Jon Bernthal will return as Frank Castle and co-write the special with We Own This City director Reinaldo Marcus Green.

"It's like a shotgu🔥n blast of a story, but also has all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story," Marvel's head of television Brad Winderbaum told . "It's so exciting."

Bernthal will be returning as Frank Castle in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, but it's not yet clear how big his role will be. We seen some glimpses of him in the trailer, and it's been teased that he'll play a bigger part later in the season. In a separate interview, Winderbaum teased that while nothing was set in stone, there were ongoing discu𝓡ssions about how to make this happen. Matt Murdock star Charlie Cox wasn't as convinced though, sharing that h🌳e'd rather his blind superhero made it into the Avengers if he had the choice.
