Sega confirmed in its latest 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:management presentation (via Wario64) that Persona 4 Revival, as well as Like a Dragon studio RGG's action game 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stranger Than Heaven, are launc🃏hing "in or after" Sega's fiscal year ending in March 2027, which starts April 1, 2026.

Sega finally lifted the lid on the Persona 4 remake during this year's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Games Showcase, and apparently than this new info suggests.

Moreover, the dominant narrative in the comments is that Persona 6 is probably really, really far away from releasing based on the above information. Sega has yet to announce or eve🔯n explicitly confirm the project's existence, and that alone is a semi-reliable indicator that it's still a few years out, but that hasn't stopped comments like these from being posted all over the place.

In its presentation, Sony says it's releasing "four mainstay titles and more" during the same fiscal year ending in March 2027, but assuming one of those is Persona 4 Revival, it does seem less likely that Persona 6 will also be one of those titles. That said, Sega isn't necessarily bound by anything it says in these slides, so it's remotely possible that it shifts priorities or🐟 drops a surprise on us at some point. Or maybe I'm just huffing hopium as a fellow JRPG sicko and Persona 6 hopeful.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Bethesda Game Studios executive producer Todd Howard, long thought of as the face of the company, seems like a cool dudeꦅ. That's it. That's the news.

Despite being at the top of one of the biggest video game developers in the world, Howard h꧋as always come across as an exceptionally down-to-earth person, often speaking candidly in interviews and without the sort of media-trained filter you'd expect from an executive of his level. It also seems like .

It was perhaps no surprise then that Bethesda ꩲsent copies of Oblivion: Remastered to the Skyblivion mod team back☂ in April and assured them it has no intention of shutting down the p♊roject. For the uninitiated, Skyblivion is a fan-made remake of Oblivion being built in Skyrim, which for a more litigious company could easily be grounds for a lawsuit.

With that in mind, it might be even less surprising, but nonetheless wholesome as hell, to learn that Bethesda actually invited the Skyblivion team to its headquarters, where the modde𒆙rs had the chance to sit down 🐻with Howard for what sounds like quite a lot of time.

Talking to ಌ, Skyblivion project lead Rebelzize said he was taken aback by just how excited Howard was to nerd out about his ambitious mod.

"He could have stopped by for 10 minutes, shook some hands and then walked off," Rebelzize said. "He's in a position to do that, but he was genuinely so interested in talking to every single person that was there and about what they do in real life, and what they do in the project. It was j𓄧ust a really fant🍎astic culture all around. There's a lot of lot of passion and love in that company."

I don't know what else to add here; I'm just truly happy for the Skyblivion team. The project began back in 2012, shortly after the release of Skyrim, and I don't think anyone could've predicted at the time that an official Oblivion remake would launch in 2025, the same year Skyblivion itself is supposed to come out. The modders have been great sports about the whole thing, and I'm sure the visit to Bethesda HQ was just the motivation they needed to get the project over the finish line.

In the meantime, why not read some stuff about 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Elder Scrolls 6?

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> While it may be set to the '80s alt-rock fuzz of bands like Lush and Roxy Music, upcoming narrative adventure game 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mixtape impressed us at both and Tribeca Film Festival this year with how its demo plays out like a timeless dream – which developer Beethoven and Dinosaur's produce♛r Woody sౠuggests is part of the point.

"We don't have an ideal player," Woody says, "we don't make our games with a target player or audience in mind. We make our weird little games an💮d hope people can find some escape and enjꦅoyment, maybe some respite from the current cursed reality we find ourselves in."

"After The Artful Escape, we knew we wanted to do another music adjacent game, but weren't really set on anything," he continues. Beethoven and Dinosaur's last game from 2021, 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Artful Escape, similarly followed a teenager with rock star aspirations, and the game was also published by Annapurna, like Mixtape will be; in our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Artful Escape review, we think the platformer game offers "up an entrancing psychedelic w𓂃orld that is somehow still half-dormant, waiting for a few chords to help burst it open at the seams in explosions of colors and lasers."

The Mixtape protagonists ride a car on the beach under fireworks

Mixtape, set among the mowed lawns and identical driveways of an American suburb, is visually more restrained than that, but its protagonists nonetheless continue to prove Beethoven and Dinosaur's point: good music is transformative. So, Mixtape's best friends let songs like "" supercharge their shopping cart joyrides on the 𒉰night of their last high school party ♚together.

I wonder how true Mixtape's mischief is to its developers' experiences, and Woody𒁏 answers that, "I mean, I have ridden in a shopping cart that was tied to the back of a dirt bike and was getting towed around a cow paddock. Ended about as well as you can expect, including a nice scar and cow shit."

Anyway, also on the topic of shit, some aspects of young adulthood are universal – regardless of whether you experience them from Ronald Reagan's suburbs or, I guess, an iPhone 1 Million in 🍌a few decades.

Like, most kids feel "that whirlpool of feelings💟 that is wanting to be something so bad, but you don't know what that something is yet," Woody says.

"Every band you hear, every film you see – grabbing onto those [things] so tightly, as a way to define and anchor yourself, to be able to say this, this, is who I am," Woody continues.

"Everything always feels like it's the most important thing that's ever happened to you. It's aಌ wild time."

Mix⛄tape will be out some time this year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Serie✅s X|S.

Mixtape sent a sherpa up a mountain to get the rights to use a song, and Grand Theft Auto has "nothing on our toilet paper tech."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is going back 💮to🐻 the long-running JRPG series' roots with turn-based combat and a more "old school" approach, according to series producer Junzo Hosoi.

Hosoi told that the most recent entry in the series, Atelier Yumi𒉰a: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, was an attempt to expand the series' appeal "by proactively implementing action-packed battle elements and a❀n open-world system, which are recent trends i♋n the console RPG scene."

Despite becoming the fastest selling entry in the series and receiving generally favorable critical reviews, Yumia saw mixed reviews from within the Atelier comm🅷unity largely due to its many divergences from JRPG and series conventions. Seemingly in response, developer Gust wants to give longtime fans something much m🍎ore familiar with the next release.

"We have always been making turn-based RPGs, and we've noticed that many of our fans want exactly that," Hosoi said. "That is why we wanted to create another console game which we could take in a completely different direction than Yumia and expand on the 'old-school Atelier' experience – and that is how the new Atelier♍ Resleriana came to be."

Hosoi added that the new Resleriana, not to be confused with the mobile game Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, "inherits the creative direction and spirit of Atelier Sophie 2," the 23rd game i🔯n ဣthe series, released on PC and consoles in 2022.

In addition to fully turn-based battles, The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is a return to form by way of having six-character parties divided into a frontline and backline, character-specific items and equipment slots that are uni🤡que to each alchemist, as꧙ well as skill trees and randomized dungeons.

The town shop management system from old-school Atelier games is also back, directly influencing the story with unlockable areas and characters based on that shop sim pr♋ogression🌊.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Final Fantasy 14 producer and director Naoki 'Yoshi-P' Yoshida has apologized for the current state of the MMO, and has shared some changes coming to some of Dawntrail's latest misses, Occult Crescent and Cosmic Exploration, to remedy fans' disappointmeꦇnt.

As per tradition, the Final Fantasy 14 team has held a stream to show off what's coming next. While a fair amount o🦋f patch 7.3 was on show, a large part of the broadcast was dedicated to Yoshida addressing some fan concerns about the latest Field Operations and lifestyl🍰e content and what's been done about it.

While the stream is predominantly in Japanese, the broad strokes are poste🦂d in English across Final Fantasy 14's socials, and you can find more in-depth translation efforts over on and the . As per t🎐hose sources, Yoshida begins by apologizing for the lower quality of service fans have been experiencing lately, such as the increasingly frequent need for hotfixes to flatten bugs.

To remedy that, Yoshida says he has spoken to the rele🍎vant teams and expressed concern that everyone might be too comfortable with allowing these sorts of things to become more common. Yoshida also apparently notes that the team has grown substantially and that🥃 implementing major new content has been difficult, but is determined to remedy that as well.

Speaking of major new content, Yoshida then addresses some pain points with Occult Crescent. One of the bigger questions is why the Forked Tower raid doesn't offer both a 'Norma꧂l' and 'Savage' version, to which Yoshida answers that it was down to cost. Thankfully, he also notes that future instances of Occ💞ult Crescent will implement both difficulty versions.

Additionally, if you're keen to enter the raid with a pre-formed 48-player alliance, then the option will arrive as part of Patch 7.3 – just in a rough and ready state. Currently, your best hope of doing🔜 the Forked Tower is by jumping into Occult Crescent and hoping enough people show up in your instance to join and complete the encounter.

Considering that the new Alliance-style raid has apparently only𝓡 been cleared 400 times in 23 days, it sounds like the tweℱaks are needed.

As for Cosmic Exploration, the highlights include mount availability for ease of movement, adjusted time limits 🍌for some stellar missions, and better visibility for sequential missions. Other tweaks are being considered, though Square Enix is gathering more data first.

Final Fantasy 14 has had a tough time of it over the past year or so. The Dawntrai꧟l expansion didn't get things off to the best of starts, though th💦e roadmap leading to the MMO's next expansion had fans hoping for a Stormblood-style comeback.

While the raid and battle content on offer has been consistently superb, Occult Crescent and Cosmic Exploration gave fans hope that the MMO would have something for everyone. Casuals could come and 𒐪go to catch up with the story, hardcore players could smash the raids to bits, and everyone else looking for the midcore content between could hang out while engaging with Occult Crescent and Cosmic Exploration.

Now, 澳洲幸运5开奖号🅠码历史查询:Patch 7.2 did get things off to a good start, as reflected in the Steam reviews. However, the subsequent patch that introduced Cosmic Exploration kicked 🌼off a community de♓bate on FOMO and time-gating, whereas the patch after that, which introduced Occult Crescent, saw the recent Steam reviews for FF14's Dawntrail expansion sink t꧟o "Mostly Negative." You see how we got here, hm?

Moving forward, Final Fantasy 14 has patch 7.3 to look forward t🐬o, which'll introduce even more new content to the mix. That, alongside some fixes for Occult Crescent and Cosmic Exploration, should hopefully return the MMO to surer footing.

Final Fantasy 14 devs know some fans found Field Operations "boring," but it's helped make Occult Crescent better: "We hope those kinds of players will be sure to try it out."

Kojima now says on Twitter that he has completed work on the trailer, which is set to arrive when Death Stranding 2 launches on June 26. In celebration of the trailer being finished, Kojima Productions hosted a watch party for it. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> While they started making their way to the shelves years ago, mainstream brands have only just started competing to release the best Hall effect gaming keyboard in the last few months. Logitech, Corsair, SteelSeries, NZXT have all put their names to these magnetic clackers in 2025 so far, and considering the advantages they bring to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming keyboards it'💫s well worth🐷 considering one for your next setup upgrade.

Why opt for magnetic switches? For custo🎀mizable actuation points.

A mechanical switch is either on or off, but Hall effect keyboards measure a magnetic field around a switch to know exactly how far down a keypress you are at any given moment. One your keyboard knows that, yꦐou can start adjusting the moment at which your switch re൲gisters an input. Many also double-down on these features, offering multi-point actuation - half-press for one function and simply bottom-out for another.

I've had my mitts all over the latest and greatest Hall effect gaming keybo🍸ards, but narrowed the market down to the four you should be checking out if you're interested in making the change.

The Quick List

  1. Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE |
  2. SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 |
  3. Endgame Gear KB65HE |
  4. Corsair K70 Pro TKL |

Some terms you should know

Hall effect gaming keyboards are still young, which means there's still relatively new terminology♎ to learn if you're going to make the most of this guide. Whether you're buying your first gaming keyboard or have simply been out of the game for a little while, I'v🅺e got you covered with the basics.

Actuation

Actuation is the process b꧑y which a keyboard switch registers an ✤input.

Actuation point

The actuation point of a switch is 🧔the distance it needs to be pushed downwards for the keyboard to register a keypress.

Multi-point actuation

Multi-point actuation is a key feature of most Hall effect ga🐽ming keyboards. It allows multiple inputs to be set at different actuation points. For example, you can configure a half-press on W to register as 🐭move forward and a full press on W to register as sprint forwards.

Actuation range

The maximum and minimum amount of distance a magnetic key can be pushed to register an input. Thi🐻s is your rang𓂃e of motion when setting up your customized switched.

Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE |
Save $103 - The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE has dropped its mammoth MSRP for a slightly more a൲ppetizing $266 sales price at Amazon this weekend. It's only ever been cheaper once before, and that was only by around $20.

Size: 75%
Connection: 2.4GHz / Bluetooth / Wired
Adjustment range:
0.1mm - 4mm
Multi-point actuation:
Four-step
Keycaps:
Dye sublimated PBT

Great for:

✅ New modders
✅ Macro power users
✅ Wireless setups

Avoid if:

❌ You don't need to invest in high-end features

Tested on: Apex Legends, CS:2, Fallout 4, As﷽sassin'🐷s Creedy Odyssey

UK:

A lot of Hall effect gaming keyboards opt for a wired connection due to those power-hungry switches, but not the GMMK 3 Pro HE. This is a 2.4GHz and Bluetooth deck, making for a much tidier setup overall. Of course, you're paying for that cable-free connection, with the highest MSRP featured on thꦍis list.

The GMMK 3 Pro HE earns that luxury rate, though, with four-step actuation rather than the usual two-step (two functions can be programmed on the way down and another two on the way up). This is also an entirely modular design, which means you can swap out everything from ൩the switch plate to the case𓂃 itself later on if you need to. Having broken my fair share of custom keyboards, I would have loved this deck when starting out.

This is my top Hall effect pick overall - not only does ✃it offer more features than cheaper decks below, but it also comes in with a gorgeous typing feel thanks to a robust gasket 🅘mounting and sound dampening system.

2. SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3

SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 |
Save $20 - Walmart has $20 off the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 this weekend, and the lowest price on the 🃏web right now. I have seen those numbers tick down to $197.99 in the past, so this could bꦉe one to watch.

Size: TKL
Connection:
Wired
Adjustment range:
0.1mm - 4mm
Multi-point actuation: Two-step
Keycaps: Doubleshot PBT

Great for:

✅ Multi-point actuation feel
✅ Rapid trigger
✅ Discord power-users

Avoid if:

❌ You want magnetic switches on everything

Tested on: CS:2, Hogwarts Legacy, Assassin's Creed𒊎 Odyssey, Final Fantasy XVI, Fallout 4

UK:

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3ꦡ is the best Hall effect gaming keyboard for most players who don't want to spend more than $300 on the Glorious deck. This is a pedigree line, SteelSeries jumped on the magnetic bandwagon well before competitors like Corsair and Logitech. They've had time to refine that feel, then, and the result is one of the most satisfying sets of clackers I've used so far.

What really sets this TKL keyboard apart though, is how those switches feel all the way down the press. There's a real sense of texture in the weight of these keys, which means I have a much better time of telling how far I am down the stem of the switch. That se🃏nsory information makes actually hitting the desired actuation point (and no more) for a function assigned to a half-press all the more accurate.

The Apex Pro also benefits from 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Rapid Trigger and SOCD controls as well. Handily, the OLED display can - among other things - sho✃w all your Discord notifications to boot.

The downsides? It might be the best, but it's also the♏ most expensive Hall effect gaming keyboard on this list, and only the alphanumeric keys feature those magnetic switches. The rest are standard mechanical clickers.

3. Endgame Gear KB65HE

Endgame Gear KB65HE |
The Endgame Gear KB65HE doesn't see its own discounts too often, but it's already priced towards the bottom of the Hall effect gaming keyboard range. Amazon has it at $139.99 right now, with 🌟no stock available at Best Buy or Walmart.

Size: 65%
Connection: Wired
Adjustment range: 0.1mm - 4mm
Multi-point actuation: None
Keycaps: Doubleshot PBT

Great for:

✅ Typing
✅ Compact setups
✅ Easy actuation changes

Avoid if:

❌ You want multi-point actuation

Tested on: Apex Legends, CS﷽:GO, We Hap♒py Few, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, House Flipper

UK:

The Endgame Gear KB65HE has been around for just over a year now, but it's still fended off the competiti𒈔on from newer models. Why has it stuck around as one of the best Hall effect decks ✃for so long? It's built incredibly well.

This is a pure brick of aluminum with a set of high-quality Ducky PBT keycaps up top. That means a gorgeously textured typing feel with the stability and sound absorption of a sturdy case with extra s🌳ound dampening baked in. Most Hall effect gaming keyboards stick with plastic cases these days, to keep the costs associated with those more premium switches to a minimum.

What you trade up for in feel and build quality, though, you do lose in functionality. It's a damn sight cheaper than SteelSeries' larger (plastic-cased) Apex model, but it still comes with a full range of actuation points available (0.1mm - 4mm) and Rapid Trigger controls. There's no multi-point actuation here, though, which is a big drop compared to other more expensive 🌟b📖uilds that focus more on gaming macros than typing feel.

4. Corsair K70 Pro TKL

Corsair K70 Pro TKL |
Save $30 - The Corsair K70 Pro TKL is down to $149.99 at Amazon right now, and don't believe everything you read - this isn't a mechanical keyboard. On Corsair's own site, it lists the K70 Pro as a Hall effect magnetic deck. This is the deck's go-to sales price, though it did briefly drop to $120 for a day b💜ack in 🦩February.

Avoid if:

❌ You want an easy software

Tested on: Apex Legends, CS2, Indiana Jones and🔯 the Great Circle, Avowed, Oxenfree 2, ๊Fallout 4

UK:

If 𓄧you're climbing competitive online rank tables, you'll want a Hall effect gaming keyboard with plenty of speed under the hood.

