up in every cleared room, or in shops fronted by the gregarious traveling saleswoman, Mannie Dex. They change various elements of the game, strengthening your abilities, granting boosts, or increasing loot drops from enemies. The maps are randomly generated, so you'll find some packed to the rafters with bad guys, while others host shops, NPCs, memories, healing fountains, games of chance, etc. Relics have colors that benefit you even fu🐭rther if they match in your inventory, and any lore collected is held with൲in a journal so you don't lose your way.

There are four key weapons to choose from, each offering different playstyles, from a heavy-handed hammer that deals great clangs of damage, to𝄹 the nimble bow that allows you to deftly pick off foes from afar. When you die, you are returned to the discard pile, a place where allies await your triumphant return, and offer you boons and upgrades between runs. You can enhance your weapon of choice with different perks, and earn Blessings for yourself that boost your health, abilities, a🌃nd damage dealing.

Roll up, roll up

Over time you become stronger and better prepared for the games and fights that await you. ▨One by one, you'll take down the bosses and open the way for an unspecified but assuredly positive future. It is exactly what you expect from a roguelike. Nothing majorly unique, but crafted down to the smallest detail.

There are many such little details that show how much potential The Eternal Die has. Sprites and locations are beautifully drawn, the ಌvoice acting and sound design is exceptionally good quality, and – stripped of any story-꧃related expectation – the gameplay compels you to jump right back in for one more run. However much I may have been disappointed in the narrative, I can't deny I played it until the early hours on multiple occasions just to beat that one boss or advance one more level.

A snow boss in Lost in Random: The Eternal Die

T🔜here is so much to explore in Random, a world with whispered history, brutal class divides, brewing generational tensions, and wondrous occurrences fuelled by magic. The decision to skirt over much of this in favor of revealing a few snippets of information b𒈔etween combat-only sequences seems odd, even when those combat periods are of good quality.

Fans want more of this world, for its secrets and mysteries to reveal themselves, and newcomers could have been eꦉqually hooked by a rich story. Were this another generic roguelike with no narrative promise, perhaps I'd have been less harsh, but to pick a world so ripe for storytelling and squander it seems an unnecessary gamble over an easy win.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Vampire RPG fans, take note: 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Blood of Dawnwalker isn’t just another gloomy adventure thro𝓀ugh the shadows. According to creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, the game’s narrative is set to break the mould, letting players shape their journey🃏 in ways that most RPGs only dream of.

, Tomaszkiewicz lifts the lid on how flexible the game’s story truly is. “We wanted to give players as much control over the narrative as possible, a clear objective, but many paths to achieve it”, he explains. That could mean forming unlikely alliances or missing entire factions altogether. “You can align with the human rebellion or finish the game without ever meeting t🍒hem”, Tomaszkiewicz reveals, highlighting just how non-linear things can get.

At the heart of this approach is what the team calls a “narrative sandbox.” For Tomaszkiewicz and the developers at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Rebel Wolves, it’s about putting the player in the driver’s seat. “That to♚ us is the unique strength of video games as a storytelling medium: player agency. The way the game adapts to your actions,” he writes. In other words, your decisions aren’t cosmetic; they have a real impact, both on the world and your experience.

T🌠his freedom extends beyond dialogue choices and branching questlines. Even the main character’s nature as a vampire plays into how the story can unfold. “When losing health, Coen is at risk of losing control over his vampire nature, which can even lead to an involuntary draining of an NPC that you♉ interact with, locking you out from some dialogue options or even questlines as his dark instincts take over”, Tomaszkiewicz explains. In The Blood of Dawnwalker, actions and consequences aren’t always as simple as a choice on a dialogue wheel.

It’s a bold vision, promising a game where every playthrough could look completely different, shaped by both big choices and the messy, unpredictable instincts of its lead chara𝔍cter. For anyone hungry for a Vampire RPG that’s not afraid to take risks, The Blood of Dawnwalker looks set to deliver something truly fresh in 2026.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> All is not what it seems in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring Nightreign. The co-op 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring spin-off appears to use a slightly different stats system to its forebear, but gro🌠wth is extremely similar, and some aspects matter much more than others.

🎐Zullie the Witch, a popular YouTuber who explores FromSoftware games in-depth, has dug int𝐆o the Nightfarers (the new action RPG's playable characters) and what each one actually offers you. They start by noting the game's use of letter grades for character stats, then looking at the overall progression.

During each run of Nightreign, you can grow your character up to 15 levels. ﷺOn its face, this streamlines Elden Ring's approach where you pic🍷k statistics to push during your play-through. But ultimately, the same thing is happening across the two games, since boosts are uneven level to level.

As an example, Ironeye's vigor and dexterity grow considerably every time you level-up, but almost every other stat ꦺis much more staggered. Strength barely moves in the upper levels. In contrast, Raider's strength is always getting buffed, but their dexterity tapers off.

What constitutes each grade varies as well, as Zullie notes 🗹an S in intelligence is not the same as an S in dexterity. It's all a bit muddy, but a big takeaway is getting to level 15 isn't as useful as you might think. In a lot of൲ cases, getting as far as 10 may suffice, as the overall changes are less dramatic in the later levels. Zullie notes that there seems to be a bit of a soft cap of sorts around level 12.

Even Relics aren't helping you so much. When you're📖 late into your run and into the teens level-wise, other buffs are considerablyꦗ more helpful.

