There is no doubt that the site is one of the best pieces of horror movie marketing I have seen. It puts Longlegs’ to shame. Not only does 🦋blackangeltapes create a wider world around Bring Her Back, it’s also making UK fans all the more excited for the film to release later this summer. But there has got to be more to it. That’s why I think the Philippou brothers should put it to use.

Move over V/H/S

There are 15 items and video🦩 tapes listed on the site in total, from spiritual objects to blood taken from very human serial killers – all with multiple pictures and descriptions attached, building an almost complete story around each listing. It is clear that so much effort has been put into the site; it would be a shame for such a great amount of lore to go to waste.

From this site alone, the Philippou brothers have the basic ingredients to make a fully fledged anthology movie, similar to the likes of Shudder’s V/H/S franchise. The filmmakers could create a Bring Her Back spin-off of sorts, made up of 20 or so minute-long short films based aroun🐼d listings, exploring how the tapes came to be, and what the objects were used for. The actual site deserves some screen time, too.

There are rules and reg⛄ulations listed for site users, as well as many streams of comments, meaning it is used often. We do know this from Bring Her Back, but this only so🌱lidifies that there is something much larger at play.

A found footage horror dream

Aside from the objects, the scariest part of the site has to be the tapes. The clips range from footage shot at a haunted house where a family went missing to recorded confessions from serial killers. There is also a post containing multiple accounts of a ‘dark web death dealer’ killing people by injecting an elusive liquid into their necks. One thing is for sure: more of these tapes would make a killer found footage horror movie.

But the two most spine-chilling videos o🐽n the whole site have to be ‘Sleep Watching Demon Slowly Eats Girl’ and the ‘Tari Ressurection Tapes’. The girl eating demon clips show a demonic creature watching a girl sleep and then attempting to eat her, kind of like The Midnight Man does in Gerald’s Game. "It gets closer every night and then slowly begins to eat her bit by bit each night," read🐷s the description. The Tari Resurrection Tapes are even worse and link directly to Bring Her Back. The clip shows a woman being hanged and then brought back as a demon, who then starts to fasten on the face of another.

The videos are akin to some of the best found footage horror movies released during the sub-genre’s heyday in the early ‘00s, such as The Poughkeepsie Tapes and Lake Mungo. It’s no secret that the found footage genre has faced a bit of a drought over the past few years, but 💧the Philippou brothers could be its saviors. Some of blackangeltapes is much scarier than a lot of horror movies released over the past few years, after all.

Either way, it looks like we're in for a very different Dracula tale this time around.

There’s no denying that shark movies play a pivotal role in pop culture. The Jaws franchise has changed the way we see the ocean. A new kind of sea monster

When thinking of the scariest creatures on earth, many people rank sharks pretty high up. We as a society are obsessed with them. But it ಞis a fact that we are🔴 much more likely to be killed by a person than an animal. If you were to book a cage diving trip in shark-infested waters, would you be more scared of the fins that lie below, or the instructor?

Set in Australia’s sunny Gold Coast, Dangerous Animals follows an American nomadic surfer named Zephyr who looks to escape her troubled past in the ripples of the ocean. But before she can hi🥀t the waves one morning, she gets abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer, played by Suicide Squad’s Jai Courtney, who enjoys feeding his victims to the ravenous animals be🐽low.

There is no doubt that sharks do kill people. But sharks don’t often kill for fun; it’s for survival. They certainly don’t tend to play with their food. Not like Dangerous Animal’s villain Tucker, who uses charisma to lure victims onto his boat, and takes great tim♌e, care, and enjoyment in the art of the kill. This plunges Zephyr into survival mode in a fight to the death that would be over much quicker if it were a shark after her. I know what I would choose.

Misunderstood creatures

Rather than making a killer great white its villain, Dangero♒us Animals pays tribute to Jaws in another way, by ⭕righting one of Spielberg’s biggest mistakes. Despite being one of his biggest movies, Spielberg has made it known that he has regrets about vilifying sharks. In an interview with , the director admitted he fears sharks are "mad" at him for "the feeding frenzy of crazy sword fishermen that happened after 1975."

, following the release of Jaws and its harrowing 🌸depiction of shark attacks, shark populations in the US were impacted – which is something "I truly and to this day regret," said Spielberg. The creatures still aren't safe in the water: according to , fishing-related shark deaths reached oveꦅr one hundred million per year in 2019.

But this is where Dangerous Animals comes in. By shifting the focus onto a more malicious villain, the film looks to change our perception of sharks. “I was excited to finally ma🎀ke a shark film that didn’t vilify the shark,” said director Sean Byrne via Dangerous Animals press material.

This all started with writer Nick Lepard stumbling upon an open letter from scientists who were worried that the horror genre’s depiction o🦄f sharks as vicious killers would cause further harm to the species. “The serial killer Tucker was born from this,” said Lepard. Tucker is the direct result of the public’s twisted fascination with shark attacks.

The death of the CGI shark

Another reason to celebrate Dangerous Animals during this jawsome 🐎month is simply because it looks better than most shark horror movies. Over the past decade, I have seen more CGI sharks on screen than any other animal. But it💫 looks bad. I don’t want to see any more flying or three-headed sharks ever again!

The entire creative team on Dangerous Animals agreed pretty early on that there would be no mechanical sharks. Instead, archive researche꧅r Lisa Savage found footage of real sharks that would later be blended with the live-action portion of the film. When it came to the movie’s few shark attacks, the team opted for VFX, but ensured the sharks maintained their natural features. The shark footage and ocean shots included in the movie just show how the Dangerous Animals team was able to carefully present these beasts with respect.