That's where Corsair comes in. This is an esports-focused line of keyboards, with the 8,000Hz polling rate to prove it, but the latest model꧑ throws magnetic Hall effect switches into the mix as well. While the typing experience is still slightly clunky with softer switches compared to the competition, this is a particularly speedy model.

Dial things up to 0.1mm and stick the K70 Pro TKL into its top polling mode, and you've got one of the fastest decks on the market right now - all with♉ the additional functionality of dual-step act𒐪uations and rapid trigger as well.

Just watch out if you're in the UK, this deck ships with oily ABS keycaps o🍬utside of꧒ the US.

How to choose a Hall effect gaming keyboard

Close up on enter key on Ducky One X without RGB shinethrough - in comparison to surrounding white keycaps which do

If you're stuck for choice, it's worth considering what you want to play, how you tend to play it, and which quality of life features are must-haves. In general, I recommend most players check out Hall effect gaming keyboards with a 0.1 - 4mm range of actuation. If you really don't think you'll use dual-step features there are decks available withoutꦑ them (at a slightly lower price) as well.

Outside of making sure you're getting a good range of actuation points and all your multi-point features are taken care of🐽, it's worth stepping away from the switches themselves.

If you know you need a wireless connection, for example, your list of options is going to shrink considerably (and your price is going to increase). If you don't mind a cable on your desk you can get away with paying much less, and can instead focus on what kind𝔉 of addit♔ional media controls, navigation keys, and RGB lighting features you want.

Building a list of these additional features can help you focus on the features that matter most to you. There's no point in paying for kit you won't use𒐪 and different decks make different sacrifices to keep their prices competitive. Finding the r🍃ig that shares your priorities will net you the best value.

For example, I don't care too much about a wireless connection. It's a nice to have, but I'd rather s🌊pend that money on a larger deck with dedicated playback controls built in because I tend to listen to music while working and playing. I don't prioritize PBT keycaps straight out of the box as I have my own collection. I also don't mind a slower polling rate as I rarely play in online competitive modes (and I'm not good enough to notice it anyway). I'm a fan of deep, sound-dampened thoccs as well, so I'll definitely have room in a budget for a gasket mounted and heavily padded case.

That means I prefer to pay less for a wired deck with cheaper ABS keycaps, but will up that budget slightly for a 75% 𒀰or TKL deck with dedicated media control🐼s and a gasket mounted design.

How I test Hall effect gaming keyboards

Every Hall effect gaming keyboard I test slots straight into my daily work and play activity. That means it's run on whatever I'm working 🍌on at that time, and whatever's whirring away in my Steam library. Being able to live with these keyboards outside of a sterile 𒐪testing environment means I experience them as you will.

I unbox them, set them up, and explore all the features within my own setup and with each deck's main🉐 competitors off to the side for easy comparison. It also means I can test battery lives, smaller software quirks😼, productivity controls, and long term comfort in a realistic setting. I'm testing for speed, reliability, and functionality yes, but more importantly I'm exploring how a keyboard actually feels to run and how it slots into every day life.

Outside of that initial period, I more thoroughly test latencies, response timesཧ, and actuation pressures across CS:2 and Apex Legends. I explore all available switch customization options, and test across all available connection methods. Finally, once I've had enough time to fully bed in with each deck, I complete three typing tests on TypingTest.com to find my average speed and accuracy with the deck at hand.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 2025 is the year of Obsidian Entertainment. Formed 22 years ago, the legendary RPG maker resp🅰onsible for Pillars of Eternity, Fallout: New Vegas, Alpha Protocol and countless other video games is on something of a hot streak.

Microsoft Gaming purchased Obsidian in 2018, folding the team into the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Studios group. Since then it has wrapped production of The Outer Worlds; released Grounded, supporting it through years of early access and regular content drops; released Pentiment in 2022, and Avowed in 2025 following a short delay; and managed to bring Grounded and Pentiment to PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch as part of Microsoft's multiplatform initiative. If that weren't enough, it also has 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2 and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Grounded 2 set to release this year.

It's a lot, particularly for a first-party studio operating within the Xbox ecosystem. I was keen to understand how the studio has managed this flood of new releases, and thankfully the teams at 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Obsidian Entertainment were only too happy to answer.

Inside Grounded 2

When Xbox revealed Grounded 2 at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Showcase, it announced t🎐hat "Obsidian and Eidos Montréal have joined forces to bring you the next chapter with even more depth, danger, and discovery to experience." The way development responsibilities have been split between the two award-winning teams says a lot about the flexibility Obsidian has been a꧟fforded by Xbox Game Studios.

"Grounded 2 is actually a good example of our growth as a developer. We coul🌱d not do what we're doing right now if we didn't have great development partners and co-dev partners," says Feargus Urquhart, studio head and CEO at Obsidian. "That's one of the big tranཧsitions for us"

Urquhart says that it has long been his ambition for Obsidian to scale beyond the boundaries of a traditional studio, simply shifting from one project to the next. "With Pillars of Eternity 2, we signed up a publisher late because we really wanted to start publishing games ourselves. We didn't really have the people internally, so we hired some people in but it didn't really work out. So unlike 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:CD Projekt RED, BioWare, and others who were on the cusജp of becoming publishers we weren't getting there."

"We wound up talking to Eidos about some other stuff and it turned out that they ha൩d a small team who absolutely loved Grounded"

Chris Parker, game director

"This isn't me saying that Microsoft is allowing us to become a publisher♎," he laughs. "It's more that the acquisition has allowed us to become a more multi-faceted developer, which is what I've always wanted to do." This is a key component behind how Obsidian has been able to scale so quickly, and maintain such a rapid-fire release schedule. Urquhart adds: "It's allowed us to sign up external teams. There's not a lot of studios at Micrꦬosoft that have an entire external developer making the whole game for them."

Grounded 2 has been in development for just under two years, meaning it entered production around a year a𓂃fter the release of Grounded 1.0 and a year before the survival-adventure made its way to PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Around this same time, Obsidian was juggling development of Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2. Grounded attracted over 25 million 🏅players into the backyard, it's popular and there were demands for more; but how could Obsidian have possibly squeezed in a sequel?

"The Grounded team was relatively small, it maxed out in the 20s," says Chris Parker, Obsidian co-fꦬounder and Grounded 2 game director. "When we started thinking about doing Grounded 2 it was fortuitous how it worked out, actually, because we wound up talking to Eidos about some other stuff and it turned out that they had a small team who absolutely loved Grounded. They were almost pitching us on the sequel."

Grounded 2 screenshot

From there꧅ a "signiꦡficant team up at Eidos" and a "relatively large group at Obsidian" came together to push Grounded 2 through production. Grounded 1's game director Adam Brennecke, its lead programmer Roby Atadero, art director Kazunori Aruga, along with six other principal leads and a small internal steering group at Obsidian joined Parker to collaborate closely with Eidos. "We are constantly at each other's offices. We're talking about stuff daily. It's a really healthy relationship. And because they actually love the game at Eidos, it's not like this dispassionate contractor that we've hired. They are bringing all their own stuff to the table," says Parker.

Grounded 2 producer Miles Winzeler adds: "Obsidian and Eidos have similar design goals as studios. We mesh really well together. It's also the difference between the two of them that's been a big strength. It means Grounded 2 will feel like its own piece, as they are able to flex what they're best at, to⛦o."

Enduring Relationships

Urquhart uses Voltron as his point of reference to describe how external teams join together with Obsidian to create something bigger, more powerful. He tells me that before the 2018 acquisition into the Xbox Game Studios group, Obsidian largely handled work in-house outside of VO, QA, and localization departme🧸nts. But support from Xbox has allowed the studio to expand here in all areas of design, and reconnect with friends and former developers from across the years.

Obsidian is collabor🌞ating with Aspiring Unicorn, UI and UX experts working across The Outer Worlds 2. There's a relationship with Digimancy Entertainment, founded by Obsidian veteran George Ziets, and with Beamdog – co-founded by Trent Oster of BioWare, who Urquhart first encountered while working on Shattered Steel at Interplay two decades ago. Urquhart is quick to 🌊shout about these relationships (and plenty more of them). Both as an example of the ensuring legacy of Obsidian and how the studio is able to grow the scope of its projects without growing the studio too quickly.

"The idea is not toไ be doing way more than what we're doin🌳g right now"

Feargus Urquhart, studio head and CEO

Still, I wonder whether an increasing reliance on co-dev and outsourcing risks diminishing the identity of an Obsidian game. Urquhart says it's better to think of it as augmenting. With the right people in place, scaling this way is only to the benefit of the games coming out of the studio. "The person in charge of the day-to-day collaboration with Eidos Montreal is Chris Parker, right. He was the producer on Baldur's Gate 2 and he has this length of experience working with external developers. It comes back to this question of, 'What are our s❀trengths?' 'Do we have the people who do these things?'"

"The idea is not to be doing way more than what we're doing right now, but I think we've hit a really good size and a really good amount of things we can do. I can still be involved in all of it too, and not lose my mind – at least♌ no more than I already have," he laughs. "You know, Obsidian was founded by three producers, a designer, and a programmer. The intent was always to do this with our projects. Back then it was a little bit more f💃or survival, now it's because I think it makes us better game makers."

The Heart of Obsidian

Working with external development partners is one piece of the puzzle, but not the entire picture. One way Obsidian is able to unleash Avowed, Grounded 2, and The Outer Worlds 2 within a single year is partly because of its ethos as a group: "Perfect is the enemy of the good," says Urquhart. "Our job is to mak🐭e amazing games, not perfect games."

In a world where six-to-eight years is threatening to become the standard timeframe for AAA, first-party game development, seeing Obsidian become so prolific has been great to watch from a distance♕. Taken at an individual level, the studio is deliver🌠ing exceptionally fun titles that share a consistent quality – they aren't necessarily changing the video game industry in a fundamental way, but then I suspect that they aren't supposed to.

"We've made sure to never lose the muscle memory of having multi🍌ple teams, and of having the team💃s build off of each other"

Justin Britch, executive producer

"There was a big push for a long time of everything needing to be bigger, better, and perfect, and 'ahhhh'," screams Urquhart, before chuckling: "hey, you know what 'ahhhh' means." What he's saying here is that this need for first-party studios to be operating on a level above the rest of the industry "can lead to trying to move on too many fronts at once." He adds: "That's the biggest thing for us, identifying what we are good at, wh෴at we can do with the time that we have, and then just focus on the content that we're creating – because that's what the player actually plays!"

The sentiment that "our job is to make amazing games, not perfect games" feels like a healthy outlook to have. The industry is in a bit of a difficult position right now. The cost of video game development is spiralling, with some of that cost starting to come back on the consumer – The Outer Worlds 2 will be Xbox's first game priced at $80. The playerbase is increasing, albeit focused on a smaller selection of titles thanks in no small part to the live-service explosion in 2017. And it seems like we're barely able to go a month without some prominent, legendary development studio suffering layoffs (something the Xbox Game Studios group hasn't been immune to either). Is there not a pressure to deliver "perfect" in🍌 this environment?

"Nobody at Xbox is putting that pressure on us," says Marcus Mor🌞gan, executive producer of Grounded 2. "But it's there in the back of our minds, right? It's something we think about, and something we talked a lot about early on. There were even some moments of like, teenage years, growing through becoming a first-party studio where we wrestled with that pressure."

The Outer Worlds 2 screenshot

"In one of the first meetings that we had with [Matt Booty, president of game content and studios] and the rest of Xbox after the acquisition, they asked us to continue being true to who we are and they𓂃 have given us the space to do that. We've made sure to never lose the muscle memory of having multiple teams, and of having the teams build off of each other. We haven't lost that rhythm post-acquisition," adds Justin Britch, executive producer of The Outer Worlds 2.

"Every studio has🐓 its own role to play in the industry, and its own role to play within the organization that it's in… We want to make games that we'reꦡ really proud of and get them out into the world. That's our role, and we've been really fortunate to be able to do that within the Xbox ecosystem."

Building On The Past

Both Morgan and Britch point to Obsidian operating with multiple teams shifting betwee🐟n projects as a point of pride. "We've always been a multi-project studio," says Morgan. "We always have multiple teams working on multiple games, which is somewhat unique – especially in the first-party ecosystem."

This way of operating, Britch tells me, intersects directly with another focus for Obsidian: "We have a principal at the studio about building on past🌠 success. Some of the studios who I really admire have this iterative approach and keep building on a formula.🦩 We try to do the same. We try to keep pushing things forward while recognizing what really worked well; we don't need to reinvent the things that really matter."

"That's a component of how we're able to ship multiple games and keep shipping them, because we're so focused on building on our past successes, making them better while making sure that we aren't throwing everything out and starting over every time, because that can make iꦉt take a really long time to bring out new games," he adds.

"We're just becoming what we've always wan𓃲ted to become"

Feargus Urquhart, studio head and CEO at Obsidian

"Another major thing is that you learn when you ship," says Urquhart, speaking to Obsidian's dedication to shorter development cycles. "Not only do you learn because you actually finish a project, but you learn because your game goes out there and people tell you what they really think of it. The longer you go between those cycles,🐓 the less you're learning."

At this point Urquhart points to Baldur's Gate 3 as an example, something that happens countless times during our conversation – clearly the Larian RPG is on the veteran RPG maker's mind♉. "The only reason Baldur's Gate 3 can exist is because Divinity Original Sin 2 existed. If Larian took 10 years to develop Original Sin and then 10 years to develop Original Sin 2, then there's no Baldur's gate 3. That's what's super important to me. The idea is that when we ship, we learn; the pursuit of perfection leads to not shipping."

Avowed new screenshot

A phrase that Urquhart likes to wheel out is "🍷constraints breed creativity." What's interesting here is that, for Obsidian, the constraints seem self-imposed. There's a strong impulse to continue itera🃏ting on its foundations, rather than rip them up to try and build something more audacious. A desire to work with external developers and partners rather than grow too quickly, a mind-share of expertise internally and across the industry. And it's in the combination of all of these things which has allowed Obsidian to become the most prolific studio within the Xbox Game Studios group.

"Remember, even the work that's done outside of Obsidian comes back inside the building, and that builds on what we're doing" says Urquhart. "There's technology from Grounded that's in Avowed, technology from Avowed that's in Grounded 2, and so on. I'm super thankful that Microsoft has allowed us to build out this group of developers and support networks, and that it just lets us be… Obsidian. We're just becoming what we've always wanted to become, which is this more wel🐼l-rounded group 🅘who is able to take on a lot more of the stuff that we've always wanted to do."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Following 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Bethesda Game Studios' long-awaited release of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史൲查询:The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, the creative minds behind projects like 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Skyblivion and Skywind have been hard at work on their own upcoming launches – ones🍨 that may even rival Bethesda's RPG.

Speaking to in a new interview, The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project lead Rebelzize explains why Skyblivion might iron out some of Oblivion's most well-known issues – as well as those still present in the remaster. "I think for a lot of people that play Oblivion now, it will be frustrating at times," begins the Skyblivion lead, going on to describe how "there'꧙s just old game design that doesn't ⛎really translate anymore."

Rebelzize continues, explainܫing that a few of those frustrations are in Oblivion Remastered as well – but not in Skyblivion, which is a positive for the fan-created project. "Some of that is still present in the remaster from Bethesda themselves, because they've not remade it, which is a key difference [from Skyblivion], which is good for us." That's why, even though the official remaster is still fresh on fans' minds, there's also room for Skyblivion.

"We still have something to offer in that we have more or less redesigned every aspect of the game,"𓆏 says Rebelzize, giving the example of Skyrim allowing you to loop back to where you started once you've reached a boss chamber. Meanwhile, in both the original 2006 Oblivion and the newer release, "most of the time there's nothing at the end," be it in the form of a boss or loot to "make that delve rewarding."

In Bethesda's games, "once you've done that very unrewarding delve, you have to backtrack all the way" – but not in Skyblivion. Rebelzize has been "trying to really hammer on" the idea of ensuring that "we make the dungeons fun. And if a dungeon serves no other purpose tha♛n to just distract someone from what they're doing, then it can't just be a bear den – you know, with a really big black bear – at t🍎he end."

There's also more to do oꦚutside of dungeons in Skyblivion, too, because let's face it – in many instances, Oblivion can feel like a walking simulator. Even though it can "look really good from a distance, because it has those really lush forests, but once you're in a forest, there's usually nothing betwee🐲n city A and city B," as Rebelzize puts it. The fan-led team's ability to add new details is "where the power of a proper remake comes from."

It's also "where I hope we will have some relevance and staying power within internet culture and the Elder Scrolls fandom," Rebelzize concludes. His words certainly offer a lot to look forward to in Skyblivion, and it feels pretty safe to say The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project creators aren't worried about their release clashing with Bethesda's remaster, either. After all, Rebelzize previously said "both projects can exist" and "players are the tr✨ue winners" here.

He also admitted the official remake 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:"changes nothing" about Skyblivion, with plans for "bug fixes and the DLC" alreaꦡdy in place, too.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Action games have taken a turn over the last decade or so. While everyone was chasing the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Devil May Cry train during the 2000s, once FromSoftware birthed the Soulslike genre, the genre has pivoted. The likes of The First Berserker: Khazan or 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Stellar Blade would pull m🅘e in with their action game stylings only to reveal the Souls influence, but not everyone is chasing the same trend.

Recently some action games have been pushing back on that and returning to the conventional action style, with the devs of Phantom Blade 0 being extremely insistent that the gam🔯e is ܫnot a soulslike. And now 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Capcom's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Onimusha: Way of the Sword is joining th🧔at wave of classic 🦂action game revivals.