Zullജie provides stat sheets to help guide you towards what's optimal for your playstyle. A real benefit is not wasting potential buffs in areas you won't really see a tangible improvement. Defeating the Nightlords is haꦰrd work, you need every advantage.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> One of the big surprises from Summer Game Fest 2025 was the announcement of the Persona 4 remake, Persona 4 Revival. The game first landed on the PS Vita all the way back in 2008🐠, meaning it's almost been two decades since we first tuned into the Midnight Channel (which is a terrifying thought if you're over 30 like me and played the original). But now it's set to make a big, revamped comeback, with the long-rumored and recently revealed remake finally on the horizon.

Officially announced in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, this looks like a full remake of the now venerable installment in the Persona series, and I'm excited. Is a remake of Persona 4, a game that launched on Steam in 2020 and on consoles just two years ago, really necessary? Probably not – the original game (aka one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best JRPGs of all time) still holds up, but if the PS2-era jank of it just puts you off, this remake will let you fully enjoy the fantastic ♊story of telegraph pole murders, scooter rides to the beach, and a young man called Yu Narukami. Or should that be Charlie Tunoku?

So read on as we break down one of the most exciting 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games heading our way. From Persona 4 Revival release date specula🌃tion, story recaps, and gameplay details, we've got all the latest news that you need to know down below.

Persona 4 Revival release date speculation

Persona 4 Revival

There isn't a release date set for Persona 4 Revival yet, and it seems like it'll stay that way for a while yet. However, 2026 seems to be the general guess at the moment. In fact, we aren't the only ones eyeing this๊ as a potential release window.

There has been some speculation online, wi༺th many suggesting that it'll release in the latter half of next year, but this is far from concrete. It does seem fairly likely that we'll hear a more concrete release window at the Tokyo Game Show in late September, which is reasonably likely. The series is immensely popular in Japan, so if they were going to announce it anywhere, TGS is a good place to do it.

Persona 4 Revival platforms

At the moment, Persona 4 Revival is slated for release on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5, based on the . There's good news for those 🌺who are subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate or PC 𒊎Game Pass, as it'll be available on the service from day one.

There's a reasonable chance that the game will also come to the Switch 2 at some point, however, this isn't confirmed. Atlus had previously said that Persona 3 Reload, the previous Persona remake, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:may come 🌄▨to Nintendo consoles in future, like Per🌟sona 4 Golden did back in 2023, and Persona 5 Royal did in 2022.

What is Persona 4?

A silhouette of man on a TV during the trailer for the Persona 4 remake, Persona 4 Revival.

If you're new to Persona 4 and don't know what to expect from the remake, let us enlighten you. The game is a dungeon-crawling JRPG with a side of slice-of-life anime, much like the rest of the Persona series and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Metaphor: Refantazio. You can be exploring a dungeon one moment and then going off on a school trip to enjoy some undigestible food cooked by your friends the 🅘next. The core gameplay loop revolves aroun𓆉d exploring the Midnight Channel, a dimension accessed by hopping into a TV, in order to stop a series of murders.

The setting may 🅠sound a bit grim, but it's all baked into such a delightful world, full of fantastic characters, that it shines with a kind of ܫyouthful energy that makes it feel like an endless summer from when you were 16. The game takes place during a school year, with the warmer months boasting blue skies that will have you reaching for a bottle of Ramune. Even rainy days and dour months don't dampen the game's charm. It's a heady mix, and one that only Atlus can really pull off.

Persona 4 Revival trailer

You can watch the teaser trailer for Persona 4 Revival right now, and you should, because it looks absolutely stunning. The trailer doesn't show too much, but we do g💮et to see some iconic Persona 4 locations, including the Shopping District, it🔴s shrine (minus a Mysterious Fox ), the High School, and the briefest glimpses of the TV World.

Persona 4 Revival gameplay

We haven't had a good look at the Persona 4 Revival's gameplay yet, with the tಌeaser trailer offering only the barest of glimpses. What we can glean from the trailer is that the game adopts a more standard third-person camera, akin to that seen in Metaphor: Refantazio, instead﷽ of the fixed-camera view that the original Persona 4 had when exploring outside of dungeons.

It's safe to say that aside from this, the core gameplay will remain roughly similar to the origin🦹al game. If it's anything like the changes that Persona 3 Reload made to Persona 3's gameplay, the changes will be fairly minor and more fo✅cused on quality-of-life changes. Maybe we'll get some additional spells, a return of the Theurgy mechanic, or Link Episodes.

Voice actors from the original Persona 4 and Golden have been discussing the fact that they weren't invited back for the remake. This suggests that either there'll be an entirely new voice cast and new dialogue, as with Reload, or that the original lines will be reused, maybe after being remastered. To learn more about the original gameplay, you can check out our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Persona 4 review.

Persona 4 Revival development and key facts

The existence of a Persona 4 remake feels like it's been the worst-kept secret in games for a while now. Not only have we had the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:voice actors discussing the fact that they've not been asked to return, we also saw the domain getting registered back in March, which mirrors the ofꦉficial Japanese website for Persona 3 Reload, . As it turns out, this is, in fact, the official Japanese website for Persona 4 Revival.