Naturally, in the lead up to the grand half-century anniversary of Jaws, you’ll want to dive into as many shark movies as possible to celebrate the occasion. But🔯 what better way to pay tribute to the iconic horror pic than going to see the brand new Australian fin-tastic slasher? Although nothing can ever replace that legendary feature, Dangerous Animals certainly flips the sub-genre on its head, reminding us who the real mo🌃nsters are.

On May 19, a woman in Argentina was reportedly injured after a piece of the movi🤪e theater ceiling fell on her during an evening showing of the new horror sequel, as reported by . Luckily, the piece of roof missed the woman’s head as 🧜she was sitting leaning to the side on the armrest.

This is extremely ironic, as we all know that the Final Destination franchise is all about Death using strange accidents to take people out. Unlike many of the horror saga’s characters, the woman left the theater with her life, but we can’t help but wonder if another moviegoer happened to have a 🌠vision of the scenario beforehand.

What makes the whole situation even creepier is that there is actually a movie theater death scene in the fourth film, The Final Destinat▨ion. Towards the end of the flick, protagonist Nick has another vision where a movie theater blows up, taking the life of his girlfriend and her best friend, Janet. Although Nick manages to save the two, the trio end up dying in the end aꦦnyway, as Death always finds a way.

This isn't the only coincidental link Bloodlines has back to the fourth movie, as a fan previously stated that they think a character from Bloodlines is related to Nick’s friend Hunt in T🐠he Final Destination, due to his love of lucky pennies. Bloodlines also makes cheeky nods to Final Destination 2 and 5 by including a logging truck and 🦹the fifth movie’s killer bridge and skull-piercing p🍎oster.

Although there is no movie theater scene in Bloodlines, the newest Final Destination installment certainly packs many inventive deaths into its runtime. Let’s just say, you won’t want to set foot inside a hospital anytime soon. Once inside, Erik attempts to kill and then resurrect Bob🏅by in order to cheat death, just like Kimberly does in Final Destination 2. But while hiding out in an MRI room, the machine turns on and sucks Erik into it due to his many metal ꩵpiercings. When Bobby, who is now sitting in a wheelchair, is pulled into the machine behind Erik, Erik is fully pushed into the machine, which bends him in half.

Like many horror movies tend to do thes⭕e days, many fans assumed that a lot of the deaths were constructed using CGI. And although some editing definitely took place to achieve the final result, horror fans are very impressed with how much work went into this one. “What a creative and cool-looking way to do it practically,” said , and that this is “the most traumatizing death of the whole movie.”

The film’s SFX makeup a🌠rtist, Todd Masters, has also shared some sketches showing how the scene was designed. In Masters’ post, which you can check out b💖elow, you can see how the artist planned to use two people to execute the stunt.

However, the "scribble," as Masters puts it, also details how Erik’s ribs puncture through his stomach, where he has a large skull tattoo. The bones poking through the skull is very reminicent from the memorable Final Destination 5 poster, which you can check out below. This is just one of many clever Final Destination nods that Bloodlines includes, as well as a logging truck (from Final Destination ♔2) and the bridge from the fifth movie.

Nevertheless, it’s cool to think that the kid with the penny links back to Hunt in some way, even if he is just inspired by him. There is no doubt that the two share personality traits. This wouldn't be the first nod that Bloodlines makes to past movies either, as the 2025 flick also includes a logging truck, made famous by the second movie. Plus,𒊎 at one point in Bloodlines, we see the main characters driving along a very similar bridge to that of the fifth film.

I'm a horror fan, and I wanted to make something for guys like me — fun, weird, scary, and completely unpredictable. Set in New York state, Final Destination follows a high schoole🍬r named Alex who boards a flight to Paris with his school friends. However, once on the plane, Alex has a vivid vision of the plane going down. When he comes to, he manages to save himself and some of his friends from the crash, which takes place almost exactly as he imagined it. But Death has a design, and soon comes for those who escaped their fate, one by one.

Back in 2000, the horror market was flooded with bloody and ghoulish flicks for audiences 🍌to pick from, from werewolf-centric Ginger Snaps to supernatural sequel Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2. But none really broke boundaries like Final Destination did. The film replaces the usual monster or killer with Death, turning the act of dying into an antagonist in itself. But rather than portraying Death as a hooded figure with a scythe, the villain shows up as a slight breeze, a chilling suggestion that it could be anywhere at any time.

An inescapable fate

Another way the movie stood out from the crowd is its exploration of the idea🧜 that you cannot escape your fate. In most horror flicks, there is always one last person who manages to best the killer, or even go as far as to defeat the monster – just look at the final girl trope. But in Final Destination, there was no way that Alex could have bested Death, just as we as humans cannot avoid our own inevitable fates.

In turn, the first movie and the franchise as a whole plays upon both our natural curiosity and our fear of the unknown. With each film that passes, we are faced with more strange and very realistic deaths that any of us could fall victim to. In fact, the franchise has had a direct impact on the way ☂we live our lives. I mean, can you ever look at a logging truck the same? Never mind a tanning bed. Although each ☂victim could have stopped their specific death in one way or another, the world is a dangerous place, and Final Destination makes sure we know it. Another deadly object could always be waiting around the corner.

At the end of the day, when we go to bed at night, we can rest knowing that♕ no killer clowns, vampires, ghosts, or ghouls are going to get us, because they aren't real. But the one thing we cannot escape in this life is our own mortality. Death will come for all of us, just as it came for Alex and his friends in 2000. That's why Final Destination remains one of the most ingenious and widely accessible horror franchises to this day.