Speaking to , director Satoru Nihei says: "Way of The Sword isn't an open-world game, and it certainly isn't a punishing die-and-retry (soulslike) game either." Nihei added, "While there's no doubt seasoned action-game players will be able to enjoy it, our goal was to make a game ♊which gamers who don't consider action games their forte will also have fun playing. In Way of The Sword, our main focus was to express the clashing of blades through the action."

The original Onimusha titles were linear action games that were more akin to a samurai version of Resident Evil than the more hardcore action game stylings of Devil May Cry (which, ironically, was originally a Resident Evil game). So it's refreshing to hear that the return of the series after almost two decades is sticking to its guns in an industry ꦚwhere that type of game is far less common, at least in the mainstream AAA part of it.

Ninja Gaiden 4 devs say "Soulslikes have kind of taken center stage" since the last installment in the series, but "we are going against the trend in that way."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Pꦿlayers are clamouring for news about a Splitgate 2 ranked mode or playlist, which isn't a surprise. FPS games are highly competitive and ranked modes allow players to test their mettle against some of the best and prove their worth, but it's often one of those❀ features not considered essential for launch and arrives in a later update instead. Plenty of folks are wondering if ranked mode is in Splitgate 2 yet or not, so we have the details.

Want to know our thoughts on how this sequel compares to the first game, and how it performs as a new multiplayer shooter in 2025? Then check out our full 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Splitgate 2 review for the lowdown.

Splitgate 2 ranked mode explained

Unfortunately, there is no ranked mode in Splitgate 2 at the time of writing. This is disappointing giveꦛn the first game had an immensely popular ranked playlist, but it isn't all doom and gloom.

During a Q&A stream with the devs, they confirmed ranked mode would be coming within a month of launch. This is also mention𓄧ed, albei🌞t with slightly less specificity, in the , which claims it's "coming in the near future".

On the official Splitgate subreddit, /u/Brodrian, the Splitgate 2 community manager, we "will not have to wait until October for it" and that "it will be arriving in the next few weeks". Given that comment was made on May 22, 🔯it's safe to assume a ranked mode is imminent in Splitgate 2. Finally, the revealed there will be an "update on [ranked mode] soon".

As for what the ranked mode will look like, in the aforementioned stream, the devsও confirmed it would be ꧒the standard 4v4 arena mode. All the other modes, such as 24-player onslaught, gun game, and battle royale will be reserved for casual playlists only. This means you're going to want to get three of your finest sharpshooting friends together to go head-to-head with other teams in ranked to stand the best chance of climbing the ranks.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> When I sat down with leaders from the Xbox hardware and Xbox ecosystem divisions a couple of weeks ago, it was to get an early look at two new consoles. The ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X, handheld gaming PCs that have been brought tꦏo life as part of a surprise🎃 collaboration between ASUS, Xbox, AMD, and the Windows division at Microsoft.

What became clear is that this isn't the existing ROG Ally systems with a simple Xbox rebrand, but rather an effort to finely tune the internal hardware and operating system to make a Windows-powered handheld feel as if it's a part of the broader Xbox ecosystem. I also started to wonder whether this work was a sign of wh♏at's to come from Xbox – an open borders approach to building a sustainable platform, unlike anything we've seen from any of the primary competitors in the console market.

"This is all about building you 🏅a gaming platform that always stays with you"

Sarah Bond, president of Xbox

What I didn't expect was for Xbox p🐓resident Sarah Bond to come out this week and suggest ex🌞actly that. "At Xbox, our vision is for you to play the games that you want, with the people you want, anywhere you want. That's why we're investing in our next generation hardware lineup across console, PC, cloud, and accessories," says Bond. "This is all about building you a gaming platform that always stays with you. So that you🔯 can play the games that you want, across devices, anywhere you want, delivering you an Xbox experience not locked to a single store, or tied to one device."

With this statement, and news that Xbox entered into a "multi-year 🅘partnership with AMD to co-engineer silicone across a platform of devices, including our next-generation Xbox consoles", it's worth𝐆 reevaluating the ROG Xbox Ally X to see what it may suggest about the future of Xbox hardware.

The AI Of It All

Let's start with what we know. The next Xbox console will be powered by AMD chips, just like the Xbox Series X. What we don't know is why artificial intelligence is part of the conversation. "Together with AMD, we are advancing the state of art in gaming silicon to deliver the next-generation in gꦯꦦraphics innovation to unlock a deeper level of visual quality, immersive gameplay, and player experiences enhanced with the power of AI," says Bond.

It remains unclear how artificial intelligence is going to enhance the way games play or how we play them, but this isn't the first time that I've heard an Xbox leader talk about AI this month. The ROG Xbox Ally X is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Z2⛎ Extreme, which Roanne Sones – the CVP of gaming devices and ecosystem at Xbox – explains was a "proactive decision on our part to put AI acceleration with dedicated silicon into a handheld form factor."

As for the benefits of AI-powered gaming, I'm still a little fuzzy on the details – just like everybody else – although this AMD partnership does mean that the next-gen Xbox won't have DLSS support, which is the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:AI upscaling technology Nvidia ▨has deployed on PC and ♍Switch 2 with solid results in boosting performance and system efficiency.

"We do believe thatღ the way you will interact with AI is through the voice"

Roanne Sones, CVP of gaming devices and ecosystem

"Fundamentally, it's hardware's job to push🧜 the boundaries of what could be possible, put that into the hands of players, and then just let developers dream about what can now be done," says Sones of the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. "It's a little bit of a cꦏhicken-and-egg situation, because until we forward bet with the hardware you're never going to get the experiences to really be realized."

Sones also points to the importance of AI being introduced through dedicated silicon, so that "as the innovations come, it's not going to take away from the processing power of the hardware and the performance of the actual gameplay, which is so fundamentalཧly important to what we're building with these products." Another AI element coming to ROG Xbox Ally systems is via a microphone built in𓃲to the console, a future-proofing mechanism. "We do believe that the way you will interact with AI is through the voice. It's the natural way that I think all humans are going to talk to devices in the future."

I can only speculate here, but I do get the sense that the work being done on the ꧒ROG Xbox Ally X is an early indication of the direction Xbox is moving. Does that mean that next-generation Xbox controllers will come with a microphone built-in as standard, allowing you to interface directly with a console in a strange sort-of revival of some Kinect functionality? Not necessarily, Sones is talking specifically about application of AI in a handheld form-factor here; but I also know that it's rare for large companies to invest in (and iterate) new technologies unless it has long-term strategic value.

The Next-Gen Of Windows

While the operating system that powers your Xbox Series X is undoubtedly based on Windows, it is worlds apart from the experience of interfacing with the Xbox app on PC or handheld PCs right now. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that one of the biggest impediments to the Game Pass and Play Anywhere initiatives proliferating more widely to PC players – enough to attract them away from Steam or the Epic Games Store – is because of the quality of that Xbox app experience. It can be rough.

The ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, running on an optimized Windows 11 OS, may change this. "Windows and Xbox, arguably these❀ two organizations have existed separately," says Sones. "So this product ♛has really brought the teams together to work in a very meaningful way." Jason Beaumont, VP of experiences and platforms at Xbox, adds: "We took a lot of the devs who have been working for 20-plus years on the Xbox OS, and they began working on the Windows code base."

When you power on either of the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, you're met with a new full-screen Xbox experience that is exceptionally similar to the one you'd find on Series X. You can easily navigate between your library, recently played games, and more. It also disables a lot of the functions of Winไdows that are surplus🌱 to gaming until you need them. This streamlined OS is one of the reasons why I'm choosing to invest in the ROG Xbox Ally X later this year, rather than just jump at the standard ROG Ally X right now.

"The full screen experience is really a game changer that we've developed in partnership with Windows. It lets Xbox be your gaming home," says Dominique Gordon, senior product manager lead at Xbox. "This isn'🎶t just like the Xbox app running on top of Windows. What's actually happening behind the scenes here is that a bunch of components of Windows that don't have to be required for gaming aren't even loaded, givin🃏g all of that power back to your games."

This, Gordon says, is "the power of Xbox with the full freedom you expect from Windows." It's also an exceptional amount of work. Everybody I've spoken to at Xbox says that this sort of cross-collaboration was necessary to realize its ambition of mov🍃ing into the handheld space, but there's a part of me that wonders whether it's an early indicator of the future of Xbox's platform – potentially even stretching into home console territory.

"The full screen experience is really a game chang𓃲er that we🍸've developed in partnership with Windows"

Dominique Gordon, senior product manager lead

Here's Beaumont again, speaking about this collaboration between Xbox, Windows, AMD, and ASUS. "We have these four teams working together to continually iterate and refine this [handheld PC] experience. If you've played Xbox in the past, you'll know that the features you see on day one aren't the ones that you see on day 30, let alone 60 or 90… As excited as I am for the launch of these handhelds, I'm actually more excited for all the updates that are going to k▨eep coming from our collaboration."

The idea that Xbox's next home console will ess🎐entially be a PC is sure to leave some feeling a little uneasy. I know that I've always veered towards console gaming because of the simplicity; where new games come out of the box optimized and ready to go on my hardware, and the only distraction from my gaming experience is a few notificati🍷ons that friends want to party up and play. Still, if the Windows and Xbox teams have genuinely found a way to combine the flexibility of Windows with the focus of the Xbox platform then I'm willing to keep an open mind here.

The Aggregated Gaming Library

Of everything that Bond had to say about 'next-generation﷽ Xbox' there was one comment that really caught my attention. "This is all about building you a gaming platform that always stays with you. So that you can play the games that you want, across devices, anywhere you want, delivering you an Xbox experience not locked toཧ a single store, or tied to one device."

It's that last line, hinting towards a single point of entry for all of your games, which is where I really wonder whether Xbox's next-gen home console will take the final form of this newfound collaboration between the Xbox and Windows divisions. One of the best fe𝄹atures of the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds is this aggregated gaming library, giving you quick access to all of your games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, Steam, and other PC-based storefronts.

"Because the ROG Xbox Ally is Windows, you can launch and play your PC games natively from both Xbox as wel🐽l as other PC game st🐽ores," says Brianna Potvin, principal software engineering lead at Xbox. "You can also stream your console games through cloud gaming or remote play. What this means is that your whole library, including hundreds of Game Pass games, all of your installed games from leading third-party storefronts, is with you everywhere you go."

"Because the ROG Xbox Ally is Windows, you can launch and play you💖r PC games natively from both Xbox as well as other PC game stores"

Brianna Potvin, princi🔯pal software engineering lead

While the ROG Xbox Ally will only play Xbox games that have PC versions natively, that won't be true of Xbox's next-gen hardw♌are. Bond has already confirmed that Microsoft is "maintaining compatibility with your existing library of Xbox games" so there is still a consol෴e component in place here for whatever Xbox ultimately does next.

Still, this aggregated gaming library is a fe🌺ature that really sells me on the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds over Valve's Steam Deck. All of my games, no matter which storefronts they are scattered between, available from within one ecosystem at the press of a button. It's the sort of feature⛦set that could prove to be a real differentiator in the market if Xbox is able to bring all of this work to a home console environment.

ROG Xbox Ally X dashboard showing game and app switching

Is there a world in which I could, from the comfort of my couch, stream or remote play video games I just so happen to own from one of the various PC storefronts? Let's push it one step further. If the hardware and OS powering a next-gen Xbox console is more aligned with a Windows-based machine, is there a world in which my PC games could play natively, upscaled by AI automated 𓄧systems, while I still enjoy the benefits of titles that are optimized specifically for console hardware?

Xbox, Windows, AMD, and ASUS are already putting the work in. The question we ౠshould all be asking now is where it will materialize next. This is what I'llಞ be looking out for in the years ahead. I suspect we won't see the Xbox Series X successor arrive until 2028 at the earliest, although maybe – just maybe – it's the ROG Xbox Ally X and Xbox app for PC that could provide a light in the dark while we wait.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The OXS Storm G2 wireless gaming headset didn't impress me🅘 all too much earlier this year. It stood out from other low-cost alternatives out there with this space-age design and lovely subdued RGB lighting, but its 🧸questionable build quality and sub-par sound still felt hard to put my full weight behind.

With a current 20% coupon, you can grab the OXS Storm G2 down for which feels like a far more justifiable price point. At full price and closer to the $100 mark, the Storm G2 has tough competition with some of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming headsets, like the Razer Barracuda X, which oo🧜zes quality inside and out, and feels better suited for those🃏 who prioritize a cheap cost above all else.

OXS Storm G2 Wireless Gaming Headset |

Save $15 - The OXS has a 20% off coupon available right now on Amazon, taking the gaming headset that's fully loaded with a wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz connection to just $64.99. At full price, this is a difficult headset to recommend, but you're now getting a lot of bang for your buck for $65 for your PS5, PC,♏ and original Nintendo Switch.

Buy it if:

✅ You want a headset with a spage-age aesthetic
✅ Switching between wired, Bluetooth & 2.4GHz is a priority
✅ You love subdued RGB lighting

Don't buy it if:

❌ You prioritize audio quality
❌ You want to customize the lighting

UK:

I'm still more likely to recommend Razer's Barracuda X over the OXS Storm G2, discount or not, even if you have a strict budget to adhere to and lots of consoles you adore to play at once. However, if you want t🐭he benefit of switching to a wired, Bluetooth, or 2.4♒GHz wireless connection, and must have RGB lighting piled on there without the extra cost, I can see the appeal of the Storm G2's current $65 deal price.

Should you buy the OXS Storm G2 wireless gaming headset?

In my 澳🐓洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:OXS Storm G2 ꦉwireless gaming headset review, I mention that I grew up adoring gaming tech but was not always able to afford it, and so I'm "more than on-board" with any headset that's low in cost that still pr💟ovides flashy RGB lighting and multiple connection options without breaking that $100 barrier.

However, at its full $79.99 / £79.99 MSRP, I was not all in where the Storm G2 was concerned. Its questionable build quality and subpar audio left a lot to be desired, and while these issues remain at its current discounted price, it feels a lot easier to recommend. For less than $70, you get the option to switch between wired, Bluetooth, and a 2.4GHz connection, which is more typical with headsets around the $100 mark. The Bluetooth support, for one reason or another, doesn't work with the PS5 or PS5, so t๊his is more ideal for those who don't mind popping a dongle into their spare USB-C port on the PS5 or PC.

Photo taken by writer Rosalie Newcombe of the OXS Storm G2 wireless gaming headset sitting on a black shelf with a gray background.

The actual sound this head🧸set can conjure up isn't the 𝐆best - and the mesmerizing music by composer Robin Beanland in Rare's Sea of Thieves, or the busy soundstage of Marvel Rivals, sounded pretty lifeless and tinny compared to how it can sound on a slightly pricier headset.

It's not the worst sound in the world by any means, and I've owned my fair share of cheap Amazon gaming headset fodder that were unbearable to ♔use, and the Storm G2 is not that at all. But if you're not just after a cheap headset and truly prioritize audio, saving up for an alternative like Razer Barracuda X, which is currently is still your best bet.

Who the OXS Storm G2 wireless gaming headset is really for are those who wan🍸t to keep costs as low as possible, and aren't that bothered about everything sounding its absolute best. You're not going to have the deep bass gusto of even the best mid-range headsets out there, but the audio quality is still enough to ꦉget you by.

Plus, having lღovely pastel-colored RGB lighting, multiple connectivity options, a free carrying bag, multi-platform support, a detachable mic, and 7.1 Virtual S﷽urround Sound for under $70 is pretty impressive - it's just not going to rock your socks off in the sound department.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mario Kart World's Free Roam map is absolutely massive, and with almost 400 P-Switch challenges to find and complete, it can be trick🌳y to keep track of them all. Thankfully, fans have been coming up with ways to manage this, and although it looks like Nintendo hꦑas taken one of them down, other free options still remain.

Earlier this week, YouTube account the "MK World Travel Guide" app – an unofficial companion app that was available on the iOS App Store for $2. It gave users an interactive version of the Free Roam app, highlighting the locations of P-Switches, as well as Peach Medallion collectibles and Yoshi's Diners (useful for unlocking differe🦩nt 𒆙costumes). However, as (and verified by GamesRadar+), the app has now inexplicably vanished from the App Store.

While it's not clear if Nintendo was responsible for this, regardless, the app is no longer available. However, there are still some handy websites which c🍷an help you without having to spend a penny.

The shows all of the P-Switch missions and their locations, which you cꦗan mark as "completed" to keep track of how many you've do🥀ne and which you have left.

Clicking on them also tells you what the challenge is – showing a screenshot of it, too – so you'll know what you'll be doing before you get there. Assuming 🙈that you're only just starting to use the map, there's the extra advantage here of being able to tick off any challenges you've already done without having to manually drive around and check which ones are already grayed out (if you recognize them, anyway). You can save your progress as a file, which you can then load up again whenever you like.

Unfortunately, this map doesn't keep track of Peach Medallions, but you can do this on . For both the Medallions and P-Swit꧃ches, this map also lets you play quick videos showing exactly where you need to drive to find the things you're looking for, which is extra helpful if you're a bit lost. You can't save your progress without making an account, but the option is still there.

If Nintendo did take down the paid app, it makes you wonder if perhaps the devs have plans to make an official version, either added via an update in the Switch 2 racing game, 🦩or perhaps even on the Nintendo Switch App – a little bit like the new Zelda Notes feature for Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. We'll just have to see, but for now, these unofficial options are still bound to be useful for any completionists.