Atlus conducted a , asking which remakes people wanted most, with Persona 3 topping the list. Lo and behold, we got a rem💙ake of Persona 3, and we're now moving onto the fourth most-wanted remake in the shape of Persona 4 Revival.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:IO Interactive, the studio behind the acclaimed Hitman series, has opened up about the very different approach it's taking with its next big title: 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:007 First Light. If you’re expecting a straightforward reskin of Age🤪nt 4⛄7 in a tuxedo, think again.

Speaking with , art director Rℱasmus Poulsen is keen to draw a clear line between the developer's infamous bald assassin and the world’s most famous secret agent. “If Hi♔tman is a single-minded killer and basically the bad guy of the game,” Poulsen says, “Bond is the hero.” It’s a surprisingly candid statement, especially from a studio best known for letting players think like a villain.

This shift𒀰 in perspective is shaping every layer of the new game. “That means we are much more focused on his journey as a character, and we are much more focused on saving the world,” Poulsen explains. In other words, don’t expect Bond to blend into the background or play puppet to the player’s every whim. 007 First Light aims to provide a more cinematic, character-driven experience𝓰. Something that puts Bond’s story and personality front and centre.

IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak hammered homꦰe that point directly by comparing the two iconic♏ characters. While Agent 47 has always been something of a blank slate, an “empty shell,” as Abrak describes him, James Bond “is very much a personality.”

What does this me⛄an in practice? While IO’s Hitman games thrive on cold eff♛iciency and creative sandbox mayhem, 007 First Light looks set to offer a completely different kind of power fantasy. Bond isn’t just a tool. He’s a hero with opinions, emotions, and a world to save.

For fans, this is a promise of a Bond game that goes beyond the gadgets and the glamour. IO Interactive wants to explore what makes James Bond tick, what drives him to risk everything,൲ and what it actually means to be the hero rather than the anti-hero. If they pull it off, 007 Firstꦛ Light could be the fresh take the Bond franchise has been missing for years.

007: First Light is planned for sometime in 2026, and it’s clear that IO Interactive is set on giving players a fresh spin on the Bond formula. Rather than simply ticking off classic spy tropes, the team wants to dig into what really makes Bond a hero. If they succeed, fanꦯs could be in for a much d𝄹eeper, more personal take on the iconic secret agent.

007: First Light isn't an Uncharted-style action game, but it's not just another Hitman game either: "We are leaning a lot on what IOI does best."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> On Friday, the CEO of developer 1047 Games and creative director on Splitgate 2, Ian Proulx, took to the stage of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025 in an 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:unpopular hat to declare he was 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:sick of the stale state of FPS games. What followed was the announcement of a battle royale mode in the year of our lord 2025, as well as players discovering $80 cosmetic bun🐲dles in🔯 the portal shooter.

Proulx has now explained why prices were that high, and he blames a former 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Call of Duty developer.

"No excuse, of course, I should have been on this," he starts in a video posted to Twitter. "The second I got off that stage, I cal🀅led Derek, our lead game designer, and I said, 'Derek, did you know we had an $80 bundle? This is news to me, like what the heck? That makes no sense.'"

Now, som🐼e of you may be alarmed if a director doesn't know how much players are being charged for bundles in his game. "Our former head of monetization, who happened to come from Call of Duty, was with us for less than a year and was very aggressive on the pricing," Proulx alleges.

After Proulx's comments on the SGF stage about being "tired of playing the same Call of Duty every year," and the Splitgate Twitter account a current CoD developer before deleting the twe𓃲et, I would have thought he'd leave CoD out of it.

Proulx then claims that under this former CoD dev's influence, Founder's Packs were originally $100 and Battle Passes were $10, but he and and the lead game designer slashed them down to $60 and $5 respectively. Somehow, the $80 cosmetic bundle that has since been halved to $40, "slipped through the cracks."

He assures us all that "I fundamentally believe the best way♊, as a business, truly, to make money, is not to charge the players an egregious amount. It's to be generous, and th🐟oughtful, and listen to feedback. [...] That is our philosophical view with Splitgate 2."

Splitgate 2 launched to "Mixed" reviews on Steam with players calling out the expensive microtransactions and the hypocrisy in criticizing Call of Duty but then adopting its same strategies and modes. So, while Proulx continues to throw shade at CoD, he has at least listened to players regarding p🐭ricing.

Proulx finishes by saying: "I'm sorry about the $80 bundle. It's crazy. It was a shock to me when I found out, and that's no excuse. But you can expect, just like we reduced prices yes🍌terday from $80 to $40, that's going to be our philosophy going forward, is being player friendly, player first, we want this to be affordable."

In the meantime, catch up on everything that was announced at Summer Game Fest 2025.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> A new 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 update has arrived, featuring a va♔riety of new features as well as some long-requested changes – including the ability to rematch Simon after defeating him, multiply enemy health, and more.

The official patch notes from developer Sandfall Interactive just went live on , showing what's new and different in the beloved turn-based RPG. 1.3.0 first gives players the opportunity to take Simon on again after emerging victorious from what's arguably one of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's ജhardest challenges, in a change allowing fans to rematch the three-phase postgame boss that has come after online.

Story Mode players hoping for a more peaceful experience are eating good with this update, too, as it increases parry and dodge windows by a whopping 40% while reducing incoming damage by 10%. It's important to note that this only applies to Story Mode, w⛦hich means fans who prefer a more challenging time don't need to worry about anything being too easy – in fact, they can crank their difficulty up x100 if they so choose now.