You can also check out our guide to all P-Switch locations and missions in Mario Kart World for even more assistance.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Splitgate 2 is the free-to-play sequel to the genre-blending first-person shooter that made waves a few years back, as a Halo-meets-Portal experience. The highly anticipated sequel💟 is here and for the first time, it features a battle royale mode, not to mention factions, an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, and a map creator. It's available on PC, PS5, 𒊎and Xbox, but is Splitgate 2 crossplay (also known as cross-platform play) available, and does your progression carry across?

Want to know our thoughts on how this sequel compares to the first game, and how it performs as a new multiplayer shooter in 2025? Then check out our full 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Splitgate 2 review for the lowdown.

Spli𒈔tgate 2 cr⛎ossplay and cross-platform play explained

Splitgate 2 crossplay

Firstly, does Splitgate 2 have crossplay? Yes, it does! Splitgate 2 supports crossplay across all three platforms, so all you need to do is add your friend via either their code or searching for their name and you can party ꦦ🔥up.

If you want to disable crossplay, or re-enable it after turning it off, then follo🌠w these steps:

  1. After booting up the game and you're at the main menu, open the friends menu.
  2. Click on the settings, represented by the cogwheel.
  3. Click on the "online" category on the left-hand side.
  4. Toggle the "Cross Play Enabled" option on or off to your heart's content.

After all, playing against PC players when you're on console can be frustrating due to their more precise accuracy. However, the reverse can also be true thanks to aim assist. Be aware that it may mean it takes slightly longer to find a g🔯ame via matchmaking though, as there'll be fewer players in the pool for you to match up against.

Does Splitgate 2 have cross-progression?

Faction selection in Splitgate 2

There's good news here too, because Splitgate 2 also supports cross-progression! If you want to play Splitgate 2 on multiple platforms, your unlocks, stats, and progression will all carry across. However, for this t💜o work, you must create a 1047 Games account. Here's how it works:

  1. From the main menu of the game, open the friends menu.
  2. Click on your player icon in the top-right hand corner.
  3. Select the Account Linking option.
  4. This will open your browser, where you can follow the instructions to create a 1047 Games account.
  5. Make sure all the platforms you want to play on are linked.

Voila! Cross-progression will be enabled, so you can jump between platforms whenever you like. You can also link your Tw🌠itch and Discord accounts during this process, presumably for in-game rewards when they're available.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The College Football 26 release date is just one month away – and the revamped NCAA series’ sophomore season looks set to be a stormer. Dynasty and gameplay details are now in the wild: be prepared to lose your entire summer to recruiting the best high school talent and soaking up the atmosphere of rivalry games. As ever, it’ll offer pageantry-packed Road To Glory and Ultimate Team experiences too. Below is everything you need to know about the new game, includin🌊g the College Football 26 trailer, cover star, preorder bonuses, and so much more.

The main College Football 26 question mark for many will be its recruiting tweaks. This aspect is what keeps players coming back, and saw numerou🍸s players run out of time last year as Dynasty shut down after 30 seasons. Tweaking that, as well as increasingly the level cap, has been one of EA Orlando's priorities over the past 12 months. But we're getting ahead of ourselves…

College Football 26 release date

The College Football 26 release date is Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Those who pre-order can play it up to three days early, from Monday, July 7, and inevitably, there are other bonuses to enjoy too. More on those below. We’re actually getting the game a week sooner than 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:College Football 25, which landed on July 19, 2024.

When EA resuscitated its beloved NCAA series under a new name, it made a commitment to keeping it current-gen only – unlike Madden, which still releases on PS4 and Xbox One.

That means College Football 26 platforms are again limited to modern consoles⛦. Yep, if you want to dig into some digital Rose Bowl action, you need either a PS5 or Xbox One. It’s a blow to PC players, who, incredibly, hav🦩e kept NCAA Football 14 alive for more than a decade using emulators.

College Football 26 trailer

The College Football 26 trailer reveals numerous tantalising improvements over College Football 25 – which, let’s not forget, was our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:2024 sports game of the year. We’re talking pre-game d🧸rone shows, marching bands, mascots, monster hits, and – the really important bit – a stack of wild plays. Hit that p🌌anel to see for yourself.

There’s no individual College Football 26 cover star. Instead, two elite wide receivers share the honour: Alabama’s Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State.

We interviewed Wil🎶liams at EA Orlando ahead of our College Football 26 hands-on. “It’s crazy - growing up, you play the game and I’ve seen so many guys where I’🐲m like, ‘I wanna be like him’”, he says. “When Odell Beckham Jr was on the cover, the first person I’m playing with that year is OBJ. I gotta see his signature celebration, things like that. Now [that person] is me. It’s a reality, that dream came true – words can’t describe it.”

College Football 26 dynasty mode details

College Football 26: a coach standing in front of his team

While other EA games lean hard on Ultimate Team, the focus of College Football 26 is again its dynasty mode. You take over a real-life college progജram by creating yourself as a coach, or – new for this year – selecting one of more than 300 real ones. Playing matches across each season is just a small part of the experience.

As in the classic NCAA ꦇgames, you’ll spend even more time recruiting talented high school players in the hope of crafting a roster that contends for bowl games and trophies season after season. Upgrading your abilities, along with those of your coordinators, over time is a critical aspect in earning long-term success. [To that end, the level cap is doubled from 50 to 100 this year.]

As well as adding those real coaches, EA has implemented numerous quality of life improvements. Historic match results for rivalries have been added, and continue to be tracked as seasons go by – so even in a down year, you still dꦑesperately want to beat Texas with Oklahoma.

As for recruiting, players’ dealbreakers can evolve over time, while some talents will whittle their list down to two choices, then put you directly up ag⭕ainst another college to battle for their signature. The most addictive mode in gaming appears set to dig its claws in even deeper.

College Football 26 gameplay

College Football 26: a player running while holding the ball

EA Orlando vice president Daryl Holt tells us there’s a three-word statement underpinning the publisher’s NCAA comeback: “We are football”. That means trying to match the explosivene♈ss of real-life college action, with crazy RPO plays, end-to-end drives, and proper physics-based tackling. One element of this is prioritising the ‘four-minute offense’.

Along with📖 those 300 coaches, College Football 26 adds 45 new formations and 2,800 new plays. Another masterful design inclusion is quick subs, enabling you to swa🐲p in players at the line of scrimmage with a couple of D-pad presses.

Gameplay feels s🍷lower this year𝔍 to bring the series in line with Madden, but that’s a positive. It enables you to fully utilise fresh on-field touches such as block steering, enhancing the running game in the process, especially if you time your cut right against an onrushing linebacker.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> When I first loaded up 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 on my Xbox Series S, I felt lost within the first five minutes. As a total newcomer to Square Enix's beloved franchise, I'd expected as much. But even with my notepad and pen handy for scribbling notes when faced with confusion – like "what t🌄he hell is a chocobo?" – the one thing I was not prepared for was Final Fantasy 16's gameplay.

I'll be completely honest with you: the main reason I'm playing this game is because of Ben Starr. More specifically, his performance as Verso in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I'm loving turn-based games right now, and figured I might as well stay on that JRPG-adjacent hype after rolling credits on Sandfall's stunning debut.

But Final Fantasy 16 is a very different JRPG – touted as more of an action RPG hybrid – when it comes to combat encounters, and I'm surprising myself by how quic💙kly I've managed to fall under its spell now that I can finally ♛play it on Xbox… even if I didn't quite know what I was in for.

Humble beginnings

Read why GamesRadar+ gives Clive Rosfield's journey a whopping five stars in our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Final Fantasy 16 review

First, let me catch you up with my JRPG journey so far. After 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:playing and loving Persona 3 Reload last year, I decided that perhaps I'd been excluding a whole world of games for no good reason.

This is something I sought to change, and with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 being a JRPG-inspired French RPG with turn-based combat, I count it among my genre conquests as well as being my favorite new game of 2025 so far.

But JRPGs are not a monolith. I know that not all of them feature turn-based combat, despite it being prominent in many. It's just that, as one of the franchises which popularized the genre, I'd expected Final Fantasy to be the textbook example of a JRPG. I was suspicious already when my colleagues told me that 16 wa🍌s "more action heavy" than previous series instalments. I didn't even know that most of the games are standalone experiences, that's how little prior exposure I'd had to Final Fantasy going in.

But it was only after scrolling through a list of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Final Fantasy games a few hours into my playthrough that I learned something crucial: Final Fantasy 16 is the first gaඣme in the franchise to take an unexpected turn toward a more🔥 classic third-person combat approach. In a way, I guess that kind of makes it perfect for a newbie like me.

Meet the Wyvern

The theat𒈔ricality of it all is something I am deeply enjoying about the tone of JRPGs – and games inspired by them...

Sparring as Clive, I feel a rush of familiarity. Sword combos, ranged melee spells, target lock-on… this is the bread and butter of a great fantasy combat system.

A little thrill goes through me when I get to experiment with dodges and perfect dodges for the first time, bringing me right back to my Lumiere adventures as I hear Maelle scream "PARRY IT" in my head, much as she now does in my nightmares. There's a certain balletic ebb and flow to Final Fantasy 16's combat that makes it feel effortless, intuitive and slick as I send Clive soaring across the sparring grounds in a flurry of flames. At this point, I'm still not too sure why he has these fancy powers, but just like everything else about exploring a brand new video game world, I'll have to 🎐trust the process to grasp it. Hopefully.

Fast forward a few more cutscenes – a wicked mother here, a simpering little brother there, a barrel-chested archduke dad who totally isn't primed for a traꦅgic demise imminently – and I'm facing a horde of goblins.

The soldiers assisting Clive look more like a pair of butchers who just came running out of Rosaria's local abattoir (what's with the leather aprons?!) and honestꦅly I don't think I really need their help. I'm loving how skilled Final Fantasy 16 has me feeling already, even with such a scant few abilities unlocked at this early stage.

Final Fantasy 16 screenshot showcases combat with Clive and many UI elements on a dark night against soldiers

When quick-time events like cinematic strikes and explosions come into plaܫy, I feel like even more of a badass; Clive flies into the air like a superhero to drive his sword home into the gapingꦛ maw of some blobby, acid-spewing foe called a morbol, I'm filled with glee.

The theatricality of it all is something I am deeply enjoying about the tone of JRPGs – and games🐭 inspired by them – so far. It's a level of high camp that's rare in other genres, utterly over-the-top and showy stuff that makes each moment feel like an action movie. Paired with the edgy fringe and stylish leather getup, Clive Rosfield may as well be Bayonetta – and I love that f𒆙or him.

It's still early doors for me in Final Fantasy 16, having just arrived at the hideaway after meeting Cid, butI can already feel myself falling in love with this game. It's kind of heartening that where Western developers – like Clair Obscur's Sandfall Interactive – are starting to bring JRPG combat staples to Western RPGs, Square Enix is flirting with the total opposite here.

It might not be the turn-based🦂 combat experience I was expecting, but Final Fantasy 16 is teaching me about the breadth of JRPGs, action-RPGs, and all the shades between. That said, it's nice to see at least one consistency between them: I'm always in the shoes of an angsty, tastefully dressed hot person with a cool haircut and a weapon in hand, and I'll use it to fight for my imperilled loved ones as long as I can do a pirouette or two. And who wouldn't want to live that (hopefully not final) fantasy out, really?

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:FromSoftware attracts a lot of sickos who like to add difficult challenge rules to its already hard-as-nails games, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Elden Ring Nightreign players are no different. One such sicko is the streamer skumnut, who beat Elden Ring Nightreign using just his fists. Now, he's become the first person to b𝔉eat one of the new, more imposing, Everdark Soverꦆeigns with his bare hands, too.

"That's pretty good damage. That was a huge DPS phase we got off on him," skumnut꧋ says after landing a single pu𒁏nch against Adel, Baron of the Night, which dealt a whopping 48 damage.

Adel is the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new and improved form of the Gaping Jaw, which is a horrifying name fit for the horrifying boss. This thing has a huge orifice that opens up sideways. There's something deeply unsettling about that, because I feel like most animals we know have mouths that open up and down, so it gives th🍨e creature a very alien effect.

Skumnut used the Duchess Nightfarer in his run, but other than that, his main strategy appears to simply be dodging the Baron of Night's attacks and then attacking its feet when he gets the chance. It's a long, slow process – one that takes a bit💞 more than 40 minutes.

After the ordeal, skumnut says, "I⭕ do wish that fight was a lot harder than it 🐲is." Why do we do this to ourselves, FromSoftware fans?

Skumnut continues to say the fight wasn't as good as it could have been due to it being a "very bad RNG run," but I don't know how much RNG can even help you when you're usi💮ng fisticuffs against god-like bosses.

If you'd rather do something more wholesome, you could try 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:turning Nightreign into Pokemon by luring unsuspecting bosses into the path of the Gap⛄ing Dragon's acid attack.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The original Final Fantasy Tactics team was so committed to its goal of hitting 60fps thaꦜt it actually scaled back ideas from its spiritual predecessor to 🥂get the game running at a consistent frame rate.

To promote the remastered Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, developers from the original Tactics team who are coming back to work on the re-release after ꦕalmost 30 years reminisced on the classic strategy JRPG's prꦍoduction in an interview with (translat💜ed by ).

Art director Hiroshi Minagawa recalled how he was personally very invested in getting F🎃FT to run at a solid 60 frames per sec🧸ond after seeing it work for another PS1 Square Enix joint in the oft-forgotten Tobal No. 1.

FFT developers essentially started "working💛 backwards" from there, and much of the game's art and design fascinatingly revolved around its ambitious frame rate target. For instance, the Tactics team apparently wanted to match the scale of Tactics Ogre, the cult strategy game that influenced much of FFT, "in terms of map size and character count," but Minagawa said the frame rate would suddenly drop "no matter what we tried." That explains why FFT had a shrunk five-person party limit compared Tactics Ogre's 10.

FFT and Tactics Ogre ༺director Yasumi Matsuno was a little less tech-obsessed when it came to certain♚ design decisions, though. "Having 10-character parties like in Tactics Ogre felt like too much," he explained. "Final Fantasy games at the time had parties of four or five, so we figured FFT should be an extension of that. And that just so happened to align perfectly with Minagawa's framerate concerns."

Final Fantasy Tactics: Th☂e Ivalice Chronicles comes to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on Se🐽ptember 30 after literal years of rumors and wishful thinking.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Xbox is getting serious about Play Anywhere. The initiative has existed in some form for a decade, where a single purchase of a video game carries across to any supported devi♍ce within the Xbox ecosystem. Despite the clear value proposition, Xbox Play Anywhere has largely been sat in the shadow of Game Pass; more of a curiosity than a centrepiece of the platform. But something has changed.

Speaking at the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Showcase, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer declared that "we're working to make sure you're able to play our games wherever you are, which is why every new game in the show is Xbox Play Anywhere." The importance of this is easily overlooked amongst the excitement of an exceptional 2025 lineup of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:upcoming Xbox games, and the tease of a pivotal 2026 offering which could include new instalments to the platform's most iconic franchises: Fable, Forza, H🍷alo, and Gears.

"The Xbox business is pretty unique to the ind🍃ustry"

Craig Duncan, head of Xbox Game Studios

But Sp♐encer's statement is a signal towards th𒆙e future of Xbox – more critical to the expansion of the platform than any Xbox Game Studios exclusive or day-one entrant into Game Pass could ever be. The way we play is rapidly changing, and Play Anywhere could be how Xbox regains its competitive edge in a marketplace increasingly dominated by Nintendo, PlayStation, and Valve.

"The Xbox business is pretty unique to the industry," says Craig Duncan, the head of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Xbox Game Studios speaking exclusively with GamesRadar+. "Xbox is a platform. We publish some of the biggest and most-played multiplatform games; w▨e have Cloud Gaming, Game Pass, and Xbox Play Anywhere. Our plan is to keep making am𒆙azing games and have them reach as many players as we can, wherever they want to play."

Changing Dynamics

To understand the changing dynamics of Xbox in 2025, you need to accept something: whether you like it or not, it's Microsoft's position that everything is an Xbox now – including whatever device you're using to read this article. The platform holder believes that the Xbox Store, Game Pass, and Cloud Gaming are its primary portals into the ecosystem, and that Xbox Play Anywhere will act a𓂃s the bridge betwജeen them. "Recognising that everybody plays in different ways is just so central to what Xbox is trying to achieve – our vision of how we see gameplay evolving," says Roanne Sones, CVP of gaming devices and ecosystem at Xbox.

There are over 1000 supported Xbox Play Anywhere titles. If you purchase any one of these video games from any Xbox online store, you'll be able to take it (and your progress) with you to any supported device – allowing seamless switching between console, PC, handheld, and cloud. Now if you only exclusively play Xbox games on console or PC, perhaps this feature doesn't appeal to you🌟. But Xbox has anecdotal evidence aꦫnd hard data to suggest that you may be part of an increasing minority.

"We are really investing in refining the expꦺerience of playing your games across multiple devices," says Jason Beaumont, VP of experiences and platforms at Xbox. "What I noticed about my console is that it was just one of a constellation of gaming devices that I use in my house. I'm using my console, my gaming PC, my handheld, and Smart TV apps. I play games everywhere, and I want to be able to pick up my progress and continue that wherever I go."

Beaumont is speaking literally here, with Microsoft investing in a collaboration with ASUS to bring the R𓆏OG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X to market later this year – handheld gamin🔯g PCs that can play Xbox PC games natively, which is undoubtedly a more attractive way to play Xbox games on the go versus the alternative (entrusting your progression to cloud servers and mobile networks). He's also speaking figuratively, to this belief within Xbox that the state of play is changing.

"Recognising that everybody playꦑs in different ways is just so central to what Xbox is trying to achieve"

Roanne Sones, CVP of gaming devices and ecosystem

"Our 🐟data shows most console players use two or more devices, and that playing the same game on different devices can be difficult. We also know that the console market growth across generations ha🍬s slowed," says Duncan. It's why Play Anywhere is the sort of service Xbox is gambling on. Two questions that the company has struggled to answer in the last 12 months are why console players would invest in Xbox over PlayStation when so many of its first-party titles are going multiplatform, and why PC players would purchase games through the Xbox app on Windows when Steam is right there.

Here's Duncan's perspective on it: "When you make pro-consumer decisions, you're going to create a strong business now and into the future. We want🍬 our game franchises to be as big as possible, while making Xbox the best place to play these games. And our strategy of reaching as ma🏅ny players as we can, anywhere they are, while making it seamless to buy a game once and have it playable across devices is good for everyone."

Perhaps Play Anywhere is the answer to both questions, then. A s꧙ingle purchase empowered with cross-progression a🌄nd cross-entitlement. One which then lets you shift from playing online with friends on console, unlocking achievements on PC, and pick up your play on the move through handheld or mobile devices – your progress, community, and library right there with you. It's a compelling concept, particularly if Spencer's assertion that there's "28% growth in players playing our games on multiple devices, year over year" is evidence of changing consumer trends.

Strong Support

One way to look at this is that Xbox is taking proactive steps to meet players. Another is that this shift in strategy is the result of another generation cycle spent in last place – PlayStation recently announced that it has no plans to change its strategy or platform initiatives. Regardless, it's difficult to begrudge Microsoft for wanting to get𒈔 ahead of a tre🌟nd rather than be caught following it. The question, of course, is what incentive developers have for supporting something like Xbox Play Anywhere – a service that only works if players are aware that it exists, and if more games are willing to support it.

Marcus Morgan, executive producer of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Grounded 2, tells me that the executives leading the Xbox division "always talk about Xbox in a way of the platform trying to connect to gamers across the globe – no matter who they are, no matter what they want to play. I think that is such a great and ambitious target." That's a sentiment echoed by Brandon Adler, game director of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Outer Worlds 2: "Anything that encourages more people to play my games I'm always going to love… It's why something like the 🧸Play Anywhere initiative is great, because it invi൩tes more people to play."

Much like Game Pass, it was always going to be down to the first-party developers within꧃ the Xbox Game Studios network to really drive something like Xbox💃 Play Anywhere forward. But unlike Microsoft's premium subscription service, I get the feeling that Play Anywhere can only truly succeed as a system seller – a platform incentive that could court players away from PS5 and Steam – if it receives wide adoption from third-party studios.

There are no Ghosts at the Grand screenshot

Speaking with Anil Glendinning, creative director of There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, one of the breakout reveals 🌄from the Xbox Showcase, tells me that Play Anywhere support "felt like a natural fit" for Friday Sundae's debut game. "We've always believed that players should be able 🍃to pick up where they left off, regardless of the screen in front of them – it's something that aligns꧟ perfectly with the game's structure."

"One moment you're redecorating haunted rooms in a Briti🦄sh seaside hotel on your console, the next you're unravelling supernatural mysteries on your handheld. That flexibility just made sen🙈se," says Glendinning. "When considering Play Anywhere, the main questions we asked were: will this improve the experience for players? Can we deliver parity across platforms? And does it support the kind of seamless immersion we're aiming for? In all cases, the answer was yes."

Of the two dozen independent developers and publishers I've spoken with in recent weeks, I'm told that building Play Anywhere support into upcoming projects is relatively simple (as much as anything in the game development process could be considered simple). A three step ꧋process which involves joining the ID@Xbox program, implementing cross-progression, and cross-entitlement. Although the general sentiment between this group was that aligning entitlements (which is to say, each device seamlessly registering that a single purchase should be accessible for a player) can be a 'living nightmare' for teams unfamiliar with the process, and that Xbox's support could be stronger.

Does Play Anywhere contribute to (or break through) the noise?

"We very much view Play Anywhere as an extension of Game Pass and Xbox's commitment to increasing their audience. That will have beneficial implications for developers, but I don't know if it will remove some of the noise from the gaming landscape," says Squanch Games CEO Mike Fridley. "In the long run, if it survives as a service, it will likely increase the noise as more indie and large studios add more and more titles that take advantage of the Play Anywhere feat✅ure. In the short run, though, I think it will give studios that are early adopters of the feature the opportunity to stand out. Long story short, the best way to cut through the noise is to make a great game, build a fanbase, and listen to that fanbase. There is no magic bullet to making your game stand out other than quality and availability. Play Anywhere definitely helps increase your availability."

Some developers are taking a proactive approach to ensure its future titles are Play Anywhere ready. 🌊Rebellion is one prominent independent studio putting its weight behind the service – including 2025's Ato꧅mfall. "At Rebellion, we are keen for as many players as possible to enjoy our games, and Xbox Play Anywhere is a great way to help achieve this goal," says Ben Fisher, head of design at Rebellion. "Specifically, we create games using our own in-house engine, Asura, that has support for Xbox Play Anywhere built in. So, it is very straightforward for our teams to ensure that our titles are compatible for Play Anywhere, as well as support Xbox cloud ecosystem and optimise for Game Pass. The Asura engine also scales nicely for PC-based handhelds, which gives us more options beyond streaming and, alongside Xbox Play Anywhere, gives players a wide choice of when and where they can play our games."

Speaking on🀅 background, other flashpoints raised by developers weighing support include recognition that video games are both taking longer and costing more to create. That cross-play and cross-progression initiatives have altered player expectations. That cost of living crises have changed spending habits, particularly as games reach $80. With Xbox claiming that Play Anywhere increases awareness, grows engagement, and keeps folks playing for longer, can t🐟his initiative help developers shoulder the burden of an increasingly volatile market to keep delivering for players?

High on Life 2 reveal screenshot showing alien carnage

"We strive to create games that we want to play. As fans of gaming and gamers ourselves, whenever we create something that we love or play a game we enjoy, we want as many people as possible to share that fun," says Mike Fridley, CEO of Squanch Games, following 💎the reveal of High on Life 2 at the Xbox Showcase.𓆉 "Play Anywhere increases the number of gamers that will be able t💙o play our games and partake in that experience."

"Yes, there are potential financial benefits to increasing your audience, and for some other studios, that may be a major driver for them. To some extent, being able to sell to more customers is 🐲a driver for us as well, just not our major reason for doing it," says Fridley. "We are a very small indie studio whose fate is directly tied to our market success. We don't have a big publisher conglomerate that will be able to absorb costs if one of our gam𒉰es doesn't hit the financial mark. Being on as many screens as possible comes with some financial benefits that help us keep our doors open."

The Future

Image showing all of the titles coming to Play Anywhere from the Xbox showcase

Microsoft Gaming has endured yet another challenging generation cycle. Having spent a decade battling to overcome the perception that Xbox Game Studios isn't delivering new titles, the focus shifted just as the first-party floodgates began to open. There was the public battle to acquire Activision Blizzard, reports of Game Pass missing internal gr⭕owth targets, and an unsteady venture into multiplatform play. And now, with the incoming release of an Xbox handheld and early talk of next-gen hardware on the horizon, the platform holder is starting to gradually realign its pieces on the board.

"We want our players to enjoy the games we make and play wꩲhere they want to play"

Craig Duncan, head of Xbox Game Studios

"We strive to engage with large communities of players around our franchises, and remove barriers so more people can play together and enjoy the games they love, play with their friends, and connect with likeminded gamers," says Duncan. "It's about playing your favorite games on your Series S or X, having cross-save just work, and your progress coming with you. Or finding new games through Game Pass, or playing cross play with some of our games on PC or that have shipped on other platforms. We want our players to enjoy ꦿthe games we make and play where they want to play."

'Play Anywhere' is becoming more than an initiative to let you seamlessly carry your digital life between devices, then. It's a mantra which bridges Xbox's multiformat ambitions, its increasing first-party output, ongoing support of Game 🍰Pass, and new hardware initiatives. As Xbox looks to its future, with early talk of next-gen hardware on the near horizon, Xbox Play Anywhere is transforming into the sell for the entire ecosystem. Whether it will work, only time will tell.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> An infamous Final Fantasy 14 plugin that MMO fans warned could enable stalking and harassment has now been shut down after those behind it apparently received a cease and des꧙ist.

Earlier this year, despite Final Fantasy 14's Dawntrail expansion adding new blacklist features to help combat issues like harassment in the MMORPG, it was discovered that the addition had made it so that each player had a unique account ID broadcasted to the game's client. Third-party mods and plugins could be used to essentially link characters to their player IDs, making it possible to track down any ✃player's alternate accounts in the process, enabling stalking in the game. A prominent example of such was a plugin called PlayerScope.

Square Enix had previously addressed this, having reassured fans that such tools couldn't access things like payment information, and later made a change in patch 7.2, saying that "to help prevent the identification of account IDs that are not displayed in-game, relevant saved client data has been reset." However, players quickly discovered that it was "very easy" to reverse the new efforts to hide account IDs, and thus, concerns weren't really alleviated.

Fast forward to today, and a different form of action has seemingly been taken. In a message allegedly taken from Discord (that's been ), it's explained: "Due to a formal cease and desist notice I received, I've made the decision to permane💙ntly shut down the PlayerSc🐲ope project and all of its supporting infrastructure."

The PlayerScope developer states that "the web backend has been taken offline," while "all stored data, including character and user records have been permanentl♔y and irreversibly deleted." Meanwhile, files for the plugin have been "completely removed from GitHub and FitFlic, and have also been fully erased from my personal server."

Moving forward, "there will be ཧno further updates, support, or development from my side, and I a𒈔m officially stepping away from plugin development entirely," the dev continues. "If any versions of the plugin continue to circulate elsewhere, please be aware that they are not authorized or associated with me in any way."

That latter point is something which players reacting to the news on Reddit are still wary of, however – even if PlayerScope is gone, that doesn't mean that other similar plugins can't be used for the same purpose. Sure, the people running them might be a bit scared about doing so after seeing action taken against the main mod, b▨utꦬ unless Square Enix can ensure that there's no way to link player IDs with alternate accounts (or view player IDs in the first place, really), then there's still a risk there.

"This doesn't actually solve anything unless they patch the issue that allowed the plugin to exist in the first place, it's a completely hollow gesture," one . "Other databases for the plugin already exist and anyone can and will cont💟inue to use them or make new ones until it's patched."

"Someone probably already has a backup made. While legal threats ꧒can slow it down, unless SE implements a better blacklist, this isn't going away," .

It's still a positive thing to see Square Enix take concerns seriously like this, though. <![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Battlefield 6 - or whatever EA ultimately decides to call it - 𝔉may feature a battle royale mode, according to one dataminer who also shared an early clip of an explosive campaign mission.

Battlefield Labs is developer DICE's new testing ground for the shooter series, but while some lucky fans are enjoying an early taste of the next mainline entry, dataminers are 🐲instead having a field da♏y looking over in-game files.

One dataminer who goes by 'temporyal' recently posted a showing a work-in-progress Battlefield 6 mission, where the player makes a dam go boom (in classic Battlefield 4 fashion) before escaping in a frenzied car chase. The footage is obviously r🥀ough around the edges - textures are unfinished and there isn't any sound, soﷺ do your best pew pew impression for extra immersion.

It's worth noting that there's no guarantee this Tajikistan mission makes it into the final game at all; it's just a video file for now, and like any work-in-progress leak, it's subject to cha♒nge. In a follo𝓰w-up comment, however, the dataminer also says, "it looks like we’ll be getting a prologue and eight missions set in various locations - including Egypt, Tajikistan, the USA, and Gibraltar."

That's not all, though. A battle royale mode might also be incoming, which wouldn't be too outlandish considering Battlefield 5 and Battlefield 2048's𒁃 short-lived swings at the suಞbgenre.

Over on , temporyal claims they've dug deep enough to find details on Battlefield 6's battle royale mode, too. "Drop into the combat zone and prepare for host🧸ile contact," the Labs' files reportedly read. "Loot weapons, gadgets, and call-ins for tactical advantage. Complete missions, s🅺ecure intel, and custom weapon drops, and stay ahead of the collapsing NXC flamefront. Be the last squad standing to win."

The whole mode apparently revolves around missions you can take up, netting yoཧu with rewards, such as weapons drops, vehicles, or "field upgrades," w🐼hich sound like boons for your class's traits. The most exciting (alleged) feature in my mind is a new 'Oversight' system that allows dead players to stay in the action with drones, remote cameras, and other gadgets. Here's hoping Battlefield 6's battle royale mode lives slightly longer than its predecessors, if it even makes it into the final game to begin with.

Another Battlefield 6 leak showed some sick-looking tank-o🐓n-ta🔯nk action.

Battlefield 6 doesn't have a release date yet, so why not check out some other 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new games of 2025 and beyond.

Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE |
Save $40 - The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE doesn't just pack 12 programmable buttons on its side (and another four up top), but it also comes with Virtual Stream Deck support making it♒ my new go-to productivity powerhouse. It also just so happens to be on sale for the first time ever, dropping to a record-low $99.99 at Amazon.

UK:

We all love a good spreadsheet, I know I do. I don't normally think of cells and shortcuts when I'm desperately trying to rank up, but I can't help it when the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is underneath my fingertips.

This is an MMO device through and through, and one of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming mouse models I've tested this year so far, that much is obvious from the 12-button array on the left flank. Those clickers aren't just reserved for quickly sorting through your in-g🉐ame inventory, though. In fact, I've had a much better time using them for everyday productivity tasks.

No, you got old and boring.

I've been reviewing the brand's latest gaming mouse for the last month or so, using it in between tests on 'traditional' two-button rodents like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2 and even Razer's productivity-focused 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition. It's a solid, if heavy, performer in-game but I spenꦐd far more ti🦩me working day to day and that's where it truly shines.

Fine in-game, but a powerhouse at work

Those 12 buttons have been fun to play with, yes. They make swapping between weapons in Doom: The Dark Ages a far quicker experience. They can shave precious seconds off a range of actions in more competitive titles. They can also keep me hopping between Chrome tabs, running a range of different spreadsheet formulas, ope🧸ning and closing specific folders, sorting emails in folders, a🌊nd so much more.

The thing is, the way the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is actually designed means it actually feels even better as a productivity device than a gaming one. I'm no snob when it comes to mouse weights, but this is a chunky rat. A flatter form factor coming in at 114g is always going to sit outside of truly competitive arenas. Combine that with smaller-than-aver🧔age PTFE feet that don't provide the best glide and the in-game experie𒅌nce can get a little clunky.

It's a fantastic MMO mouse for players who prioritize access to vital comma♛nds over raw speed, of which there are many. Most of us adults probably spend more time in our inboxes than we do on the battlefield on any given day, though, and this is the best experience I've had from a mouse that doe🍸s both.

Should you buy the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE?

The Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is about to overtake the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Corsair Darkstar Wireless as the best MMO mouse on the market right now. Its side buttons feel perfectly tuned, strong enough to resist accidental presses while staying light enough to feel easily hittable even at stranger angles. It also boasts an impressive 150-hour battery life - a vast improvement on both the Darkstar and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:SteelSeries Aerox 9.

Of course, not even the super versatile 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Razer Naga V2 Pro can offer the same Virtual Stream Deck features either. These are what make the Scimitar so powerful in a productivity setting, but also what unlock this device's massiv𓆉e potential for streamers and content cre💎ators.

All that, and it's cheaper than the competition. Razer's device sits at a hefty $179.99, the Darkstar isn't far behind at $169.99, and the older 🐽Aerox 9 holds a $149.99 MSRP.

The Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is $139.99 at full 🦩price, and just took its first ever .

Sure it's too cumbersome for first-person shooters (and I'd certainly recommend something like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX instead if that's your genre of choice). For slower or less competitive games, though, this is a particularly hiꦛgh-value device.

I'm also rounding up all the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best wireless gaming mouse models on the market, as well as the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Logitech gaming mice and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Razer mouse options as well.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> In Camper Van: Make It Home, from developer Malapata Studios, I sink into a relaxing flow and decorate my little house on wheels. After already bringing a smalle♌r camper van to life and travelling to a new destination, I'm now in an upgraded, larger vehicle, and it's pretty clear from the getgo that someone else resides here, too. With various belongings to set down, from toiletries to clothing and kitchenware, I have to fit all my stuff in wit🎶h what's already here.

At one stage I unpack a mug that's decorated with a happy face and small arms that just so happens to match another on a countertop. To my delight, placing the mug opposite the other makes their arms link up as if in their embrace. At that moment, I realize I'm making a home for a couple. Fast forward to the next destination, and the connecting mug is gone, as is all of the other belongings I was fitting mine around, and I💯'm stocking up the freezer with tubs of ice cream and placing chocolates on my bed.

It's one of the many ways 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:I'm reminded of Unpacking, with both Camper Van: Make It Home's organizing and environmental storytelling capturing me in much the same way as Witch Beam's pixelated, zen puzzler. But with delightful lo-fi music, beautiful changing backdrops as you move from place to place, and a pet companion, it has i🤪ts own distinct road trip vibe, too.

Life on the road

Camper Van: Make It Home screenshot of a camper van folder out on a beach with a lounge chair and an umbrella sitting nearby

(Image credit: Malapata Studios / Wings)

You start out with a pretty small camper van, wit🔴h options to choose its interior and exterior color, as well as which cute little charm you hang off its rear-view mirror (I opt for a happy frog, myself). Then, you're free to start setting down all your belongings, which proves to be quite the puzzle in itself since𝐆 you have limited space. With a bed that has a pull out compartment that houses shelves and also serves as a fold out table, I sink into the sense of satisfaction it brings me to figure out the perfect spot for every object, from popping stationary in a shallow drawer, to finding a nook for my rolled up socks.