That's because patch 1.3.0 contains some new challenge modifiers from Act 3 onward. With the ability to limit max player damage to 99,999 or 999,999 and multiply enemy HP by x2, x5, x10, x20, x50, or even x100, ♎players can spice the game up to suit their own tastes. As a fan myself, I personally can't imagine granting my enemies 100 times more health, but I'm certain some combat sickos will do so – and probably prove successful afterward as꧟ well.

Other adjustments made to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 include bug fixes addressing some of the peskier problems flagged by players – 297 of them, to be precise. There are also a few handy localization tweaks and changes affecting in-game settings, like a couple of mouse and joystick sensitivity improvements, and the ability to manually rename save files, too. Patch 1.3.0 isn't the last of Sandfall's updates, either – "We continue!"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Now that season 3 of the TV show is on the way, we’re all waiting to see if Naughty Dog dec🐼ides to make The Last of Us 3. Neil Druckmann has ideas for another installment, and the HBO adaptatio🔯n’s showrunner, Craig Mazin, knows what they are, but he’s staying coy about the possibilities.

Speaking to BAFTA on the back of the third season, Mazin was asked about where Druckmann's at in terms of Part ꧒3. He revealed it's all in discussion, though whether any decisions have been made is beyond him aꦜt present.

"I am familiar with some concepts that Neil has kicked around for a potential third game. I don't know if he's zeroed in on one of them," he explains, adding that although he'd like Part 3 to happen, he also thinks maybe less is more. "Sometimes I think, maybe you should just be ha💦ppy. Don't be sad it's over, be happy that it happened at all!"

He goes on to gush over Naughty Dog's abilities as a studio, especially in regards to narrative work. Between Uncharted and The Last of Us, the outfit is a standard-bearer fo♚r eng🐷rossing, cinematic games, each of the latter's two installments so far hitting especially hard.

Druckmann himself has gone back and forth on the status of another chapter. He mentioned during Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us Part 2 that there's "probably" one more outing for Joel and Ellie. However, in March of this year, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:he told people not to expect Part 3 and suggested that the HBO show might be where The Last of Us concludes cܫompletely.

As strong as the desire for another chapter of The Last of Us is, Part 2 gave us a neat ending, and perhaps we should be satisfied with that. Naughty Dog has already teed up its next venture with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a c🅘osmic project centered around a bounty hu♈nter millennia from now.

Honestly, the premise of Intergalactic suggests the development team would like to get away from Earth, Nathan Drake, and ཧthe Cordyceps for a while. Mazin adds he'll be there to play whatever Naughty Dog puts on shelves. "I'll be there on day one to play Intergalactic. If there's another Uncharted, I'll play it. If there's another Last of Us, I'll pl🍎ay it," he finishes.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> During last week's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft officially lifted the curtain on its new ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox A🥃lly X handhelds, which are planned to launch sometime towards the end of the year. But despite being blatantly Xbox-branded, the p💟ortable devices will be able to play certain first-party PlayStation games.

As you might have guessed, those "certain" games are the ones that have PC ports. The likes of The Last of Us, God of War, ജHorizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, and more have already made their way to Steam for PC and Steam Deck players to enjoy, but the ROG Xbox Ally's Windows functionality also means they'll work on the upcoming devices.

When Microsoft was asked specifically by if the ROG Xbox Ally devices ♊will be able to run the latest God of War games, a♔ representative confirmed: "Because these handhelds run Windows, you have access to all the games you can play on Windows PCs."

I mean, it makes sense – it'd be kind of weird if the devices, which can otherwise play all Steam games, just said "no" upon trying to launch a PlayStation title. Even so, there's something rather amusing about the idea of seeing first-party blockbusters from one of its greatest rivals appear on a device that "looks like an Xbox, it feels liജke an Xbox," and also "p♏lays like an Xbox."

It's sort of like seeing Xbox's recent multiplatform strategy – which has seen games like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indiana Jones and the Great Circle release on PS5, and Grounded and Pentiment come to both Sony's console and Nintendo Switch – in reverse. More players being able to access certain games is always a positive thing at the end of the ♍day, though – maybe t🥃his new platform will get more people to try them for the first time.

I'm not saying I regret buying a Nintendo Switch 2, but the ROG Xbox Ally X is almost everything I want from an Xbox handheld.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> At the tail end of澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: Summer Game Fest 2025 during the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, fans got to see more of upcoming vampire RPG 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Blood of Dawnwalker – an RPꦬG developers say boasts true-to-history combat.

Speaking in a post-stream announcement on , Rebel Wolves' creative director, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, dives into the details regarding The Blood of Dawnwalker's combat system a♈nd how it works with protagonist Coen. "Coen trained for years with his father, a grizzled war veteran, so during the day he wields a sword," explains the dev. "We studied medieval fighting styles and even have a few trained swordsmen on the team."

Tomaszkiewicz, who previously worked on beloved CD Projekt Red RPGs like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Witcher 3 and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Cyberpunk 2077ꦰ, says these efforts are why combat feels "authentic" in The Blood of Dawnwalker: "The result is combat that feels authentic and grounded, yet approachable and fun." How does combat change for Coen depending on whether it's day or night in the game, though, as this cycle is part of what makes the title so intriguing?