With different symbols on the right-hand side of the screen that mark differe🥂nt kinds of belongings – with a sandwich for food items, or a toothbrush and tube of toothpaste for toiletries, clicking on them will generate different household items in those categories. Once the symbol is completely purple, you know all objects from that section have been placed. Never knowing what item you get with each click adds to the puzzle element, since you might settle something down, only to have to rejig everything when another object would be a better fit for that space.

Camper Van: Make It Home screenshot showing an assortment of belongings lining shelves and sitting on the countertop inside a camper van

(Image credit: Malapata Studios / Wings)

Just like Unpꦉacking, I love how each item starts to paint a picture of the person who's on this journey. A♎ guitar and polaroid camera? They clearly have a creative streak. Later on, I even squeal with delight when I pull out a Switch game box that I can instantly tell pays homage to Animal Crossing: New Horizons (they're clearly a person of taste, too).

Once all of the items are in place, I🍌'm free to move on to the next destination, and each step of my journey is chronicled in a scrapbook that I can look back on any time. From venturing to a sunsoaked campsite, to a picturesque mountainside, and more, I also love the way the camper evolves throughout; getting bigger, or bringing in some new compartments for me to place objects in.

Alongs🅘ide the environmental storytelling, I also get such a kick of the interactivity of some of the objects, as well as the camper van interior. While the camera can be a bit clunky to move around at times on PC, it's an absolute joy to click on everything to see if there are hidden interactions – like pulling up a collapsible shower, or snapping a shot with the camera. During my travels, I also get to choose from a cat, corgi, or lizard (all o𒁃f which are adorable) who becomes a little travelling companion. I decide on the corgi after a lot of deliberation, and yes, I'm happy to report you can absolutely pet them.

Complete with lo-fi music that just brings the whole experience together, the vibes of Camper Van: Make it Home are immaculate. It's quite a short experience, but if you're after a relaxing puzzle game that takes you on a laidback journey and you enjoyed Unpac🐠king, you'll likely love this, too.

Camper Van: Make It Home is out now on PC and is set to come to Switch later this year. To see what else we've been enjoying, head on over to our 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Indie Spotlight series.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Some developers of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Dune: Awakening hosted an AMA on Reddit, a𓆏nd fans are having a very mixed response to it. The main takeaway to note is the Deep Desert is staying a PvP free൲-for-all, but there is more PvE material in the works.

"We don't want to exclude solo, casual, or small groups," executive producer Scott Junior. Hoꩵwever, "The De🍌ep Desert will always be PvP, but we will be adding additional content to the game for PvE players, and other ways to progress your gear and base beyond what is available in Hagga Basin."

Currently, players are frustrated at how much endgame progression is linked to the resources you can gather there. Naturally, for players who want to enjoy the game without running into griefers, this is a problem. As a GTA Online player, I can relate to this pain, and I'm glad the devs have already addressed an Ornithopter ramming issue.

Senior game director Viljar Sommerbakk stresses "You don't HAVE to engage in PvP, but you run the risk of meeting hostile players. There are ༺currently no plans to𒉰 change this for the Deep Desert."

Like Ark: Survival Evolved, your♌ base persists in-gaꦛme even when you're not online. Currently, it disappears if you don't play for 25 days, and Sommerbakk writes "We are not planning to change how this works currently," so make sure you check in from time to time. You can read the full AMA .

seems confident in the future of Dune: Awakening. They reassure people that it will get "more of pretty much everything," from PvP to PvE, and remind everyone that this game is only a ♎week old. As with most live-service games, there are teething issues and the end-game isn't to everyone's liking just yet.

I'm not sure it'll ever be possibl🌞e to please everyone unless there's a way to completely split the PvE and PvP, but that goes against what the developers themselves want for the game. "We don't consider Dune a PvP game. It's a survival MMO with PvP as part of the experience."

isn't so convinced though. They list a series of issues. "Most people play the endgame naked with a water bottle. So why have gear in the first place?" they ask. 🌼They're also disappointed with the lack of factional objectives in PvP, and generally just see it as something where people "Just talk shit and gank noobs."

Community manager Ignasi Miró Sastre, also known as Iggy, did say "we want to also publish some sort of roadmap/plans for the future post at some point 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:once the craziness of launch has died down," so hopefully that will make everyone happier.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The Corsair Scimitar was a legend in its day, but with no new releases for a few years it's faded into the background more🐠 recently. Now it's back, with the Scimitar Elite Wireless SE - a traditional 12-button MMO mouse that looks to take the crown back from the brand's own Darkstar Wireless.

At $139.99, the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is actually cheaper than a lot of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best gaming mouse models specifically designed for MMO 𝓀play. Not only that, but it achieves this lower price point while bumping your sensor specs, improving battery life, and offering its own unique Stream Deck features at the same time. While it can be held back by i💫ts weight and software, those hunting down ultimate programmability aren't going to be disappointed.

Design

Corsair's classic Scimitar shape has survived to the new generation, with a rounded chassis that molds into a claw or palm grip and sits much wider than traditionally long and skinny FPS mice. Everything from the teardrop shape to the textured pinky rest has stayed the course, but nothing feels particularly cramped. It's still a fatter option than the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:SteelSeries Aerox 9, but it's far from the almost-circular feeling 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Razer Naga V2 Pro.

At its widest point, the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE measures in at 73.48 mm, while its max height reaches 42.17 mm. That makes it slightly smaller in both dimensions compared to the Naga (75.5mm wide and 43.5mm tall), though the contours of the body itself are more conducive to palm-tucking. The tapered lower half nestles neatly into my palm, reaching a surprisingly narrow point right at th🧸🎀e bottom, whereas the Naga's flat edge can sometimes feel unwieldy.

I received the white and gray colorway, though the Elite Wireless SE is also available in traditional black / yellow and a newer gunmetal style. The white version is a little less crisp than other white mice I've tested, with a dulled quality to the final color that feels more like a very light gray rather than a bold white. I'm looking at it next to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, for example, and it's a little muted. The textured pinky rest picks up its fair share of dirt and grime, though, an♍d being formed of raised plastic notches can be tricky to keep clean.

Still, everything feels well builtಌ. There's very little flex to the main chassis when pushing directly downwards, a🅷nd only a slight creak to the side walls when squeezed with extra force.

This isn't the first time Corsair has set its 12-button side panel on an adjustable slider, but it's the first I've seen of it. There's a good range of movement here - those with particularly large or small hands will still struggle to maintain full control over all the buttons, though. With this range, it's more your grip type that's being catered to. Setting the button array towards the back of the mouse was is far more comfortable for a fingertip grip, while yo🐽u'll need it bumped towards the front for a palm hold.

Actually making this adjustment is as easy as unscrewing a medium socket cap underneath, wiggling everythi൲ng into position, and tightening it back up. An Allen ꩲKey is provided in the box.

The skates leave something to be desired. They may be 100% PTFE, but they're plonked down in smaller batches across all four corners and don't provide the smooth action of other devices. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Corsair Darkstar Wireless features larger foot panels that contribute ♔to a more stable flow of movement. With the heavier weight꧑ (114g) of the Scimitar, things can drag a little too much to truly feel nippy.

This is a heavier mouse by today's standards, though it still has the Naga V2 Pro (134g) beat. It's actually one of the heaviest I've tested in the last few years, and I feel that extra heft most keenly in lift-off. It takes a real concerted effort to raise this device from its position on a pad, which takes it out of the realm of faster competitive titles. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best wireless gaming mice tend to stick under 100g these days, but that's without 12 side buttons. The SteelSeries Aerox 9 is able to get away with its 89g form factor is through a honeycomb cutout des𒁃ign, and that can present its own problem🥃s as well.

Controls

Still, if you're ൩here for that 12-button array you likely prioritize extra functionality over low weight in your gameplay. I'm right there with🅷 you.

Razer might have introduced the idea of a full 12-button array, but Corsair's Scimitar design 𝐆has been right up there ever since it debuted. This time there's an extra layer of programming available. Now that the brand owns Elgato, it's able to add a whole virtual Stream Deck to your mouse's functionality. That means the side panel can now control your stream, run productivity macros for a wide range of different programs, and act as a launcher.

Side view of Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE gaming mouse showing 12-button array

It takes a littl♋e learning without LED displays showing you what's what, but this quickly became one of my favorite features on the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE. I had different productivity presets with everything from specific Chrome tab launchers to individual image editing controls mapped out across the side of the mouse. If you're a power-user of a supported program (and thanks to the Stream Deck plugin database there's a lot of them) it's going to be a game-changer.

A lot of functions can already be matched with iCue's own macros, so this integration isn't going to be so revolutionary if you only want media controls and keyboard shortcuts. However, streamers who don't want to reach for a separate pad are going to𒈔 have a field day here.

In total, therᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚe are 16 programmable buttons to play with; 12 on the side, two main clicks, a scroll click, and DPI shifter in the center. Everything sits within easy reach thanks to the adjustable panel design, and the side buttons feature a nicely textured surface that helps differentiate between each column. My only issue sits with that central DPI button, which feels tougher than most, actuates with a little reverb, and regularly became stuck during my testing.

Those actual side buttons are the best I've felt from an MMO mouse. They've got just enough weight to them to remain snappy and easily pressable, even at a slightly awkward thumb angle if reaching forw♛ards or backwards, while resisting against accidental hits. The SteelSeries Aerox 9's clackers feel too light by comparison.

Software

iCue software running with Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE gaming mouse

I don't think I've ever got on particularly well with iCue. It looks and feels outdated, with its small menus, unintuitive interface, and sometimes-confusing preset display. It's got everything you need, though, with customization options across RGB lighting🍰, DPI settings, and individual keybindings. There's also a surface calibration feature included, which claims to optimize your tracking accordingly. Truthfully, I didn't particularly notice a difference in either gaming or prod♏uctivity.

Slightly frustratingly, you'll need a whole second piece of software to load up your Virtual Stream Deck, and the two don't always play nicely with each other. Switching between onboard controls and Stream Deck controls is a little janky with two programs butting heads and get🍨ting everything working in the fir𒀰st place is a maze of menus, firmware updates, and permissions.

Additional sensor features like Aওngle Snapping, lift-off distance, and power saving modes are buried in a buried, pop-up Settings menu, and polling rates are controlled via the receiver's icon instead of the mouse's. It's all a bit scattered, and it doesn't feel particularly slick to use.

Connection

Corsair Slipstream 2.4GHz receiver dongle in front of the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE gaming mouse on a wooden desk

The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE can connect via the brand's Slipstream Wireless (2.4GHz), Bluetooth, or a USB-C cable. The cable supplie🅠d in the box feels solid, and I was able to plug in third party wires, though there is a cut-out around the port itself that could exclude larger connectors.

The mouse can poll at 1,000Hz, but the Slipstream receiꦛver goes up to 2,000Hz. That left me with some confusion at the start of 🐎testing, but if you're only using the Scimitar this seems to be a redundant setting.

I never had any issues with tracking or latency when usin🐷g the device in either 2.4GHz or Bluetooth mode, even with a high amount of interference running around them.

Battery

Corsair claims the new Scimitar ca🐎n run for up to 150 hours in 2.4GHz mode and up to 500 hours in Bluetooth mode, both with RGB switched off. Tꦜhat's solid, battery was a key issue for the Darkstar Wireless with only 20 hours up for grabs.

That figure rings true from my testing. I'm on mouse and keyboard for an average of around 50 hours a week between work and gaming and I'm still on 62% battery after a week and a half's solid use (no RGB, 2.4GHz). That puts the Corsair Scimitar Wireless SE's battery above that of the 95-hour 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX♏ and 80-hour SteelSeries Aerox 9, and tied with the Naga V2 Pro.

Sensor

A 𝔍33,000 DPI Corsair Marksman sensor sits underneath, boasting 750 IPS speeds and up to 50G acceleration. That's a good sensor spec sheet, shooting just over the top of the Naga V2 Pro's 30K DPI and extending well beyond the 18K DPI / 400 IPS eye inside the SteelSeries෴ Aerox 9.

Of course, very few of us are playing right at the top of that DPI range - but it is good to know that the sensor's sensitivity is adjustable in increments of one, whichღ makes for a particularly precise setup experience. Running at my usu🎀al 3,200 DPI everything feels smooth and accurate with a consistent tracking rate across both a wooden surface and a softer mouse pad.

Lift-off distance can be customized across three presets in iCue, ranging across low, medium, and high. There's no specific measurements listed, but🍬 I'd bet these settings translate to 0.7mm, 1mm, and 2mm. iCue also offers an angle snapping toggle.

Switches

Front of Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE gaming mouse showing main clicks and grill effect underneath

Optical main switches make for a light and speedy actuation in your larger clicks, and I found them to be uniform in feel and actuation speed across the entire panel of the button itself. They're not as deep and thoccy as other options, losing some of the tactile clunk of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Logitech gaming mice and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Razer mice, but feel nimble across repeat prꦿesses. They also feel nicely supported, with 🌃no wobble or reverberation and a tight feel overall.

Should you buy the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE?

Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE gaming mouse with packaging on a wooden desk with yellow backlighting

The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is a fantastic MMO mouse, especially if you happen to stream your adventures. While that Stream Deck integration can take a while to get set up, it offers a particularly slick set of additional features for content creators and productivity power-users alike. Combine that with a comfortable side 🧸panel of buttons, each particularly well-balanced for responsiveness and accuracy, and you've got yourself a powerhouse.

The increased weight and often frustrating software may mean some should look to spring for the more expensive Razer Naga V2 Pro ($179.99), however with a vastly improved battery life and sensor compared to the $149.99 SteelSeries Aerox 9 and $169.99 Corsair Darkstar Wireless you're getting excellent va🐈lue for money overall here.

The latter is currently my top pick for the best MMO gaming mouse on the market, and it doesn't even feature this 12-button array. I found the circular panel of side buttons to be far more accurate than the softer, more accident-prone clickers previously available on the market. The low price, improved button handling, and additional charge timeꦜ of the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE propels it straight to the top of that list.

FBC: Firebreak is getting free post-launch updates that will let players explore more sectors of the Oldest House with new jobs, gameplay systems, equipment, and enemies. Fresh cosmetics and Classified Requisitions (that function similarly to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Helldivers 2 Warbonds) are on the way, too, so there's a lot for Remedy fans to look forward to this year. To find out more, here's what we know so far from t꧑he FBC: Firebreak Roadmap.

FBC: Firebreak Roadmap explained

The FBC: Firebreak Roadmap details two major updates coming later in 2025. The first major update is coming this fall with a new job codenamed "Outbreak" headlining the list oꩲf changes, and the second major update hits this winter with another new job codenamed "Blackout."

The new jobs are the highlights of these updates, b🍸ut they'll also add new job sites, new gameplay systems, new equipment, and new enemy types to liven things up. Plenty of cosmetics are coming with each update as well, and there will be both free and paid options for players to choose from.

"Outbreak" Fall Major Update

FBC Firebreak Roadmap

FBC: Firebreak's first major update is slated for fall 2025. This patch sends players to the Research Sector – a new area of the Oldest House – for a brand new mission called "Outbreak🦩." ൲Given the name, it probably involves huge hordes of enemies.

That fits with the rest of the content included in the fall update as well, since it ad✤ds new enemies and gameplay systems to FBC: Firebreak. Details are scarce about the Outbreak job and the new forms of Hiss coming in this update, but more𒊎 info will be shared closer to release.

A paid Classified Requisition will laun𝓀ch alongside the Outbreak update in addition to free earnable rewards. You can take a look at the existing Firestarter Classified Requisition to get an idea of what yo༒u can expect with Outbreak's new cosmetics.

"Blackout" Winter Major Update

FBC Firebreak Roadmap

FBC: Firebreak's second major update is scheduled for winter 2025, adding a fresh jobsite with a new 🐼mission called "Blackout." Just like the fall up♐date, this content drop includes new enemy types and more free earnable rewards.

Unlike the Outbreak update, however, the Blackout winter update will introduce new equipment to FBC: Firebreak. Whether this is as simple as a new weapon or something more significant like an all-new 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:FBC Firebreak Crisis Kit remains to be seen, though.

Another paid Classified Requisition will drop alongside FBC: Firebreak's winter update, too. Agai🌟n, this should include roughly four pages of armor sets, sprays, voice lines, and more based on the existing Firestarter Classified Requisition included in the game's deluxe edition.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> I've finally found a third-party Switch 2 dock, and it🦩's supposedly designed to satiate the needs of Nintendo's fussy new handheld. Not only is it smaller than the official docking station, but it's also far cheape♋r than the real deal. The catch? Well, apparently it's temperamental at best and outright doesn't work at worst, so I'd avoid it for now.

Dubbed the SIWIQU TV Dock Station, the third-party Nintendo Switch 2 dock is the first dock for the new handheld I've spotted. Of course, the reason there isn't a whole wave of options is thanks to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:ongoing Sw🅘itch 2 dock compa🐎tibility problems, as accessory makers like Jsaux say docking stations now 澳洲幸运🌃5开奖号码历史查询:r🐻equire 20V power input to active TV mode and firmware updates.

Yet, despite these requsites, the SIWIQU TV Dock Station is sitting pretty . The listing stresses that the accessory is specifically for Switch 2, so it's not a rebranded original Switch or 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Steam Deck dock. There are only 20 customer reviews on Amazon for the𒊎 hub right now, but the consensus is💙 that it's difficult to get working and features plenty of flaws when video output does kick in.