"As a human, he also learns how to use magic – raw, ritual-based, with dark, primordial origins," describes Tomaszkiewicz. "We're not going the high fantasy route with colorful explosions. Our spells are darker and grounded – tied to blood, heat, and air that seems to pulse and breathe. The visuals🐓 can be striking, but in a more visceral, eerie way. To cast a spell, you first have to literally open up your body to the occult by carving runes and becoming a living conduit. Magic flows through you."

Once the day draws to a close, combat takes a turn for Coen. "At night, though, these runes seal shut as your flesh regenerates. They fade, like old scars. Instead, your vampiric nature awakens. You'll fight with claws, enhanced strength, supernatural agility, and dark powers available only after sunset. But these powers come at a cost: your humanity." It sounds like the sort of day-to-night shift one would expect of a vamp🀅ire, with some nuance.

"Coen's vampiric Blood Craving comes into play: a system that ties his health level and his hunger," the lead explains. "When losing health, Coen is at risk of losing control over his vampire nature, which can even lead to involuntary draining [of] an NPC that you interact with, locking you out from some dialogue options or even quest lines as his dark instincts take over." That balance between risk and reward is core to the RPG experience, and as an excited fan myself, I can't wait to experience it firsthand.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dying Light: The Beast will have a greater focus on guns be🅷ing just as viable a combat option as melee weapons, despite the series' focus on hand-to-hand combat.

To say the Dying Light series has had a complicated relationship with guns isn't an assumption on my part; it's literally the words of the series' franchise director, Tymon Smektała. during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest 2025, Smektała walked us th♈rough ✅Dying Light's messy history with guns and pew pewing.

Smektała (half-) joked that "if Dying Light and guns were on Facebook, their relationship status would be, 'it's ♏comp𝓡licated'."

He explained that Techland received a lot of feedback from people playing the orig♛inal Dying Light and asking "why did you even bother to have the guns" in such a melee-focused game, and so "in the second one, we didn't." But then, naturally, "the first thing we heard after the release [of Dying Light 2] was 'but, where are the guns?'"

Future Dying Light 2 updates would eventually add gu𓆏ns, even though this presented a unique "lore and narrative challenge" because "we even speꦑcifically put that in the world building, in the lore, that there are no guns in this world."

Although Te💮chland somehow "managed to squeeze them in," there are still pretty prevalent narrative🍌s online that guns in Dying Light 2 are either or .

You can probably understand then that Techland decided to put a bigger focus on balancing firearm combat in Dying Light: The Beast. "For Dying Light: The Beast, we decided, 'let's give the players the guns if they want, but also ඣlet's focus on the guns so they really feel on par with melee combat in terms of how physical they are, how brutal they are, but also balanced they are, so they don't feel too ove🍃rpowered."

I genuဣinely feel for the team at Techland on this, as yes, the Dying Light series is built around fast-paced parkour traversal and, chiefly, the comically gruesome slicing and dicing of zombies, particularly toward the endgame when you can start crafting wildly silly killing machines that make mincemeat out of the undead.

Guns have always felt a 🦹little out of place, but with Techland making this public commitm🦩ent to improving them, there's reason to be hopeful for a more balanced assortment of weapons overall.

Techland announced during SGF that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dying Light: The Beast is l🀅aunching on August 𓄧22 across PS5, PS4, Xbox S𝕴eries X෴/S, Xbox One, and PC.

"For us, it really is Dying Light 3": Techland admits Dying Light 2 "lost the horror, lost the tension," but says The Beast is "the best Dying Light that we have ever made"

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dying Light: The Beast isn't officially Dying Light 3, but it has evolved from Dying Light 2 DLC into its own༒ standalone game, and the folks at Techland say it's meatꦬy enough to constitute a full-blown sequel.

Among 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:everything announced at S꧅ummer Game Fest 2025, we learned that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史꧑查询:Dying Light: The Beast is launching on August 22 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. In the wake of that reveal, sat down with Dying Light franchise director Tymon Smektała, who wa꧟s candid about some of the less-than-favorable comparisons between Dying Light 2 and its acclaimed predecessor.

"Dying Light 1 was a game for our core community. It was a hardcore survival horror, open-world, action adventure with very strong survival aspects," he said. "For Dying Light 2,ﷺ we forgot about it. The game was a commercial success, but the players who should be closest to our hearts said we kind of lost the edge, we lost the threat, we lost the horror, we lost the tension."

As someone who gleefully logged dozens upon doz♓ens of hours in Dying Light 1, but couldn't get into Dying Light 2, it excites me to no end that Techland used the original game as a template for The Beast.

Even still, with the new game starting out as Dying Light 2 DLC, it's been hard for me not only to shake that association but also view it as anything more than a standa⛄lone expansion. Apparently, that perception is dead wrong, as The Beast has a whole new setting and characters, with Smektała saying it took him around 37 hours to finish his latest playthrough.

"For us, it really is Dying Light 3," he said, later adding that the only reason it isn'💎t a full-fat numbered sequel is because "it doesn't bring this very spectacular breakthrough new feature that maybe you would expect from the next numbered entry in the series," even though it's🧔 "a very proper triple-A game" and "very chunky."

The Beast brings back original Dying Light protagonist Kyle Crane as its main character, and now that he's out of captivity he's thirsty for revenge against the Baron, the scientist who's been experimenting on Crane and giving him supernatural powers. I suppose, in hin♓dsight, that should've been my clue that Techland listened to fans wanting more Dying Light 1 influence in the series' next game. Count me in.

In the meantime, here are the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best horror games to play tonight.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Arrowhead has shared an official 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Helldivers 2 Super Earth World Map showing the destruction that was wrought during the planet's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Illuminate invasion.

Although the Illuminate invasion🉐 ultimately ended in victory for players, the war wﷺasn't won without a great deal of casualties, and now we can see that destruction♏ laid bare on a fairly sobering map.

While crucial Super Earth landmarks like the Historical Resource Depletion Site, Leaning Tower of Peace, and Great Wall of Democracy were successfully defended during the onslaught, entire Mega Citi🍷es including Eagleopolis, Administrative Center 02, Remembrance, Port Mercy, and York Supreme, as well as the Superstone Park monument, were lost to the squids.

I'm not sure what tactical advantage they were hoping to get from taking Superst🃏one, but I hope they're happy with themselves.

The map, wh𝔉ich is of course only available in higher detail to citizens with the security clearance for that kind of sensitive information, provides a fascinating micro view of one of Helldivers 2's most important battlegrounds.

It gets even harder to call this an unequivocal victory when you see that, in desperation, ouಌr last remaining rainforests on Super Earth were turned into "massive tactical airstrips."

Yes, the war has been won, but at what cost? Well, literally five mega cities, a national monument, and Super Earth's last rainforests. Democracy lost a lot of ground in the invasion, but here's hoping the next Major Order sets pla⛄yers on a course to start rebuilding what was lost, and in the meantime, at least we managed to secure the Minor Barrier Reef. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Unbeatable just goes to show that with some smart game design, less can really be more – even when❀ it comes to adding something fresh to the rhythm game genre. There was a period of time where each new Guitar Hero or Rock Band either added in a whole new type of instrument or peripheral or added new buttons to a familiar control to add depth. Unbeatable doesn't need any of that noise, making the most of a seemingly simple layout.

Unbeatable comes from developer D-Cell Games, and after playing the excellent Steam Next Fest Demo for a couple of hours I've not only gotten a taste of its punk story, but got to try oodles of songs in the arcade mode at varying levels of difficulty (included the extremely hard titular challenge level). Though the rhythm action takes place across just two buttons, Unbeatable is far from simple, and it feels incredibly satisfying to ace its tracks. And if you want to explore demos for yourself, check out our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Steam Next Fest guide for more.

Quaver just wants to eat her ramen in Unbeatable's Steam demo

Thꦑere's more to Unbeatable than just a list of arcade songs to try.

But let me 🍬unstrap the guitar for just a moment to do some tuning and get you up to speed with what Unbeatable is – as there's more to this than just a list of arcade songs to try. Unbeatable is set in a world "where music is illegal and you do crimes", essentially. Taking control of Beat, she leads the members of her band against a comically evil megacorp-ruled world where forms of expression like music have been outlawed. It's punk by nature, every time you play an act of rebellion.

Nipping at Beat and friends' heels are security guards and an 'elite' duo who are obviously riffing of Pokemon's Team Rocket. While moments in the story incorporate songs to play like in the Arcade mode, there are also swifter variations that see𓄧 you timing button presses to battle encroachinꦉg foes and so on. Likewise there are rhythm minigames specific to the story mode, from mixing cocktails to listening to the hum of a vending machine on the outskirts of town and allowing it to inspire Beat to come up with a new tune.

The story flows by allowing Beat to run around maps from a side- on perspective, moving in and out of the environment. Across town are people to talk to, activities to help out with, and collectibles to uncover. It definitely takes a lot of cues from similar story-based narrative indie games that have you running around urban environments, but that's no bad thing – it's a slick and easy to get into way of making Beat and the gang ༺feel like they exist in a lived in space.

And action

Hazard notes approach Beat in Unbeatable's Steam demo

OK, back to the rhythm game – which has its own progression track entirely separate from the story mode if you want via its arcade mod🌺e. How does having only two buttons feel compelling? Each song sees the band take center stage, as enemies fly at them to represent notes from across the left and right side of the screen at the same time, with both an upper line and a lower line across each. One button sees Beat go high, another go low. And those are the fundamentals.

Things get more complicated fr🍸om there, of course. As well as notes you'll need to hit, there are plenty of ones you need to avoid – a bit like Beat Saber in two-dimensions. Plus there are plenty of notes you need to bash away at, or hold – 🅰and, because of the simple set-up, loads of opportunities for those hold notes to supplement more inputs on the other line.

Beat is inspired by a vending machine's wistful bubbles in Unbeatable's Steam demo

Add in the occasional center note, double note, and enemy notes that when you bash will then be knocked 🅷either d♊own or up ready for a followup attack that means switching your line, and you have a whole lot of neat twists to deal with that keep you on your toes while also making the action feel like a thrilling punch-up. So far, whether enemies come from your left or right doesn't affect the required inputs, so I'm a little bit on the fence about how pointless the feature feels – but it does mean when playing for the first song you need to be extra vigilant from where notes will fly next, so in that sense it is adding something.