SIWIQU Switch 2 dock sitting on grey TV unit with hands holding controllers in front.

One of the biggest red flags with this Switch 2 dock is the fact that its "installation steps" normalize an extremely fiddly docking process. Rather than simply popping your handheld on the USB-C cradle and instantly beaming gameplay to your 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming TVꦆ, you'll instead have to "remove and insert" the console to enter TV mode.

In practice, that actually means plugging in the Switch 2 before setting your TV to the right HDMI sour🅷ce, then disconnecting the🎃 console again before reconnecting it. That to me sounds like classic handshake problems, which is a fancy way of saying the console doesn't recognize the dock as compliant with its protocols.

SIWIQU Switch 2 dock Installation Steps with numbered graphics outlining how to use the handheld in TV mode.

While some players might be quite willing to coax the Switch 2 into working with the dock in this manner, the idea gives me the fear. Having to unplug the handheld repeatedly every time you want to play on a TV 🃏will put extra strain on its USB-C port, and that could lead to big issu💙es down the road.

I'm also extremely wary that the Switch 2's software is on the lookout for any accessories and user actions that appear sketchy. That should be something that exclusively applies to players trying to use gadgets like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:MIG Switch, a microSD adapter that lets you run backed-up games via one cart, but there's no guarantee it doesn't apply to 🍌iffy USB-C accessories too. If the system does interpret third-party docks with 🐻temperamental firmware in the same way, it could lead to your console being permanently banned from online services.

All tha🌌t aside, I don't believe the incompatibility problems with this dock rest completely on its maker's shoulders. Switch 2 docking station compatibility wouldn't be an issue if Nintendo stuck with ordinary USB-C protocols and DisplayPort Alt mode standardization, but alas, the handheld has chosen an annoying path that currently limits your options.

At the same time, there's still a huge question mark over whether the cooling fan in the official Switch 2 dock is mandatory for keeping handheld temperatures down, or if smaller options are viable. That's something I'll be looking closely at as more alter🅰natives enter the scene, but until then, I'd at least wait for a docking station that ca🌌n provide consistent connectivity.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> While you can play FBC: Firebreak on your own, this Control spinoff is best experienced with a group of friends. The game is available on several different platforms and subscription services, though, so your squad might be split up across multiple systems. There's no need to worry, though, since FBC: Firebreak crossplay is available to support cross-platform co-op.

You and your friends can play together regardless of your chosen systems, but there are some roadblocks to watch out for if you're trying to play FBC: F𓆉irebreak with people on other platforms. The invite system works a bit differently to those you may be used to from other crossplay games, but it📖's simple once you learn what to do. To find out more, here's how to use crossplay in FBC: Firebreak.

Need some pointers for the first two jobs? We've got separate guides for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:FBC Firebreak Hot Fix and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:FBC Firebreak Paper Chase to get you up and running.

How to enable crossplay in FBC: Firebreak

FBC Firebreak crossplay

Cross platform multiplayer is enabled by default in FBC: Firebreak, so you shouldn't have to change any settings to play ♋with people on other platforms. If it's not enabled💮 for you, then you can find the cross-platform matchmaking settings in the game's options menu under the gameplay tab.

To squad up with players on other platforms, create a multiplayer party at the main menu and generate a party code to share with everyone you want to p✤lay with. Once the party code has been provided,꧅ they can select "join with party code" to join your session.

FBC Firebreak crossplay

If you need a random player to fill your last party slot, leave the public matchmaking box ✱checked. Otherwise, you'll load into a job with only the players in your party, even if you don'🍸t have a full group of three.

Does FBC: Firebreak have cross-progression?

FBC Firebreak crossplay

FBC: Firebreak does not support cross-progression, however, so you won't be able to trans✱fer your unlocks and upgrades to another platform if you decide to jump ship to a different system. The game is available on PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, so it's a bit disappointing that players are locked to a single system unless they want to start over from scratch.

If you do decide to check out FBC: Firebreak on a different platform, you can at least skip the tutorial and jump straight into a job to start grinding for unlocks. ꧟Most of the important stuff is unlocke﷽d fairly early, anyway, so it shouldn't take too long to catch up to your original platform.

How to turn off crossplay in FBC: Firebreak

FBC Firebreak crossplay

If you want to disable cross-platform multiplayer and onlyꦺ matchmake with people on the same system as you, then you can turn off FBC: Firebreak crossplay in the settings. Just open the options menu at the main menu, and you'll see a cross-platform matchmaking checkbox under the gameplay tab.

It's at the top of the gameplay tab, so it's hard to miss. Disabling crossplay will most likely result in increased matchmaking times – especially since it's enabled by default and most players won't even think to turn it off. If you can't find a squad for a job, it may be worth turning crossplay back on. FBC: Firebreak is a cooperative shooter anyway, so there's no real downside to having cross-platform matchmaking enabl🌜e꧟d.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope may have been the swan song for the Ubisoft-developed Mario spinoff series, as allegedly another game was pitched by Ubisoft Milan, but was turne𝓀d down.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was the first major third-party exclusive to hit the original Nintendo Switch, and ended up with by its fifth anniversary. Naturally this led to a sequel being developed with Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, which was branded as a bit of a sales disappointmen꧑t by Ubisoft (with its CEO saying it ).

In the years following Sparks of Hope, Mario + Rabbids series director 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Davide Soliani left Ubisoft after a 25-year run, and co-founded Day 4 Night. Meanwhile, the studio behind the games – Ubisoft Milan – has started posting job listings for staff to work on a "prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand." However, according to Thꦕe Game Business co-founder Christopher Dring, Ubisoft Milan was seemingly more𓂃 than ready to continue Mario + Rabbids despite the sales disappointment.

Speaking on , Dring noted that the Mario + ☂Rabbids team have mostly disbanded, but said, "I know they had pitched another title that didn't get approved." He adds, "I don't know why but it just never happened, which was again, I think, tied to Nintendo."

It's unclear whether Dring means that the title was turned down by Nintendo, or Ubisoft didn't want to make a title in collaboration with them, but that probably explains why a number of members of the Mario + Rabbids team left alonౠgside💯 Soliani.

It's worth noting that Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope's final DLC was themed around Rayman, so perhaps Ubisoft Milan's new title is a new Mario + Rabbids-style game, but with Rayman taking the starring role from Mario.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> When I first saw an email ꩲin my inbox with the subject line Blood Message I was a little concerned, but it turns out it's the name of an upcoming AAA game set during the final years of China's Tang Dynasty – around 900 AD.

The trailer for Blood Message is impressive, showing off brutal third-person sword combat and giving a hint of the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Uncharted series in its more choreographed moments. You play as a nameless messenger looking for his son Ning, crossing hot, sandy deserts and the snowy wilderness 💫of central Asia.

Rather than stepping into th﷽e shoe൲s of a famous general or legendary figure, Blood Message is all about "ordinary people driven by extraordinary resolve."

"This is the kind of game all those AAA studios should've been making instead of live services," one YouTube commenter writes. And, I'm not the only one who thought the game felt like Naughty Dog's a𝔍ction epics. "Finally we get Uncharted 5," writes another commenter. "It's like a Tang Dynasty take on Uncharted and I'm here for it, looks sick," agrees another.

Developed by NetEase-owned 24 Entertainment, which made 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Naraka: Bladepoint, a free-to-play melee battle royale, Blood Message shows that China's video game industry is continuing to try and appeal to PC and console players with cinematic adventures.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> A London Underground banner is telling commuters that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, a game currently without a rel🍃ease date, is "Out Now."

Internet posters began noticing the cruel Oxford Circus Station ad last night, taking to social media to share the massive banner that shows Samus Aran's fancy new suit alongside Metroid Prime 4's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nintendo Switch 2 Edition logo. Some featurജes are listed in a little box b🐽elow that, but the real kicker is an "Out Now" badge.

Which is weird, because the last time I checked, Metroid Prime 4 isn't out now. We actually don't even know when it is properly hitting s🌳tore shelves, and no, it hasn't been shadow dropped, either – believe me, I checked the eShop a little too quickly this morning.

The running theory is that a "Coming Soon" or release date badge was supposed to accompany the Metroid Prime 4 ad, before being peeled off in exchange for the "Out Now" one when, you know, Metroid Prime 4 is out now.

spotted Mario Party Jamboree, Donkey Kong Bananza, and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mario Kart World ads across the station, too – the latter also had an identical "Out Now" badge, so we can guess Samus' bamboozling ad was just a template published by mistake, on show for an or so daily commuters. Oops.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Following a wave of 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Borderlands 4 previews and the feedback that's come from those, Gearbox has confirmed that its upcoming looter ♍shooter will feature an optional combℱat radar after all, after a significant number of players complained about its absence in the demo they played.

After previews for 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Borderlands 4 went live, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford polling fans on "what more" they want when it comes to navigation in the game. It was already confirmed that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:there's no mini-map, but 55% of people declared that they wanted a "combat radar, you fools," prom𒐪pting Pitchford to explain that, actually, the devs already have us covered for the full launch.

In a thread discussing Borderlands 4's maps, compass, and EchoBot AI drone, Pitchford admits: "To be honest, we have been using the compass for so long for combat situational awareness, [that] we don't miss the radar. We stopped thinking about it. We can actually prove at the beginner level it doesn't matter and at the advanced level the compass is preferred." However, following the game's recent "press tour," Pitchford estimates "roughly 15%" of players brought up the combat radar's absence, with𒅌 a number really advocating for the feature.

"As me and head of dev, Steve Jones (and some of the other guys) were poking around with producers trying to figure out what it would take to add these features and if we cꦍould make it in time to ship or not, something awesome happened," Pitchford explains. "In classic Gearbox style, where we have an ethos of 'they who builds it, wins,' some developers got together a🍎nd found some time in the margins of their schedules. Some Gearbox heroes did what Gearbox heroes do!"

Pitchford says that in an effort from creative director Graeme Timmins and some members of the UI team (including "the awesome Jason Brown and the badass Justin Dooley," as well as art from "the🃏 super talented Ray Peña"), the devs made the combat radar players w🅘ere missing. What's more, they "just barely squeezed it in for a QA pass so that it can go into the main branch of our software in time to ship with Borderlands 4 on September 12."

The Gearbox boss expresses his gratitude for the feedback the devs received, perhaps with some trepidation using the term "real fans," despite all the backlash he's faced for those two words recently. "This happened because of the best element💛🏅s of our community. I'm talking about the real fans who sincerely want the best for the game and gave constructive notes and made reasonable arguments," he says. "You know who you are and you rock! You made this happen!"

Meanwhile, creative director that the combat radar was added "LAST FREAKING WEEK," so it really is a recent development. He says that those involved in its creation "went incredibly fast when I tol📖d them – 'If we're doing this, I want it for launch.' This is just how committed we are here guys; we're doing everything to make BL4 the definitive Borderlands."

All in all, it's been a positive week for Borderlands fans – a welcome change after the aforementioned backlash following Pitchford's suggestion that any "real fan" would find a way to buy the upcoming game even if it was $80. A few days ago, it was confirmed that 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:the standard edition of the game is $70, so fans' wallets are somewhat safe, unless they want to buy a pricey collector's edition that's not actually a collector's edition.

Borderlands 4's $70 price is "extremely unlikely" to have been influenced by backlash to Randy Pitchford's "real fan" comment, Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director says, even if he thought it was "gross."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The Rematch Goalkeeper position carries more pressure than anywhere out on pitch – and it’s also the game’s most challenging. That doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun with it. Leave the box in Rematch to immediately become a rush keeper, or fling yourself around to make crazy saves. Most importa🙈ntly, guarantee yourself clean s🐟heets in no time with our swift-yet-detailed Rematch Goalkeeper guide.

Rematch Goalkeeper position: the basics

A player shoots at goal in Sloclap

Here’s the stuff you need to know before your first fixture aওs a Rematch Goalkeeper…

  • You stand up to shots by holding R2/RT, and dive by holding triangle/Y and pushing the left stick in the required direction.
  • Leave the area and your goalie gloves disappear, just like the ‘rush goalie’ days of your youth. This immediately changes your position from goalkeeper to sweeper.
  • The keeper rotates after every goal. So be patient when it’s your turn – you’ll be back out on pitch soon enough.

Rematch Goalkeeper position: improving your skills

A goalkeeper punts the ball downfield in Rematch

Starting to feel confide꧅nt? This is our recommended path from Championship level to Premier League…

  • Pass the ball, don’t hoof it. You’ll rarely score by shooting from your own box, and team-wide build-up play creates more scoring opportunities than punting possession away.
  • Both goalkeepers and sweepers have infinite stamina. That means that when the ball is in the opposition half it’s usually safe to move up to the halfway line to provide an option for your team to maintain possession. Just make sure you sprint back to your area if an opponent makes a successful tackle.
  • Be aware of ball warping – and pay attention even if you think you’ve failed to save a shot. As an example, you can dive towards the top corner, figure that you’re a couple of feet away from the ball, and then have it magically appear in your hands – then miss out on a counter attack opportunity due to the dip in concentration. Every split-second matters in Rematch.

Rematch Goalkeeper position: advanced techniques

Celebrating a 5-vs-5 victory in Rematch

Hit Rematch Level 5 and you can participate in ranked matches. These three tips will see you right o𓆏nce𒁃 you're mixing with the elite.

  • Don’t be afraid to dribble out of the box to draw opposition forwards in and beat the press. Just make sure to pass the ball off to a team mate when an opponent gets within tackling distance.
  • Think like a real-life goalkeeper to improve your game. For instance, if a player is unmarked and about to shoot from the one side of the box then cover the near post, and prepare to dive across the goal. Similarly, bring the keeper out in one-to-one situations and stand up to the onrushing forwards to narrow the angle, before committing to your dive as late as possible.
  • As you reach higher levels you should note that, much like the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Rematch Alley Oop achievement, elite players like to set up rebounds by shooting off the walls rather than aim for the goal. To combat this you need to avoid diving for an initial shot, then keep your reflexes ready to react to the follow-up. Be prepared to fling yourself for the far corners, and accept that occasionally you will be beaten down the middle. Hey, it happens to the best of ‘em.

The fan-made GTA 6 Countdown Twitter account posted a screenshot from one of GTA 5's earlier missions in which Michael practises yoga poses with his wife and the yoga instructor she's cheating on him with, saying: "This is hands down the worst mission in GTA 5."

While the new tracks all have pretty great tunes, Mario Kart World's Free-Roam, intermission laps, and Knockout Tours all feature tons of remixes from all over the Mario series, with the likes of a ska rendition of Super Mario Bros. 3's Athletic theme; a ve𒆙rsion of DK's classic ; and tunes from spin-offs like Wario Ware, Wario Land, and Yoshi's Island. But I've heard perhaps𒈔 the most niche possible musical reference in Mario Kart World.

D𒅌Si game Flipnote Studio arrived in the late 2000s and was a lovely little flipbook animation software that still has an enduring fanbase today making animations with it. One cute detail from the game was a little tune that taught pl🦩ayers how to draw Mario himself. Flipnote was produced by Yoshiaki Koizumi who has been a producer or director on every single 3D Mario title, mind you.

This could've stayed as a fun little Easter egg in the DSi app, but for whatever reason Nintendo really likes this little tune as it's been referenced multiple times since, with Super Mario 3D Land using a remix as the , and the drawing tutorial itself returning as a hidden Easter egg in the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Super Mario Bros. Game and Watch💞 released in 2020. And now it's back in Mario Kart World with a

Obviously Nintendo reckoned you'll need a lot of music to carry a big 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:sort-of-open world game like this, and so dug to the depths of the Super Mario canon to pick out tunes, but this is on another level of niche. In fact, it seems like Donkey Kong is the only Mario-adjacent series not to get much love on the soundtrack (outside of the aforementioned Jungle Hijinx remix, there's no DK tunes), but fans reckon 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:a DLC expansion may remedy that injustice.

Donkey Kong Bananza is bringing back the DK Rap, but after going uncredited for the seminal hip hop classic in the Mario Movie, the song's composer wasn't aware it was returning in the Switch 2 game.

"Borderlands 4𒅌 is a day one purchase for me, by the way," Douse writes on Twitter. "I have a lot of faith in its writers (though I can't put a finger on it, I have a good feeling about it) and I think just enough time has passed. Just throwing that out there in case you thought I was neggy on the BL."

澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Douse has previously spoken out about Pitchford's controversial comment that "real fans" would find a way to afford Borderlands 4, even if it cost $80. "Saying 'real fans will find a way' is gross because it assumes your game is more important during a cost 𒀰of living crisis than, for example, making iܫt day to day," Douse wrote at the time.

So, you can see why Douse wanted to clear the air and let it be known he does still support the game. But, even thou𓆏gh Douse is keen to get Borderlands 4, he's still not afraid to give his honest opinion o🔜n the series. One fan asks what he thought of the writing in Borderlands 3, and he replies: "That was a dry-ass turkey dropped eight months after Thanksgiving." Ouch.

I wonder if he'll be getting the $70 standard version or the $150 collector's edition that's not actually a collector's edition and doesn't come with the game?

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is getting its suite of crossover characters partly to ensure that players don't thi💎nk of it as a one-and-done title.

Speaking to GamesRadar+ at Summer Game Fest, veteran Sonic series producer ꦅTakashi Iizuka explains that the Minecraft and Yakuza crossovers that appeared in the game's most recent trailer (alongside Hatsune Miku and Persona 5's Joker) are there partly to provide a 'Hall of Fame' feel; "we wanted to make this title something that pulled from the best of our previous racing games."