While I've been enjoying the brief taste of Story Mode the demo brings, what's kept me playing Unbeatable really has been just playing the songs themselves. I love a good rhythm game, and this simple-at-a-glance two-button system is really scratching an itch, and I especially like how much depth lies beneath it – almost a bit like the underrated Rock Band Blitz. ♔Now I'm tuned up, I can't wait to jump back in to attempt to master some more songs.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Between titles like Streets of Rage 4, Cadence of Hyrule, and Th𓂃e Rogue Prince of Persia, we're starting to see more and more indie studios get a crack at building new entries in venerable franchises. I was already on board for this trend, but an hour with Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound has convinced me that it's the absolute best thing happening in video games today.

I always hesitate to put this kind of hyperbole in a preview piece, but Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is simply awesome. Drop in the caveat here that the full game might have some fatal flaw that drags the whole thing down, but through ไfour levels from across vario🐽us sections of the game, I've been absolutely hooked.

Maybe it shouldn't be a surprise to say that the devs at The Game Kitchen, the studio behind the澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询: best Metroidvania games out there in the Blasphemous series, have created an excellent 2D action game. But Ragebound manages the rare achievement of keeping the spirit o🔥f the legendarily tough-as-nails Ninja G♓aiden series alive while giving us something that still feels fresh and exciting in 2025.

Pixel perfect

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

Key Info

Developer: The Game Kitchen
Publisher: Dotemu
Platform(s): PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch
Release date: July 31, 2025

The first thing you'll notice about Ragebound is how good it looks. The game mimics the cinematic cutscene style of the original NES games, but with striking modern pixel art. The 2D action stages are similarly impressive, most of all for the tremendous variety of animations you'll see. Did the tutorial mission need custom art to show longtime series protagonist Ryu Hyabusa opening a letter or viciously piledrivingꦬ you into the floor when you fail to defeat him in combat? No, but the sheer spectacle is certainly appreciated.

You play as Kenji Muzo, an apprentice to Ryu who's left behind to deal with a demonic invasion all on his own. The plot likely won't be the main draw here, but snappy dialog offers some nice context to the stages – and gives The Game Kitchen opportunity to continue building on the uneasy religious themes the studio keeps coming back to as Kenji builds an uneasy alliance with the assassin Kumori, who can commune with the d🎉emon realm.

Kenji has the abilities you'd expect from the protagonist of a 2D Ninja Gaiden game, with wall-climbing, ceiling-crawling, and sword-slashing all on the menu. It all feels excellent, from the sticky wall-jump to the exact reach of your blade, but the best part is the double-jump – which you can only activate by simultaneousꦡly attacking a midair enemy, projectile, or object. If you've played The Messenger, an excellent but unlicensed indie take on Ninja Gaiden, you'll feel right at home with t♔his jump mechanic, but it's a bit streamlined and feels even better here.

Kumori serves as a sort of sidekick – the Kazooie to Kenji's Banjo. Once she joins up with Kenji partway through the game, you can use her to send out various subweapon attacks, like straightline throwing knives or big, arcing axe throws. They're very reminiscent of classic Castlevania subweapons, espe🎀cially in how they're governed by a limited resource bar, which here you refill by killing enemies.

Ryu the day

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

The final big wrinkle here is the hyper charge mechanic. Certain enemies will enter the field encased in a colored light, and if you kill them with an appropriate attack – blue for melee, or purple for ranged – you'll be empowered with a supercharge that can instantly kill even the toughest foes. Most of the monsters go down in one or two hits, but some b✤ig baddies are either armored or ca🧸n take a good half-dozen strikes to defeat.

You're encouraged, the🧸n, to wait a second or two before engaging the enemy, looking for the enemies you can use to build a hyper charge, and chaining between them to slice through the field in seconds. Like the NES games, it rewards you fo🎶r memorizing the optimal path through each encounter, but if you make a few kills in the wrong order, it's not the end of the world, as it'll just take a little extra effort to clear the encounter.

Ragebound is challenging, but it's not brutal the way its predecessors coul🎐d often be. That's largely thanks to the regular checkpoints positioned throughout each stage, which makes retrying🤡 the hard parts a snap. If you die, that just means an opportunity to do better next time, and the controls are so precise that locking in that kind of mastery feels incredible.

"You caꦓn immediately picture how wild the speedruns are going to look."

Take the game's first boss for example, a dragon-like demon creature who kept catching me out after his big charge move, when he'd toss a couple of molten fireballs out that happen ꦡto land right at the inconvenient edge of the range of my invincible dodge roll. Every time I got hit, it was clear what I was doing wrong. I died twice trying to beat him, but on the third attempt I killed him without even taking a hit.

You can play pretty sloppily and still get through a stage, but Ragebound challenges you to do better with bonus objectives for doing things like killing enemies w𝐆ith certain types of attacks or clearing a stage without dying. There are also col🍷lectibles to find, and many of these mechanics tie into some sort of upgrade system that wasn't available in the demo. I can already see myself running these stages over and over to perfect them before moving on once the final game hits, though.

Ragebound's ability to inspire that chase for perfection is probably the greatest illustration of what it's doing right. It's༒ challenging enough that no enco𓄧unter is a cakewalk, but it always feels downright obvious how you could've done it better. It's the kind of game where you can immediately picture how wild the speedruns are going to look – a carefully choreographed and very violent dance. I can't wait to play more.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> There are some developers you just can't believe aren't owned by a parent company. I've been a Pokemon fan all my life and a games journalist for almost five years, and I'd have bet money that Game Freak only worked with Nintendo. But during 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest, it revealed 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Beast of Reincarnation, a third-person action game it's making for PC, Xbox Series, and PS5 – not Nintendo Switch 2. No one can believe this is the same company that made Pokemon Scarlet andꦬ Violet.