CrossWorlds, he says, borrows from All-Star Racing's bro♛ad selection of Sega characters, "so it's not just a Sonic universe game." But more than just providing a wide roster for the sake of it, Iizuka says that they've also been included "to make sure people are playing this game for a long timeꦦ – not just playing it when it comes out, having fun, and that being it."

"Really, we need to support [it] and make sure people are having fun and getting a fresh experience for as long as possible." To help with that, he drops a reminder about the Season Pass, which will help provide new content "for one year aft𝔉er the game launches," adding new things to the game "continually."

Minecraft will be the first of those big drops, but Iizuka says that "as the year progresses, we'll have new characters coming into the race, new courses that the team is developing that wiไll make it into the game, to make sure we have that long-time experience, and a lot of fun for players that want to continue playing."

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the devs wa🃏nt their game to be played for as long as possible, but it's the kind of thing that isn't often said as loudly as this. New ch🌸aracters and courses – even those being added through a paid pass – are a pretty innocent way of expanding on a racing game, and unless you can shift a Mario Kart-esque number of copies, they're probably a good way of making sure that players do stick around for the longer haul.

Whether Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds can do that with 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Mario Kart World lurking in the background remains to be seen, but given Iizuka's recent comments about Nintendo's new racer, he does seem to be feeling pretty confident.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> If you were confused about the apparent 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Solid Snake dead ringer in some of the recent 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Death Stranding 2 trailers, it turnsღ out you weren't alone – the actor behind the character also noted the Metal Gear Solid similarities.

Speaking at Sydney Film Festival, Hideo Kojima spoke about actor Luca Marinelli – who he's a big fan of, saying he chose him for Death Stranding 2 because he needed someone who "would surpass" Mads Mikkelsen in the first game. Marinelli was revealed to players in a trailer back in March, in which his garb – a gray ൩bandana – drew immediate comparisons to Metal Gear 's꧃ long-suffering hero.

As it turns out, fans weren't the only ones to draw those comparisons – so did Marinelli himself. Kojima says that when he asked the actor how he and his friends reacted to his 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Death Stranding 2 charact𝐆er reveal, Marinelli said: "'O♓h Snake is wonderful. I'm so happy to be Snake'."

Kojima had to put that misconception to bed pretty quickly, telling Marinelli, "'no, you're not Snake. You just have a bandana on your he🥃ad!" Unfortunately, we don'🌳t know how Marinelli reacted to that reveal, but we do know that Kojima remains a huge fan of his actor.

"I needed som🐷eone who can top Mads [Mikkelsen] and Cliff," he said. "I thought Luca could do it." That intuition was proven correct once Marinelli arrived on set – "His acting was just so, so spectacular♑," Kojima went on. "Léa [Seydoux] comes in or Norman [Reedus] comes in, they're usually on their phones. But then when Luca started to perform, everyone put their phones down and concentrated."

Putting aside the idea of the crew being on their phones for a front-row recording by two A-list actors for a moment, that seems like some serious praise. Kojima is well-known to collect actors he's impressed by, and for a cinephile as prolific as him, getting his attention is no mean feat. Of course, you also have to pass the real-life vibe check if๊ you want a role in one of his projects, so I ꦿguess Marinelli is a good hang, too.

"I almost gave up": Hideo Kojima on looking into the abyss, Death Stranding 2's Australian setting, working with his idols, and connecting with koalas.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The "generational shift" between 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Witcher 4 and 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Witcher 3 means that CD Projekt Red is "stepping up" to deliver on its ambitions - but also l🌊ookꩲing to the past for inspiration.

In an interview with GamesRadar+, Jan Hermanowicz, engineering production manager on the recent 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Witcher 4 tech demo explained that the studio is adapting to the "generational shift when it comes to hardware, engines, and technology between ✱The Witcher 3 and The Witcher 4." Since the third part of Geralt's saga released in 2015🌱, we've had a whole new console generation, and seen CDPR shift to a new engine for its RPG.

"That generational shift, we want to do it right," Hermanowicz says. "Our ambition is to take full advantage of it and really deliver the next-gen experience." For Hermanowicz in particular, that ambition had to show in the tech demo, which put Valdrest - a small village in 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:The Witcher 4 region of Kovir - in center stage. But by the standards of The Witcher 3, that village was not a🎃ll that small - in fact, it was a busy port town with 300 NPCs and a bustling market.

That density is evidence of how CD Projekt is "stepping up," but Hermanowicz is keen to point out that the studio is "not stepping into this blindly." To help build believable 💎crowds for Valdrest, he sa🀅ys that the team "spent a lot of time watching recordings of Novigrad from Witcher 3."

That generational leap means that the last game's biggest settlement is a reasonable comparison for the Witcher 4 tech demo, and the team studied things like NPC density and activity 𝓰to help shape their showcase. "We actually looked at what we did in the past, what was cool about that, and what we couldn't do at the time," Hermanowicz explains.

That also helped the team consider what they hadn't evꦉen thought of last time around - watching Novigrad meant they could determine whether their "ambition was even there, and what new ambitions appeared throughout the last years."

Clearly, the detail and density of Valdrest will not necessarily be found in every nook and cranny of The Witcher 4. Both CDPR and Hermanowicz have been keen to remind players that this was a 澳洲🥂幸运5开奖号码历史查询:proof-of-concept tech demo for The Witcher 4, which means it's probably not representative of the finished game. Either way, it's interesting to note that the biggest cities in The Witcher 3 are helping shape fairly ไnondescript villages in The Witcher 4.

The Witcher 4 has a "console-first" philosophy and a 60fps target to avoid another Cyberpunk 2077 situation, though the Xbox Series S is "extremely challenging."

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> I absolutely embarrassed myself p🦂laying the Ratatan demo in front of several of the devs at Summer Game Fest. I have fond memories of playing the first two Patapon games back on the PSP, but despite loving both rhythm and strategy games, the combination of the two has always been particularly taxing on my brain, like a classic case of trying to simultaneously pat your head and rub your stomach.

Patapon designer Hiroyuki Kotani is building Ratatan wiꦺth many of the same elements that made the original games so memorable. You still command a squadron of adorable little soldier creatures across 2D levels, drumming orders along to the beat to issue commands like 'attack' or 'guard.' You've got to carefully watch what your opponents are doing, respond to their movements, and make sure your little dudes are dealing damage, all while keeping up with the rhythm.

After suffering crushing defeats to multiple bosses in the Ratatan demo, I'm honestly a little relieved to see that the demo's public release has similarly been brutalizing a wide swathe of players, to the point where the devs are already tuning the action to make it a bit friendlier to get into. With Ratatan set to launch in early access this July, tuning based on player feedback was always part of the pla꧅n, and I'm glad to see it - the new elements here genuinely add a lot to the Patapon formula, and with the right balancing tweaks, that quirky old PSP spirit could make a mark in the modern era.

"Feedback is already coming in, and some people are saying, 'hey, this game is, like, really hard,'" producer Kazuto Sakajiri 🏅told me via translator at SGF. He added that the team is "thinking of diffꦉerent ways to try to adjust for that [with] accessibility options. So they do want to implement those as they move forward."

Around the time that interview took place, the team had actually 🥂already made a big list of planned demo improvements in a meaty , citing a "lack of clarity and poor controls" as primary issues with this early version of the game. That certainly tracks with my experience, as I found myself struggling to make sense of all the commands ꧙listed out on the corners of the screen while simultaneously wrapping my head around the basic controls and rhythm demands.

But just listing out every💜thing I struggled with is probably a bit redundant here𒁃, since it's all addressed in the update plans - though I will shout out the devs "tweaking enemy wind-ups and attack intervals to make them easier to respond to," which directly addresses my biggest gripe with the demo. It's important to note, however, that all these tweaks are targeted at making the game easier to learn, not to master. The devs still want to make sure that players who want a greater challenge can find it.

The team wants to "reward players that are good at rhythm games," Sakajiri told me. "So they 🎶do want to have that option there. If you're really good at rhythm games, you're going to get more items. You're going to get more merits. They want to have various kinds of players be able to enjoy it."

"꧅Feedback is already coming in, and some people are saying, 'hey, this game is, like, really hard'"

Kazuto Sakajiri, producer

While I might've struggled to complete much of the Ratatan demo - though I did beat that boss on a second attempt thankyouverymuꦕch - I didn't have much trouble enjoying it regardless. When you nail the proper commands with perfect rhythm, lining up a 'fever' bonus for a pow🅠er-up and wiping the floor with an enemy fleet, it feels so satisfying, and chasing that feeling is more than enough incentive to learn the mechanics.

There are two key differences between this and Patapon. One is that you now directly control a character in each stage, running back and forth as you command your forces and try to dodge attacks yourself. The other is that the game now takes on a roguelike structure, where you set out on short runs featuring a series of short battles followed by a boss fight, choosing what rewards you want to pursue along the way. It's a bit like choosing what rooms to pursue next in a game like Hades - do you want to get currency you ca🎃n spend for permanent upgrades, a boon to help your build in the current run, or a desperately needed health refill?

I remain a bit of a roguelike skeptic even to this day, buܫt I have to admit that the format fits perfectly for Ratatan's bite-sized challenges. Spend a few minutes in intense rhythm battles, hop out for a chill time shopping for upgrades and choosing what to do next, and repeat. It creates a nice flow, and gives the game a distinct identity separate from its spiritual predecessors.

Ratatan

While the team is "very happy with all the support and the enthusiasm that the Patapon series has brought to Ratatan," Sakajiri says, "they also want to emphasize that Ratatan 💙is its own game. It's a separate IP. It is important that it retains the 'Kotani-ism' [from] the original developer. He's here and puts his own unique charm on both games. So they definitely want players to feel that. But they also want to build upon Ratatan and have people approach it as its own ♕separate IP."

With Ratatan set to enter early access in July, Sakajiri said the team is looking forward to feedback from fans - not just on potential problems like the early difficulty, but also on what people want more of. The devs "really enjoy comments and feedback like, 'oh, a player really likes this Ratatan character. They really like this song or this level.♔' So as they continue development, they want to try to build upon that and try to get a better feel for what th🐻ey like and implement that into the full version." With the work the team is already doing to respond to play feedback, I'd say they're on the right track.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Yesterday's 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Donkey Kong Bananza Direct proved without a shadow of a doubt that the upcoming 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Switch 2-exclusive isn't one to miss, but we still don't know exactly what development team is working on it within Nintendo. Although one option is looking increasingly more lik🤡ely, two former Nintendo marketing leads speculate that this could be bad news for 3D Mario fans, as the next game could be "many years away" as a result.

Nintendo has remained tight-lipped about exactly who is making Donkey Kong Bananza, but right from its reveal, many have speculated that it might be Production Group No. 8 – better known as EPD Tokyo – a team that's produced nothing but bangers from Super Mario Odyssey to Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 3D World. The new DK game does look very visually reminiscent of Odyssey – hell, the costu💮me shop shown during yesterday's Direct practically screamed it.

Speaking about the situation prior to the Direct🐽 stream, Kit Ellis, Nintendo of America's former director of social media marketing and original content, and Krysta Yang, the company's former senior manager of creator relations and original content, also suspect that EPD Tokyo is indeed the team responsible. However, unless they've got "some new arrangement where somebody else is involved in one way or another," then the "implicatiꦚon is we might just be waiting for a good long time before we get the next 3D Mario game," Ellis suggests.

"That team is incredible, nobody's disputing the quality, [but] t❀hey are not fast, they are not prolific, they are not pumping out games," he continues.

Noting that it's unlikely that Nintendo would want to do anything to "jeopardize" its next 3D Mario gamไe, Yang speculates: "From my perspective, if it is confirmed that EPD Tokyo is working on Bananza, then that does mean, unfortunately, that 3D Mario is probably coming very late." Ellis chimes in: "Just reset the clock on 3D Mario."

Yang then suggests that it could t༺hen be "four, five, six years" until the next 3D Mario game, with Ellis adding: "We're still going to get it, but it's going to be more of a late-generation [game], at soonest a mid-generation."

This puts Nintendo in an interesting position, Ellis says, pointing out that we also don't know when we'll be getting the next mainline Zelda game after Tears of the Kingdom. "The two big things that carried the year one of the Switch 1, 🌄and it's likཧe we're going to be many, many years into the Switch 2 before we start to see those or even hear about those, honestly. It's a different path and it does feel riskier than those games that were just like, 'oh, this is a sure thing.'"

Furthermore, Yang speculates that the potential impact Donkey Kong Bananza's development could have, by theoretically making "our precious, beloved 3D Mario game" be "many, many, many, many years away," could be a reason why Nintendo hasn't actually shared who's working on it yet. "I think that they are scared that that sort of underlining thing will kind of put a little damper on this game. An𝕴d they need this game to perform for them, the🌊y're still in this very critical launch period."

Of course, all th🍌is is speculation for now, ▨as we don't know for sure who's making the game at all. With Donkey Kong Bananza's launch just a month away, however, we don't have long to wait until we find out.

For now, be sure to check out our picks for the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:best Switch 2 games.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Nintendo Switch 2 is better than the original in every way. At least, that's the case if you stick to using standard TVs and monitors. Thanks to the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:dock compatibility issues I won't shut up about, external screen connectivity is extremely limited. That hurts when you consider how transformative hooking up the OG console꧋ to a portable monitor is, particularly when it comes to sharing multiplayer sessions o💦n a big screen with minimal effort.

If you aren't looking to 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:buy a Switch 2 right now, you could instead grab a KYY K3 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:portable monitor at Amazon . Doing so will let you hook the OG Switch up with a single cable and play Mario Kart on a bigger screen. Sure, you could use the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming handheld itself as a display using its kickstanꦆd, but the 15.6-inch panel will let you kick back with a controll🌳er or make split-screen multiplayer more viable.

KYY 15.6-inch Portable Monitor |
Save $69.99 - This lightweight 15.6-inch portable monitor is one of the cheapest out there, but its 1080p capabilities and decent contrast make for a nice way to extend your handheld screens. If you ever find yourself in a hotel room or on a camping trip wishing you had a larger display for your Switch, this is a smart investment.

UK:

I don't know about you, but I'm having a blast with Mario Kart World, I wish I could bring the racer to my friend's house or even an evening garden party without trailing along an entire setup. Plus, the latter idea isn't practical since the official dock requires AC power, whereas I'm able to use the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:KYY K3 Portable monitor with the original Switch and the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Steam Deck OLED using literally one USB-C cable.

KYY Portable monitor connected to Steam Deck OLED with Tomb Raider gameplay on screen.

That's bec🥂ause KYY's slimline screen comes with full-featured USB-C ports, which means it can receive power and a video signal at the same time. Keep in mind if you go for the single cable solution, you'll have to use your handheld's battery as a power source. But, since the display only requires a 12W supply, you're not instantly going to run t🃏hings flat.

Ideally, if you want a setup that'll let you play g🧸ames like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on a 15.6-inch display no matter where you are, you'll want to back it up with a Power Bank. I personally use the 100W Baseus Blade, which just so happens to be down right now, but most high-wattage alternatives should fit the brief.

Are there better portable monitors out there? Absolutely, and if you've got the cash to splash, massive options like the QHD 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Uperfect Umax 24 are going to serve up 1440p 120Hz perks for compatible systems. That said, the K3 offers up a solid 1080p experience for an💎yone who simply needs a larger display for either multiplayer sessions, travelling, or even jus🍨t playing in bed.

(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)

In the context of the Switch specifically, the K3 doesn't overstep its bounds. It's only 15-6 inches, so the aging visuals of Ninty's last handheld won't be spread too thin. It's also just 60Hz, so you're not inves⛎ting in faster refresh rates that you likely won't use. And, despite coming in at under $70, the colors and contrast aℱre absolutely fine. Although don't even dare trying to use it in direct sunlight since its brightness won't cut through, which isn't surprising since most laptop displays will struggle too.

I figured my OG Switch would end up joining my Game Boys and 3DS on the retirement shelf. But, since the Switch 2 can't tap into its USB-C video out capabilities, it looks like I'll need to rely on the older portable for my on-the-go setup ambitions. The connectivity issues with the new console are an upset when it comes to any external display with support, as my plans of also using it at my 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:gaming desk without a secondary dock have also been dashed.

Ultimately, I don't think Ninty undওerstands how much it's hampering its new handheld's functionality with silly restrictions. I'll have more respect for the Switch 2 once it isn't completely reliant on the🐓 official dock for TV mode, and if a fix does arrive, I think more players will start exploring the wonderful, minimalist world of portable monitor setups.

<![CDATA[ Latest from GamesRadar+ in Platforms ]]> Trying to figure out how to do the Rematch Alley Oop achievement? It’s worth 10 Points on Xbox or Bronze trophy for PlayStation 5, so worth taking a fe🌃w minutes to complete – and with our help, you probably won’t even need that long. We’ve also got all the other available skill moves at launch, and will add to the list as the game evolves, in your Rematch Alley Oop guide.

How to get the Rematch Alley Oop achievement

The Rematch Alley Oop achievement tasks you with assisting a team-mate’s goal by pl🧜aying them a pass off t﷽he wall. There are two ways we recommend completing this:

1. The most obvious is to aim a hard pas🦩s off one of the side walls, by holding down Square/B and using the mini-map to track a team-mate’s position. Aim and time it right and it’ll set them up neatly in the penalty area to blast the ball home, and secure your achievement.

2. Surprisingly, the easier way is to deliberately misguide a shot on goal. Aim over or wide and if a team-mate puts away the rebound then you still earn the achievement. You may get some sarcastic calls of “Good job” for your troubles, but once the Alle♛y Oop is secured you ca🌼n go back to playing normally.