Beast of Reincarnation looks like a modern triple-A game, because it is.ౠ Gone are the saturated hues and sparse environmental details of💙 Pokemon, in are dense foliage, colossal bosses, and swift combat. The difference is night and day – or Sun and Moon.

"GameFreak, Gen 10✤ better look amazing on Nintendo Switch 2 next year if you all are capable of making games look like this compared to Pokemon," writes one awestruck fan on . "Same developers. Game Freak cannot be serious," another.

People have been clowning on Game Freak for how bad Pokemon Scarlet and Violet run for ages. It's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a lot better on the Switch 2, but people still ca🍰n't 💯believe the company is capable of this.

Over on Reddit, one person writes, in all caps which I shall spare you from, "Game Freak made this?! Bro, this is Game Freak?" I know, we'r𝔍e all just as shocke🧔d, honestly.

"I bet they didn't crunch this in a year or two,"🐭 one person. Since a new Pokemon Game is released every couple of years by Game Freak, a lot of people believe the team is overworked.

from

However, even though Beast of Reincarnation is due out in 2026, with Pokemon ✨Legends: Z-A coming later this year, Game Freak introduced back in 2022, so we have no evidence crunch is an issue.

On BlueSky, one person :🐼 "Game Freak: We hired a guy who told us what textures are. It has really revolutionized our whole deal."

It's unbelievable how different this looks to Pokemon. Considering 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Switch 2, it's not like Game Freak couldn't make a game look lik൩e this on the hardware, but clearly that's just not the aesthetic direction either it or Nintendo wants to take Pokemon in.

While we wait for next year, check out all the other 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming games you have to look forward to.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> FromSoftware veterans are running headlong into the fray with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring Nightreign. Not only has someone managed a complete run on their lonesome us♏ing only a shield, another player has now managed to beat all eigh𝔍t Nightlords on the trot without dying once.

Yes, all of them𝔉, in a row, deathless. Noted Elden Ring enthusiast itzCBD is th🌞e man responsible for this incredible demonstration of tenacity. In his journey to conquer Nightreign, he decided to take on the challenge of beating every feasible major boss in a single sitting.

There are eight of them, each their own particular brand of🍌 difficulty. No matter, as itzCBD ran through them as if they were mere undead. Well, it was a little trickier than that, but not by a huge amount.

Posting on X/Twitter, he shared the achievement, and a clip of him beating his final adversary, Heolstor. The last Nightlord was🐈 slain after 13 hours on stream trying to make this happen. This run itself lasted five-and-a-half hours, a period you can double for how nail-biting Elden Ring can be.

Remember, too, that besides the eight behemoth bosses, there are 1🍸6 mini-bosses to get through for this, two on each individual round. That makes for a grand of 24 battles, front to back, in succession. I’m sweating a little just th💯inking about.

But this is the kind of thing itzCBD thrives on. Unlike Skumnut, who relegated himself to just using a shield, itzCBD allowed himself weapons. The goa🉐l herཧe was to do it all without dying – a different kind of gimmick to Skum's predilection for getting through a single run in an absurd manner. Even so, with the different weakness and strategies associated with each Nightlord, it's quite a gauntlet of skill and RNG to overcome.

Their achievements co-exist in different lanes, and now that Skum is going for a hitless run, 🌸we can only wait and see what itzCBD does next. He can enjoy what appears to be a world's first for the time ♛being.

Our list of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring Nightreign tips should give you some assistance, whether you’re going for hitless or deathless or none of the above.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Ps5 ]]> Gears of War: Reloaded is no longer coming out in Japan for the PS5 due to "regional rating restrictions aꦑnd platform policies," despite the Xbox and PC versions still being released on August 26𝔍.

Gears of War is getting its second remaster very soon, with the big gimmick this time around being that the game is finally making the jump away from Xbox and letting PlayStation players in on the fun (with a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:bunch of betas coming before it launches on August 26). However, in Japan🌳 – where PlayStation has a🐬lways been significantly more popular – the game will only be releasing on Xbox and PC.

This was announced on a post (spotted and translated by , aಞnd verified using machine translation), in a post which explains the game won't be releasing on the platform due to "regional rating restrictions and platform policies."

While Japanese players are advised that they'll still be able to play the game at launch on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass, an apoꩵlogy has been issued for anyone inconvenienced by the PS5 version not releasing.

While not as eager to ban games as some countries, Japan has previously banned games with copious amounts of gore like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:2022's The Callisto Protocol and the Dead Space Remake. Plus 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Assassin's Creed Shadows was censored in the country, with the di꧂smemberment to♏ned down vastly (which seems to be a sticking point given that Dead Space is all about the dismemberment).

Automaton mentions that ꦦthe original release of Gears of War in 2006 did in fact release 🐻in a censored state, with some scenes depicting severed limbs being affected.

The post doesn't specify why only the PS5 version is affected when the game is presumably the same across both platforms, so I'm assuming that the "platform policies" section is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here.

We saw some more of Gears of War: Reloaded at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Summer Game Fest this year, making an appearance during the Xbox Games Showcase.
